Anytime, Sunshine
Tumblr media
Request: can i request a fic where you're secretly dating coups? and can it please be fluffy??
Pairing: Seventeen S.Coups x Reader
Genre: Fluff
.
"Ehem."
Squeezing your eyes shut even tighter, you grumbled to yourself before flopping onto your stomach. Burying your face into the pillow, you let out a long exhale.
"Baby, I know you hear me."
"Hearing you and responding to what I'm hearing are two different things," you muttered, slowly lifting your head. Peeling open one eye, you glared at your sleep-worn boyfriend. How was it even possible for someone with that level of bedhead to look so attractive?
"Your alarm went off," Coups sighed, not even bothering to pick up that argument. "Multiple times."
"And yet, there I was," you said, plopping face down into the pillow again. "Still asleep."
"The last thing I want to do is kick you out of my bed," he continued, rubbing your lower back. "But-"
"But I need to get back on the couch," you complained. "Because I'm just your friend."
"Hey, hey," he huffed. "That wasn't my rule."
"I knoooow," you groaned. "It's mine."
Finally sitting up, you scrubbed at your eyes before looking moodily toward your boyfriend. "I'm the worst."
"You're not the worst," he smiled, cupping your cheeks with both of his hands. "I know you don't want to mess up the dynamic, but don't you think the guys would be happy to see us together? They'd still view you as a friend."
"When friends date friends in the friend group, something always gets messed up," you pouted. "I told you that when you asked me out."
"And then you told me again after we slept together," he gave a shit-eating grin this time. "Didn't stop you from doing it though."
"Choi Seungcheol," you gasped, pushing his wrists away from your face. "How very dare you."
"We're dating, Y/N," he sighed. "Why hide it from the people we love?"
"Cause it's going to make it weird," you argued, wiggling your arms on the word "weird" for emphasis. "They're not going to know how to act around us and-"
"I don't think you give them enough credit."
"I think you give them too much."
"Okay, that's valid," Coups chuckled. "I should probably know better, but it's getting harder keeping this a secret."
"Says you," you grumbled, struggling up and out of his bed. Wrapping yourself in a thick blanket, you began to waddle out of the room. "I'm obviously loving this arrangement."
.
"Yah!"
You were getting really tired of being woken up this morning.
Popping your head out from under the duvet you were using, you tried to focus your sleep-drunk eyes.
"I want to sit on the couch and eat breakfast," Seungkwan pouted with a small foot stomp. "All of the spots at the table are taken."
"Sit on the floor," you croaked, pulling the blanket up again.
"Y/N," he whined. "You're so mean to me and for what?"
Without bothering to uncover yourself again, you grumbled, "Bring me a waffle and I'll consider your demands."
"I got it," you could hear Coups laugh from the kitchen.
Worming your way out from your warm, little cocoon, you narrowed your eyes at Seungkwan who stuck his tongue out at you in response. Rolling your eyes, you pulled yourself to the corner of the couch, allowing room for him.
"I would say thank you, but I won't give you the satisfaction," he muttered, sinking into the cushion beside you.
Your mouth pressed into a thin line, trying to stay closed rather than say something that would hurt his feelings. Instead, you buried your toes beneath his thigh and relished in the newfound warmth.
"Here you go," Coups cooed, reappearing with a plate and coffee mug in hand.
Gratefully taking it from him, you tried to remind yourself, to the world, you were still just friends. "Thanks."
"Anytime, sunshine," he grinned, patting you lightly on the head.
You took a large bite of your waffle as you watched him saunter away. God, how was his back just as good looking as his front?
Looking down to your breakfast again, you almost didn't notice the side-eye Seungkwan gave you.
"What?"
"Nothing," he chirped, shaking his head with fake innocence.
"No, what?" you groaned, dropping your food to your plate.
"I just think," he began a little too calmly. "That you two would make a cute couple."
Ice shot through your veins. Surely, he hadn't picked up on anything from you and Seungcheol's interaction. He couldn't possibly know what was going on...
Could he?
Trying to stifle a surprised cough, you ground out, "What? Why? Coups? No!"
"Don't think you're fooling me, Y/N," Seungkwan hummed knowingly. You felt your heart skip a beat. There's no way he would call you out in front of everyone. Boo was dramatic, but he also had some level of common decency.
"Fooling you?" you asked, lifting your brows. "There's nothing to fool you about."
"Yeah, right!" he gasped. "You have the biggest crush on our leader!"
You tapped down on the panic that had been disseminating itself across your chest. He thought you had a crush on Coups. While not untrue, he hadn't figured out the bulk of the situation after all.
Letting out a sigh of relief you tried to mask as one of frustration, you shook your head. "It's not like that, Kwannie."
"I call bullshit," he said with a small shrug. "Your attention was glued to his ass as soon as he turned around."
"Whose attention was glued to my ass?"
Looking up with wide eyes, you were so wrapped up in Seungkwan's accusations, you hadn't noticed Coups appear in the doorway.
"Seungkwan's," you said quickly. "He was admiring your cake."
Rolling his eyes, Seungkwan laughed. "Y/N has a crush on you and it's so obvious that it causes me physical pain."
"Seungkwan," you hissed, teeth barred.
"Do they now?" Coups hummed, setting his own coffee cup on the table in front of the couch. Taking a spot on the rug in front of you, he quirked his brow. "Is that true?"
"What?" you muttered, looking rapidly between the two men. Why was your boyfriend (albeit secret) playing into this?
"Answer the question, Y/N," Seungkwan grinned, obviously enjoying himself.
"I, well, we-" you stammered.
"It's okay," Coups sighed, looking away from you dreamily. "I have a crush on you too."
You bit back a groan as Seungkwan sprung from the couch, pointing an accusatory finger at his member. "I knew it! You were making lovey eyes at each other from across the room at the restaurant last night."
"We were doing no such thing!" you gasped, attempting to salvage whatever small bit of privacy regarding your relationship that you could.
Looking over to Coups, you tried to ignore the outright mirth dancing across his face.
"Maybe I was," he hummed. "I just can't help it. You're so cute."
"Does this mean you two are going to date?" Seungkwan all but shouted, clutching his imaginary pearls. "Oh my god, did I just get you two together? I'm a love genius!"
"You are!" Coups smirked, completely playing into this whole charade. "I never would have had the courage to confess without you!"
"Remember that when my birthday comes around," Seungkwan oozed, pleased with himself. "I brought you two together. Where'd everyone go? I have to tell them immediately."
"Kwan-ah," you moaned, completely defeated. He was out of the room before you even had a moment to digest what was happening.
Turning slowly toward your boyfriend, you leveled him with the most serious death glare you could manage.
"Whoops," he grinned. "Looks like everyone found out after all."

svt - when you forgot to kiss them
Tumblr media
pairing: svt x gn!reader
prompt: you forgot to kiss them when you came home from work
warnings: some instances of reader being stressed. some instances of different ppl being anxious that reader is mad at them. intentional lowercase + no proofreading.
daisy’s notes: this has been in my drafts for over two months. anyway.... shua <3
Tumblr media
choi seungcheol
seungcheol had been watching you almost the entire time since you came home from work, unable to fight back the pout on his face. you hadn’t said anything to him, and he was convinced that he had done something wrong and you weren’t going to tell him what.
which... was pretty annoying, in his opinion. if he did something to hurt you, you should just tell him so he can apologize and do better. it’s childish to just act like nothing’s wrong. something’s wrong, right?
you were plating dinner when he finally let out a whine. can you just talk to me?”
you looked up, clueless. “was i ignoring you?” you frowned. “sorry, honey--”
“you’re mad, right?” he sighed, arms folded across his chest. “tell me why you’re mad at me. i’m sorry for whatever i did and i’ll make it up to you if you’ll tell me.”
“cheollie,” you set aside your things, careful not to spill any dinner. seungcheol watched you carefully. it had been your night to cook, right? not his? “i’m not mad at you.”
“you are!” he pouted, “it’s okay to be mad at me, just tell me what i did wrong--”
“why do you think i’m mad?”
“you didn’t kiss me when you came home,” he said. “so that means you’re mad at me. i want to fix whatever i did,” he drew closer to you, pulling you by the waist. “so let’s talk about this like adults,” he smiled. “okay?”
you cracked a smile, snorting. “oh my god. cheol, you’re so cute,” you leaned in, pressing a quick peck against his lips. “baby, i had a lot on my mind,” you brushed his hair back from his eyes, “okay? you didn’t do anything. i was trying to figure out dinner.” you paused for a moment, “i don’t always kiss you when i come home, do i?”
“you do!” he whined. “you always give me a kiss when you come home and i look forward to it. name one time you haven’t.”
“today--”
“that doesn’t count,” he whined, squeezing your hip. “before then.” when you came up short, he drew back, “see! you can’t. you always give me a kiss.”
“then c’mere and i’ll give you an extra one, you dork.”
yoon jeonghan
jeonghan had been curled up on the couch when you came home from work and immediately went to change. it wasn’t the first time you’d do it: he didn’t blame you for wanting to get dressed in something far cozier than your work clothes. he called out that he ordered dinner tonight because he didn’t feel like cooking, and you had said that was fine.
you sat down at the other end of his couch, joining in half-way through the movie he’d been half-heartedly watching.
and you did nothing.
jeonghan watched you carefully, trying to figure out if you were mad at him or if you were just stressed.
he cleared his throat soon enough, and you had looked up with a hum. he sat up, scooting over to sit next to you. “are you forgetting something?”
you furrowed your brow, racking your brain. “no? was i supposed to get something on my way home?”
“nope,” he hummed. he drew a little closer, leaning in to press a kiss against the corner of your mouth. “welcome home,” he smiled. “how was your day?”
when you immediately set off on a small rant, he understood. even if he wanted to tease you about forgetting to kiss him when you came home (a highlight of his day--right next to the kiss you two shared whenever you parted ways for the day), he’d let it slide... this time, at least.
joshua hong
joshua noticed that you hadn’t kissed him when you came home. it didn’t bother him in the slightest, actually: he wasn’t owed any kisses from you immediately, even if he loved the way you’d brush your lips against his for a quick peck. he watched you as you immediately went into the kitchen to relieve your stress through cooking (he always thought it was cute how focused you’d get), and set aside his book to trail after you. you pulled out ingredients, already with a recipe in mind as you searched for a cutting board.
“how was your day?” he asked you, leaning against the wall. “stressful?”
you looked up. despite the fact you’d been acting normally, no slamming of items or anything to give you away, he seemed to read you with ease. “how did you know?”
he smiled, stepping closer to you and pressing a quick kiss to your cheek. “i can tell,” he teased, turning to get out the extra cutting board to help chop ingredients. “you wanna fill me in while we cook?”
he liked the little smile that tugged at your lips, and watched you set something in front of him with instructions on how to cut it. “yeah,” you said, hip bumping against his playfully. it was cute how a question and a kiss lightened your mood. “thanks, honey.”
wen junhui
you always kissed when jun came home. it was always just a little peck on the lips before you asked about his day, and then he’d ask about yours and that was that. the exceptions were when you were stressed and when you were mad at him (and when he was occasionally upset with you, he’d just turn away from your kiss and you’d take that as a signal to mean he didn’t want to talk just yet). jun began to run back through the day, through your earlier texts where you seemed fine (potentially a lie now that he was focusing on it), trying to calculate the moment things went wrong.
he came up short, and he turned to watch you as you moved about the kitchen to get a drink. he noticed the way your brow was furrowed as you poured yourself a glass of water, the gears turning. he finally spoke up a moment later with a cautious “honey?”
you looked up. “yeah?”
“are you okay?”
“... yeah?” you said again, this time more visibly confused. “a little tired, but i’m fine.”
“oh.”
and you could read jun easily enough. “why do you ask?” you leaned against the counter. “did i do something?”
“ah--no--i just--” he paused for a moment. “you always kiss me when you come home.”
“oh!” you perked up, already making your way over to him. “that’s what was missing...”
and then you kissed him, a few seconds longer than you usually did. you drew back for a moment to gaze at him, and then gave him another quick peck on the lips.
“there we go,” you said softly. “better?”
he smiled back at you. “yeah,” he said, hands resting at your waist. “better.”
kwon soonyoung
it had been a literal hour (soonyoung was counting) since you came home and you hadn’t said a word to him or given him a little kiss. did he do something? were you reserving your kisses? were you sick? soonyoung had already read back through his messages to you earlier where he asked you to get more cereal on your way home--you seemed fine there. did he bother you? he could have run to get it himself, sure, but you’d be passing by the store on your way home anyway...
obviously, this meant work was stressing you out. he pouted as he started looking through takeout options on his phone. if you were stressed, then you should have told him so he could be the doting boyfriend he always wanted to be with you. you cared for him, it was his turn to care for you. and maybe soonyoung sulked a little, too, as he started putting in your favorite order from your favorite place because all you had to do was say you were tired. he would have run to the store. you could tell him things. all you’d said when you came home was that you were taking a nap and the two of you could figure out dinner later.
well. he’ll show you. his eyes glimmered as he confirmed the order and immediately started to set things up for a cozy night on the couch. pillows, blankets, your favorite drinks: everything so that he could pamper you.
you’d stumbled out of your shared bedroom at the sound of the buzzer going off, watching soonyoung collect the food and happily make his way back over to the couch. “soonie?”
he looked up. “are you hungry?” he smiled at you. “i ordered your favorite.”
your gaze drifted over to the couch. “am i forgetting something?”
“nope,” he said, walking over and taking you by the hand.
he guided you back to the couch, setting down the food before he sat with you. soonyoung pulled one of the blankets around your shoulders before he started to undo the knot in the plastic bag, getting ready to dish out your meal.
“... are you sure?”
soonyoung looked up. “you are,” he said. “but it’s okay.”
“you know i’m bad at guessing,” you pouted. “just tell me what it is.”
soonyoung looked up, tapping his lips for a moment. with a smile and a roll of your eyes, you lean in to press a quick peck against his lips.
only for soonyoung to pull you back in seconds later, peppering your face with kisses with a giggle.
jeon wonwoo
wonwoo didn’t look up from his book as he listened to you go about your usual routine after you came home from work. despite the fact that you almost always kissed him the moment you came home (he learned it was your way of saying “i missed you” early on, and he always thought it was cute), it didn’t bother him when you forgot. sometimes it was stress, but this time wonwoo was pretty sure you were just distracted.
you flopped down at the other end of the couch, now dressed in something comfier than your work outfit. wonwoo looked up from his book, reaching for his bookmark.
“long day?”
you shook your head. “my mom’s birthday is coming up,” you sighed, practically melting against the arm of the couch. “just trying to figure out a present.”
wonwoo nodded. “she likes candles.”
that she does. “we always give her nice candles.”
“because she likes them a lot,” he said. “just ask her what she wants. or ask your dad.”
you nod, shutting your eyes for a moment. and then you popped back up a moment later, brows furrowed. “how did you know i was stressed...?”
“you forgot something.” he smiled at you. he watched the way you thought back over everything, only for your gaze to flicker down to his lips.
you crawled over, pressing a quick kiss against his lips before he smiled at you again. “there.” you said. “better?”
“better.”
lee jihoon
jihoon didn’t even notice at first that you forgot. he knew that you liked to give him a quick kiss when you came home because it was your way of saying “i’m home” to him. sometimes you’d just peck him on the cheek if he was busy, but you always gave him a quick kiss when you came home. he’d been finishing up dinner for the two of you when you came in, calling out to you that he’d be done in a moment. he watched you pass back by, going to sit down at the dinner table when it finally occurred to him that you hadn’t kissed him.
so instead he settled for pressing a tiny kiss onto your temple as he set your plate down in front of you. “how was your day?”
which had set you off on a shot rant about one of your coworkers--the asshole that jihoon already knew by name. jihoon frowned as he watched you rant, stuck in the position of being unable to voice your complaints at work.
he reached across the table, bringing your hand up to his lips so that he could kiss your knuckles when your rant was over. at least he could make you smile with these little moments of affection.
“i love you,” he said quietly, just to remind you. jihoon would rather say it in the things he could do for you--and he knew that you’d always understand. but saying it out loud? or with a kiss?
that made you smile, and jihoon was happy to bring you joy the same way you always did for him.
lee seokmin
seokmin went from “oh, they must be tired” to immediately overthinking the situation over roughly thirty minutes--which was almost the entire time-span of you coming home, taking a long shower, and changing into something cozier for the night. he didn’t notice you hadn’t kissed him until he heard the sound of the shower. he pressed his lips together, thinking over his day. did he forget to get something on the way home? you hadn’t looked around your apartment, so if he did, then you likely wouldn’t know. did he forget to do something? he’d done the laundry when he came home even though it was your turn to do it--he needed some of his shirts cleaned and threw in a few of your things, too. you hated doing laundry. would you be mad that he took over part of it...?
seokmin felt you press your face into his back soon enough while he was making dinner, arms wrapping around him.
“sunshine?” he spoke up. “did i do something?”
you looked up with a hum. “no...? why?”
he could feel the heat rising to his face. “you always kiss me when you come home,” he said. “i guess i started overthinking--”
“oh!” you giggled, moving away from him for a moment. you leaned in, pecking him on the lips. “hi, sunshine.”
he smiled as he looked back to the food he was cooking. “you didn’t have to--”
“i thought i forgot something,” you wrapped your arms around him again, hugging him tightly. “i couldn’t figure out what it was,” you pouted. “you should just tell me from now on when i forget. it feels weird when i forget.”
“i will,” he said with a chuckle. “i love you. i’ll be done with this soon, okay?”
“can i stay here?” you hugged him a little tighter, snuggling in. “i like watching you cook.”
seokmin leaned in to steal one more kiss from you before he let you settle in. “of course,” he said a moment later. seokmin would always be happy to have you close.
kim mingyu
mingyu pouted from the other end of the couch, not hiding his feelings in the slightest. you always gave him a kiss, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to tell you unless you genuinely couldn’t figure it out. had he done something? he was pretty sure he hadn’t--and if he did, then you would tell him. but it wasn’t as if you wouldn’t tell him if you weren’t feeling well. your relationship was built on communication and mingyu knew that.
so he reasoned it out: you simply forgot. and now he was pouting because how do you ask your partner for the kiss they forgot to give you?
“what did the guys say this time?”
he looked up, watching you continue to scroll through social media. “huh?”
“you’re pouting again,” you looked up, that cute smile on your face--the one you always had when you knew what was up with him (or thought you did, in this situation). “usually you pout when your friends tease you too much.”
“they didn’t say anything,” he leaned back into the couch. he tried to stay lighter, to act as though it wasn’t a big deal (because, truthfully, it wasn’t despite how much mingyu was pouting--your kisses brightened his day, but one missed kiss wasn’t the end of the world).
you set down your phone, turning to face him. “mingyu.”
“yes, my love?”
that gave him away a little more, because you were always his baby or his babe. my love was his way of deflecting, and you frowned at it. “what’s wrong?”
“it’s nothing--”
“it’s not nothing if it’s bothering you,” you reached out, taking his hand in both of your own. your fingers curl around his palm, holding it snug, and he smiled at how warm your hands were. “you can talk to me.”
of course you’d take it seriously. “you forgot to kiss me when you came home,” he blurted out without thinking. he was going to turn this into a game, to tease you until you finally figured it out. but mingyu was weak when it came to how earnest you looked, how genuine your care was.
and then you laughed softly, and all sour feelings evaporated. you leaned in, pressing a kiss against the corner of his mouth.
“better?”
he smiled at you, leaning into give you a peck on the lips. he pulled away a moment later to brush a strand of hair away from your face. “now it’s better.”
xu minghao
minghao had walked past you at least six times, trying to figure out what was wrong. and he knew that you had noticed around the third time, because you were now watching him with furrowed brows.
“i’m forgetting something,” he said before you could prompt him with a question. “and i’m trying to figure out what it is.“
you nodded. “okay?”
he muttered to himself, recounting the chores he’d taken over for the day. you’d cooked dinner and he’d done the dishes, he’d moved the laundry earlier from where you set it to wash before you left for work, he’d bought and put away groceries that day... he’d cleaned his brushes, too, since he’d painted when he came home.
“did you call your mom?” you asked, setting down your phone on the table. “you said you wanted to today.”
did he? minghao felt like the day was turning into a blur at this point. he paused for a moment--he did because he called her while he was painting. he pressed his lips together, trying to think back on when he started feeling off.
and then he looked at you, and it clicked. he made his way over, leaning in and kissing you on the lips.
“there.” he said. “you didn’t kiss me when you came home.”
and he watched you smile, looking away bashfully. “really, hao?”
“you always do,” he said, sitting down across from you. “i like it. it’s cute,” he reached for your hand, playing with your fingers. “it’s like you’re saying ‘i missed you’ to me.”
“i’ll make sure i won’t forget next time,” you teased. “didn’t know you were the type to care about that.”
he smiled at you. “i always look forward to your kisses,” he teased back, watching the flustered look cross your face again. it’s a quiet you won’t beat me at this game from him, even if he did like the shy smile that crossed your face.
boo seungkwan
seungkwan stared at you the couch as you were cooking, and he was pretty sure you were starting to notice. there were a few things seungkwan knew about you:
1. you always gave him a kiss when you came home because you liked kissing him and you missed him while you were work. source: you had told him that yourself.
2. the only times you wouldn’t kiss him were if you were upset with him (usually you took a little while to cool off) or if you were sick. source: he’d experienced both, especially after the time he came down with a bad cold after you kissed him without thinking. he blamed the cold on vernon anyway and said you should just kiss him whenever you want to--sick or not.
3. you wouldn’t tell him that you were mad at him at first. you’d tell him you’d want to be left alone (which you so far hadn’t done) and that you’d talk to him later.
which meant that he must have pissed you off if you were punishing him for whatever he did rather than telling him you wanted space. seungkwan would give you space if you asked for it. obviously, if you’re ignoring him like this, he’d crossed a line somewhere. and as caring as your boyfriend was...
“if you’re mad at me, then just say it to me instead of acting like this.”
... he didn’t always think ahead. you looked up, brows drawing together as you stared at him. dinner had been quiet, sure, but work was draining for both of you. that had been your assumption, at least.
“i’m not mad at you, seungkwan.” you turned back to the dishes you were washing. “i’m just tired--”
“you don’t have to lie to me,” he got up, making his way over so he could talk to you more personally. quieter, too: he didn’t like the idea of neighbors listening in and the two of you had left a window open to help cool down the apartment. “if you’re mad, then tell me what i did so we can talk about it again.”
you dried your hands off. “kwannie. my boo,” you turned to him. “why do you think i’m mad at you?”
“you didn’t kiss me when you came home,” he said. “and you didn’t tell me you wanted space. i just assumed--”
you reached up, cupping his face. “i forgot,” you admit casually enough. “does that mean you look forward to my kisses?”
seungkwan pulled your hands away, pouting at the implication that he wouldn’t. “of course i do. you know that.”
you caught him by the hand when he went to go sulk on the couch. “then let me make up to you.”
“i want two.”
you stared at him. “huh?”
he looked back at you, a playful glimmer in his eyes.  “you have to make up for it by giving me more than one kiss,” he said.
you giggled, leaning in. “gladly.”
chwe vernon
vernon, to put it simply, didn’t really care either way. yes, he loved your kisses and he liked the cute look in your eyes whenever you’d peck him on the lips, but he wasn’t going to be offended if you didn’t feel like doing it. if anything, it’d tip him off to check in on you and make sure that you were going okay. so he made you hot chocolate and approached where you’d been reading on the couch, acting as casual as he could.
you looked up from your book, giving him a once-over. you were used to vernon being sweet, but hot chocolate was a rarer thing. vernon in the kitchen in general was rare. “hi?”
“you look tired,” he lied. “i thought i’d help.” he set the mug down before snuggling up close to you. “you wanna talk?”
he could see you think it over, gaze averted as you pressed your lips together. he liked how expressive you could be sometimes (after all: you always liked his face journeys, maybe the two of you were meant to be based off those alone), and he always found your thinking face cute.
“just tired from work,” you snuggled into his side, book set aside with the page dog-earred. you draped an arm around him, all but pulling yourself into his lap. he instead just wrapped an arm around you, bringing you in as close as he could. “that’s all, babe.”
he pressed a kiss into your temple. “i figured. you can rant if you need to.”
“are you sure?” you rested your head on his chest, eyes fluttering shut as you listened to his heartbeat for a moment. “i feel like all i do is complain.”
“did someone say that to you?”
you stiffened up. caught. “yeah...”
“rant away,” he said, after stealing a quick kiss from you. “i’ll listen. that’s what i’m here for.”
lee chan
sometimes you swore your boyfriend was a brat. you’d walked past him on your way to change after work, and chan immediately called out an “i love you!” from the kitchen. normally, you’d assume that this was his way to enticing you to take over dinner (”it always tastes better when you help!”), but he’d called it out two more times while you were changing.
you called back that you loved him, too, and went back to finding one of your comfier hoodies.
and then the door opened and chan was standing there, apron still on and slightly pouty. “i love you?”
and you stared at him for a moment. “... i love you, too?”
“no, that’s not--” he sighed heavily and made his way over, kissing you on the lips. “i thought that was your way of saying it. you forgot to kiss me.”
that... technically wasn’t wrong. your kisses to chan when you came home were your way of saying “i love you” to him without saying it, and chan would always reply with a “i love you, too,” before he went back to whatever he was doing.
you rolled your eyes, pulling him back in for another kiss. “you’re such a dork.”
“but i’m your dork,” he said with a smile. and then something clicked in his mind, and he tore away from you. “oh, shit, the food--“
(and thankfully, he got there in time to save it. you kissed him after dinner as thanks.)

Bambi's note: Hello everyone! I recently took a bit of a break as I had some things that I just had to take care of. But, while I was gone, I kept thinking about SeungCheol so here is what was in my mind all this time while I was gone. It is a bit longer than usual, but trust me, it's worth it.

You used to love the night. Now, you hated it more than anything.
You worked hard all day at an office job that had you thinking often if it was worth quitting it or not before always deciding that in today's economy, you needed this job.
So getting home after work should be what you look forward to, right?
You wished.
You would often return home from work in a daze, kicking off your shoes before you fell face first into your sofa, screaming your heart out into the cushions before you would finally go about your night routine: take a shower, cook dinner, clean up, mentally prepare yourself for work tomorrow, and finally sleep. But, as of recently, that last part didn't seem to come to you so easily. You would seemingly toss and turn for hours on end, your body not wanting to give in and let you rest like you ever so desperately wanted.
You would eventually sit up, put on a hoodie and shorts, grab your car keys, and go for a drive. You don't know why you often went for a drive to clear your head before you slept, the idea coming to your head after watching a random late night show and a celebrity talked about doing it. You then became instantly influenced and now it became a habit.
You felt at ease as you passed the street lights at a leisurely pace, some random R&B playing through your car's speakers as you admired the night scenery. You had to hand it to that celebrity; you did feel much calmer than before. You felt like you were in a movie. You often wondered why life couldn't be like this often, why your mind couldn't just let you rest without having to drive around the empty streets. It was as if your mind was searching for something that the empty night roads could only answer.
As you pulled up to a red light, preparing to go home before your thoughts became even deeper, you heard the sound of a familiar rumble of a motorcycle. You turned your head to the side to see a beautiful black motorcycle pull up beside you, the city lights reflecting off of it's surface as a man sat perched on it. You always saw that same motorcycle out during your nightly drives, offering the man a friendly wave before going your separate ways when the light turns green. It somehow comforted you knowing that someone else was up so late, needing a night drive too.
Once you arrived home, you tossed away your keys before dragging your finally tired body back to your bed, getting comfortable back in your sheets before closing your eyes with a small smile on your face as you finally fall asleep.
~.~
"Fuck"
Your voice was just above a whisper as you felt his hands move up your legs, pressing your hips back down against the mattress as his long tongue moves along your wet slit before dipping into you, curling the tip of his tongue as you arch your back. It felt so good, your eyes closing as you feel the man moaning against you, his deep voice praising you as he confidently eats you out. You can't help but grab his hair, your eyes still closed as your legs tighten around his head, your hips rutting against his face as you felt your orgsam approaching quickly.
"Yes, Yes"
Right before your orgsam can fully wash over you, though, your eyes snap open to the sound of your alarm clock letting you know that it's time to get ready for work. You sigh before tossing your head back in frustration against your pillow, your body slowly calming down from the heat of your dream before you sit up again. As you ran your hands through your hair, your mind flashes back to the dream you were ripped from. It all felt so real, yet not.
"I can't keep having this dream"
You've been having the same dream with the same mystery man for a while now. All you could remember seeing was his muscular arms and his muscular chest and legs, but never his face. You could even remember his blonde hair, but that's it. You often wondered why you never saw his face, but knew that whoever your mind had conjured up was good with his tongue and hands, always driving you so close to an orgsam right before you woke up.
You sighed as you finished getting ready for work, your mind (and body) thinking about that man and the night dream you were going to have again.
~.~
"Maybe he was someone I had seen in a movie before?"
You sat in your car once more as you tried to figure out who that man was. You didn't even try to sleep tonight, deciding to go straight for the night drive so that you could get more sleep. You bit your lip as the sunset slowly turned into night as you drove, your mind busy as you tried to piece together the man in your mind from the parts of him you did see; his muscular arm and biceps, his veiny hands, his blonde hair, his strong body...
"Shit, really?" You cursed softly as you noticed your fuel light come on, letting you know that you need to stop and get fuel soon. You sigh, turning into a nearby gas station. Maybe you were just over thinking it, maybe he was just some wet fantasy your mind thought of out of thin air. You move out of your car, going inside to pay before returning outside.
As you walk outside, you suddenly notice the same jet black motorcycle you always see out on the road at night parked in front of your own car at a different pump. This was your first time seeing it so up close and in an actual light other than the faint street lights and moonlight. You couldn't help but admire it as you walked closer, noticing how clean yet sleek it looked. You didn't understand why you were so suddenly interested in the motorcycle, but you couldn't look away. You slowly reached out to touch it, the tip of your finger moving along the seat as you felt a shiver move through you.
"Do you like it?" You jump at the sound of a deep male voice, turning to face the man, an apology already half way out of your lips when your eyes meet the face of the nightrider.
You couldn't help but pause when you met his face, softly cursing under your breath as your mind pieced together where you mind was getting the random man in your dreams from. You admired his tight white tshirt, his muscular arms and biceps on display along with his tight jeans. Your eyes moved around him, noticing his gloved hands, one hand holding his black leather wallet while the other held his matching black helmet. When your eyes soon moved back up to meet his eyes again, you noticed his blonde hair blowing in the wind, one of his eyebrows raised at your silence and lack of response.
He was the man your mind had kept putting into your dreams.
You jumped again when he cleared his throat, another apology leaving your lips as you closed your eyes, trying to ignore the memories of your wet night dreams, your mind now placing his face on the figure that was often in between your legs.
You needed help.
While you apologized, the man chuckled, shaking his head before he walked closer to you, placing his helmet down onto his bike handle before placing both of his hands onto your shoulder, waiting till you opened your eyes before he spoke, his voice deep as he says "It's alright. You can admire it all you'd like, princess."
You felt your knees almost buckle at not only his voice, but the way he called you princess. Your mind then flashed back to a dream where you faintly heard his voice as he kissed up your thighs, whispering "you look so pretty for me, Princess. It's time to feel good." You originally thought your mind was just choosing a voice it knew you found sexy, but after hearing it from his mouth, it made you wonder not only when you heard his voice, but how your mind knew to add it to the dream.
"So, you're the woman I keep passing by late at night when I go on my nightly rides, huh?" You snapped out of your thoughts as you nodded, noticing how he was now admiring you car. It wasn't anything too special, but was a pretty white, shinning compared to his dark motorcycle. "Yeah, you must be the guy who always stops at the same stoplight as me right before I go home." You chose to hold back mentioning how he was also the man in your dreams getting your near your orgsam right before you woke up. You didn't want to deal with that embarrassment.
He nodded, his mind flashing back to the many nights he's pulled up by your car, looking over to see you give him a tired yet friendly wave before the light turned green. He always appreciated your kindness, even though you were always so tired. He often felt worried about you, though, sometimes thinking about getting off his bike to check on you, but never doing so. But, now that you were right in front of him, he couldn't help but admire you. You looked so different in the brighter lights than in your dim car and street lights, no, you looked much happier.
You suddenly held out your hand, not wanting this moment to be wasted as you introduced yourself to him. He smiled at you before his larger hand gently cupped yours, shaking it as he said "Nice to finally meet you, Y/N. I'm SeungCheol." You smiled at his own smile, both of your hands still holding each others for a bit longer before you slowly removed it from his, laughing softly as SeungCheol let out a small "ah" in embarrassment before chuckling. He seemed so sweet despite what you may have thought due to his choice of vehicle. You needed to learn to not judge a book by it's cover, you guessed.
As you both began to pump gas, you both made small talk, getting to know one another and enjoying each other's company. It felt nice, almost natural as you both spoke. Soon SeungCheol finished pumping gas into his motorcycle, moving to lean against the pump as you both continued talking. He felt no need to speed off as no one else was there and he wanted to get to know you more. He smiled as you laughed at something he said before he decided it was time to ask the question that was on his mind since he first saw you out driving at night.
"So, Y/N, if you don't mind me asking, why do you drive around so late at night?" You hummed at his question before you shrugged, turning to face him as you put your gas pump back. "As of lately, I haven't really been able to sleep well, so I just started driving. It helped me clear my head, so I guess I just kept doing it I guess."
"Is it because of your dreams?" At SeungCheol's question, you instantly shake your head, making him laugh. If only he knew, you thought.
"So you're just trying to get tired? Ah, well you must have some great dreams then" SeungCheol watched your face at his words, noticing how your cheeks seem to heat up at his comment. He couldn't help but feel more interested, a playful smile moving onto his lips as he asks "what are you dreaming about anyways, Y/N?" You at first don't respond, not wanting to give away that you had been dreaming about him for the past couple of weeks.
"What about you? Why do you ride so late at night?" You shake off his question with one of your own, making him chuckle. He obliges, though, saying "Well, I like how empty the roads are at that time. I sometimes get a bit anxious about riding around so many people or high traffic areas, so I just ride then." You nod, meeting his eyes again with a smile before he walks closer to you, a small smirk on his face as he notices your eyes moving to once again look over his body. There was something about you that he couldn't shake, it made him feel excited, hot, wanted.
"So, are you going to tell me what you've been dreaming about or do I have to guess, Y/N?" You couldn't help but bite you lip as SeungCheol continued to walk closer to you, making you back up against your car. You suddenly felt your back become pressed against your car as his strong chest pressed against yours, his gloved hands moving to press against your hips, pressing you fully against the car as his eyes met yours, slowly darkening as he repeated his question, this time slower. You felt your body heat up due to the contact and the way his eyes met yours, your mind constantly thinking back to your dreams. With how forward he was being and with how good his hands felt on your hips, your mind felt all too cloudy to even think about what you said next.
"How about I show you?"
~.~
The front door swung open as your lips once again locked with SeungCheol's, his helmet and riding jacket becoming discarded somewhere on the floor as your hands grip his face, pulling him into you as he kicks the door to your house closed. You felt like you were in one of your nightly wet dreams, your mind feeling light headed as his hands roughly gripped your thighs before picking you up, wrapping your legs around his waist as his tongue meets yours, the kiss becoming loud and wet as he gruffly asks against your lips "bedroom. Where, angel?"
You pointed in the direction of your bedroom, not even bothering to remove your lips from his as he chuckles, carrying you in the direction of the bedroom, kicking the door open before placing you against the wall. SeungCheol felt like he had to feel more of you, not even bothering to carry you to the bed, beginning to strip you against the wall as his lips moved down your neck. You gasp as his teeth meets your neck before his dreamy tongue moved to soothe the bite, his hands moving to toss away your top and sweats, leaving your pressed against him wearing nothing but your underwear.
"Damn, baby, you should've just told me you were just dreaming about me like this. I would've pleased you right there in your car" You moaned at his words, his kisses moving across your neck before he pulled back, pulling you up higher against the wall with a deep grunt before diving back in to press kisses against the tops of your breasts. "I wouldn't have made you wait till you fell asleep to feel so good, baby"
"Fuck, SeungCheol" you gasp as he carried you finally over to your bed, placing your back in the middle of the bed before his lips met yours again, his hands busy with removing your underwear. He took his time kissing down your body, moving to lay his stomach against the bed as his hands moved up your bare legs, spreading out your legs for him before he pressed a small kiss against your clit, making you hum. "Tell me, princess, did I make you feel good in your dream?" His voice sounded so deep as he hooked his arms underneath your legs, keeping you open for him as he blew onto your wet pussy. You squirmed at the feeling making him chuckle deeply before he began to press kisses and bites to the inside of your thighs, slowly moving up your thigh before switching to the other. He wanted to make you wait and enjoy every moment of this. He wanted to make all your dreams come true and make new ones too.
"Did I lick and bite your thighs just like this baby?" he asked against your legs, waiting for you to give him a nod before he whispers "good girl" against your thighs before he moved closer to your pussy once more, taking in a moment to admire how you look before he says "I'm about to make you feel so much better than in that dream, baby"
You have no chance at reacting as his tongue moves up your pussy slowly before he moans at your taste, his tongue soon moving in-between your lips as he takes his time tasting you, getting to know your wet pussy to make sure he made you feel so good. He moaned as he felt your hands moving into his hair, gripping his blonde locks as your hips try to move, trying to feel more of his tongue in you as you moaned loudly. He was right, this did feel so much better than in your dreams. You gasped as his tongue slowly pushed into you, curling the tip of his tongue as his thumb moved to play with your clit, your louder moan of his name echoing in the bedroom loudly as he fucked you with tongue.
"That's it, princess, feel good on my tongue. Use my fucking tongue and face" Your back arched a bit as his tongue moved faster before allowing you to ride his tongue until he felt your moans become slightly higher pitched, showing him that you were close. He chose to speed up, his thumb that was on his clit moving faster as you came. SeungCheol watched as your back arched, his tongue leaving you for a moment before his tongue moved to clean you up, not wanting to leave anything behind. Your hand grip his hair tighter as your eyes closed, your legs still shaking due to the force of the orgsam before your felt one of his hands moving slowly up your stomach, pressing down against your body. Your eyes opened as you felt his hand keeping your body firmly against the bed while his now messy hair and face resting against your shaking thighs, a small smirk on his wet lips.
"I need you to stay still for me, babygirl. I gotta prep you for me, okay?" He smirked, pressing another kiss to your clit, chuckling as he heard you whimper his name. "Angel, if you can't handle that, what makes you think that you can handle more than that, even my cock?" He smirked more, his free hand moving slowly along the outside of your thighs, enjoying how your legs seem to shake more at his touch. "So shaky, baby"
He chuckled before pushing his middle finger slowly into you, watching as your back arched at the feeling. He gently cooed you before he leaned down to press another kiss to your lips, giving you the opportunity to taste yourself on your lips. "I gotta stretch you out for me. If you can't handle my fingers, what makes you think you can handle my cock?"
"I can handle it, SeungCheol. I know I can" Your voice came out so desperate, so whinny, so hot
How could SeungCheol not think you could take it after you did all of that.
"Oh my fucking god, SeungCheol" You gasped, your hips raising slightly under his arm as he adds another finger into you, both of his fingers curling immediately in you as he begins to fuck you with his fingers, his mouth wrapping around your clit. "You're doing so good, angel, just take some more, ok?" He doesn't wait for you to respond, though, adding one more finger before he picks up his pace, his mouth busy with licking and sucking on your clit. He knew you could take it all. You had been dreaming about him all this time, so surely your body was willing to adjust to him, especially when he's hitting your spot so good.
As your hands gripped the sheets, his eyes moved up to watch your chest rise and fall at a fast pace, your next orgsam about to wash over you as he continues to hit your spot, giving your clit a harsher suck before he sits up, diving his fingers into you repeatedly as you cum. As you grip his broad shoulders, he watches you face as you slowly come down from your high, his fingers slowly leaving your wet pussy as some of your juices leak from inside you, pooling underneath you on the sheets.
You felt like you were on a cloud that was past cloud 9, your mind completely fuzzy as SeungCheol placed a kiss onto your cheek before standing up from the bed. Before you could whine at his body leaving yours, you notice him slowly removing his top, showing off his large peck and toned body before he removes his bottoms, tossing them away somewhere in the room before he removed his boxers, finally letting you see the object of all of your dreams.
"Is it just as good as you dreamed about, baby?" He asks with a charming smile, climbing on the bed in between your legs before he flips you over. You nod, feeling drunk as your cheek rests against a nearby pillow. You couldn't even form words at this point, feeling as if you could drift away, which SeungCheol chuckles at. His hand moves up your back slowly, feeling every curve of your back before he reaches your head, cupping your jaw from behind as you feel him press his hard cock against your ass. "No falling asleep baby. I still need to make your dreams come true." You nodded, SeungCheol chuckling at your distant look in your eyes.
"Did I already fuck you dumb, angel? Maybe I need to fuck you to you have no choice but to sleep, huh?" He presses as few kisses to your back before he grabs your hips, helping you move onto your knees before his hand move back to your back, pushing your upper body back against the bed as he says "Gotta fuck this pussy just right baby. Gotta show you that this is all not a dream, baby no" You can tell he's no longer even talking to you, slowly pushing into you. As he does, you moan loudly into the pillow, SeungCheol's next words coming out in a mixture of a moan and growl.
"Gotta fuck you better than dream me did. Dream me doesn't got shit on me, baby"
Your mind barely had time to put together SeungCheol's words as he began to move his hips, starting off slow so that you could feel every single inch of him before he sped up, his hand moving to press against your back. Your moans were muffled into the pillow as you tried to for words and thoughts, but with how he was fucking you, there was no way you could. Heck, you didn't even want to know what you would even say to him.
SeungCheol was more concerned with fucking you just right, his grunts and moans mixing with yours as he wrapped his hand around your hair, tugging your head to the side so more of your moans could be heard and not hidden in the pillow. At the sight of your dreamy look in your eyes and your mouth open as your pleasured moans slip from your mouth, he chuckles before cooing "That's it, baby. Am I fucking you dumb? You seem to like how I got you right now. Am I better in real life than in your dream?"
At your louder moans and how your cunt fluttered around his cock, he can't help but let out a strained chuckle before a louder moan, smashing his lips into yours as he begins to speed up. He could tell you were getting close, but he wanted to make you feel so good.
He pulled out for a moment, flipping you over to your stomach so he could see your face before pushing back into you before he kept moving faster, his hand moving to grip your jaw before he met your eyes with a dark eye before he says "that's it, Y/N, come on. Cum for me, cum all over this cock" As you came, your back arched as his lips moved to kiss your cheek and stomach before his own pleasure washes over him, stuffing his face into your neck as he cums. As SeungCheol presses himself against you, he kisses your neck before he whispers "that felt so good."
He soon pulls back to see your face, chuckling when he sees your dazed look and how satisfied you look. He smiles before kissing you again, rubbing your arms before he slowly pulled out, going to grab a rag before cleaning you up. You felt your body react to every movement or touch, your body super sensitive yet buzzing with the afterglow. You never felt so good.
SeungCheol soon returned to your side, laying down next to you as you immediately move to cuddle against him. After a few moments of silence, he soon clears his throat before saying "I, uh, don't know if you're asleep or not, but I'd love to take you out sometime."
"I'd love to" you hummed, pressing a kiss to his chest peck before falling back against his body, feeling sleep slowly move over you as you feel SeungCheol's lips press against your forehead before whispering "Goodnight, Y/N. Dream about me."

"Choi Seungcheol, if I may ask a personal question?" The interviewer asked.
Seventeen's leader froze for a brief second before giving an easy smile and nod. "You may."
"Tell me, what is the most important thing in your life?"
Jeonghan snickered under his breath. "Man, we're going to be here forever!"
Seungcheol rolled his eyes before answering the question, "For starters, my family, though my brother sometimes gets on my nerves. And then I'd have to say Seventeen. I couldn't imagine my life without either of them. They're my family, whether by blood or not."
"You're so cheesy!" Junhui groaned and shook his head.
"He loves us! We're his favorite!" Hoshi proudly grinned.
Seungcheol rolled his eyes. "You guys are obnoxious! I'll take it all back!"
"Too late! You love us!" Hoshi shot back.
Joshua nudged his shoulder with a teasing smile. "You're still forgetting someone."
"Forgetting someone?" The interviewer leaned in a little with an encouraging smile.
Seungcheol looks down at his lap, a shy smile on his lips and his fingers anxiously twisting in his fingers in his lap. "They're talking about my girlfriend."
"She's more than your girlfriend!" Vernon piped up.
"They're practically soulmates." Joshua explained.
"He never stops talking about her!" Jeonghan added.
The interviewer gives Seungcheol an encouraging nod to continue. "Tell us more about her."
Though he knows he shouldn't, he does anyway, "She's special in her own unique way. I like to say she has this uncanny ability to be at the right place at the right time. Like when I first met her."
"Is that so?"
He nods. "I met her a couple years ago. She was working backstage of a music show and she had pulled me aside to fix my jacket and hair. I swear, I could've melted into a puddle right then and there. She was so kind and her touch was so gentle and her eyes practically were sparkling. I don't usually believe in love at first sight, but that day I knew I did."
"See? I told you they were soulmates." Joshua joked, earning a laugh from the other members of Seventeen.
"It wasn't until after she wished me good luck that I asked if she would be watching us perform. She said she watches everyone perform and that she'll be watching us as well. I'll admit, I put extra effort into my performance that night. After we won and we were getting ready to leave, I found her cleaning a green room and gave her my number before running off. She texted me on the way home."
"She probably felt bad for the dork who was trying and failing to flirt with her." Minghao snickered under his breath.
"He was so bad at flirting when they first started talking!" Seungkwan explained. "It was painful to watch!"
Seungcheol rolled his eyes. "As you can imagine from their reactions, they teased me for my relationship with her and how much I talked about her. But eventually, they started begging me to meet her. I was nervous at first, since it's a big step, but eventually I brought her to meet the group. And they loved her immediately!"
"She's nicer than you!" Dino piped up with a cheeky grin.
"She's so sweet!" Mingyu nodded. "We love having her around."
Jeonghan dramatically sighed before saying, "She's practically taken my spot as mom of Seventeen. I've been replaced!"
"You have not!" Seungcheol shot back. "Remember? As soon as you brought that up, she told you that she could never replace you and told you how important you are to Seventeen. She totally inflated your ego beyond belief that day."
"And I thank her everyday for it." Jeonghan replied with a smile.
Turning back to the interviewer, Seungcheol continued his story. "That was the day I realized how much I love her and I told her that very night. It's also when we had our first kiss."
"So romantic!" Hoshi wistfully sighed before bursting into giggles.
The interviewer nodded at their response. "Sounds like you love her very much. But to be honest, there have been some rough times, haven't there? I'm sure dating a celebrity such as yourself is no easy feat."
Seungcheol gives a small wince. "Well, yes, we've had our moments where things don't go according to plan. But we always work through our conflicts to the best of our abilities."
"Like the World Tour Incident." Jihoon interjected.
The rest of Seventeen shudders at the thought, making the interviewer intrigued. "Please, tell us what this incident was about!"
Seungcheol winces once more before beginning the story. "This world tour was about two or three months, and I had never been away from my girlfriend for that long. I was sure we were going to be fine, but I misjudged how long the time was and how far apart we'd be. By the time we wrapped up the third week of performances, I thought she had forgotten all about me-"
"She didn't call him like twice in that time." Junhui explained.
"Regardless!" Seungcheol snapped. "I thought this was her way of saying we were over, so I went with it. We were over, that's it. And I was in such a dark place that I threw myself into my work. I don't really remember what happened during that time, but from what the rest of Seventeen has told me, it wasn't a pretty sight."
"It's best that you don't know." Seungkwan shook his head.
"After two weeks of that, she visited me at our hotel. I was so angry with her and myself, that I was the one who blew her off. I demanded she leave and never see me again." Seungcheol hung his head in shame. "I never should've done that. I don't know what came over me but it was awful. For the rest of the tour I was so depressed, thinking I had gotten rid of one of the only good things in my life."
"And that's when Wonwoo had an amazing idea!" Mingyu piped up and grabbed Wonwoo's arm.
Jihoon nodded. "He invited her to our last concert of the tour and we had her in the front row."
"He almost cried like a baby when he saw her!" Jeonghan teased their leader. "But he put his all into that performance, just so he could impress her like the first day they met."
"And when the concert was over, we made sure she was backstage to be there for him." Vernon nodded.
Seungcheol gave a small smile. "I was so overcome with emotion I just broke down in her arms. I cried for what felt like hours and apologized like my life depended on it. When I got all of that out of my system, she told me how much she loved me and how happy she was that I was coming home. From then on, I knew I would never let our relationship get that bad again. And it never has."
"Their reunion was so sweet, it still brings a tear to the eye." Hoshi pretended to fake cry.
The interviewer nodded. "It sounds like you really love this girl."
"That's an understatement." Chan snorts.
Seungcheol just nodded. "I do. I love her more than anything in the world, plain and simple."
"Any plans for the future of your relationship with her?"
The rest of Seventeen snickered as Seungcheol's smile turned mischievous.
"Oh? Didn't you know? We're getting married tomorrow."

“Hello?”
“Hey...I’m downstairs.”
“Okay, wait for me. I’ll be right down.”
───✱.。:。✱.:。✧.。✰──────✱
“Hey,” Seungcheol says, hair blowing in the gentle breeze.
“Hey you.” You reply quietly, walking over to take a seat on the bench next to him.
He sees your mildly red eyes and frowns, upset. “I’m sorry.”
Your head jerks up at that. “What?” You ask incredulously. “Why are you apologising? You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“For running off like that.” He sighs. “I must have made you upset.”
“I get it, Cheol.” You place a hand on his. “I get why you misunderstood and I’m sorry for that too-”
“No, no! Don’t be sorry! You didn’t know. And I figured I was overreacting because you didn’t feel the-” He stops himself, embarrassed.
“What did you say?” You ask, eyes wide.
“N-nothing!”
“No, tell me. What were you going to say?” You insist.
“I..I mean I like you a lot and I was jealous so that’s why I overreacted! And I know you maybe don’t feel the same so you got confused about why I was so angry and I swear I didn’t want to tell you this way-” He puts his head in his hands.
“Seungcheol-”
“And you can ignore me for the rest of my life! I won’t be mad and I’m literally so sorry you have to hear this-”
“Seungcheol!” You take his shoulders to make him look at you.
“H-huh?”
“Seungcheol… who told you that… I don’t feel the same?” You ask, trying not to smile at his utterly bewildered expression.
“What?”
“I’m not sure if anyone’s told you, and by that I mean Han or Gyu,” you continue, slightly smiling now. “I don’t go out with people I’m not interested in.”
“You-”
“I can literally show you my texts with Han,” you say, shrugging. “I called you the cute library boy at the start, and I freaked out after we had breakfast the other day.”
"But-"
"And the bouquet you got me," You carry on, "The flowers are still alive and just as pretty. I ordered a vase for them, and it came late so I was so worried they were gonna wilt before I got it. I arranged it really nicely, you know."
He blushes at the mention of the flowers, and you laugh at how red his ears have gone. “…Same. The freaking out, I mean,” he admits shyly. “Minghao blocked me after that and didn’t talk to me because I wouldn’t shut up.”
“You’re cute!” You let out a giggle, and reach out to pinch his beetroot-coloured cheeks.
“Stop it,” He pouts. “I still got the wrong idea and it was silly of me not to just ask.”
“Don’t be silly.” You wave his apology off. “I made you misunderstand. So we're even. We were just both being idiots.”
“I’m your idiot.” He suddenly says, and as if it was even possible, you swear he blushes even more. But before he can retract what he said, you nod confidently, reaching out to hug him. He immediately pulls you in, rocking you back and forth and smoothing out your hair.
“Yep,” you say, arms wrapping around his middle. “You’re my idiot. I’m your idiot, too. If we’re both going to be idiots, we may as well be together.”
“So let’s get together,” he says as he suddenly pulls away, eyes wide, in a sudden burst of confidence. A couple days from now, he will scream into his pillow in embarrassment upon recollection. But for now, his smile is so wide it’s hurting his cheeks.
He leans forward, his grin now turning a bit cheeky.
“I hope you have no objections?”
The smile and accompanying nod you give in return is so bright, it beats any sun and moon and gold and promise he’s ever seen.
The sound of your laughter carries on as you launch yourself into his awaiting arms. His eyes squeeze shut as he entwines himself around you, soaking in the bliss and the joy that is you both, together.

Seungcheol's sitting down at his desk. He just made sure you got into the building safely before he trekked back to his own.
The inspiration for his song hits him as soon as remembers the look on your face. The lyrics he pens down in his notebook flow through him like water, so easily and so smoothly it's like he always knew it in the back of his head and in his heart.
But he didn't, actually, not until now. But he knows he'll never forget.
───✱.。:。✱.:。✧.。✰──────✱
The flowers look a little more vibrant to you. Alive, breathing, just being, even as they sit in your vase that came late. You never knew flowers could look this beautiful.
Maybe the magic had a little to do with the sender.
You snap a photo of the flowers again for memory's sake, their shadows dancing against the wall in your darkened room. When you look at the photo, they're beautiful, but they're not the same as the ones you're seeing. You laugh out in relief and joy, and lay back on your bed, eyes already closing from the excitement of tonight.
It's okay if you didn't see it in the photo. You didn't need a photo to remember it, anyway. You'd never forget.

hihihihi omg i love ur writing 🥺🥺🥺 ur thts on husbands seungcheol and wonu spoiling you when you come home after being stuck at work ALL DAY on valentines 🥺👉👈
omg... poly cheolwonu...
the sound of seungcheol cooking dinner for the three of you is absolute heaven next to the way wonwoo's massaging your shoulders. sometimes your job is good (you like it enough to stay, at least), other days...
other days you heavily debate taking up your husbands up on the offer to stay at home and, well, be a homemaker for them. but overall you do like your job enough to stay for now, and it's only somewhat because your guys dote on you whenever you have a particularly shitty day like this. the valentines day plan had always been making dinner together (you and seungcheol; wonwoo always lingered when the two of you cooked) and having a nice night in. the moment seungcheol saw you, though, he'd all but banned you from the kitchen.
"let us spoil you today, okay?" he had said, pressing a lingering kiss against your lips. you've seen seungcheol step up into leadership positions, and you've seen him goofing off with his friends... but you think you'll always favor when he's just tender with you and wonwoo. the softness in his eyes, the tiny smiles, always so loving... even when he turns down wonwoo's offer to help. there's a reason wonwoo and soonyoung were on the 'do not cook' list when they went off with their friends.
wonwoo kisses your forehead when your head lulls back in bliss as he massages your shoulders. "you're tense," he says. "maybe we should have taken minghao up on the spa day offer..."
"i'll be fine."
"call him back later and see if there's anything coming up," seungcheol calls out. "we'll go together."
you almost roll your eyes, but you're not going to turn down a spa trip with your loves. "as long as we're all getting pampered..."
wonwoo chuckles. "you know how he is."
"i do." you lean into his touch. "i love you."
wonwoo folds you into his arms, leaning around to kiss your cheek. he's extra affectionate when you've had long days, and you always appreciate it. "i love you, too."
"what about me?" seungcheol calls back over his shoulder, and you already know he's pouting. "i love both of you, too."
"i'll tell you when you get over here."
barely ten seconds later, he's left the kitchen, launching himself at the two of you. he stays long enough to kiss both of you, murmuring his "i love you"s against your lips. you draw him back in before he can leave you, kissing him again as he leaves you sandwiched in-between him and wonwoo.
and before things can escalate, it's wonwoo who pushes him away. "you're going to burn it."
seungcheol pouts, but kisses you both one more time. "we'll pick this up later."

Waking up in Seungcheol's bed is a lot more relaxing this time.
Partly because Seungcheol has your back pressing against his chest, an arm slung over your body, and his head nestled against yours. You rest an arm over his as you take a deep breath, recalling the memories from last night. The events flash in front of you as if you’re clicking through a view master. From Dae and you drinking to both of you on the floor, to hitting Hajun, to the argument you had with Seungcheol, to having his body moving with yours.
You thought you were going to get closure last night, but you only opened the wound wider. It’s going to be harder to stay away from him. At this point, you don’t want to either. You just need to find a way to stop seeing his business friends every time you see Seungcheol. If anything, you are more willing to find alternatives than completely push him out of your life.
Seungcheol stirs behind you, body untangling from yours to switch sides. You think he’s going to get up, but he just stills again. You peer over your shoulder to look at him. He has his back to you now, so you can’t see his face. You decide to let him rest longer since it’s the weekend, after all.
You carefully climb out of bed and put on the hoodie and boxers he had given you last night. You walk to his bathroom, ready to freshen up, only to remember you didn’t come with anything.
Your eyes land on his toothbrush. You can snoop around until you find a new one, but you don't want to risk his privacy. You can just use your finger… Ah, whatever, you’ll ask him really quickly, then let him go back to sleep.
Padding back to the bed, you carefully kneel in front of him.
Seungcheol has never been unattractive, yet you didn’t find him that handsome initially. Though right now, he looks beyond stunning. Strands of his hair lay in front of his face, and his lips are in their natural downward position. Nothing has changed in his appearance from when you first met him, so why does your heart flutter at the sight of him at this moment?
Sighing at your never-ending thoughts, you reach out and shake him gently.
“Seungcheol?” you ask softly so as to not scare him awake. You expect to have to wiggle him a few more times, but he wakes up instantly. His eyes find yours easily and fill with worry as he starts to sit up. You begin to feel guilty waking him up for a silly toothbrush.
“You alright? Are you hurt?” he asks. His morning voice is as deep as you remember. Although it’s still attractive, you find it cute now. You’d fall asleep around him more just so you could hear his voice the next morning.
You give him a tiny reassuring smile. “I’m okay. I just wanted to know if I could have a spare toothbrush.”
Upon hearing your words, his body relaxes. He sits up fully and swings his legs over the edge of the bed. The covers fall down his body, pooling in his lap. You forgot he is naked. Now with the morning light, you can see his chest clearer. You had felt every inch of it last night, even saw it due to his lamp, but seeing it in a new light is another joy. Or perhaps it’s because your mind isn’t as cloudy.
“Of course, baby,” he rasps. The small chuckle accompanied by his response is low, and you want to hear it again.
Seungcheol steps from the bed, letting the cover fall half on the floor. You shake your head at his carelessness. While he retrieves a pair of sweats from his dresser, you pick up the cover from the floor.
“You could’ve just left it there,” he smiles as he strolls past you into the bathroom. You can’t help but make a mental correction in your daydreams—Seungcheol would wear sweats without a shirt.
“It was going to bother me,” you reply and turn to watch him. He leans down, opens the lower cabinet, and digs around until he lifts an unboxed toothbrush.
“For you,” he says and tilts it in your direction. You take it and free the brush. Seungcheol takes the trash from you as he stands, then points to the toothpaste on the counter. “Feel free to use it, okay?”
You nod. “Thank you. I’ll give you a new one in return,” you reply, starting to prep the toothbrush.
“Don’t worry about it.”
Seungcheol tosses the trash in the bin next to the sink, then pauses in his actions, as if debating on what to do. After a second, he quickly grabs his own toothbrush. You watch him silently while you brush your teeth. Soon, Seungcheol is copying your actions, giving you a smile in the mirror when he catches your stare. Your heart twists with affection, and seeing both your reflections—dressed in casual wear and doing a simple act—is all too domestic.
Almost as if this is something that is normal for you two, but it isn’t. Not liking how comfortable you are starting to feel, you quickly rinse your mouth. Seungcheol reaches down and holds your hair back as you do so. Once you’re done, Seungcheol grabs the brush and places it in the container. He rinses his mouth next before setting his toothbrush down next to yours.
Who knew seeing two toothbrushes next to each other would be the cause of your mental spiral?
You walk from the bathroom and into the living room, trying to find your purse. He follows you slowly.
“You’re not about to make me a one-night stand, are you?” he asks. His voice is playful, but you know it isn’t a rhetorical question.
You think about it, but unfortunately, he’s your ride. The only other person you can call right now is hung over at another person’s apartment.
“I just wanted to see if Dae was okay,” you answer.
“Oh, right,” he says, seeming to have forgotten about her predicament. It doesn’t bother you, though. She isn’t his concern. “I put it over here.”
You turn to see him grabbing it. You walk over, taking it from him before fishing out your phone. Ah, of course. Dead.
Your pout must be evident on your face, because Seungcheol asks, “What’s wrong?”
You flip the phone over to show a black screen.
“No power,” you sigh and toss the useless brick of a phone back into your purse.
Seungcheol glances around, then leaves to grab something from another part of the room. It’s his phone.
He presses a few things on the screen before lifting the device to his ear.
“Hey,” he says and moves to sit on the couch. When he pats the spot next to him, you go over.
“Yeah, she’s fine,” he continues.
From a close distance, you can faintly hear Joshua on the other end.
“That’s good,” Joshua says. “Dae’s up. She wasn’t doing too well earlier, but she seems better now.”
“Speaking of, Yn wanted to talk to her. Can you give the phone over?”
“Sure thing,” he answers.
Seungcheol gives you the phone with a small smile.
“Thanks,” you mutter and bring the phone to your ear. You lean back on the couch so your head is against the armrest. Seungcheol places your legs over his lap and begins massaging your calves. You give him a smile at his actions, his strong hands feeling nice against your skin. The sight of him shirtless doing a mundane act has butterflies forming in your tummy. You’re about to daydream about him, but Dae’s loud voice snaps you away from those thoughts.
“Did I really puke on you?!” Dae gasps on the other side. You pull the device from your ear slightly at the loud noise.
“Yeah, so not only do you owe me a pair of heels, you owe me a whole outfit too,” you tease.
“Pluh-ease, just take something of Seungcheol’s and call it a deal. I’m sure he’s got some designer clothes you can steal.”
Your eyes snap to him at her suggestion. Seungcheol has his focus on your legs, acting like he isn’t listening in, but the smile on his lips tells you he is.
“I don’t need his clothes,” you reply with a huff. “I just wanted to see if you were okay.”
“Considering I’m at a cute stranger’s apartment, in a cute stranger’s room, I’m doing just peachy.”
“You think Joshua is cute?” you ask. Okay, so this isn’t the time for girls talk, but the question leaves your lips before you can stop it.
Dae giggles. “A little. Don’t you?”
Seungcheol’s hands squeeze your legs as if challenging you to say yes.
Despite agreeing with Dae, you answer with a shrug, “He’s not ugly.”
Hopefully, that’s good enough to save your ass.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” Dae concludes.
Your eyes flicker to Seungcheol to see his reaction. There’s a hint of a pout on his plump lips. You hold back a laugh. Still a baby, you think with a shake of your head.
“Hey, did those assholes leave you alone eventually? I started to black out. I don’t quite remember,” Dae wonders.
At the mention of Hajun and Hana, you avert your gaze from Seungcheol.
“Sort of,” you trail off. They didn’t, but you don’t want to bad mouth Seungcheol’s friends in front of him. Not that it probably matters; it’s not a surprise you don’t get along.
“It’s fine. Nothing I can’t handle.” You try to dismiss the topic.
“To an extent, Yn. I know you,” she says, more serious now. “Remember, don’t let them get to you. They’re the real whores. Oh, did they ever take that picture?”
Knowing Dae doesn’t want to let up on the conversation. You start to retract your legs from Seungcheol so you can go to another room. However, he grips your legs so you can’t move. You eye him confused, but he still doesn’t look at you. Sighing, you lay back down.
“I don’t know,” you answer honestly.
“Hm. I think Joshua stopped them. He said when he came out, neither of them had their phones out.”
“T-that’s good.”
“I just wanted to ask in case you saw otherwise,” she explains. “I know what I said before, but you’re right. Seungcheol should really lose them as friends.”
You speak fast before she can dive into the topic further.
“Look, I just called to see—”
“Well, besides that. Was Seungcheol nice to you last night?” she interrupts.
Your hands start to play with his hoodie as you try to ignore the fact he can hear everything. The answer depends on which part of the night she wants to refer to. He was not nice the first half, but the second half… You feel a shiver run down your spine at the thought of you two in bed. His hands and lips over your body as he made you feel so, so good.
Not wanting Seungcheol to question your response, you semi-lie, “Yes.”
“Hm,” she pauses. You can tell she thinks you’re lying by your delayed answer. “Did something happen between you two?”
Yes.
“No.”
Dae giggles. “I knew you liked him! You did the two-person tango with him, huh? You send me off to be babysat so you can have some freaky time.”
“Dae!” you scold and pull your legs from Seungcheol’s lap despite him trying to stop you again.
She gasps on the other line. “You haven’t had se—”
You jolt from the couch and briskly walk to the other side of the room.
“I should get going. I’m glad you’re fine though,” you rush.
“Alright, alright. We’ll talk later about that,” she laughs. “Do you need me to get Joshua to pick you up?” she asks. You finally looked at Seungcheol again. He’s looking at you now, face unreadable. Your heart races a little at not knowing what he’s thinking.
“No, I can get Seungcheol to drop me off.”
“Okay. I’ll be home soon and will probably go back to sleep.”
“Alright. Get back safely,” you reply.
“You too, Yn.”
You hang up the call and slowly walk toward him to give the phone back. You hate how silent it is.
“Pretend you didn’t hear anything,” you tell him.
You expect him to bring up your fight with his friends again, but instead, he asks about another part. One that takes you by surprise.
“You were a virgin?” His voice comes out hushed, but it’s so quiet you have no trouble hearing it. Rather than sounding frightened like some others may, he sounds doubtful. To your disappointment, he even chuckles under his breath.
Before you can completely digest his words, he adds, “So, I wasn’t number sixty-seven?”
Your body halts.
Although you aren’t a virgin, you feel hurt by his implication that you sleep around. It’s then you recall Dae on the phone. You cut her off before she could finish her sentence. You haven’t had sex in a while, having dumped your ex for being a douche and not wanting to hook up with some rando from a bar in the meantime.
“You think I’ve slept with everyone on campus?” you ask, trying to keep your voice steady as you look for your ruined outfit from last night. There’s a sense of foreboding as you await his reply.
“Well, maybe not everyone,” he says slowly and raises his head to look at you. There’s a teasing tone hidden somewhere in that sentence, but you don’t find it funny.
You stare at him incredulously, your movements halting at his words. Is he serious right now? You’re not sure where this is coming from, but you don’t need to hear more. Wherever your outfit is, it can stay there. You don’t care about it that much to last another minute here looking for it.
“Ah, right. I just have people lining up as I keep my legs spread. Oh! But there are always newcomers that enroll. We can’t forget them, so you’re right. Not everyone,” you hiss out, mind ripping up every pleasurable thought you ever had about Seungcheol. All those minutes thinking of him are wasted in a blink of an eye.
“That’s not what I meant,” he replies with a shake of his head, standing up. “I meant you’re just too pretty to have not had se—”
“What a fucking pig,” you berate. “Being pretty doesn’t have anything to do with being a virgin or not. I can be pretty without being a whore.”
Panic rises in his eyes. “You’re right. I didn’t mean—I just… Shit.” He closes his eyes tightly for a moment, but you don’t wait for him to collect his thoughts.
“I see why you let your friends talk shit about me now,” you say as you snatch your purse from where you left it. You lock eyes with him when you continue, “It’s because you agree with them.”
It’s like the light bulb above your head suddenly turns on.
You know it was unlikely he wouldn't ditch those friends, but you thought you could deal with it if you didn’t have to see them. You could visit Seungcheol somewhere in private or with your mutual friends instead. You would have found ways to be with him because your feelings for him were too strong to overlook. Though, now you saw that would never happen. It truly was all an illusion.
And you were right earlier.
He already thinks bad of you.
“That’s not true at all,” Seungcheol urges. “I’m sorry. I was just surprised and joking before. I didn’t use my words correctly. Hear me out, Cherry.”
He definitely did not sound surprised earlier, and his “jokes”… Yeah. His words were ass. And so is he.
You take a deep inhale, fanning the flames so as to not let your heart feel anything but anger.
“Joking... You and those ‘friends’ of yours always tell such hilarious jokes,” you laugh dryly and turn for his door. Recalling you don’t have a car, your gaze lands on his face. Well, since you are already a bitch in his eyes, might as well bring that persona to life.
“Where are you going? You’re not even dressed. Yn, stop! Just stay here, and let’s talk,” he implores, rushing to you.
You forgot you’re just in his hoodie and boxers. Heck, you don’t even have shoes on. None of that matters to you, though.
You quickly whip around to face him.
“I’m so terribly sorry,” you over-exaggerate your apology as you reach behind you. “I can’t stay any longer. My one o’clock fuck is waiting for me.”
Your hand snatches his keys then you’re storming out of his apartment. You hear him yelling after you, but you ignore it while you rush to find his car before he can catch you.
Voices to your right catch your attention, which has you sighing with relief when you see familiar, friendlier faces. You’re not sure how they always pop up around you, but you aren’t complaining for once.
Chan, Jun, and Soonyoung are walking toward you while they chat. They don’t notice you at first, but the sound of your feet hitting the pavement catches their attention.
“Yn?!” Jun exclaims, eyes big at seeing you.
“What are you wearing? Where are your clothes?!” Soonyoung asks. His shocked expression quickly turns into concern.
“Yn’s here?” another voice asks. Jeonghan stands by the driver’s seat of the car the others got out of. He props an arm on the top of the vehicle, his door still open. You’ve never been happier to see his face.
“Yn!” Seungcheol’s voice calls out behind you. You don’t bother looking back and quickly maneuver around the three men to get in the car. Thankfully, it isn’t locked yet.
“Where are your clothes?” Chan asks Seungcheol.
“Jeonghan, get your ass in the car now, or I’m going to burn your legos,” you threaten quickly as you buckle, remembering his precious Lego collection you once saw in his room.
“Aish,” he grumbles and gets in, shutting the door. You quickly lock the doors and then point to the road.
“Drive now,” you demand.
“Woah, just calm down. Why are—”
There is a loud knock at your window, and you see Seungcheol’s face appear.
“Yn, please just come out. I can explain,” he begs.
You glare at Jeonghan, one that is a lot fiercer than you’ve ever given him.
“You think I’m joking about your fucking legos?” you growl, a finger pointing in his direction.
“Seungcheol’s going to beat my ass,” he whines as he starts the car.
“And I’m going to beat yours and burn down your Le—”
“I got it,” Jeonghan huffs and glances at Seungcheol apologetically.
“Jeonghan, I swear if you fucking drive off, I will—” Seungcheol growls from outside the car.
“Sorry, my grandma suddenly needs me!” Jeonghan shouts before he backs out of the spot, slowly at first so he doesn't run over Seungcheol’s feet, not that you care, then speeds out of the parking lot.
You glance in the side mirror, seeing Seungcheol still yelling as the other men watch, confused and shocked behind him. Your eyes finally tear away when they become little specks in the distance. A sigh leaves your lips as you allow your body to sag in the seat, head tilting back.
“There’s a jacket in the back if you want it,” Jeonghan says softly.
You glance back and find it folded on the seat. You grab it, draping it over your bare legs. “Thanks.”
He sighs. “Now, do you want to tell me what that was about?”
“Seungcheol’s an asshole.”
Your reply is curt. You think that’s a good enough reason to leave him in the dust.
“Okay,” Jeonghan answers slowly, “but that was a pretty big fight you two had.”
“Seungcheol’s a really big asshole,” you correct.
Jeonghan chuckles lightly. “Alright. Then explain your attire.”
“Dae puked on me last night; Seungcheol let me borrow clothes.”
“He didn’t give you pants?”
“He did,” you trail off. You don’t want to tell him you just didn’t put them on again this morning. How would you explain how they got discarded in the first place?
He’s silent for a moment, trying to put the puzzle together himself.
“Where’s Dae?” he wonders. You’re grateful he decides to let it go.
“Probably at home by now… Can you drop me off there?” you ask. You can’t go home dressed the way you are. Dae will probably be sleeping, as she told you, but a few loud knocks should wake her up.
“Sure. What’s the address?”
You inform him quickly then glance out the window. The sun is shining and the clouds are out. You can’t remember how it feels outside since you were only focused on getting out of there.
Jeonghan doesn’t say anything for a few minutes, letting the sound of the car on the road fill the empty space.
“Whatever Seungcheol did, I hope he can fix it. I know he cares about you,” Jeonghan comments.
Your gaze drops down to your lap. The hoodie you wear comes back into view. You hate how you can still smell him.
“I don’t think he can,” you reply.
Your mind goes back to what he said to you. Anger was the only emotion fueling you at the time, but now that you’re settling down and your mind is becoming clearer, several emotions creep into your chest.
Betrayal. Distress. Crestfallen.
Jeonghan releases a small breath. “That bad?”
“Yeah, Jeonghan. He really messed up.”
The ride is quiet now. While you are grateful, you actually wish Jeonghan kept talking. At least then, you would be distracted from your thoughts.
Seungcheol was just holding you tenderly hours ago. Your body tingles at the mere memory of his gentle touch. He was acting so sweet toward you. For those blissful hours, you felt like you were his. Was he acting? Had he wanted you for different reasons?
Tears prick at your eyes, but you blink them back. You don’t want to cry in front of Jeonghan. You refuse to.
When you arrive, Jeonghan parks the car and gets out of the vehicle. He comes around to your door and opens it, holding out a hand. For a moment, you imagined his hand is Seungcheol’s. He would always open your door and help you out.
“You don’t have to walk me there,” you say, words mimicking what you’ve told Seungcheol before in the past.
“You’re barely dressed. I’m not risking anything,” he replies. His light, cheerful voice is stern now, and you know he isn’t going to change his mind.
People stare at you strangely in the elevator, but when they peer up at Jeonghan, who stands behind you—something about you hiding your front and him your back—they quickly avert their gaze.
It takes four loud bangs on her door until Dae opens it. Her half-lidded eyes open quickly at your state.
“Am I drunk again? Why does Seungcheol look like Jeonghan?” she asks.
“You’re not drunk. It is Jeonghan,” you reply, then turn to him. “Thank you for driving. I really appreciate it.”
You hope the sincerity in your words is conveyed with your tone. Given the non-cocky smile on his face, you know he understands.
“Even though I’m friends with Seungcheol, know I’m your friend too, Yn. If you need me, you have my number,” Jeonghan says.
You’re not sure if you will ever take him up on his offer since it’s unclear where his loyalties lie between you and Seungcheol, but his intentions are kind, and you’re grateful nonetheless. He starts to walk away but you reach out to stop him.
“Wait,” you quickly say. You pull a set of keys from the hoodie’s pocket. “Give these back to Seungcheol for me? Or toss them in a lake, I don’t care, but take them, please.”
Dread fills Jeonghan’s face when he notices what they’re for. He reluctantly takes the keys from your hand.
“He’s really going to kill me now.”
Tumblr media
Luckily for both you and Jeonghan, Seungcheol does not murder him.
For him, it means he has another day to finish his Lego tower. For you, it means he can finish those flyers he promised you.
“There should be twenty-five in there,” Minghao says while pointing to the stack of papers in your hands.
Minghao and Jeonghan completed the flyers for your show, and you are at the latter’s apartment to pick them up. You flip through them quickly—having already seen mock-ups earlier. There are six of each element plus one extra to turn into Dr. Lim.
“These look great, guys,” you say as you finish looking at them again.
“Thanks,” Jeonghan says. “You need help putting them up?”
You raise your eyebrows at him. “You’re really offering to help more?”
“You’re not that bad to work with,” Minghao chuckles, standing from his seat to grab his bag. He came to see if you needed anything else before his class.
“Speak for yourself, Hao—Ow!”
Jeonghan whines when you smack his arm with the flyers.
“Kidding, Yn,” he grumbles, “but yes, we will help you. You’re our friend.”
Their friend.
After years of just having Dae, it’s odd to think you actually have more friends—a lot of them, for that matter. It’s not like you gained two new friends this semester. No, you gained thirteen. Fourteen, if you count Seungcheol, but is he really a friend? Do friends make your heart soar with just a glance? Are friends able to take your heart and leave you feeling like an empty husk? It doesn’t matter now. He isn’t in your life. If he was your friend then, he isn’t anymore.
“If you leave some here, we’ll hang them up later,” Minghao instructs.
You gaze at him, letting yourself focus on what is happening now. You can sorrow in the privacy of your four walls later.
Sighing, you nod and sort a few flyers out from the stack. You place them on Jeonghan’s coffee table.
“Thanks. Just let me know which buildings you put them up in,” you say. “It’ll just save me time in the future.”
“No problem. Well, I’m glad you like them! I should get going before I’m late,” Minghao replies with a small smile on his face. He gives you both a wave before exiting the apartment.
Once Minghao is gone, Jeonghan looks at you. “What are the plans today?”
You shrug. It probably will consist of finishing bringing your designs to life or maybe taking Seoah to get something to eat. Anything to keep yourself busy from your mind.
“Not sure yet,” you reply.
“You know, I’m kind of hurt you didn’t ask me to be one of your models,” Jeonghan says with a playful smile. “Mingyu’s overrated.”
You laugh lightly, rolling your eyes at his latter comment. “Mingyu has the face and body of a model. You…?”
You trail off as your eyes glide down his body teasingly. Jeonghan sits up when he sees what you’re doing, trying to pose nonchalantly.
“Mingyu doesn’t have this hair, though,” Jeonghan comments. His semi-long locks are tied in a half-up-half-down style. It looks good, but you aren’t going to admit that to him.
“True, and thank goodness for that.”
“Hey!”
You laugh at his reaction. “I just didn’t want to overbook you,” you finally explain. “You were already helping me with these flyers.”
“That’s thoughtful of you,” he answers.
“Don’t get used to it,” you huff and start picking up your purse. It’s getting late, and there’s no reason to stay longer.
“Wait, I have something for you,” Jeonghan rushes.
“I already have the flyers,” you say and gesture to the stack.
He smiles, shaking his head as he stands. “Something else.”
You watch as he jogs to his room. There are sounds of things moving around before Jeonghan yells for you to close your eyes. After arguing for a second, you finally relent.
“Are they closed?” he asks from his room.
“They’re not about to be if you take any longer,” you grumble.
You listen to his footsteps become louder as he approaches. Suddenly something is set in your lap.
When Jeonghan instructs you to open your eyes, you peep down to see a bag. Jeonghan gestures to it when you don't open it right away. Hesitantly, you reach inside.
Your hands meet something textured, and you grip it gently to pull it out.
“H-how’d you get this?” you ask slowly. Your wide eyes don’t mask the surprise you feel upon seeing the fabric you had been wanting to get so badly a few weeks ago. However, instead of navy blue, it’s red.
Jeonghan shrugs and watches you nervously. “Do you like it?”
“I—” you start but for once, you are out of words.
You lay the fabric over your lap as you admire the sheerness, small specks of glitter scattering across the surface. You aren’t able to use it as you originally planned since you’ve already adjusted the design to not use the fabric, and it’s also the wrong color. Regardless, it’s too beautiful to not use in some way.
You are about to thank him when you remember the cost. It isn’t the same color, but it’s the same design and brand, which means it’s probably just as expensive.
“This was a lot of money,” you state and glance up at Jeonghan. His eyes are roaming around the room then moving to look at you when you speak. “You shouldn’t have bought this.”
Jeonghan smiles, albeit a little bittersweet for a reason you aren’t sure of. “We do a lot of things we shouldn’t when we like someone.”
“Is that your way of saying you like me?” you wonder, folding the fabric to place in the bag again. You mean “like” in a platonic way and hope Jeonghan understands this.
“I do,” he chuckles lightly. “You put up a tough front, but you’re not too bad of a friend.”
Your smile is small at his response. Glad you don’t have to have an awkward conversation about which version of “like” you mean.
“Too bad?” you tease and stand up, your bag and purse on your arm.
Jeonghan tilts his head. “You did threaten to burn my Legos three weeks ago. That wasn’t very friendly.”
“Just imagine that I said that lovingly,” you answer, forcing the memory of that day from your mind. Although you know it won’t be that easy since it already keeps resurfacing.
“Right,” he responds, dragging out the word in a knowing smile. He walks you to the door when he sees you’re ready to leave. He opens the door, watching as you step out with his head resting against the side of the frame.
“Jeonghan?” you say after taking a few steps away. You turn to look at him. He wears that same bittersweet smile on his lips from earlier.
“Yn,” he responds.
“Thank you for… for the fabric. That was very kind of you, and I—” you pause as you try to voice your truest thoughts. It still doesn’t come easy, but you want him to know how grateful you are. “I don’t know if I deserved it.”
“I think you deserve more, but that can be a topic for another day. Get home safely, Yn,” Jeonghan replies as he lifts his head from the door.
You stay still for a moment. His words register in your head slowly while you stare at him. You’ve experienced Jeonghan being nice to you despite his constant jokes, but he’s never said anything on this level before. There is a moment where you think he is lying to you, but even though Jeonghan is playful, you don’t think he would lie to you—especially not now.
You bid farewell to Jeonghan once you collect yourself.
You’re not sure if that day he speaks about will ever come, but you are content with just knowing he thinks highly of you.

Home is better.
Still not Hallmark-perfect, but better. As expected, your mother leaves for another trip somewhere. She stops by, and to your surprise, your father lets her talk to you and Seoah. For once, there is no screaming. No yelling. No hostile attitude from either of your parents. It’s odd yet refreshing.
Your mother apologizes for not always being there for you and your sister. She says she will message you both when she has time. You nod, but you don’t believe her. She has given you the “promise message” before, and it never happened.
Additionally, if she is truly sorry, she wouldn’t keep leaving when she has a family here. Perhaps that’s a selfish thought, but it doesn’t matter. It won’t make a difference. You’re not sure when or if you’ll see her again. It’s clear she isn’t allowed to stay here if she comes back. Visiting is fine, but that’s all. Despite it all, you wish you are able to see her in the future.
Your father began attending dinners after your mother left. He reasons it’s time to start being more like a family again. You bite your tongue when you want to say he never was part of it to begin with.
The first night together is awkward. Seoah breaks the tension eventually, but it always reverts back to crickets. After a while, your father starts to make small talk.
How was your day? Is your homework going fine? Are classes hard?
You never are one for small talk, but at least he is trying.
Though he only tries during dinner. As always, he stays inside his office the majority of the day. It’s like nothing changes until it becomes dinner time. Then you are a family. Once that is over, it goes back to normal.
You tell yourself it’s just baby steps, which is better than no steps at all.
“So, Savannah ate her homework as a… dare?” your dad asks at dinner one night.
“No!” Seoah sighs, having tried to get your dad to understand her story for the past five minutes. “It’s because she’s crazy!”
“But I don’t understand why she would do that willingly,” your father replies. He has food on his fork, but it’s paused in mid-air, completely appalled by his daughter’s story.
“No one really knows. The point is she’s insane,” Seoah says.
“And she did this in front of her teacher?”
“She did it in class, so I supposed you could say that. At least she ate the homework that was already graded,” she huffs before stuffing her cheeks full.
“Yes, at least it was graded,” your dad agrees slowly as if he is still processing the story. He then turns to you.
“How’s Dae?”
He finally takes a bite while waiting for your response.
“She’s fine. We’re already done with our projects finally,” you answer.
“Ooh, I’m excited to see them! Dad and I are coming, you know?” Seoah says with a bright smile.
“I know,” you reply, trying to hide the grin that wants to show. You were a little shocked when they first told you they had gotten tickets. Even though you were secretly hoping they would come, you didn’t want to expect it. After all, it would be less disappointing if they didn’t come when your expectations were already low. It’s not that they don’t support you, but with everything going on, you weren’t sure if either of them had the time.
“Are your other friends going too?” asks your father.
Your gaze drops to your lap as you recall the conversation with Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Wonwoo. Seungcheol planned to get his friends—now your friends as well—to come to the show; however, you haven’t spoken to him since that weekend. You don’t know if any of them are coming now that Seungcheol most likely isn’t organizing his “surprise” anymore.
“I’m not sure,” you answer as you roll your shoulders back, sitting up straighter. No reason to be sad over it. You don’t need to be upset about losing someone who looks down on you. If anything, you should be glad you’re not talking to him. Your life is better now. Less drama.
At least that’s what’s been repeating in your head.
“What about that one boy? The one who came here? Seungch—”
“Shh!” Seoah gasps and puts her hand out to stop him. “You’re not supposed to talk about him in this house anymore.”
“W-what? Why not? He was very nice,” your father says. He glances between the both of you puzzled.
They always start that way, huh?
“They’re not talking anymore,” Seoah whispers, but you can hear it clearly.
“Oh,” your dad says and then looks at you with a sympathetic expression. It has you wincing internally. You don’t need his pity. “I’m sorry to hear that, honey. I’m sure he meant a lot to you.”
His words fish out all those thoughts you tried to drown. You aren’t about to spiral in front of your family.
“I’m going to work on my project more. Final adjustments and whatnot. Seoah, do you mind doing the dishes tonight?” you ask as you push your chair back.
“Only because you’re sad,” she replies.
Sighing, you grab your dishes, and place them in the sink.
Before you leave, you mumble, “I’m not sad.”
Seoah makes a sound to let you know she doesn’t believe you but doesn’t bug you about it.
“Way to go, Dad,” you hear her grumble as you’re leaving.
Shutting your bedroom door is akin to shutting off the lights in the world. It transports you to a place only you’re allowed in. A place where you are able to feel everything you have been keeping under lock and key.
As soon as you hear the familiar click of your door, you feel your knees buckle.
You stagger to your bed and let your body flop onto the mattress. There’s an influx of the thoughts and feelings you had repressed.
Four weeks.
It’s been nearly four weeks since you last saw him. Heard his voice. At least not in conversations.
The first few days after that weekend, you ran into him on campus. Well, more like he found you. He’d call your name; he’d tell you he was sorry and ask for you to listen to him. Though each time, you ignored him. You went the other way and never said a word to him. Eventually, he stopped trying. He stopped finding you. He stopped calling your name. The frequent texts he would send stopped too. Soon, you were truly left with just a memory of him.
You should be glad.
You should be relieved he stopped because each time you saw him, you had the temptation to actually listen to him. To hear his side because you don’t want to believe he had said those things in his apartment. However, that will never happen now. Even if you want it to, you aren’t going to crawl back to him after all this time.
The picture you had taken of both of you is still in your photo gallery. You deleted it when you accidentally stumbled upon it a few days after the fight. Pained at even the sight of him, your finger had hit the trash icon quickly. Despite that, you ended up recovering the photo a few hours later because part of you wasn’t ready to erase him from your life completely.
The words your dad said linger in your mind.
I’m sure he meant a lot to you.
Had he?
In the few months you got to know him, had he really made himself a home in your heart? Perhaps if you say no, you will stop feeling like there is a void in your chest.
The weeks went by quickly. It wasn’t like in the movies or books where the heartbroken character felt their life was moving in slow motion. First, you weren’t heartbroken. Second, you had so much to do regarding your project you didn’t have time to think about him.
A part of your mind told you that working nonstop was your way of coping, but coping with what? What you lost wasn’t meaningful…
He wasn’t meaningful.
Yet as you let that thought roll around your mind, the more your chest feels heavy. The more your vision becomes blurry. The more your body feels weak.
The more you feel suffocated.
Suffocated by the thoughts gripping you and trying to shake you into realization.
Seungcheol had meant something to you. The extent is unknown, but if you were to ever tell someone how much your heart was aching, they would probably say he meant a great deal to you. Though if you allow yourself to agree, it will only cause more pain. So for now, you are fine being in denial.
You close your eyes as you inhale slowly. You hold your breath for a few seconds and then exhale gradually. You repeat this until you start to feel like you can breathe properly.
Images of him appear uninvitingly in the darkness—from when you first opened Jeonghan’s door to see him instead of Minghao then to waking up in his arms while laying in his bed.
It shouldn’t have come to this point. He wasn’t even helping with your project, yet you felt as if you saw him more than anyone else volunteering.
In the recesses of your mind, you can feel his gentle touch on your skin. You recall the moments you had together, but more strongly, you remember the way you felt when you were around him. Your chest would tighten any time he smiled or laughed. Such simple actions had you feeling so joyful. Even more so if you were the reason behind the actions.
Then you think back to his apartment—before that phone call with Dae. The way you both held each other so tenderly during such an intimate moment. It had you feeling a sort of love you haven’t felt before. You think back to how content you were waking up in his arms. The glimpse of what your life could be like if you were his in his home.
You don’t know how you got here. You don’t know when you started falling for him. You don’t know when the tears started to roll down your cheeks. For the first time since the argument, you let your emotions flow freely.
You can’t believe you’re wasting tears over a guy you met this semester. Though, maybe you're just crying over the fact you no longer feel those feelings anymore. The feeling of being cared for, thought of, loved… Even if neither of you had said that word to the other, it doesn’t take away the feeling of being cherished. Maybe you don’t feel in love, but you could see yourself getting to that point if that argument never transpired. Although his words hurt then, they sting ten times worse now.
Your mind is filled to the brim with thoughts of him. It’s taking such a toll on you that you eventually fall asleep reflecting on your relationship with Seungcheol, dried tear streaks painting your cheeks.

“Mingyu, stop playing around,” you scold for the third time.
Mingyu stops dancing, peering down at you to give you another teasing grin. Perhaps you would’ve found it amusing if you weren’t under a time crunch.
“God, what a shit show,” you hear someone giggle behind you.
You dismiss the voice, knowing it’s probably Tori or Siwon. You only have a limited time to do your dress rehearsal before it’s another student’s turn.
“Worry about your own show, ladies,” Mingyu says above you, voice so stern it has you looking at him a little surprised.
“You never know when something bad might happen during your section in the show,” Jeonghan adds. Although his responsibility for the show is already done, he whined to join you today. Something about being bored and needing something to do. You had said no, but you couldn’t really stop him from following you to the theatre.
You turn around to see Tori and Siwon. They have their bags on their arms, ready to leave since they finished their rehearsals before you.
“Is that a threat?” Siwon gasps.
Jeonghan smiles that not-so-innocent grin and shrugs. “No, but it’s just a general comment. Anything can happen.”
Tori scoffs and then looks at you. “If I find out you’re tampering with other students’ projects, I’m going to tell Dr. Lim so you’ll flunk.”
“As if I need to sabotage your stage,” you reply. “You’ll do that yourself.”
“Oooh,” Jeonghan chuckles, bringing a hand to his mouth for dramatic effect. You shake your head at his reaction, but there is a tiny part of you where you’re pleased.
“You better watch yourself, Yn,” Tori warns.
You smile. “Oh, I will. After all, why would I watch your shit show?”
“You’re—”
“Tori, Siwon, please let Yn get back to her work. Yn, you should be focusing on your fittings and makeup. Not talking,” Dr. Lim instructs as he walks into the backstage room.
Tori and Siwon quickly apologize before they hurry out.
“Yn,” Dr. Lim calls to get your attention. You tear your gaze from your two peers to look at him.
“I heard you, Dr. Lim. I’ll be done before my time ends,” you say.
He gives you a tight-lipped smile before leaving you.
“Sorry,” Mingyu mumbles once they all leave. You exhale gradually and gesture for him to lean down.
“It’s fine, Gyu,” you answer. You quickly fix his hair, then turn him around to show one of the students you selected to help with hair and makeup. “Like this, okay?”
The student nods, taking notes and pictures as they observe the simple style. You want the focus to be on the clothes rather than fancy hair-dos.
You attend to your other models and stylists, making sure the clothes fit well and that the stylists understand what you want them all to look like. You had met with Seokmin earlier to go over the music. It’s pretty simplistic since it’s just one track, but you still want to make sure things go smoothly from all aspects.
Luckily, you finish within your time slot. Mingyu and Jeonghan trail behind you as you exit the building, talking amongst themselves. You figure they’ll go their separate ways once you are done, but nope. You act as if it bothers you, but you kinda like the company. You’ve been so focused on finishing the project that you haven’t had the chance to hang out with many people. If you did, it was only to discuss the final details.
Now that the show is around the corner, you let yourself breathe for a little.
“I don’t need you to pay for me,” you tell Jeonghan when it’s your turn to purchase your drink at the register.
“Think of it as a thank you for letting me tag along today,” he answers and starts to lower his card to the payment device. However, you quickly snatch it from his grip.
“Aye,” he drags out in a whine.
“I said n—”
“Done,” Mingyu cuts in. Your eyes flicker to him, then down at his hand. He just paid for your drink. He gives you a cheeky grin before ordering for Jeonghan and himself.
“Kim Mingyu, you’re a little shi—”
“Shining star,” he finishes for you as he pays for his order. He guides you and Jeonghan from the line to the end counter as you wait for your orders. His mouth is spread into a wide, confident smile.
Jeonghan laughs at Mingyu’s answer, but you simply glower at the taller man.
“Come on, that was good,” Mingyu pouts when you don’t say anything. He gives your shoulder a poke, trying to get you to agree.
“I’m going to the bathroom,” you announce instead, walking away before either of them can answer.
After you’re done, you walk out with your phone in hand to check on Dae who has her rehearsal after you.
You are typing your message when you hear something fall to the floor. Glancing down, you notice a stray pen.
“Think you can pick that up for me, princess?” a familiar voice asks.
You’ve heard the intolerable voice enough times to know who it is without looking up. Regardless, your eyes lift to see Hajun.
You notice a change in her appearance. Her outfit is less boring than it normally is. You think she has dressed up for a class assignment, but the attire isn’t professional-like. After all the shit she’s given you for dressing “over the top,” she sure is heading down the same path.
You grit your teeth in order to stop the snide remark you want to make.
“Well?” she prompts smugly.
Two options run through your head. The first option is to stomp on the pen with your heel until you hear a satisfying crunch from breaking it. The second is to slam the pen down in her open palm—tip facing downward.
Instead, you chose the safer option. You step over the object and continue your way back to your friends; your text to Dae forgotten.
“Can’t even help a person out by doing a simple task?” Hajun asks. You pause in your steps to look over your shoulder.
“You’re a big girl and fully capable. I’m sure you can solve your own problem,” you reply.
“Bitch,” she mutters under her breath, but it’s loud enough for you to hear. As if that word is meant to make you cry.
Turning around again, you say, “Ditto.”
It isn’t anything rude, but you’re done dealing with her. Nothing is ever going to change, and there is no reason for you to put up with her bullshit.
“That’s why he left you,” she calls out after a few steps. You hear her footsteps near slowly as yours still once more. You know she just wants your attention, but you can’t help but give it to her.
“He realized you were nothing but a slut who needed something between her legs to be satisfied.”
You stay silent for once as you listen to her words. You don’t need to hear his name to know who “he” is. Your gaze lowers as she stands behind you. Your heart rate is increasing as a mix of emotions courses through you, somewhere between fury and sorrow.
“Is he just one more check mark off your list?” she wonders. “He told us about how pathetic you were at his place. He said he needed a way to get you to leave him alone.”
“Are you sure he didn’t say that about you?” you ask and finally, turn to look at her. Despite your words, she smiles at you cunningly.
Ignoring your question, she continues with her high-horse speech.
“It’s a shame you had him so wrapped around your finger. I told him you weren’t worth it,” she tsks sadly.
You’re not sure why you stand there as she belittles you. Maybe in some sick way, you want to hear every bad thing she has to say about you. Let her get everything off her chest while she can. Not that you need to give her that opportunity. She doesn’t deserve an ego lift.
“I was right, though. He said you were one of the worst fucks he’s ever had,” she giggles. “Truly not worth the chase you were giving. I’m sure everyone you’ve had sex with feels the same. Eventually, they’ll stop chasing someone so worthless.”
The sorrow you felt earlier is overcome by anger. It doesn’t help that she’s staring at you with a Cheshire cat smile that makes you want to slap it off her face. Your hands fist at your sides at the thought. However, before the temptation takes over fully, someone calls your name.
Jeonghan stands at the end of the hall, a drink in each of his hands.
You glance back to Hajun.
She simply shrugs, not bothered by being interrupted. You doubt that’s all she has to say, but for now, it will do. She had gotten under your skin. You should have walked away.
“He’ll stop chasing you soon, too,” she tells you quietly before moving around you and toward Jeonghan.
“Hi Hannie!” she greets cheerfully. You watch as he smiles at her and tells her hello.
Unfortunately, the hallway to the bathrooms is a dead end, and the only way to leave is past Jeonghan and Hajun.
“Is she okay? What’s taking so long?” Mingyu questions as he rounds the corner. Following closely behind him is Seungcheol.
Seeing him should be like seeing a poster on the wall—one glance and move on. Yet, your gaze catches his, and your heart starts to break away from the bandaids you placed on it. Scattered memories of the argument flash before your eyes, yet between those snip-bits are memories of you in his soothing embrace. You can’t help but yearn to feel that one more time.
Besides looking tired, he seems fine. He must have known you were here since he didn’t seem surprised to see you. That, or he simply doesn’t care. The latter is difficult to bear.
Your feet want to move. You want to run and escape the situation you’re put in, but you can’t leave. You just need them to go so you don't have to walk past them.
“Hey,” Jeonghan calls out gently as he takes a few steps forward. He hands the drinks to Mingyu, who has to juggle a little to hold them, before walking toward you.
He gently moves your face so you aren’t looking at Seungcheol anymore.
“Did something happen?” he asks lowly so no one can hear.
“I just need to get out of here,” you mumble, casting your eyes down from his worried one.
“Okay,” he says unhesitantly. “Let’s go then.”
He hooks his arm in yours and starts walking toward the end of the hallway, forcing you to follow him.
“What about your drinks?” Mingyu asks when you both walk past and in the direction of the exit.
“Keep them,” Jeonghan replies, slowing his steps but never stopping fully. You keep your gaze away as he answers. “You paid for them anyway.”
“But—”
“We’ll take them. Here, Cheollie,” you hear Hajun say as you leave.
The air outside feels heavenly.
You inhale deeply, letting yourself breathe after feeling like you couldn’t for the longest time. You’re not sure what you’re more affected by—hearing what Seungcheol had said about you or seeing him for the first time in a long time.
You should let her words flow from one ear and out the other, but some things she said already planted themselves in your mind. And of course, you water those seeds until they sprout to consume your thoughts.
Were you not worth it to Seungcheol to fight harder for you? Not just after the argument but before. His lack of loyalty to you was always an issue with him. You didn’t care if he had a project with Hajun and the others. You didn’t care if he knew them for longer. You were tired of not being his first. You had always split that position with Hajun. At least that’s what you felt. Maybe he kept her around for reasons he didn’t disclose. Even then, how much did she mean to him?
Loud footsteps sound behind you quickly. Before you can fully turn back to see who or what is emitting the noise, a hand is on the arm Jeonghan isn’t holding.
“Yn,” Seungcheol rasps, eyes wide and pleading.
Jeonghan stops in his tracks as he flickers his gaze between you both.
“Maybe another time, Seungcheol,” he says gently, so as to not offend him.
“Let’s let her decide that,” Seungcheol responds, his jaw clenching slightly as he gives a warning glare in his direction. You don’t like the expression he gives Jeonghan.
Even though his hand awakens sleeping butterflies in your stomach, you move it from you—catching his attention. His firm features immediately soften.
“Can we talk?” he asks.
You want to say yes, but after hearing Hajun’s words from earlier, you’re not sure if you want to anymore. He’s allowed to speak to his friends about whatever he wants, but you had hoped he would’ve done so respectfully.
“Depends,” you answer. “Are you going to go twist my words to your friends?”
His eyebrows push together. “What are you talking about? I wouldn’t do that.”
“And I wouldn’t use a needle to sew,” you reply sarcastically.
“Seriously, Cherry. Let’s go somewhere private and talk. Please?” he says, eyes glancing up at Jeonghan who still stands next to you.
Hearing that nickname after so long makes your brain short-circuit. You’re a little surprised that he used it since you aren’t on speaking terms. Nicknames are normally reserved for friends… Does he think you’re still friends with him? That’d be sad if he did considering how he treated you before.
“I’ve heard everything I needed to hear,” you argue.
“No, you haven’t,” he sighs. His eyes move to see Mingyu and Hajun leaving the building. It’s not going to be long until they catch up.
“Do you plan to whisper sweet nothings in my ear until I forgive you?” you question with venom.
“No, I—”
“One day, you’ll see my clothes in a shopping window and think, ‘Wow. How did I ever sleep with someone so out of my league?’” you hiss out, narrow eyes locking on his.
“Instead of your clothes, he’ll see a used napkin in the wind and think, ‘Wow. I should’ve pushed her out of my life sooner,’” you hear Hajun's voice before you can see her.
Seeing Hajun next to Seungcheol reminds you of all the problems you have with him. Even though you did miss him, you don’t miss this—feeling like you are getting ganged up on while Seungcheol stands there and does nothi—
“Be quiet, Hajun,” Seungcheol snaps. “I’m tired of you getting in my business.”
His aggressive tone takes everyone by surprise.
You never heard him like this; not to you, not to anyone. It’s a whole new Seungcheol you have yet to discover. One you don’t want to be on the receiving end of. You can only imagine how Hajun is feeling.
“W-what? But I’m only trying to help,” she sputters, trying not to look as startled as she probably feels. It seems it’s her first time seeing this Seungcheol, too.
“Did I ever ask for your help? For fuck’s sake, just stop bothering Yn.”
Hajun’s eyes widen like saucers, mouth opening slightly at his words. You watch the scene before you. Your expression is probably the same as Hajun’s.
She looks at you, shock turning into irritation.
“You said something to him, didn’t you?” she accuses. That pulls you from your surprised daze.
Rolling your eyes, you answer with a forced smile, “Ah, yes, I bewitched him so he’d tell you to fuck off. Isn’t that right, Cheollie?”
You glance up at him when using the nickname, eyelashes batting obnoxiously.
“Cherry,” Seungcheol scolds lightly with a groan, hand coming up to rub at his temples.
“Who the hell is Cherry?” Hajun questions, miffed.
“What did I say, Hajun?” Seungcheol responds instead. “Stop talking shit about Yn. Stop trying to fight her.”
Hajun scoffs. “If anything, she’s trying to fight me!”
“And I’ll win, too,” you comment under your breath, causing Jeonghan to yank on your arm slightly with a shake of his head. You forgot he’s here.
“What did you just say, bitch?” Hajun asks you. You open your mouth to repeat what you said, but Seungcheol’s voice interrupts you.
“Leave, Hajun,” he says and stares at her. Even though it isn’t directed at you, you can tell how intimidating it is.
“You’re really going to let her control you, Seungcheol?!” she exasperates, almost desperately.
“Now,” he demands.
Hajun’s mouth opens again, but nothing comes out. She glances at Mingyu and Jeonghan as if they will say something; however, neither of them does. With one last look at Seungcheol, she spins on her heels and walks away.
You all watch her for a few seconds. The awkward silence is starting to make you feel uncomfortable.
“She could’ve at least taken the drinks,” Mingyu says, trying to break the tense atmosphere. You peer at him to see he has all the drinks again.
Seungcheol disregards him to speak to you. His voice has lost that firmness to it. “Yn, just five minutes.”
You still want to say no, yet, this is your chance to listen to him without having to appear desperate for closure. Perhaps you can finally get him out of your mind if you agree.
“Fine,” you yield and glance at Jeonghan.
“I’ll wait here with Mingyu,” he informs. You would have told him it was fine, but after rejecting Dae’s offer to pick you up at Seungcheol’s that day, you want to have someone to turn to in case this conversation ends like the last.
“Thanks,” you mumble.
Seungcheol guides you both to sit on a bench nearby. You sit on opposite ends with your hands in your lap.
“I’m sorry” is the first thing he says as you get settled. He tucks his hands in his hoodie’s pocket, reminding you you still have to return the one you have someday.
His back leans against the bench while he shifts his eyes on you. “I’m sorry for the awful things I said. I don’t think you’ve slept with everyone on campus, and I don’t agree with what Hajun and Hana have said about you.”
You rub your lips together, staring at him at first but then averting. The events of that day come to the forefront of your mind. Though they’ve never been far from it to begin with. You wonder if you overreacted at the time, but you’re so emotionally involved with him it’s hard to tell. No doubt his words stung; especially after engaging in such vulnerable moments with him and slipping into that fantasy life you had created for the both of you. All for it all to evaporate with what? A so-called joke?
“You don’t have to forgive me right now, or ever, but I would still like to talk to you… to try to get back to where we were before I fucked up,” he continues when you remain quiet.
Your first response in your head is no, that won’t be possible. You just want to move on. But that answer spurs from having your defensive walls around you. What if you get close like before, only for something else to tear you apart?
Sighing, you begin playing with the end of your clothes.
“What did you tell Hajun?” you ask in lieu of answering his silent question.
Seungcheol tilts his head at the sudden topic change. “I told her to leave you alone.”
“No,” you shake your head and look at him. “What did you tell her after that day?”
He’s silent for a moment as he digs around his thoughts for an answer.
“I didn’t tell her anything. She just asked where you were,” he replies.
The look on your face conveys your disbelief.
“You didn’t tell her we had sex?” you asked.
“W-what? No. There was no reason to,” he says. You can see the shock on his face from your question.
“Then how does she know?”
“Does she?” he asks.
“Yes.”
Seungcheol ponders on the information. “Well, she did ask as a joke, but I didn’t tell her we did,” he answers.
You take a deep breath. Another joke, huh?
“Did you tell her we didn’t then?” you wonder.
He shakes his head.
“Seungcheol,” you scold while bringing a hand to your temples.
He pouts, scooting closer to lower your arm. “I’m sorry. I didn’t think she’d figure it out. It wasn’t her business to know.”
“No, it wasn’t,” you concur sadly. The warmth of his hand spreads up your arm, bringing back a sense of familiarity that makes you want more but also want to pull away in fear of losing it again.
“What else did she s—”
The sound of your phone going off startles you both.
You pull away to grab it. Seoah’s name appears at the top.
“One second,” you murmur before answering and turning away.
“Yeah?” you greet.
“Are you almost home?” Seoah asks.
“No, did you need something?”
She releases a loud sigh on the other end. “Yeah. Dad’s cake. You’re going to be late.”
Shit.
You completely forgot about your father’s surprise birthday party. Seoah invited a few of his co-workers over to celebrate, and you’re supposed to pick up the cake on the way home from rehearsal. It’s going to be the first time in a while since you do anything big like this. Normally, his birthday consists of only you and Seoah singing him a happy birthday with a present.
“I’m so sorry. Look, just start without it,” you say and begin to stand. Seungcheol follows you, waiting patiently as you stay on the call.
You pull the device from your ear despite Seoah talking.
“I have to go,” you inform.
Seungcheol’s lips dip in a frown, but it quickly disappears. “Can we meet this weekend so we can talk more?”
“I can’t. I have the—”
“The show. I know,” he pauses. “I’ll be there.”
The phone call is forgotten instantly at his words. He’ll be at the show? The show you’ve been working on? You figured that would be the last place he’d be.
“Y-you will?” you stutter.
Seungcheol smiles, but it isn’t anywhere near his eyes. “We can talk the next day. I figure you’ll be busy after.”
“I-Uh… Yeah,” you reply, not sure what to say. You want to ask why and when he got the tickets. You want to know if he is being forced to go or if it’s a decision he made all on his own. Though, none of those questions come out.
“Are you even listening to me?” Seoah’s voice is loud. “Who are you with? Is it Jeonghan? Tell him to go away, so you can grab the cake.”
Seungcheol glances at the phone in your hand. His face morphs into something you can’t read, though you catch the way his jaw clenches briefly. You’re not sure if it’s because he recognizes Seoah’s voice or if it’s something she said. Regardless, you ignore it and change your focus to your sister.
“I’m on the way now, relax. You’re not cutting it at the start anyway,” you reason. “I’ll see you in a bit.”
You hang up the call before you can hear more of her complaining.
“Sorry,” you apologize as you look at Seungcheol again. He seems lost in his thoughts. It’s odd to see him this way since you feel you’re usually the one in his position.
You take a few seconds to scan his face properly. Even with his slightly visible eye bags, you find him handsome. Your fingers twitch with the desire to touch him, to feel his warm body against yours and see that smile that has you smiling back.
“Seungcheol?” you ask softly when you realize neither of you has spoken.
His eyes snap to yours. “Right,” he clears his throat. “So, the next day?”
“Okay,” you agree before you can overthink the decision. You know you need to resolve the issue in order to continue with your life—whether it’s one with him in it or not.
“We can go to that café? I can pick you up,” he offers.
Having been used to him driving around, you almost say yes, but you learned your lesson of not having your own transportation.
“It’s fine. I’ll meet you there,” you reply.
“Alright,” he says slowly, allowing you time to change your mind. When he senses that isn’t going to happen, he adds, “I’ll see you this weekend.”
“See you,” you say, gaze lingering on his for a little too long before you tear yourself away.
You find Jeonghan with Mingyu a couple of feet away. They both look up when they hear you near.
“All good?” Jeonghan wonders.
You shrug. “For now, I guess. Thanks for waiting.”
Jeonghan stands, a drink in his hand. Mingyu still has the third.
“Anytime. Do you still want that?” Jeonghan asks as he gestures to the third drink. You glance at it, shaking your head. You don’t know if it’s contaminated.
“No one’s drunk out of it,” Mingyu reassures; however, you still shake your head.
“Thanks, though. I’ll pay you back for it,” you say.
Mingyu smiles. “Don’t worry about it.”
“Still want some company to your car?” Jeonghan questions.
“That’d be nice,” you smile slightly. Jeonghan nods. After you both say goodbye to Mingyu, you lead Jeonghan in the direction of your parked car.
You haven't seen Seungcheol’s face in weeks. While seeing him again is difficult, it feels like you can breathe again. The temptation to glance back at him is strong. You want to see him again.
And so you do.
Only to find his eyes already locked on you.
Something about his look captivates your attention. His expression isn’t settled in a set emotion; it ranges from longing to worry to hope. Jeonghan guides you down the sidewalk, talking about something you don’t know. It’s not until you turn a corner that you’re forced to break your gaze due to a building obstructing your view.
You’re anxious about this weekend and unsure how your life will change. The fashion show is a big deal for you, but so is Seungcheol. It’s nerve-wracking to not know how everything will end.

Tumblr media
y’all cannot convince me that this mans would not be the most simpiest man that ever existed.
gender neutral reader, fluff, slight angst, like 99% fluff tho, cheol loves taking pictures of reader
———————————————————————————
you were waiting for cheol to come home from recording for seventeens new comeback. you hadn’t been waiting long past what time he told you he’d be home by, but after having a long day of work already you found yourself drifting into sleep on one of his bandmates, Josh’s shoulder. you had become close to all of the members, so it wasn’t unusual or awkward to spend time with them while waiting for coups to get back.
however when your boyfriend arrived at the dorms to find you ever so adorably sleeping on josh’s shoulder- he had an inner conflict: punt josh across the room- or - take a picture and then punt josh across the room.
he decided on the latter.
giggling to himself, he took many photos of you peacefully sleeping on josh’s shoulder. why wouldn’t he? you were his partner after all! he might have already had an album full of over 800 pictures of you, but why not add more?
after being satisfied with the array of new pictures he acquired, his eyes burned into josh’s skull, silently demanding him to leave so he can be the one to cuddle with his partner.
and he got exactly what he wanted.
after you transferred your snuggles to him, he tried his best to contain his excitement to finally be able to hold you after not seeing you for the last two days.
carefully taking his phone out, seungcheol quietly took pictures of you resting on his chest. well, he was quiet until he accidentally giggled too loud at how adorable you looked in the pictures, which caused you to stir awake- and blush in realization that you missed your boyfriend returning home.
“hi” cheol smiled cheekily down at you, before kissing your forehead.
you spent the rest of the night attached at the hip, and seungcheol definitely did not take more pictures of you to add to his album.

"Come on, Y/N! They're doing body shots in the kitchen," your best friend Gyuri called out to you.
"As riveting as that sounds, I think I'll just stick around over here," you responded.
It was the big summer house party her boyfriend Mingyu was hosting. He was very charismatic, and anyone with eyes could see he was an attractive guy.
You introduced the two a few years ago, and they've been going strong ever since. The couple, affectionately called "2Gyu" by close friends, had been anticipating the party for weeks.
As much as you were enjoying yourself, you'd admit you felt a bit out of place. With all the couples making out or going upstairs to do who knows what was making you feel disconnected from reality.
"You sure? There's some very single guys in there you could hang out with," Gyuri winked.
Subtly was not in her vocabulary. It was known you haven't been in a relationship since you broke up with your ex-boyfriend Seungcheol four years ago.
To put it simply, it was between you and a job offer in Japan, and he chose Japan. You supported his decision at the offer of a lifetime, but the lack of communication on the matter put a strain on your relationship.
You've moved on… At least, that's what you try to tell yourself, but the wounds were still fresh.
"I'm not in much of a hanging out with guys mood, Gyu," you explained, taking a sip from the familiar red cup in your hand.
"Well, whenever you feel ready to hang out minus the guys, you know where to find me," Gyuri said, giving you a reassuring shoulder rub before taking off.
You shrugged off the notion. She meant well, but that didn't encourage you to want to mingle with others.
By the looks of it, everyone else had either left the party or passed out on the couches. There was one guy who came from the kitchen and was standing near the bathroom.
He glanced at you here and there, but nothing too out of the ordinary. The unnamed man moved from his spot and walked towards you.
"Hey! Are you friends with the host?" He asked.
"Yeah. I'm actually best friends with his girlfriend," you said.
"Gyuri? I don't think I've actually met her," he explained.
"How did you get an invite then?" You laughed.
"Through a mutual friend."
You nodded, looking around the room. There were guests dancing and just hanging out now. It was getting late, so it made sense that people began to unwind.
The guy next to you broke the small silence between you two by introducing himself.
"I'm Matthew, by the way," he smiled.
"Y/N," you greeted.
"Cool name! Are you having a fun time?" Matthew asked.
"Honestly, Matthew, I'm a bit bummed out. It's been a while since I've been at a big gathering like this," you began.
"It reminds me of an ex."
Matthew nodded his head, taking in your words as you spoke.
"It's been so long since the breakup, but certain things reminded you of him," you responded, thinking about your memories with Seungcheol.
For one, he loved big parties like this. You guys first met at a pool party hosted by an old high school friend when he walked up and asked where the swan floatie was.
The conversation flowed easily, and it felt like you both had known each other for so long. After becoming good friends, Seungcheol asked you out on a date to a carnival.
He had eaten so much cotton candy and corn dogs that he could barely make it to the car on the way out. After the late night drive, he walked you back to your apartment and kissed you goodnight.
You droned on, almost forgetting that Matthew was in front of you saying something.
"Y/N, if it means anything, I just got out of a long-term relationship myself, and it's tough. Sometimes I feel like I did something wrong," he said.
"I know I shouldn't still be hung up over it since it was four years ago, but so much was left unsaid," you replied, considering the last conversation you had together.
"It's valid that you still feel emotions about the breakup. That's something you never truly get over," Matthew said.
"It takes time."
You nodded, taking in the way he was looking at you.
"Thank you for the advice," you said.
"No problem! You're a cool girl to talk to," Matthew smiled, looking towards the ground.
You bit your lip, trying to contain the butterflies in your stomach. He ran his fingers through his hair, giggling at your awed expression.
"Thanks! I was thinking maybe we -" You were interrupted by the sound of your voice being called.
"Y/N?"
You didn't think anything of it until the voice got closer and it registered who it had belonged to.
"Y/N, is that you?"
You turned around and saw Seungcheol with a smile on his face. The kind of smile that was a mix of shock, excitement, and disbelief.
"Hi," you said indifferently.
"It's been so long!" Seungcheol quipped.
"Yeah, it's been a while," you replied, fidgeting with your hands.
Sensing the awkward situation, Seungcheol takes a look at Matthew with a confused look on his face.
"So, who's your friend?" He questioned.
"I'm Matthew. Y/N and I were just talking about how she was having a hard time getting over her ex," the two men were subtly sizing each other up.
"Oh, how rude of me," Seunghceol began, and you knew it was not going to end well.
"I'm Seungcheol or the ex if you will."
The sarcastic remark earned a small groan from you and a glare from the other man next to you.
"Hey Matthew? Could you get me another drink?" You asked, hoping that the awkward exchange wouldn't continue.
"Sure! I'll be back in a minute," he nodded, walking towards the kitchen.
Seungcheol was glaring back at him as he left.
"Cheol, what the fuck was that back there?" You whispered, folding your arms as you stared at him.
"I got weird vibes from that dude. I mean… just the way he was looking at you. I don't trust him," Seungcheol trailed off, but knowing him, you knew there was more to the story.
"You don't know him," you laughed aloud.
"The only thing you don't like about him is that he was talking to me."
The man just stood there avoiding your gaze, letting you know that what you said was the truth.
"You don't hold back, Y/N. Just like old times," Seungcheol blushed, giving you a look that you couldn't pinpoint.
"Just like old times, huh?" You uttered quietly.
Tumblr media
At first, you were not expecting Seungcheol to be here tonight, let alone to be having a conversation with him like you were still together.
Gyuri had made her long-awaited return to her party, making the rounds to party goers before stopping in her tracks to see you with your ex.
"What is he doing here?" She mouthed, not wanting to draw his attention.
"Mingyu," you mouthed in unison with a knowing look.
She gestured at Seungcheol before signaling at the door, indicating if you wanted him to leave. You shook your head, letting her know everything was okay.
Walking back to the kitchen, you began to wonder what happened to Matthew but were left with fleeting thoughts as Seungcheol had captured your attention.
"It's getting pretty hectic. Do you want to get out of here?" He asked.
"Sure, let's go upstairs!" Taking him by the hand, you led him towards your mutual friends' guest bedroom, closing the door behind you.
You both sat near the foot of the bed wondering what the other was thinking. Seungcheol cleared his throat before I spoke.
"As much as I love a 2Gyu party, sometimes it's better to just have one-on-one time with someone," he mused.
The look in his eyes was adoring. The same one you were on the receiving end of years ago.
"Yeah, it was time to get away," you began.
"I think I saw someone fall asleep while dancing."
Seungcheol's infectious laughter made your heart flutter a bit. Despite the lost time, you didn't miss a beat, gradually falling back into a sense of familiarity with him.
"Everyone's going to have a rough morning, that's for sure!" Seungcheol jokes, watching you break out in laughter.
Whenever you laughed, your nose would scrunch up as you smiled, which he used to say was the cutest thing about you. You were a little shy about it, but it grew to be one of your favorite things about yourself.
"I missed making you smile," Seungcheol confessed, a look of longing in his eyes.
"I missed you."
As the words fell from your lips, you were experiencing the internal conflict of wanting him back in your life and wanting to guard your heart from reliving the breakup.
"I missed you too, Y/N. Thinking back, I wish things could have ended differently," he whispered.
His voice wavered a bit, and you could sense the feeling of regret in it. Tears started to form in his eyes, and he began to sob lightly.
"I lost the love of my life because I didn't take your feelings into consideration. Even though we were miles apart, somewhere in the back of my mind, I hoped we'd meet again."
The emotions came over you, and your eyes started watering from his words.
"Cheol, I-I missed you too," you whimpered.
"When I saw you tonight, I was angry. I was still hurt by feeling like I was someone's second choice. My pride didn't want me to admit that."
You took a deep breath to regain your composure. Seungcheol looked down at his hands until his eyes met yours again, bringing his hand to give you a comforting graze on your back. A small "Is this okay?" from him reminded you of how caring he was and why you fell in love with him the first time.
"Seeing you again after these years felt like fate to me in a strange way. It may be cliche, but love is patient, and somehow, part of me was holding out for you," Seungcheol placed his hands on top of yours and continued.
“I would love to come back to you again and again. Despite everything that happened, I loved you then, and I love you now.”
The pure dedication and devotion in his voice lamented how the time spent apart allowed him to reflect upon decisions made towards the end of your relationship. He wanted a chance to love you again and love you right.
"I love you too, Seungcheol. To think about it, I never stopped loving you either," you squeezed his hand, a faint smile appearing on your face.
The biggest smile crept onto his face. He brought his hand up to your cheek, grazing his thumb along it.
"I was hoping you would say that," Seungcheol beamed.
His eyes managed to glow under the rather intense yellow light in your friends' guest bedroom. He looked at your lips, quickly glancing back at you for silent permission to lean in closer. Instinct took over as you leaned in and kissed him.
The kiss was passionate, almost like a spark that was setting off something new, which in a poetic way was. It felt like you were kissing him for the first time all over again, except this one lingered on for a bit until you both let up.
"Y/N, I love you, and I really meant it when I said I wanted to get back together," Seungcheol began.
"I'll understand if you don't want to start anything immediately, but whether it begins with that kiss or not, I'd be happy to have you in my life in any capacity."
"I would like to see where this goes, Cheol. I think we have to make up for lost time. How about we get coffee sometime?" You asked, hopeful of what's to come.
"I would love to!" Seungcheol quipped.
You looked at the time and realized it was after midnight, and you both went downstairs to say your goodbyes to Mingyu and Gyuri before going outside to your car.
"Tonight was… unforgettable, to say the least," you joked.
"It really was, but I'm glad that we got to spend time with each other. Goodbye, Y/N!" Seungcheol beamed.
"Goodbye, Seungcheol!"
You reached out to hug him and went to unlock your car as you watched him go further into the distance. A smile appeared before you started up the engine and drove off.

pairing: choi seungcheol x reader genre: fluff warnings: none <3 word count: 393 summary: you are his spring in every winter || based on all my love by seventeen a/n: late night fluff, also posted on my marvel blog
Tumblr media
Soft.
The first word that floats into mind as Seungcheol slips under the covers, trying not to disturb your sleeping figure.
A quiet chuckle laves his lips as he feels you shuffle closer to him as soon as the bed dipped, your arm reaching out for his.
It had been another long night -- meetings that ran too long and an endless pile of paperwork. Another long night of wishing he was with you, anywhere else. On nights like this, the only thing that gets him through is the thought of you waiting for him at home.
He gets in his car, tempted to break every speed limit just to get to you sooner. But instead, he hears your voice reminding him to be safe and he takes his time, knowing you'll be there waiting for him. He turns on the radio and the silence is broken by a jazzy melody, the kind he wishes he could spin you in his arms to.
By now, the roads are mostly empty, and he can take the time to just think.
The stars become an audience for the thoughts that race his mind, most of which revolve around you. He pictures you in the passenger seat, singing along to all the songs, even the ones you don't know. He remembers the first night it happened, the way it felt like it was straight out of a movie, and the tug in his heart drove him to say "I love you." But before the panic could set in, your own confession rang in his ears, sounding more melodious to him than the music playing.
He recalls how his life changed after that night. How everything he's done since then has been to hear you say those three words to him. How all of the hard times, the tears, the struggles, have been manageable because you're by his side. You are the spring in all his winters, the stars in his sky, his own happy ending… everything.
He can go on and on just thinking about you, but before he even realizes it, he's home. He's in bed beside you, his arm wrapped around your waist and your head nuzzled against his chest. He whispers goodnight against the top of your head and he feels that tug again, as if it's the first time.
"I love you."

“Let me be mad” - S. Coups (Seungcheol)
Tumblr media
You were stood in the kitchen preparing dinner for one when your boyfriend entered. Silently, you continued what you were doing, refusing to acknowledge him.
"Babe?" you heard S.Coups ask. "I'm home." His voice was tender, clearly aware that you were upset with him and had a very good reason to be.
Instead of cooking for yourself, you should have been out with him on a date. It wasn't necessarily a fancy or important date but it was a date nonetheless.
However, things at Pledis had overrun and they ended up having a meeting over dinner, leaving you to sort yourself out.
"I'm sorry," he said. "Do you want me cook for you?"
"I'm fine," you replied bluntly, continuing what you were doing.
"You know I would have rather spent the evening with you, right?"
This time, you didn't bother to reply.
"I want to make it up to you," S.Coups assured you, but again, you ignored him. With a sigh he continued, "I don't know how else to apologise. If I could have been with you, I would have but-"
"I know," you snapped, bringing your hand down harshly on the worktop. "I know it's not your fault and I know you're sorry but it's frustrating and I don't know how else to be upset."
You stopped fussing with the food but still never turned to look at him.
"What can I do to make this better?"
"Let me be mad at you."
"But-"
"I have other shit going on too, OK?" you shouted as you finally turned to him. Emotions you had kept bottled up inside for far too long all pouring out. "All I wanted is a moment to sit in peace with my boyfriend and rant and be comforted."
"You can still rant to me, you can call or text or something you know this," he tried to explain.
"But I can't. Because if you aren't here in person it means you are busy and then I'll just feel guilty for distracting you or burdening you when you are working."
"Well, I'm here now. Let's go and sit-"
"Nope. I'm mad," you reminded him turning back to your meal.
He couldn't help but smile a little at your words. You tone was softer already and he knew that all that arguing with him was finally calming you down.
As you now had your back to him again, he approached carefully, wrapping his arms about your waist. He heard you sniff, and swiftly picked you up and carried you to the sofa.
"Coups, the food," you weakly protested as he dropped you off at the sofa.
He quickly ran back to the kitchen to make sure that everything was turned off and the food wouldn't be ruined and there wouldn't be a fire.
"What's the other shit, babe?" he asked returning to you. "I'm your boyfriend, you can tell me these things."
"Can I?" you asked, looking at him with glassy eyes. "I feel like my self-esteem has dropped and I'm just feeling like I'm not good enough for anything or anyone. I feel like I can't open up to you about it because you'll just feel guilty. Rationally, I know you are only bailing on me because of work and you can't help it, but I think it's starting to grind me down."
"I had no idea," he said softly. "Do you think it's me? Have I unintentionally made you feel this way?"
"Maybe," you muttered, refusing to look him in the eye. "I can't think of any other trigger."
"Can I do anything to help?"
I don't know," you replied as the tears began.
He was quick to pull you in to a tight embrace, whispering apologies in your ear.
"I'll tell you what, once this comeback is done, I'll make sure Seventeen get a break, you can book some time off too and we'll just be together," he suggested. "I don't mind where. If you want a holiday, just pick a destination and I'll take you there. If you want to stay here in the comfort of home, we can do that."
"That actually sounds really good," you told him, as you pulled away and wiped at your eyes. "Like I said, I know rationally that you don't cancel because of me, but-"
"But I'm your boyfriend," S.Coups finished. "And you should get a lot more of my time than you currently do."
"I mean, I do need to share you with your twelve children," you joked.
"Eh, they're big boys, they should be able to handle themselves without me for a bit."
As the last of your tears were dried a smile crept onto your face at your joking.
"So, just let me know what you want to do, and I'll make sure it happens as soon as I can."
"I love you, Cheollie," you told him finally. "But also, could you finish the food for me? I'm hungry and don't feel like cooking anymore."
With a chuckle, he pecked your forehead and stood.
"Anything for you," he assured you before disappearing to the kitchen.

“You know, you’re supposed to be helping us.”
Seungcheol stood beside the Christmas tree the four of you had put up this year. Or, rather, the two of you did, because Seungcheol and Joshua were the only two working on the thing at this point. Jeonghan had yet again pulled you away from decorating the tree (he helped pick it out! And the two of you tracked down the worker so you could buy it! Technically the two of you did help since you also untangled the lights!), linking the two of you together as partners in crime yet again. It reminded you of that time the four of you rented a cabin in the mountains, actually: it always felt like Jeonghan latched onto you because he knew you’d go along with him without a second thought. Seungcheol and Joshua did, too, but Jeonghan liked how you’d ask questions later most of the time.
“We are?” Jeonghan said from his spot on the couch, happily cuddled up with you clinging to his arm. The two of you were sharing a blanket, and he had been eating a candy cane that you suspected he was purposefully sharpening… just to keep the others on edge. “Someone has to stand back and watch it all come together.” He nodded toward you, “and they’re our second pair of eyes.”
Seungcheol rolled his eyes, picking up another ornament. “Why do I love you both…”
“Because we’re irresistible,” Jeonghan chuckled, snuggling into you further. “Besides… You and Shua got to rest while we—”
“—Untangled the lights for us,” Joshua finished. “We know.”
With a crunch, Jeonghan broke off the slightly-sharp part of his candy cane. “If you need us to help, we’ll help in a few minutes. I’m resting right now.”
Seungcheol looked over, his eyes finding yours. “And you?”
“I’m keeping him warm,” you giggled. “And observing. Cheollie, move that red one over a few branches. It’s too close to that gold one.”
Immediately, you were met with the pouty grumbles of Seungcheol as he did as you told him. A moment later, he took a step back, taking in the sight of it.
“Well?” Jeonghan was smiling, already fully aware of what Seungcheol thought. “Were they right?”
Seungcheol said nothing, earning a soft laugh from Joshua as he glanced over to see the man’s pouty face. Sometimes it was too easy to mess with him.
“How about this,” Jeonghan spoke up again, “if you two finish the tree, we’ll decorate the rest of the house, and we all can do anything outside together.”
Joshua looked over, watching the two of you for a moment. “I feel like you’re planning something.”
“We’re not,” you hummed. “We’ll handle the rest of the inside stuff. I don’t mind.”
With a sigh, Seungcheol set down the empty box of ornaments, making his way over. “Move over,” he mumbled. “I’m tired, too.”
Before he could flop down onto the two of you (something both he and Joshua have done before… and, to be fair, you and Jeonghan were equally guilty of), you dove away, giving Seungcheol enough space to rest between you and Jeonghan before you cuddled back in. You reached a hand up, brushing back a strand of his hair behind his ear as he met your eyes.
“The tree looks really good so far,” you said, leaning over to press a quick kiss against his lips. “If you need me to help, I will—”
“It’s fine,” he said. “Just keep Jeonghan company. We’ll bring the other boxes down later.”
Jeonghan settled in after pulling himself free from the blanket the two of you had been sharing, head resting on Seungcheol’s shoulder. “I guess we owe Shua for convincing us to get a real tree.”
As if on cue, Joshua threw himself onto the couch next to you. “Because it’s nicer.” He rested his head in your lap, and you already dropped a hand down to play with his hair. “We can use the plastic one again next year if you want.”
“You’re going to have to vacuum up pine needles,” Seungcheol flicked the top of Joshua’s head, “since it was your idea.”
“I can live with that,” Joshua let out a soft hum as he curled up closer to you.
The four of you simply stayed there for a while, cozy and warm in one another’s company. Joshua rested a hand on your knee, thumb dragging across the fabric of your sweatpants as he gazed at a nearly-completed tree. Seungcheol’s head rested against Jeonghan’s, his hand in your free one, your other hand still lovingly stroking Joshua’s hair. You could see Jeonghan wrap his arms around Seungcheol’s, shutting his eyes for a moment happily as he let out a blissful sigh. Sometimes it took moments like these for you to appreciate just how much the four of you loved one another.
“We still need to put the tree topper up.” Seungcheol glanced between you and Jeonghan, gaze settling on the person without Joshua laying on their lap. “Jeonghan—”
“I’ll get it,” he sighed, pressing a kiss against his cheek.
“We could put Jeonghan on top of the tree,” you mumbled, shutting your eyes as you leaned against Seungcheol a little further. “Don’t people put angels on top of their trees sometimes?”
Sure enough, you heard Joshua mumble something that you weren’t entirely sure he wanted anyone to hear, earning him a soft smack against his shoulder. He immediately started cackling, earning a confused look from Seungcheol, and a knowing look from Jeonghan when he glanced over.
“Shua!” You whined at him. “I’m not repeating it.”
“I’ll tell them later,” he said, squeezing your knee. “Jeonghan—”
He shook his head, already moving the stepladder over. Jeonghan carefully picked up the shiny star tree-topper the four of you had bought years ago (back when it was just Seungcheol and Jeonghan living together, with you and Joshua crashing constantly at their place). With slow steps, you watched as Jeonghan stepped up the ladder, carefully placing the topper in its proper place. He drew his hands back, waiting just for a moment to ensure that it was secure before he descended, stepping back to admire the finished tree.
“There…” Jeonghan turned back to the three of you. “I think we’ve earned some hot chocolate. Cheol, you’re buying, right?”
Under the sound of Seungcheol complaining and Joshua’s soft laugh (because of course Jeonghan would rope Seungcheol into paying), you giggled, smiling to yourself as you moved to untangle yourself from your partners. Yet you found yourself stuck in place, admiring how pretty everything looked when it finally came together. Joshua stood up after you, leaning against you as he, too, admired the finished tree. Soon enough, Seungcheol and Jeonghan had come back together, the four of you standing in this sweet moment you felt would last an eternity.
“You know… I think we did a pretty good job,” Joshua mused aloud.
“We did,” you nodded, a hand curling around his bicep. With a smile, you looked at your partners. “Let’s go get that hot chocolate.”

Seventeen In The Beginning Stages Of A New Relationship x
saw someone do an ask in someone elses inbox and thought this would be fun to write about. Especially since I've been writing SO much angst lately. It would be nice to have some teeth rotting fluff :)
Prompt: How would Seventeen Members be in the beginning stages of a new relationship?
Warnings: really fluffy, sfw version so sorry no horny time, minors still don't interact tho~, pet names, potentially cussing because that's the person I am. idk if you like cute shit you might not like this.
Tumblr media
ღ S Coups: super soft, complete opposite of how he usually is.
Almost all of them are the type to be "down bad" but holy shit Seungcheol is on another level.
Thinks that you are royalty and treats you that way.
He holds the door for you.
Opens the car door for you and puts his hand above your head so you wont bang your head.
He will be the best bag and umbrella holder.
He always walks to your front door with fresh flowers before each date.
Has a million compliments running through his mind but too shy to admit them all because he's afraid you will run away.
The first time you interlocked your fingers with his, he almost died.
Like his heart almost backflipped out of his chest and he just felt electrified.
He has a list of things you like saved to his phone so he can 'surprise' you out of the blue.
I can see him thinking long term pretty early on in your relationship.
You just are so important to him as he is to you.
ღ Jeonghan: super shy but can't help but tease still.
Jeonghan would act like it was the other way around but he was SO wrapped around your finger.
When you weren't looking he would be sending you the biggest heart eyes.
He'd constantly wonder how the hell he got so lucky to have someone like you.
He would want to be next to you all the time.
Sometimes he'd forget time was a thing and would send "goodnight" texts after practice or schedules.
Sometimes that would be like 3 in the morning and then he'd triple text an apology.
Luckily you would find it precious.
But not as precious as he thought YOU were.
He would always have a smile plastered on his face when he was around you.
He just thought you were so neat.
ღ Joshua: insane yet a gentleman
Listen, Joshua is insane but he's a gentleman. Especially to his baby.
When you agreed to be his, he felt like he won the lotto.
He would so mindful of you.
He would want to know everything about you.
As long as you were comfortable with it though.
TBH he would either do big gestures or little ones. No in between.
He would make you a bracelet with both of your favorite colors.
He would love to talk on the phone with you.
Especially at night after a long day of practices.
Even though he MUCH rather be with you in person, your voice is music to him.
You are his peace.
Overtime, you become apart of the 'evil twin' chaos with him and Jeonghan.
Seventeen would call you three the 'evil triplets'
If you are crazy as well, you get bonus points.
ღ Jun: shy giggly mess but would do anything for you.
If you were to tell Jun to jump, he'd ask how high.
Similarly to Seungcheol, he'd be extremely down bad.
He would constantly smile at you no matter what.
Like, you could sneeze and he would find it adorable.
At the beginning before he was 1000% comfortable, he would giggle a lot and overthink everything.
Hell, he over thought whether or not it was too soon to hold your hand.
YOU had to be the one to grab his hand and swing it back and forth.
(That action alone gave him butterflies for 7 business days btw.)
The more comfortable he got, the more silly he got which made you giggle and become the shy giggly mess.
He would send you random pictures throughout the day of things that made him think of you.
TBH I can see him bringing you random things that made him think of you.
like a cool ass rock? Totally would bring it to you because the color of the rock reminded him of your eye color or whatever LOL.
He just wanted to show you how much he liked you.
ღ Hoshi: pretty much what you would expect
Soonyoung wore a smile whenever you were around and even strangers could see how whipped he was.
Do you rememember Loco and Hwasa's interaction on "Hyena's on The Keyboard?" Yeah basically, Soonyoung would be like Loco toward you. Especially the car scene when he bought Hwasa a lipstick LMFAO
You would make him so flustered most days and it was honestly so cute.
The days he was a bit more confident would make you so flustered but unlike you where it was unintentional his was intentional.
Cuddly lil tiger... rawr (I'm so sorry)
Honestly, just being near you was all he needed for a good day.
When you both were busy with various schedules, he would send you texts throughout the day and send you pictures and videos of things that made him think of you.
Which would honestly be basically everything because you were ALWAYS on his mind.
Basically just a cuddly lil simp that was so happy to be yours.
ღ Wonwoo: the biggest cheerleader tbh
All members would be hella supportive of their significant others but I feel like Wonwoo would be the most supportive.
Not in a way that would be overly shown but would bring you flower after big projects and things like that.
Loves to listen to you talk about projects, aspirations, and all at.
He is all smiles whenever you talk about things you are SUPER passionate about.
His love language would be acts of service so he would do his best to do things that would make your life a bit more easier.
Also would be a subtle romantic. He would take you on casual but meaningful dates.
If you went to an arcade he would make sure he won you a plushie.
Also, if you thought you were paying for anything, that would be cute.
Also, if you were also a gamer and wanted to play minecraft, he would put your beds next to each other in your shared house.
Just the best cheerleader <3
ღ Woozi: feels like he won the lottery
Jihoon feels like he won the lottery when it comes to you.
He found someone that liked him for Jihoon and not just because he was Woozi?!
He would constantly be shocked that you were so supportive of him and vice versa.
After like the second date, he already felt like you were going to be a muse for him.
Writes the cutest love songs for your ears only.
They would be some of the most vulnerable lyrics that would make you just cry because they were so beautiful.
He isn't a very touchy guy but he would hold your hands often.
Is a homebody mostly but would step out of his comfort zone to go on an adventure with you.
You both have 'secret gestures' when out in public. If you are nervous or want him to know you are thinking of him, you tug at your left ear twice. For him, he will rub the top of his nose bridge twice.
It gives him butterflies if you do it in front of y'all's friends.
He's honestly so down bad for you and just constantly grateful for you.
ღ DK: down bad, comfortable, your new best friend.
Seokmin had the biggest crush on you before you started dating. When you both got together he felt like the luckiest son of a bitch ever.
The other members would tease him constantly because he was so down bad and such a simp for you.
But hey, you weren't complaining because you also were down bad and a simp for him lol.
You both skipped the "awkward" parts of the beginning of a relationship and it just always felt so comfortable.
Even when it was learning about what you both liked and disliked.
You both just fit together like a puzzle piece.
You both were head over heels for each other super quick.
He just was your best friend and vise versa.
ღ Mingyu: 25/8 heart eyes and so thankful for you.
Mingyu was super emotional when it came to you.
He was a mix of Seungcheol and Seokmin where he was just so down bad for you and just so comfortable around you.
Similarly to Seungcheol, he would also think long term.
He just loved and craved doing domestic things with you.
He loved cooking, he loved movie nights, he loved late night drives where you were the best passenger princess.
Shit, he even loved folding laundry with you which he helped you do when it was pouring rain and y'all had to cancel reservations because the rain was so bad.
He just was so enchanted to be with you and love you.
Oh also, he is such a clingy man and would always want to hold your hand or be touching you in some way.
ღ Minghao: the moment when the anti-delulu becomes delulu for his baby
Minghao would find you to be the most precious person in the world.
He would want to do everything and anything for you.
He would constantly look at you with heart eyes.
He would be constantly flustered because of your antics.
He would think you were the most precious-est person to ever ever exist.
You would be a muse for him and his paintings.
Omg, if you both did paint dates, his heart would explode because you were both doing something he loved together.
If you were someone that likes to read, you both would cuddle and get lost in your books while near each other.
To him, you are perfect.
And to you, he is perfect.
ღ Seungkwan: he would want to be perfect because you deserve it
Seungkwan is very cautious about his image with him being an idol and doing variety shows often.
For first bit of the relationship, I can see him trying to prove something to you.
He would try his best to be perfect for you that you would have to sit him down and tell him that you like him for him. That him being an idol is just a lil bonus.
This would hard rewire his brain and he would learn how to be himself with you.
He is very vulnerable with you.
A lot of the members love that you bring a more casual side to him.
However, he would love if you were sassy and would be side eyeing people with him.
Imagine a lot of self care days with him. Like face masks while eating take out.
He just loves being around you because he feels safe.
You become his safe place <33333
ღ Vernon: partners in crime and just so thankful for you.
Hansol finding you was a dream come true and he often thanked the stars for finding you.
You both spoke in movie, vine, and tiktok quotes.
Most of your text convos are of random memes.
Some of the older members look at your relationship and just think "?????"
However, Hansol and you don't give a rats ass because you both understand and that is what matters.
He would match clothes with you.
He would often let you borrow his clothes because he thinks they looked way better on you then him.
He would show you his solo stuff before he showed anyone else.
He is just so in love with you awww.
ღ Dino: Down bad doesn't even cover it
I know I said Seungcheol was the ultimate when it came to being "down bad" but holy shit Lee Chan.
He would be a mix of all of his hyungs tbh
However, he would be so down bad that his hyungs would tease him.
He would bring you up ALL the time.
He had you as his wallpaper and even had a polaroid picture of you both in his wallet.
He would be your biggest fan and he just loved you so much.
He would do tiktok dance challenges with you all the time.
He also would try to find things cool things to do on dates with you.

“Boss, it’s him. He’s still not answering but his locator says he’s somewhere in enemy territory.”
Your heart dropped at his words. Dammit. It couldn’t be true. Oh, those bastards were asking for war now. If it’s a fight they want, then it’s a massacre they’re going to get. You slammed your fist on your desk as you stood up, gritting your teeth. “Assemble the troops NOW. We’re getting him back, come hell or high water.”
Before you could get Jeonghan’s response, you swept out of the room ahead of him and marched down the stairs into the weapons room. Soonyoung and Chan snapped to attention as you stormed in and gathered your favorite guns. You even snagged a belt of grenades before leaving without a word from anyone. Reiterating your earlier point, if it’s a war that they want, then you’ll give them one hell of a massacre. You mess with your team and you will destroy yours.
Wonwoo quickly stepped in front of you before you could leave and find him. You flashed him your darkest glare before aiming a pistol at his forehead. He gulped but stood his ground like the good soldier you trained him to be. “Boss, think this through, please. It could be a trap they’ve set. He could be completely fine. All we know for certain is that he hasn’t contacted us in twelve hours.”
“Move out of my way before I shoot you down right here and now.” You replied, deadly calm, though your whole body trembled with unchecked rage. If it were any other member who hadn’t contacted you in awhile, you’d still be furious but this was your second-in-command. He always made sure to contact you as often as possible and never failed to give an update on his location whenever prompted. He was in serious trouble if he hadn’t contacted you yet.
Seeing just how serious and angry you were, Wonwoo faltered before finally relenting and moving out of the way. You could hear Joshua and Jeonghan telling Wonwoo to stop you, but you were already out the door and heading to your bike. You never went out on assignments and even if you did leave the mansion’s premises, you always had a designated chauffeur with you, as it was your second’s command. The two of you looked out for each other whenever you could. However, you had your own special motorcycle that no one was allowed to touch but you. Revving her to life, you sped away from the mansion and headed straight for the enemies heart. You knew back up would be following you sooner or later, so you weren’t too worried about going in guns blazing.
You arrived at an old, run down apartment complex and you sneered at the sight of it. This was it. You knew he was in there, waiting for you to come rescue him. After making sure your guns were locked and loaded, you checked to see that back up was only five minutes away. With a nod of your head, you snuck in, your gun raised high, ready to take out anyone who got in your way of getting to your second.
The quietness of the building had you even more on edge as you snuck down to the basement. There had to be a guard somewhere around here. They couldn’t be this stupid. You slunk into the pitch black basement, feeling the hair on your neck stand on end. Not only could you sense he was here, but the enemy was here as well. Someone was watching you and you knew they would be taking their shot any second now. However you were on a mission and you’ll be damned if those assholes were going to stop you from getting what you wanted.
The first bullet whizzed past your ear and you quickly ducked behind the faint outline of a pillar. You could hear him shouting from deeper in the basement, calling out your name. Your heart ached hearing the desperation in his voice, but you didn’t dare call out to him. If you did, you’re sure the enemy would be able to spot your location better. Besides, backup was still on their way.
Taking a deep breath, you stepped away from the safety of the pillar and fired two shots before hiding behind a different pillar. You heard a grunt of pain and his voice yelling louder for you. Soon. I’ll be there soon, you told him in your head. You could just barely see a light in the back of the basement where you knew they were holding him. All you needed to do was get there and the two of you would be home free.
Again, you took another deep breath before reaching for your grenade belt. Pulling out a flash bomb, you sighed to yourself, knowing how much of a risk this was going to be. You pulled the pin with your teeth before slamming it into the ground, your eyes squeezed shut tight. There was a lot of yelling and gunfire, a bullet nicking you in the shoulder. You bit back your yelp of pain and charged forward, guns blazing, using your hearing to gauge where the enemy was. Hopefully you were killing those bastards in cold blood. It’s what they deserve for taking what belongs to you.
You eventually made it to where you could see him and you almost sighed in relief when he started yelling. “BOMB! Y/N! THERE’S A BOMB!”
Bomb.
There was a bomb.
The bomb was him.
They had attached a bomb to him and it was counting down.
Backup better get here soon so help you God…
You didn’t get any closer to him but you tried to yell out to him, let him know you were here and you were safe and you weren’t going to leave without him. “S-”
Your mouth was muffled by a hand and you felt a gun press to your head. Dammit. Caught. He pushed you forward into the light so he could see you. Seungcheol’s eyes burned with a murderous fire as he saw you in the arms of the enemy. He started to struggle ferociously until the man holding you chuckled darkly.
“Now, I wouldn’t go doing that. It’ll only make the time go faster.”
Seungcheol immediately stilled but he kept seething. “Let her go dammit.”
“Mmm, I don’t think so.” He pulled you closer, making you gag. “I got the prize I wanted. Knowing her, backup is upstairs, waiting, and by the time your time runs out, the two of us will be long gone and the rest of her precious mafia will be blown to bits along with you, her precious second-in-command.”
Your skin ran cold picturing your men, your friends, your family, being demolished while you lived, albeit captive to the enemy. You couldn’t bear to live with yourself if that happened. Even though he was wearing gloves, you bit down as hard as you could on his hand. It didn’t do much, just like you thought, but the pistol whip was something you weren’t expecting. Your face stung as he slapped you hard with his gun. Seungcheol cried out in anguish which almost hurt more than the slap.
However, due to him using his hand with the gun to hit you, you managed to get one of your hands free enough to grab your own gun and shoot him. He instantly dropped to the floor, but you could care less. You were by Seungcheol’s side before the body hit the ground, trying to figure out how to disarm the bomb. Oh where was Wonwoo when you ACTUALLY needed him?
“I’m sorry.”
Seungcheol’s voice tore your attention away from the bomb and into his remorseful brown eyes. “What?”
He gave a ragged sigh. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have gotten caught. If only-”
“Shut up, you moron. It’s not your fault you got caught. It happens to the best of us. I don’t hold it against you.” You tried to make light of the situation, but it was a futile attempt.
Seungcheol gasped. “Y/N! LOOK OUT!”
You turned to see the guy you shot aiming his gun at me. Before you could react, he shot. He collapsed, officially dead. You gasped and looked down to see he shot you in the abdomen. Pressing your hands tightly to the wound, you laid down to aid in stopping the blood flow, however, you didn’t think it was going to work.
“Y/N!” Seungcheol screamed trying to get out of his restraints.
“Coups,” You whispered hoarsely. “Please. Stop moving. Don’t kill us both.”
There was some more gunfire before you saw Jihoon and Soonyoung leading the rest of the boys to where you were. Wonwoo instantly went to disarm the bomb as Joshua came to tend to your wound. You smiled softly at him as your vision started to blur.
“Y/N!” Seungcheol’s shout made you look over to see him crouching over you, the bomb disarmed and discarded.
You gave him a weak smile. “You’re safe now, Coups. Good. I can sleep peacefully now.”
“No, please, don’t do this to me.” He begged, grabbing your hand in his. “You’re going to be okay, I promise. Just keep breathing and don’t close your eyes on me, okay? I want to still see your eyes.”
“But…” You trailed off, “I feel so tired. Can’t I take a little rest?”
His eyes became even more frantic at your words. “No! Please! I’m begging you! Don’t leave me, dammit. Don’t you remember what you promised me when you made me your second-in-command? You and me against the world, remember? Don’t break that promise on me now. Please. Please, don’t leave me, Y/n. I love you. I love you too much to let you go. Please don’t go, Y/n. I love you.”
“I’M NOT DYING YOU IDIOT!” You practically shouted, sitting up with a bit of difficulty and a bit of help from Joshua. “He got me on the side, Coups, it’s nothing serious. Right, Josh?”
He nodded. “Yep, she’s completely fine.”
When you looked back over at him, his eyes were wide before that murderous fire returned to them. Grabbing your shoulders, he shook you violently, making you wince in pain. “DON’T SCARE ME LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN OR I REALLY WILL KILL YOU!”
“Hey! Easy with the injured!” Joshua shouted, prying Seungcheol’s hands off of you. “She may not be dying but if you keep doing that she might die from the blood loss.”
Looking away, he muttered, “Sorry.”
Chuckling, you picked up your hand that was still entwined with his. “So what were you saying as I lay “dying’’ earlier? You what?”
His cheeks became a brilliant shade of red as the boys started snickering at the flustered right hand man. “Please don’t make me say it again in front of them.”
“No, I think you should for that little stunt you pulled with the bomb, Coups. You know, your apology for getting caught, remember?” You stated nonchalantly, still focused on your locked hands as the boys continued to laugh.
Bright red and pouting, he said, “I love you, okay? I love you too much to let you go. There. Are you happy now?”
With a bright smile, you planted the biggest kiss on his lips. You could feel him tense in surprise before you pulled away to whisper, “There’s more than one reason why I made you my second.” As you went back to an upright sitting position, you giggled at his flustered state. “Yes, I’m happy now.”
“It’s about time you two got together.” Jeonghan commented dramatically. “It’s so annoying hearing about his inscent pining over you.”
“SHUT UP JEONGHAN OR I WILL KILL YOU AND IT WILL NOT BE DONE WITH MERCY!” Seungcheol screeched, making you laugh. He was right; it was about damn time the two of you got together. Who knew all it took was a bomb and a bullet wound?
