Day 7: Happy Birthday, Teru.

I have wanted to draw this pose ever since I saw the movie. This was the perfect opportunity. I really wanted to draw something that made me feel calm and happy. This is the result.
A little extra snippet for everyone as well. Enjoy!

Soft heels pad across a midnight-cast rooftop, the loud boisterous sounds of the party fading into the background like sun setting below the horizon.
The air is moist and thick with spring-time mildew. It sticks to the ground, making everything wet, and layering the world in a slight chill.
The pair sit down on the edge of the rooftop and the taller of the two smiles. "Thanks for stepping away from your own party for me," he says, fingers playing with a brightly colored gift in his lap.
A wave of a hand and a snort, "You know I never mind Shige. Besides," he leans foreword, eyeing the gift with sparkling blue eyes, "I see you have something for me~?"
Shigeo nods and passes the gift over, the corner of his eyes crinkling in amusement, but barely visible in the dark blue of midnight. "I do. Happy Birthday, Teru," he leans over, giving him a soft kiss on the cheek.
Teru (even after all these years) blushes, waving his hands up and down as he takes the gift. "Ahh stop it you!" He places the gift in his lap, blue eyes softening. He stares down at it and then tilts his head up, looking out at the night sky in front of them.
After a few more seconds of pause, he finally says, "You know. If it's okay... can I open it later?"
"Of course. You probably know what it is anyway, you did give me a list."
A boisterous laugh escapes his lips, which then slides like melting ice into a soft smile. He sets the gift to the side and scoots closer, intertwining their hands as he nestles his head on his husbands shoulder. "Honestly... I love parties, but I love just sitting here with you just as much. It's a really beautiful night."
Shigeo tilts his head down, rubbing his face into blonde hair. "Mmm. I like it too."
A breeze picks up, ruffling their clothes, the scent of wet concrete tickling their noses. Cars drive past below, rumbling in and out of sight.
Even deep in the city, the sounds of crickets in a nearby park float aimlessly through the breeze, filling the edges of the sounds.
The tranquility is broken by thumping footsteps and a door swinging open loudly, startling to two as they turn towards the sound.
"Birthday Boy!!" Shou yells, "Stop smooching and get down here for you cake!!"
Teru glares, "Shou, I was just enjoying a moment, how do you always know when to ruin it..."
A shrug, "Eh, I just have amazing timing like that."
Ritsu also pops his head out the door, hand already on Shou's collar, "I can give you guys 10 minutes, but if you don't come down by then this," he shakes Shou, "is going to eat your cake."
Shigeo lets out a breathy laugh, "Thanks Ritsu. We'll be back down soon."
Ritsu nods, pulling Shou away as the other yelps in frustration.
Teru tries to keep on his annoyed face but it dissolves into a cracked smile as he leans back into Shigeo's shoulder. "He's such a dork."
Shigeo answers with a hum, pressing close.
Even in the city, the stars are visible, dancing above them in a quiet hum. A far off symphony that they cannot hear but the light sings like strings reverberating through the night. Mixing with the low drone of the city, an ambient tranquility that rests light on their shoulders.
Shigeo squeezes their intertwined fingers. "Happy Birthday, Teru."

Ok ok ok so I have this mp100 roleswap au that I’m not gonna do anything with (me when i lie /hj) but I wanna talk about it so here we go. Spoilers for mp100 ofc.

cast lol:
“master… you shouldn’t let others push you around.” suzuki (hanazawa) “teru” teruki is the main character in this au. he’s a normal middle school boy that just happens to be well liked by his classmates. He tries not to stand out too much despite this (think s1 ritsu) because he’s afraid of hurting people with his powers. He relies a lot on his abilities and is a little stuck up but he has a good heart and tries his best. unlike canon mob he’s quick to jump in head first into problems when people annoy him. He masks his true emotions with anger which causes a lot of trouble more often than not. he’s eager to learn new techniques and when he does exorcisms he’s not afraid to show off a little. only when things get desperate for his loved ones does he get serious. he cares a lot about fashion and his hair. (that’ll be important later lol)
“what’s important is staying true to yourself… just be kind, hanazawa.” serizawa katsuya is teru’s mentor. he’s a former shut in that in the later half of his life tried to get his life together. Now he’s a broke psychologist that situated his office in the cheapest place he could find. in the beginning of the story he’s very easy to walk all over because he lacks confidence but teru’s wit compensates for that… somewhat. he’s shy and a bit awkward but is ready to put his life on the line for teru. he’s become really attached to the kid almost considering him family. he tends to close himself off but has been trying his best to be as honest as possible with teru. serizawa is usually very calm and collected, being able to deal with clients with ease (he’s not as nervous when he’s in his element) but his temper is something to be feared when he finally loses his composure. he’s also a huge nerd lol. sarcasm is added to his vocabulary as teru rubs off on him.
“i’m proud of you teruki. you’re going to go far in life.” mogami keiji is a pessimistic spirit used to be a famous psychic in life. now in death he just wants to control people and bring the world to the state he wants it to be. he wants everyone to conform so he can easily punish those who deserve it. he doesn’t care if his methods are unethical but he starts to change his mind about the world once a certain esper beats him up. at first he attempts to manipulate teru into becoming his sympathizer so he could use him (mogami land) but it backfires. he ends up babysitting said esper instead and learning things from him. he realizes that not everyone is terrible and that goodness can come from unexpected places… even himself.
“you… consider me your rival!? uh, well… i’ll try not to wander too far then.” kageyama “mob” shigeo is teru’s closest friend. previously he was the accidental shadow leader from black vinegar. he usually doesn’t stand out among the crowd but had made an underground name for himself fighting other delinquents with his psychic powers. it started out as an accident but it ended up escalating from there. the black vinegar delinquents threatened him (they were going to hurt his brother) so they could use him as their pawn. he is a kind and gentle person at heart but eventually he fought others to vent out his frustrations of things the delinquents made him do and his complicated family situation. after teru shows him a better way to live (by beating him up) mob turns his life around. he becomes more like canon mob, awkward but determined. he becomes more popular at school with his softer disposition. teru looks up to him, his kind nature and his ability to transfer his emotions to others being inspiring. mob likes to hang out at serizawa’s office when he’s bored as an excuse to see teru his better father serizawa (mob is so in love with teru)
“just let me say sorry, idiot!” suzuki shou is teru’s younger brother. they aren’t related by blood but they’ve pretty much known each other their whole lives. they were close once but slowly drifted apart as teru stopped being open with what he was truly feeling. they were on good terms but things were a little tense. shou is hot headed but gentle as he was taught by his mother. he’s fairly popular at school for his outgoing nature as well as his art. (forced to join the student council by his father. he said it would “teach him how to be more responsible”) he didn’t gain any psychic powers until middle school so he was always jealous of his brother for having them and was extremely afraid of him losing control. He's different from canon ritsu in the way that he actually likes his brother’s mentor (but that might just be because serizawa is genuinely likable) he isn’t necessarily protective of his brother he just wanted to have a connection with him. post edgy arc they have more sibling banter.
“i’m reigen arataka, the greatest esper of the 21st century! of course I can deal with something as simple as psychology! haha…” reigen arataka is a former con artist that was down on his luck. after quitting his office job, he would go from failed business venture to failed business venture. eventually due to the stress of his parents telling him he was a failure and his run down business he awakens his psychic powers. since he couldn’t control them he started accidentally attacking innocent customers. he becomes a fake detective and takes on a mysterious and dangerous case to get away from others. one day as he’s investigating he gets attacked by a spirit. now scared and alone he was saved by kageyama who promised him a stable job and promised to teach him how to use his powers. he worked under kageyama, using a curse spray (mixed with salt for regular people) to distract his opponents. he never actually killed anyone… just put them to sleep. reigen never truly liked what he was doing but he’d do whatever he can to survive and prove to everyone that they were wrong about him. he fought teru and came to the conclusion that there was more to life than just surviving. he opted to ask (beg) serizawa for a job after he saves him. he works as a full time exorcist/secretary at serizawa’s office, handling the marketing and business sides of things.
“dad can’t get more embarrassing can he?” kageyama ritsu is mob’s younger brother and a “friend” of shou’s. he’s closest of the brothers to their father and has been the child who was expected to inherit the world after kageyama takes over. in reality he hates his father for what he has been doing and has been completely overwhelmed with balancing the wellbeing of his brother and planning the defeat of his father. he puts a lot of pressure on himself and doesn’t always feel like he can be his true self. he seems to have a little distain towards teru. shigeo and ritsu have a better relationship in this au because the accident had never happened but they are still a little closed off due to their current circumstances. ritsu is much less cruel (i guess??) than canon shou was in season 1 but he tends to exude a stressed and intimidating aura that scrares people off. he’s more present in the story since he and mob go to the same school and live alone together.
“at this rate i won’t have time today to work on my novel…” aikyo emi is teru’s “crush” and childhood friend. she gives in easily to peer pressure and goes along with the crowd in fear of being ostracized. she’s shy and lacks self confidence but she’s very passionate about writing. teru steps in to defend her one day when they were young and they became friends. they aren’t very close now but emi appreciates his company. everyone seems to have high expectations for her and teru but she isn’t interested. she just wishes she could be loved for who she is and not who people want her to be.
“tch, i’m sure telepaths exist… probably.” takenaka momozou is a normal student at salt middle. he’s the president of the dying tenis club. he’s passionate about espers (new), and tenis. he meets teru when he’s looking for a new recruit for his club after tome storms off. post the events of the mp100 he works part time at serizawa’s office and becomes like family to them. i have an idea for him but i can’t really put it into words so you get this for now.
“you’re never gonna get better like that ya dummy! better keep drawin’ or i’ll hit ya with a demon rush!” onigawara tenga is the leader of the art club. he isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty against the gangs but he tries to restrain himself when it comes to being a good example for his club. onigawara has a mixed reputation due to his temperament (that’s why no one joins the club lol) but he’s actually really sweet. he’s hotheaded and stubborn like teru so they clash at times. despite their disagreements he’s willing to dive headfirst into black vinegar to save teru only to find out it was due to a misunderstanding with musashi.
“why won’t you join me!? can’t you see you can become god with my help!” dimple is a powerful evil spirit with only one goal: becoming god. he’s generally more peaceful in nature using group hypnosis to force people to follow him. he’s selfish and rude and would do almost anything to reach his goal. he posseses an innocent girl mezato in hopes of scouting out someone that could help him gain more influence. also i was thinking that he creates this big cult and builds a theme park or something so it’s a literal “ekuboland” (mogamiland always sounded like a theme park to me) like the official merch lol. he’s not actually that bad and can change since he’s pretty much the same as canon dimple but i’m not sure how to go about that arc tbh.
general notes:
the some of the awakening lab kids are teru’s friends from the art club. they’re kinda divided into both the art club and tennis club.
edano is teru’s acquaintance from the tennis club (takes the place of inukawa but also some of onigawara i think)
musuashi and the body improvement club are the same i think. musashi specifically just gets roped up in the black vinegar drama on accident which causes the whole thing.
the former telepathy club is now part of the awakening lab… maybe?? tome would totally go there and become a member just to learn more about her powers (she replaces takenaka as the telepath)
tsubomi is still popular. she goes along with the dare her friends made her do but she’s upfront about it and teru could care less cause he isn’t interested. so ig they might think that the other is kinda snobby and the episode is them realizing that they’re kinda similar and can’t judge each other by appearances so they become besties.
toichiro is happily married and not a toxic dad (a bit overbearing but oh well) domestic toichiro for the win!!
the ultimate 5 are somehow swapped with some of the seventh division. some of the seventh division would be swapped within themselves??? maybe??? they’d all be besties with serizawa after tho fr!!
roshuuto and jodo could be swapped for the funnies. shinra is silly so idk who to swap him with…
oh yeah mezato is swapped with minori btw. minori is rich but goes to salt middle and is a jerk but teru isn’t having any of that so she’s chill. there’s no cult formed about teru, just minori getting proper character development like she deserves.
broccoli will probably be a tomato or a strawberry instead…
oh yeah also since i headcanon teru as gay uh maybe he realizes he doesn’t actually like emi that way and he was just gaslighting himself into thinking he liked her and he realizes that during the final arc along with other stuff about himself ofc. i’m sorry everything has to be gay with me i can’t make teru like women i’m sorry it just isn’t possible
Now the background info:
the incident that gets teru to repress himself is a little bit different. his bio parents were afraid of him and treated him terribly. the day of the incident they were yelling at him. shou, a neighbor and close friend saw this and ran in to defend him. his mother grabbed shou and threw teru to the floor allowing ???% to manifest itself. everyone is hurt and his parents take this opportunity to get rid of teru. The suzukis feel bad for teru and decide to adopt him (no one but shou knows teru he caused the incident) from then on teru lives with the suzukis and considers them his true family. he doesn’t quite remember what happened but does he know is that he can’t control his powers like he thought he could. he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt.
teru ends up at a psychiatric office, mistaking the it for a spiritual consultation office after seeing a rundown sign that hadn’t been replaced. serizawa, the psychologist that owns the small office, answered the door. teru, excited and eager to learn from a “professional”, completely ignored serizawa’s protests of not actually being an esper. he pretty much appoints himself as serizawa’s disciple. serizawa gives in and let’s him tag along after seeing his abilities and that the child genuinely needed help. he doesn’t tell teru he has powers but after he takes teru in but he doesn’t deny it either. he doesn’t want to lie so he just doesn’t say anything about it unless it’s to give advice. Though… he does add exorcisms to his line of work after teru joins to help train him. (he pays him appropriately.)

Favorite Character: I think either Reigen or Mob.
Least Favorite Character: Shimazaki, Mogami, Minori, or Toichiro. I think they're good characters but they annoyed me.
5 Favorite Ships: Serirei, Terumob, Ritshou and.. that's all. I don't think I have any other ships.
Character I find most attractive: ...Reigen and Shimazaki.
Character I would marry: I'd marry Reigen only to divorce him a week later and take all his money.
Character I would be best friends with: Teru!! He's such a sweetie!!!
A random thought: I love Mob and Dimple's friendship. The way Dimple grows to care for Mob is just..hghhhhh.
An unpopular opinion: I'm not sure if this is unpopular, but Tsubomi doesn't owe Mob anything. Tsubomi haters are always acting like she's satan when she's literally a child.

My Non-Canon Otp: Terumob is super cute and I love them,,
Most Badass Character: Mob. He's just a boy.
Most Epic Villain: Teru isn't a villain, but I really liked when he was an antagonist for that one episode. Since we're talking about actual villains, uhhhh.. Shimazaki or Mogami?
Pairing I am not a fan of: Aside from the obvious, Mob x Mezato. I honestly didn't care for Mezato and I don't see them together as a pairing.
Character I feel the writers screwed up: Mob and Ritsu's parents??? Idk, they just had nothing going on for them.
Favorite Friendship: Mob and Dimple! Also Ritsu and Shou.

unpopular opinion? I don’t like part 5. Like I literally like part 1 better. There’s no specific reason all the characters are cool(i love fugo) but it just feel so rushed and you never get to learn anything about the characters ig and mp100- uh I don’t know 😭 let me think OH!!! Onigawara is the most amazing best character he needed more screen time and why did he have to leave to high school whywhyeheyehywhy I miss him(sobs)

This was inspired from an ask by @tanaennos (that I can't find !!), and is super old.
More about the Firefighter AU: Teru is an elementary teacher and Ritsu and Shou are in his class, they are his problematic kids because they love doing doing pranks but is so hard to catch them since Ritsu plans everything.
On a teacher-parents meeting (Shigeo goes because his mom is sick and his father is taking care of her), Teru and Mob meet each other for the first time. Shigeo looks so plain and just agrees about giving Ritsu a talk about being a good boy. Teru doesn't think much about it.
Until the apartment complex where he lives catches fire, and oh surprise, there's a handsome firefighter who is helping everyone with a gentle smile. It just happens to be his student's plain and cold big brother.
Teru invites the fire department to talk about fire safety in the school and they even decide to do a school play about it.
All the kids love Shigeo, Ritsu is really proud of his big brother, everyone has fun but Teru is struggling with a growing crush while being oblivious about all the way too honest flirting Shigeo is doing.

Self insert in interests time ^__^ I wrote about me and my siblings (mp100 fans gang) when we were at 14 years old and ranked which of the kids we'd be closest to and why! It's so interesting and fun to do this. I encourage u guys to try it out.
Results without analysis are:
Me: 1) Shou 2) Tome = Teru 3) Mob 4) Tsubomi 5) Ritsu
For context I was an autistic kid who got grouped with the pretty dancer girls regularly slutshamed by nuns who ran our school
My little sister: 1) Ritsu 2) Shou 3) Tsubomi 4) Mob 5) Tome 6) Teru
For context she's an overachiever and student leader, artist and athlete (undisputed arm wrestling champ, has abs). She fucking hates everyone but is fake about it. She's very petty and is out for blood regularly
My older sibling: 1) Mob 2) Ritsu 3) Tsubomi, Shou 4) Teru 5) Tome
For context they also hate everyone but they don't try to hide it. Judgmental and mean for fun. Well known for artistic skills and attractive face. Loner by choice. People are very scared of them and they enjoy that
Me at 14 y/o
Childlike. I had a slow maturity
Socially unaware, had difficulty reading social cues and realizing high school popularity politics
Friends with everyone because I didn't judge anyone
Tactless which is a double edged sword. I praised people as easily as I insulted them. Both of those were unintentional
default friend group: pretty dancer girls who nuns hated and thought of as dumb whores destined to be tumors in society
My friendship rankings:
Shou - most of my closest friends were the mature, responsible types who were very proactive. Yes athletic too (they play diff sports tho) but that's irrelevant. By "proactive" I mean they were always making plans and carrying them out. We went on a hunt for the best cheesecake in our town, for example. I felt closest to them because they treated me like an equal despite being slower than most of our peers. They listened to what I had to say even if I didn't make sense most of the time. THEYRE AWESOME! I LOVE YOU *** AND **** AND *** AND THE REST OF YOU❗❗
Tome = Teru - I always love and appreciate people who speak their minds. I struggled a lot with reading social cues. I still do but it was like hell when I was a kid, it drove me to tears. Tome and Teru being an open book would make me feel so comfortable with them. Since I'm as honest and tactless as they are I think we'll get along. We also have similar interests! Tome and I like games. Teru also has self-absorbed tendencies lol and I enjoy it when people like themselves so I'd have fun hyping him up when he does that.
Mob - I would feel very comfortable with Mob because of his maturity and kindness but I had insecurity when I was 14 and I would feel too dumb to spend time with him. He'd be someone I admired from afar. If we're talking about present me however, Mob would definitely be number one! Except I don't really hang out with kids which is why I aged myself down to 14 for this list.
Tsubomi - She'd be the one I spend the most time with since I was in the popular girls clique. I loved my friends very much and they took care of me. But I didn't feel like their equal. They were mature, talking about adult and scary occult stuff, so I always felt left behind. I would love Tsubomi too but I wouldn't feel comfortable with her, I'd feel like I'm too immature to keep her company.
Ritsu - Next to Tsubomi, he's the one I'd spend the most time with since I was always doing student leader responsibilities because my friends won't stop fucking voting for me! I had a civil and friendly relationship with the other student leaders but we always returned to our respective friend groups after our duties. I wouldn't be able to sense his fakeness so I wouldn't feel uncomfortable with him but he wouldn't cross my mind either.
My little sister at 14 y/o
One of the physically strongest in her batch (undisputed arm wrestling champion, volleyball spike of death)
Fake as fuck. Hates nearly everyone in her school but gets along with them to make life easier
Overachiever. Always on the honor roll as well as being artistic, athletic and a student leader. Loves every second of it
Petty. Eats jealous schoolmates for breakfast. Never forgets when someone wrongs her. Always out for blood
No such thing as freeloaders when you're in her group.
Lots of boys have crushes on her. Has them all ignored on messenger
Her friendship ranking:
Ritsu - She might relate more to Tsubomi but Tsubomi doesn't have the appropriate amount of bitterness and rage that would entice her. She would love to hang out with a fellow overachiever who is fake and hates everyone. Her need for trashtalking is insatiable. It would also do good for Ritsu to let off some steam by venting to her.
Shou - She'd fucking love Shou. Aside from their very similar interests, she always itches for competition as long as its respectful. She also appreciates people who don't hesitate like she does. When her peers act too pussy (her words) it just annoys her. She'd prefer the type of people who can make up their minds. She appreciates more people who flat out reject her invites instead of dancing around a decision for a week. Only problem is if Shou acts too clingy to her, she'd block his ass. Him being clingy is understandable bc of his fucked up childhood but also my little sister is also a kid who values her boundaries.
Tsubomi - my sister won't like how nice Tsubomi is but she'd respect it. Probably. She would definitely encourage her to go batshit. She's also down to bully relentless admirers for her. They have a lot in common so my sister would understand her situation better than most people and would try to help her out but only as much as tsubomi would let her.
Mob - She'd like mob a lot because he's genuine. She has a classmate she's very fond of who is very much like mob before he matured. She's always encouraging and supporting that kid. When she was president she rallied for the kid to be vice president and when he won, he took his position way too seriously which delighted her. She really likes humble, genuine people but i dont see her relying on him for anything which is why I don't think they'd be very close.
Tome - Tome is a slacker so she won't even register on my sister's social circle. If they became groupmates and Tome slacked off, they'd fucking fight for sure. But Tome still gets point for respect since she's strong-willed and speaks her mind.
Teru - honestly my sister is a judgmental bitch and if she sees how flashy and egoistic teru is she'd avoid him like the plague. When she gets to know him she'd be proven wrong of course but she doesn't really make an effort to get close to people she wasn't already close with since she met them
My older sibling at 14 y/o
Very mature and wise, very artistic, well-known for their talents
Also fucking hates everyone but doesn't try to hide it
Judgmental and mean for fun
Popular girls were scared shitless of them. Idk wtf they did

Reigen was always good at reading people, me particularly.
He was better than Ritsu, who had lived his whole life around me, and better than Teru, who was arguably horrible at the task.
Reigen knew me better than anyone I knew.
He could tell what percentage I was at before I could even spill the numbers.
Even though he was never as great as he said, and I had known he was a fraud for years, I do believe that somewhere deep down, Reigen did have an ability.
Reigen passed the year after I graduated high school, so I guess we'll never really know.
It was a couple months ago, but I'm still not strong enough to talk about it.
I'm struggling to live as an adult without him.
There's no one who can really understand my situation as much as he did.
Even though I love Ritsu and Teru dearly, and they're working hard to get in the level Reigen was once, they'll never be Reigen.
I'm never going to have a person like that again.
… Probably.
Before he passed, I used to text him when I was starting to get overwhelmed, about to meltdown, and he'd help me ground myself, keep it under wraps.
Sometimes he'd call, he had a comforting voice.
I find myself still texting his old number, I'm sure it goes to some random person now who didn't even know who Reigen was, but that doesn't stop me.
I apologize a lot in those messages.
Partially because it was my fault he passed.
Partially because I feel bad for dumping all my emotional baggage on the person actually receiving these.
I vent about my day, I scroll up and read our old conversations, I take pictures of things that remind me of him and send them.
… Part of me is half expecting him to respond.
Part of me is hoping he's gonna text back and say "Aw, what a cute puppy, Mob! Be sure to give it lots of pets for me!"
And then he doesn't.
I had a meltdown at his funeral, it was embarrassing.
Dimple didn't know what to do with me, Ritsu was trying to get everyone to settle down.
Teru tried to comfort me from afar.
I cried a lot that day.
I couldn't leave the house for weeks.
I got fired from my job because I hadn't come into work so long.
I stayed home alone, constantly at my limit.
100% loneliness.
100% sadness.
100% mourning.
I think the stages of grief work differently for me, I never had a denial, bargaining, or anger stage.
I jumped right into depression, head first.
I'm working my way out of it, though.
Reigen had no living family, but he had put me in his will, so I had gotten most of everything he ever owned. Ritsu tried to get me to get rid of it, but I was already attached to most of it.
So I kept most of his belongings.
Teru wasn't mad when most of our apartment was cluttered with Reigen's stuff, and I was stuck in the middle of the apartment, desperately trying to cope.
He organized it, framed pictures and put away books.
I still couldn't cope. But he insisted that was okay.
I readjusted my routine, trying to keep my lost father figure as far from my mind as possible, but he still forced his way in.
Today, Dimple insisted that I visit Reigen's grave for the first time in months. Ritsu said it was a bad idea, that it would only awaken more grieving, but… Maybe it could be the closure I needed.
The train was loud, so I had worn my ear defenders, and sat close to the window while I waited for my stop.
I felt like a middle schooler again, on my way to the Spirit and Consultation Office after school.
I wasn't, but it was a nice warm feeling to be reminded of.
My stop came along, and I hopped off the train and headed towards the graveyard. It was autumn, the wind had just gotten chilly and the leaves started to fall. I slipped off my ear defenders and continued walking.
"Dimple," I asked, "Were you ever… Human? Or were you just always a spirit?"
Dimple looked back at me, I'm sure if he had shoulders he would shrug, "Don't really know, Shigeo. I've been like this for as long as I can remember, so I doubt I was ever human. Why?"
I looked down towards the ground, shoving my hands in my pockets, "Maybe… I've been too consumed by grief to think about this before, but I'm wondering if maybe… Reigen is a spirit now."
"Don't get your hopes up."
"I know but… It'd be a nice thought. To actually talk to him again instead of just… texting his old number like he's still there."
"Maybe so, but would it really feel any better to know he's stuck here instead of going into the afterlife?"
I fell silent again, Dimple might've been right, maybe I was selfish for wanting that.
I don't like the idea of him being stuck here forever.
What if he asks me to exorcise him? Would I be able to do it?
Would I… be able to live with killing him twice?
"Don't think about it too much, kid," Dimple reassured, "Think about something else, like… Oh, Serizawa's coming to town soon, isn't he?"
I nodded, "He is, he's going to take over the business, and probably move up here. He left to visit family for awhile… the grief was too much for him."
"And your brother is getting married soon, right?"
"I think so… I hope he and Shou don't feel like Teru and I are pressuring him since we're already married… Teru and I have just been together since middle school."
"Ah, I'm sure he doesn't feel like that, hey look! We're there," Dimple replied.
I looked up at the entry way gate, and headed on in.
I could feel the presence of many spirits, most of which were good meaning, as I moved down the aisles. I remembered which one was Reigen's, I'm not quite sure why I memorized that, as I came across the gravestone.
Reigen Arataka
1993-2025
A father to all,
A lover to one.
I remember Serizawa picking out that inscription, he confronted me about it before confirming it.
It was the first thing to make me smile during the week of Reigen's death.
I took a breath, looking down at the grave, and then getting on my knees.
The ground was cold, and I felt no presence here.
"Reigen…" I started, trying to collect myself, "I'm really sorry. About… everything. About the fight I got you involved in, the people I got you involved in with, not taking over the business like you wanted… I'm really sorry about that one, I should've done it, but it feels so… so… empty without you… Serizawa said he was gonna take it, though. I know he's gonna take good care of it, I'll work under him, too. Maybe someday… I'll let go enough to be able to do it? I don't know…"
I balled up the fabric of my jeans into my hands, trying to keep it together.
"I've been texting your old number, I'm having such a hard time living without you… I love Ritsu, and Teru, and Dimple but… I don't think there's a person in the world who could get me quite as well as you did. You taught me a lot of things, I'm not sure if I'd be the same person without you. Teru, as patient as he is, is probably tired of my mourning and constant depression. I had a meltdown at your funeral, I'm sorry about that, too, it was really embarrassing…"
I fell silent again, biting my tongue.
"I think… I'm happy about the moments we spent together, though. There could've been so much more, you died so young, but the ones we had… they make me pretty happy. A part of me, though, has been thinking about you on the afterlife. Wondering if you're a spirit and wondering… how much damage I can do with my powers. It was my fault you passed, my fault that many people passed and now I'm wondering… am I really a good person? Am I doing good enough? Will I ever… live up to what you thought of me?"
There's silence in the air as I feel the emotions build up once again.

"I'm really nothing without you, I'm so annoying to everyone because you're all I can talk about. I can't remember the last time I saw my parents, Serizawa left town for awhile, Teru's coping by overworking himself and here I am, crying to someone who isn't here anymore and can't do anything to help. Here I am, texting a dead person and still praying they'll text back and… And… I'm just…"

"I'm just so… fucking lonely, Reigen, I'm so fucking lonely."
There isn't a response. But I expected that. Nothing but the wind as I still pray to hear a familiar voice.
Just one more time, please.

"Hey, Mob!"
I lift my head up, and I'm met with a ghostly figure of someone I once knew.
"Still venting to me from the afterlife, huh?"

Most Badass Character: Clearly Shigeo has the biggest most raw powers, but he’s most badass in his character development i think, in the way he sees the world, how he as a main character manages to skip all the “i’m a misunderstood and lonely person bc of my powers” and realize he is the person he is bc he has people around that loves and cherishes him as he is, and that way he feels compelled to be good and kind and the best version of himself.... Epic. Also Reigen is badass bc as ridiculous a character he is, with dubious morals and a lying habit, he is a good person overall and also would die for his loved ones. And idk how he can get away with everything tbh, my mind explodes anytime he twists words and ends up winning arguments, like sir... thats a mad skill right there

When I started shipping them: like a month and a half ago? I thought they were cute together a lot of time ago, but it was when i started hardly hyperfixating on mp100 when i was like *eyes emoji* over serirei. Watching the OVA and then reading the manga and all the theories supporting the thesis that its a slow burn coworkers to friends to lovers made me go ♥♥♥♥♥♥
My thoughts: they are dumbasses in LOVE
What makes me happy about them: their interactions overall are priceless, they balance each other a lot and give each other a sense of purpose and stability. Also, i project a little on serizawa and reigen is... y’know.... a flamboyant kind of dude.... which is my type, so.....
What makes me sad about them: the angst when thinking reigen could doubt his feelings or actions around serizawa, worrying over he isnt manipulating him into thinking he is in love, and serizawa thinking he isnt enough for reigen bc he is too nervous about not having enough relationship experience.....
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: when they picture them realizing they have feelings for each other bc they are jealous thinking they could be dating other ppl. I am polyamorous so i Do Not vibe with this trope At All
Things I look for in fanfic: pining... longing.... yearning.... then kiss... fluff.... thats enough to make me cry tbh
My wishlist: (idk what this is about so im skipping hh)
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: idk??? there arent many other characters they have that many chemistry...
My happily ever after for them: they start a thematic restaurant together! bc reigen loves cooking and with their success in Spirits & Such he decides to become a chef and Serizawa works with him, while also attending people’s troubles with spirits. They keep their contact with Shigeo and the rest of the kids and go on trips with them often. They see them grow up and become good people that go after their dreams, and are there for them if they have any trouble or are going though a rough patch.

How I feel about this character: I feel like i have to protect him, but i guess he wouldnt accept it xd it makes me sad he has such an awful dad, and that it will probably lead to suffering to him as he grows up, bc that kind of abuse can really fuck you up, specially when you have to act like an adult to your parents at such a young age
Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: ritsu! they just click together, and i love how their relationship is depicted as super funny by other people. They are best friends first and over all, but also are in love.
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Its more of a headcanon but with Serizawa! I think he would get protective of Shou and try to check up on him from time to time, but Shou would do the same for him bc he is worried at how his dad treated him and the thing he said the last time they saw him. But actually they are projecting their own need to be protected on the other, so it ends up being kinda messy, but then they become friends and are able to laugh and do other stuff that doesnt include talking about Shou’s dad and Claw
My unpopular opinion about this character: i refer to him as redhead goku instead of jonny test xd
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: that his feelings about his dad were explored more deeply, and also the thing i said before about Serizawa, i think that would have been spot on and could be a character development thing for both

This week is hard mode emotionally so, we're gonna hyperfixate on the spirit forms of different random Mob Psycho 100 characters because I want to. And it’s making me feel better.
Shigeo
Honestly this is the easiest because @sodasexual's au with spirit Shiego is so ingrained in my head I can't see him much other way. My version is usually smaller than her's but very similar concept. Don't take my word for it, check it out a commission she got for the concept!

I think in my head he has he kinda purple space look though vs the lighter colors. I just love deep purples .....a lot. And the ???% hair!

Teru isn't right here his hair should be more feather like but it came out more like an axolotl (which isn't correct). I want to redo the below they were very rough ideas thrown onto a page
And the above of course leads me into: ✨Teru✨
My beautiful boy Teru! I just see you as a feathered masterpiece! He looks annoyed in the sketch above because this is from a fic idea I have. Where teru gets kicked out of his body (maybe a curse maybe a spirit, I dunno, something happens).
But yes, I mean, of course Teru would be a stunning feathered being! He is after all....Teru! Above was me playing around with that in a chibi sorta-form of a spirit. His feathers kinda look like gills (oops) but I think he would always have feathers of some kind around him. I may add more in future. This is just my first run at it.
But yeah something kinda seraphim-like and trippy. Feathers coming from his head, down his back. Depending on how much power he has, he would have more or less feathers. I like the idea of the tips of the features dripping in gold or fire.
A very NOT final, more a stream of ideas doodle than anything, pleasedon'tcomeafterme I'm just having fun I know it looks nothing like him.
He may have a human-esc face or something sharper I really dunno. These are just thoughts. I have nothing that concrete yet.
Another playing around with the idea.
Ritsu
I think he would be very similar to Shigeo actually, but his color scheme would be different. More oceanic greens and blues and his body would be shimmering like scales underwater. I don't have any doodles of this I just thought of it today. Like this color scheme
I think his spirit would look more aquatic-like than Shigeo's (I think Shigeo has some almost amphibian qualities, per the slight inspiration of the axolotl from the anime) while Ritsu is more like...deep water fish. Maybe. Again they are all just shapes and these are all just thoughts.
These last two are more off-the-cuff as I have not thought about them as deeply as the above.
Serizawa
I think Serizawa's spirit will be large and warm. A big round, fuzy......something. He may have a shape, and if it looks like anything it would be closest to a bear. He also would loose the fluff and get spikey if he gets upset I think.
No reference photo just....yeah a big bear. Sure. I like it.
Shou
Similar to Serizawa no specific animal shape but I see some chameleon aspects to him, like ever changing colors. He is kinda a flowy-fire-like spirit, where his form wouldn't be consistent and maybe a little see-through (like flames) But it would change colors from blue to greens to reds.
That's all my brain's got. I think I'll draw more Teru spirit, maybe I'll try drawing spirit Shigeo more.

my next upcoming fic project is very self indulgent reigen and teru found family that i’ve been writing notes for since november. i can’t guarantee when it’ll be finished or if it’ll even be finished at all (i have to work on kel became after all) but i just want to share some of my favorite notes from that i’ve written so far… mostly the ones i think are funny.
notes for Sometimes What’s Best is an Added Expense (a Child) to Your Bank Account:
- serirei wedding probably,, teru wants them to get married anyways
- serirei would get together before terumob cause they silly like that
- serirei fake wedding cause of an exorcism job and teru is super excited (plot twist the clients were lying and just wanted proof that they were going to a wedding as an excuse not to go to another event plot twist 2 the ghost shows up after the clients admit it cause they hate when people go through loveless fake weddings for monetary gain) serirei confesses to make it go away
- reigen paints his nails with teru once cause son insists,, mob notices and reigen suggests that he should ask teru to do his. reigen high fives wawa after. he really thinks he’s the best wingman
- dad moment
- teru is a bit wary of wawa at first but they warm up to each other
- mob thinks they’re dating for a bit and teru is completely oblivious miscommunication hahahahahahahaha
- the miscommunication stems from a time shige and teru are having a sleepover and teru admits that he loves him when he thinks mob is asleep. he wasn’t. mob thinks for that as a queue that they’re dating now.
- shou shows up through ritzus window
- shou also crashes at serizawas when bored (which eventually becomes crashing at the reigen household and hanging out with teru)
- terizzki hanazawa reigen <<<<— arataka calls his son this when he tried to flirt with mob teru nearly explodes
- Reigen’s parents would go to a pride parade for their grandson (they still suck tho)
- sickfic serirei chapter except serizawa burns the soup cause he can’t cook and teruki has to come help him. teru and wawa bonding time while they cook together
- serizawa gets a part time job and teru finds him there,, he gets annoyed when he finds out seri doesn’t get paid minimum wage by rei
- teru takes mob to marshals (cause he shops there)
- teru “head over heels for mob” hanazawa
- terus new haircut‼️‼️ i lob his haircut and reigen makes fun of it all the time.
- reigen likes to cook but is too lazy (canon) he starts cooking for teru

Mp100 headcanons
- Mob has a really pretty and smoothing singing voice.
- Mob and Emi still talk to eachother and Emi often shows him her works. He really loves her stories and is very supportive of her.
- The older body improvement club members who go to highschool always come back for the marathon to cheer the new club members every year.
- Older Teru has a new haircut every week. It's always something weird but it suits him.
- Ritsu and Shou like to hang out at night and go to grocery stores to buy ice cream. Sometimes they go to Sakurai and Koyama's store just to annoy them.
- Serizawa likes to paint with Shou, sometimes Shou shows up to spirits and such with pencils and a huge smile and Serizawa invites him inside and they paint for hours.
- The whole crew keep in touch and organize birthday parties every year, Reigen always ends up crying.
- When the main cast dies, Dimple becomes a guardian spirit for espers, he helps a lot of them all around the world and soon he's known and liked by tons of people. He feels like he's finally himself, not by being a god, but by being a good guy who helps people.

They were at a stand still.
Shou standing with the sand between his toes and the sun blistering against his back. Ritsu sitting in his shadow with massive sunglasses on that would've probably made him look dumb if Shou didn't find him beautiful with his skin tinged red from the heat and that slight pout aimed at him.
But, the fact that he looked so cute with his knees pulled to his chest and what was probably a glare leveled at Shou from behind tinted lenses was all irrelevant.
Shou was firm when he spoke, again. "Come swim with me."
Ritsu's voice was just the same: "no."
Shou crossed his arms. They were stuck, now. Once, Shou would've just picked him up and carried him to the ocean. In fact he was considering it.
But Ritsu kept glancing away.
Shou knew Ritsu was weak for him.
He tried not to grin, bending at the waist so they were face to face. "Swim with me." Ritsu faltered, for a second. Shou could feel it in his aura, in Ritsu's own esper-made waves that roils off him and drags Shou in. But he met Shou's gaze, wrinkled his nose. "My binder will get wet," he huffed, pulling at the collar of his tank top. "They shouldn't get wet."
"You're wearing a swimming binder, aren't you?" He drawled out, grinning at how Ritsu looked at him. He faltered, again, looking around at something or nothing or Shou.
"It… I still shouldn't."
"C'mon, Riichan," Shou whined low, leaning forward and gently plucking the sunglasses off of Ritu's face. He blinked owlishly at him, eyes following how Shou combed fingers through his hair before leaning back. "Come swimming with me."
He didn't say it right away: "...no."
"But you didn't invite me to the last swimming trip."
It was visible, the way that statement hit Ritsu, biting his lips. Shou almost felt bad. Really, he didn't care. Although it was annoying hearing Teruki go on and on about their swimming trip last week, it was more because of how Teru wouldn't stop lamenting about his own one-sided boyfriend. He was busy that day, anyways. He didn't care he wasn't invited.
But Ritsu did. And Shou wanted Ritsu in the water with him.
"..okay." Ritsu huffed, stood up, and Shou couldn't help but pump his fist into the air and holler aloud at getting his way. "Fine, only for a bit. I don't like swimming, my binder gets annoying."
Shou only half listened to him as he dragged Ritsu back to the water, holding both his hands softly. "Hey," he grinned, glancing back over his shoulder every once in a while to keep from tripping over some kids dodgy sand castle. "I'm the captain, I decide how long we stay in the water."
The ocean, lapping up at the dampened sand, was brisk against his heels. He didn't stop moving, even as Ritsu winced at the sudden chill at his feet. In fact, he laughed aloud, making sure Ritsu heard him loud and clear.
"You're a jerk," Ritsu said with no bite, voice fond and eyes soft in a way that had Shou biting down hard on his tongue to keep from saying something stupid.
The water was nearly up to his chin. He gasped at a wave swelling up and shoving at him from behind, his hair suddenly soaked. He left go of Ritsu's hands, turning around to stare out at the ocean, eyes on the next wave that threatened his hair style.
"... hey, Shou?" He turned at Ritsu's voice, seeing a look in his eyes that made him freeze.
Hands were cold on his shoulders and he only had a chance to gasp in a breath before he was pushed under.
Ritsu laughed from above the surface. Shou lunged out, grabbing one wrist tight, the other hand held up. Hos power swelled, built up, grasped and molded the water behind Ritsu.
He pulled Ritsu suddenly, building up a massive wave that yanked Ritsu under with him. They surged deeper, farther into the ocean. Until even Ritsu couldn't touch the sand.
Ritsu fought back, grabbing his waist. Shou twisting and pulling and pushing him under, Ritsu doing just the same, both breaching the water every few seconds to gasp in air or exhale massive laughter from their lungs.
An elbow hard to Shou's gut had them both suddenly stopped.
Ritsu pulled him up as he sucked in water, lungs burning from both being winded and the salt water that surged through his teeth. Ritsu’s hands on his back, on his skin, on him are warm and steadying. His voice, the loud and echoed and constant frantic ‘sorry’s’ and ‘ohmygod’ would make him laugh, if he wasn’t struggling to breath.
“Wh-” Shou wheezes, suddenly words in his throat before they could be stopped. “You didn’t invite me last time.” Ritsu’s looking at him like it’s the last thing he expected to hear again. Shou feels the same.
Maybe it did bother him. Maybe he’d been lying before. Maybe he enjoyed being with Ritsu, maybe he loved him so much he wanted to spend every second of every day by his side. Maybe he was paranoid that he was too much, that Ritsu felt the opposite of what he felt.
“I…” Ritsu gulps, letting go of Shou. He hadn’t realized they’d moved to shallower waters until his feet were just touching the sand. “I didn’t… think you’d want to.”
He’s so genuine. So sorry. His eyes are soft, eyebrows pinched, lips a thin line. Shou finds himself laughing, gentle and low. Ritsu’s eyes are on him.
Shou’s smile is bright, blinding, even overwhelming despite the soft tilt of his lips. “Dude, really?” He snorts. Even that sounds lovely, to Ritsu. “Don’t ya know, I’d do anything as long as you’re there, Ritsu.”
Ritsu’s breath is knocked out of his lungs, his heart surging. Shou doesn’t stand a chance, toppling easily under Ritsu’s weight as he lunges forward, pulling Shou down into the shallows. Ritsu is warm, his mouth against his the only heat he feels in the cold water.

I have SO many Serirei family headcanons you have no idea!!! Okie okie:
Reigen and Serizawa always have their doors open for the kids both figuratively and literally so like the door opens and Ristu and Mob comes in and Serizawa just puts more plates on the table
Every Friday they host a little game or movie night where any of the kids are welcomed but dont have to come. Events range from Karaoke to Mario Kart
Serizawa loves to cook and tries out a new recipe each month to present to the family. They are usually good but there are rare moments where a dish isn't that good
Serizawa is great with kids and you can catch him in the yard playing esper tag with the kids or other games. He even floats Tome around to participate as well
Reigen although he's pretty lenient with the kids in his care (Tome, Teru, and Shou) he's also strict and makes sure they do chores usually they alternate with Tome doing the dishes one day and doing laundry the next
When Reigen and Serizawa first started taking care of the kids they privately consulted Mr. And Mrs. Kageyama for parenting advice
Shou and Reigen accidently started a tradition of leaving sticky notes around the house. They dont usually say important stuff its usually just dumb draws or doodles or funny things
The clothes in the house belgon to EVERY ONE Serizawa will steal Reigen's pajamas, Teru will steal Tome's shorts. Its a system they all dont mind but there are clothes that are off limit
The order of who takes the longest getting Ready in the morning: Shou, Teru, Reigen, Serizawa and Tome. Tome at the best brushes her hair before going out while Shou spends an hour with his hair gel. Reigen spends a good amount of time on his appearance but does a quick job about it

My Notes: Just a nice cute fic about Reigen looking out for and helping take care of Teru after finding out that he lives on his own. It’s cute and very sweet how Reigen takes a kind of backwards approach to helping out Teru, since Teru is way too stubborn to allow himself to be completely cared for by someone else. I really love Reigen and Teru’s dynamic in this fic so far and I’m excited to see more!

My Notes: One of my all-time favorite ritshou fics, I go back and reread it all the time! I’m such a sucker for mermaid fics and this one is super beautifully written. It’s poetic and flows so so well, it wraps you in from the very beginning with its gorgeous prose and mysterious story. It’s definitely been an inspiration to me in pursuing a more descriptive and flowery writing style for certain fics. The budding friendship between Shou and Ritsu is endearing and believable and very in character, and the little mermaid inspiration brings a familiarity to the story as well that makes it easy to follow and understand what’s going on behind the scenes. I absolutely adore how the author writes Ritsu’s point of view, it’s just a really really solid and fun fic that I’ll continue to go back to after this.

I absolutely love the way the author writes these two as friends who know and understand each other, and how that leads into an eventual romance. It has some really heart-stoppingly scary dramatic moments, too, for being such a character-centered story, which took me pleasantly by surprise. I really look forward to what the author has planned for the future of this fic!

My Notes: This fic really took me by surprise, since I had never played Yomawari and knew nothing about it before reading this. It’s dark and relatively scary as far as my usual taste in fics go, but it’s written really well. The author is really good at displaying the hopeless aura of the situation without making it seem like all is lost, and the atmosphere and constantly moving story make it really easy to get lost in this dark alternate reality. It’s not really a happy fic, though, and the ending is rather bittersweet, so be aware if you decide to read this one.
The Accelerated Velocity of Terminological Inexactitude

My Notes: Teru has a big ol crush on Mob and takes advantage of his crush on Tsubomi to become his fake boyfriend for a time, except it really does more harm to himself than to anyone else. The fake dating AU we all know and love, now with added mogami arc angst (just a little) and the slow realization that their fake relationship might have more truth behind it than either of them are intending. It’s a super sweet fic and a relatively quick read if you’re looking for something with meat that isn’t 100k words long. It brought quite a few smiles to my face and a couple of excited squeals as well.
Grow as we Go

My Notes: This fic is so so good and sweet, it focuses on Teru coming into his own and figuring out how to be a good person post-canon. It’s so endearing seeing him interacting with the whole Kageyama family, especially Shigeo, who he’s dating in secret, and his parents, who treat him like their own son and it’s great. It’s so nice to see Teru’s struggle to remind himself that he can change and become better from inside his own head, since in canon we only get brief mentions of what that must be like. It’s also super soft, just very very soft, and it makes me feel nice every time I go back to refresh myself on it.

He won’t admit the exact reason why, but Ritsu deduced it was probably to mess with him. Normally he’d be annoyed, but today? Ritsu is grateful for the interruption. (Basically a ritshou fic where they're dating but not really dating and Ritsu gets an epiphany)
My Notes: This is a super sweet, super cute one-shot about how Ritsu and Shou act like they’re a couple long before they actually start dating and I love it. Shou showing up at Ritsu’s school and house out of the blue is one of my favorite fanon interpretations of him and it’s played out really well in this fic. I also love the idea of the two of them just being unabashedly affectionate when it’s just the two of them, they have such a cute relationship in this interpretation!

My Notes: This might be my favorite mob psycho fic like.. ever. I remember staying up into the early hours of the morning to read it all in one sitting because I just had to know what happened next. It’s beautifully written and leaves you on the edge of your seat wondering what might happen next, and the fantasy/cinderella vibes are so so fun to read. This art also comes with the amazing added bonus of having beautiful chapter cover art and even some mini comics slotted into the fic itself, which is such a treat to come across every single time. I highly recommend this fic to anyone who likes ritshou and terumob even a little, it’s so well-written and the characterization, specifically for Ritsu and Shigeo, is really solid.

Ritsu makes a pro vs con list of what it’s like to have Shou as a classmate (and to have a friend in his class who he actually likes). It’s a really sweet, nice, fluffy fic and I love the way the author writes Ritsu and Shou’s friendship and how they support each other, I just really love all of the author’s ritshou fics actually. This one was particularly nice to read though, their interpretation of Ritsu and Shou’s relationship is really nice to read and comes across very natural and close.

It’s short and tame and is such a fun and interesting take on ???%’s relationship with Ritsu, how he still recognizes Ritsu as his brother and has that sort of instinctual caring attitude toward him. It’s surprisingly wholesome and comes across almost like a crack fic but it just leaves you feeling warm and happy in the end. Ritsu’s initial fear of ???% and his slow realization that he’s not going to get hurt this time is so nice to read and very cathartic overall. I really love this idea and the author executes on it really really well!

superhero au thoughts
reigen is trying to make it big as a world class hero and mob is his sidekick
teru is a villain terrorising seasoning city by grave misuse of his powers
examples include: snowstorms to cancel classes because he's not confident he's gonna get an A on the upcoming quiz
earthquake in the neighboring city so his favourite heavy metal band would skip that venue and get to seasoning city early
makeup store robbing sprees because he maxed out his credit card for the month
among other shenanigans
reigen is eventually sent to deal with him but his special lecturing kids move is -9999 effective so he deploys mob
teruki arc proceeds as canon
If this is an aged up au:
mob faces the same dilemma as saitama does and seriously reconsiders his career path
he and teru are the rivals
mob decides he wants to be a vet and quits his hero job
the world is shaken but not as much as teruki who suddenly has no purpose in life anymore
he tries to continue being a villain but the other heroes don't give him the same thrill also he's not in love with them so that sucks
teru and mob cross paths not as their hero/villain alters but teru recognizes him and goes feral
you left me you son of a bitch!!!!!!
after mob yeets him into the sky they have a heart to heart talk about what they really want in life
mob straight up tells him it's not healthy to be too dependent on a person
teru's like oh. then mob wishes him luck

he romanticises catching the next train, paying the bills and doing groceries so much he sells his mansion and his headquarters and rents a cheap apartment
and gasp mob is his roommate!!!! life could not be better and he and mob do normal people things together like sleeping through the alarm and doing laundry and eating cheap food
he doesn't immediately realize that mob is actually poor and not doing this for the aesthetic
mob is surprised that teru's here and he's a bit weirded out by how happy teru is whenever they're threatened to get kicked out for paying the rent late among other misfortunes
ritshou time:
ritsu always wanted to be a superhero like his brother
his views on heroes are warped because he determines their value based on their powers and not by their morals
he's still afraid of his brothers powers because of how they tend to escape him
the ???% incident still took place
when he awakened his powers he decided to become a villain but infringed on teru's territory who knocked him out with a handshake
claw arc proceeds as is so ritsu is okay now and wants to be his brothers sidekick
he is pissed that reigen calls mob his sidekick and would've challenged him long ago if not for his brother
shou is part of a villain org but he thinks his dad is a super lame villain so he's still gunna betray him
he really really really wants ritsu to be his rival so he messes with him a lot
he uses his invisibility powers to sneak into ritsu's classroom, stand behind his seat then call the teacher names so he would get in trouble
then he'd leave a note in ritsu's locker, something like
had enough? think you can handle more?
shou spreads a rumour that ritsu likes this girl and now everyone thinks ritsu has a girlfriend
ritsu doesn't care enough to address it and now shou feels weird
that plan backfired on him big time
next he ties mob's shoelaces together while he's jogging with the body improvement club
ritsu finally snaps, engages in battle and gets his ass kicked
shou is hyped because he thinks ritsu will seek his revenge
ritsu doesn't
shou posts on the villain forums for advice
there's this super cool hero i want him to be my rival but he won't notice me here's a list of the things I've done what more should i do?
teru replies (he's popular on these forums) god SAME these heroes are so annoying ashkdldofif why won't they hate us back
and serizawa comments there like
speaking as an ex-hero, generally we're not really into making rivals, we're just trying to stop crime, at least that's my take on it

but he says ok because he's not actually a child like his dad is
personally shou thinks the government should still be overthrown and be replaced by, maybe reigen, mob was the best option but he hasn't even graduated high school yet so that could be a bit of a problem
but anyone's better than his dad so for now he leaves the government uprising alone
serizawa time:
he was fed anti-hero propaganda by touichirou
there were some actual good points there like how the top heroes did things for money and reputation now and how they viewed people as a means to an end instead of actual humans
and threats that his powers would only be abused by the government
but if he joined touichirou he wouldn't be controlled
