idk if this is accurate but i’ve felt like in previous seasons riz & gorgug have been one of the inter-bad kids dynamics we’ve seen the least of & this season has been so great in that aspect. gorgug having helped make some of riz’s magic gear. riz helping gorgug with his studies. the shared birthday party. gorgug’s gift to riz being something he himself made to protect riz. riz’s gift to gorgug being something he illegally grabbed to protect gorgug. gorgug who utilizes rage to put his body on the line for his friends & riz who will take deep levels of mental stress for his friends. even though it was within the context of a joke, riz calling gorgug an “absolute sweetie.” like yea they might not be in a band together or both part of a presidential campaign team or owlbears teammates, but they’d go to war for each other, because they’re best friends.

I have a simple fascination and joy in the thought that, for the Ghost King AU, most of the time Danny is literally so normal compared to other ghosts.
Like, he’s a kid. He looks like a kid. Going by canon appearances, he is the most human looking ghost we see (aside from Ellie). Even Plasmius is more inhuman, which is where all the vampire jokes come from. Every single one of this enemies is off even in a human disguise. They’re not human, and people don’t expect them to be.
So aside from the implications of Danny looking like a child ghost, I wonder what other characters would think if they summon the Ghost King, expecting this huge monstrosity worse than anything they’ve ever seen, and getting a totally normal human-looking kid.
I’d be terrified. Because if horror movies have taught us anything, it’s that the most innocent and normal looking people are the worst monsters you’ve ever seen.
Like, what is he hiding??

Prompt 184
“Well damn.”
Jason wrenched his gaze from the mess of red and green spattered across the room, searching for the source of the voice. His head hurt, he wanted his Dad. He wanted Bruce. He… his head hurt. His everything hurt.
“Honestly, didn’t expect them to find another half-breed. Didn’t think there was another halfa out there…”
He tore his gaze away from the floor- when had it gotten there- finally finding the other… person? The person giving him an empty smile through some sort of muzzle and missing an entire arm. Well, he couldn’t judge, he’d torn his nails off while digging out of his grave before… this.
“Hey, kid, don’t sweat it, it’ll grow back,” the man apparently noticed where he was staring, shoulder twitching as he shrugged and more green pouring out. Jason couldn’t stop staring, eyes slipping from the growing pool to the rest of the chains apparently keeping the person on that side of the… room? Cage? Cell?
“Shit, hey, kid, kid, don’t cry, uh, fuck, shh, kid don’t cry-” the person made a noise, some sort of hum or croon that caused him to relax. To his already brain-damaged confusion. “C’mere, away from the door now, shh…”
Oh, when had he started to move? It was like he blinked and was stumbling away towards the chained person, practically tripping over a limb before the person managed to catch him. “Ope, oh you’re just a little baby-” a hand, clawed, carefully ran through his hair, tucking him against a rumbling chest that nearly made him tear up again. He wanted Bruce.
“It’s alright kid, shh, they won’t get you,” the man rumbled, everything about him green to his rapidly closing eyes. Pale skin like a corpse, black scales like rot, hair white like snow, all stained green with blood. “They’d have to kill me again for that.”

all is well in france! they didn't just lie about the teenager trying to run over a cop who was supposedly standing in front of the car to stop him (when in reality he was on the side at the car window pointing his gun directly in the car), most of the first media reports presented the kid as a recidivist delinquent to twist the narrative in their favor even though he had no record! also in the video that debunked their claims of legitimate defense, the policeman can be heard saying "open or I'll shoot you in the head". also it's not said here but most of the poc killed by the police in france are men and the numbers of killings by the police are steadily on the rise over the last few years (because of one law that was put in place in 2017 or around that time and gives policemen more situations in which they can use their weapons for legitimate defense or public security) if you still think France is the country of human rights and freedom bla bla bla, think again

I feel like we dont talk about one of the main reasons nico was ostracized at camp, not just because hes a son of hades.
Camp half blood is small enough so that rumors and information spread fast, but that doesn't mean they are always right. So imagine you're a random camper, and you're told nico, one of the new campers, gets in a big fight with Percy. During which he makes skeletons appear and somehow opens a huge crack in the floor. But percy wins and nico leaves camp.
Don't you think it would've rang a bell?
Don't you think it would've reminded them too much of two summers ago, with luke?
Dont you think everyone would've been even more scared, because now they know nico is a child of hades, one of the big three, and therefore very powerful?
There must have been so many rumors that summer of nico being part of the kronos army. Betraying camp just like luke did.
Of course after the battle of manhattan many people would've changed their minds. Hes in their side now, after all. But there are probably still many campers who think nico left them to join luke, before he changed their mind and helped them win against luke and kronos. People who still hold a grudge against him for joining the "enemy".

I think people are assuming the klck killing buddy was a split second decision, but brennan confirmed in the adventuring party that it was already on the table, which makes the pivot from aiming the crossbow at the proctor to sliting buddy's throat more of a "I only have time to do one thing" and less of a "panic and hit the eject"
Yupp! I just finished watching that episode, and I felt vindicated in that moment. It feels like it was always planned, something I suspected ever since Buddy was introduced and Kipperlilly mentioned her knowledge of everything to do with YES?. It seems much more likely that killing Buddy was always on the table, and his death was needed for everything to succeed the way they wanted. Wether it was so they could kill Kristen permanently/for a bit (which would kill the remnants of Cassandra), or if it was to gain access to Sol, that's unconfirmed. But I suspect it's something along those lines, as killing their clerics due to their divinity seems to be something of a pattern of theirs.
I strongly believe Kipperlilly intended to kill Buddy in that arena, she just never expected Kristen of all people to clock her before she was able to execute her plan. After all, if you can only do one thing, killing the proctor will just make their grades waver as an end result. But killing Buddy, whilst there's still dangerous monsters on the field? Well, they can't pass the Last Stand if they're all dead and without any ability to resurrect themselves. After all, why would she have stolen the gems if she hadn't intended to kill Buddy? She would've then only stolen Buddy's gems, but she also stole Kristen's. Meaning, Kristen couldn't revive anyone, either. Either way, she never intended for someone to ever leave the battlefield, that much is clear.
The motive, however, is still up in the air. But I'd bet it has something to do with Heaven and Creation, and perhaps also with making sure that if one of the Bad Kids died, they'd stay dead.
Kipperlilly's shock came from being caught, but her actions were still carefully calculated. It would, after all, have made more sense to kill Kristen if she acted out of pure shock if she had no back-up plan. Kristen is her rival, Kristen caught her, and Kristen is a cleric. Yet, she went for Buddy, somebody they had requested to have on their party. It all smells like pre-meditated murder to me.
