“jesus, how many boxes do you have?” joshua complains as you hand him another box of books to lug into his apartment.
“only a couple more,” you tell him. “these are all the things i couldn’t fit in storage.”
“get a bigger unit next time,” your brother grumbles as you start the walk back into his building.
“no,” you say stubbornly, and you can almost hear him roll his eyes. “why did you park so far away?”
“why are you complaining!” he shrieks. “i’m doing something very nice for you! be grateful!”
“i am,” you say as you rush to open the door for him, and he quietly thanks you. “seriously, you don’t know how much this is helping me, big bro. i was about to have a breakdown trying to find a place before my old lease ended.”
“i heard,” joshua laughs. “mom called me the other week and told me to check on you, she thought you were losing it.”
“yeah, well,” you sigh, “if i had to deal with those roommates any longer i was going to.”
“so you’re looking for a place by yourself?” joshua asks as the elevator dings. he lets you go in first, reminding you of what floor to press before you respond.
“yeah, i can finally afford one, so i figured it would be nice to have my own space.”
“i can understand that,” he nods.
“you happy living with your roommates?” you ask. “not ready to give up your frat boy days from college?”
“shut up,” he says. “not all of us got good jobs right after graduation. i need roommates if i wanna live in this area.”
“and remind me of their names again?” you ask, the elevator stopping on your floor. you let joshua go first, following him down the hall and trying to remember the unit number.
“well there’s seungcheol, or cheol,” josh starts. “you haven’t met him yet, he’ll be home later.” he unlocks the door and lets you in as he goes on. “and then mingyu-”
“i remember him,” you say happily, glad to know there’ll be a familiar face here.
“and i remember the little crush you used to have on him,” joshua smiles evilly.
“i did not!”
“hm, you sure?”
“swear on your life.”
“whatever,” he laughs. “anyway, he’s got a girlfriend now, and we haven’t seen him here for longer than a couple hours since they started dating. so you can stay in his room until you find a place.”
“oh no, i couldn’t-”
“he doesn’t mind,” joshua waves you off, your box placed ungracefully on the floor. “seriously, he doesn’t even keep his stuff here anymore. it won’t be an issue.”
“if you say so,” you sigh. “ok, one more trip?”
“nope,” joshua shakes his head before laying on the couch. “you’ve used up all your favors for today.”
“what a helpful brother you are,” you deadpan. “give me the keys. i’ll go get the rest of my stuff. alone!”
“sounds good!” josh replies, tossing his keys to you dangerously. “don’t get lost!”
“no promises!” you shout back, locking the door behind you as you go. you thankfully don’t have much left to bring up, so you’re able to grab a majority of your things this trip. what’s left you can get later, because you’re exhausted. now that you know you have a bed and not an air mattress to sleep on, the idea of laying down is becoming more and more appealing. only problem with you grabbing so many things is now you can’t open the door on your own. thankfully, a guy who must live here too rushes over to hold it for you, nodding when you thank him for the help. he catches the elevator for you both before it closes, sticking his arm out so the doors won’t close in on you as you bring your things inside.
“what floor?” he asks, and you start to reply when you see your floor already selected.
“oh, you’ve got it already,” you tell him, and he nods. end of the conversation, it seems, until you get to the floor and start walking in the same direction. you slow down, waiting for him to maybe turn off at a different door, but, yep, he’s unlocking the door to joshua’s apartment. you stand in the hallway stunned for a moment before you go up and knock the door, not wanting to dig for the keys now that your hands are full. mystery man comes to the door, and you stutter out a greeting.
“don’t tell me you lost my keys already,” joshua calls from within the apartment, and the man, who must be seungcheol, looks between you both.
“you’re joshua’s sister?” he asks, and you nod. he steps aside, letting you in, as he says, “sorry, i didn’t realize. i’m seungcheol.”
“i pieced that together,” you smile. “nice to meet you. thanks for letting me stay here a while.”
“no problem,” he replies. “joshua didn’t really give us a choice anyway.”
“josh you said they were fine with me being here!” you whine, looking for your brother, who pops his head out of the kitchen with a smirk.
“he’ll get used to it. you hungry, y/n?”
“starving.”
“cheol?”
“i can eat,” he shrugs, eyeing you carefully as you put your things down. josh didn’t say his sister was hot. well, that would be weird. he just didn’t say much about you other than you’re a couple years younger and in need of a place to crash, so the fact that cheol can’t take his eyes off of you is a bit conflicting for the man. he looks away before you can catch him staring, clearing his throat before he says, “um, i’m gonna go wash up.”
“oh, can you show me where the bathroom is?” you ask.
“uh, sure,” cheol says awkwardly, walking down the hall as you follow. he points to one door and says, “that’s joshua’s room, not sure if he said that already. your’s is back there,” he points to a door further down on the right, and then to the door behind you, “that’s your bathroom. you’ll share with your brother.”
“it’s like i’m a kid again,” you joke, and cheol smiles softly. “where’s your room?”
“what?” cheol sputters.
“well is there another bathroom? you said josh and i would share this one, i’m just curious,” you go on. “sorry if i’m prying.”
“no, yeah, um, i have the master suite since i found the place for us,” he explains. “the guys let me have it as a thanks for doing all the apartment hunting.”
“it’s a nice place,” you note, and he hums in agreement.
“ok, well, um, i’m going,” he says, pointing to his room.
“right, right, sorry,” you say, waving him off. you step into the bathroom to rinse your face off, removing some of the sweat from your long day. you head back out into the kitchen to bother joshua and he looks up as you walk in.
“so how do you like the place?” he questions, and you tell him it’s nice. without looking at you he asks next, “and how do you like cheol?”
“he’s a little awkward, actually,” you reply. “you sure he’s cool with me staying here? i won’t be here long, if it bothers him.”
“he’ll be fine,” josh waves you off. “he may just be tired. looks like he was coming back from the gym so he’ll be better after his nap and a snack. he’s like a toddler.”
“noted,” you laugh. “you need help with anything?”
“nah, you can start unpacking your stuff,” josh says. “i’ll call you when the food’s ready.”
“joshua?”
“yeah?” he asks, turning to look at you.
“thank you for letting me stay here. really.”
“anytime,” he smiles. “just remember we share a bathroom again, so no long ass showers.”
“way to ruin the moment,” you laugh.
you end up going back to “your” room to change, putting some of your clothes away in mingyu’s empty dresser. he really must spend all his time at that girl’s place, you think. you take your toiletries into the bathroom, squatting in front of the sink so you can arrange them among joshua’s countless bottles. as you’re balancing and trying not to knock over something in an expensive glass bottle, cheol walks down the hallway in a tank top and sweats, water droplets still sticking to his chest. the sight of him booking it takes you by surprise, so you fall onto your ass and shake your head, clearing whatever strange thoughts the sight of a damp seungcheol were bringing to your mind.
meanwhile, cheol joins joshua in the kitchen, opting to sit at the counter while josh finishes the noodles. he wants to say something about you, but isn’t sure how to bring it up without seeming weird. he also doesn’t have much time before you come out of your room, so cheol just goes for it.
“um, does y/n need help moving anything else, you think?” cheol offers, and josh looks over his shoulder nonchalantly.
“you can ask her,” he shrugs. “i’m tapped out for the night though, so i’m sure she is too.”
“ok,” cheol nods. he starts playing on his phone, not noticing you walking into the kitchen until joshua starts complaining about something.
“what, i can’t drink your water?” you whine back, frustrated that your brother won’t let you have one of the bottles in the fridge.
“because those aren’t mine!” joshua informs you. “they’re cheol’s, so at least as him before you take one.”
“seungcheol, can i please have one of your waters? i can get the next case if you want,” you say as you turn around, and it takes cheol a second to focus. you’re wearing an old concert t shirt (cheol is pretty sure he has that same one) and shorts that are barely there. cheol is distracted by the sight of your thighs on display and it takes his brain a second to catch up, so he nods before he really knows what he’s agreeing to.
“wait, what? you don’t have to buy more water,” he says, finally there. “have as much as you want. joshua’s just weird.”
“you’re telling me,” you say as you hop up onto the counter.
“i hate when you do that,” josh says, turning to you with his hand on his hip.
“you know when you do that you look just like mom?”
“shut up.”
“you!”
“oh my god!” cheol interjects with a laugh. “are you two going to bicker all the time?”
“no,” you say in unison.
“most of the time though,” you add, and joshua scoffs.
“only when y/n annoys me.”
“am i gonna have to play referee for you two?” cheol asks. “my god.”
“sorry,” you apologize. “we’ll cut it out. right josh?”
“whatever,” he mumbles, pulling the pot from the stove. “y/n can you get a pot holder from that drawer under you and put it on the table for me?”
“yeah, hold on,” you say, moving with a quickness. “don’t burn yourself.”
“i’m being careful,” josh says softly, and cheol laughs to himself at how quickly you can go from bickering to caring for each other. you both join him at the counter, you struggling to get into the tall chair.
“watch it shorty,” he teases, making you blush.
“oh no, i can’t deal with both of you teasing me,” you scold. “so zip it. i’ve got little legs.”
“hm, it’s cute,” cheol says loud enough for you to hear but quiet enough that josh doesn’t catch it over the sound of shuffling bowls. he passes them out and starts serving you and cheol. “thanks man.”
“yeah thanks mom,” you joke, and josh mumbles an expletive before eating his food.
-
after eating, you and joshua were both so tired you just went to your rooms. cheol however stayed out in the kitchen, promising he would clean up. instead, he politely snoops through your things, trying to learn more about you through your boxes of junk. he doesn’t touch anything, just looks, so he doesn’t feel that bad about it. he takes note of the books laying on top of one box, jotting down the titles so he can try to find some of them later. he smiles when he sees a soccer jersey falling out of a duffel bag, and he’s about to break his no touching rule when he hears a loud, “HEY!” from the hallway. he jumps at the sound, bumping his elbow on one of the boxes and toppling books over. he whirls around to find you, clad in a baggy sleep shirt with tired eyes watching on in amusement.
“what the hell are you doing?” you question, and cheol tries to stammer out a response.
“i uh, i saw a bug,” he lies, and you nod.
“hm, i thought josh would keep his house cleaner than that,” you judge.
“i’m the pig in this relationship, it’s probably my fault,” cheol says as he follows you back into the kitchen. “couldn’t sleep?”
“no, i’m still hungry,” you grumble. “the noodles were my only meal today.”
“you need to eat more,” cheol scolds and you wave him off as you open the fridge.
“whose lunchable is this?” you ask over your shoulder.
“look at me,” cheol gestures. “do i look like i eat those?” you stare maybe a little longer and harder than you should, prompting cheol to ask, “find something else you like?”
“what? no,” you shake your head. “i should’ve known it was my brother’s. he lived off of these for a month when he was younger.”
“really?” cheol chuckles. “what was joshua like as a kid?”
“hm, angelic?” you say sarcastically, hopping back up on the counter like you were earlier. you start eating your lunchable as you keep talking. “he was the perfect one and i was the biter.”
“the biter?”
“i bit so many kids i almost got kicked out of school,” you confirm. “sorry. don’t know why i just told you that. it’s embarrassing.”
“it’s okay,” cheol smiles. “you still like to bite people now?”
“only when provoked,” you say suspiciously.
“i’ll remember that.”
“so you really don’t mind me staying here?” you ask with cracker crumbs on your lips. cheol finds that captivating, so he keeps his eyes on your lips as he responds.
“i really don’t mind,” he nods. “i’m just happy we could help. josh was worried about you for a while.”
“yeah, well, he never liked my roommates-”
“or the area you were in,” cheol says sternly. “he said it wasn’t safe.”
“oh it wasn’t,” you nod. “but it was cheap.”
“still, you need to be careful,” cheol tells you.
“didn’t know i was signing up for a bonus brother by staying here,” you tease.
“i’m not being a bonus brother, i’m simply a concerned citizen,” he says, hand over his heart. you fall silent while you finish eating, and cheol does his best to commit your form to memory. he wants you to be embedded in his eyelids when he lays down and closes his eyes tonight, and he only feels bad for a nanosecond that he feels this way about his friend’s baby sister.
“ok, well, thank you for the company,” you say as you look for the trashcan.
“under the sink,” cheol says, anticipating what you were looking for and keeping his eyes on you still. “all good?” he asks when you’ve thrown everything away, and you nod. “alright, well, good night.”
“night seungcheol,” you say with an awkward wave as you go back to your room. when you’re halfway down the hall you hear cheol call your name, so you turn to find his eyes smiling at you.
“call me cheol, i like that better.”
“oh, ok. night cheol,” you try again, and he happily nods.
-
when you wake up the next morning, you hear someone in the kitchen and assume joshua must be up and about. you wrap a blanket around yourself, laughing at the fact that mingyu has a pink fuzzy blanket in his room. you make your way into the kitchen, ready to complain about how cold you were last night.
“dude, are you rich or something? why’d you run the ac all-” you stop short, staring at cheol’s bare back. he looks back at you, hair ruffled, and has the audacity to smirk. “sorry. thought you were josh.”
“he’s still asleep,” cheol replies, and you consider just going back to your room to hide until you’re sure your brother is out here as a buffer. with his back to you still, he asks, “do you want eggs?”
“uh, sure?”
“are you?” cheol laughs, turning around to face you fully. you’re doing your best to keep your eyes on his face, but when he crosses his arms over that broad chest of his you falter. “i promise i won’t put anything weird in em.”
“that’s reassuring,” you say with a yawn, letting the blanket fall slightly as you cover your mouth. cheol sees your sleep shirt again, this time stretched out from your movements as you slept, and he wonders for a moment if it would look like that after he uses it to pull you closer and- “do you mind if i make coffee?”
“go for it,” cheol says, grateful for the distraction from where his mind was going. “machine’s over there.”
“thanks,” you mumble, half asleep still. you stand in front of the coffee maker for a moment, brain processing what you need to get first.
“you need me to find the instruction manual?” cheol asks, watching you the whole time you were standing there.
“make your eggs cheol.”
you empty the coffee grounds that were still in the bucket, then take a fresh filter from the stack on the counter. you move around cheol to fill the pot with water, making sure there’s enough for you all to have a cup if you want. after pouring the water in, you notice you’re missing one crucial thing. you check the counter, nothing. you try the drawers below you, then the cabinets below those. still nothing. you move to the pantry and spend a moment frustratedly moving things around in search of coffee and you come up empty once again. as you turn around to look everywhere once again, you almost jump out of your skin seeing cheol so close, watching you with an amused look in his eyes.
“jesus, you scared me,” you gasp.
“i’ll wear a bell next time,” he jokes. “looking for something?”
“the coffee, where do you keep it? please don’t tell me you’re out,” you whine, and cheol just smiles.
“you can find it on your own, i believe in you.”
“what? no, tell me.”
“and why should i do that?” cheol asks seriously.
“i don’t know, because i’m cute?” you joke.
“yeah, you are,” cheol says, holding your gaze, quirking an eyebrow to challenge you. you swear you would deck him if he wasn’t so handsome. you whirl around to look in the pantry again before you hear cheol’s deep voice just barely say “colder.”
you look at him suspiciously, and he’s back to cooking the eggs. he’s keeping one eye on you though, sneaking looks at you and trying not to smile at how ridiculously cute you are being so frustrated over this. he prompts you with a few more “cold”/”colder” clues before you whine in exasperation.
“but i already checked over here,” you complain, back in front of the machine. “i’ll just go get coffee, forget this-”
you reach out to turn the coffee maker off, and cheol mumbles “warmer.” your ears perk up, so you move your hand around the counter to get a clue. finally you lift your hand toward the cabinet above the coffee maker, and cheol says you’re getting warmer.
“hot,” he says as you finally open the cabinet, “hotter, hotter than you are, hottest, you’re on fire! be careful!” he continues, even though you’ve found the coffee and you can now finish the pot you were making. “well that took a while.”
“because someone was being childish,” you chastise him, and cheol smiles like he just won the lottery.
“but it was fun!”
-
“why didn’t you like that place?” joshua asks as you leave another perfectly fine apartment.
“there’s no dog park,” you reply, and your brother groans. loudly.
“you don’t even HAVE a dog,” he complains.
“but i want one! i can’t have a dog if there’s no where for it to go!”
“come on y/n, that place was nice!” joshua tries hyping it up for you. “there was so much space, way too many closets which is good for you and all your junk, and that view was amazing.”
“the view was really nice,” you concede, and josh bumps shoulders with you as you keep walking toward his apartment.
“plus it’s walking distance from me,” he smiles. “so you can bother me whenever you want.”
“that is a plus.”
“and it means you’re close to cheol too...”
“what?” you stop and look at him, and he laughs.
“i’m just saying. it’d be easy for you to visit. doesn’t matter who you’re visiting.”
ignoring joshua’s insinuations, you go back to discussing the apartment you just saw. if you wanted to apply you needed to move fast, but you were nervous. joshua listened intently as you aired all your worries, and like the good big brother he is he calmly countered each ridiculous thought with logic and only a few jokes. by the time you were walking down his hallway, you were convinced that you’d found your apartment. you grab your laptop from mingyu’s room and start working on the application, joshua peering over your shoulder every once in a while to help you decipher what it’s asking for. you’re thankful for the help, and you turn to ask him another question and almost jump out of your skin.
“jesus, make some noise next time,” you gasp, seeing shirtless cheol behind you again. he was leaning over the couch, close enough that his chin could almost lean on your shoulder.
“whatcha doin?” he asks with a cheshire cat-like grin.
“applying for an apartment,” you inform him, and you’re not sure but you think his face falls just slightly. “do you ever wear shirts at home?”
“why, is that a problem for you?” he asks. you feel like a goldfish, closing and opening your mouth like an idiot trying to decide how to respond.
“y/n?” joshua laughs as he comes back from the bathroom to see you mooning over his roommate. “you good?”
“i’m being heckled,” you finally reply, and cheol laughs.
“i asked if she needed help, sorry if that’s heckling now,” he says as he moves away from the couch.
“it is when your tits are out,” you grumble, scrolling back to the page you were working on. cheol made you mess up, but don’t tell him that.
“not like you haven’t seen them before, sweets!” cheol teases, and joshua looks between you both in amusement.
“you’ve been staring at his tits, y/n?”
“no, he just never has clothes on apparently,” you defend yourself. “he was shirtless this morning when we had breakfast too.”
“you had breakfast together?” joshua asks, looking to just cheol now. he had told josh he slept in today and that you must have made the mess in the kitchen. why didn’t he say he ate with you?
“we were in the same room when we ate, yeah,” cheol nods. joshua leaves it at that, mostly because you start whining about something you don’t understand on your application. he rejoins you at the couch and cheol goes to his room, silently cursing himself for letting josh catch him so easily. he didn’t want your brother knowing he was catching feelings, so he’ll have to play it cool from now on.
-
speaking of being cool, the boys keep this apartment too cold. after your first freezing night, you wore more clothes to bed thinking that would keep you warm. unfortunately, you don’t know where your hoodies are, so you had to make do. so when you wake up in the middle of the night shivering, you stomp out of your room to go bang on your brother’s door. just as you’re raising your fist to bang on his door, you hear cheol’s open down the hallway.
“you again?” you groan, not missing the fact that cheol still isn’t wearing a shirt. “how are you not freezing?”
“i am,” he replies, and you fall silent. “i was getting up to change the thermostat.”
“oh.”
“and you were..?”
“gonna complain about it to my brother?” you say sheepishly, making cheol laugh.
“joshua is the one that keeps it so cold, he would just tell you to go back to bed,” he tells you as he walks toward the thermostat. “you know you technically live here. you can adjust this if you want.”
“i know,” you nod, watching cheol move it to an acceptable temperature.
“so why didn’t you?” he asks.
“i uh, didn’t think about it.”
“no?”
“that, and i don’t...know..how to use it...” you mumble, hoping cheol drops it.
“you don’t know how to use a thermostat?” he teases with that perpetual smirk he seems to always wear around you.
“no, and at this point in my life i think it’s too late to learn,” you say. “thank you for fixing it tonight, hopefully i won’t wake up frozen in the morning.”
you try to turn and head back to bed, but cheol grabs you by the back of your shirt and pulls you toward his warm chest. he places an arm around you lightly, turning you so you’re staring at the thermostat, trying very hard to ignore cheol’s direct stare as he speaks again.
“it’s easy sweets, just push this notch,” he demonstrates, “then push the up and down buttons to change the temperature. this is good for when you want it to be cool, but if you want to clean out my wallet you can keep it a couple degrees cooler.” he finishes and turns his head back toward you again, and you notice just how close he is. you’re afraid of moving, of speaking, but cheol takes care of that for you. “any questions?”
“yeah, can you move your arm?” you whisper.
“no,” he whispers back. “why are you whispering?”
“because i’m scared?” cheol looks at you confused. “i’m afraid you’re gonna put me in a headlock.”
“you want me to?” he laughs, finally stepping back to give you some space. “do you need extra blankets or anything?”
“ah, no,” you reply. “i wanted to find my box of hoodies but i have no idea where it is, so the blankets in mingyu’s room will be fine.”
“you need a hoodie?” cheol asks, and without giving you a chance to respond he disappears into his room. he comes out with a mound of blue fabric in his hands before pushing it into your arms. “use this.”
“no, i can’t-”
“take it,” he says firmly. “or i’ll be forced to keep you warm myself.” at the sound of that threat, you hastily pull the hoodie on before thanking cheol and ducking back into your room for the night. he stands out in the hallway, smiling to himself.
-
you’re busy for a few days after that, finally settled at your brother’s place and able to focus back on work and finding back up apartments if the other place falls through. you’re not home much, and by the end of the week joshua sits you down to convince you that you need to go out.
“josh, i’ve had such a long week,” you start to justify. “i don’t wanna go out this weekend. i’m afraid i’d fall asleep at the club.”
“no, no, i didn’t mean anything like that,” he clarifies. “i think you need to go on a date.”
“why?” you ask, a little shocked. joshua never cared about your love life, mostly just judging from afar (and sometimes not so afar). you tend to keep that part of your life private anyway, so it’s not like you let joshua be a part of it outside of obligatory meet the partner nights with your family.
“i don’t know,” he shrugs, “i just think you’d enjoy it. i actually have this friend-”
“oh god, please don’t do this-” you start to complain, afraid josh is about to set you up with cheol.
“no, no, hear me out,” josh continues. “he’s your age, he’s sweet, he’s cute i guess, and i think you’d really like him.”
“so i’m guessing you have all of this planned?” you ask, and joshua smiles.
“be ready tomorrow at 8. he’s picking you up, and i’ll be at jeonghan’s if you want to bring him back-”
“don’t say that please,” you request, holding your hand up. “i’ll go on the date but i don’t wanna hear my brother insinuate i’m gonna have sex at his apartment.”
“i didn’t say anything, you’re the one that insinuated,” joshua laughs as he gets up, passing behind you and kissing the top of your head as he goes to his room. “you’re gonna have a great time, sis.”
-
despite not wanting to go on this date, you were nervous. you don’t want to make a fool of yourself in front of this guy, because he’s friends with your brother and anything embarrassing will be brought to joshua and used to ridicule you for the rest of your life. you also don’t wanna write this guy off before you meet him, because he could be nice. maybe.
that fire is quickly put out when you actually meet the guy. his name is chan, but he claims josh and all their friends call him dino. you wanted to ask why, but you were afraid of the answer. you just smiled politely and tried to lock up quickly, hoping that the faster you move the quicker this date will be over.
at the sound of the front door closing, cheol is stirred from his nap. he didn’t have any big plans, but he had gone to the gym earlier and exhausted himself so he thought he deserved some rest. he assumed the door sound meant you or joshua was home, but after checking he realized it was just him. he wonders for a moment if he should check on you, but he decides against it. instead he takes a shower and starts working on dinner, choosing a chill night to rest since he has the place to himself.
meanwhile, your date is going horribly. first of all, chan was super awkward walking with you to his car, and then he didn’t speak much on the ride to dinner. oh, well, he did, except that was only his road rage coming out. you heard this man say more cuss words in a fifteen minute car ride than you’ve heard from anyone else all year. he’s said fuck more times than he’s said your name, and quite frankly you’re not confident he knows what it is.
once you get to the restaurant, chan basically leaves you in the car. you’re not a damsel in distress, you don’t need a man to open your door for you, but it would be nice if the man you’re on a date with would at least wait until you’re out of the car to head toward the restaurant. you make it to the curb and don’t know where chan has gone until he pops out of the restaurant asking an annoyed, “you coming?”
once you’re seated, things don’t get much better. the waitress is pretty, and she’s obviously more interested in chan than you are. you’ve given up on the date by this point, but you think you can get a free meal out of it, so you keep suffering. when he’s not flirting with the waitress, chan is mansplaining to you and gesturing so wildly you’re afraid he’s going to knock everything off the table. he tries asking you questions but keeps talking over you, and when he does let you speak he either looks offended or checks his phone. before your appetizers come, you’re ready to leave.
“what did i do to deserve this?” you text joshua as you half listen to chan describe the most boring thing in the most cocky way possible. you hope joshua will respond, but there’s nothing.
“are you mad at me? is that why you tricked me into going on the worst date of my life?” you text again, and still no response.
“hey, that’s kind of rude,” chan says, and you can feel your blood start to boil.
“weren’t you on your phone when i was talking earlier?” you ask in disbelief, and he shakes his head.
“no, i wasn’t. because that’s rude,” he repeats. you want to groan and slam your head on the table, but you refrain. “whatever. i’m going to the restroom, text away.”
that you do. you keep texting joshua, trying to annoy him into responding, but he stands tall. whatever he’s doing is more important that your horrible night. you have an infinite list in your mind of things that you would rather be doing right now, so you understand josh’s disinterest.
speaking of disinterest, you look up to find chan and see him leaned over the bar talking to another waitress. this time she’s way into it, hand on his arm and phone out to take down his number. you watch as he types it in, then pull out a barstool and take a seat. now you do groan, and without leaving the table you call your brother, ready to beg for a ride back home.
“come on, pick up, pick up please,” you mumble, hoping beyond hope that joshua will be your knight in shining armor. you get his voicemail and leave behind some choice words before slamming your phone down on the table, frustrated tears threatening to fall. you’re still new to this part of town, so your brother is your only lifeline right now. you don’t trust your ability to walk home without getting snatched, and you know that calling any of your friends would mean sitting here for at least an hour while they come get you. you’re about to go hide in the bathroom when you think of one other option.
seungcheol.
you don’t know where he is or what he’s doing tonight, but you find the “temporary roomies” chat that josh put you into and call cheol from there. you start the same plea, whispering pick up over and over, but cheol answers on the second ring.
“hey sweets,” you can tell he’s smiling. “what’s going on, you and josh having fun without me?”
“cheol, hi, listen,” you start, “josh set me up on a blind date and the guy is a dick and-”
“what did he do?” cheol cuts you off, and you tell him about the car ride, the attitude, and now his interest in any woman that’s not you. “fuck him. fuck your brother too. where are you? i’m on my way.”
“cheol, no, i was mostly calling to see if josh was home-”
“send me the address, y/n,” he says firmly. “i’ll be there soon.”
he wasn’t lying. it feels like only a few minutes have passed when there’s a commotion at the door and you see cheol stalking through the restaurant looking for you. you gather your things and stand, and chan sees you out of the corner of his eye. he comes rushing over just as cheol reaches you, and it’s almost comical watching this stare down as chan gets closer.
“come on, we’re leaving,” cheol tells you, pushing a helmet into your hands.
“what is this?” you ask, eyeing chan awkwardly.
“hey, pal, we’re on a date, so she’s not going anywhere,” chan tells cheol, and he laughs in his face.
“sorry, pal, date’s over,” he says, pushing chan back lightly. “go back to the waitress. we’re done here.” cheol doesn’t wait to hear what other bullshit chan might try to say. instead he grabs you by the wrist and guides you out of the restaurant to a motorcycle propped up outside. he looks at you smoothly and motions to the helmet. “i said put that on, doll. can’t ride without protection.”
“o-ok,” you stutter, placing the helmet over your head delicately. cheol stops you and turns you toward him, clicking the helmet into place under your chin, feeling his fingers on your neck sends a tingle down your spine, and you do your best to ignore it.
“there you go,” he whispers, satisfied with his work. he grabs your head in both hands and playfully shakes you from side to side, smirking as he says, “quick road test, sorry.”
“cheol, you’re crazy,” you laugh, thankful for the distraction. “i didn’t know you drove a bike. this is cool.”
“glad you like it,” he says as he hops on. “now come on, let’s go home before i go beat that loser up.”
you carefully and tentatively hold onto cheol’s shoulder as you sling your leg over the seat, sliding down accidentally so your chest is pressed firmly to his back. you grab onto his other shoulder and wait, thinking cheol will leave any second.
“can’t hold on like that,” he seems to whisper, looking at you over his shoulder. “you’ll fall off.”
“well i don’t wanna bother you-”
“please,” you hear him scoff, and then he’s pulling your arms down to his waist. he even takes the liberty of lacing your hands together over his stomach so it’s easier for you to hold on. and suddenly you feel very warm. you can feel the outline of his muscles through his shirt, and being so close to him is getting you drunk off of whatever shampoo or cologne he’s wearing.
“cheol,” you say before he kicks off, and he’s looking back at you again. “i’m sorry about this. thank you for coming to get me.”
“anytime,” he says sweetly, his eyes flicking to your lips briefly. “now hold on tight.”
before you know it, cheol is kicking off and zooming down the near empty street, ripping a scream of surprise and joy out of you. you thought you’d be petrified right now, but this is actually exhilarating. you’re not sure if it’s the adrenaline of the motorcycle ride or the proximity to cheol, but you almost feel lightheaded. you’re shrieking and laughing like this is a rollercoaster, and there’s a smile plastered on cheol’s face as he listens.
when you get to a red light, cheol slows down and instructs you to keep your feet up as he places his firmly on the ground. he looks back at you as best he can and asks, “having fun?”
“this is incredible,” you smile. “do an extra lap. i don’t wanna go home yet.”
“yeah?” cheol asks happily, and you nod.
“wait, unless you had plans!” you say. “oh my god, cheol, i’m so sorry, i didn’t even consider that you might have been busy, oh god. i should’ve asked, i should’ve-”
“stop talking,” he tells you. “i’m glad you called. i’d do this for you every day of the week if you needed it.”
“thank you,” you say meekly as cheol revs the bike before carefully driving again. you ride and listen to the sound of the city get whipped by around you, watching the lights and realizing how much you’re enjoying yourself. you lay your chin on cheol’s shoulder and think about the butterflies in your stomach, noticing that they’re going more wild now than they ever have before.
when you get back to the apartment, you’re immediately met with the smell of food. you’re about to cuss joshua out, assuming he had been home this whole time, until cheol walks ahead of you into the kitchen and asks, “did you get to eat on this horrible mistake i just saved you from?”
“hey, whoa, i was doing this because of my brother,” you say defensively. “it wasn’t my mistake, i was bamboozled.”
“you could’ve said no,” cheol shrugs as he leans against the doorway. then he holds your gaze and asks, “why didn’t you say no?”
“i-i don’t know,” you reply, turning away because cheol’s stare is too heavy for your right now. “i guess, yeah, i did it because i thought it would make josh happy since he set it up, but...i don’t know. it would be nice to have someone, i guess.”
“to have someone?” cheol smirks, taking a step or two closer to you.
“yeah, like have someone be mine,” you say shyly, looking up to find cheol closer than you expected. he stands in front of you, smirk hanging off his lips, arms loosely crossed over his broad chest.
“you have me,” he says, moving so close to you that you can feel his breath on your lips. he holds your gaze, waiting for you to make a move. awkwardly, you lean in, lips almost brushing. you get nervous and try to back away but cheol quickly grabs you by the chin and whispers, “and i’ve got you” before connecting your lips. your hands fall to his chest, obliviously rubbing your hands over his muscles. his touch to your chin stays gentle but firm, holding you in place so he can devour your lips. you’re breathless quick, but you don’t want to pull away. the sound of keys in the front door scare you out of your daze, and you separate from cheol like you’ve been shocked. joshua walks in, unaware (or is he?) of what he just interrupted. pleased with himself, he looks from you to cheol and back to you before asking, “so...how was your night?”
-
you’ve been avoiding cheol. you can’t believe you kissed him, and you can’t believe you liked it. you liked it so much that you’re afraid of what might happen if you’re around him again, because nothing can happen. he’s your brother’s best friend! it’s like reverse bro code to date your brother’s friend. that would be...weird? and yet here you are, daydreaming about it.
cheol knows what you’re doing. he knows you’ve been spooked, and he’s annoyed. now that he’s had a taste of you he only wants more, so you hiding from him when he’s out of his room or only leaving yours when he’s in the shower or asleep is really getting on his nerves. you can’t avoid him forever, but damn it if you’re not gonna try.
you’re currently speedrunning all of your chores, trying to clean the bathroom while your laundry is on and in between you’re washing all of your dirty dishes. you’re doing this because you know cheol will come out of his room soon to go to the gym, so you’re hoping to be tucked away safely in your room before that happens. however, the biggest man in the apartment still manages to move like a mouse, so you turn around to put some plates away and find cheol leaning against the kitchen counter, watching you intently.
“fuck you, stop sneaking up on me!” you shriek. “i’m serious about that bell now. wear loud shoes or something, god.”
“why, so you can hear me coming and hide?” he asks seriously, and you fall silent. you join him on the other side of the room, stretching to put the plates in the cabinet. cheol keeps watching, realizing this is the first time he’s seen you show so much skin. shorts pulled up just barely over your ass, like usual, driving him insane, like usual. but now you’re just wearing a sports bra on top, and cheol doesn’t miss the way you’re giving him the perfect view of your chest. he’s unapologetically staring, and without facing him you mumble telling him to stop. “i can stare if i want.”
“well can you stop, please?” you beg, turning and crossing your arms over your chest, just pressing your cleavage up more.
“baby, work with me here,” he groans. “you can’t kiss me like that the other night and then hide from me. and you can’t look like that and not expect me to stare.”
“stop telling me what i can and can’t do,” you grumble, trying to remember what you were about to do. you start to walk away but cheol grabs you lightly by the wrist, and you ask nicely, “let me go.”
“you can leave,” cheol encourages. “i’m not holding on tight.”
but you stay right where you are, a few steps away from cheol. his hand slides down from your wrist to lace his fingers with yours. he squeezes your hand sweetly before tugging you back in front of him, a stupid smirk gracing his handsome face.
“hi beautiful,” he smiles, making you blush. “so tell me. am i a bad kisser or something?”
“what?” you ask, shocked he would even think that. “n-no, why?”
“well,” he sighs, hands sliding around your waist too quick for you to object, “it’s just that we kissed, and i thought it was pretty sexy, and then you just disappeared on me. which is amazing considering we live together right now.”
“i’m good at teleporting,” you joke, and cheol pinches your hip.
“answer me, y/n,” he tries again. “why are you hiding?”
“because you’re joshua’s friend,” you say with a face. “i can’t date you.”
“who said anything about dating?” cheol smiles. “we’ve got two beds, sweets. take your pick.”
“you can’t be serious.”
“you don’t want to?” cheol asks, seemingly dragging you closer to himself. he slots his leg between yours, leans in close and asks, “so if i check your panties right now, they wouldn’t be wet?”
“cheol, i-”
“hm?” he asks, pulling back enough to look right in your eyes. “you don’t want this, just say the word and i’m gone. but if you do, baby, please let me do this.”
“joshua can’t know,” you whisper fast before you’re grabbing cheol and kissing him again. his hands slide from their spot on your waist to cup your ass, nudging your core over his thigh. you whimper at the slight drag, and cheol tenses his thigh as he brings your hips forward again.
“i don’t even need to put my hand down your pants to know you’re wet,” he says proudly. “you ok with soaking my thigh a little bit first, baby?” you nod, and he tsks. “you need to use your words. not gonna do anything unless i know you want it.”
“let me keep going,” you say breathlessly, and cheol easily obliges. he dives back into your lips, hands gripping your ass to keep you grinding over his thigh. you get lost in the pressure between your legs, but you don’t want to be interrupted like you were last time. you try to break from cheol’s lips but he brings a hand up to keep you in place, doing his best to memorize the shape of your lips with his. you realize you need to get his attention a different way, so you reach down to cup his cock through his shorts. he hisses at the contact, lips pulled from yours. “cheol, stop.”
“what, what’s wrong?” he asks, worried.
“let’s go to my room,” you say with a nod, and his eyes shimmer with lust and a bit of glee. he’s dragging you down the hallway with him, doing his best not to tear your clothes off and leave a trail. once he’s in your room, you push him back lightly so you can be sure to shut the door. cheol takes this time to lay back on your pillows, patting his thigh to invite you back. you join him on the bed, ready to straddle him and go back to grinding down on his stupidly thick thigh, but he stops you.
“shorts off,” he instructs, and you pull them off eagerly. “let me see your panties.” your legs on either side of his, you sit up and lean back, hoping cheol gets what he wants. he hums and nods when he sees the wet patch, grabbing for your waist to pull you back over his leg. “let’s get you warmed up a little more, need you ready to ride me soon.”
cheol brings your core back down to his thigh, guiding your movements as you whine on top of him. you’re not sure what to do with your hands, so you let one of them wander up to push your bra over your chest, playing with your nipple as cheol guides you agonizingly slow. you try to bounce and get more friction but that makes him hold you down tighter and your whines get louder.
“that’s it baby, show me how pretty you are when you come and then i’ll give you my cock,” he growls out, a hand slipping down to push past the waistband of your panties. he swipes a finger down to play with your clit and he moans when he feels how wet you are. “all this for me, pretty girl?”
“yes, for you, just like that,” you moan, “make me come please, need to come.”
“you can come,” cheol coaxes. “just waiting on you.” he applies a little more pressure over your clit, and then you’re shaking above him, a soundless gasp left on your lips. as you try to blink away the spots in your eyes, you hurriedly help cheol get undressed, crawling down to his cock before he can stop you. you pull his boxers down as he takes his shirt off, and you gasp when you see his size. you grab him by the base and take a taste, kitten licking his tip and driving him crazy. he wants to wrap his hands in your hair and guide you over his cock, but an equal part wants to pull you up just so he can feel your pussy clenching around him. he lets you decide the pace though, hissing through his teeth as you keep licking him, until you’re ready to swallow his cock little by little. you get halfway down before you need to pull back, and you’re worried he won’t fit.
“not to feed your ego or anything,” you say after popping off of his cock, “but you’re really big.”
“no that definitely feeds my ego.”
“i don’t think you’re gonna fit,” you say, worried.
“well get in my lap and we’ll find out, sweets,” he says, reaching for you to help you up and over his legs again. he holds his cock still for you as you line him up with your entrance, and you glance at him one last time, still concerned. “take it slow. i know you can do it.”
“but-”
“baby, i’m letting you pick the pace,” he laughs. “if it were up to me i would’ve slammed you down on my cock already.”
“hmm someone’s horny,” you joke, and cheol thrusts up in retaliation. you gasp at the feeling of his tip at your entrance, and you do what he says. you take it slow, holding your breath as you feel him stretch you out with every inch.
“how you feeling baby?”
“good,” you gasp out.
“make sure you breathe,” cheol reminds you, and you nod as you take a few deep breaths. he can feel every movement on his cock, and it’s driving him insane to not be fully inside you right now. he tries to push you down a little further, but you cry out and he stops. he gives you a moment to adjust, and you move on your own when you’re ready. you keep pushing down, taking more and more. “you’re doing so good baby.”
“it’s too big,” you gasp out, looking down to see how much you have left to go.
“no it’s not.”
“but it is,” you whine, trying to pull up completely. that’s the last straw for cheol though, because he grips your hips and slams you down over his cock, your clit even grinding over his pubic bone slightly. you shudder at the feeling, shocked speechless at the feeling of cheol’s cock so deep inside you. he helps you ride him at first, but you take over and start a steady pace. you don’t think you’ve ever felt someone this deep before, and your body feels like it’s on fire.
“you can take it, that’s it,” he encourages, and you pick up the pace. cheol starts meeting you halfway, adjusting so he can hit your core just right. when he thrusts up and you almost fall over on top of him he knows he’s found the right spot, doing his best to keep his pace steady. he pulls you down so you’re caging him in, and he lays your head on his chest as he takes over, thrusting into you so fast you start seeing stars. you’re moaning into his chest, maybe drooling a little too, and it’s driving him insane. you feel so good around him, so warm, so tight, so wet. the sounds of your pussy are embarrassing to you and intoxicating to him, he wishes he had the patience to lay between your legs and lick you clean before fucking you again. but he’ll save that for later. for now, he needs to find a place to come. “where do you want me?”
“stomach,” you mumble into his chest, sitting back up with your hands on his pecs. “gonna come?”
“if you come first, yeah,” cheol nods. he focuses on bringing you closer, grabbing one of your hands off his chest and guiding it to your lips. you open, and he tells you to suck. after you’ve wet your middle and ring finger, cheol brings them down to your clit, leading your movements and applying pressure as he wants. it’s so sexy, letting him lead you like this, and the way he’s staring at you is making your chest tingle, and his cock is still buried deep inside you as you start getting closer. when cheol pulls you down with his free hand, connecting your lips again, you start to come, whimpering into his mouth as the waves crash over you. he works you through it, giving you only a second or two to rest before he’s pumping you again, chasing his own release. he pulls out and immediately starts stroking his cock, coming with a quiet gasp. you shudder as you feel his come land across your stomach, some even hitting your pussy lips. you lean back to let him see his masterpiece, and cheol looks pleased.
“let me get a washcloth,” you mumble, moving to get up. once you’re off of him, cheol springs into action, guiding you to lay back down.
“no, you’ll be sore soon, let me do it,” he says before ducking out of your room. he comes back with a wet washcloth and waters for you both, which you take graciously. he cleans you up carefully, and then he joins you back on the bed. the last thing you remember before falling asleep is cheol pushing your hair back, smiling at you softly.
-
you wake up the next morning to a knock at your door, followed by another louder knock.
“what?” you groan, rolling over to face the door just as joshua pops in.
“morning to you too,” he yawns. “i’m getting breakfast. text me what you want.”
“mhm,” you yawn in reply. “close my door.”
josh leaves without doing what you asked, and there’s a beat of silence before you hear the front door close. you feel hands wrap around your waist, pulling you into a strong, warm, bare chest. cheol pops his chin onto your shoulder, cheesing as he asks, “you think he knew i was here?”

Maybe going to your friend's house with Cheol was a bad idea. Maybe visiting Joshua and his partner to finally meet their baby was an experience you weren’t altogether prepared for. It had been a few months now since their little boy had been born, and you had only seen him through pictures and facetimes, wanting to give the couple a bit of space to settle into the new dynamic.
But now you were sitting on their couch, trying desperately to have a conversation with your friends while being distracted by the little swaddled bundle cradled carefully in your boyfriend's arms. The delicate little thing, pudgy cheeks and drool running from his lips that Seungcheol delicately wiped away, all fragile and peaceful against his chest. You were always aware of how handsome Cheol was, how hard he worked to keep his physique, but it wasn't something that had ever fully sunk into your psyche until you saw the way his biceps looked with something so tiny sleeping on them.
A voice caught your attention, a gentle call of your name, and you looked up, a little shaken from how deep in thought you'd been.
"Do you want to hold him?" Cheol asked, nodding to the sleeping infant in his arms. Your face split into an adoring grin, and you nodded eagerly. The care with which your boyfriend handled him was enough to make your heart skip in your chest as he carefully transferred the baby into your arms. The boy fussed a little, and you shushed him gently, swaying back and forth until he was sound asleep again.
The others continued talking, but all you could think about was having one of your own. Maybe a little girl, one with Cheol's eyes and your nose. A family where the two of you became three, a unit that always took care of each other.
When the two of you got home, Cheol dragged you to the bedroom, pulling you close and cuddling up to you in the comfort of your bed. You curled closer, letting him trace your arm quietly.
"What's on your mind? You've been in your head all day." He asked you. You hummed thoughtfully. You and Seungcheol had talked about it before, having kids, but you had never fully planned anything. You were still so young, and you hadn't fully settled on whether or not you two were ready to take that step.
"I'm thinking about Jaehan." You said, finally turning your attention back to him. "He's cute don't you think?"
"Yeah, he's adorable. Looks like his dad." He said. You nodded, propping yourself up on your elbow.
"Keep thinking about how natural you looked holding him. Didn't really know that it would be so...attractive seeing you hold a baby."
Seungcheol hummed, placing a large hand against your hip to pull you onto his lap. You looked down at him, smiling brightly at the sight of his dark locks in a wavy halo around his head.
"You think I looked hot?" He asked, a playful tone creeping into his voice. You rolled your eyes.
"I said it was attractive. I kept thinking about how maybe one day you'd be holding our kid, I guess. You'd be a good daddy." You said, your hands smoothing aimlessly across his chest, up, along the curve of his shoulders, then down his arms and back up again.
You watched his eyes darken, his hands moving to rub gently over your tummy.
"Could be sooner than later if you want." He said, eyes still trained on your stomach, imagining how pretty you'd look round with his child growing inside of you. Some primal, desperate part of him was awakening at the thought. A part of him tying itself to a part of you and giving you something to share and teach and care for. He was already starting to harden underneath you at the thought.
"Do you mean that?" You asked seriously, your hands stilling against his chest. "Because I don't want you to do something you're not ready for. Don't just want it to be an excuse to fuck me."
He softened for a moment, guiding your face gently towards his to capture your lips in a warm kiss.
"I promise I mean it. Want to have a family with you, wouldn't even think of lying about that. Let me do that, please." He kissed you again, his kiss just as desperate and sincere as his words as he flipped the two of you over so you were laying underneath him. You melted into the kiss, your hands tangling into his hair to hold him close as if he'd disappear if you didn't.
His tongue teased against your lips, coaxing you open for him and drawing the sweetest whine from your throat. He pulled away after a bit, breathless and flushed. He sat back, stripping your shirt off with ease, then letting his follow.
"Gonna take such good care of you. You and our baby," He hummed, leaning down to press a string of wet, warm kisses to your chest, along the swell of your breasts, and down until his lips could wrap around your nipple, sucking gently. Your back arched off the bed, and his hands stroked along the curve of your waist, holding you in place so he could switch to the other side and give it the same gentle treatment.
You weren't a stranger to having Cheol worship every inch of you, but this felt different. It was heavy and warm and nearly suffocating in all the best ways, anchoring you to each other and letting the rest of the world fade into blank space. He slid lower, kissing down your sternum, along your stomach until he reached the space just above your panty line. He looked up at you then, a large palm coming to rest against the spot.
"Gonna grow our little one right here. Gonna fill you up so full, make sure it takes. Do it over and over until we're sure." He mumbled, kissing your lower stomach again before tugging your panties down your legs and leaving you bare beneath him.
You were already aching, thighs wet with your arousal. Seeing him so wound up at the idea of you carrying his child was doing things you had never imagined. He pushed your thighs wider apart, hungry eyes burning into the sight of your dripping core. He brought his hand down, thumb swiping through your wet folds before nestling against your clit, pressing heavy, slow circles against the bundle of nerves.
"Fuck," You keened, thighs twitching, but he pressed his free hand against one of them, continuing his work. "Cheol, please. Need more."
"I got you baby, don't worry. Know just what you need." He promised, speeding up his movements and making your head fall back against the pillows. He slid his fingers down, pressing his middle finger into you and pumping it slowly before he added a second.
He was good with his hands, never having any problem getting you worked up or stretching you out with his fingers alone, and this was no different. You watched the way his brows furrowed, his lips curling into a concentrated pout while he worked his fingers into you, curling them to find your weak spot and continuing to grind his fingertips into it when he felt it.
You were breathless, squirming and gripping at the sheets as he fucked you slowly with his fingers. Your sounds were nearly incoherent, just breathless whines and gasps of his name as he milked your first orgasm out of you. He praised you all the way through it, his hand never stopping as you coated it in your wetness. Once the waves of your orgasm subsided, he pulled his hand away, reaching up to slip his fingers into your mouth and watching as you obediently sucked and licked them clean of your cum.
"That's my good girl. Doing so well for me. Deserve to feel good." He hummed, standing up to kick his pants off. His cock stood at full mast, the tip leaking and flaring pink. He stroked himself slowly, just admiring the way that you were sprawled out for him.
He quickly settled himself between your legs again, and you welcomed him just as eagerly. He pressed the head of his cock against your hole, and you whined when he didn't move.
"Baby, please. Don't tease me," You huffed, and he chuckled leaning down to capture your lips in another long kiss as he rolled his hips forward, filling you up in one steady thrust. Your walls clenched around him, adjusting to the way he stretched you out, and you moaned into his mouth. Your hands found his waist, nails digging into the sensitive flesh and reveling in the way he hissed out.
He stayed buried inside of you for longer than you would have liked, but soon enough his hips were rolling, dragging out before punching back in and stealing your breath away. You never got used to how well he fucked you, how perfectly he fit inside of you and hit spots you could only hope to reach on your own.
"So perfect, taking me so well." He praised, his hands settling on your hips and pulling you to meet his thrusts. The only sounds in the room were the slick sound of your pussy sucking him in, and the soft sounds shared between the two of you.
"Cheol, 'm close." You mumbled, eyes falling shut as you focused on the warmth running through you, the tension pulling tight in your stomach and the way his thrusts got harsher at your words.
"Go ahead, pretty girl. Cum on my dick, lemme feel it." He grunted out harshly, his head rolling back as your walls clenched around him, trying desperately to keep him inside of you. Then you were gone, trembling underneath him as your second orgasm hit, a silent moan parting your lips. He continued fucking you through it. He didn't stop even when you came down from your high, chasing his own pleasure.
"Cheollie, please," You whimpered, wrapping your arms around his neck to pull him closer, dragging your nails over his broad shoulders. "Want you to cum. Need to be full. Please, Daddy."
He moaned, full and from his chest, his thrusts becoming harsher, less calculated, and then he was burying his face in your neck. His breath hitched, a broken moan of your name, and a sloppy kiss against your neck followed as he spilled inside of you.
The moment after was filled with heavy breaths and the sweetest kisses to your shoulders and collarbone. Finally he pulled out, looking down at the way that his cum dripped out of your hole. He huffed a little, reaching down and using his fingers to stuff it back inside of you. You whined, hips jolting a little from the sensitivity.
"Gotta make sure it stays in so it sticks. Gotta get you knocked up." He said, but it almost sounded like he was talking to himself, voice gravelly and barely audible. Then he was tugging at your hips, flipping you over. You let out an indignant squeak at how easily he maneuvered you around, hiking your hips up so your weight was on your arms folded under your head. "Gotta give you another one. Need to make sure."
You didn't have time to think before he was sliding into you again, still achingly hard and desperate to fill you up just a little more, to give you the baby you were both so desperate for, to start a family and have another precious piece of his life to care for. He needed it, the thought of it taking over the most primal, desperate part of his mind.
His thrusts were harsh, and probably would have been pushing you up the bed if it weren't for the bruising grip on your hips, pulling you back into each thrust and making you absolutely see stars.
"Daddy, 's too much," You whined, burying your face in your arm. His hand smoothed over your back, his pace never faltering.
"You can take it, baby. Just gotta get you nice and full. You wanna have my baby, right? Gotta take it," He cooed sweetly, even as you whined and squirmed. The heat searing through you stung, nerve endings on fire, but it only added to the pleasure that was taking over. You could barely form words at this point with Seungcheol hitting so deep inside of you that you were sure you wouldn't be able to walk, and with the gentle way he stroked your back and sides as if he wasn't fucking you dumb.
"I'm gonna-" You whined high in your throat, a broken moan following as you tried to warn him, but he knew your body better than you did, and he could tell just by the way your hips were pressing back insistently that you were gonna cum again.
"Go on, pretty. Cum for daddy. Cream my cock, please baby. Wanna feel it, know you can gimme one more." He urged you on, and you sobbed as the feeling rocked through you. Your thighs were trembling, and your toes were going numb. You didn't try to open your eyes, but you were sure your vision would have blacked out if you had.
His second orgasm followed not long after, filling you up with his seed again. He leaned against you, one arm holding the both of you up, the other wrapped around your waist to keep you pressed as close as possible to him. You were both breathless, bodies exhausted and minds fuzzy with the blend of pleasure and exhaustion. Once you both were back in reality, he pulled out of you carefully, easing you onto your back and curling against your side. His hand traced against your stomach.
"Was I too rough?" He asked quietly. You shook your head, turning to press a chaste kiss to his lips.
“You know I can take it." You promised. He smiled, reaching up to wipe the drying tears from your cheeks
"I know you can. But it's my job to take care of you. And the little one." He said. You laughed lightly.
"Cheol there isn't even a little one yet." You said, your hand landing over his on your tummy and tracing the length of his fingers. He linked your hands together, smiling brightly.
"There will be. If it doesn't take this time I'll just keep breeding you until it does. Wanna make you a mommy. Want our baby to look just like you." His eyes were alight with pure adoration, and you had to admit as you snuggled closer to him that having a couple of mini Seungcheols running around the house sounded like a dream come true.

i love 43, i’m actually so glad you sent this in, i’m in my cheolie feels so bad rn!!! 😵‍💫😵‍💫
29: “can we just communicate as adults, please?”
43: “you’re absolutely not wearing that”
a/n: y/n is an idol in a co ed group so jaesung and hyunjin are her male group members under hyolyn’s company, also i kinda imagined the outfit like this pinterest link
Tumblr media
JEALOUSY, JEALOUSY BABY- S. COUPS
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a warm smiled graced my face while my stylist curled the ends of my hair and made small talk about how she was excited for our debut
the fact i was finally debuting and my boyfriend would be there to see it warmed my heart and it filled my with a sense of pride
the leader of seventeen dropped his schedule to watch my rookie ass debut, and the thought of him watching and cheering for me couldn’t make me any happier than it did now
after a couple more minutes and a couple more curls, my stylist was done and told me to head over to the dressing room where my outfit was and i bowed and thanked her
as i got down from the styling chair, i pulled the edges of my robe tightly closed and began to walk down to the dressing room until i bumped into jaesung
“y/n-ah your hair is absolutely stunning”
i smiled at the older boys compliment and gave him a small bow as i moved my hair from my face
“thank you jae, i’m about to get dressed and see if my boyfriend is here”
jaesung smiled at placed his hand on my shoulder and chuckled as he shook his head
“sunbaenim is here and the rest of his group, they’re really excited for you”
my heart began to pound at the realization that cheol was here and i immediately ran into the dressing room to get dressed only to be met with cheol standing there holding flowers and a small smile on his face
“hi my love, you’re absolutely stunning”
my body felt warm at the compliment and i tip toed up to place a kiss against his lips that felt absolutely perfect against mine
“you’re absolutely stunning cheol, and so are these flowers, you’re the best”
i moved the flowers to my side so i could hug him and make sure that the flowers didn’t get crushed while doing so
“so which of these two are yours my love”
“this one right here”
i pointed to the all black outfit and cheols face immediately dropped
“you’re absolutely not wearing that”
i frowned at the tone of his voice and saw that he wasn’t joking m
“i’m sorry cheol but it’s absolutely not up to you about what i wear, it’s the stylists”
cheol’s frown deepened and it caused me to form one as well
“cheol what’s wrong”
cheol ignored my question and sat down on the couch and pulled out his phone causing me to sigh at his stubbornness
“can we just communicate as adults, please?”
i tried my best to sound upset, but my dictation was clear that i was concerned and i watched as cheol took a deep sigh
“i’m sorry, i just don’t like how you’re gonna wear that on stage with jaesung and hyunjin, i’m your bf, not either one of them and yet they get shipped with you”
“oh love”
i pouted as i went over to him and pulled him into my embrace
“i love you and only you, i can ask hyolyn-nim to have a stage where it’s me and you to dally if you want? i know for a fact twitter will be set on fire if we do”
cheol relaxed in my embrace and i smiled while rubbing my hands through his hair
“i’m sorry baby i understand that it comes with the job, go get dressed, i’ll be in the crow for you my love”
i smiled as i kissed my boyfriend knowing that he didn’t have to feel jealous about anything
oh how much i loved him

You have to laugh as Seungcheol loudly announces to Jeonghan that his head is hurting
You two have been going through this cycle since you were first hired a few months ago
At the beginning, Coups had an excuse to talk to you all the time
Since you were new to the team, he took point on explaining important info to you
What allergies the boys had
Previous injuries you needed to be aware of
Where they generally kept their first-aid supplies
But once you had it all down, there was no reason for him to talk to you on a daily basis
But by this point, Cheol had realized that he very much liked speaking to you
He felt that you two had connected well and wanted to get to know you more
But since you were on the med team, you were often quite busy seeing as there were thirteen members that were in constant need of check-ups, aid with different levels of injuries, and general everyday care to combat the strain they put on their bodies
You hardly ever had time to just speak to him
The only time you really could
Was when you were treating him
So Seungcheol had started to come up with any excuse under the sun to come and talk to you
First he was constantly complaining that he must have sprained his wrist, or twisted his ankle or pulled a muscle
Then he was constantly getting stomache aches
After that he was getting rashes or little scratches
Now he was in a phase of faking headaches to come and talk to you about it
You knew all of his injuries were fake from the very beginning
He stopped cradling his first “sprained wrist” to tell Seungkwan off for being too loud
He ate full meals that the other boys ordered even when he had his “stomach aches”
You had started carrying around makeup wipes to clean off his supposed “scratches and rashes”
Someone complaining of a headache was a little harder to disprove though
But you were sure you’d catch him somehow
You had begun to enjoy playing this little game with him
As well as the time you got to spend with him because of it
“Well you don’t have a fever,” you tucked your thermometer back into your medical bag
Seungcheol sat in front of you with a pout on his face
“Are there any other symptoms?” you ask
Seungcheol dutifully shakes his head
“Well do you want a pain reliever? Or maybe I should tell them to send you home and rest?” you feel his forehead once more for good measure
“Oh...” he hesitates, “I don’t think it’s serious enough for either of those...”
You smile to yourself
It was quite cute to watch him fumble with trying to feign sickness without  exposing himself
“Well should we schedule an appointment with a neurologist to make sure this isn’t a problem?” you push him further
“No, you take care of me well enough” Seungcheol beams
“Well we have to find a solution eventually,” you sigh. “How’s your water intake? Or did you add anything new to your diet? Increase your screentime?”
“No, they just started out of nowhere,” Seungcheol shrugs innocently
“Well I suppose I can let you go for today but, if it happens again, I’m sending you to the doctor”
“[Y/N]!” one of the managers calls for you. “We need your help prepping supplies for the next concert.”
You give Cheol a bit of a smug look, knowing you’ve backed him into a corner with his latest fake sickness and then
You rush off to help
Seungcheol sighs as he watches you leave
He just lost another excuse to spend time with you
Later that evening Joshua watches with pure amusement as Seungcheol paces back and forth in the dorm
“Should I say I think I have a sinus infection? Or maybe I could claim of frequent muscle spasms... I feel like constipation has to be my last move.”
“I feel like constipation is a never move,” Joshua interrupted. “Just tell [Y/N] that you like them.”
“I can’t do that, what if they don’t even like me?” Seungcheol complains
“Well then you have an answer and you can stop wasting both of your time,” Josh shrugs
“Wasting time,” Seungcheol repeats. “What if they really don’t like me and I’ve just been annoying [Y/N] this whole time?”
He hates the feeling settling in the pit of his stomach
He begins to remember all the times you would shut him down as quick as possible
Or when you would rush off to help someone else as soon as you were done exposing a fake injury of his
How you would sigh and roll your eyes before walking away
Apparently he failed to notice the playful look on your face as you did so
“What? I don’t think [Y/N] would put up with it if you were truly wasting their time,” Joshua protests
“No, I really should stop. It’s [Y/N]’s job and I should leave them alone to do it. Let’s just start getting ready for the concert tomorrow”
Seungcheol’s mood is noticably down for rehearsals the next day
The other boys are off because of it and they’re trying all they can to cheer him up
You notice as well and begin to wonder if Seungcheol is genuinely sick for once
And then you feel really worried because he usually would use any excuse to come speak to you but he’s not even trying to mention what’s obviously bothering him
“Are you feeling alright?” you corner him, once again pressing a hand to his forehead
“I am, just worried about this performance,” Cheol reaches up to grab your hand, his thumb pressing into your palm as he pulls it away from his head
Then he just walks off
You feel really uneasy about the concert
Everyone else does too
Seungcheol may not be exhibiting any symptoms of sickness but it’s obvious he’s distracted and not ready to perform
Anxieties rise throughout the day but quickly stave off as the concert begins
As usual, Seventeen pulls through and the concert goes well
Even with Cheol somewhat distracted
But the good feelings end as quickly as they begin
When Cheol falls during a song
At first it looks like just a simple stumble
But as your watching the big screen, you see the horrified expression form on Seungkwan’s face as he looks down at his leader
You rush to the side of the stage as the other members help him off
They set him down on a chair in front of you and run back off to do crowd control
You quickly see why Seungkwan had seemed so disturbed
When Cheol had tripped, he had fallen against one of the stage props and scraped up his shin
The wound didn’t seem deep but it was large and producing plenty of blood
Coups feels terrible
Not even 24 hours after he decided to leave you alone
And here is a situation where you have to be with him
He can’t even think of his injury
He can only think of how he’s going to apologize and get out of your hair
He’s tested ten different apologies in his head before he actually looks at you
Your hands are gentle as you clean the blood and sanitize the wound
Cheol notices how you hesitate everytime you rub the disinfectant over his leg, seeing if it’ll cause him pain or not
There is a time where it does sting and he sucks in his breath
You look up at him and Cheol’s heart clenches
You look so worried
Your eyebrows are furrowed and there’s sweat on your forehead
“Does it hurt a lot? I promise I’m almost done” you say
Your voice is so genuine and kind
Cheol has to stop himself from grinning at how sweet and caring you’re being
“I’m ok, do what you need to do”
You wrap the bandages carefully once the wound is clean, even going back over where you feel you didn’t do a good enough job
“Does that feel ok?” you stand and put a hand on his shoulder, indicating with your other hand that he should move his leg and test the wrappings
He nods, “Thank you”
Then he gets up and heads towards the stage
“Woah,” you stop him with a hand on his chest, “where are you going?”
He grabs your hand the same way, a thumb pressed to your palm, but he doesn’t move it away from him this time
“Back out,” he gives you the smile he uses when he wants something
“You can’t go back out there,” you insist, hoping he can’t feel how warm you’re getting while he holds your hand
“It would be best for the fans to see that I’m ok,” Cheol says more seriously this time
You think it over
“...You’ll have to sit in a chair for the rest of the performance,” you insist
“I’ll accept that with my own condition,” Cheol is beaming at you again
“And what would that be?” you laugh
“I take you to dinner after”
Before you can respond, he pulls you towards him, kisses your cheek, and runs off onto the stage with a chair
And your hand flies to your own forehead to check your tempertature

Silence
Tumblr media
𖤐 pairing: Seungcheol x Jeonghan x Reader (M/M/F) 𖤐 genre: a fuck of angst, smut towards the end, then fluff. 𖤐 warnings: bruises, Jeonghan being possessive with Cheol, dont have intercourse if youve had any alcohol at all, alcohol towards the end 𖤐 wc: 8.2k 𖤐trope/au: f2l, non-idol 𖤐 summary: It was only supposed to be an outing with the boys, nothing more. But what happens when you wake up in the bed of the one couple in the group, AND you can remember everything. this is also mostly for Ki bcuz its Jeongcheol <3 𖤐 notes: this was supposed to be small i promise...ITS FINALLY DONE 𖤐 tag list: @cultofdionysusnet / @stravvberrymilksan / @kwanisms
Silence.
It wasnt supposed to end like this. With you waking up in Jeonghan and Seungcheol's beds not in your clothes from the night before. It was supposed to end with you under their covers between them while they slept. It was only supposed to be a small outing with the group. You were only going for a few drinks, let the stress from every day jobs go away for the long weekend it....not end up in the bed of the only couple in the group.
Silence
The silence made you nervous, anxiety spiking. The sound sound that could hear was silence. Your mind had stopped and restarted. There was no fan or anything, you could barely register the deep breaths of the two boys beside you sleeping. You knew Seungcheol was a deep sleeper. But Jeonghan was a wild card. He never slept in a certain way, not deep nor light. Oh my god what if Joshua was looking for you?
The silence is so loud.
You (somehow) managed to slide out of bed without waking either, grabbing the dress you wore last night and putting it on after stripping off the shirt. You looked around for you phone, a pang in your chest when you watched Jeonghan roll into Seungcheols arms. You grabbed your phone off the table. You looked at your wrists. Bruised.
Silence
You opened the door, cringing at the slight creak before you slipped out, noticing the two didnt wake. Now to get out of their apartment. God this was a mistake. Youre never going to be able to face them again, you wont be able to face the rest of the boys knowing that you fucked the oldest two. You ruffled your hair aggressively. You fucked up big.
You wanted to scream, yell and run out into the streets. Sleeping out of apartment after slipping on your heels, giving it one last look. Looking at the clock you sighed when you noticed it was 5am. Good, it was early enough that you didnt need to worry about the walk of shame. You made the quick walk back to your apartment, opening the door to Joshua sitting on your couch. He looked you up and down before he sighed. "They marked you up good."
That was all it took before you choked out a sob. You knew Jeonghan hated sharing, the bruises on your wrists from when he refused to let you touch Seungcheol still hurt. Every time you moved your wrist there was a dull pain that shot through your arms. The hickeys werent pretty. They werent there from possessiveness. No, Jeonghan bit you out of jealousy. Sure the other was tipsy, he was never that angry with you. The tone of his voice scared you. Why did he entertain you then? Why did he bring you pain instead of kicking you out?
You fell into Joshuas arms. "He bit me Shua." You hiccupped, hugging him as tight as you could, ignoring the pain. "Not like a dog. He was jealous." You pulled back from the other and smiled slightly. Joshua has seen you naked so it didnt bother you when you let your dress fall. The bruises on your hips were from Seungcheol, given from lust, some of the hickeys were from the eldest as well. "Jeonghan...im never going to be able to look at him again."
You phone buzzed and Joshua took it out of your hand as you put the dress back on. "Go change into one of my shirts." You rubbed your eyes and sniffled. "Ok." He looked at you again. "Take a shower too." You smiled slightly, a huff leaving you of weak laughter. You nodded and headed to the bathroom.
Joshua took your phone and unlocked it. The passcode was his birthday and his was yours. The best of friends you were. Looking at the notif as he watched more came in. All from the two you were just with. Seungcheol was confused as to where you went, he had looked everywhere and couldnt find you. Multiple texts from Seungcheol, texts from Jeonghan were after. First they sounded like forced apologies then they seemed genuine then they seemed urgent, snaps and texts kept coming in, each more rushed and panicked then the last. Then the calls started.
He sighed, letting each one go to voicemail. Turning your phone off he forced a smile once you came back from the shower. "Go sleep now. Im going to keep your phone for now." You nodded as you turned back around. "Can i sleep next to you?" He nodded before you both walked to his room, him following once he locked the door.
How was he to tell you everything that was going on? They wouldnt probably start with him next considering you lived together. You and Joshua may have been best friends since diapers despite being a year apart but he knew you well enough to think you probably panicked. Once you laid down he got a full view of all the marks on your body. "Im going to grab some bruise cream ok? Ill be back." You nodded, sitting up and waiting.
He wasnt gone long, grabbing the cream from his bathroom as he came back. "Where did they all mark?" You held out your wrists, tilted your neck and then motioned under your shirt. "Seungcheol's werent out of anger." You murmured and he smiled. "I know. I hate to say it, but you should probably let him explain." You shook your head. "Not yet." You whispered and he nodded, understanding.
Once finished covering your bruises you both laid down, you scooting into his arms. He smiled softly as he hugged you close, stroking your hair until you drifted off. Hopefully the two had stopped. Reaching for the phone he placed on the table he turned it back on, all the old notifs coming in. He thanked you and himself that it was on vibrate. He sighed, looking at all the texts and snaps that the two had sent you. The voice mails also seemed to get from confused to worried then to concern and panic. That last text was 5 minutes before he had turned the phone back on.
'We are coming over.'
"Like hell you are." He mumbles, happy that he did all the locks. The only had the main key to get in. To break in you would need a Halligan tool, be strong enough to kick it down or be able to pick locks. Which he knew the others had none of the above. He placed your phone down just as the knocks on the door started. He rolled his eyes, when you stirred he started humming, hoping it would help enough.
It didnt.
You woke with a start once the knocks got louder and more aggressive. "Its just Seungcheol and Jeonghan." You tensed and he shook his head. "All the locks are done, they cant get in." He had installed the locks after there was a break in while you were home alone. He strokes your hair again before sighing. "Ill tell them to go away and youll text them when youre ready." He soothes and you hesitate to release him, not wanting to let go of the one thing keeping you somewhat tethered to reality and not up in the sky with anxiety.
You let him go, biting your lip as he disappears into the living room. He unlocks the door and blocks the door before either of them can try and shove themselves in. He raises a brow, crossing his arms. "Can i help you?" Joshua doesnt get angry easily, so when he does theres a fear thats in everyones body. He only get angry when it comes to your safety and health. He tolerates a lot but this is the angriest Jeonghan has ever seen him.
"Can we talk to Y/n?" Joshua chuckled at the question, the image of your bruises coming to his mind. "No you cannot." He smiled brightly, though the disbelief was in his eyes. "The bruises on her that i put cream on from you? I know your possessive but. Jesus fucking christ Han." Joshua rolled his eyes as Jeonghan's eyes widened before he shifted his eyes to Seungcheol. "She mentioned that yours were ok."
His eyes went back to Jeonghan. "Should put a fucking muzzle on you like a dog. You bite..." He paused. "..and not in a good way." By now you have made your way to the hallway, peeking around the corner to see whats going on. Joshua huffed as there was no answer. "I ask nicely. Please leave. She will talk to you when she wants to." Seungcheols eyes flick over his shoulders, locking eyes with you and they comically grow wider. His mouth opens to speak but you go back to hiding. His mouth shuts, a slight pout on his lips. Hes going to take it that means you dont want him to call out to you.
He furrowed his brows before his eyes went back to Joshua. He wants to ask why he cant talk to you when the Jeonghan is the problem. But he purses his lips., he sort of understands though, Jeonghan is possessive- wait...
"Wait..." Seungcheol speaks up for the first time. "What do you bruises. I only left some on her hips?" Joshua turns his gaze to the oldest of the three. "Our dear Hannie here-" He says the nickname almost mockingly. "-left aggressive bruises on her wrists and other places." He states. "But if you dont mind, its currently six-thirty am and id like to sleep so if you wouldnt mind leaving...thatd be great. Thanks, bye." Joshua takes the moment they are both dumbfounded to slam the door and lock it. All of the locks.
He walks back and hugs you tightly. "Dont show Hao. He is worse then me when angry." He smiles teasingly. At the mention of your brother you shake your head rapidly. "I wont. You cant either." He nods, waddling you both back to his room to sleep again, not bothering to listen for their footsteps leaving.
Youve both been mistaken for dating, multiple times. You tried once, but it felt too weird. But the pack you both had made remains. You waddle back with him, walking backwards while he led. "Still sleepy?" You nodded, resting your head on his chest. "How are you always so warm?" He chuckles, kissing the top of your head before turning a bit so you both land on your sides when you make it to the bed. The sheets werent made from when you snuck out but he manages to get them up and over you both. "Sleep well Y/n." He whispers.
---
Its only a day or two later that you decided to message them back. You read all the texts, watched the snaps and listened to all the voicemails. You arent sure youll ever forgive Jeonghan. It hurt, and everyone was buzzed but that still didnt excuse what he did. You remember everything and from what Seungcheol admitted, he didnt know of the bruises Jeonghan left.
Joshua had told you that you couldnt go to the doctor because they would get suspicious. Bruises that dark and everyone would set off the doctors who would tell the authorities. That was not an option. You sighed, resting your arms crossed on the table and let your head fall on them. Your sleeves covered the slowly fading bruises and managed to cover up the hickeys on your neck with make up, luckily you brother hadnt noticed. You had to convince Joshua to let you go alone, but he told you hed be down the street should something happen. You had smiled and nodded.
You tense, colour draining from your face as you heard the seats in front of you move. You didnt want to look up, you could tell who it was when they cleared their throat. You clenched your face. "Y/n? Can you look at u-me?" Seungcheol caught himself. He knew you probably didnt want to see the blonde right now, he was right.
Shaking your head you kept your forehead against the table, jerking your hands back when you felt your sleeves being moved. You heard a sharp inhale, most likely Seungcheol's. He passed out right after he had cum. Jeonghan had smacked away your hands when you reached over to remove the condom. The hushed whispering wasnt hushed, Seungcheol was never good at it.
"Jeonghan what the fuck." He hissed you you peeked up from your cover of your arms. "I dont know how to answer." He whispered back. Jeonghan was better at whispering, but you felt like he was being louder for your sake. "Theres really nothing i can say and it not sound like an excuse." He mumbled and you lifted your head and sat up straight, putting your hands in your lap as you looked out the window.
You bit your lip, trying to gather the courage. Jeonghan spoke before you could. "Y/n. Im really sorry. Its not that i didnt want you touching Cheol, yes you squirming under him was cute, but...I dont know how to explain it. "I know im possessive and i went too far." He took a deep breath. "I just didnt know if i wanted you to touch me first or him." You frowned at the words. "So you let bruises on me and bit me because...you didnt want me touching him before you? Jeonghan that is the biggest fucking excuse ive ever heard. Youre not a fucking dog Jeonghan. You dont just bite people you dont like. Why did you even entertain the thought of us sleeping together if you were going to act like that?" He looked down, not meeting your eyes.
"Because i want you! Ive wanted you for years! I wanted you since Shua introduced us." He confessed. Even Seungcheol seemed surprised at the confession. It was silent for a while. Again.
The silence was so loud.
You choked out a forced laugh. "Dont lie." You locked with him. "Im not. I know Cheol feels the same way...We dont really...sleep with other people. Example being..." He motioned to you and your hands fell onto your wrists. "I hate you." You spoke and Jeonghan felt his heart crack. "At least I want to hate you." You continued, Jeonghan's head shooting up. "Dont look so hopeful Han." You confessed, watching his shoulders slump.
"Im gonna give you a chance. But i...i dont think i can bare you touching me..." You murmur, biting your lip. "You hurt me Han..." You whispered. "I've never seen you like that, and you scared me. I have never been scared of you, but that...that was someone else i felt i didnt know. You were some stranger that looked like my Hannie." You whispered before you gaze went to Seungcheol.
"Hi Cheol..." He smiled, nodding at you as he scanned you. "Can i see...can i see your wrists?" He whispered and you wanted to say no, you wanted to so badly. Seungcheol was your weak spot. His wide eyes and pretty lips. Your heart skipped a beat whenever he smiled and you saw his dimples. You hesitated, raising one hand for Seungcheol.
He held out his hand, waiting till you put you hand in his. "Can i say something funny?" You nodded. His jokes or things he thought we funny either ruined the mood or made you cry from laughing. "I felt like ii shouldve said 'paw' just now." You cracked a smile, a soft giggle leaving you as Seungcheol held your hand carefully. When you looked up at him after staring at your hand in his, his dimples made you smiled wider. You loved his dimples so much.
He moved the sleeve to see your wrist and he was quiet for a moment before he leaned forward, pulling your hand a bit closer as he kissed the bruise. "Im so sorry for that Y/n." He whispered. His heart had dropped when he saw the bruise. You pulled your hand back, eyes flickering to Jeonghan whos mouth had open in shock. "..i really did that?"
He wanted to reach out and copy his boyfriend. Reach out and hold you hand so gently and place a kiss on the skin like Seungcheol did. But he wasnt going to touch you. Not only did you not want him to touch you, but he was scared to touch you again. He thinks it will take a while for both of you to be ok touch each other.
You nodded, glancing at him. He hated to look in your eyes. It wasnt fear, it was something like caution and hesitance. You looked away from him quickly, looking back at Seungcheol who still had his lips on your wrist. Removing them he sighed. "Im sorry i didnt notice." He whispered. You should your head. "It isnt your fault Cheol." You whispered before you took your hand back. "It was all our faults. We shouldnt have had sex at all." You said bluntly.
"We all had some alcohol. I guess i should be happy im not pregnant." You let out a small laugh. "I think id rather had these..." You motioned to your wrists. "...then be pregnant. Sorry Cheol, i know you have a breeding kink." You watched his jaw drop and you laughed, a smile appearing on Jeonghan's lips. Both had forgotten how much of a menace you were. An ugly snort left Jeonghan as he thought about it again.
You brought your hands back to your lap. "Thank you for agreeing to meet me." You murmured and Jeonghan smiled slightly. "Thank you for letting me explain." You nodded, smiling a bit. "I'll text you guys later?" They nodded and watched as you got up, texting someone before throwing them a smile. "Do you need a ride?" You shook your head. "Shua is just down the road." They nodded and got up to leave as well, walking you out and waiting til Joshua got there and you got in. Both boys got a slightly dirty look from him.
They guess they will have to kiss Joshua's ass to get his forgiveness.
--- Three months after
You and Jeonghan were working on skinship slowly. You were no long flinching when he reached for you. It was a small twitch now. Jeonghan didnt look so shattered when you moved away from him. Seungcheol was the only one you didnt move away from. Jeonghan had become less possessive, he didnt blow a fuse every time someone touched Seungcheol. He was happy to give you space, happy to watch you hug Seungcheol, it made Seungcheol happy so it made Jeonghan happy.
A few days later is when you finally approached Jeonghan, arms tight by your sides as you cleared your throats. “Hannie?” You whispered, watching as he spun around to face you, surprise evident on his face. “Can i hug you?” A smile spreads on his face as he nods, opening his arms, smiling when you came in for a hug. “Hi angel.” He whispered against your neck, a soft smile on his lips, hands stroking your hair and back.
“Thank you.” He heard you mumble into his chest and he tightened the hug. “No thank you." He pulled back a bit, pressing his lips against the side of your head. "We should go on a date." He murmured against your hair and you were quiet for a moment and it made Jeonghan almost retract his words. "A date?" He barely heard you mumble and he nodded, smiling down at you.
The bruises have faded by now but recently since you started letting Jeonghan give you skinship he would leave kisses on both wrists. He never mentioned it but you knew he was apologizing in his own way. You had smiled whenever he had placed kisses on your wrists. A constant silent 'im so sorry' in his own words. He didnt know how to apologize for it in words so he went into actions. Whenever you held his hand he would stroke the skin, almost unconsciously now.
"Yeah, go get ready peach." He smiled as he pulled away, patting your butt as you disappeared into the bedroom to change only to peek back out. "Fancy or casual?" Jeonghan glanced over his shoulder. "Casual." He smiled at you as you disappeared back into the room to change, returning to finishing the dishes. You stole one of Seungcheol's hoodies. They were always big on you, the hem reaching mid thigh and the sleeves covering your hands. You decided on jeans under it followed by the shoes Joshua bought you.
Peeking back our you watched as the blonde put away the dishes. You walked up to the island behind him and leaned against it, watching him. Jeonghan was pretty, very pretty. You sighed quietly, not wanting to alert him to your presence yet. You wanted to admire him for a second, he got better on not being possessive, even if Joshua hadnt forgiven him still. He smiled lightly as he put the last dish away, turning around and gasping once he saw you. "Hi peach, you surprised me." He walked around the table and poked your cheek lightly.
You slipped into his arms. Seungcheol was out that day so you had some much needed alone time with the blonde. You couldnt run away and hide next to Seungcheol like you use to. You smiled softly at him, chin resting on his sternum. Skinship has been easier with him the last few days, it always use to be. He smiled widely, at the touch. "You look ready to go. Give me a second to get ready then we can go."
There was a small piece of you that didnt want to let go of him. He was always warm, almost like a human heater. He chuckled, wrapping his arms around your waist and shifting his boy to pick you up, hands moving down to the back of your thighs. "If you dont let me go baby i cant change." You shook your head, legs wrapping around his waist and hiding your face in his neck. You missed being this close to him.
You heard his chuckle against your hair as he walked towards the couch, sitting down and sighed, leaning back. Jeonghan might not be the strongest but it seems like hes been working out. His hands came up to rub your back. "I thought you wanted to go on a date?" You nodded. "I do...i just missed hugging you like this." You heard the shaky breath he let out as he held you closer. "I missed you so much..." He confessed, biting his lip. "But i gotta change if you want to go on that date."
You pouted before you released him, cheeks pink as you moved to sit next to him. "Can you change quickly?" He chuckled, nodding as he got up, walking quickly towards their shared room to change. It was still hard to go in their room, flashbacks of that night always flashing at the forefront of you mind. He came back quickly and he reached his hand out. "Ready?" He whispered. You grabbed his hand before you even stood up, lacing your fingers together.
It was almost easy to go back to the usual touches you guys use to have today. You hope its not a one day thing.
Jeonghan takes you to a cafe around the corner after locking the door, hands never separating. His thumb is stroking the back of your hand, seems like its unconsciously. Once your both sitting down hes already ordered both of your favorites. His head is resting on his hand, eyes watching you fondly as you stare at the table, unable to meet his eyes.
"Youre adorable." He stated, smiling at you once you glanced up at him, cheeks still red. "Huh?" You were dumbfounded, confused. "I said, youre adorable." He grinned, one corner of his lips higher then the other.
He was smirking.
It made your jaw drop. "Uh...thank you?" He nodded, grinning softly. It was an actual smile, softer then usual. You bit your lip, returning the smile. "You...youre pretty." He grinned wider. "Thank you sunshine." You smiled a bit. His nicknames were so cute, you had to admit that.
----
The date ended nicely, him teasing as usual. Once you had gotten inside, Seungcheol was sitting on the couch. You had yet to go on a date with both of them. "Where have you guys been? You grinned, skipping over to him, releasing Jeonghan's hand. "We went on a date!" His eyes towards Jeonghan before he smiled, standing up, tugging you into his arms, kissing your forehead. "Did you have fun?" You nodded and he hugged you tightly. "Thats good."
Jeonghan slipped behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist, landing on Seungcheols hips. He grinned against your neck, pressing a few kisses on the skin. "Im kind of tired now though." You mumbled, stroking the blondes hair. "How about we make a pillow fort, get some snacks and watch a movie?" Seungcheol spoke quietly, stroking the skin of your hip where your shirt had risen.
"That sounds fun!" You turned back around. "Make it pretty Cheol!" You teased, hugging Jeonghan tightly, eyes sparkling. "Hey thats rude!" You heard Seungcheol whine. Jeonghan loved teasing anyone, Seungcheol happened to be one of his favorite targets. Seungcheol snaked his arms around your waist before tugging you backwards into his chest before he dug his fingers into your side, a loud shriek leaving your lips followed by giggles as Seungcheol started the assault of tickles.
It was almost hard to keep you from wiggling out of his arms and reaching out for the blonde. "Hannie help!" He grinned, taking a step forward. The mischief in his eyes automatically made you regret asking for help. "I gotta help." He cooed and you made you wiggles more aggressively, trying to get away before Jeonghan could get his fingers on you. "Wait please, please i give! Merci meri!" You felt Seungcheol stop but Jeonghan didnt stop moving, causing you to drop from your spot against Seungcheol's spot in order to escape the heathen trying to get a hold of you.
You made a run for it. Running down the hall and hearing Jeonghan's footsteps right behind you, a yelp leaving your mouth when you glanced back. He was closer then you thought. Skidding around the corner you stumbled up the stairs and aiming for the bathroom at the hall. Only you barely made it up the stairs for a weight slammed into your back, arms snaking around your waist. "Gotcha!"
"Wait wait! Hannie please!" You yelped, fighting against the grip the other had on you. It wasnt a tight grip that you couldnt get out of if you actually tried but one that felt more like a playful threat. He didnt tickle you, now the only ticklish thing he had was the whisper of kisses against your neck. That was almost worse then the actual tickles.
Spinning you around he smiled bright at you, dropping a kiss on the side of your head. "Ok i wont. But lets go help Cheol set up." He released you from his arms except for your hand, lacing your fingers together as he walked with you down the stairs. He released your hand to start helping Seungcheol with the fort while you grabbed snacks and pillows, dropping them off by the couch. Seungcheol seemed to have gotten the extra blankets from the closet.
By the time you got back from gathering the snacks they had taking all the chairs and moved the table from the middle of the floor. Giving you three the whole living room space to work with. Placing the snacks on the moved table you came closer. "Any way i can help?" Jeonghan shook his head. "Nothin' right now peach." You hummed in response. "Actually, can you grab the laptop and charger please little one?" Seungcheol spoke as he stood straight up, a dimpled smile on his lips as you made eye contact.
"Theres also some alcohol in the fridge. I know you dont like beer so theres some cider. I also found some like, alcoholic monsters? Theres no caffine but when i tried one it was really good. You can grab some of those if you want." You nodded, disappearing into the kitchen to grab the desired alcohol. Placing some of the alcohol on the counter you grabbed the beer you knew Seungcheol and Jeonghan like.
Returning to drop off the alcohol you smile. The fort looked almost done. Running back up the stairs you grabbed the laptop you both normally used. Usually pillow forts happened when Jeonghan was out and ended with you in Seungcheols lap a complete mess. You bit your lip. You were a bit nervous, if it ended like it usually did, you were scared Jeonghan might get possessive again. But when he had seen you and Seungcheol together he had slowly stopped acting like a prick.
Coming back down you placed both items on the table next to the alcohol and snacks. You werent going to drink too much, you would make sure the others didnt drink too much, especially if the night would end with you one someones cock and the movie playing in the background, forgotten. Last time, Jeonghan seemed like the drunkest out of the three of you, Seungcheol not far behind. Why didnt you stop it?
You shook the thought away. Now wasnt the time to fall back into that moment. It wasnt time to take steps back after coming so far forward. You turned, watching as the two came out of the tent. You narrowed your eyes, suspicious with the way both boys lips seemed a bit more swollen then when you last saw them. "Did you guys kiss in there while i was busy running around and grabbing everything?" You pouted. "Aw, c'mere little one, ill give you a kiss." Jeonghan teased and you huffed, moving over to Seungcheol. "I dont want your wet kisses." You saw him gasp, a hand over his heart like he was offended. "I dont give wet kisses!" You rose a brow, glancing at Seungcheol's lips.
"Oh really?" You pointed at the others lips. "Then why are his so unnecessarily wet?" He rolled his eyes before coming closer and pressing a soft kiss to your lips. "See, not wet. Cheol is the wet kisser." You frowned. "No he isnt?" You cross your arms before Seungcheol wraps his arms around your waist. "Jeonghan uses tongue a lot." He whispered into your ear. "I like to use teeth." His words are breathed onto your ear. "But you know that." He whispers, nipping at your neck. "He doesnt use teeth with me, he uses his tongue. I however." Jeonghan continues. "I will use my teeth with you. I like to bite."
Jeonghan turns back around to finish the fort, leaving you with a dumbfounded face and Seungcheol snickering as he finishes tossing the snacks then blankets and pillows you guys were going to use. Then adding the alcohol, grinning once he came back out. "Ive been told before about how this turns out." He states, tugging you inside with him and placing you beside him. As Seungcheol crawls in he flops down on the opposite side of you, pressing his side against yours, his arm resting over your back, hand resting on Jeonghan's waist as he pulls up netflix.
"What should be watch?" You hum at the question. "Disney? Marvel?" Jeonghan nods. "Disney. We should watch Cinderella." He grins over at the both of you, your nod is agreement, Seungcheols seems more like exhaustion. "We watch this movie everytime." You wave him off. "But you dont watch it with me." You turn to look at him, a pout on your lips, Jeonghan making the same face behind you.
Seungcheol sighs but agrees as Jeonghan finds the movie and presses play. He reaches for a remote you furrow your brows. When he flicks it on you gasp. You didnt notice him grabbing fairy lights. You feel warm inside...and outside. With the way the boys were pressed against your sides. "Pretty right?" You nod, eyes falling on the blonde side, watching his side profile.
-----
You guys managed to finish Cinderella with only a few hitches, hitches meaning a hand often sliding too long on your back or up to your neck. The next movie you didnt make it far. You barely noticed it was some hallmark Halloween movie as Seungcheol's lips on yours distracted you, pulling you towards his chest and man handling you on top of him. "Aww i thought we were going to actually watch this movie."
Jeonghan doesnt even know the movie thats playing, or how it got played. Pulling away from Seungcheol you press a kiss on each dimple before sitting up on his lap, looking at Jeonghan. None of you had actually had any alcohol. 'You dont drink while watching disney movies.' You couldnt agree more.
"Are you complaining because you want a kiss?" His pout turns into a smirk as he shifts, shuffling closer to drop a kiss on Seungcheol's lips then yours, dragging you over onto his lap and under him. "Are you ok with this?" He whispers, eyes searching yours for any hesitation or panic. You take a second, searching his own face. Jeonghan looks worried, needy but wanting to pull the truth from you.
"Just go slow." You whisper, nodding. "Word is bumble." You raise a brow. "Bumble?" Jeonghan nods, hands by your head. "Dont question it. We can do the traffic light system if you want that more." You nod, scanning his face, barely noticing Seungcheol coming closer. "Im ok with this. Just dont touch my wrists or neck." You whisper, hands reaching for the others face, pulling him into a soft kiss. Your cheeks stroked the skin of his cheeks. Soft.
You pull away, letting him kiss your jaw before he sat up, thighs on either side of you pulling your hand to his lips as he pressing kisses up your arm, watching as Seungcheol takes his place to kiss you. You sigh softly into Seungcheols lips. A tap against your hip makes you pull back. "Can i take these off?" You can barely see Jeonghan from behind Seungcheol. "Yeah." You whisper. You can feel when Jeonghan moves, your pants and panties going with. When Seungcheol pulls back your eyes fall on his lap.
Bless boys in sweatpants. Bless whoever made sweatpants a thing.
You reach out for his thigh, gripping it tightly. "Use your words little one." You pout up at Seungcheol, huffing at the cocky grin on his lips. You dig your nails into his thigh, watching as he tenses the muscle, a soft groan leaving your lips at the feel, another leaving at the feeling of Jeonghans hands on your thighs, stroking the soft skin before hes pulling you up and towards Seungcheol. "I want to see how wet you can get his thigh. Ride it."
You blinked a few times but Seungcheol still had a grin on his lips, sitting on his but with his legs out. "C'mon." He coos, patting his thigh. You bite your lip before crawling over to him, sitting on his thigh. A soft whine leaves your lips as he tenses the muscle again. The material of his sweats make the feeling even better. They arent as scratchy as your own but theyre soft.
"If you can soak his sweats ill eat you out." You hear Jeonghan speak, Seungcheol humming as he placed his hands on your hips. "Hes good at giving head baby. Better soak me." He encourages, helping you move your hips along his thigh. Your hands rest on his shoulders, giving you extra stability to grind your hips. The fabric brushing against your clit just right, a soft whine leaving your lips. Soft encouraging words leaving Seungcheols lips. Seungcheol loved giving praise, and receiving. You whimpered into his hair, moving your hips harder.
"Baby likes praise ok Jeonghan? No name calling." You had told Seungcheol more about what you didnt like. You liked degredation, but you didnt want it from Jeonghan, and Seungcheol doesnt like giving it. Jeonghan hummed, his chest suddenly against your back, hands resting above the others, pushing you down and forward. "I know you can do better." You let out a moan at the feeling, hips stuttering. You were close to soaking through Seungcheols pants.
You were growing addicted to the feeling of his sweats brushing against your clit. It made your head dizzy and your body feel fuzzy. Jeonghans breath fanning across your neck made you shutter. "Can i?" You nodded. "Just not touching with your hands." He nodded, a wet kiss being pressed against your throat before there was a brush of his tongue.
When your moans got louder and more often he smirked, jerking you up Seungcheols thigh, leaving your orgasm there. "No!" You whined. "I want you to cum on my tongue. Trust me youll be having more to make up for just that one." It was going to be a long night. Was the lost coherent sentence you thought before you were moved onto your back, thighs spread and blonde hair tickling your innerthighs.
You knew once Jeonghan got his tongue on you it would be over. Your orgasm was ebbing away, a soft pout on your lips at the thought of a missed orgasm. But your mind went blank as soon as you felt his tongue brush against your clit, mouth dropping open. Jeonghan moved his arms, wrapping them around your thighs, palms resting against your stomach as he happily proceeded to eat you out.
His tongue slid through your slit, gathering all of your wetness. "Jeonghan can get messy while eating." Seungcheol spoke, eyes bright as he watched you squirm on his boyfriends tongue. You couldnt see Jeonghans eyes whenever you looked down to watch. You wiggled a bit, to get away or closer you dont know. All you wanted was more.
Your body jerked when his mouth closed around your clit and sucked, eyes rolling back and mouth opening, a broken call of Jeonghans name leaving you. You whined loudly, hand shooting down to grip his hair tightly as he continued. "Fuck...So good." Seungcheol moved, lips pressing against yours to muffle your cries as Jeonghan slipped his tongue inside you the same time Seungcheols hands slipped up your shirt and removed your bra.
His fingers quickly followed his tongue, slipping one inside as he pulled away, eyes dark with lust as he stared up at you. Pressing his thumb against your clit he rubbed it quickly and you pulled away from Seungcheol to grasp, gripping Jeonghans hair with one hand and one in Seungcheols. "Please please..." Please left your lips, wanting Jeonghans mouth back on you.
"Told you he was good, isnt he?" You nod rapidly as the blonde added another finger. "Cum on my tongue." His voice deeper then you heard before, lips spreading into a grin as he spread his fingers, quickly sticking his tongue between his fingers, tongue pressing against warm walls quickly before he moved his head back again, adding another finger and curling them up, searching for your sweet spot.
He knew he found it when your leg kicked out followed by your legs closing around his hand. "There?" You nodded quickly, whimpering and crying as he massaged the spot quickly. "Fuck fuck, Hannie please, can i cum?" He hummed. "Shes begging so prettily Han." Seungcheol pushed your hair back from your face, sweat making it stick. "Ok peach, you can come." He pressed his fingers against the spot hard, rubbing it quickly.
Your orgasm hits you like a train, back arching and legs twitching. "You used your manners, good girl." He soothed, hand stroking your hips. "I think Cheol deserves your attention now, look at him, he looks like hes in pain." He didnt look like he was in any type of pain, you scanned his face, just noticing the tick in his jaw. So it was painful. "Why dont you help him out?" Jeonghan hummed, helping you move. "Can you do that? Ill even reward you with another orgasm." The thought of coming again so soon made your body of seize up.
You nodded before you sat up, helping Seungcheol move his sweats (that were still soaked with your wetness) down his thighs. You loved Seungcheols size. He was a perfect mix of length of girth. He filled you up nicely, hitting that sweet spot everytime he fucked you. You struggled taking him down your throat however. For your mouth, it wasnt a perfect fit. You could barely get half his length into your mouth before his tip hit the back of your throat and his girth made the corner of your lips hurt the smallest bit.
But god if you didnt try every single time. You practiced your gag reflex often, hoping one day youd be able to take him. But by the glance you got at Jeonghan's pants he wasnt much better. "Only if you take off your pants too..." Currently he was the only one that still had his pants on. He nodded, removing his pants and his shirt, Seungcheol following with his shirt.
Licking your lips you watched Jeonghan strip. He was pretty, lean and slim. a deadly trio for your heart. His cock was as pretty as he was. he was a bit slimmer then Seungcheol, but they were the same length. You turned your head back to Seungcheol once his hand landed on your head. Smiling up at him you laid between his legs, taking your time to drag your tongue up the vein on the underside of his cock, seeing the chill go up his spine that you loved. Taking the head his cock between your lips and sucking gently at the tip, not noticing Jeonghan getting closer until your hips were pulled up, hands stroking the backs of your thighs.
Jeonghans hands were soft on your skin, not an unforgiving scratching or an aggressive smack. He smiled as he watched you relax, as much as you could with Seungcheol down your throat. You hummed around the elders cock, fighting back a gag as his hips jolted up at the vibration. "Fuck, you cant do that." He huffed, stroking your hair, pushing it back from your face. Seungcheol smiled as he made eye contact before it dropped as you took more of him, tears forming as you felt him hit the back of your throat.
You arched your back, legs spreading as you felt Jeonghan nudge them apart with one hand, the other pressing against your lower back, humming at the sight. "What a pretty sight." He cooed, smiling. "Cheollie look at this." Said males eyes flicked up from your face, seeing the way your back arched prettily. "Pretty." He trailed off. Youhollowed your cheeks, causing him to groan. "But i think this is prettier. Come see."
Pulling back from your back side he went around, looking down at you, lips tugging into a smirk. Your face was red, eyes teary with drool dribbling down your chin. Messy. You were messy. Jeonghan loved it. His fingers itching to touch. He watched as you pulled off, wiping your lips before sucking on the side of his cock, nipping at his pelvis. "No mar-" Jeonghan stopped himself. It was fine if you did. You werent going to be leaving after. You already had a space in Seungcheol's heart, you had to know Jeonghan had a you size shape in his heart too.
You smiled, a hand gripping his thigh. "You can fuck my face." Both boys stopped, the hand in your hair turning from stroking to gripping, tugging your hair back to lock eyes. "You sure?" You gave Seungcheol a smile. "Yes please." He took a breath before pulling you back towards his cock. "Tap my thigh twice for stop, and once to slow down." He waited for your nod. You had no problem touching Seungcheols thigh in any manner.
You took a deep breath before exhaling. You had been working on your breathing with your mouth full. Not full of cock but you made do with what you could. He let you get settled as Jeonghan moved back around to his spot. Stroking the skin of Seungcheol's thigh you hummed as a go ahead. He starts off carefully, the first gag had him groaning. The feeling of your throat constricting around him made his hips jerk more, speeding up his thrusts.
The hand gripping your hair and the cock assaulting the back of you throat distracted you from Jeonghan. Your attention was quickly taken by him as you felt his cock grind against your clit. Youre not sure when he had put on a condom but you werent about to complain. You didnt want a kid, at least right now. You groaned loudly around Seungcheol as both snapped their hips. You whined softly.
You felt them both stop, letting you get use to the intrusion on the opposite end. The feeling of Jeonghan's hands stroking the skin of your back made you relax more, eyes closing. You fleeting wonder if you could fall asleep like this. Filled from both ends and warm. You hummed, mind hazy. Pushing your hips back was the go ahead they both needed. Seungcheol restarting his thrusts while Jeonghan started his. It was a wonderful feeling. Being so full of both boys.
It wasnt long after that you started getting squirmy and Seungcheol's pace got erratic. "Little one 'm gonna cum..." He released the grip he had on your hair, giving you the chance to pull away, only for you to swallow him down, groaning as his cum filled your mouth, coming around Jeonghan once he rubbed your clit quickly.
Jeonghan let you ride out your high with slow thrusts. "Can you hold on for me? Gonna let me cum too?" You nodded, resting your head on Seungcheol's thigh. Jeonghan started slow, the oversensitivity made your body feel like pins and needles were in it. You whined unconsciously as he sped up, letting him take what he needed as the sound of skin slapping fill the living room as Seungcheol strokedd your hair. Feeling his hips jerk you did your best to help him, clenching around him a few times before you whined as your second orgasm hit you just as Jeonghan's hits him.
He rubbed your sides softly as he slowly pulled out, letting you down as he moved to clean everything up and throw away his condom. "I know you dont want to get up..." He starts and you groan in response, not liking where the conversation was heading. "But you need to wash up. My sheets are expensive." You roll your eyes. Jeonghan was back to himself. "C'mon ill carry you." You looked up at Seungcheol, huffing as he stood up, picking you up and chuckling as you winced.
"Hannie did a number on you didnt he." You knew Jeonghan went hard but you werent sure if was hard enough to hurt. You guess it was. "T-throat." Your voice was shot. A cocky grin grew on his lips. "Aw, did i fuck your voice away?" You huffed, looking towards the bathroom where you assume Jeonghan had disappeared to.
He was in there, adding bubbles and his favorite bath salts. You noted that he was sharing and a soft smile grew on your lips before you were glaring at Seungcheol as he spoke. "Hannie you fucked her pretty well. I think i was better though. Her voice is gone." He smirked and Jeonghan rolled his eyes. You thought was going to be on your side. But this was Jeonghan, he was on his own side or whichever benefited him most. "This time maybe."
Your jaw dropped. Were they going to make this a battle? Whoever made you unable to walk or talk the most wins?" You sigh but let yourself be lowered into the water, looked up at Jeonghan with wide eyes, a pout on your lips. "Do you want me to join you?" You nod and Jeonghan sighs dramatically. "I have to make sure Cheol doesnt burn the kitchen....but its fine, he will probably stay in here." A glance at Seungcheol had him nodding his agreement, sitting on the toilet lid as he watched Jeonghan slip in behind you, hugging you to him.
"Can you grab our baby some water please, carefully make some tea for her too?" Seungcheol pouted. "Why should i leave..." He mumbled as he disappeared for a few moments to grab some water and bringing it back to you. "I dont wanna be away right now." He confessed, coming back to sit next to you both. "Ok?" He asked and you nodded, giving him an ok sign as Jeonghan washed off the sweat from you. "Im going to wash your hair, then we can lay down ok?" You nod, eyes closing.
You could live like this. living in the warmth of the two and their love. Maybe you could learn to love some of Jeonghans possessive tendencies. You, you could definitely live like this. Like a princess.

Support System ~ Choi Seungcheol
Tumblr media
It came as no surprise to you as you walked into the studio to plenty of noise, feeling several pairs of eyes look across at you too as soon as you entered with several bags in your hands.
“Lunch,” you smiled, with the bags being taken from your hands before you even had the chance to finish what you were saying, looking around as several of them quickly emptied what was inside.
“You’re a life saver,” Seungcheol grinned as he approached you.
Your head shook as his arm wrapped around you, happy to stand back and watch the boys dig in for a little while first. Although you were waiting to eat too, you knew it was bound to be carnage if you got involved whilst the boys did,
It was far from the first time you had shown up just when the boys seemed to need you. Countless times you had been there to help out, especially when Seungcheol was feeling the pressure, trying your best to ease things for him.
“You bought so many of our favourites,” Mingyu called out to you as he tucked into one of the dishes, “you always know the right things to get us.”
Your smile was wide as several of the boys chimed in and told you how happy they were with what you’d bought, the perfect fix after a hectic morning of rehearsals.
“I hadn’t even thought about lunch,” Seungcheol frowned across at you as he admired the smiles on everyone’s faces, “I’d been so busy worrying about the routine.”
“It’s alright, you guys are busy.”
You could tell straight away that Seungcheol was annoyed at himself for not thinking about lunch, with twelve other people relying on him, he wished that he could have been more organised.
“Are you two going to come and eat?” Seungkwan called out as a spot on the floor opened up.
You quickly grabbed Seungcheol’s hand and led him across to it in an attempt to stop him beating himself up about not organising lunch sooner. You had managed to fix things, with the two of you working as a team, just like usual.
“Come on,” Seokmin encouraged as you found yourself sitting down beside him, feeling his side nudge into yours. “We’ve saved you some to enjoy.”
“I should hope so, I was the one that bought it.”
Seokmin’s eyes rolled as he passed you one of the plates that you had bought too so that they didn’t have to worry about how they were going to eat whilst in the studio.
“We can pay you back,” Minghao offered, “all you have to do is say.”
Your head shook in reply to Minghao straight away, as much as they didn’t like you spending money on them, you never minded stepping up when you needed to.
“Seungcheol, honestly, what would we do if you didn’t find Y/N?” Jihoon queried with a hum of delight in response to the food that he ate, “you found such a great human in Y/N.”
Seungcheol nodded in agreement with Jihoon as he began to load up the plate that he took from Seokmin too, reminding himself each time that he was eating thanks to you.
With their comeback pending, Seungcheol dug his head into the sand to get things done, often forgetting about what was around him. Time and time again you seemed to help him breathe a little easier and support him through the moments that troubled him.
“Y/N, you might need to come on tour with us so that we can continue being looked after,” Jeonghan called out, “you and Seungcheol can be our leaders together.”
Your head shook back at him with a chuckle, “you guys are just fine with Seungcheol, you don’t need me. I just like to do my bit for you guys every now and then, that’s all.”
“But you treat us so well, we can’t ever repay you for what you do.”
They couldn’t believe not just how lucky Seungcheol was to have you, but how lucky all of them were to have you. You kept them healthy and happy, even when at times they felt as if they were beginning to lose control.
“Just stop being nice and enjoy your lunch,” you warned all of them, beginning to get flustered as several compliments seemed to come your way. “It’ll go cold if you guys don’t eat it soon, then you won’t be thanking me.”
“Yes, we will,” Soonyoung argued, poking his tongue at him as you shot a glare across at him. “You’re not a part of Seventeen Y/N, but you’re as good as one of us, no one helps us out more than you do to keep us going.”
“They’re right,” Seungcheol spoke up too with a soft smile, “I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be able to be the leader that I am without you.”
Your head shook back at him, “you don’t give yourself enough credit sometimes, I keep telling you to stop underestimating yourself.”
Seungcheol’s smile turned up as a few of the boys began to move around the studio again after eating, heading to the toilet or going to pick up their phones to reply to any messages that they had gotten through the morning.
You and Seungcheol soon found yourselves sat with no one else anywhere nearby to you, with Seungcheol’s arm slowly moving to wrap around you. His eyes remained on the food that was around the studio, appreciating still not just the fact that you had brought them lunch, but the many other things that you did for them too.
“Have you eaten enough?” You asked Seungcheol as you went to creep forwards, only for Seungcheol to pull you back and stop you from helping to tidy things up.
“I’ve eaten more than enough, no thanks to you, of course.”
“Are you alright?” You quizzed, noticing that Seungcheol seemed to be a little distant with you, resting your hand over his. “I’ve done the right thing bringing you guys something to eat for lunch, haven’t I?”
Seungcheol nodded back at you straight away as his eyes looked across to you with a wide smile on his face, trying his best not to seem so distant.
“It’s just got me thinking really,” he began to tell you, “I mean, there’s so many things that I really don’t think that I would be able to do if it wasn’t for you Y/N.”
“We’ve been through this,” you laughed, “you really don’t need me, you can do this yourself with a bit more faith.”
Although you continued to downplay the role that you had in Seungcheol’s life, he would continue to pick you back up.
“You’re my support system,” he suddenly told you, “whilst the boys often rely on me as their leader, you’re the one that I rely on. Time and time again you help me out, and you never even complain about it too.”
“I just like to support you, because you support me too,” you smiled, “you’re always there when I need you too.”
Seungcheol nodded in reply to you, “I’ve got to repay you for all the things that you do for me, haven’t I, after all.”
“You know that whenever you need help, I’m here,” you whispered back across to Seungcheol.
His head continued to nod, “I mean it too, I couldn’t do the things that I do if it wasn’t for you, you’re the best Y/N.”
“Just like you’re the best leader too.”

Roommate - csc
Tumblr media
Pairing: Seungcheol x reader
Warnings: Swearing, weed use, slight mention of emotional abuse from an ex? Kinda angsty too?
Word count: 1k
A/N: I wrote this short drabble yesterday at work then typed it directly on here, so it hasn't really been edited, I apologize for any typos or mistakes. Also this is very self indulgent I'm having major Cheol feels these days please bear with me lmao
*This is purely a work of fiction. It is in no way meant to represent any idol in any way, shape or form.
✩✩✩✩✩✩✩
Seungcheol knew exactly where to find you.
You had been living together for over two years now, so when he walked in to see the playlist on the TV, the window to the balcony slightly opened, and the light smoke coming from outside, he knew what was going on. He kept his shoes and jacket on, crossing the living room to reach you.
It was crazy how quickly you guys went from complete strangers to the best of friends. You were a friend of a friend; his roommate had left, and you had fought with yours, which led to them kicking you out. You needed a place to stay, he needed a roommate, and so your common friend introduced the two of you, and you moved in with him within the week. You got along well, having similar habits and routines. If something bothered him, he would tell you, and so did you - most of the time anyway. So you had both agreed that you'd remain roommates for as long as this was working.
In those two years, Seungcheol had also gotten used to your coping mechanisms. He could always tell when something was wrong, because you would gradually close yourself up, and started smoking a little more often, until you broke down completely, and then you'd slowly get back up. He had tried to help you countless times before, but quickly realized that you didn't need him to save you. You just needed him to be there, to listen to you vent until you were ready to move on.
And so that's what he was prepared to do when he stepped outside. He sat down next to you in silence, doing his absolute best to not stare at you, since you knew you didn't like it in those moments. Instead, he focused on the peaceful evening, the sun slowly setting, the noisy city street below, the music softly coming from the opened window. Without a word, you handed him your lit joint, and he took it. When he exhaled the smoke, he felt you take a deep breath.
"[Your ex's name] broke up with me today," you said, and this time he looked at you. Even if you weren't facing him, he could see how puffy and red your eyes were, the somewhat fresh tears on your cheeks, your wet sweater sleeves where your arms rested on your knees. You had been crying for a while, he could tell. "Over text," you added, and all the restraint Seungcheol was trying to show was gone in an instant.
He had never like the guy. He always had a weird energy to him, always giving Seungcheol the impression that he couldn't care less about you or your friends, or about anything regarding your life. You had fought with him more than once, and Seungcheol had tried to keep you away from him, but you'd always go back. Now that the ties were broken, Seungcheol would finally be able to speak his mind to the asshole.
"What kind of fucking baby breaks up over text? I'll have a little chat with him later, believe me," he said, and you let out the tiniest chuckle. Seungcheol glanced at you, confused.
"I knew you'd choose violence."
"He deserves it, after everything he put you through," Seungcheol said, but you didn't reply, instead reaching for the joint. He gave it back to you, leaning his head on the wall behind him as you took a drag, trying to calm his anger.
"Do you wanna know why I was crying?" you asked, and he frowned.
"Because he broke your heart?"
"Maybe a bit. But I also realized that I'm an absolute idiot-"
"You're not an idiot," Seungcheol immediately argued, but you stopped him before he could add anything.
"Let me finish. I'm an absolute idiot, because I kept going back to the one who hurt me when when the one who loved me was right in front of me."
Seungcheol stopped breathing for a second. He never admitted it to himself, but he did love you. And not just as a good friend. He had feelings for you, but he'd never admit it, because that way, it hurt less to see you go out with other people. He had pushed his feelings away, especially in the last few months, convinced that he wasn't the only one in your friend group to like you. He wasn't one for drama, usually putting other people's feelings before his own. And now he feared he was right, and you would tell him you liked someone else. He wasn't sure his heart would take it.
"I guess they're right when they say love makes you blind," is what he replied to your statement, taking a longer drag of the blunt that had found its way between his fingers again.
"Seungcheol," you said, and he turned to you. You never used his full name. "I mean you. You've been there all along and I've been too stupid to see how good we are together."
Seungcheol's brain stopped working. He stared at you with wide eyes, his lips parted in a shocked expression. The feelings were scrambling in his heart, words tumbling as he struggled to find his voice.
"How'd you know?" he asked quietly.
"I didn't. Everyone kept telling me you liked me, and I kept saying you didn't, probably because I didn't want to admit that I liked you too. So I guess now we both know," you explained.
Seungcheol blinked, staring at you in disbelief. Your words suddenly clicked in his brain, and he leaned towards you. His hand found the back of your head, his lips gently finding yours. They were puffy and salty from all the tears you had shed, and Seungcheol promised himself he would never let anyone hurt you again.

You always saw it. Everyone saw it.
The way Seungcheol had a third eye for when a member was about to get into a situation that might hurt them. Like when Vernon was riding the skateboard and Seungcheol stuck out a hand to keep him from running into the lighting structure. Like when Seventeen was playing a game and Jeonghan got pushed into so Seungcheol supported his back so they wouldn’t fall over. Like when they were filming Going Seventeen in the rice field and Seungkwan fell back into Seungcheol and he held him up so he wouldn’t fully fall into the water.
Even if there was the possibility that Seungcheol could fall over as well, he always supported the members first. It was one of the things that made you fall for him, hard. And when it came to you, his third eye was alert as well, some members might argue it was more alert for you. Though rare, there were days when his third eye radar would shrink because of stress or exhaustion or just life to the point when he would be the one needing the protection and your own third eye would be alert.
Those days would start with something small that happened in your apartment that gave you the clue you needed to watch him closely.
It was a Thursday and Seventeen had a photoshoot. You were invited the previous week and you never said no to such activities.
With a tooth brush in your mouth, you were leaning your back against the wall beside the bathroom and watching Seungcheol roll out of bed, still very tired. He was sauntering over to the bathroom. With his eyes basically closed, he didn’t notice that he was off centered from the doorway. But you did. Just before his shoulder could collide with the doorframe, you grabbed his elbow and pulled him away.
“What?” He mumbled, stumbling with sleep.
“Nothing.” You answered with the shake of your head. You knew it was a rare day and you were going to have to pay close attention him.
The morning followed without another hitch. Seungcheol woke up after his shower and seemed alert and excited for the day. Over breakfast, he talked about the plans for the day and how the members must be so excited to have a shoot for the magazine.
On your way out, you glanced at his feet and saw that he wasn’t lifting them as high as he should have been. The two of you approached the door leading to the awaiting car. From the corner of your eye, you saw the corner of the rug near the door was flipped up at a weird angle. You reached out to grab his arm, just in case.
The second you did, he tripped over the corner of the rug. It took all your strength to hold him up and he let out a yelp of surprise, his head stopping just before hitting the glass door. If you hadn’t caught him, he would’ve crashed headfirst into the door.
“Has that carpet always been there?” He asked, standing up straight and looking down at the ground.
“Since I moved in.” You answered with a small smile, amused by his way of playing the trip off.
“Huh.” He opened the door for you and looked back at the carpet once more before following you out.
The car ride was fairly short, one of the shortest you had to take to a Seventeen schedule. You exited the car first and turned to wait for your boyfriend. His head was bent so he did see that the top of the door was lower than other cars he was used to. You reached in and tugged his arm lower just before he could bump his head.
Seungcheol planted his feet on the ground and looked around with a deep breath. You let go of his arm when Jeonghan exited his own car with Joshua, Dokyeom, and Hoshi trailing behind him.
“Hey, Coups!” Jeonghan smiled and waved. “Hey, (y/n)!”
“Heyo.” You smiled back, walking alongside them towards the large building.
You eyed a crack in the pavement and flinched to grab onto Seungcheol as he passed over it. Jeonghan saw you and caught your eye, giving you a weird look. You tried your best to convey that Seungcheol was off his game but you weren’t 100% sure Jeonghan understood.
“Where are the others?” Seungcheol wondered, taking in the quieter noise levels.
“Wonwoo, Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Woozi are getting ready.” Their manager pointed down a side hallway. “And Dino, Jun, The8, and Vernon are on their way.”
The boys walked down the hallway towards two rooms: one for makeup and the other for dressing.
“I’ll go get changed quickly.” Seungcheol wrapped an arm around your waist and kissed your head.
You nodded, “I’ll be right here.”
You watched as he disappeared into the room, the door closing firmly behind him. Not wanting to be in the way of the magazine staff, you slipped into the make up room where Jeonghan was waiting for his turn.
“What was that earlier?” He slid up next to you, keeping his voice low.
“He’s a bit off today.” You said, “Nearly ran into the doorframe at home and tripped over a rug, almost hit his head.”
Jeonghan pursed his lips in confusion. “I wonder what’s got him off.”
“You’re not the only one.” You sighed.
One of the chairs became free and Jeonghan was waved over so your conversation halted. But Dokyeom easily replaced it with a different conversation.
10 minutes later, the other four members arrived in the rooms and the noise level rose to the usual level. Seungcheol walked into the makeup room where you were engaged in deep conversation with Vernon about some new show you were both hooked on.
“Yo, why were you late?”Seungcheol asked, raising an eyebrow in suspicion.
“No, okay, hear me out.” Vernon said with sass and lifted a hand up in defense. “I was all set to go but then The8 hyung made me help him search for his hat that he swore I wore last.”
“Did you at least find the hat?” You wondered, smiling at the chaotic mess their dorm would’ve been in the morning.
The8 walked by at that moment, hatless, and grudgingly muttered, “Nope.”
Seungcheol clicked his tongue and gave a small shake of his head, “Shame.”
“S. Coups!” One of the make up stylists called for him loudly.
“Here!” Seungcheol answered.
You held out your hands for the jacket he was holding and he immediately handed over the deceivingly heavy garment. The weight caught you off guard and you almost dropped the whole thing.
As he walked away, you shamelessly checked him out. The black baggy pants paired with the white to black gradient sweater gave him a comfortable look. But you knew when he turned his charisma on, the outfit would exude confident power. Adding in the splattered black and white jacked in your hands and you knew the fans would go wild over the look. [Brownie points if you know the look!]
The others became busy, getting ready and preparing to turn into the models that they were. So, you took the time to eye your boyfriend from across the room.
He just sat in the chair, eyes closed, sitting ever so still for the stylists to do their job. The stylist said something to him that you couldn’t hear and you watched as he fought back a smile but ultimately failed. Seeing his smile light up his face brought a smile to your own. You couldn’t see anything that would be weighing him down and cause him to be off his game, but then again, he was really good at hiding things behind a wall. He’d been doing it for years.
Seungcheol glanced in the mirror and saw you staring at him. He sent you a wink and loved the way that even though you rolled your eyes, the tiniest pink blushed your cheeks for a second. He pointed to the door where the members were filing out through and held up his other hand, signaling that he’d be done in five minutes.
You held up an ‘ok’ sign and waddled out with his heavy jacket still in your hands, wondering if he’d be able to do anything with it on.
“What are you doing after this?” Mingyu asked, walking out with you.
You shrugged, “I have no idea. I thought this would take all day.”
“Yeah, it probably will but like it won’t take until morning.” Mingyu swung his arms at his sides like a child and turned around to walk backwards. “You want to come get dinner with us afterwards?”
“Sure, sounds like fun.” You agreed and then wondered when the shoot would actually finish.
“Great! There’s this really good grilled pork place like five minutes away.” He said, eyes bright with excitement.
You nodded and listened but noticed the hallway was becoming slightly more crowded and Mingyu was still walking backwards.
“I’m trying to convince the others that we should go there.” He rolled his eyes, “But they’re being stubborn.”
You were listening to Mingyu but distant voices creeped in calling for people to move out of the way.
“It would be great if you could help me convince them.” Mingyu gave you puppy eyes and you pushed him towards the wall just as a cart of equipment was rolled by you.
“I can try but I think you’ll be able to convince them yourself.” You told him, smiling at his excitement.
“Mingyu!” Their manager called for him with a wave.
Mingyu left your side and you entered a large area, one side coated in white paint from the ceiling onto the floor. A large crowd of people were milling around, some with camera equipment and some with clipboards.
“(Y/n)!” Jun waved you over to where he stood with a few other members. “Help us pick out a playlist.” He turned a phone towards you.
You hummed in thought before just choosing a random popular hits playlist. The music played through the speakers and filled the room.
“Nice music pick.” Seungcheol said, coming up next to you.
“Well, music is my life.” You handed him the jacket and he took it with ease.
Sliding it on, he looked around the room and counted the members he could see, mentally taking a head count. His head turned to the side and you watched his eyes scan the entire room. He moved to take a half step back but you grabbed his arm to keep him from moving too far.
Seungcheol’s head snapped down to you, worried that something was wrong.
“Didn’t want you to trip.” You pointed down the floor where a cluster of cords sat close to his foot.
He looked down and then back up at you. “I didn’t even see them there.”
“I know.” You nodded and squeezed his arm. “But I did.”
Leaning forward, he quickly kissed your forehead before stepping onto the set as the other members did the same.
Not wanting to be in the way, you moved to the side and just enjoyed watching the members do their thing.
It was supposed to be a fairly serious shoot but of course, with Seventeen’s collection of personalities, there were moments filled with fits of laughter. These were the moments that your third eye was on high alert.
Dokyeom was dancing around and making everyone laugh. He was spinning around, going across the length of the photozone. You watched as he started to dance backwards towards you. The others were in fits of laughter. As he got closer, you put your hands up to prevent him from leaving the photozone and possibly tripping over one of the millions of wires on the ground. He rebounded with ease and kept dancing, even pulling laughter from the staff.
A few minutes later, Hoshi started doing crazy gestures and poses. You caught Seungcheol’s eye and used facial expressions to tease him about what the members were doing. His focus was on you and how your face scrunched up into the cutest expressions that he could barely figure out. Hoshi was swinging his hat on his finger and your ears filled with the sound of laughter and clapping. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Hoshi’s hat go flying. Your reflexes immediately darted out your arm and you barely caught the white hat.
Seungcheol’s eyes widened at your catch more surprised that you actually caught it than the fact that you felt the need to catch it.
You smirked and Hoshi rushed up to you with apologies riding on the laughter that was spilling out of his mouth.
They then split up for their unit shots. The waiting members decided to congregate near you. With so many people around you, your senses heightened for the dumb stuff they would do.
You were listening to a conversation in front of you. Behind you was Dino and suddenly you felt him stumble backwards. So you rocked back on your feet and used your back to make sure he didn’t tumble down to the ground.
“Sorry, (y/n).” He apologized.
But you just shook your head, “It’s fine.”
You exhaled and looked around, starting to wonder how your boyfriend was able to do this on a daily basis. It did come a bit naturally to you but it wasn’t your normal and it was more tiring than you remembered.
The performance team switched out with the hiphop team and Seungcheol made a bee-line for you.
“Hi.” He smiled happily, wrapping you up from behind.
“Hello.” You leaned back into him, “Having fun?”
“I think too much.” He replied with a chuckle.
You tilted your head up to him, “Why do you say that?”
He shrugged, swaying the both of you to the music, “I don’t know, just feels like it.”
“Don’t worry about it.” You squeezed his arms, “Just keep having fun.”
Seungcheol rested his chin on your shoulder and pressed himself closer to you.
The photoshoot finished with no problems and good vibes all around. Mingyu had succeeded in convincing everyone to go get dinner at the grilled pork place he told you about earlier. With all the staff trying to tear down the set equipment, you opted to wait outside in the parking lot while the boys changed.
The sun was setting and creating blue and pink clouds. You were admiring the colors when the members started to file out of the building one by one. Well, you could hear them before they appeared at your side. You were sure their excitement could be heard from miles away sometimes.
They came skipping out, excited to get some food into their systems. Seungcheol was following Wonwoo out of the building and, out of impulse, you glanced down at his feet. The tip of Seungcheol’s shoe got caught on lip of the door.
Before your mind could think, your body jumped forward and caught Seungcheol’s arm before he could face plant onto the concrete.
“Ya, Coups, you good?” Jeonghan asked, coming up behind him.
Seungcheol straightened up but still held onto you. “Yeah. I’m good.”
“I’m starving!” Mingyu yelled from one of the cars, “Let’s go eat!”
You intertwined your hand with Seungcheol’s and slid into a car with Hoshi, Joshua, and Seungkwan. In the backseat, you leaned your head on Seungcheol’s shoulder and he played with your hands.
He sighed and muttered, “No one got into trouble today.”
“That’s a good thing.” You reminded him.
“I know.” He said quickly, “It’s just odd.”
“Odd?” You glanced up at him and his eyebrows were scrunched together.
Seungcheol’s lips pouted for a second, “Usually a couple members would cause trouble for themselves but none of them did this time.”
The car entered the restaurant’s parking lot and your mind replayed the moments when you stopped those moments from happening. The exact way Seungcheol was thinking about.
“I guess they were on good behavior today.” You commented before slipping out of the car.
“I guess so.” You heard him agree.
Standing outside the car, you waited for him to exit and watched his head for the second time in the day. And for the second time in the day, you had to pull his arm down so he wouldn’t smack his head against the ceiling of the car.
You giggled to yourself while he led you into the restaurant.
“What?” He questioned you with a very confused look.
You shook your head, “Nothing.”
He would never say anything about it and neither would you. But maybe one day you would tell him that he always had a back up third eye.

To say Choi Seungcheol was nervous was an understatement. Heck, he thought he might just faint as he made his way to Mr Han's office. The CEO of Pledis Entertainment, this must be important if he wanted to meet with him, but the thing that threw Seungcheol off was that he was called to this meeting alone, without Haerim.
They had shared confused looks when a staff member came to the training room and told Seungcheol that Mr Han wanted to see him. Haerim asked if they were sure the CEO didn't want to see her too, but the staff confirmed that he only asked for Seungcheol. This seemed unusual to them. Usually when they were called for meetings they went together, since they were both leaders of Seventeen. Seungcheol was bewildered as to why Haerim wasn't wanted for this meeting. What could they possibly say that they don't want her to know? This thought made another wave of nervousness wash over Seungcheol. He was trying hard not to overthink the situation but the closer he got to the office the more anxious he became.
So many 'what it's' were going trough his head as he knocked on the door. Hearing a voice telling him to come in, he took a deep breath to calm himself down before entering the room. He was met with the CEO of Pledis, who sent him a kind smile and motioned for him to take a seat in front of the desk.
"I'm sure you're wondering why I called you here." Mr Han said after Seungcheol had sat down in front of him.
"Yes sir." Seungcheol answered shortly, hoping the CEO won't take too long to get to the point.
"I won't keep you long, I just wanted to talk to you about Project Seventeen. You are aware that Seventeen is intended to be a co-ed group?"
Seungcheol nodded. He had a bad feeling he knew where this was going.
"Through Project Seventeen we planed on debuting the top seventeen trainee's. We didn't think I would end up so.... unbalanced."
Unbalanced. That word didn't sit right with Seungcheol. It was true that they lost more female trainees resulting in a large gap between male and female members. He had to admit thirteen boys and four girls does seem like unfavorable numbers. But he never saw a problem with it and the members never complained. It's been this way for quite some time now and the girls got along with all the boys very well. They've even been living in the same dorm as the boys for over six months now without too much drama. Sure the male to female ratio was uneven but he wouldn't say they were unbalanced. Sighing, Mr Han continued.
"Nothings been decided yet but the board and I have been discussing removing the girls from the line up and debuting Seventeen as a boy group instead."
Wait, what? Seungcheol's heart sunk at the CEO's words. They're gonna kick the girls out?
"Why are you telling me this?" Seungcheol had a lot of questions. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. I seemed so absurd.
"Listen Seungcheol, I just wanted to let you know what we're talking about and that it could happen. You've all been working so hard and I didn't want to drop the news on you all so suddenly."
"Then why didn't you call Haerim in too? Shouldn't she know about this?" Seungcheol asked, getting a bit irritated by the whole situation.
"Yes but..." Mr. Han hesitated for a moment, seeming to look for the right words. "I think she would take it better if it came from you. We both know Haerim can be difficult sometimes."
Difficult. Another word that didn't sit right with Seungcheol. Yes, Haerim can be stubborn and a pain to work with sometimes but under all that is a good hearted leader who only wants the best for the team. Sure, leading the group with her had been challenging and they've argued more then a few times but over the past few years he's really got to know her and has become very fond of her. There's a lot of words he'd use to describe Haerim but difficult isn't one of them.
He couldn't remember what was said after that, mind and heart racing with thoughts of Haerim and the members. What if they decided it won't work with the girls after all? What would happen to them then? As Seungcheol made his way back to the training room, the more he thought about it the more it dawned on him what might really be happening. Mr. Han's words rang in his head. Unbalanced. Difficult. Intention. What exactly was the intention for Seventeen? Was it even the plan to debut a co-ed group from the beginning? Did they think they wouldn't notice when they stopped adding female trainees? Was it their plan to add more boys until the girls had dropped out completely then get rid of the few remaining? Was this whole thing just a set up to draw the publics interest? I didn't make sense to Seungcheol, who's frustration seemed to grow the more he thought about it.
Arriving back at the training room Seungcheol's eyes immediately went to the four girls in the room. Seohyun was sitting with Seungkwan and Chan, laughing at their jokes and watching the other members mess around. His eyes then traveled to Kyungmin, who was talking with Wonwoo, Myungho and Hansol in the corner. Then to Yejin standing with Seokmin, Mingyu and Joshua in the middle of the room. They seemed to be recreating a scene from a drama but he's learned not to question the antics of the members. His gaze then went to her, Haerim, standing with Soonyoung and Jihoon at the computer, going over a video of the routine they were learning. Soonyoung said something that made her laugh and even with the noise of all the teenagers in the room it was as if her laughter was all he could hear. The sound made is anger disappear but instead feelings of guilt took it's place. How was he going to tell her? She loved this group and knew she would be devastated to have to say goodbye. How could he tell her when she and the other girls worked so hard for their dream only to be kicked out like they didn't matter? Then the boys would continue like nothing happened? Like they were never here. No, he won't let that happen. He would prove it. They will prove that they can be strong no matter the difference between boys and girls. So the numbers aren't perfect but that doesn't mean they can't be.
"Is everything okay?" A voice asked from beside Seungcheol. Jeonghan, who had been watching the leader since he came in, saw the way his eyes moved over the girls and was beginning to worry something might be wrong. Turning to his friend, Seungcheol tried to give him a reassuring smile.
"It's fine." He said, turning back towards Haerim, watching as she practiced some dance moves with Soonyoung. "Everything's going to be okay."

“You leave tomorrow,” you say as you enter the stables.
You see Seungcheol stiffen for a moment, then recognize a sigh in the drop of his shoulders. He strokes a soft hand over the nose of his horse, moves his hand to the side of her face. “Yes,” he says.
The resignation in his voice makes you angrier than you already are, but you only watch as Seungcheol removes the gear off of his horse, as silent as you. The horse snorts in your direction and you take it as a sign to speak again, pulling your evening shawl further over your shoulders to fight the sudden chill of your anxiety. “You didn’t think to tell me?”
Seungcheol shrugs and you burn. “It’s a war,” he says, neutral. “Everyone’s leaving. I figured I wouldn’t have to tell you.”
He reaches for his horse to start undoing the lead’s knot under her chin. You grab his wrist, holding it back. You didn’t even realize you had moved, and by the way Seungcheol stutters his breath you know he wasn’t expecting it either. But he doesn’t move – he could easily overpower you with all the training he does, and yet he lets you grip him, doesn’t fight back. He doesn’t look at you.
“Don’t do that,” you tell him, voice low. “I shouldn’t have to hear it from anyone else. Not if it’s about you.”
Seungcheol’s wrist flexes in your grip as he closes his fist. “It doesn’t matter.”
“What do you mean it doesn’t matter?” You demand, taking your hand away from his wrist. “You –”
You cut yourself off. He won’t look at you.
“Look at me, Seungcheol.” Your voice is shaky. You try to ignore it. You know it’s a war. You know he’ll go – there was never a moment you thought he wouldn’t. He doesn’t have a choice, and even if he did…
Crickets sing. Seungcheol’s horse shifts, then turns away from his hand and farther back into her stall, disappearing from sight. He has no distraction now, no excuse. The lanterns in the stable flicker with the summer breeze. The weather has been so warm recently. You wonder if the rival kingdom is just as warm.
“I can’t,” Seungcheol says, shoulders dropping. “I won’t leave if I see you. I can’t.”
It’s like your heart breaks into a million pieces right then, all the tension of what you thought would happen leaving your body as you go to him. You lean into his back, wrapping your arms around his torso. The dirt shifts underneath your shoes – your maids will be furious at the stains, but it doesn’t matter. Nothing matters except for this.
Seungcheol’s hands fall over yours, and in silence you understand him. He squeezes your fingers and you just feel so lost, so empty. There is nothing to do, nothing that can ease the ache that so deeply resonates through the two of you.
“You come back, you hear me?” You say into his back, breathing in the smell of him. “You have to come back.”
Prince consort, you told him one day. Under peach blossoms in the palace gardens, dressed in the light of last year’s spring. Tensions with the other kingdom were high, but not irreversible. You were one year younger and just as foolish. Seungcheol had smiled and said he needed to be even stronger if he was going to be your prince.
Seungcheol pulls your hand up to his mouth and presses the softest kiss to your fingertips. He doesn’t say anything, and he doesn’t need to. Coming back from a war is not a choice, but a privilege.
You stay holding him for so long your feet feel numb. When he whispers that you should get back, that it’s late and you need rest, it feels normal. It takes you too long to break away from him.
You start to leave, footsteps echoing in the stables as you go. But it’s impossible not to turn back, to catch one last glance. God knows how long it might be before you see him again. If you ever do.
Seungcheol’s eyes are warm when they meet yours, full of something so tender.
For some reason, your feet don’t stop moving until you reach the door of your chambers.

banana pancakes - seungcheol (m)
summary: when the city girl comes back home for the summer, the cocky diner owner tasks himself with making her feel welcome.
word count: 12k
warnings: not quite enemies to lovers, more like annoyance to lovers; smut, afab reader, gendered nicknames (mostly just city girl), oral (m receiving)
masterlist
seungcheol was in the middle of a lunch rush when you walked in. you looked frazzled and out of place, but he couldn’t keep his eyes off you. he almost dropped someone’s blt because he couldn’t stop staring. you however couldn’t figure out who in this dingy place could possibly be the owner, so you awkwardly stand to the side at the counter while you squint at the specials board.
“what’ll you have?” cheol asks as he rounds the bar, ending up at the cash register in front of you. “speak quickly.”
“excuse me?” you ask, taken aback.
“it’s busy, you’re holding up the line, order now or i’ll pick for you,” he tries again and you blink at him in shock. people in the city were rude, sure, but not like this.
“fine, order for me then,” you say as you hand him your card. “and add a black coffee. all of this is to go.”
“i scared you off so soon?” cheol smirks as he rings you up. “total’s two dollars and fifty cents.”
“uh, that’s all?”
“meal’s on me,” he shrugs. “won’t charge you for it if it ends up being something you don’t like.”
“oh, well, thanks,” you say as you sign the receipt. “when will it be ready?”
“when it’s ready,” cheol replies like it’s obvious.
“wonderful service here,” you say as you roll your eyes. you take a seat at the newly open stool at the counter and cheol tsks.
“seats are for customers who eat here,” cheol says while he gets to work with your coffee.
“make the food faster and i’ll leave sooner,” you counter back. cheol nods, smiling to himself as he goes to the back. when he reemerges he’s got one container in his hand that he drops off to you before skillfully helping everyone else at the counter. you watch in quiet appreciation, noticing how his buff chest makes his plaid shirt fight for its life to not pop open. you see bits of curly hair peeking out from under the backwards cap on his head, and-
“that’s the last of it,” cheol says as he drops another container off in front of you. he comes back a moment later with a bag and starts packing it up for you as he explains, “had some left over banana pancakes from breakfast, hope you’re fine with that even though it’s past noon.”
“no, that’s great,” you sputter out, “that’s my favorite kind actually.”
“noted,” cheol says as he holds your gaze for a moment. “then i made you some turkey sausage to go with it. hope it’s worth the two bucks.”
“i’m sure it will be,” you say as you grab the bag. “thanks-”
“cheol,” he smiles. “and you are?”
“y/n,” you reply. “you new here?”
“nope, but you are.”
“no i’m not,” you shake your head. “i grew up here. i’m just home for the summer.”
“from school?” cheol questions, wiping down the counter.
“my big city job, actually,” you reply. “i just quit so i need to live at home for a bit while i find a new one.”
“well it’s nice to meet you, city girl,” cheol smiles. “enjoy the food.”
“bit of advice?” you ask as you stand up, sipping your coffee. “fix the attitude. good coffee though.”
-
“and then he ended up paying for my food,” you finish explaining to your best friend, vernon. as soon as you left the diner you headed to vernon’s house (where he still lives with his parents - don’t mention it, it’s a touchy subject).
“yeah, seungcheol’s a weird guy,” vernon replies as he takes another one of your pancakes and folds it up like a taco. “at least you got free food though, that means he likes you.”
“doubtful,” you roll your eyes. “he seems like a dick.”
“oh then he’s just your type,” vernon teases, and you kick at his lap. he’s the definition of bachelor living at home, he has the whole basement of his parent’s house to himself and there’s really just a bed, a couch, and a full set of instruments set up in the corner for his band that practices here. you’re currently sat on the couch, a movie long forgotten on vernon’s projector. you couldn’t stop talking about cheol, or thinking about him, since you left the diner. he really irked you today. “whatever. pretend you don’t think he’s sexy, but i think someone’s got a little crush.”
“screw you,” you laugh as you snatch the take out container from his lap. “you don’t get to eat my food anymore.”
“seungcheol does deliveries, you know,” vernon says coyly. “i could call him and he’ll be here in minutes...”
“eat all you want, just save me a pancake.”
-
after your debrief with vernon, you finally headed back home. you needed the time with your best friend to catch up and get some much needed insight on your current situation. you were staying at home for a while, yes, but you couldn’t decide how long that would last. you had quit your job in the city because you were burned out, and you didn’t know what was coming next. but the little bit you’ve spent at home has reminded you of how easy life here can be. you can’t decide if you need to refresh your city life, or just stay at home and slow it down for a while. vernon wasn’t much help, he just reminded you of all the things you’d miss about both places, and then not so subtly mentioned that cheol only exists in your small town.
cheol. he’s a mystery to you, but thinking about him makes your blood boil. unfortunately, vernon told you, his diner is the only edible place in town right now. you don’t feel like cooking for yourself tonight, and your parents are currently out of town on vacation, so if you want a meal then you’ll have to face the bully in a baseball cap again.
once you’ve unpacked at home, you collapse onto the couch in your living room, ready to relax and maybe order a pizza to keep you from seeing cheol again so soon. you spend a few minutes channel surfing only to be interrupted by your stomach growling, and you realize your fate is set. you’ll have to go back to the diner.
when you walk through the door, you’re met with the ding of the bell and silence. there’s only one other person there, sitting at the far end of the counter with his food. at the sound of the bell cheol emerges from the back, wiping his hands and smiling.
“back so soon, city girl?” he asks. “sit anywhere, i’ll bring you a menu.” wordlessly you find the stool you sat at earlier today and sit, smiling awkwardly at the only other customer here. he nods back, a patch of ketchup on the side of his lips. when cheol comes back he passes you a menu and asks the man, “all good hoshi?”
“you got anymore ketchup?”
“check your face.”
“charming, isn’t he?” hoshi, apparently, asks you. you chuckle politely and look at the menu, but hoshi’s interest is piqued. “sorry, what’s your name?”
“city girl!” cheol shouts from the back, and you shoot him a glare he doesn’t see.
“i’m y/n,” you reply. “nice to meet you. aren’t you friends with seungkwan?”
“i am! how do you know him?”
“we went to school together,” you explain, and hoshi nods.
“you’re vernon’s big city friend,” hoshi connects the dots. “what brings you back home?”
“need to save money while i look for a new job,” you tell him, and cheol joins you at the counter just then.
“saving money and yet you’ve eaten here twice today?”
“well you gave me my food for free earlier, so i thought i could get another deal,” you joke.
“she got free food?!” hoshi shrieks. “i come here every day! i keep your lights on! i deserve a free meal every once in a while!”
“yeah, but you’re not a pretty girl, hosh,” cheol replies.
“oh, i see what’s going on here,” hoshi smiles knowingly. you sputter trying to defend yourself, but cheol won’t let you.
“do you know what you want?” he asks you, “or you want me to pick again?”
“how’s the fried chicken?” you ask hoshi instead.
“oh, to die for,” he tries to convince you. “but if cheol really likes you then you should ask for something off menu-”
“gross,” you interject.
“-like pasta, he makes a killer carbonara-”
“hoshi,” cheol warns, and you hide your smirk seeing the blush on cheol’s cheeks. when he turns back to you it deepens because he sees how you’re staring at him. he clears his throat and asks, “so? chicken or not?”
“i’ll do the chicken and potatoes please,” you say with a nod. “and another coffee too.”
“it’s almost 8pm,” cheol stops. “you’re gonna drink coffee at 8pm?”
“you’ve still got some in the pot,” you nod toward the machine. “just give me what’s left and you won’t have to throw it out. i’m the only crazy person who drinks coffee this late apparently.”
“you’re never gonna sleep,” cheol continues to scold you.
“i will, promise,” you insist. “now give me the coffee, please. i’m a little tired of you telling me what i can and can’t have here.”
“this is riveting,” hoshi says with his chin on his hand, leaning over the counter as he watches your interaction. with cheol safely in the back, he scoots a couple seats closer and asks, “so do you think he’s hot?”
“excuse me?”
“it’s alright, you can tell me,” he says. “your secret is safe with hoshi.”
“i’m sorry, i don’t-”
“stop bothering my customer, man,” cheol says as he returns with a clean coffee mug. he pours what’s left from the pot and passes it to you, your hands brushing as he passes it over. “you tired or something? why’re you drinking coffee so late?”
“it’s 8pm, this isn’t late,” you say before taking a sip. “and it’s good coffee. sorry i wanted to give you money.”
“can i get the check?” hoshi asks, interrupting the way seungcheol was trying to commit the shape of your lips to memory. “i’ll leave you two alone.”
“no, you’re fine,” you say quickly, but cheol is faster and has the check and change ready for hoshi. he politely waves goodbye to you both, and after the ding of the bell the diner falls silent. cheol leans back against the counter with the coffee, watching you. “shouldn’t you be in the kitchen?”
“nope, i was waiting to see if anything interesting was gonna happen out here,” he replies as he crosses his insanely buff arms over his chest.
“sorry buddy, but i’m all good,” you say as you take another sip of coffee. “just incredibly hungry.”
“then let me help you with that,” he says with a smirk before disappearing. you notice that your cheeks are hot, probably from how enraging seungcheol is. no other reason.
-
one thing you’re determined to do while you’re home is clean out your childhood room. your mom has been complaining about how much junk you and your siblings have left here over the years, and you’re tired of the passive aggressive comments whenever you come visit. consider it an early birthday present mom, the old toys and decaying art projects will be gone before you know it!
it takes a few days for you to sort through all the junk, throwing out what’s unusable and making countless trips around town to donate the rest. you’re finally left with the bones of your room: a few childhood mementos you can’t bear to part with, the twin bed you’ll be sleeping on for the next few weeks, and a broken desk you can’t seem to move on your own. you’ve been frustrated by the thing more times than you can count, so you cave and call vernon for help.
“come move my desk for me,” you say as soon as he picks up.
“hello?” he replies, confused.
“hey,” you continue. “you know the desk in my room that’s been broken since high school? help me move it, please.”
“why?”
“because it’s annoying.”
“just like you?”
“please vernon?” you whine. “it’s too heavy for me on my own and my car isn’t big enough to drive it somewhere.”
“fine. you owe me pizza though,” he says as you hear keys jingling in the background. “be there soon.”
eventually there’s a knock at your front door, and you slump up from the couch grumbling about how late vernon is. you open the door, ready to complain about his punctuality, only to be met with cheol’s smiling face.
“hey city girl, heard you need a truck?” he asks as he leans forward, peeking into your house. “where’s the desk?”
“um, my room?” you reply, and you watch in shock as cheol walks in and makes himself at home. “where are you going?”
“to your room?” he turns around, hands in his pockets but smirk still perpetually on his lips. “vernon said you’d have it ready to go but i guess he didn’t realize how spoiled you must be.”
“spoiled?” you scoff, pushing past him to your room. “because i can’t move a desk by myself?”
“it’s alright, everyone has flaws,” cheol nods as he follows you like an eager puppy. he stops at the doorway to your room, taking it in. he tries to hide a smile when he sees the baby blankets and dolls strewn across your bed. “you gonna introduce me to your friends?”
“shut up,” you snap. “come help me with this.”
“can’t even give me a please?” he sighs, coming into your room anyway. he joins you at the desk, facing you at the other end. he gets a good grip and then says, “lift on three. one, two, three,” he huffs. it’s astounding how easy it is to move with cheol’s help, and he backs out of your room carefully to make sure you don’t trip.
“so where’s vernon?” you ask, carefully walking the desk out of your house. you get to the front steps and cheol stops.
“you think you can get it down the stairs?” he asks. “don’t trip.”
“i’ll be fine,” you insist. “answer my question.”
“vernon doesn’t have a truck.”
“i didn’t say i needed a truck,” you grumble. “this could’ve fit in his van.”
“that broken down thing?” cheol chuckles. “i’m pretty sure the extra weight would make the car stop altogether. vernon felt the same, that’s why he asked me so nicely to come help a damsel in distress.”
“you’re obnoxious, did you know that?” you ask him as he guides you to lift the desk up into the back of his truck.
“and you’re stronger than you look,” he comments slyly, watching as you straighten your clothes. “so where’s this going?”
“the dump?” you reply. “thanks for hauling it, i guess.”
“hey, whoa,” he whistles as you start turning back to your house, “where are you going?”
“inside?”
“you’re not coming with me?” he asks with a pout.
“you’re a big boy, you can manage on your own,” you reply with a similar pout.
“no, seriously,” he says, “you gotta come with me to tell me where this goes.”
“i don’t care, just drop it off somewhere,” you reply.
“hm, and you said you weren’t spoiled,” cheol tsks as he climbs into his truck. “whatever. see you later city girl.”
“wait!” you shout over the sound of cheol’s truck starting. he rolls the window down to hear you better, an eyebrow quirked as he waits for you to go on. “um, let me grab my keys. i’ll be right back.”
“sure thing,” he smirks. “i’ll keep the seat warm for ya.”
-
“are you sure this is the right way?” cheol complains. you’ve circled this block three separate times, so sure that the donation center is somewhere on this street.
“if you would just slow down,” you whine. “i was here the other day, i know it’s close by.”
“oh, so you can do things on your own?” cheol teases, and you cross your arms. “sorry, that was rude.” silence. “are you giving me the silent treatment now?” nothing. “god. you’re irritating, you know that?”
“hm right back at ya,” you reply. “turn left up here.”
“why?”
“because i said so.”
“fine,” cheol grumbles. as soon as you’re around the corner you see the donation center and you point toward the drop off, already unbuckling your seatbelt so you can be out of the car ready to unload before cheol even puts it in park. “hey, be careful,” he scolds, following behind you and lowering the tailgate. “you’re annoying but i don’t want you to get hurt on my watch.”
“i’ll be fine,” you bark, and cheol holds his hands up in defense.
“did i say something?” he asks as you work together to bring the desk back down. “you’re touchy.”
“you’re getting on my nerves,” you explain, “so let’s move this desk and get this lovely afternoon over with, hm?”
“so nice to someone doing you a favor, sweet thing,” cheol replies, and your grip on the desk almost slips at the new nickname.
“what was wrong with city girl?”
“i like to spice things up,” cheol smirks, knowing he’s getting to you. once you drop the desk off he rushes back to the truck to open your door for you, offering his hand so you can easily climb back into the cab. you ignore him and pull yourself up, and cheol gives your ass an appreciative glance. you let him close the door for you, and you stew silently as he closes the tailgate and gets back into the driver’s side. “you all buckled?”
“yep.”
“you gonna be a brat the whole ride back?”
“depends, you gonna call me spoiled and irritating some more?”
“depends,” cheol smiles, and you let your head fall back onto the headrest with a groan. you drive on for a while in silence, and you try to sneak a glance at cheol without him noticing. he’s wearing a new flannel, the sleeves folded up to his elbows to show off his strong arms. his hair is still hidden by that cap, and you’re tempted to ask him to take it off so you can see the curls you know are hiding underneath. “whatcha lookin at?”
“you,” you don’t try to hide it. “just trying to figure out how someone the town seems to love so much can be such a jerk.”
“when you make the best food for miles people tend to overlook the attitude problems.”
“so you admit it?”
“admit what?”
“that you have an attitude?” you ask, leaning forward to look at him better.
“yes, i do,” he says with a sidelong glance at you. “and the sooner you admit to yours the sooner i think we’ll get along.”
“in your dreams.”
“so you want me to dream about you?”
“oh my god,” you groan, letting your head fall against the dashboard. “drop me off here, i’ll walk home.”
“no can do, city girl, there’s lots of scary things round these parts.”
“you’re one of them,” you say with an accusing finger pointed cheol’s way.
“but i’m a sweetheart,” he says innocently. “and we’re almost back at your house, take a chill pill.”
“alright dad,” you grumble. there’s another beat of silence before you quietly mumble, “thank you, by the way.”
“what?”
“i said thank you,” you repeat. “i don’t know how i would’ve moved that desk on my own. so thanks.”
“you’re welcome, sweet thing,” cheol says happily. “you know, if you got my number, you could ask me for help whenever you need it.”
“i think i can manage on my own,” you say with a nod as cheol pulls up to your house. he puts the truck in park and turns to face you, arms still draped over the steering wheel.
“well, you know where to find me,” he replies. you think he’s going to say something else, but he just stares at you instead, so you awkwardly clear your throat and say your goodbyes. cheol watches you walk up to your house, making sure you’re safe inside before pulling off. you see him waiting when you turn to close the door, and you shyly wave goodbye before closing it behind you.
-
the next day you find yourself outside the diner again. you had been running around town all morning finishing up errands, and you tried holding out on grabbing a cup of coffee for as long as possible. you don’t know what cheol does to make the coffee so good but you can’t stop thinking about it. the coffee and the man serving it are addictive, and you take a deep breath before opening the door to find an empty diner. no diners, no cheol.
“hello?” you call out to no reply. you slowly walk toward the counter and take your usual seat, looking around. you hear footsteps but you’re not sure from where, and cheol appears from a dark corner at the end of the counter. he looks surprised but pleased to see you, and he takes his time moseying down to stand in front of you.
“well hey there sweet thing,” he greets you. “coffee?”
“please,” you nod. “how did you know? and where did you come from?”
“you’re a creature of habit,” he replies. “and my apartment is upstairs, it was slow so i went up to take a break.”
“really mixing your work life balance living above your business,” you tell him. “that’s not good for you.”
“coffee’s not good for you either,” cheol scolds despite handing you a fresh cup.
“then why do you serve it?” you question, taking the warm mug from him regardless.
“brings in the money,” he answers. “you want anything else?”
“hm, i’m good for now, thanks,” you reply, trying to organize the bags at your feet. cheol stands on his toes, looking over the counter to stare at your stuff.
“shopping till you drop?” he teases, and you groan as you sit back up.
“i promised my mom i would restock the house before my parents came back from vacation, so i had to get some groceries,” you start to explain. “but i forget we live in the middle of nowhere so i had to go to a couple stores to get everything i need.”
“your parents are coming back?” cheol asks, and you hum in response. he leans on the counter, abnormally close to you, before he says, “when do you want me to stop by to meet them?”
“um, never?” you respond. “you’ve probably met them already, why do you have to be weird about this.”
“because i like seeing you squirm,” he smiles before pushing back from you. “if you don’t need anything else i’m gonna go check on something in the back.”
“take your time,” you mumble. you busy yourself with something on your phone and almost miss the plate that cheol slides in front of you. you look up to see him with hopeful eyes, and then you look down to find out he’s giving you a piece of pie. “what’s this?”
“cherry pie.”
“i didn’t ask for pie,” you say, and he rolls his eyes.
“but i’m giving it to you. you could say thanks.”
“what if i don’t like cherries?”
“tough!” he replies. “i’m not leaving you alone until you take a bite.”
“what if i’m allergic?” you try testing him further, squinting at him. he squints back before he replies, watching you take your first bite.
“then i’ll administer mouth to mouth,” he retorts, making you almost choke.
“that’s not how you stop an allergic reaction,” you cough out, and cheol watches on amused.
“you want some water?”
“no, i need you ten feet away from me,” you laugh nervously. “i’ll take the check, i should go anyway.”
“but you didn’t finish the pie,” he pouts, and you feel something in your chest tighten. you settle back on the stool and sigh, taking another bite. “so?”
“it’s really good,” you mumble, some crumbs falling to your lips. cheol motions for you to wipe your mouth and, embarrassed, you grab a napkin. “but seriously. you can give me the check, i’ll go ahead and pay and you can go back to doing whatever diner man things you do.”
“i don’t have any diner man things to do right now,” he shrugs. “the check can wait.”
“why do you like messing with me so much?”
“everybody needs a hobby,” cheol smiles. “what do you like to do? throw flaming darts at a picture of me?”
“fascinating that you think i put that much emotion into how i feel about you,” you reply, and cheol mimics getting stabbed in the chest.
“damn, city girl, that hurts,” he hisses.
“sorry, that was mean,” you backtrack. “i just. i don’t know how to handle you.”
“you can handle me however you want,” he nods. “i can take it.”
“good to know,” you mumble out, focusing on the pie. “thanks for this.”
“you’re welcome,” cheol smirks, watching you intently. “i’ve heard they pair well together. kinda like you and me. the coffee is bitter, like you,” cheol teases, “and the pie is sweet, like me.”
“i’m gonna vomit.”
“not on my counter,” cheol replies with a laugh, and you glare at him as you reach for your wallet. you hand your card over to him and he pretends to swipe it at the register. “should i make fake beeping noises to sell it or will you just let me give you this for free without a fight?”
“you can’t turn a profit if you keep giving people free food you know,” you scold. “not a good business plan.”
“i only do it for you,” he shrugs. “so i think i’m fine. come back whenever want, city girl. i’ll take care of you.”
-
one of the benefits of being home is seeing all of the friends you’ve missed while you were in the city. you’ve missed your movie nights with vernon and seungkwan specifically, so when vernon calls asking what your friday night plans are you’re thrilled to tell him you’re not busy. within minutes of showing up at his house you’re settled on the ginormous bean bag chair you claimed as yours several years ago. the boys are on the couch bickering over which movie to watch, but knowing vernon, he’ll probably have the final say regardless. you don’t care what you watch, you’re just happy to be here.
“y/n, help,” seungkwan whines. “tell vernon i don’t want to watch cars.”
“it’s his house kwan,” you reply. “if he wants to binge all the cars movies then i’m afraid that’s what we’re doing tonight.”
“and this is why y/n is my favorite friend,” vernon says with a finger pointed in seungkwan’s face. he rolls his eyes and moves vernon’s hand before fighting back.
“if we’re watching cars then i need a drink,” he grumbles, and vernon reminds him that he keeps the minifridge stocked with beer just for seungkwan. he asks if you want one but you decline, too comfortable curled up on the bean bag to sit up just so you can drink.
“you gonna make it through the movie or are you gonna fall asleep on us?” vernon asks you with a smile. you hum as you think about it.
“depends,” you say with a stretch. “are we eating? food would wake me up.”
“yeah, it’s on its way,” vernon replies and you nod, nuzzling back into the bean bag chair so you can see the screen better.
“ok,” seungkwan starts as he sits back down, “i will watch this movie, maybe the second one, but i am not watching the third. and vernon i swear to god if you make me listen to life is a highway in that disgusting car of yours-”
seungkwan is cut off by the sound of the doorbell ringing, and you assume vernon, the one who lives here, will get up to check. you peek over at him and instead see both of the boys staring at you expectantly.
“what?”
“go get the door,” vernon says. “that’s our food.”
“you get it! this is your house!”
“you’re closer to the stairs,” vernon replies. “you know the rules.”
you groan loudly as you get up, and continue groaning as you stomp up the stairs, and you make sure your footsteps are loud and obnoxious as you walk to the front door to make the boys very aware of how annoyed you are. you pull the front door open just as the bell rings again, and you almost shriek when you see who’s on the other side.
“y/n,” seungcheol smiles. “fancy seeing you here.”
“what the hell?” you ask in disbelief.
“you’re not happy to see me?” he pouts, readjusting the bags of food in his arms. “bummer.”
“i-what?”
“vernon ordered food, didn’t he?” cheol asks, and you nod. “i’m delivering the food. what about this is hard for you to understand?”
“none of it i guess,” you mumble, stepping aside to let him in. “do you need help carrying it?”
“nope, just show me where to go,” cheol says as he waits for you to close the door. you start walking him toward the basement and then stop, making cheol almost run into you. “whoa city girl, warn me next time.”
“s-sorry,” you stutter, “um, i was just gonna say the stairs are kinda narrow, so seriously, give me something to carry. it’ll be easier.”
“if you insist,” cheol sighs, nodding to the bags on top. “take those. if we’re going down stairs they might fall.” you take the bags, but don’t move further. cheol gives you a look and asks, “you forget where you’re going?”
“why are you here?”
“told you,” he smiles. “i’m making a delivery.”
“but the diner, who’s watching it?”
“it’s late, diner’s closed,” he explains. “i’m doing this and then going home.”
“and you always do the deliveries yourself?” you question, finally walking back toward the basement.
“if they tip well,” he jokes. “and i’d heard you would be here, so that’s an added bonus.”
“you invited him?” you ask vernon as soon as you’re back downstairs. he turns to look at you and smiles when he sees cheol trailing behind you.
“i ordered food from him, yeah,” vernon says. “it’s good to support small businesses, y/n.”
“yeah, y/n,” cheol mimics. you try to help him place the food on vernon’s shoddy table so you and the boys can eat, but he insists, “i got it, sweet thing, you can sit down-”
“no, i’m trying to help so you can leave-”
“seriously, i’m good-”
amidst your bickering you accidentally knock into cheol, making the last part of the order topple over onto the floor. you gasp as you watch the drinks spill all over vernon’s rug, and you reach for the paper towels before kneeling down to clean the mess.
“vernon, i’m so sorry,” you say quickly, trying to dab everything up. you see him and seungkwan spring into action out of the corner of your eye, kwan looking for a real towel and vernon in search of something to handle the stickiness. that leaves you and cheol, who kneels in front of you to help in the meantime.
“you don’t know when to stop,” he mumbles as he frustratedly tears off some paper towels. you stop moving and glare at him as you ask, “what?”
“i said you don’t know when to stop,” cheol repeats, taking the dirty towels to the trash. “you don’t like people helping you. you’re too stubborn.”
“first i’m spoiled, now i’m stubborn?” you ask, still kneeling on the ground. cheol’s standing over you, returning your harsh stare, and for a moment your mind flashes to a very different situation with cheol looking down at you on your knees. “i hate you.”
“you keep telling yourself that,” cheol scoffs, walking away. “does vernon keep soap down here?”
“i mean it,” you say as you stand and follow him wandering around.
“if you hate me then why do you find a reason to see me every day?” cheol asks, spinning around to face you. “you’re either in my diner or in some kind of situation where you need my help-”
“your help?” you spit back. “i’ve never asked for your help.”
“moving your desk? feeding you? cleaning up a mess you made?” he lists off.
“oh you’re so full of yourself,” you mock.
“is that why i feel like i catch you staring at me whenever you think i’m not lookin?” he asks, and you back down. “no, tell me. am i imagining that? or am i right, are you as obsessed with me as i am with you?”
“you, what?” you whisper, watching cheol intently as he calms himself down.
“nothing. forget it,” he mumbles as he turns to leave. “enjoy the food.”
-
with your parents coming home, there was less time for you to hang around town and risk running into cheol. that’s a good thing, because you don’t think you could face him again after what happened in vernon’s basement. it was hard enough explaining to him and seungkwan what went down without them exchanging knowing glances, so you’re sure whatever feelings you have and don’t understand are just as obvious to cheol.
cheol is glad for the break too, but he finds himself hopeful at the sound of each bell, looking up to see if it’s you coming through the door or not. yes, you’re annoying. yes, you made him mad the other day. but he still wants to explore whatever’s happening between you. he knows he can be hard to read sometimes, and you’re the first person in maybe years that he’s felt this way towards. so, in the hopes of bettering himself, cheol buys a self help book. he usually turns to books when he needs a break from reality, either escaping to a fantasy world to neglect the problems in his own or buying a book that will help him with his business. it’s not out of the ordinary to find him reading behind the counter when it’s slow, but he forgets that the eyes everywhere in town make it hard to keep anything a secret.
people have noticed you suddenly stopped going to the diner, and they’ve seen cheol’s face fall every time someone other than you walks in. hoshi especially is keen to what’s going on, so during his next visit he comes in with a purpose.
“hey hosh,” cheol greets without looking up from his book. “sit anywhere, be with you in a minute.”
“sure,” hoshi nods, taking his usual spot at the counter. he lets cheol read a second longer before asking, “whatcha got there?”
“a book, you seen one before?” cheol asks as he joins hoshi further down the bar. “what can i get you?”
“i’ve seen a book before,” hoshi replies seriously. “read one? no. and i would like your finest hamburger, please. extra ketchup.”
“not sure why i even ask anymore,” cheol chuckles, writing the ticket anyway. “you always order the same thing.”
“i like what i like,” hoshi shrugs.
“yes you do,” cheol nods. “it’ll be out soon.”
“gives you more time to read, hm?”
“what? sure,” cheol agrees, scooting the book farther from hoshi so he can’t see what it is.
“whatcha reading?” he asks anyway, and cheol clears his throat, ready to lie. “something about love?”
“what?” cheol whips his head up, embarrassment in his eyes.
“there’s a big ole heart at the start of that chapter, are you reading a romance? tell me about it,” hoshi says as he rests his hands on his fists, watching cheol expectantly.
“it’s um, it’s not about love.”
“no?”
“well, not like that,” he explains. “it’s, um...you have to swear not to repeat this.”
“what’s in it for me?”
“i’ll stop serving you,” cheol warns.
“noted, your secret is safe,” hoshi agrees. “so what is it?”
“it’s a book about relationships, mostly. teaches you how to be in love better,” cheol replies, making hoshi smile.
“and who’s the lucky lady?” he asks, causing cheol to blush.
“let me go check on your food, man.”
“whoever it is i wish you a very happy life together!”
-
you’re able to last well over a week without visiting the diner. it’s been nice not running into cheol, because you haven’t experienced that weird feeling that comes with being in his presence. what’s even weirder though is the new thing you might be feeling. you think you miss him, and you really want to apologize for being such a problem before.
one saturday you’re up early, and you find yourself pacing back and forth outside the diner. it’s so early the diner isn’t even open yet, but you still trudge to the door and knock quietly, knowing if you don’t address it now you never will.
you knocked softly enough you hoped cheol wouldn’t be able to hear, but before you can run away you see his broad chest through the blinds. you hear the door unlock, followed by the bell tingling as cheol opens the door. he looks you up and down then grunts, “we’re closed.”
“but i want to come in.”
“you think you’re special, city girl?” he asks with the hint of a smile.
“i’m a paying customer, you really gonna turn me away?” you reply, and for a moment you’re afraid he’ll actually tell you to leave.
“i’d never turn you away,” he says at last, stepping to the side so you can come in. “take a seat, i just made a pot of coffee.”
“it’s like you knew i was coming,” you smile before melting into a yawn. cheol watches you fondly, placing a menu at your usual seat. “i don’t need a menu.”
“what do you want?” he asks while he makes your coffee.
“um, i uh, i wanted to say i’m sorry?” you answer, awkwardly standing next to the stool.
“you sure about that?” cheol asks as he hands you the mug. your fingers brush, and you find the confidence to look him in the eyes as you try again.
“i’m aware i can be a little hard to get along with,” you try again. “you’re really nice. and i wasn’t always appreciative of that. so i’m sorry.”
“that’s all?”
“huh?” you ask, cheeks warming in embarrassment. “i said i’m sorry-”
“i mean, are you done with your apology?” cheol corrects himself, and you nod. “good. because it wasn’t necessary.”
“it wasn’t?”
“no,” he shakes his head. “i like that you’re a little bratty.”
“oh my god,” you roll your eyes, taking a sip of the coffee to avoid saying something ‘bratty’ in response.
“sorry,” he smiles. “i should’ve said i like you just the way you are, city girl. but thanks for smoothing things over.”
“good,” you nod. “now let me pay for the coffee.”
“nope,” cheol shakes his head. “first cup of the day is always free.”
“you’re a liar,” you accuse him.
“and you’re pretty,” he counters, and you choke on your next sip slightly. “what? you disagree?”
“just wasn’t expecting that,” you say as you wipe your face. “can i get a napkin please?”
“you wanna order too?” he asks as he grabs a napkin for you. “want me to tuck this in your collar?”
“see, i thought we had reconciled and now here you are saying something insufferable again.”
“i’m good at that, aren’t i?” he smiles, passing you the napkin. “so are you staying for a while? you want banana pancakes?”
“please.”
you watch on as cheol finishes opening the diner, getting comfortable enough at your seat that you pull out a book and start reading while you wait for your food. you’re there long enough for other customers to start trickling in, and you’re too immersed in your book to hear the murmurs about you being there so early. what everyone assumes is that you just spent the night there, so the rumors that the diner owner finally found a special someone are traveling through town at the speed of light. you and cheol are both oblivious, so when he brings you your food before serving anyone else there’s several sets of eyes watching the exchange.
“what are you reading?” he asks, wiping off a set of utensils for you as he waits for your response.
“ah, it’s this book my coworker recommended,” you explain, then correct yourself. “ex-coworker, i guess. keep forgetting i don’t work there anymore.”
“you wanna talk about it?” cheol asks, helping someone else at the counter without pulling his attention from you. you shake your head, and he asks a different question, “tell me about the book then.”
he listens intently as you describe the plot, mentioning that it’s supposed to be a love story and you don’t usually like those. cheol realizes this is the most he’s ever heard you talk, and he briefly thinks about how easy it would be to sit and listen to you all day. he lets you finish before he excuses himself to make rounds through the diner, and you catch your gaze following him wherever he goes. he smirks to himself when he sees you staring, and he may or may not puff out his chest a little just to give you something to look at.
it doesn’t take you long to finish your food, and cheol keeps the coffee coming. it’s easy for you to lose track of time, and before you know it cheol is stopping in front of you with a deep sigh. you look around and notice the diner is exceptionally empty, and cheol looks exhausted.
“you ok?”
“fine,” he nods, “just a long morning.”
“what time is it?” you ask, searching for your phone.
“almost noon,” he replies, and you can feel your stomach growl. you hope cheol didn’t hear, but of course he did. “you hungry, sweet thing?”
“no, i should really go-”
“stay right there,” he says without giving you a chance to leave. he comes back with a sandwich and fries, and you start to protest when he says, “chill out, this was a pickup order no one ever came for.”
“but i don’t wanna be a bother-”
“y/n,” he says sternly, silencing you quickly. he never calls you by your name. “you’re fine. i like the company.”
“well i’ll only keep you company if you take a break and eat with me,” you conclude, and cheol has to hide his smile as he wipes his hands off.
“let me go grab a plate, we can share.”
when he comes back, you take the empty plate and slide more than half of the fries onto it followed by the bigger slice of the sandwich. cheol tries to complain, reaching for your plate so you’ll end up with the fuller meal, but you push your body weight into him to keep him away.
“cute,” he hums, letting you win. “i am stronger than you, you know.”
“more reason for you to get the bigger plate,” you say as you pop a fry into your mouth. “now eat.”
“so bossy,” he shakes his head as he obeys regardless. then, with a mouthful of sandwich, he asks, “how do you like being home?”
“eh,” you shrug. “it was nice at first because it had been so long, but now i’m kind of antsy.”
“why? missing the city too much?” cheol asks, sliding a napkin to you and motioning to the edge of your mouth. he wants to wipe the mustard off for you, but he doesn’t think that would be a good idea.
“a little,” you admit. “i miss my friends-”
“you have friends here,” cheol points out.
“i miss having things to do,” you add on. “i still don’t have a job.”
“hey, i could always use a dishwasher,” cheol teases, and you push his arm that keeps brushing against yours. “i get it though. this town’s just too small for you city girl.”
“what’s your story?” you say next, catching him off guard. to clarify, you add, “i mean, growing up you weren’t here. visiting during college i never saw you. then all of a sudden your diner is the hottest spot in town. how’d that happen?”
“you sure you never saw me before you came into the diner?” cheol asks, and you do have to think about it for a second.
“no,” you conclude, shaking your head. “i would’ve remembered your face.”
“i’ll take that as a compliment.”
“you should,” you reply, quirking an eyebrow at cheol when he looks at you surprised. “so when did you move here? how’d you start the diner?”
“my dad grew up here,” he begins. “actually, i think we went to the same university. i was talking to vernon about it and i was a couple years ahead of you, but i was there. i always dreamt of having my own business, i just didn’t know what it would look like. at first i tried setting up a cafe downtown-”
“who’s the city girl now?” you joke, and cheol pinches your arm before continuing.
“but i failed before i even started. i lost so much money i had to move back in with my dad, and he was thinking about moving back here. so i started looking at places, and planned out the diner,” cheol says with a sweep of his hand. “honestly, i’ve always been afraid of the city. so i think it’s great that you seem to thrive so much there. takes a very special kind of person.”
“i’ll take that as a compliment,” you mimic, and cheol smiles.
“you should.”
“i can’t believe this is so new though,” you say as you look around. “it feels like it’s been here forever. you’ve done a good job making this feel like home, even if it wasn’t part of me growing up here. i come in and i just feel..”
“feel what?” cheol asks, watching you intently, slowly inching closer.
“i feel safe,” you say quietly. “being here, in this town, usually gives me so much anxiety. but i come in here and...all of that goes away.”
“that’s good to hear,” cheol smiles, tentatively reaching for your hand on the counter. he places his larger, callused hand on yours and squeezes, holding your gaze as he says, “you look comfortable here.”
“it’s because of you,” you admit, and if cheol weren’t so close he would’ve missed it. you don’t elaborate, and cheol thinks things may go further, but it’s like he watches you realize what’s going on in real time. “um, i mean, you’ve worked so hard. to make this place nice, to fit in with everything else in the town. it’s um, because of you that everyone likes this place so much.”
“uh huh,” he nods, tongue in his cheek as he watches you pull away. he would try to stop you, but a quick glance at the clock on the wall tells him it’s about to be lunch rush. he won’t be able to talk to you again for another couple hours anyway, so he lets you go, even though he desperately wants to know what would’ve happened if you’d sat there a little longer.
“um, ok, so, thanks for the food,” you stammer out, making sure you have all of your things. “i really need to go now. you’ll need this stool soon.”
“sure,” cheol agrees, watching you rush toward the door. “hey!” he calls, and you turn with a frazzled look in your eyes. “what are you doin tomorrow?”
“um, nothing, probably,” you reply. “i’ll be here at some point for coffee.”
“ok,” cheol hums. “see you later then.”
-
the next day, a saturday, cheol’s busiest day, there’s a knock at your door around dinner time. you ended up grabbing coffee with vernon at the bakery this morning, so there was no need for a diner visit today. that’s why you’re shocked when you open the door to see a well dressed cheol with a nervous glint in his eyes.
“hey, city girl,” he smirks. “you free for dinner?”
“am i..what?”
“you never came by the diner today,” he pouts. “so i had to make a home visit. now come on, let’s go eat.”
“um, ok, i just, let me change first?” you ask, and cheol nods.
“i’ll be here,” he says, content to wait on your porch as you rush back inside to make yourself presentable. you go for something casual, because even though he had on a white dress shirt he was still wearing his signature baseball cap and walmart jeans. he looked incredible, but that was not what you needed to focus on right now. once you’re satisfied with your look, you sneak out the back door near your room and walk up on an unsuspecting cheol kicking rocks in your front yard. his head lifts at the sound of footsteps, and a proud smile graces his features as he says breathlessly, “you look beautiful.”
“i didn’t do anything special,” you try to downplay, but he shakes his head.
“nope, don’t do that,” he scolds. “you look beautiful. end of discussion.”
“well thank you,” you mumble, and cheol extends his hand for you to take. you shyly lace your fingers in his, and he pulls you forward so he can wrap a hand around your waist. you let out a quiet ‘oh’ as you place your hands on his chest to steady yourself, and when you look up to find cheol staring at your lips you don’t know what else to do other than lean forward and leave a delicate kiss on his. you pull back more nervous than you were before, but cheol looks pleased.
“i was just gonna say your lip gloss was smudged,” cheol says cockily. “but that was nice too.”
“oh then let me take it back,” you joke, and cheol nods, diving back in to kiss you again. “that’s not what i meant-”
“what, you want that one back too?” he asks with a playful look in his eyes.
“no, we’re good,” you laugh nervously as he starts leading you down the path from your house. “what are you up to?”
“i like you,” he says like it’s obvious. “so we’re on a date. we just kissed, remember? you were there.”
“i was, but, i mean, why?”
“why do i like you?” he asks, “or why did we kiss? because you started that.”
“ok, i’ll try again,” you groan. “why now? why not ask sooner?”
“i didn’t think you liked me back,” cheol replies with a shrug. “but after you spent the day mooning at me in the diner i was sure.”
“to be fair i wasn’t sure i liked you until i started mooning at you yesterday either,” you admit.
“i’m glad we’re here now,” cheol smiles, squeezing your hand as you see the diner in the distance. “hope it’s okay for us to eat here?”
“sure,” you shrug. “i hear it’s the best food in town.”
“wait until you’ve tried the place upstairs,” cheol says mysteriously, and you watch as he unlocks the diner and tells you to go toward the hallway that leads to his apartment.
“you closed the diner for this?” you ask, and he blushes.
“i didn’t want anyone to bother us,” he replies shyly. “plus i didn’t want my place to smell like fries when i invite you over for the first time.”
“you know you could invest in an air freshener,” you tease, letting cheol open his apartment and lead you inside. the sight in front of you takes your breath away and quells whatever smart remark you were about to make. “cheol, oh my god.”
“is it too much?” he questions, tsking as he guides you with his hand at the small of your back. you’re silent, taking it all in, noticing the fresh flowers on the table amongst the plates of food. cheol has made what looks like homemade pasta, and you think you could cry. no one has ever done something so nice for you before, and you turn to cheol to tell him exactly that, but he looks worried. “it’s too much.”
“no, cheol, i can’t believe you did this for me,” you say in disbelief. “i love it.”
“you do?” he perks up, and you assure him everything is great. “here, take a seat,” he pulls a chair out for you and hands you your napkin before grabbing a bottle of wine. “do you like red wine?”
“no,” you shake your head, and cheol laughs. “but i’ll have some tonight.”
“tried to make everything perfect,” he sighs, pouring you a small glass that you take gratefully. “guess i’ll try harder next time.”
“next time?” you question, and cheol hums. you take a sip of the wine before adding, “next time i’ll have to cook for you.”
“i’ll hold you to that,” cheol says as he finally sits down across from you. you both laugh as you notice the flowers obstruct your view, and cheol quickly moves the vase, telling you that the flowers are yours to take home later.
“thank you,” you say for the first time tonight. “thank you for all of this.”
“anything to make you feel more at home, city girl,” he says. “now try the pasta.”
you tentatively try a piece, noting that the freshness makes it easier to fork it. you watch cheol as you take the bite, and it’s embarrassing how quickly you melt at the taste. you let out a content sigh, verging on the kind of moan that only comes out when you eat the most delicious piece of food you’ve ever had. cheol couldn’t be happier, and you blush when you notice how closely he’s been watching you.
“how did you learn to cook so well?” you ask with a whine. “it’s not fair.”
“not fair?” cheol laughs, and you nod as you try to get as much pasta in your mouth as possible. “don’t hurt yourself.”
“could you leave us alone please?” you ask, a spot of pasta sauce on your chin. unlike yesterday at the diner, cheol doesn’t back down from reaching across the table to swipe the spot away with his thumb. before he can stop himself he licks it off, meeting your eyes shyly.
“sorry,” he clears his throat, finally picking up his own fork.
“you never answered my question,” you try and change the subject. “you study in italy or something?”
“yeah, actually,” cheol replies. when he sees how confused you look he smiles before explaining, “i had a study abroad in italy. it was before i knew i wanted my own cafe or diner or anything, but one of the excursions for the trip was a pasta making class. guess it stuck.”
“okay now i’m jealous,” you tell him. “of you, for going to italy. but then of anybody else who’s ever had your pasta. this is incredible.”
“you’re the only one,” cheol says nonchalantly.
“why are you so nice to me?” you ask softly, and cheol reaches for your hand across the table. he absentmindedly rubs his thumb over your knuckles as he explains.
“because i like you?” he chuckles. “i already told you that.”
“yeah, but why?” you ask, leaning closer. “why me?”
“i could ask you the same thing,” he replies, but the way you’re staring at him pushes him to answer. “you remember when you came into the diner a couple weeks ago?” you nod, and he continues. “you remember how you were a little rude?”
“if i was rude it was only because you started it,” you grumble, and cheol laughs.
“that’s why i like you,” he says, “you were the first person to take my attitude and give it right back to me.”
“well i’m glad you finally met your match,” you tease. “now can i have my hand back? i want some of that garlic bread.”
“yes ma’am,” he lets go with a final squeeze. he hands you the basket before reaching for the wine, asking, “do you want some more?”
“honestly? no,” you shake your head. “i’m fine with water.”
“i’d offer you something else, but all i have is wine, beer, and a ginger ale that’s been open for two weeks,” cheol tells you.
“actually i’ll take a beer,” you say, and cheol stares at you with a new look in his eyes. “what, weirdo?”
“careful, you might make me say the l word.”
“lasagna?” you joke, and he rolls his eyes as he gets you a beer. he gets one for himself, and you cheers once he’s sitting back down. he watches you take a sip, admiring the way your lips wrap around the bottle, and then you both go back to eating. talking to cheol is easy, you notice. this is a first date but it doesn’t feel like it, and as the night goes on you get this feeling of dread in your gut that you’ll have to leave at some point.
“why do you keep looking at the clock?” cheol asks nervously, a smile on his lips to hide the fact that he’s worried you’re bored or ready to go. “you need to leave?”
“no, no, the opposite,” you assure him. “you fed me the best meal of my life, i’ve now had a glass of wine and two beers, so i’m getting tired..but i don’t think i could leave even if i wanted to.”
“you full?” he asks, standing to clear the table. “because i made dessert too.”
“are you gonna force me to eat cherry pie again?” you ask as you try to help him clean. everything you pick up he just takes from your hands, so instead you grab the empty beer bottles and search for his recycling.
“no, but i made a tiramisu-”
“you made tiramisu?!” you ask, whirling around to see a confused cheol. he nods like it’s nothing, and you groan as you say, “i didn’t think the man of my dreams existed, and yet here you are.”
“i’m the man of your dreams?” he asks, the confusion gone as he sidles up to you to wrap his hands around your waist. “this is great news.”
“hm, suddenly i need to go,” you say as you try to step back, but cheol’s grip tightens and you think you hear the slightest growl come from deep within his chest.
“no.”
“no?”
“no,” cheol confirms, thumbs slipping under your shirt to rub circles onto your skin. “you have to at least try the tiramisu before you go.”
“what if it makes me want to stay even longer?” you ask, and cheol leans in to give you a delicate kiss. without pulling far from your lips, he whispers, “then you stay longer.”
you let your eyes linger on his for a moment before you connect your lips again, your hands moving from their awkward spot on his chest to wrap tightly around his neck. one hand steadies you, and the other tangles into the hair at the nape of his neck that just peeks out from beneath the cap on his head. you groan into his mouth and he can tell it’s a sound of frustration, so cheol pulls back to ask what’s wrong.
“do you ever take your hat off?” you ask him.
“what?”
“take it off,” you command, and you wait for cheol to loosen his grip on you to reach up and remove his hat. you keep watching as he ruffles his hair, letting down the curls you knew were hiding beneath. “do you keep those hidden from the world because you know it makes you hotter?”
“no, i work in food service, keeps my hair out of people’s lunch,” he says, pulling a shy smile from you.
“forget i called you hot then.”
“never,” he replies, leaning back down to kiss you. he pulls one of your hands from his neck and places it on his full head of curls, which you take as a sign to play with and tug at his hair as much as you please. cheol deepens the kiss, his tongue darting out to meet yours, and you unintentionally pull his hair harder. he moans into your mouth and you feel yourself shiver, but you pull back for some reason. cheol really growls this time, asking in a low voice, “where ya goin, sweet thing?”
“mind your business,” you scoff as you kneel in front of him, your hands finding the waistband of his jeans. you look up at him and ask, “is this okay?”
“more than okay,” he groans, hands lacing through your hair now. he watches on with hooded eyes as you unbutton his jeans and pull them down just below his ass, slowly tracing over the bulge in his boxers next. you’re mesmerized by the size of it and you’re still not face to face with his cock, and cheol calling your name pulls your attention back in. “having fun?”
“sh,” you hush him, tracing his outline one more time before pulling at his waistband to let it snap against his skin. he hisses and the grip on your hair tightens, his breath quickening above you.
“baby, you’re killing me,” he whispers, so you glare at him as you pull his boxers down, almost getting hit by his boner when it’s finally set free. you’re quick to grab his shaft, spitting on the tip as you hold eye contact with cheol. he lets out a shaky breath, and he tries to burn this moment into the back of his eyelids so he never forgets the way you look on your knees ready to swallow his cock. you pump him a few times, licking at his tip while you hype yourself up to take him into your mouth.
“you know, i think i’m getting tired,” you tease, trying to push cheol’s buttons. “think i might just head out.”
“you talk a lot,” cheol mumbles. “i’ve got something that could shut you up.”
“oh, you mean this?” you ask, picking up the pace of your hand stroking him until you think he can’t take it anymore. “what if i don’t want to?”
“then i won’t return the favor,” cheol challenges you. he watches, pleased, as you roll your eyes but still lean forward to wrap your lips around his tip anyway. he keeps watching as you inch further down his cock, taking him like it’s nothing. he doesn’t have to worry that he won’t fit, because you keep going until your nose is pressed against his skin. you surprise him by swallowing around him once, then twice, and he uses the grip on your hair to pull you off completely. “shit, baby, you really are trying to kill me.”
“excuse me, i’m doing some of my best work down here,” you say as you wipe the saliva off your chin. “now shut up and let me suck your cock.”
cheol lets you get back to work, but he doesn’t stay quiet. he lets himself moan freely, groaning as he tries to get you closer to him than you already are. every time you swallow around him he cries out, and you can feel yourself getting wetter. you can tell he’s trying to let you lead, his hold on the back of your head strong but reserved. he bucks his hips slightly each time you pull back and suck on his tip, but you want more. you hollow your cheeks and pick up your pace, tears stinging at your eyes as you gag around his cock. cheol has been talking you through it too, telling you how good you’re doing, how sexy you look, how good you’re making him feel. you would be embarrassed at how cock drunk you are right now, tears in your eyes and spit dribbling past your lips, but you’re addicted to the weight of cheol on your tongue and the way his strong hands tug on your hair. you have to pull back to catch your breath, a string of spit connecting your lips to his tip. as you sit back on your calves, cheol takes his cock in his hand, swiping at the spit before smearing it over his tip. he strokes himself lazily as he lets you catch your breath, and when you try to knock his hand out of the way he doesn’t let you get back to work.
“move,” you say sternly. “i’m almost done.”
“yeah, so am i,” cheol laughs. “you’re gonna make me come, city girl.”
“good,” you say proudly, “let me taste it.”
“you’re evil,” he groans, guiding his tip back to you awaiting mouth. he sighs happily when you swallow around him again, and he tentatively thrusts forward to test the waters. when you catch his eye and nod, he knows it’s okay to try again, picking up the pace so he can fuck your mouth. he’s close, and if you wanted a taste that’s what he’ll give you. “i’m about to come baby, you ready?” you moan around him and the vibration sends him over the edge, his release shooting down your throat. it’s sinful the way your eyes roll back as you swallow around him, and cheol thinks in that moment you are the most perfect woman to ever exist. he helps you carefully pull yourself off his cock, and he shudders when the cold air hits him. “you okay, beautiful?”
“all good,” you nod, voice a little hoarse. “i’m tired though.”
“too tired for me to eat you out?”
“in the morning maybe?” you ask, yawning.
“yeah?” cheol asks as he helps you up, and you nod. “you wanna stay the night?”
“can i?” you ask, realizing you didn’t know if he wanted you there or not. “i mean, is that alright?”
“yeah, of course,” cheol says quickly. “i’ll get you some clothes. and water. and a toothbrush.”
“you’re too sweet,” you say shyly, taking the flannel and boxers that he offers you. he leads you to the bathroom where he finds a clean toothbrush, and he disappears while you change so he can get you a glass of water. when he returns he finds you snooping in his medicine cabinet, his lotion on your hands and his fancy floss wrapped around your fingers. “oops?”
“no, make yourself at home,” cheol laughs, handing you the cool glass. “what’s mine is yours.”
“i’m sorry, i got too comfortable,” you say. “sorry. thanks for the water.”
“thanks for the head,” cheol smirks, and you push him slightly as you easily finish the glass. “you want more?”
“no, i’d have to get up in the middle of the night to pee,” you complain. “can i, um, do you mind? if i go to bed?”
“please, baby, you don’t have to ask,” he says, carefully leading you to his room. “i’m gonna wash up, be back in a minute.”
you carefully pull down the blankets on his bed, simultaneously feeling at home yet nervous. you feel comfortable around cheol, sure, but this still feels like a lot all at once. cheol walks in on you contemplating this dilemma that’s only in your head, and he asks with a smirk, “you gonna stare at the bed all night or you gonna get in?”
“sorry,” you mumble, scampering to get under the covers.
“stop apologizing,” he says as he walks to the other side of the bed. “you look cute in my clothes by the way.”
“you look cute without your hat on,” you counter, and you’re proud to see a slight blush on his cheeks as he lays down next to you, mimicking your posture. he lays facing you with an arm under the pillow, and you suddenly feel overwhelmed. “cheol?”
“yeah?”
“is this too much?”
“what?” he asks, the happy look in his eyes faltering slightly.
“me spending the night. it’s our first date,” you whisper, suddenly afraid that speaking too loud will make your worries bigger.
“i don’t mind,” cheol says, pulling for your free hand beneath the covers. “i am very happy to have you here.”
“i’m happy to be here,” you say quietly, and cheol looks at you with an appraising look.
“you sure about that?”
“i am,” you assure him. “i had an amazing night. i’m glad i could do something nice for you after all that you’ve done for me. but...i’m scared.”
“scared? why?”
“i like you,” you whisper. “i like you a lot. but i’m afraid of what the town will say. i’m afraid i like you too much, and i’m afraid of leaving.”
“then don’t leave,” he says simply. “and who cares what the town thinks?”
“no, like what if i get another job? what if i have to leave?” you ask, and cheol thinks for a moment before he pulls you closer, burying your head in his chest. he kisses the top of your head and whispers against your forehead, “then we’ll talk about it. for now just go to sleep.”
-
you wake up early the next morning, light trickling in through the curtains of cheol’s room. you feel more rested than you’ve been in months, maybe years. cheol is still wrapped around you from the night before, and you chuckle when you see how his lips stay pouted as he snores slightly. you watch him a little longer, pushing a stray curl out of his face, and he softly wakes up. he sees you staring down at him and he smiles, taking your hand and kissing your palm before laying it back on his cheek.
“morning, sweet thing.”
“morning, handsome.”
“how long have you been up?” he yawns.
“not long.”
“you been staring at me the whole time?”
“mind your business.”
“you hungry?”
“starved,” you reply, sitting up to stretch. “and i need coffee. bad.”
“good stuff’s downstairs,” cheol mumbles, nuzzling back into his pillow. you’re about to ask where when you look down and see he’s back asleep, so you lean down to kiss his cheek before getting up. you slide on some slippers, shuffling downstairs to the diner to make coffee. you forget to check the time though, because the quiet doesn’t necessarily mean that the diner is closed. when you appear in the doorway, obviously clad in cheol’s clothes, and the ten or so customers in the diner turn to stare at you, your heart drops as you scurry back up to cheol’s apartment. you find him in the kitchen scratching his ass, and he turns to say, “where the hell did you go?”
“you said the coffee was downstairs!” you half scream, and realization dawns on him. he’s shocked for a moment, then tries not to laugh.
“how many people saw your walk of shame?” he asks, failing to hide his smirk.
“enough,” you groan as you fling yourself into his arms. “so i’m sure everyone will know by the end of the day, and it won’t just be our business, and if i ever do leave then everyone will blame me for us breaking up, and-”
“whoa, whoa, slow down,” cheol backtracks, holding you at arms length. “you’re freaking out over nothing.”
“but-”
“no! enjoy this!” cheol says, kissing you on both cheeks. “enjoy this for as long as you can, even if you have to leave. but like i said last night, we’ll talk about that if we get there. i just want to date you and see how much fun that can be. it’s nobody’s business but our own.”
“but everyone downstairs saw me in your clothes,” you whine.
“then they’ll know how nice your legs are.”
“i’m being serious,” you push him. “it was embarrassing.”
“would coffee and tiramisu make it better?”
“throw in some banana pancakes and i might just forget it ever happened.”
“deal.”

heads up: mentions of wearing contacts
seungcheol is standing outside of the bathroom when you step out, arms folded across his chest. "who hurt you and what did they say."
it isn't a question, and you're already confused by how suddenly imposing he's become. you sniffle again though the tears are long gone, and he gives you a pointed look--as though your crying gives you away.
"mingyu said you left crying," he says. "who do i need to talk to?"
he's always been protective of you, standing up for you when you're too anxious to do it. but you're still confused. "cheollie, what are you talking about?"
something about him melts a little when you call him cheollie, but he takes a deep breath, squaring back up. he's not cheollie, not when he thinks something is wrong enough that you cry, and you see the way he pushes back on the urge to become all soft and tender with you. "mingyu said you were talking with jeonghan and the others when suddenly you started crying and ran out of the room."
what was he...? oh! the realization hits you all at once, and you almost laugh. "no one hurt me, cheollie."
"i know they can go a little far with their jokes sometimes," he starts to say, taking your face into his hands, "all you have to do is tell them to stop--or tell me, and i can tell them--"
"my contact slipped," you say, resting your hands over his own. "it hurt, so i teared up and booked it to the bathroom so i could fix it."
he stops entirely for a moment, staring at you. a moment later, he's just quiet as he lets out an "... oh." yet when you snort in laughter, he's already pouting. "i was worried about you! are you going to make fun of me for being worried?!"
"a little," you lean in to kiss the corner of his mouth, still giggling as you walk away from him. "gonna tell the others you're so protective you're gonna fight my contacts--"
seungcheol gasps as he rushes after you. "don't--they'll never let me live it down!"
"that's the point!"

tldr: just use face i.d.? tf? a/n: i am...delusional
“hyung?”
seungcheol didn’t look up, he typed in the password to his phone, immediately opening his messages to you, “yes, dino?”
when dino hesitated, seungcheol finally looked up. dino looked a little flustered and when seungcheol looked past his maknae’s shoulder, he saw jeonghan and joshua giggling on the other side of the practice room, trying (and failing) to be subtle about watching him and dino.
immediately sensing he was being set up, he asked again, “yes, dino?”
dino couldn’t even look seungcheol in the eye. instead he kept his eyes trained on the ground and asked, “why is it that you always type in the password on your phone? why not use face i.d.?”
seungcheol’s face instantly warmed. his eyes cut across the room to jeonghan and joshua just in time to watch them fall into a puddle of laughter. ignoring dino, he called out to them, “you guys suck!”
and with that seungcheol left. eager to see you now that practice had ended early. he was going to offer to give jeonghan a ride home on his way over to yours, but not after the shit he just pulled.
“cheollie, would you please pass me your phone? i want to change the song.”
seungcheol walked around to the other side of the kitchen island, handing it to you easily, “here, baby.”
you grabbed the phone with your spare hand, the other still stirring your dinner on the stovetop.
seungcheol bumped your hip ever so lightly, grabbing the spoon from your hand. “find the song, baby. i’ll stir.”
you smiled at him, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. you held the phone up to your face, pressing the lock button, illuminating the screen. the phone, sensing your face, immediately unlocked, no password required.
after a few seconds of searching through his music app, you’d finally found the song that had been stuck in your head at work all day, the soft melody coming gently out of the speaker on your counter.
you returned to the stove, peering into the pot. bringing a hand to rest on his back, you gently pushed him from the stove. “i’ll finish up here, cheollie. grab some bowls, will you? and if you want rice, put some instant in the microwave. i forgot to make any earlier.”
he smiled, gummy and broad, relinquishing the spoon to your capable hands. “sure thing, baby. anything for you.”

Seventeen Reaction: Your Birthday
Tumblr media
MASTERLIST
Thanks for the request anon! I hope you don’t mind, since you wanted either, I just turned it into a reaction so that way both could be included (I also feel like I’m best at this writing format lol).
Remember gifs aren’t mine! If you like them, pls click through and show their OPs some love!!!!
Warnings: None I think, let me know if I missed anything!
CHOI SEUNGCHEOL
Tumblr media
Seungcheol is the perfect boyfriend to celebrate a birthday with. He is attentive and listens so anything you mention throughout the year that you might want or  an activity you want to do- he’s going to remember. He loves to spoil you, so expect gifts throughout the day. He probably wants to spend a lot of time one on one and show you how happy he is that you’re in his life, but he also realizes you want to see your friends and family. He’ll probably plan two events. There will be a really big party for everyone in your life. He stresses over making it perfect lol. He wants you to have a good time with the people you love without any other worries. After that, he’ll want a nice dinner with just the two of you. You get to pick any restaurant you want, he’ll make it happen. Any birthday with Cheol feels like a perfect rom-com romance scene.
YOON JEONGHAN
Tumblr media
I don’t know why but something makes me absolutely positive that this man gives you as many flowers as possible on your birthday. You wake up in the morning to flowers, you come downstairs to flowers, you get into your car to flowers, you come home to more flowers, every time he sees you- a flower. “Hannie, what on earth are we supposed to do with all of these?” you ask, feeling as though your house is nearly overflowing with flowers. He’ll probably do something really cute like press some flowers from each bouquet and put them around a picture of the two of you as a gift for your next birthday:(. Each birthday with Jeonghan is just tons of flowers. He’ll do other things as well: he tries to make you a cake every year (he’s getting really good at it), he’s also into getting you nice jewelry, he’ll take you to do whatever you want to do that day. He doesn’t like planning lots in advance because he prefers to do what you’re in the mood for that day. But he’ll make it fun no matter what.
JOSHUA HONG
Tumblr media
Joshua simply does not trust his intuition enough to plan anything for your birthday on his own. Don’t get me wrong, he’ll take care of it all. But before he does, he will ask you directly what you want and what you want to do so he can give it all to you exactly how you want it. He’ll try to get you at least one gift or plan one activity that you’re not expecting so that you’ll have a little bit of a surprise, but he feels a lot better knowing that most of it is what you definitely want. Usually he likes to include a handwritten letter telling his favorite memories with you in the past year and how much you mean to him. That way with a few extras, you’ll have not only the birthday you wanted, but also some gifts from his heart to show how much he cares. He just wants you to have a good birthday.
WEN JUNHUI
Tumblr media
As always, Jun is a bit of a wild card. He’s also unsure he knows what to plan for you. But instead of asking you, he just tries different things every year. From giant parties to quiet dinners, Jun has done it all for you. It’s always exciting to see what adventures your birthday will hold this year. Since he’s done so much for your birthday, he always tries to find somewhere new. Trips, museums, festivals. One year, he even took you around town to every place you could get something for free when it’s your birthday. He’s not too big on gifts, most of his effort goes into the experiences he tries to create for you. So usually, you get one really nice, thought-out gift from him along with a day of fun.
KWON SOONYOUNG
Tumblr media
Hoshi loves birthdays. Like absolutely loves them. He gets more excited about your birthday than you lol. Hoshi is like a little kid on Christmas on your birthday. He’ll wake you up at the crack of dawn and already be yelling about how it’s your birthday. There’s no way you’re not partying. Hoshi wants you to have the most fun with all the people who care about you. So whether you go out on the town or throw a party at home, Hoshi is going to make sure you’re being celebrated. He’s BIG on gifts. Gag gifts, serious gifts, humorous gifts, sentimental gifts. He’ll do it all. You love it but usually by the end of the night, you’re wondering how on earth you’re going to out-do him for his birthday lol.
JEON WONWOO
Tumblr media
Wonwoo also doesn’t like to plan for you in case he messes up. But he truly tries his best. His go to is a nice dinner. Wonwoo knows how stressful life can be so he tries to make sure it’s a day of rest for you. He’ll make breakfast for when you wake up. He books you a spa appointment with all the extras that you could want added. One year you actually convinced him to go with you. He’ll never forgive you for the hundreds of pictures you took of him with a towel wrapped around his hair and cucumbers over his eyes. Anything that soothes you, he will make happen that day. He’ll make you your favorite warm drink, make sure any work calls are blocked, and just let you do whatever relaxes you. Then he ends it all with a very nice dinner with a nice bouquet of flowers and a sweet gift.
LEE JIHOON
Tumblr media
This nerd probably writes you a song for your birthday. It’s not his fault he’s so cheesy, that’s just one of the only ways he feels comfortable expressing his true feelings. Also because it’s him, the song is actually very beautiful and well made, not a cheesy cheap song. He literally doesn’t know how to plan a birthday. He usually depends on your friends to help. They say what they need and he makes sure it happens. He’ll add his own little touches to the party to make it a little bit his and just to know he did something for you. He’ll also stress over what to get you. This stuff really does not come easily to him. Not because he doesn’t care or because he doesn’t know you. But because no idea seems good enough. So he may need a little help with gifts and parties, but it always turns out perfect.
LEE SEOKMIN
Tumblr media
Seokmin is also super into birthdays. He loves getting to celebrate you on your day. He’s not into super big parties. He’ll probably plan a small gathering with your closest friends and family. He might even plan a day trip to the beach or somewhere for all of you. He’s the type that calls each person personally and tells them how much it would mean to both him and you if they could come celebrate your birthday :(. It results in a slew of comments from everyone in your life implying that you need to marry him. He just wants you to have fun with all the people you love on your birthday. He’s also the type to just get you one or two really nice gifts that he put a lot of thought into.
KIM MINGYU
Tumblr media
If you have a party that includes friends and family, Mingyu will make sure it’s planned for a different day. He’s a little selfish, he wants you all to himself on your actual birthday. He wants to spend every moment all over you. He’s also a big fan of lazy days on your birthday. You’ll spend most of the morning cuddling. If you want to go out, he’ll still be nearly on top of you the whole time. He’s holding your hand, hugging you from behind, sitting next to you instead of across from you in restaurants. He also doesn’t do much planning, he lets you lead the day. He’ll take you anywhere you feel like going and pay for absolutely everything. Do not even try to pull your wallet out, it’s not happening. If you so much as look at something like you want it, he’s buying it for you. He just wants to spoil you on your special day.
XU MYUNGHO
Tumblr media
He’s also a fan of more intimate gatherings for your birthday. If he plans a party it’ll just be close friends and family. He really likes taking you on trips for your birthday. Usually pretty nature spots but if you prefer something else, he’s happy to go there too. They’re very nice trips too, usually a week long, with lots of activities planned, and plenty of time to just rest. Like Mingyu, if he sees you out shopping during the trip, he’ll buy you anything you want. He’s also your personal photographer so you have plenty of nice photos to show off once you get back. When it comes to gift he cares more about sentimental type gifts. He wants something that shows he cares or something he put a lot of effort into making himself (your apartment is filled with very nice art painted by him). He just wants to show you he cares.
BOO SEUNGKWAN
Tumblr media
Also not much of a planner. He’ll let you lead the way for your birthday but he’ll hype up whatever you want to do. He also does a lot of research to make sure you get the best out of any experience you want. He does anything he can to make sure the day runs smoothly. He’s much bigger on gifts. He will shower you in gifts. He spends the whole year buying the things he knows you want just to give it all to you for your birthday. He is very intuitive when it comes to gift giving, you’re never disappointed by a gift from Seungkwan.
VERNON CHWE
Tumblr media
Also prefers for your birthday to be just you and him. And also a big fan of trips on your birthday. He also likes taking you to very unique experiences. Maybe there’s an art exhibit temporarily in town, or a festival, or a show. If he does a trip it’ll be one that he saved up for for a very long time and be a once in a lifetime experience. Your birthday is special so he wants it to be full of things you don’t usually get to do. If you do throw a party he’ll pick very interesting venue locations so that it’s still something special. His gifts will also be more of the sentimental type. And often he gets you tickets to more fun things to do. He believes spending time with you while doing his best to make you happy is the best gift he has to offer.
LEE CHAN
Tumblr media
Strangely good at planning birthdays. He’s the oldest in his family so he can be very responsible. He always knows exactly what you want and makes sure that it happens. You want a big party with all your family and friends? He’s planning for weeks to make sure it’s perfect. You want a nice dinner with you and him? He’s made reservations at the nicest place in town. You want to go on a trip? Name the place and he’ll book the tickets. You just want to hang out around town and do whatever comes up? He’s packing a backpack to make sure you guys are prepared to stay out all day. When it comes to gifts, however, you need to tell him exactly what you want. He’ll get it, but he needs guidance lol.
