so i watched cobra kai all in two days and i have so many -

overall the parallels in ck are done really well, drawing comparisons and also subverting them constantly. theyre well thought out

THE PARALELOGRAMS

fr tho, the angle being explicitly the cycle of trauma and its effects and how trumatized adults in turn traumatize kids, maliciously or not, is so interesting

but! on the flip side of that, it feels like the writers are getting in their own way @ letting the characters grow. especially this last season. theres only so many times you can do "johnny and daniel are getting along but 5mins later they are (literally) fighting over some dumbass random issue" or "johnny puts in 20% of effort with robby and then gives up" before it gets on your nerves yknow?

i see daniel no longer talks like macchio ingested 15 shots of espresso before every take and idk how to feel about that tbh

like ye og cobras were shitheads, but tkk iii is just two hours of daniel being emotionally and physically tortured.

like, the third movie is.............chaotic, to put it nicely, and many people ignore it, but the writers clearly didnt. daniels actions are, in a way, responding so much more to the events of tkk iii than to the first movie ie. johnny himself, AND. daniel doesnt rly seem to have dealt with that trauma? he never told sam? doesnt feel like hes ever told amanda? he doesnt even say terrys name out loud? freaks Out over kreese ? the way he reacts to robbys deceit? his FACE when he walks past the new "fear does not exist in this dojo" paint or kreeses photo? hmMm i sense Pain

especially when, the FIRST SCENE they see each other, suposedly in 30+ years, the first thing to come out of daniels mouth is QUOTE "u still got those golden locks huh?" WHO SAYS SHIT LIKE THAT DANIEL FUCKING SAN

also amandas immediate reaction "your pretty boy rival?" like. can we talk about the fact that daniel had to have imparted to his wife the very important information that his high school bully/karate rival was like Really Cute and Fucking Hot Actually

the writers Knew exactly what they were doing and honestly.............. power to them

also I was thinking that daniel sounded strangely fond in that first scene, and i wonder if he developed a weird affection for johnny on the grounds that of all of his Karate Rivals johnny was actually the only one who didn’t actively tried to literally kill him

i was actually delightedly surprised with how great the chemistry between them is, like from the get go i am Invested. their rl friendship totally bleeds through and its fantastic

johnny lawrence: i am down in the dumps, i fucked up my whole life and my sons probably, largely in light of the trauma that the father figure sensei and the philosophy of my karate inflicted on me and all my friends. u know what i should do, as a traumatized, unreliable mess of an adult? teach that same philosophy to some other kids! what could go wrong!

but really i enjoy the setup of it. i kinda like that i watched it late because, season 1 was johnny setting himself up for failure in a way and it was exciting to watch it all go to shit sjfn

Like. his heart might be in the right place, but theres just.... not a way to teach something like ‘strike hard, no mercy’ and not have it fuck up a kid

case and point: aisha, miguel and hawk become annoying as all hell over that bullshit in the end of s1, even before shit gets truly fucked up

billys subtle panicked eyes when he sees hawk and miguel fighting dirty in the all valley was SO GOOD especially in parallel with the panic that is so visible in his face in the movie when kreese tells bobby to injure daniel and in the sweep the leg scene

seen people question wether kreese should have returned and i absolutely think he needed to. johnny needed to realize that cobra kais fundamentals are flawed, at the root, beyond kreese himself being a toxic piece of shit

also who are we kidding? we are here to see the tkk characters play on new playgrounds!

i get what they're doing abt kreeses backstory, ( also. cobra kai. pq eles caem nas cobras djjs sorry) but did it need to take up that much time? feels like they couldve done it in half the run time and developed some other stories better

aisha was cool and im kinda mad she wasnt in s3, especially bc a storyline with her tory and sam was like RIGHT THERE , but also... cant say i was super super fond of her... doesnt feel like we ever spent enough time on her

overall its a good cast but the main draw for me remains the og cast

the tory/sam miguel/robby Thing. enjoy how theyre Narrative Foils and i like how their stories were so dramatically entangled but oh god give me a break with the teenage love square for the love of god. if u gonna put us through that at least have the decency to not make it so straight

and honestly some sam/tory miguel/robby romantic tension would even make more sense. just saying!

also im not sure how i feel abt the cobra kai: red miyagi do: blue theyre going with since some of daniels most iconic looks in tkk are also red. like it was a color they (johnny and him) sorta shared. i get it, opposite but complementary but idk... a little too fire nation and water tribe for me .

and like the cobra kai kids are so funny abt it bc their outifts grow progressively more ridiculously coordinated. its like do they group chat every morning before leaving their houses?

robby still sticks out like that tho. he went thru an athleisure/daniel san tsleeves phase and now hes back in the bandts grunge, but his color scheme doesnt fully blend with the other cobra kais. hmmmm.

STORIES OF LIGHT AND DARK SPOILERS BELOW!

Ok so Stories of Light and Dark has been out for a day and throughout different stalking of different blogs who have read and reviewed it, I have some idea of what I’m in for

Tbh I got my hopes up a little too high to begin with despite being nervous for it because I guess I was expecting some more in-depth looks at some of my favorite episodes, and the thing is that this book is ultimately made for younger children and is written very straightforward and summarizing for them in mind. Which is fine, kids rock, and now I know not to expect too much introspection lol

I still haven’t read the book yet because I unfortunately don’t have a library card (I really should dangit) and I wanna wait until I’ve got my hands on the whole thing so I can’t read the two free Amazon chapters. Instead I’ve happily spoiled myself wherever I can and this is the summary I’ve gotten from the talk I’ve heard so far:

You can’t go wrong with whimsical trollish old man Yoda so his chapter is sweet and fun, which is nice because I think it summarizes the very first episode and he was so sweet with the three clone troopers to begin with so I’ll like that

I’m going to need to let down my expectations for the Dooku chapter solely because it is based off one of my all-time favorite TCW episodes and if I already love the ep, I’m not gonna be able to view the book as fairly when it doesn’t have anything but the dialogue. Still, apparently there are a few lineage moments in there and I know I’ll enjoy that

Anidala chapter! I’ve spoken way too much about how I feel the show needed more of Anidala actually being a cute couple lol, so apparently this chapter is simplistic and has more of those cute moments so hey, ya know what, I’ll take that (isn’t it set during the hostage crisis ep? I’m not sure but if it is it might make me like the episode better because I’m a Sucker for fluff). One thing is that since it’s the only Anakin chapter, while I’m glad we get Anidala, I kinda wish we had had like, another that got solely into his headspace-- ok ok ok basically what I’m saying is that I wish the Mortis arc was in here because it’s my favorite and I feel him narrating that would be a real interesting read do not mind me xD

Padmé chapter!!!! Ok so I am Wary about this chapter. Was wary about it before because I haven’t exactly found a Padmé portrayal in a book/comic that I’ve quite agreed with before, idk, I’m just ridiculously picky about my Pads interpretations I guess??? But yeah and most of the other reviews I’ve seen of that chapter is a collective “Hmmm idk...” and particularly on Padmé’s characterization, so that is just increasing my wariness lol. The Heroes on Both Sides ep is the one I think it follows, and I always found that one kinda interesting as an insight on Pads so I’ll see how I like what’s done with her here. If not it’ll literally just go in my discarded Padmé pile I have for her xD

Will also need to let down my expectations for the Umbara chapter cuz idk it’s also one of my favorite arcs that I hold to very high standards so I guess I can’t expect the chapter to make me have the feels I did in the show because it is literally impossible to put the characters through any MORE hell than the show already does. I’ll just have to play sad background music and revisualize the entire ep in my mind as I read, it’s not bad, it’s the same plot that makes me hurt and love at the same time, it’s just nothing special

Only saw one review of the Ventress chapter and it was a very glowing one so now I’m VERY excited for that considering that she’s always been a character I’ve never quite been able to understand in the show, as cool as she is.

I have purposely avoided all spoilers of the Cad Bane chapter specifically because I want the reaction first from a Certain Friend Of Mine (you know who you are)

Oooooh the Maul chapter I’ve heard is also really good. Maul’s a difficult character for me to write, so I’m excited to see how someone else pulls it off. Apparently it’s also kinda purposefully confusing, narratively, which I feel really works for Maul. And also apparently it’s not all about his Obe-session, which on the one hand is sad because I wanna read a bunch of rambling about Obi Wan, but it’s supposed to be an interesting look on him!

Aight so the Obitine chapter... ok so one big negative point must be given to it straight up because I’ve heard it has Obi Wan of all people bring up the fucking “the Jedi kidnap kids” bit and it’s like bruh. BRUHHH. Did the author TRULY need to kick that particular UNTRUE hornet’s nest?!?!? Like rly, why would they even put that in a canon book when-- GRRR. Ok but honestly besides I think it’s gonna make me laugh. WAIT DON’T YELL AT ME YES I KNOW ITS THE LAWLESS AND THE LAWLESS IS A V DEPRESSING EPISODE, LISTEN. So, I heard some summaries of that one, and tbh it just feels like the author and I watched very different episodes? (or maybe I’ve gone mad watching that ep literally over 30 times for Mutuals hahaaaaa) But yeah, it seems the author’s choices are gonna be so different from my own interpretations it’ll be honestly funny to try and see the angle they’re coming from

ok i’m in middle of writing fic but i see that it seems to be gush night tonight and i remembered a gushing i did last night to riya so here i am, finally remembering to post it here.

Boogiepop: That reminds me I rly love the sumo anime and how it did alola, even tho i didn't rly care for the games' limitations of it. it makes me wanna do an actual, like, time spent adventuring/visiting together with Lance for like a month, year, whatever, to see all the islands and explore, for me to catch a lot of the Pokemon and/or do the trials and for us to find new training spots. Like alola has a lot of lore!! So much lore!!! I wanna spend that time learning about it with Lance and finding the tapus and doing the trials (wait tho i think we're too old? Were trials for under a certain age or was captain under a certain age? I don't recall. Tho, ah, i wonder if it'd be rude to do it as a foreigner lmao) and/or at least do the actual newly formed League that Kukui made and also lance vs kukui!!! Two v good dorky husbands who are so in love and amazed by their awesome wives, the two wives basically being ultra fangirls in the audience....... But also just.in general, visiting for a long time And catching pokemon with him! I rly wanna surprise him with a drampa!!! Meanwhile kalos was just like Spends the first week together in like lumiose or something, then visiting a few more times during when he could but not like, enough, y'know? I don't wanna do that again =m= even if i rly wanted to explore/do another gym challenge, there was a lot of "ooh i wanna show him this next time!" And "oh! I giggle to myself and butterflies begin to rumble in my stomach. I’m love sick, its disgusting.

I text back: hey! i work 12-1 and i have my last midterm at 3 and then im free after that! so maybe we can grab dinner together later?

I hold my phone to my chest and smile like a dummy as I walk out of my car and walked to the cafe. Campus was quiet today, everyone taking their exams and then having a break from school for once. The cafe was full of people cramming before their exams as I walk in switching out with one of our younger employees, Seungkwan.

“How’s business SK?”

“It’s crazy. That table over there of chem majors is hyped up on espresso shots and keep asking for more and I became concerned and cut them off with just water shots.”

I laugh and cause multiple people to turn at me in disgust for disturbing their precious study time.

“Business is business,” I laughed as I throw my apron over my head, “Ready for your anatomy exam?”

“Ready as I’ll ever be,” he scoffs as he takes off his apron, “Ready for your econ exam?”

“You know it,” I showed him my study guide, “good luck on your exam!”

“Thank you! Good luck on your presentation, queen!” He laughs as he walks out.

“Thank you king.” I shake my head and laugh.

And Seungkwan was right, people were crazy right now. Students, professors all walking in and out of the cafe demanding their drinks and having the MOST specific orders.

Just make it to the date with Seungcheol, it’ll be worth it. It’ll be worth it.

The receipt stays sitting on top of my closed laptop ever since last night’s study sesh indenvures.

“What do you mean what should you do? JUST TEXT HER!” Jihoon yelled at me while brushing his teeth.

“Don’t you think that’s too forward?”

I hear the sink turning off and Jihoon stomping towards my room, “the girl gives you her number and I don’t know, I would think she would want you to send her a text!”

I sigh, looking at the receipt that’s been sitting on my laptop for a day now, “ok, I’ll send her one.”

I try and wait for her response as I rush out of my room with my backpack, laptop and my meal prep container, but Jihoon was driving so I didn’t want to anger him even more, so I run out of the apartment, locking it shut.

Time passes and Jihoon and I just make it to campus and on the walk to our european literature classroom, I get a notification.

“She’s your good luck charm.” Jihoon nudges me.

“Yeah, I guess she is,” I smiled to myself putting my phone away as we find out seats in the lecture hall.

The cafe didn’t slow down for me, in reality, it got busier.

Tons of people flooded in while I was working cashier, Chan was working the coffee drinks and Vernon on teas. I was in charge of our younger employees on exam days. The cafe’s work schedule had certain versions since we were located by a university. We have our exam schedule, season schedule and off-season schedule. But any who, t-minus 30 minutes until my shift’s over and 3 hours until my exam and 6 hours until my date with Seungcheol.

So, as you can tell, I want this day to go faster.

“Hey V!” I turn around to my two little assistants.

“What’s up capt?”

“I need to refill the coins, do you think you could watch the register for me? And if anyone orders, only take cards while I’m gone, no cash ok?”

“You got it, capt.” He salutes, causing me and Chan to giggle as we all do our separate things.

I head to the back of the cafe and open the back door to get some fresh air and check my phone for a bit and sit on the lunch table set up back there for our breaks.

My peace and quiet is quickly interrupted as I hear a voice call out, “y/n!”

Holy crap, it’s him.

“Hey! Exam go well?” I waved him over to me.

“Yeah, actually! I guess I really did need that long study session with Jihoon last night,” he nervous laughs as he rubs the nape of his neck, “taking a break from work?”

I patted the seat next to me and he sits.

“Yeah, it’s been chaotic all afternoon. Tricked some newbies to let me step out because “the register needed more change” but its work,” I laugh, “Here, I’ll get you something to snack on,” and then walk over to the ovens and grab three bagels and cream cheese, fruit and jam, “Not sure what you prefer and I got one for your friend too,” I smile at him as I set the food down on the bench.

“This is too sweet, thank you.” He opens the wrapper and we both began to eat, in utter silence.

Yet, the silence wasn’t awkward.

It was nice. Just looking into his eyes, I just feel comfortable around him, yet we’ve barely spoken to each other. No bustling noise from a busy cafe, no beeping from scanning the register, nothing disrupting us. The low mumble of the cafe buzzed around us, yet we didn’t hear it. We weren’t interrupted.

Until I hear Chan yell in pure panic, “NO! VERNON THAT DOESN’T GO THERE!”

Seungcheol laughs and I just sigh.

“Well, I think I should let you go back now,” He nervously laughed again, “I didn’t mean to disrupt your little break.”

“No, no! I think it was really cool to see you, it's always really nice seeing you, of course,” I blushed, looking away from his gaze.

“I’ll see you later?”

“For sure. Wear something nice, yeah?” I smirk at him.

“You know it,” He winks as he begins to walk away, “Bring me a drink later?”

“Ok! What drink?”

“Surprise me!” He screams as he gets farther away.

alright, vera was born to a very young couple in wales. they’d gotten married fresh out of high school and had a child (her) just two years later. that being said, for about two years after, her mother began distancing herself from the father... not because he was a bad guy, but he moved cities entirely and she was NOT about that.

to be perfectly redundant, for about two years, it was just vera and her mother.

grandparents weren’t about their daughter being married. at 18. did they help pay rent for a separate living space? until vera’s mom was 21, yes. but was she welcomed in their house? lmao!!!!!

THEN her father blew back into town. they reconnected, they both began working more so that vera’s mother didn’t have to rely on her own (we’ll get to her dad’s parent’s in a second).

vera, at the Tender Age of Three™ learned that she was a complete Daddy’s Girl™. although she loved her mom for obvious reasons, she connected with her dad on an entirely different level. he was fun! he was playful! he was young, but he was the perfect dad! he even told dad jokes! which she didn’t get until she was five because three year olds usually aren’t that smart! they did little ‘acrobatic’ things! it was cute and fun and good!

but? this is a roleplay character?

our man died from unexpected heart failure. the autopsy showed an abnormality that hadn’t previously been discovered, and we know our man rarely went to the doctor. vera was six at the time.

her mom: married at 18, mother at 20, widow at 26.

because she and her mom had never developed that Close Bond™, it was difficult for her mother to figure out how to... like... keep her from wandering around... because just telling her not to wasn’t working... so she was like “you know what.... a leash.”

so whenever her mom was at work and vera wasn’t in school, she was tied to a tree in the backyard.

eventually, her mom kind of just... threw in the towel... she left completely for a change of pace. she said she would be back and that vera would be under the care of her father’s parents in athens until then.

her father’s parents had always been more accepting of the young marriage. they’d been more supportive of them being young parents, in spite of her father having left for a while. they’d definitely been supportive of vera and her mother during that time because they were like “omg mood”

there were a few other kids under their care, all related or not. they did some work for her father’s parents, but nothing very laborious – just sort of... Bonding™ ja feel?

so her mom DID keep her promise and returned three years later when vera was nine. mind you, vera had never held any feelings of resentment towards her mother. when she was six, she... just didn’t get it. at nine, she was old enough to be like “i get u.”

BUT her mother DID get remarried. she didn’t resent her for that, but... she was not fond of the new husband. he wouldn’t accept the ‘dad’ title, was very stern, very serious, made her mom seem like an absolute joy, etc.

but her mom was in love, so what could she do? and then they had a son together, so what could she do? nothing.

that summer, to learn more Discipline™, vera was sent to live with her step-father’s parents in london. boy howdy, it was nothing like her father’s parents! they had a knack for pointing out flaws, induced actual laborious work, constantly quoted the bible at the worst of times, and thought that a single head nod was the equivalent of “good job!” there were a couple of other kids there too, but yikes.

after the divorce was filed, vera’s mother was like “u kno what. my parents hate me. my first husband is dead. my second husband was a douche. i have no reason to be here anymore.” so they went to the land of golden opportunity

um so… i woke up thinking of this old friend. she was like best friends w my bad ex? like i used to hang out w her like crazy. she was rly nice? mostly? tho she def had this issue where she didn’t rly know what she wanted in life. and let other ppls warped judgements of “how ppl should act” rub off on her.

like i remember times she would more or less call me a lazy piece of shit to my face. like it was somehow “understood”? but then i’d be like “why are u calling me that?” and she wouldn’t know. bc it wasn’t her actual opinion. she liked who i was. idk she was just rly confused. i think her brother was a cop. her dad was emotionally neglecting and like conservative or militant? i remember her always wanting to smoke pot but also saying “drugs are bad™”. she was someone who u could tell always wanted to be free but was held back by the opinions of the people around her.

especially her on again off again bf? i… didn’t like him. he wanted to grow up to be a politician. he only listened to classic rock. he looked and acted like a conservative wanabee eric foreman from that 70s show, but somehow even worse. he had her convinced that her dream was to be “a loving housewife”… it made me sick. i remember how he tried to convince her to stop hanging out w her best friend and me JUST bc she smoked pot. bc “she was an evil hippie and bad”. i mean tbh she SHOULD have stopped hanging out w my bad ex, but for completely dif reasons. like he was def that kinda guy. a selfish, immature, stubborn, self-righteous idiot. but he was the first guy to ever rly like her. and she had… self esteem issues. i remember how she would… was always waiting for him to decide to wanna go out w her. she seemed so lonely.

her and i were kinda friends separately from my bad ex (lets call her “A”). so one time i remember she ended up coming over to hang w me n watch rocky horror in my room? it was rly fun tbh!! we were having a great time! it was totally innocent! but i remember at one point she like… got weird. got up. and was like “im sorry i think i’m being a bad person i gotta go”. and left? i didn’t get it at the time? or rather… i think i denied it. she clearly liked me, wanted something to happen that night, and felt like a bad friend for having those thoughts. i never asked her about it but looking back it was p obvious. also A was a control freak n just a bad person… so i wouldn’t be surprised if she told L to stay away from me. even tho A was constantly cheating on me n using everyone around her etc. idk it was complicated.

i also remember another time before her and that guy that became her bf (lets call her “l” and him “m”)… i remember there was some small party at my house and for some horribly embarrassing reason my bad ex (we were still together then) convinced me to mess around w her under a blanket in same room as our other friends? we were all v v drunk. i guess it made others in room feel v lonely n so L and this other girl started like… both making out w the one other guy in the room? it was bizarre. that kind of stuff is fine in some circumstances? but this was rly unhealthy. i remember the guy felt bad and told the other girl he had to stop bc he had always rly liked L and wanted to see where things would go w her? other girl said she was fine w it (and knowing her persona it easily was?) and he ended up napping on floor w L. next day i think she woke up, completely regretted what happened, and ran back to M. it kinda sucked for guy bc he rly cared about her but she never even was willing to talk about what had happened. to her it was just a drunken mistake (i knew she kinda liked him back but obv she was scared).

even w all that stuff, L was a constant member of our hangout group for like… 7 or 8 years straight? idk! it was always rly fun w her! even if, looking back, A constantly was ruining all our fun w her insane bullshit. i have fond memories of 3am park hangouts n just roaming around talking n going on adventures… i’d never cheat on a partner. never have, never will. but i think i did have like… feelings for L that i always ignored? that part of her that… wanted freedom? from those weird family’s/bf’s/society’s ideals that she let chain her down? it was attractive. she was a nice person just doin her best.

anyways i remember around when A and i finally broke up for good (only a month after my dad died, if u wanna know how awful of a person A was). and she ended up taking me aside n warning me that A had been cheating on w me w another guy, but it’d gotten serious w him. and A of course was lying and stringing me along so she could get money n sex from me etc. A using me was p common. but L had had enough and “betrayed A” (did a v nice thing) and told me. i think that was… really what set in motion A and i being done for good. that helped wake me up about what a horrible person A was. and had always been. i’ll always be grateful to L for that. that must’ve been hard for her. and i think her and A’s like 10 year friendship died over that. which rly was a good thing like A was a terrible person.

anyways fast forward like 2? 3?? 4 years? L had gone off to a college out of state w her boyfriend M. she… followed him around. no judgement, but it prob wasn’t good for her. i was in an apartment in another city and me and A had been DONE™ for years. i was still def hurt from the 8+ years of abuse, but i was def over her at least. seeing other ppl regularly. it was def a weird time for me but… that’s another story.

L and i hadn’t rly talked in years. i just didn’t rly associate w ppl A still hung around. i never knew her and L had stopped being friends or i prob woulda kept up w L. i don’t think L and i cut off contact on purpose, but it was just one if those “things”. but L hit me up outta the blue. was like “ back in town do u wanna hang?” and we did! it was rly nice seeing her! we went out and about. idk. we started hanging for a bit. but she… idk she clearly rly enjoyed my company? but also… had those weird judgements. idk.

one time we were hanging and she was at my place and saw all the alcohol i had layin around and was like “hey uhhh can i have some?” and i was like “hehe okay i guess we can drink” and ordered a pizza and we just hung out.

idk but before we got drunk she finally told me why she was back. M, the guy she had followed to college, had done the gross, stereotypical dude thing of breaking up w her right after they both graduated. i got a vibe he had been cheating on her all throughout too. he rly was the type. and as we drank we talked about it. i felt so bad for her. she vented all night. and idk all i remember was we were both v drunk and i think i was… idk why my head was in her lap? but she was playing w my hair. and idk. we kissed. things happened. she seemed so happy w it! i was too. i even stupidly cracked a joke “i bet A would be rly pissed if she saw us rn” and we both laughed. i always regretted sayin it tho bc its not like i was doin it to get back at A.

but i remember we were in my bed making out bc i had accidentally gotten aggressive w her n slammed her into a wall n started kissing her? so hard her nose started bleeding? i felt awful but she LOOOVED it and idk we somehow wound up in bed. idk i kinda regret this. bc… i was having a hard time around then and… just sleeping w all my friends? it just became… clockwork. i would do what i thought my friends wanted me to do regardless of how i felt. i had become kinda a slut.

so i remember like… making out but then i started to escalate things? and i think fir a split second she sobered up and was like “wait lets cool this down a little”. and i was like “okay no prob” and we both tried to go for a walk n find a park? we walked hand in hand and she kept telling me how happy she was? like how… this was the kinda stuff M would never do with her? she was just smiling a lot. it was cute. but i was so drunk n still fairly new to area, so i took her in wrong direction from the park. we ended up giving up n just walking back.

we got back in and thats i think when she sobered up mostly but i wad still out of it? and she realised her dog hadn’t been fed. it was def a partial excuse but she rly loved that dog so i could tell it was REAL guilt. i felt bad bc i tried to take her hand n go back into my room bc i wanted her to stay n cuddle? i was just drunk. i wasn’t forceful, but i shoulda been like “oh that’s fine!” but tbh i was also a touch worried she was too drunk to drive. well anyways… she left.

later we did have a looong talk about it. like… she ended up going to try and get back with M again (i still will never know what she saw in him like he rly used her n treated her bad like even going so far as to ask her advice on dating other girls after they broke up). but idk i thought she was smart enough to end things w him, and could tell her and i had feelings, so i tried to stay a lil closer than friends? idk what i told her but it was along the lines of “we can stay friends but if things happen sometimes it’s okay w me”. i look back on it w embarrassment but i guess it wasn’t that bad a thing to say?

but rly it was mostly a drunken mistake. and she was scared. and wanted to cut it off. she couldn’t end things w M like she was still torally in love w him even tho he had abandoned her. tbh i know what that’s like. well anyways i remember a few hangouts later she just… bailed on me? in a rly mean way? i had gone to pick her up from her house (idk 30 min drive each way) and she just… totally stood me up. i was parked at her house like texting her wondering where she was? and she sent me a text like “sorry something came up”. and wouldn’t tell me what happened and i got annoyed and drove home.

i have a feeling now that like M had… shown back up in her life and she sorta… threw me away to run back to him? i mean i can’t take it too personally bc she woulda done that to ANYONE. i don’t remember what happened after that but we just stopped talking again. i saw later on fb that her and M had gotten engaged or married?? idek? idk if her and i are still fb friends or if one of us blocked the other or what? i don’t remember.

but idk. i hope she’s well. i hope M got WAYYY better. or she left him. or idk. i wouldn’t even know how to contact her. i’m almost afraid to. like bc i… could see her giving up on her dreams and just being that housewife to him. even if she was mildly content doing that, i know she’d never be happy. and it’s so unlikely that he’d have grown to be good to her. i just… hope she’s doing well and is okay and happy. idk why i woke up worrying about her. it’s been so long… i’m such a dif person now. idk. time is weird.
