I Saw It In A Dream

Idol Room was a variety show that Seventeen had continuously been going to for their comebacks. This was their third comeback in a row, and Coni and Doni (the hosts), were asking the members for tmi’s.

Dk was the first to speak up, “Yun predicted the weather today.”

Both of the hosts were visibly shocked, and some of the members laughed at their reactions.

Coni starts waving his arms and speaks directly at the camera, “No, you guys don’t understand, all week we’ve been told that it was going to be sunny. Even today! But an hour before we started filming, it suddenly started pouring! Everyone was surprised.”

“Yun has very good intuition,” Mingyu explains. “Her gut feelings are always right.”

Doni shakes his head, “I don’t believe you.”

Yun herself is watching this entire interaction go down, smiling to herself. The members' excitement for this was greatly amusing her. Luckily, the members rush to defend her.

“This other time,” Edyth says, “I was supposed to be on a rising platform for a performance. The staff always makes sure it’s working before I get on it for rehearsal. Apparently, they had never had problems with their lifts at this venue, and it was working fine so everyone was confident that the show would run smoothly. The rehearsals went well. But right before the actual performance, Yun pulled me aside and told me that there was something wrong with the lift and to be really careful during the performance.”

Everyone was listening to Edyth’s story and anticipating what was going to happen next.

Doni gasped, “The platform didn’t work?”

“The platform didn’t work,” Edyth confirmed. “It buffered while it moved me up and then wouldn’t come down for the rest of the song. Luckily, it went back down smoothly after the song.”

Coni shook a finger in Yun’s direction, “It sounds to me like Yun tampered with your platform.”

Yun laughs at the accusation and shakes her head. “I would never,” she says.

“I have another story,” Jeonghan says. “I didn’t believe the members when they talked about this either until this happened a couple of weeks ago.” “You don’t have to tell this story!” Yun protests.

Jeonghan waves off her reluctance to share what happened, “Recently, we did a concert in Osaka. There were a couple of us in a hotel room, I think it was Hoshi, Woozi, Nix, Yun, and me. We had just ordered food and were waiting for the hotel staff to bring it up. So, a couple minutes go by, and there's a knock on the door. I assumed it was our food and got up to answer the door. But as I’m walking to the door, Yun tells me to not open it. I checked through the peephole and it was a person in uniform, with a cart of food, so I really did just think it was staff with our food.

I really was going to open the door, but then Yun started freaking out, telling me not to open it. Hoshi and Nix believed in Yun’s ability while Woozi and I didn’t, so we didn’t open the door. We sat in silence for like 5 minutes while the person outside kept knocking on the door and saying they had our food. They finally left and I was complaining about how that was our food and I was hungry, but we got another knock on our door. It was one of our managers, and they told us that apparently some criminals had gotten into the hotel and were pretending to be staff in order to come see us. Right before I went back into our room, the staff came with our food. I asked if any other hotel staff had already come by, and they said no.”

“Random people were trying to get to you guys?” Doni asked.

Jeonghan and some of the other members nod enthusiastically..

Doni nudges Coni, “Maybe she’s some sort of a witch.”

“How do we test this?”

Yun is still shaking her head, “I’m not a witch. I just know when I should follow my gut feeling.”

The members are quick to protest this again. “No – she’s totally a witch.” Dk says.

Doni and Coni laugh. “What do you think?” Coni asks Minghao, as he hadn’t really spoken up with his own opinion.

Minghao smiles and looks over at Yun, there's a teasing glint in his eye before he looks back at Coni, “Maybe she’s not a witch, but she must have some sort of spiritual ability. She can predict the future with her dreams.”

Doni is quick to intervene, “How do you know it’s an ability though? Couldn’t it just be a coincidence?”

Minghao shakes his head, “It’s happened way too many times to be considered a coincidence.”

“Raise your hand if Yun has predicted something about you from one of her dreams?” Doni asks everyone. Him and Coni’s mouths drop open when all of the members raise their hands. “Are you guys trying to prank us?”

“One time,” Seungcheol said eagerly, his arms moving animatedly as he told his story. “Yun told me that she dreamt that a red jacket would give me a rash on my arm. I didn’t believe her but then a couple weeks later it happened! I bought a jacket but I had to get rid of it because it gave me a rash.”

“What about you?” Doni nudges Woozi, hoping that he’ll disagree with the members.

“I never give out the password of my studio to anyone. Only one of the managers, Bumzu, Hoshi, and I have access to it. One time I asked Yun to get me food while I was in the studio. I ask members all the time to do this and they always knock or just leave it outside, so I thought Yun would do the same. She had texted me that she had arrived at the building so I got up to accept the food but someone was opening the door to my studio. She just walked in and handed it to me super casually –” Everyone laughs when he makes the confused facial expression that he had as he told the story, “– I thought that maybe she had gotten the code from Hoshi or our manager but when I asked them they said that they didn’t. No one had given her the code and I was so confused. When I finally asked her, she said she dreamt coming into my studio and wondered if the code she saw in her dream would be the same one in real life.”

Coni points accusatively at Hoshi, “You gave her the code!”

He raises his hands up in defense, his voice loudly denying it, “I didn’t tell her anything! Woozi would kill me if I told anyone the code, I wouldn’t even be here!”

Everyone laughs at Hoshi’s ability to make any situation humorous and the mc’s move on from this segment into a game. Yun hadn’t thought much of this moment when they were filming it, in fact, she thought that it would get cut. But it was aired and it went viral, carats were amazed with her ability while others didn’t believe her.

Fascinated with the alleged ability, this often became a topic of discussion between the media and Yun. Interviewers would ask her what her latest dreams had been about and sometimes members would tell stories of Yun predicting things during a vlive. Of course, there were always people that were skeptical of the entire thing so Yun usually opted to not talk about this. The last time it was really a topic of discussion was when a fan went viral for telling their own Yun story:

“As a carat, I had heard the rumors of Yun’s ability of being able to see into the future through her dreams. I thought that it was a joke that all of the members were in on, but now I’m a believer. Yesterday, I went to the Seventeen fansign. I was excited to meet all of the members. I was one of the last carats to say hello to them, and Yun was the last member I would say hello to. When I finally got to sit in front of her, she was very excited and pleasant to talk to. When I told her my name, her eyes lit up with realization. She asked me if I had a boyfriend and I said yes. She then told me his name and how long we had been together (3 years). I was shocked and confused about how she knew, but she only laughed and said that she had seen our wedding in her dream. I told her that I wasn’t married, but that I wanted to marry him. Yun smiled playfully and said that my boyfriend would propose to me that upcoming Saturday. Imagine how surprised I was when it was true, yesterday my fiance proposed to me.”

The post went viral and gained over a million likes. Yun only responded in the form of a weverse post:

Haerim was one of the first to arrive. She quietly came onto set while Dino was filming. When he was watching the scene he had just filmed she snuck up behind him to watch over his shoulder. The staff who saw this laughed at how Dino hadn't noticed Haerim's presence. After watching the scene Dino told the director he would like to do it again. "I think I can do better." he said. "I think you were really cool." Haerim spoke behind him.

Dino turned around so fast with a hilariously cute look of surprise that Haerim couldn't help bursting into laughter. "Noona!" Dino said, almost breathless from shock. After calming down she gave him an encouraging pat on the back. "How are you feeling?" she asked him.

"Good," he relied." I'm feeling good."

"You're doing really well." Haerim complimented him. Looking at the camara shooting behind the scenes, she gave a thumbs up.

"Our Maknae is working really hard. I'm impressed."

"Thank you Noona." Dino smiled, slinging an arm around her shoulder to give her a side hug. "Haerim Noona was most excited when I told her. She said 'whoa really, that's awesome."

She laughed at the way Dino imitated her reaction. "It is though. Chanie's been talking about it for a long time. Seeing him reaching one of his goals make's me so proud." she put her hand on her chest to emphasize her feelings. "I'm so happy, really."

Dino had to get back to filming so Haerim gave him one last encouraging pat on he back before slipping away. "I'll be watching and if you need anything call me."

Next to arrive was Sage and Sunnie. They walked onto set together, arm in arm as if they'd just came from a leisurely stroll. "Where is he!?" Sunnie said, a bit too loudly. Sage could only laugh at the overly excited girl. "Where's that Lee Chan!?" Dino, who was having a short brake and was talking to Hoshi, heard them coming.

"Oh no." he said, with a look of (pretend) fear. Hoshi laughed at his reaction before getting up to make his exit to see what food catering had in the waiting room. "Yah don't leave me!"

"There he is!" Sunnie spotted him and dragged Sage along towards him.

Getting up to greet the older members, he smiled at them as they reached him. "Hello."

It only took two seconds before the two girls were all over him. "Wow Dino, you look so cool!" Said Sunnie, looking him up and down.

"Are you feeling well? Are you tried?" Sage asked him, seeing the tiredness on Dino's face.

"Yes!" Dino said firmly, making the older girls laugh. "Yes to both of those questions. I'm tired but I feel great."

Sunnie gave the camara a thumbs up. "Our Dino will push through to the end!"

"I was worried after knowing the shoot will be done in one day." Sage confessed, turning to Dino. "He's working so hard, I'm proud of him."

"Carat, listen to Wait a lot! It's so good!" Said Sunnie to the camara. Sage nodded in agreement while Dino thanked them for their support.

The staff signalled them that it was time to get back to work. "Fighting!!" The two girls gave Dino some more encouragement before he continued on with the music video shoot.

Zora arrived with Wonwoo and Dokyeom. She sat with them at a table on set.

"I'm here to support our Dino's first mixtape." DK said with a proud smile. Zora clapped her hands in the background, nodding her head.

"So cool!" Wonwoo said, watching the maknae in the distance, making DK and Zora laugh.

"Don't do that!" Said Zora, giving the older man a small hit on the arm.

"He hasn't even started. Don't 'so cool' him yet." Laughed DK.

Sunnie was also seen standing with Mingyu when Seungkwan was talking into the directors microphone. She laughed at what Seungkwan was saying. She then did a peace pose with Mingyu towards the camaras.

Haerim was seen standing with S.Coups when he arrived at the site.

Being in proud big sister mode, Zora was seen taking photos of Dino as he filmed the last dance scene. She would later upload them to Weverse after the music videos release.

kang eunsoo, originally named kang sookyung, was born in busan, south korea on may 24, 1994 to two english teachers, his father, kang dowon, and his mother, chae yujin.

he has two sisters, a twin sister named sooyoung and a younger sister named misun, and not long after misun’s birth, his parents decided they would move to america after a job offer opened up for them to teach at a famous university.

growing up, he found himself to be obsessed with dancing and singing after his parents took him to see a concert. from then on, he enrolled in dance classes when he was ten and singing lessons when he was twelve years old.

⤹˚˖♬୭ PRE-DEBUT ⭑♪⊹ ࣪ ˖

when he went into high school, he started to get more into music production after he started listening to more music and found himself wanting to make music one day too.

despite wanting to take music production classes, his parents didn't have enough money, so he got a part-time job as a tutor at his school and eventually saved up enough money by his 15th birthday to get a computer and music apps.

he taught himself how to produce music and even uploaded self-made songs to his youtube channel under the name ‘94.soul’. when he was 16, he was on a trip to korea and uploaded a song in korean and it ended up going viral in korea.

in 2010, pledis entertainment reached out to eunsoo to audition at the company. at first, his parents were reluctant to let him go, but he managed to convince them and ended up passing the audition.

→ TRAINEE YEARS 𖦹°‧★

eunsoo was initially supposed to debut in a few boy groups that ended up disbanding pre-debut and became close friends with a few trainees that were in the disbanded groups with him. ‘seungcheol’ and ‘jihoon.’

in 2011, pledis announced he would debut as a solo artist sometime that year, but due to unknown reasons, it never ended up happening, and in late 2011 he was added to the lineup of ‘seventeen.’

eunsoo was upset another one of his debuts got canceled and even planned to leave the company and go back to america until jihoon and seungcheol convinced him to stay and debut with them.

₊˚⊹♡ DEBUT ERA ೀ

eunsoo debuted as the oldest member of seventeen in 2015 as the main dancer, lead vocal, and one of the group’s main producers. the company originally tried to make him the leader of the group but he immediately refused and said he thought seungcheol would be way better than him at it.

some antis called him selfish for passing off the role as leader but eunsoo was content with not having the leader role. although in 2016 fans noticed how good he was with helping lead the younger members and so the company gave him the official role of co-leader.

at debut, eunsoo was among the least popular members due to his lack of lines and center positions in choreographies despite being a main dancer. over the years, he's gained a large fanbase and is praised as one of the best dancers in the industry and is praised for being a very talented producer and working with famous artists.

You lived in Korea your whole life, and you currently worked as a stylist for Enhypen. In fact, you were seen as their best one. You had always loved doing makeup and hair ever since you were a little girl. Your mother had supported this hobby of yours, and put time and money into helping you get better at makeup. You had gotten so good that by your high school year big-name companies wanted you to come do the makeup of their models and K-pop artists.

This was a dream come true for you. You had worked with BLACKPINK, Itzy, Nmixx, Mamamoo, (G)I-DLE, and Girls Generations with female groups. You have also done the makeup and hair for a few male groups, such as Stray Kids, BTS, Ateez, Tomorrow x Together, and Seventeen. You wouldn't say you have a favorite, but you got along best with Stray Kids, your personality being similar. You were a social butterfly when you got to know someone, but like Han, you could also be very anti-social.

A few years ago Hybe Corporation hired you. They had seen all of the work you did with other models and idols. You worked in Korea, wanting to stay close to home, but on rare occasions, you would fly out to help with makeup for shoots and concerts. Other companies would pay you a lot of money just to do the makeup for some of their idols. But now that you worked with Hybe, companies would often try to get you to work for them by paying you more money. You had declined every time. Money did not matter to you because Hybe was considerate that your mother was now struggling with finances. After all, she had recently gotten sick, and if you had ever needed to have a break from work, they would gladly let you have it. Memories from several years ago would come back to you. This one just so happened to be your first time meeting Jay.

You were currently flying to Seattle, Washington. You got a last-minute call from Hybe Corporation asking you to fly to Seattle because several of their stylists had called out sick and they couldn’t get anyone else to fill in for them. So here you were about forty-five minutes left in your ten-and-a-half-hour flight. Hybe had paid for your plane ticket giving you first class so that you could sleep well on the plane. You had slept almost the entire time. You had this well-worked plan so that you would not have jet lag when you got to a new place. You would do an all-nighter the day before so that when you were on the plane, you would be able to sleep and be well-rested for when you landed. This worked well because you would take the day planes and when you would arrive at your destination, it would be morning. You spent these forty-five minutes researching the group you would be doing. They were known as ENHYPEN. You went to Spotify and started to shuffle their music. The first song that came on was a song called Drunk-Dazed, and you liked it. As you listened to their music, you did some research on the members. There was no clear pattern you were following, you just looked up different members trying to find out more about them.

First was Jungwon, he was the leader of ENHYPEN. He was born on February ninth, 2004, his height was about 179cm (5’9”). From what you read, he had trained for roughly a year and four months, he has a pet dog named Maeumi from the dog in the drama Heart is. He is a former trainee for SM Entertainment and BigHit Entertainment. His favorite colors are blue and orange.

Next was Heesung, he was the center for ENHYPEN. He was born on October 15th, 2001 making him a Libra. His height was 183cm (6’0”). Heesung trained for three years and one month. He is the only one with a solo dorm, he got it because he won a game of rock, paper, scissors between all of the members. You laughed quietly to yourself, ‘he must be living the life then. Not having to share a dorm and all. But I bet it gets lonely after a while,’ you thought. You continued scrolling trying to see if there was any more good information about him. Heesung is also a former BigHit Entertainment trainee. You wondered if Heesung and Jungwon had met there. He is also close to the members of Tomorrow x Together. His favorite colors are purple and ivory. He is in a friend group called ee-z with I.N from Stray Kids, Beomgyu from TxT, and Lim Jimin from Just B. His motto is “Let’s live diligently as life passes by”.

You scrolled down a little and saw a very good-looking male looking back at you from the picture on the screen. Your cheeks flushed pink, you looked at his name, Jay Park. He was born in the United States on April 20th, 2002. He was exactly 180 cm (5’11”). His training period lasted two years and eleven months. You learned that he knows a little bit of Japanese, and had learned it from watching anime. Jay trained at LP Dance Academy before joining BigHit. His favorite color is purple. His role model is Kai from EXO. He says he enjoys cooking and eating delicious foods and when he was young, he dreamed of becoming a chef. You giggled quietly, remembering when you once had the idea of becoming a chef. Being able to make people smile with your food. But you are glad you chose this path. It pays well, and you are able to meet so many different people. You scrolled a bit more to see his motto: “Live your life the way you were born”.

Just as you were about to scroll to the next member you felt the plane touch ground. You jumped in your seat, the rough landing making you grip the armrests of the seat of the plane. After about five minutes you made your way off of the plane, grabbing your carry-on bag on the way in the overhead carrier. After you were off the plane you made your way to the luggage pickup area. You had to pack clothes in your carry-on and put things like makeup, brushes, blow dryers, and many other things in the other bag. It was much bigger because it also carried one of your toiletries and your stylist uniform your mother had made for you a few years ago.

Finally, you reached the luggage pickup area, and that's where you saw three males waiting with your suitcase. You started to freak out. Your heart was pounding away from inside your chest so much so that you thought it would burst out. You walked cautiously over to the three males.

“Hello, I think you have my bag,” you said politely. They turned to look at you, “You are miss y/n?” a male in a black suit asked. You nodded, “yes, I am she. I’m sorry but I do not have time to fool around, I have places to be. I still have to check into my hotel. And I have a very early morning tomorrow”

“Oh!! You're really y/n?! Like no joke?” one asked, surprised. Once again you nodded. “Yes, as I said, now please,” you went to grab your suitcase's handle, “give me my suitcase please.”

“Did Jungwon not tell her that we were going to pick her up?” a tall male with dark blue hair asked the boy next to him. You paused, brows furrowing. “What? Did you say Jungwon?” He turned to you, his eyes wrinkled into little crescent moons. He was smiling, even if you couldn't see it due to the mask he was wearing, it was still obvious. “Yup, that's our leader,” he replied as if it was obvious. You paused. ‘Leader? Leader…oh my god!!!’ “Oh my god! Your ENH-” a hand quickly covered your mouth. “You can't just go throwing it around like that, we were barely able to sneak in here.” The male with black hair hushed you.

Your eyes widened and you nodded. He took his hand off of your mouth slowly. When you didn’t say anything he let out the breath he was holding. “Alright, we got your stuff, the car is right out front. You're going to be staying at the same hotel as us. Jungwon already had the staff get you a room.” the boy with dark blue hair said. “Alright, that sounds great,” you smiled. “I can’t wait to work with you guys!” The two boys’ eyes crinkled into crescent moons as they smiled down at you, “Yeah, we can’t either miss y/n,” The one with black hair said.

You got into the car and made your way to the hotel. Once there you went to your room which was on the 5th floor. You saw that the boy with dark blue hair was following you. You paused and looked back at him, “Are you obsessed with me already?” you joked.

He laughed, his smile was so cute, he had taken off his mask once he saw the hall was clear, “I’m walking to my room,” he replied, “It looks like we are right next to each other.” He said as he stopped at his room. ‘529’ it read. You looked at the room next to him, it showed ‘530’ in gold wavy writing. You took the key card out, unlocking the door. Before stepping in, you looked at the boy next to you. “Do you mind telling me your name?” You asked, and an embarrassed laugh escaped you. He laughed lightly, “sure, it’s Jay,” he smiled.

You paused. ‘Jay… like Jay Jay?! y/n that’s him!! OH MY GOD, THAT’S HIM!!! HOLY CRAP! Oh my god, you're going to be right next to the hottest guy you have ever seen!!’ your mind and heart started going a hundred kilometers a second. Jay noticed how you paused and walked a few steps so that he was right in front of you. He bent down so he was at eye level with you. “You alright y/n?” he said, concern evident in his voice.

You quickly snapped out of it, “Y-yeah, I’m g-” you stopped mid-sentence as your brain registered how close he was to you. Your cheeks and ears going as red as Chan’s hair had been. Jay laughed as he stood back up to his full height. “You know, you're pretty cute,” and with that, he unlocked his room and went in.

You stood there for a few seconds before you went into your room, cheeks and ears still beet red. Closing the door, you took a deep breath and took your shoes off. Walking over to the bed you flopped yourself down face-first, landing on the pillows. The embarrassment of what just happened flooding through your veins.

This was almost three years ago, you and Jay had gotten together and had been dating for a year. ENHYPEN had a concert in LA soon and so you were supposed to fly there two days before the concert. Several members of ENHYPEN were already there and exploring the city. This gave you and Jay some alone time together.

It was about 8 O'clock in the morning, you were snuggled up in your bed with Jay laying next to you, his arms wrapped around your smaller frame. His bare chest up against your back was warm, and since it was getting colder outside, it made you snuggle up against him more. The sun was peeking out from behind the curtains, slowly waking you up from your deep sleep.

You groggily opened your eyes, blinking the sleep out of them before turning around in your boyfriend's arms. You looked up at him. He looked so calm and at peace when he was asleep. You pecked his lips before burying your head in his chest.

“Good morning my Star,” a groggy voice quietly whispered, before you felt a light kiss placed on the crown of your head. “Morning my love,” you smiled, looking up at your boyfriend.

You could tell he was tired. You could hear it in his voice, as well as see it in his beautiful dark brown eyes. You leaned up to peck his lips, but he met you halfway, shocking you. The kiss was meant to be quick, but Jay placed his hand on the back of your head, deepening the kiss. You closed your eyes leaning into his, your hands placed on his strong chest. When you pulled away, you both looked at one another, you smiled, a small laugh escaping you as well as you shook your head, burying it back into his chest.

“You always have to take something cute and sweet, and make it into something hot and steamy, don't you.” you sighed, a smile still on your face. Jay laughed, and you felt his chest vibrate from under your hands. “I can’t help it,” he pouted, “you're just too hot for your own good,” You laughed lightly, looking up at him again. “Well st-” You were interrupted by his lips meeting yours once again, his hand already on the back of your head. You laughed against his lips before he pulled away, giving you one last quick peck before pulling you into his chest. You inhaled his scent, he smelled good, the smell of his body wash hitting your nose, making you feel calm. It made you drowsy, and you slowly fell back into a light sleep. The lack of sleep from your activities from the previous night still catching up to you. Jay looked down at you, a soft smile making its way to his face. He wanted to go ahead and get up because he had planned a great day for the two of you, starting off with a homemade breakfast which he was supposed to be starting right now. But he couldn't bring himself to wake you once more, so instead, he pulled you closer to him - if that was even possible - his chin resting on the crown of your head. “I’ll wake you in a few minutes Love, until then, sleep well,” he said, getting ready to get up. But instead of you letting him, you only held onto him tighter. “Stay with me, please,” you grumbled sleepily. Jay smiled down at you before cuddling back up next to you. “Of course cupcake,”

Several years later

You could not have been happier than you were right now. You and Jay have continued to date, things have been going smoothly. So smoothly that Jay had popped the question to you after his concert in LA, telling you he wanted to be with you for the rest of his life, even if he was young, he still knew that he wanted to be with you for the rest of his life. And of course you said yes. The ring was beautiful. There was a bright shining diamond, on the left side, small dark blue gems ran down the side of the band, it was representing your birthstone, Sapphire. On the right side clear blue gems ran down the other side of the band, before the two gemstones met and blended together in a beautiful sky blue color. About ten months later, you both got married. You had invited BLACKPINK, Stray Kids, Ateez, Seventeen, and a couple more groups that you had done makeup for in the past. The wedding was beautiful, and Enhypen ended up singing a love song Jay had written for you. He had written the whole thing, for you on the day of your wedding.

Once more, you both lay in bed together under the covers of the bed shielding you from the bitter cold of the room. Jay stirred when he heard the door leading to your bedroom creek open quietly. His eyes blinked open slowly. He squinted, the light from the sun affecting his visibility. Once his eyes adjusted, he saw your beautiful little girl standing at the door. She looked exactly like him, but she had your mind. Pure, sweet, comforting, and warm. Jay smiled at her, she smiled back.

Your daughter was getting ready to turn 6 years old. When Jay held her for the first time he was so nervous, it was honestly adorable. You had shown him how to properly hold your little girl, and he followed your instructions perfectly. The soft look on Jay’s face was so rare to see, but it was a sight that only you and a few of his members were able to get a true look at.

Your daughter tiptoed into the room, Jay lifting the covers for her to crawl in between him and you. She immediately snuggled up against your back, the smile on Jay’s face resembled that of the one the first time he held your daughter, soft, kind, and without a care in the world except for what was right in front of him, his two girls.

You felt a small presence behind you, so without opening your eyes, you carefully turned around in the bed, facing your, now, sleeping daughter. You peaked an eye open, and gave her a kiss on the crown of her head. Then you looked at Jay, who still had that fond smile on his face as he looked at the two of you. You motioned with your hand for him to lay down again, and he did. He wrapped both of his arms around you and your little girl. Before he drifted back to sleep, he placed a kiss on top of your daughter's head, as well as yours. A soft hum coming from you as you held onto your daughter and snuggled into her and Jay even more before drifting back to your dreamless sleep.

We would like to provide you with some information regarding SEVENTEEN member JEONGHAN’s elbow injury.

JEONGHAN has been receiving conservative treatment such as receiving injections for an infection and damage in his outer tendon on his right elbow. JEONGHAN recently visited the hospital due to increased pain in his elbow and received word from the medical staff that his lateral epicondylitis and tendon damage has worsened. It has been determined that surgery was needed which he received on Wednesday the 15th.

The operation was successful, and the artist has been recuperating after being discharged as of Thursday the 16th. JEONGHAN will be wearing a cast for the time being, as well as a brace in order to protect the treated area, and to aid in a faster recovery.

The artist is highly determined to attend all of the group’s prearranged engagements; however, his participation will be adjusted depending on the circumstances, placing his recovery as the top most priority as per recommended by the medical staff.

As such, JEONGHAN will be participating in the group’s prearranged activities including the SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [BE THE SUN] in his cast and brace while continuously receiving medical consultations, so long as it does not put too much strain on his recovery. We ask our fans for your kind consideration.

We will do our best to aid in JEONGHAN’s treatment and recovery so that he can return in full health to his fans as quickly as possible.

New Trainees

Nariko is getting used to the trainee life.

The bright green walls that held the giant group of trainees were giving Nariko a headache. She scanned the crowded space, observing trainees practice dance choreographies while others did the same vocal run over and over again. It was only her second week as a Pledis trainee, yet doubts started to plague her. Was this all worth it?

Her gaze wandered through the room, finally her eyes settled on a glowing red light settled in the top corner of the room. The knowledge that anyone could be watching her every move, live, sent shivers down her spine. Nariko was still getting used to the people around her only speaking Korean, how was she supposed to get used to being in the public eye all of the time?

Nariko’s attention is abruptly pulled back as a cluster of trainees approach her. For whatever reason, she noticed that many of the juniors were drawn to her. When Samuel, the youngest of the group, reached for her hand and tried pulling her up, she felt discomfort mingled with gratitude.

“Come practice with us, Nariko!” Seungkwan says, his voice warm but insistent. “Sooyun said she’d teach us the new choreography for the monthly test.”

Nariko hesitates, a part of her was urging her to retreat into the safety of being alone. Yet, a part of her longed for connection, to be part of the group of trainees she often saw laughing together and supporting one another. With shaky hands, she allows Samuel to guide her up.

“Okay,” she murmurs softly, her voice barely audible above the chatter going on in the room. “Thanks, guys. I’ll try my best.”

As they make their way to the front of the room, near the mirrors, Nariko watches Sooyun speak animatedly with Chaewon. Of course, all of the trainees had been nice to her so far, but she couldn’t shake off the feeling of being an outsider looking in. While everyone had introduced themselves to her, some even making an effort to learn some phrases in Japanese, it was evident that most trainees had already formed tight-knit groups, leaving her to be on her own.

Sooyun and Chaewon, the only other girls, seemed to have their own separate roles. Sooyun was often by herself, working on choreography with Soonyoung, or sometimes even trailing after Jihoon. Meanwhile, Chaewon was usually fulfilling the older sister role, helping the younger trainees with anything and everything, leaving little time for personal connections beyond her circle of 95 liners.

Chaewon joins the group of trainees, leaving Sooyun to lead the makeshift practice. The tone of the practice is rather lighthearted, as many of the trainees talk as they are led through stretches and new people join their practice. Nariko notices that Chaewon is standing in the back, finally on her own. She takes a deep breath, trying to work up the courage to approach her, but is disappointed when she sees Jeonghan approach her.

During the practice, Nariko puts all of her energy into learning the choreography, determined to prove herself. She notices how a lot of the trainees watch her, but is unable to tell if they are impressed by her dancing or see her as competition. Their gazes are a bit unsettling, but she does her best to ignore them and focus on dancing.

Nariko has a background in traditional dance, so she had trouble adjusting her dance style to fit Sooyuns hip hop style. She attempts a turn repeatedly, trying to make it seem less fluid. Nariko grunts in disappointment as she watches herself in the mirror.

“Woah. You’re a really good dancer.” The trainee to the left of her says. His voice cuts through her concentration and startles her. Nariko turns in surprise to look at him… she vaguely remembers him introducing himself as Seokmin. “Can you help me with the turn? I keep falling over.”

His question once again catches her off guard. “Thank you,” she responds, a shy smile growing on her lips. “I can help you. Do you mind doing it again? So I can watch?”

Seokmin does the turn a few times, seemingly falling in a new direction every time. Nariko nods in understanding, “You’re putting all of your weight on your heel and you lose balance. Try it again on your toes.”

Seokmin follows her instruction, this time doing the turn on his toes. He still tilts a bit to the side, but at least he is no longer falling over himself. “That worked! Thank you so much!” He sends Nariko a large grin and excitedly does the spin again, no longer having issues with it.

“Of course. Once you're used to putting more of your weight forward, you don’t have to go on your toes, Sooyun doesn’t.”

Seokmin nods in understanding. The two of them keep talking as practice continues and by the end of it, Seokmin has showered her with compliments, unknowingly lifting her spirits.

After the practice session ends, Nariko says bye to Seokmin before getting ready to leave. However, before she can slip away unnoticed, Sooyun approaches her, a smile on her face, despite clearly being tired from leading practice.

“Hey, Nariko, I saw you at practice helping Seokmin, thanks!” Sooyun says, her tone friendly. Her gratitude perplexes her, prompting Nariko to question the unexpected gratitude.

“Why are you thanking me?” Nariko asks.

“Seokmin can be kind of shy, so asking for help can be hard sometimes. Whenever I lead practice, I feel bad I can’t help him at the moment.” Although Nariko wasn’t sure she really understood the depth of what Sooyun was saying, her understanding of the Korean language was okay, she seemed to understand that small acts of kindness were often appreciated amongst the trainees.

Their conversation comes to a lull, as neither girl really knows what to say. Sooyun’s gaze drifts to Chaewon standing near the exit of the room, prompting her to extend an invitation.

“Do you want to grab a drink with us? With Chaewon and me, I mean,” Sooyun explains. “We were thinking of trying out that new bubble tea down the street. Chaewon said it was her treat.”

Surprised by the invitation, Nariko hesitates a bit before nodding yes. Sooyun cheers in excitement before grabbing her arm and pulling her in Chaewons direction.

“Look who’s joining us!”

Chaewon looks visibly stunned by the news, but only for a second before she’s grinning,“You’re really coming?”

Nariko nods again, feeling a bit shy as the center of attention, but excited by the idea of being included as one of the girls.

As the three of them made their way to the bubble tea shop, ignoring the whining from the boys that wanted to tag along, Nariko found herself smiling as she watched Sooyun and Chaewon interact more closely. The constant banter between the two of them was amusing and she found herself laughing along. Despite the pang of envy she felt at their effortless friendship, Nariko can’t help but to feel grateful for the opportunity to spend time with them outside of practice.

Inside the boba shop, the atmosphere was quite infectious, filled with the scent of sweet drinks and light hearted music. Chaewon and Sooyun eagerly place their orders, barely breaking their conversation. Nariko stands a bit behind them, not really knowing when to come up to give her own order.

Luckily, Chaewon notices her and turns a bit towards her. “Come on, Nariko, what flavor are you getting?” she asks, flashing a reassuring smile.

Nariko steps forward, mustering her own smile as she places her own order. The three soon settle into a booth, Nariko facing the other two, and as they drink and chat, the awkwardness that once surrounded them starts to fade away. They exchange stories from their childhood and from training. The two girls try their best not to pry too much about Nariko's private life, noticing that she was giving short, straightforward answers, but quickly got into the rhythm of asking each other funny questions.

“So,” Sooyun says in a sing-songy voice, “Do you have a crush on anyone?”

Nariko cocks her head to the side, confused by her choice in words, “Why would I want to crush someone? That sounds mean.”

Chaewon and Sooyun laugh. “That’s not what she means,” Chaewon explains, “Crushing on someone means liking them romantically, she’s asking if you find anyone cute.”

“Oh.” Nariko ponders the question for a while, before shaking her head, “No, not really.”

Sooyun gasps in shock, “Really? Not even a little bit?”

Nariko feels herself flush in embarrassment at Sooyun’s surprise. She shifts a bit in her seat and plays with the end of her sleeves, suddenly self-conscious under this line of questioning.

“No, not really,” she repeats, her voice quiet but firm.

Chaewon slaps Sooyuns arm, scolding her. “Hey, not everyone is boy crazy like you. Maybe you’d know all the lyrics to that song we’ve been practicing if you didn’t spend all of your time thinking about boys.”

Sooyun whines, trying to hide the tinting in her cheeks, “Chae that’s not fair! How could you say that?”

Nariko cocks her head to the side, “Do you have a crush on someone?”

Chaewon smiles as she realizes that Nariko is attempting to use the new word she just learned and laughs as Sooyun becomes even more flustered by her question. Nariko can’t help feeling some satisfaction from turning the tables on Sooyun. She watches in amusement as Chaewon teases a squirming Sooyun.

“Chae, that’s not fair!” Sooyun protests, attempting to deflect attention away from herself.

Chaewon continues to laugh at Sooyun’s expense, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. “Sorry, Sooyunnie, but you set yourself up for that one,” she teases, earning a playful glare from her friend.

Nariko has been watching their back-and-forth bantering before asking, “Who do you have a crush on?”

Sooyun adverts her gaze, debating if this was something she wanted to share, if it was worth the teasing she would probably receive from the girls in the future. She mumbles her answer, almost hoping that they wouldn’t hear her, “It’s Hansol… and Channie.”

“Both of them!” Chaewon exclaims. Her and Nariko exchange amused glances, barely containing their laughter at the younger girl’s admission. “Ooo, Sooyunnie’s got a double crush!” Chaewon teases, unable to stop herself from reaching over and pinching Sooyuns cheeks, despite her attempts at swatting her hand away.

“Whatever,” Sooyun says dryly, unimpressed by their shenanigans. Yet, the hint of a smile tugs at the corners of her lips. Suddenly, her eyes light up, remembering something. “Narkio, Jihoon is totally into you!”

Nariko’s eyes widen in surprise at Sooyun’s unexpected announcement, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. She opens her mouth to respond, but before she can utter a word, Chaewon chimes in.

“Ooh, please spill, Sooyunnie.” Chaewon teases, her curiosity piqued. “What makes you think he likes her? I don’t think they've even properly spoken.” She turns to Nariko for confirmation, and receives it in a nod.

Sooyun leans back with a satisfied grin, enjoying the reactions she received from her revelation. “Are you kidding? Whenever they’re in the same room, he’s staring at you with heart eyes.”

Nariko’s eyes widen in surprise, her mind racing to find a response. She had never even considered having a crush on any of the other trainees, and even less if someone was into her. Despite her lack of romantic interest, she knows the importance of handling these situations delicately.

“Really?” Nariko says, her tone light but non-committal. “I hadn’t noticed.”

Chaewon eyes her, trying to read her reaction, “Jihoon can be shy, so if he does like you, I wouldn’t be surprised if you haven’t noticed.”

Nariko offers a small, understanding nod. “Yeah, that’s true. I’ll keep an eye out, I guess.”

Sooyun can’t stop herself from prying into Nariko’s thoughts, “You don’t think he’s cute at all? You wouldn’t want to date him?”

Nariko pauses, carefully considering her response. “Well, he’s nice and all… but I don’t really see him that way. I’m still getting used to training, you know?” She offers a tentative smile, hoping to express her sincerity.

Chaewon and Sooyun are quick to agree with her, and Nariko feels a wave of relief wash over her. She’s grateful for their reassurance and for not pushing her to pursue a romantic relationship.

Despite the many moments of awkwardness, Nariko finds herself enjoying her time with the other girls. They finish their drinks before walking back to the dorms together. Maybe, she thinks, if she got to know everyone else the way she gotten to know Chaewon and Sooyun, she could find herself enjoying being a trainee. The thought fills her with a newfound sense of optimism as they laugh and talk on their way back home.

Moment: Lean on me

The end of the concert is always the most fun but it is also the hardest for Zora. She quickly runs out of energy especially when hearing the chorus of Aju Nice over and over again.

She swears she only laid down for a moment but the second her head hit the ground her eyes closed and she was drafting off. The sounds of the concert swirled around her and faded into the background. It was peaceful, it was until Mingyu noticed her on the ground. He went to her and crouched beside her, tapping her arm gently.

"Kyungie, you okay?" He called to her. She hummed in response. "Yah! Are you sleeping?!"

"No." Her eyes opened immediately. I was like she forgot she was in the middle of the stage. Mingyu laughed, finding the situation hilarious.

"Come here." He took one of her arms to help her up but in the process Mingyu turned around and pulled her arm over his shoulder, bending down slightly to grab one of her legs.

"Yah! Kim Mingyu!" Zora yelled as he took off with her on his back, running around the stage and bouncing along with the music. Mingyu laughed, finding her reactions funny and although she was holding on for dear life, she was smiling and giggling too.

After a while he slowed down, walking around the stage with Zora still clinging to his back. Adjusting his grip on her legs he didn't show any signs of letting her down, so she got comfortable. Hugging her arms around him she rested her chin on he's shoulder.

"Are you tired?" Mingyu whispered to her but still loud enough that she could hear him over the noise. She again only hummed in response. Mingyu chuckled, "Just a little longer. I got you Kyungmin."

Snuggling more into Mingyu's shoulder she could easily fall asleep there but she knew she couldn't yet. So she waved to the Carats that cheered for her as they passed them. Some of them called to her, "Wake up Zora!" They found it adorable that she was practically falling asleep on Mingyu in the middle of the encore, video's of this are sure to go viral.

From her place on Mingyu's back, she felt content. His strong shoulders always made her feel comfortable. Kyungmin always feels safe with Kim Mingyu.

Let me tell you the story of one of our unfortunate residents who seems to be a PART-TIMER on the island. Fate has assigned this individual guidance from THE HERMIT REVERSED card. But they needn’t worry, their secrets are safe with me.

DOB: june 15th, 1997 DEFINING TRAITS: optimistic, hardworking, disciplined, oblivious, insecure, secretive, RESEMBLES: seventeen kwon sooyoung (hoshi)

YOU ARE PRESENTED WITH A PRISTINE DECK OF TAROT CARDS. TAKE YOUR PICK.

Jisu has never been to a tarot reading before but here he is with his fellow group members in a tarot reading shop that was arranged by a youtube channel to film some content to roll out along for their next comeback.

They are all seated in front of a friendly lady who introduces herself as the tarot reader and one by one, they are asked to pick a card that resonates with them the most. It’s exciting to say the very least, as his group members pick cards that suit them and as he waits for his turn with his legs tapping against the red carpet with nervousness.

When it is his turn, he looks at the spread out deck before him; hesitant hands tapping against the wood surface as he motions them left and right. It takes him a while and while his fellow teammates had showed impatient expression masked under the guise of an irritated smile, the tarot reader was more than willing to wait until Jisu takes his pick.

He settles for a card that’s about ¼ of the deck from the left side.

“the hermit reversed,” says the lady that’s seated in front of him. If Jisu had been any better in reading facial expressions, the blonde idol may have seen the sympathetic smile he’s given, but instead, he assumes that she’s smiling for the luck he had pulled.

The lady clears her throat, “This card represents isolation, loneliness and withdrawal” she explains and continues, “Have there been any instances where you may find yourself wanting to stick close to your group member, but times where you wanted to be alone?”

The idol takes a few second to think before nodding, wondering if she was more than a tarot reader ― if she had been a clairvoyant or a physic instead.

“I supposed! I enjoy my time alone, but I also love spending time with the members,” he confesses, masking any indications of otherwise.

“That is why this card resonates to you most then. In relationships, there may be instance where you want to be alone, but other times with your fellow group members. But you have to be careful to not isolate yourself. This card could also meant that should there be any unsettlement, there would be some sign of reconciliation, be it if you were isolated, feeling lonely or have any withdrawals from people.”

The blonde nods in silence but with a smile, unsure what his card reading had meant. The shooting ends with a few more readings for this teammates before they performed snippets of their comeback.

By the time the filming ends, he bids the tarot reader farewell but not without a last word of advice from her as his members left to get on the van,

“Be careful, Jisu. Your reading also indicates that there may be times where you try as hard as to have that gravitational pull, it will push you further into isolation and loneliness.” she warns.

He had still not understand what she had meant but only nods and makes a mental note about her advice.

As he gets on the van, he’s being pushed in and yelled by one of the older member for being late. “Jesus Christ Jisu, if you’re late then walk home yourself” the members grumbles, shoving Jisu to the back seat.

He apologizes as he tries to not stumble in the crowded space and gets to his seat. Jisu is all alone in the back again, though unsurprisingly. The arrangement of their seating has always been like this.

As their van drives off back to the dorm and the other members asleep, Jisu plugs his earphone in and looks out, thinking about how lonely he feels when his members treat him like this behind closed doors. Whatever the exchange had been earlier has long been kept locked in the back of his head.

THE CARD FLUTTERS TO YOUR FEET. WHO WERE YOU BEFORE THIS STORY BEGAN?

It was just like any morning that Jisu wakes up to but instead of heading to practice, to exercise, or to any schedules he had for the day, he’s been told to meet at the company and that the manager would pick him up alone.

He wonders if it could be another talk of any of his solo comeback since there had been no reason he would need to be in the company alone and any times like this before was opportunities presenting its way to him.

The office is almost silent; like a calm before a storm, as Jisu finds himself in the seat of the CEO office, waiting for the man of the hour to arrive.

“Jisu! Glad you came,” the CEO greets him.

The blond bows back formerly to the man of higher authority before he’s beckon to take a seat.

“I’m not sure of how I should bring this up-” the older man starts, fumbling his fingers in an unlikely manner. “But, I’m sorry to say, we need to terminate your contract.”

Did Jisu hear that right..? “Terminate my contract?” he speaks out for the first time since being in the room. “What do you mean..?” the idol dares ask, as if he had heard wrongly.

“I understand you aren’t in the best relationship with Seokwoo-” the director explains but gets cut off by Jisu, “You meant Seokwoo doesn’t have the best relationship with me- No, in fact. He hates me and bullies me but everyone turns a blind eye!“

"Jisu. Look, he’s my nephew.” the older man reasons, as if it was any valid reasoning.

“And I earn the most-” Jisu retaliates. “I made us more money than the entire group-” he argues more.

“Well yes, you did. And it’s sad to see you go- But there’s other scandals involving you which we had turned a blind eye for-”

“I was set up. Framed!” Jisu stands up, hands slamming. It wasn’t his fault when the photographs of him and a celebrity he didn’t even know personally had been spreading on the internet like wildfire, citing that he was dating. The company did not managed well to shut it down until Jisu took it upon his own social media to speak of his truth and had to be on hiatus for a few weeks while the scandal settles down.

“I’m sorry Jisu. We’ve put the notice up. The very least we’ll compensate you” the latter sighs in defeat but holds out his phone where the notice of Jisu’s departure to the group has been announced with no specific reasons provided.

“This is fucked up. I’ll get a lawyer to speak to you about the compensation,” Jisu mumbles in defeat. There was no point in arguing his place in the group when the damage has been done by the company. He shouldn’t have expected that things would get better when they did him wrong from his previous scandal that he wasn’t even involved with.

Jisu packs his stuffs up which wasn’t many to begin with when he most of his clothes were from sponsorship to which he returns to the stylists so they could give it to the members or anyone else.

He gives the dorm one last look, a place where he spent for a few good years when they moved out of their old one when his group managed to gain popularity a good one or two years back. Now all it remains is his memories of it.

As he hails for a taxi, his phone rings, displaying the contact information that belonged to an unknown number. He picks up and receives another bad news of the day; one that says his sister is missing.

With no time to waste, he arranges for a trip back home to Namyangju and as he gets there, he tries to look up for transportation to make his way to Gwasuwon.
