Hii!! I’m not sure if requests are still open but if they are... How about the Bucci gang with a reader who has problems with self harm? It’s a rather serious topic tho so I completely understand if you don’t want to

GIORNO:

-Giorno almost immediately figured out there was something wrong with you. The way you constantly hid your wrists and acted like it was nothing made him extremely suspicious. However, he hesitated to tell you about it for a while, he wanted you to open up to him naturally without having to force you.

-But it was something that he could no longer keep on ignoring after almost 5 months. He had to talk to you.

-He calmly told you that he had something very serious that he wanted to discuss with you. You could already tell where this was going and tried to oppose, but once he puts his mind on something you can be sure that he isn't going to take "no" as an answer.

-"I'm sorry, Y/N, but I really want to talk to you about this, forgive me if I insist. Would you mind showing me your arms? And without the jacket, please."

-You just stared at him without saying a word.

-"Y/N...you know that I don't like repeating myself, so please do what I said"

-reluctantly you took your jacket off, as Giorno took a close look at the scars on both of your arms

-He looked at you in the eyes and immediately told you that this was not ok, and despite how much you didn't want to admit it, you knew he was right

-He started asking you lots of questions in order to understand better what caused you to harm yourself in this way, while you hated to talk about this, the calmness in his voice helped you opening up to him

-However, Giorno's method to actually handle the problem may seem a bit too...cynical. Being the leader of Passione, he made sure to contact the most qualified and well known therapist in the entire country, since he knows that self harm is a serious issue that requires medical treatment

-On the other hand, emotional support is also extremely important, which is something that a person like Giorno has a bit of trouble to realize

-You appreciate what he's doing and decides to see the therapist he has recommended, but you also try to make him understand that it isn't as simple as breaking a leg and going to the hospital

-He immediately apologizes for his "coldness" and always makes sure to check up on you even more than before. The "feeling side" of the relationship is something that he still struggles with at times, but you are more than happy to help him just like he's helping you getting better with this problem

BUCCIARATI:

-Bucciarati is probably the best one at handling the situation in the entire team.

-He noticed that something was wrong even before than Giorno, but unlike him, he didn't hesitate to tell you about it

-While you didn't expect him to bring it up in such a sudden way, a part of you was secretly glad that Bruno was able to see this through. You knew he was a kind and thoughtful person, and he would have done anything to help you

-"Y/N...I don't know why you'd hurt yourself this way, I'm not even going to ask you about it. Just know...I'll always be there for you, and I won't be satisfied until you heal from this"

-His first thought was to hide anything sharp inside the house, even though he believes you want to get better, he still doesn't want to take any risk

-He'd be too scared to leave you alone for a while, so you'll have to bear with him insisting on bringing you everywhere he goes

-Of course, he'd make sure to look for the best therapist he can find, if you're not comfortable with the one he suggested, he won't blink an eye and start looking for another one the minute after

MISTA:

-Mista takes quite longer compared to Bruno and Giorno to realize what's going on. He always thought it was kind of weird how you constantly wore shirts or dresses with long sleeves, but considering his own fashion style, he couldn't really say anything about it

-However, after around half an year, he started to grow more and more suspicious of your behavior, especially since who would ever wear long sleeves in the middle of Summer?

-While Mista probably knows what self harm is, he has never taken any interest in the subject, so he doesn't know how to react when he realizes what's going on

-Still, he deeply cares about you, and wants to help you in any way he can. He tried to get you to show him your wrists in a very relaxed way; if there was no tension, maybe opening up to him wouldn't have been as bad

-"Come on Y/N, you know that I love you, I'm just asking you to show me your arms. It can't be that bad, right?"

-You really didn't want to, and despite how much you loved Mista, you weren't exactly sure he was the best option to help you in this situation. Regardless, you decided to give him a chance, he was still your boyfriend, after all

-He was really freaked out when he saw your scars, but he knew that he couldn't ask you what to do to make you feel better, and that he had to look for a solution on his own.

-He considered asking the gang for help, but it was something way too private for him to tell them about it.

-The only idea that came into his mind was to talk to a therapist, which turned out to actually be good. He convinced you to take an appointment and the man would always give Mista some advices on how to make you feel better when you're not there.

NARANCIA

-Narancia...is most definitely not the best option in this situation. He's incredibly sweet and lovable, and would give his own life to make you feel better. The problem is that... Narancia doesn't even know what self harm means.

-He always tells the gang about what a cool girlfriend he's got, that you're never hot and even in the middle of Summer you still wear long sleeves. They hoped that, eventually, he would have figured out on his own what was going on, but after an entire year, they decided to tell him about it.

-Narancia didn't believe them at first and thought they were just trying to mess with him. The situation would have seriously gotten out of hand if Bucciarati wasn't there to stop him

-He refused to believe to what they were saying, but he wanted to ask you about it anyway, just to make sure that he was right and the other were a bunch of "dumb overthinkers"

-The easiest way would have been to tell Narancia that nothing was wrong, and that would have been the end of the discussion. But...you didn't want to, you wanted to get better, even though he didn't know anything about the subject, Narancia would have done anything to help you

-"Y/N...I-I know I'm not the smartest, but why didn't you tell me sooner? I...I want to be there for you, I don't know how but...e-everything will be fine, alright?"

-He immediately asks the gang for help, he doesn't want to take any risk and rely on someone that is more knowledgeable than you is definitely the safer option in this case

-He helps you find a therapist, of course, but he has some trouble understanding that he can't be there during the appointment, he just wants to be there 100% of the times

-He's great when it comes to emotional support though, he will constantly try to cheer you up and "Make all the bad thoughts go away"

-Please appreciate what this poor baby is doing, he's just trying his best

FUGO

-Fugo probably considered harming himself in the past, friendly reminder that he was about to kill his father with a dagger, are we sure that's all that he used that knife for?

-With that being said, he never actually went through with it, since he was too scared of how his parents would have reacted if they found out

-Because of this, Fugo notices that something is not right almost immediately, but he's too scared to tell you about it. He knows that this is an extremely sensitive subject, and he thinks that you're going to leave him if he brings that up

-However, eventually, he finds the courage to confront you, since knowing about the issue and doing absolutely nothing was slowly killing him inside

-"Y/N, please try to understand, this...is not good for you. I know that talking about it hurts...a lot, but it will never stop hurting if you don't face it!"

-He knows quite a lot about it, and encourages you to seek for professional assistance as soon as possible. Obviously, he helps you find a good therapist, and similar to Narancia, he's very annoyed that he can't participate to the sessions

-While he knows that emotional support is extremely important, Fugo isn't exactly the best when it comes to comforting somebody

-Of course, he'll do anything he can to avoid lashing out on you, but he's constantly worried that he isn't doing enough to help you.

-But you trust him, and you're sure that with a person like him by your side, you're going to get better

ABBACCHIO

-How do I say this...I think that Abbacchio doesn't simply know a lot about self harm, he has experienced it. He doesn't do it anymore, of course, but during that period of his life before Bruno welcomed him into the gang, Abbacchio reached a point where he would hurt himself on purpose on a daily basis.

-Because of this, he can immediately tell that something is seriously wrong, and he doesn't think twice about telling you about it

-However, while he understands how much it hurts, he still has serious problems confronting the issue in an healthy manner, so the way he told you wasn't exactly...very reassuring

-"Y/N, what the hell? Do you have ANY IDEA of how bad this is for you? What were you planning on doing? Cutting you *beep* arm until you run out of blood? Don't you give a **** about how much this would hurt the ones around you?"

-His words hurt more than the blade that passed through you veins more than once every day by now. You started crying and sobbing out loud, not knowing how to answer

-"Oh God...Y-Y/N, I'm...I'm sorry. I know how is it like...I know it t-too well. I just... I just w-want to help you"

-An entire hour later, he was able to calm you down, explaining to you his experience with self harm. Partially, you were mad at him for not talking about it sooner, but in a certain way, it reassured you, because he could perfectly understand what you were going through

-However, since he simply...stopped doing it after he met Bruno, he doesn't immediately understand what he's supposed to do to help you

-He's not dumb though, and after thinking about it for half an hour, he decides that the first step would be to find a good therapist. He feels...kind of uncomfortable accompanying you to the sessions, since the doctor accidentally thought he was the patient the first time you came to his studio

-When it comes to comforting you, as you already saw, his words may still be a bit... hostile, but you don't care. You know those words aren't filled with bitterness, that's just his way to show that he's genuinely worried for you

TRISH

-Trish, similar to Mista, knows what self harm is, but her knowledge about the issue is probably just the standard definition you would find in a dictionary

-She actually found about about the issue sooner than most members of the gang. How? It was a total coincidence, considering that she hadn't grown suspicious, not even in the slightest, that something could have been wrong

-One day, she convinced you to go shopping with her; you tried to decline, but eventually, you figured out that you could have stopped her from seeing your scars if you only put on long sleeved clothes

-It seemed like your plan almost succeeded, but as you were in the middle of putting on your regular clothes, Trish walked inside your changing room

-"Hey dear, what do you think of- Y/N, w-what are those things on your wrists? But...a-an enemy hurt you that way, r-right? You wouldn't harm yourself like that...RIGHT?!"

-You didn't say anything, you just looked down, feeling ashamed of yourself

-Since she couldn't get an answer out of you there, Trish immediately brought you back home, hoping that you would have felt more comfortable talking about it in a private place

-Slowly, you started explaining to her the whole situation. She didn't interrupt you a single time, but it was obvious from her expression that she wanted to ask you a lot of things. You could almost see her eyes getting wet

-She hugged you tight and told you that everything would have been ok. While she was clearly hurt to have found out about it in such way, she was willing to help you in any possible way

-After getting more informed about the subject, the two of you looked for a therapist together. She wanted to make absolute sure that you felt included in this choice too

-She took a break from her job as a pop star to remain by your side until you feel at least a bit better. You didn't want her to renounce to something so important for you, but when she told you about it she already made her mind, and she wasn't going to change it

-When she can't absolutely be there, she leaves you with Spice girl so that you don't feel completely alone

Hi, sweetie! This is a very peculiar request, and I really, really like it! I guess I’ve made Steve a little softer than I expected, but here he is. Hope you’re going to enjoy this!

Pacing up and down nervously like a caged tiger, Steve threw a glance at the clock on the kitchen wall, ready to take out his cellphone and give you a call. It was just 10 pm, but he felt something wasn't going quite right. Was everything ok at that party? Were you enjoying yourself? Did you finally confess to that silly guy Steve didn't like at all? What if he had already got you, Steve's precious little daughter, into bed?

Breathing in deeply, the man tried calming himself down. You were an adult. At one point you would start dating people, and it was perfectly alright, Sam reminded him the other day. You weren't some princess locked in a tower with Steve guarding you like an angry dragon. You had the right to love and be loved, create your own family, for God's sake. When he thought of you leaving him Steve was ready to break that kitchen wall.

No, no, no, it was alright. You loved him with all your heart, and no stupid guy could take it away from Steve. He was your father. Adoptive father, of course, but he did everything he could to make you trust and love him as much as you true family. You were calling him dad, after all. And even if you eventually married someone, Steve would always stay close to help and support you - and your kids, if you ever decide to have any. At the thought of him kissing the cheeks of his cute little grandchildren Steve had finally relaxed.

Oh, was it the sound of the front door opening? As much as he wanted to rush to meet you, the man quickly put on his apron he ironed this morning and turned to the heated stove to put a meat pie in it. Alright, alright, you were already home, it was perfect.

But why so early? Steve was really generous this time and gave you till 1 am - of course, if you took a taxi, not go walking the streets in the night. Did something go wrong? Did the guy reject you? Did he take advantage of you? Did he... do something he shouldn't have?

Steve felt his blood boiling. In a second he was ready to storm out of the kitchen to beat the shit out of that bastard who was stupid enough to hurt his child.

"Hi dad! I'm home!"

As you walked in, carrying your beaded clutch in your arms and yawning tiredly, Steve put a smile on his face momentarily, assessing whether you were hurt within a couple of seconds. No, apparently, you were alright: you moved just like before; your hair wasn't ruffled, and your makeup wasn't smeared eather. He had overreacted again.

"Welcome back, sweet pea." Steve moved closer to you, giving you a tight hug and a kiss on the forehead as you giggled softly, throwing your arms around his broad back. "How did it go?"

As your face turned gloomy for a fleeting second, he knew his sixth sense wasn't lying to him: something didn't go well.

"Nah." You brushed it off as you sat on the chair, carelessly leaving your clutch on the table and stretching your legs with a loud sigh.

"What is it, sweetie?"

Furrowing his brows, Steve sat across from you, his hands folded as he stared at you with worry. Shit, did this guy try doing something funny? Did he offend you? Oh, Steve was going to have a nice talk with him, a moron who thought he could do this to his little girl and it would never come back at him. Should he call Natasha? Maybe Bucky? He knew they were still in town. No, no, he would take this matter in his own hands and go have a nice talk with that stupid ungrateful ba-

"It's alright, I swear." You muttered and forced a smile, drawing his attention back to you. "He just... well, just didn't return my feelings."

"Did he reject you?"

For a second Steve felt both relieved and ready to go murder that kid in a cold blood. Rejected you? The prettiest and smartest girl in the town with a heart of gold? Who did that little shit think he was, rejecting Steve's precious daughter?

But it was better than him forcing you to do something you didn't want. At least that asshole didn't do anything inappropriate to you, probably too scared to face your angry dad who could crack his skull with one hand.

"Not like reject in the full sense of the word, but... um, I feel like he was a little scared of me." Your smile turned bitter, and you leaned onto Steve, pressing your forehead into his chest as you exhaled loudly.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time it happened. Everybody around knew you were the daughter of retired Captain America, and people were treating you with such caution as if you were some time bomb, clearly unwilling to make the world's first Avenger angry. Partly, it was a good thing since no one tried messing with you. However, you were also left pretty much alone, ignored by the majority for the sake of their own well-being. Although you had found several friends, dating someone was a completely different thing: guys were running away from before you even spoke to them.

"I'm so sorry." The man said quietly, rubbing your back and gently caressing your head with his other hand. "This is my fault."

You sighed, lifting your head and looking at Steve so tenderly he suddenly felt like he was the happiest man in the world. What, weren't you upset?

"Come on, dad." His heart sped up when you called him that, and he was ready to lift you up in the air, kissing his little girl's nose. "I thought he's different, but he's just a chicken like all other guys. I'll get over him soon."

"Hard to live up to our standards, I guess." Steve smiled and pinched your nose a little, making you laugh again. "But you need to know I am really sorry, sweat pea. I swear I wouldn't stand in your way if you decided he was the right guy for you."

Actually, Steve pretty much would, but you wouldn't know about it. Happiness of his only child was the only thing that mattered to him now: what was the point of being a parent if you couldn't make your kid happy?

"It's okay, really, dad. I wouldn't change the things as they are now. When I think what could happen if you didn't see me on the street that night... uh-huh." You didn't finish the sentence, not that you needed to.

If Steve didn't find you that night desperately searching for food on the streets of New York, you'd probably be dead now.

You were born to a good family, and you spent the first 11 years of your life in a nice place, having loving parents, the roof above your head and food on the table. You were just one more happy kid among thousands of others, neither better nor worse than all of them. It all changed when your parents were killed by two robbers who had broken into your house, and soon you ended up in an orphanage - you still had nightmares about this place. You spent a year there before you escaped, choosing the streets over an orphanage. Silly you, thinking it would be better.

When Steve found you, you were 13. Dirty, always hungry, acting like a little wild animal, you were no more pitiful than any other homeless child, ignored by the majority of people, but Steve saw you. He took you with him - forcefully, of course, because you fought him like a little angry cat, frightened to the core he was going to take advantage of you like all those people pretending to help you. But he didn’t. He was the one who had truly cared.

It took him months to get you accustomed to living in a house again with someone close to you. Steve spent even more time trying to make you trust him, make you believe he was your friend, somebody you could rely on, trust, see as a parental figure. You couldn’t even name all those people he hired to help you: countless psychologists and psychiatrists; doctors and nurses of all kinds; visiting teachers and tutors. Despite liking to live alone, Steve brought so many strangers to his house it felt like living in a royal palace with tons of court attendants. All of this was for you, the only person he cared about, his little child.

When you were 15, you started calling him dad, and that was the day neither Steve nor you would ever forget: he scooped you up and kept swinging you around till your head was spinning while he laughed and shouted how much he loved you, the best daughter he could ever had.

You never knew the extent to which Steve cared about you, following you secretly when you finally agreed to leave the house - he needed to know you were safe and sound. Of course, he was always there when he supposed someone wasn’t treating you right, and he did everything he could to keep his only child happy. Unfortunately, you were lonely until Steve found a couple of good friends for you, but it was alright. You were perfectly okay now.

“I love you too, sweet pea.” He smiled, caressing your head gently. “But you know what? Don’t worry about that guy. I actually have someone who I want you to meet, and he’s a really sweet kid.”

“Whoa, what? What kid?”

“Well, you know. Kid from work.”

“Dad, what work? What kid?” You rolled your eyes at him, giggling. “How old is he, at least?”

“A little older than you, but he’s alright. He’s been wanting to meet you for some time.” But before Steve wasn’t sure kid was the right guy for you, considering that he was still very much an Avenger and was involved in all kinds of dangerous situations.

“Dad, what kid? Are you talking about your superhero colleagues or something?”

“... yeah? I promise, you’ll like him. Peter’s a good kid.”

“Peter? Peter goddamn Parker?!” You exclaimed loudly, realizing he was talking about Spider-Man. “Are you joking?!”

“What did I tell you about swearing, sweetheart?” Furrowing his brows, Steve shook his head in disapproval, but laughed in the very next second, watching your guilty expression. “Alright, alright. I’m not joking. If you’d like to meet him, I’ll ask him to come tomorrow for dinner, ok?”

“Yes, please!”

As he took the pie out of the oven with you waiting at the dinner table, Steve thought about giving the kid a big lecture about what he was and wasn’t supposed to do to you, but he was more or less sure Peter knew what was right and wrong. Steve could spot that familiar glint in kid’s eyes when he was looking at your photo that Steve had been showing him proudly.

It would turn out alright. Your father was ready to do anything it takes to make you happy.

Hello wonderful person 💚💚

2. How did you get to know MDZS?

I kept seeing the manhua around when it had just a few first chapters posted on some site where I read BL mangas. I finally got curious enough to give it a try, didn’t understand many things with so much going on, new characters constantly popping out, and because it was literally my first xianxia danmei so I was not familiar with many concepts and literally spat my spit when they shouted “mount your swords!” and hopped on their weapons, I freaking lost it then. But I was there for the romance initially so I didn’t mind my confusion and just wanted to see the progress of the main pair’s relationship and what dynamic to expect. The manhua chapters back then ended right after wwx summoned wen ning for the first time and was taken to gusu by lwj, who very obviously realised who he was and was fiercely protective and much fond. The last translated chapter was wwx being subdued by unfazed lwj and falling asleep on top of him after teasing him too much. Aaand well by that point I was already hooked completely.

I was desperate to see more, so I googled if there were more chapters somewhere, saw that it’s based on the novel and jumped right to reading it. It was still being translated tho so I spent prolly half a year of desperate yearning and checking for updates from exiledrebels each week. I was initially there for the romance, but the world, the plot, all the characters and their threads fascinated me so bad that I was immersed in its entirety. The moment I read the final chapters with the culmination of the story, all the reveals and confessions finally taking place, I experienced the biggest catharsis in my entire freaking life lmfao. It still took a long time for me to read all the extras or go back to read the uncensored chapters because the source material kept changing. So yeah, my first experience of mdzs was quite messy and very scattered through time. But I don’t regret taking it up one bit 💚

4. your favorite MDZS character? Why?

Wei wuxian 💚 He’s a ray of sunshine which doesn’t shy away from being tainted and thrown into the deepest darkness in the name of his loved ones and his beliefs, and still manages to shine. He is strong and resilient, but also incredibly empathetic and soft. He’s bold and daring, one of the smartest people ever, and filled with so much intense love. Annoyingly full of himself, but ngl it’s kind of an envy. I respect him terribly for a lot reasons and he’s one of my fav characters of all time, even if he did make me feel intense second-hand embarrassment at times xD

6. your favorite episode?

Mmmm I take it as the drama episode? I’m still at the beginning of cql so can’t really decide yet, but that’s a Thought to have while watching, I’ll keep that in mind ayy

11. Favourite Wei Wuxian era? (Cloud recess, Wandering with LZ, Yiling Patriarch, post-resurrection …)?

Idk how to call that period, kind of pre yiling laozu? After he came back from “the dead” to the jiang sect but before he needed to defect from it to save the Wen remnants. Many horrible things happened but the three siblings found each other again and the future started looking brighter! They gradually rebuilt their sect, qishan wen was finally being pushed off their high throne, there were some fun inter-sect activities like the hunt on the phoenix mountain, xuanli gravitated towards each other giving a promise of a strong alliance between jin and jiang sects. It wasn’t perfect but it was hopeful. And when I was reading, even though I knew the future, I still couldn’t get rid of that shining hope during bits of happiness.

And then everything went to shit, as promised by mxtx in the very first chapter :)

Well, I could stretch this period to include the yiling laozu period, at least when things settled down and wwx was living peacefully (as much as he could) with his Wen family <3 Until he got more and more messed up which led to him losing control ;-;

I am very fond of the lighter periods, like wwx finally getting his happiness with lwj after everything he suffered, I think I wouldn’t be able to continue living peacefully without this story being a happy end. But those two periods somehow stayed with me the most, imperfect and tough but also full of joy and working for the future. People scarred and with a lot on their plates, but supporting each other and repeatedly managing to rise again. Kind of what life is like, I’d say?

13. Headcanons?

The relationship between wwx and jc improves and wwx can spend casual time with his family in his old home lotus pier 💚 I talked a bit about it in this post but in short jc needs to chill the fuck out, learn healthy coping mechanisms, apologize, and actively work to mend his relationship with wwx. But also wwx needs to want to learn jc and finally understand him instead of jumping to conclusions and fueling their misunderstandings. Both of them have work to do for this to happen and it wouldn’t be easy, but I enjoy this thought and need this image for my preferable wholesome ending. Peace

Okay okay I am sending this headcanon to all the majority of the black clover babes😚 But I got a modern au headcanon that I got inspired from work it✨ That the black bulls cafe got half of the building destroyed and Yami (who isn’t bothered to steal from William’s bank account) and signs them up for a dance competition for the prize money!

It was a fairly normal day in the Black Bulls Café... The birds(Nero) were chirping, Luck was climbing on the ceiling, Yami was taking his usual dump of the day, and Asta was balancing a total of 13 teacups like it was a tower.

That was until whoever was on duty decided to have a "small" competition on who can get lunch the fastest between Luck and Magna

Magna: Let's see who can torpedo into this room the fastest with these 12 sandwiches

Luck: Good idea!!!

No, no it was not. The crash ended up blowing up half the café into smithereens and every person inside was covered in ash like that one cartoon show.

The one area that stayed completely safe was the bathroom Yami resided in. When he opened the door to the outside world, hell and all, he wasn't too surprised.

Yami: Damn kids, I should've gotten the blow-up proof walls huh

the Black Bulls: 👁👄👁 yeah

Since William and Yami are pretty close, they aren't really bothered to share account info? Definitely not the smartest idea and even he doesn't recommend it but this was a moment of desperation...! Who knows how much he took but it surely left William staring at his phone for a good 20 minutes in disbelief.

The announcement of a dance competition when Yami got back left each poor black bull in an awkward stance. Very few of them can dance and at most, two of them know how to tango.

It was a lot of money so Yami figured they could at least make this a fun little thing for them!

The dance comp is divided into two teams. (team 1)Charmy, Luck, Magna, Asta, Zora, Gauche, Secre VERSUS (team 2)Vanessa, Finral, Noelle, Gordon, Henry, Yami, and Grey.

Having Luck and Magna on separate teams would be interesting but when they fight together you really can't move your eyes away. And Asta vs. Noelle? Y e s. And Gordon n' Grey working together with Yami may bring them out of their shells a little.

In case you're wondering, Nacht is the judge. And he's a ruthless one.

Nacht: If you do n o t make a full 180° you're going into the cage with the beasts

Team 1 didn't do too bad, their dances included some unique component... Like juggling food or spitting fire out of their mouth while twirling. It did at some point end in a mini explosion but it somehow looked a part of the routine.

Team 2 had some advantage since Noelle, Finral, and Vanessa can kinda dance! They also included thin mana waves that looked like... literal waves. Gordon didn't participate much so that made them lose a few points but he tried :)) Yami tho... Let's not get into that.

Vanessa: Instead of dancing can we just drink 😌

The outcome of who the winner is up to you! Both faired well but still shared equal losses.

Riverdale Rewatch Review - Season One

Hey guys! So, as everyone knows, there’s like, this big thing happening in the world right now causing everyone to have to stay inside and a lot of people have way more free time on their hands than they know what to do with. I am one of those people. After I finish my schoolwork I find that barely even half a day has passed. What do I fill that time with? Animal Crossing. But also, watching Netflix.

I’ve wanted to rewatch Riverdale for the longest time, and I figure that now is the best time to do it.

So, the way this will work, I’ll give my overall thoughts and review of the season, my favorite episodes, and then I’m going to give you a play-by-play of my thoughts while rewatching each episode under the break. So, without further ado:

Overall Review

Looking at the bigger picture of everything I know Riverdale has come to be, I think the statement stands true that Season One is one of their strongest season, if not their actual strongest (Season Four has been climbing up there for me in fav seasons).

Watching it all together, the drama seemed evenly paced, and everyone seemed to get the same amount of screen time, including characters we barely see anymore like Kevin and Reggie. There are some interesting shots, and I found myself jammin to some of the songs they had the characters sing as well as the background music.

It was clear that they had a plan, and they knew where they were going. Hints of relationships happened WAY before they became official, and it seemed like everyone was on the same page, which is difficult to say for later seasons (which I will also be making reviews on shortly).

For only having 13 episodes, Riverdale did an excellent job in it’s first season hooking everyone in to the drama and the mystery, including me. I believe it was after the second or third episode when this blog was created, and I’ve been here ever since. This season is responsible for why a lot of fans stuck around, and for why a lot of fans left.

Overall, I would say it had amazing storytelling, character development, cinematic techniques, and everything else you could think of. My final rating would be a 10/10. Even if you don’t like later seasons, you can’t deny this one was really good, and had a lot of classic Riverdale moments -insert gif of Jughead saying “I’m a weirdo” here bc I tried to find it but couldn’t-.

Rewatch Thoughts

Episode 1:

It’s so clear right from the start that Veronica likes Archie oh my god

I love Betty Cooper dance parties and I want more of them

Wow I hate Alice from the very beginning

Fred Andrews was the best parent on Riverdale from the very beginning. Period.

Maybe the show is more consistent than I thought. Archie was dumb since season one episode one for lying to his dad.

Veronica was so supportive of Betty and Archie we stan a supportive friend

Oh my god did we all collectively forget that Archie dated a freaking TEACHER?!

JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS MY HEART I love and miss them

Jughead was such a broody lil boy wasn’t he oh my gosh Betty really did change him for the better didn’t she

“Whatever happened with Betty, just talk to her. It’ll go a long way” We stan a king who wants open communication from the beginning yas Jughead

Episode 2:

God, the teacher is so manipulative

Oh god i’m gonna have to relive the dark Betty arc aren’t I

This rewatch is just gonna further my love for Jughead. He was the smartest one since day one

WAIT i completely forgot they changed Reggie’s actor oh my goodness

Episode 3:

there was a mention of Greendale in the VERY FIRST SEASON

The only good thing Penelope Blossom ever did was punch Alice Cooper and that’s that on that

I love the early journalism relationship between Betty and Jughead

Ya’ll I miss jughead narrating at the beginning and end of every episode

THE TWILIGHT DRIVE IN. I MADE SO MANY FANFICTIONS SET THERE AWH

Jug was so upset over the drive in my HEART. Jughead had a JOB. Am I the only one who forgot that?

He called her Betts and she called him Juggy their already in a relationship let’s face it.

Ya’ll remember how INSANE the reveal of Jughead’s dad was?

WAIT ITS THE BABY SHOWER SCENE

“It’s totally on my bucket list” we don’t deserve Jughead

the LOOKS Archie got when he walked into that baby shower

Can you believe how normal it became to be a part of the serpents? And in the beginning it was such a big deal? Like Arch, hate to break it to you, you become an honorary serpent one day

Episode 9:

Riverdale season one really be hitting different. It’s so,, innocent lol, and that’s sayin something

The Blossoms are a cult all their own I’m just sayin

The parents really do be acting like teenagers tho

1.) What would your dream vacation be?

Um... well, traditionally, it’s always been Liverpool. I think I’d like to do a natural holiday somewhere, like do lots of nature walks and stuff. Had an ambition to travel around Europe for like a year. New York would be nice but I don’t think I could stomach a 5 hour plus flight XP Exploring more of Ireland would be nice. Canada I also thought would be nice.

2.) Tell me a random fact about yourself.

Uh... I have a green belt in Kick Boxing. Tis a little known fact, cos I constantly forget it XP Haven’t done Kick Boxing in around 10 years, but the belt stays!

3.) Do you believe in love at first sight?

I believe that 2 people can form a bond instantaneously, but I think to love someone you have to know them wholly.

4.) What’s your favorite season?

Probably autumn/winter time. Don’t really pay much attention tbh. In Ireland, there’s not much difference between the seasons apart from “slightly warmer” and “slightly colder”. I enjoy going out in the snow because the sun and the heat and humidity in the summer is bad sensory for me and makes it hard to breathe sometimes.

5.) Do you believe that you can do anything if you put your heart and mind to it?

Well, obviously not “anything” but I think if you set your mind on accomplishing something, you can do it. I know for me, I’ve always believed that if I put my 100% effort into something I have a feeling that I’ll do it. Once I trust myself to do something, I believe I’ll get it done well.

6.) Would you say you make friends easily?

I wouldn’t say that, no. I actually think I don’t make good first impressions and I find it hard to maintain friendships at the early stages but once I become good friends with someone it usually lasts for a long time.

7.) How long is the longest you’ve walked at one time?

Um... I once walked for about 21km, for what was around I think at least a couple of hours. If I had to guess, 6 hours. That was a time, nearly got lost, apparently it’s the equivalent of walking 183 flights of stairs.

8.) Do you have any allergies?

I have asthma, which is an allergy to dust. One doctor told me I’m allergic to pollen, but I don’t think that’s right.

9.) Would you ever go on a blind date?

No, unless I really trusted the person who was setting it up. Usually, I would like to know the person I’m getting into a relationship. Ideally, I would only have one relationship tho.

10.) Are you an emotional person?

Um, according to my partner I am. I would also say that I experience emotions very intensely and find it hard to separate from rational decisions.

11.) Do you want to have a family when you get older?

I would like to have a partner in future, yes. I’m not sure about kids, probably wouldn’t like to have any of those. That could change obviously, but for right now no thank you.

12,) If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I actually don’t think I’d change much about myself tbh. I like that I’m unique, and me and no one else is like me. Maybe I’d make it so my emotional reactions weren’t so extreme, that’s about it.

13.) What was your favorite toy growing up?

This one has a lot of different answers. Firstly, there’s my “blanket”, which was actually just a ripped sleeve. Then, there’s my favorite teddies, sleepy and Teddy. Then there’s a little ceramic elephant I have and a plastic pig. Finally a scuba bath toy I really liked.

14.) What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Most recently, it would be doing an airport to and from a foreign country all by myself, cos even one year ago I couldn’t have imagined doing that and I was really proud of myself for doing it without any problems. Overall, it would probably be... I was given a letter from the President of Ireland when I was around 9 for being in the top 100 students in the country for intelligence.

15.) Which historical figure would you like to be?

I relate a lot to Alexander Hamilton but his life kinda sucked tbh. I really admire Albert Einstein and all the work he did and what he believed in. King Arthur is probably the last person I thought I’d like to be like but I don’t think he counts. I don’t think I’d be anyone other than me but if I had to, probably... Henry Cavendish cos he’s really relatable.

16.) What would you do if you were invisible for a day?

I like being seen, but if I had to, probably something illegal.

17.) If you could time travel, where would you go?

Either around the time of Jesus’ birth to see if he was real and did everything he said he did, or medieval Britain to find King Arthur. Or the 1960s, they’re a time I vibe with.

18.) What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?

Vanilla (sue me!)

19.) If you could be a cartoon character for a week, who would you be?

Garfield seems to have it made. Spock is technically a cartoon character, so I’m gonna go with him, ha!

19.) What’s your favorite childhood book?

I’ve actually forgotten the name of it, and there were so many. Probably my first encyclopedia, because that helped me discover that I love learning new things.

20.) Who would play you in a movie of your life?

I think Tom Holland would do a good job. Maybe Toby Maguire or Nathan Fillion also.

21.) What’s your favorite smell in the whole world?

Alcohol from hand sanitizer.

22.) If you could pick a new first name, what would it be?

Probably Max. I think it sounds cool. Riley is another one I had floating around for a while. Ben too, oddly enough. I like the name I have tho.

23.) What’s your dream job?

One where I get paid for not working at all. Anything revolving around Creative Digital Media seems appealing atm.

24.) What fictional character do you wish you could meet?

Right now, it would be Connor from DBH. Sherlock Holmes and Batman have been long term favorites.

25.) What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?

“Be you” - it was a long speech a teacher gave me about labels and stuff like that but he also illustrated the progress I had made and made me realize that, hey, I’m pretty cool! Think I could be better in a lot of ways but hey, I’m pretty cool for who I am and very strong and resilient.

26.) Would you rather be the most popular kid in school or the smartest kid in school?

Smartest. Every day of the week. I have never and will never want to be popular. Plus, some would say I’m already the smartest in my school, so it’s not really a contest between either choice tbh.

27.) What is your favorite day of the week?

Used to be Saturday, cos that’s when I got to see my SO. Now it’s probably... any day I can manage a break tbh XP

think i lost my best friend

as a small child my first first best friend was a boy named omar. we met in daycare when we were two. we were the smallest in the class but had the biggest mouths. we ended up going to the same schools until 4th grade. at our elementary school anytime someone claimed me as a best friend, he would explain that we went way back to diapers and they weren’t my best friend lmao.

in pre-k i met a boy named hakeem. (our mom’s ended up being friends, they still talk occasionally and sometimes my mom will tell me how hakeem and his siblings are doing. because she know my weird ass cares about that sort of thing). hakeem brought these lemon cookies everyday for snack. i liked them too but in strawberry, so he would have his mom get me some and he brought me those cookies everyday until we changed schools in first grade. we always sat together, did our work together, played together. we had other friends but we mostly did everything together.

in first grade i had 2 best friends. a boy named franklyn and a girl named melody. melody moved away like 4 months into the school year but to this day i’ve never forgotten her. franklyn, i thought he was so cool. he was a really great artist.. for a 6 year old lol. he was real funny too. he had the funniest facial expressions. and he was real serious which i was entertained by because i’ve always been “silly”.

in 4th grade i met a girl named shanelle. we were the shortest girls in the class and the smartest. we were really similar in general and we instantly clicked. it was a whole lil group of girls that i’d known since first grade. but shanelle and i ended up in the same class in 4th grade and we clicked idk. that was my mf girl. when i first moved to florida we talked on the phone every saturday for hours. i also met a boy named anias that year. he was one of my best friends too. he was also my first crush lol. unrelated but it’s interesting to look back at how i handled the fact that i liked him, because i still handle liking people that same way.

fifth grade was my first year in florida. it was real hard for me to make friends. the other day, my mom said to me she realized that in new york i never had to make friends. i have bout 5011 cousins, so that's built in friends right there. and they were my friends back then, they're my friends now. then most of the kids i went to daycare with, they went to my elementary school. so again i never had to make a friend really. i knew everyone in my life since i was a literal infant.

but yea i did end up making friends eventually. got my first white friends ever lol. (one of their dad’s called me a nigger which is still hands down one of the weirdest things i’ve ever experienced.) i started to befriend more girls which was cool because before then i always had way more guy friends than girls.

in middle school i went to one school for 6th grade, then another for 7th & 8th. in 6th i met my friend nijah. and she was my best friend then. she treated me like i was her little sister and i’m still grateful. she really looked out for my little ass and defended me no matter what. she was present after i got into my first fight lol. and even though i held my own, the girl had scratched my face. that shit set nijah off and she proceeded to beat homegirl’s ass even though i just did.

i struggled to make friends in 7th again. in 6th grade i went to the same school that most of my elementary friends went to, so again i didn’t have to make friends for real. i did make new friends but it was different because it was a group thing. not me alone trying to fit in somewhere. in 7th grade i finally got into a school i applied to in 5th grade but was wait-listed. i was and am very reluctant to speak to those i don’t know for a list of reasons. so i didn’t. i would just observe the people in my class. eventually these two girls named janae and keely who were best friends, kinda let me stick my ass in there with them. then i met bart and this girl dani. i remember marcus and i had ended up befriending one another bc our history teacher sat us next to each other when he was reassigning seats. (i remember every mf thing but marcus was also my second crush so naturally i remember every detail of that shit). so yea those were my friends. at the time janae was my best friend tho. she was the only other black girl in the class that would talk to me and didn’t think i was weird. it was because her ass was weird too lol. i didn’t act like the rest of the black girls and they really only spoke to me to make fun of me. which i knew, but i’ve never been one to entertain shit unless “you got beat my ass about it”.

in 8th grade janae and i met this group of girls. morgan, dejahnna, atlantis, and jarvayssia. some shit shifted that year and morgan and dejahanna became my best friends. they were the first friends i ever hang out with outside of school. it made me feel so good to be invited to shit and to feel included. to feel like a normal ass 13 yr old felt amazing.

so in high school there were two schools all the magnet school kids would usually apply to. stanton and paxon. with the exception of keely, bart, and a few other people i didn't mention here. every single person i was close with in middle school, went to paxon. what's crazy is most of my friends were going for stanton because in jax it’s the “better” school as far as ranking goes. i don't even remember why but when i toured paxon, i liked it more than stanton and i wanted to go there. it’s still funny to me that my ass didn’t want to go to stanton but was one of the only ones in my close friend group to get in.

so yea at stanton is struggled. a lot. personally but also in the friend department. to put it plainly i had none. people didn't really talk to me or acknowledge me really. at first i didn’t mind it. but then having a fucked up home situation and having no friends just made me feel real shitty. there was that thing again, with people talking to me only to make fun of me. some of those same people would turn around senior year and try to be my friend senior year which was hilarious to me at the time. it was like they forgot how they treated my extra depressed ass back then. i met this girl chelsey in 10th grade and she was hella sweet. she basically forced me on her friends and they became my friends.

okay so anyway, in 11th grade i met a girl named ahmani. she was in my chorus class. i remember our first encounter, it was towards the beginning of the school year. stanton was playing paxon and it was the game everyone went to ya know. i wanted to go but my mom couldn't take me. so everyone is talking about it and someone asked if i was coming. i said no and why, ahmani ended up asking me what side of town i lived on. we realized we dead lived like 7 minutes away from each other. she offered to pick me up and bring me to the game w her. i was amazed that she was willing to, i know that dont sound like a big deal but to me it was. people weren’t nice to me bro. like ever. so for her to do that it meant a lot. she ended up being my ride every mf where. she is dead the reason i hung out w people outside of school w my friends. she took me everywhere with her. sometimes we would just sit in the car and talk or listen to music. we had a group of friends, it was 5 of us. but i was the closest with her.

i admired her. i thought she was so strong and resilient. she's hella awkward but she owns it. she's low-key/highkey anxious sometimes but she works through it. no one i’ve ever met works harder to achieve shit than she is. she sings so beautifully. she is beautiful. she's a caretaker of basically anyone she knows. she is a light, she was my light for so long when i needed it. we’re pretty different but also a lot alike. we just worked. i always told her where i fall short she picks up my slack and vice versa. we might be a bit of a mess separately but our heads working together is unstoppable. we’re kinda a mess together too honestly but it’s us.

in college we didn't spend as much time together. we both stayed home for two years and went to a community college. we would hang out like weekly i think. i’m pretty sure we saw each other once a week at the very least. but then she went to orlando for university and i went to UNF which in jax. we didn’t talk all that much and i understood. i wasn't necessarily too busy, but thats because i just never am that fucking busy lmfao. idk the way i go through life is weird. i only make time for the shit and people i want to make time for. i refuse to do anything i dont want to. and that isn’t necessarily my best trait but I'm working on it. but yea i guess she was busier than i? idk when i don’t speak to people for a while i dont make a big deal. i tell myself it isn’t on purpose and i move on. i often tell myself not to apply more importance to my life than what is necessary. especially when others are involved. again, not my best trait but i’m working on it.

so yea though our communication got limited i still considered her my best friend. when she would come to the city, if she had time we hung out. i always have time lmfao, always. again i know other people’s lives are more full than mine. well i assume so. anyway. we spoke on the phone. we were there when the other needed i think. i try hard not to need people. like not to call them or burden them with my issues. i try real hard. but when she needed me i was there. not to say i’ve ever needed her and she wasn’t there. because that isn’t the case at all.

recently we planned to move to chicago together. a whole chain of events happened and now we aren’t. i’m still moving and i’m pretty sure she is too. just not together. the way it happened is really fucking with me. i don’t wanna get into it bc of privacy and shit. but i will say that i am hurt. im really hurt and im confused and im beating myself up over some shit that everyone keeps telling me isn't my fault. feels like my fault though. that feels like the only explanation. i dont know.

i’ve been thiniking a lot. about friends and how i never really had any. i just spoke to people so i wasn't alone or sometimes i just spoke to no one and made myself be okay with it. and now i have this group of friends and we’re like family. everyone that is my friend currently is my family. all of my friends i have currently i made over the internet. and i was bothered by that im not even gonna lie. it felt good to still have ahmani bc i would see her more than i see my other friends. i still have some i didn't meet yet. idk i just.. im the only person in my like personal life with internet friends. like in my family. and i felt like i just fed the fact that my family thinks im not even the least bit “normal”. then i started to feel bad. because it felt like that meant i was ashamed of my friends.and i’m not. i love them. i dont wanna lose any of them any time soon. and i’m realizing i dont need anyone’s approval to make those friendships “real” or valid. because they are real and valid to me.

but yea i dont think ahmani and i will be friends anymore. or if we do end up being friends again, we probably won't speak for a while. i don’t know what that means. but losing a friend sucks a whole lot and i wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

1. How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?2. Their mother? How do they think of her? What do they hate? Love? What influence - literal or imagined - did the mother have?

His father is a piece of shit but slightly less of a piece of shit than his mother. It made Thomas want to be a better person out of spite. It’s why he takes Alex in the way he does, he wants to prove that even if he isn’t her father biologically or whatever he’s still a better parental figure than either of his parents ever were to him.

3. Brothers, sisters? Who do they like? Why? What do they despise about their siblings?

He’s one of at least 4 kids, maybe more. He doesn’t speak to his siblings and they don’t get along. Huge case of middle child syndrome but is entirely justified in his case. Thomas fucked off out of Zakon for a reason.

4. What type of discipline was your character subjected to at home? Strict? Lenient?

My dude is parents were basically Tywin Lannister x2. Super strict, nothing he did was good enough.

5. Were they overprotected as a child? Sheltered?

HA that’s a big fat NO.

6. Did they feel rejection or affection as a child?

Rejection my dude. His parents saw him as a failure both on like a personal level and on a bigger level. Like a ‘this child is punishment for all the ways i’ve gone wrong’ sort of way. He wasn’t a bad kid or anything but his siblings were all extraordinary in some way and he was just Thomas.

7. What was the economic status of their family?

They’re well off but idk if that’s because money or political power or both. They WERE in the spotlight occasionally and that’s why his parents were so obsessed with every one of their kids being perfect.

8. How does your character feel about religion?

He’s not very quietly religious. He prays by himself a lot but nothing more than that for his home religion. After he gets away from Zakon and into the main system he still just keeps to himself but he is fond of the religion on Nathos. He finds it nice, peaceful. He’ll occasionally attend things there even if he doesn’t actually believe, he finds it comforting.

9. What about political beliefs?

His beliefs can be summed up as “don’t be a dick”. For real tho he just wants to help people and to not live in a military state anymore.

10. Is your character street-smart, book-smart, intelligent, intellectual, slow-witted?

He’s got high emotional intelligence but other than that it’s all street smarts. He can read people easily and is highly empathetic and knows how to use it.

11. How do they see themselves: as smart, as intelligent, uneducated?

She’s smart and is aware of it. She knows she’s not like, omg the smartest person out there, she doesn’t find her intelligence remarkable, but she knows she’s not stupid.

12. How does their education and intelligence – or lack thereof - reflect in their speech pattern, vocabulary, and pronunciations?

She speaks all the languages of the system since that’s what she has spent all of her time since college studying. She has a habit of using grammar from one language while speaking another. It’s even worse when she’s switching between the two for conversations. She’s really good at mimicking accents and dialects tho!

13. Did they like school? Teachers? Schoolmates?

She did like school as long as it didn’t involve math. She would get in fights pretty often with her classmates because smol Emma had Opinions and she was going to defend them.

14. Were they involved at school? Sports? Clubs? Debate? Were they unconnected?

SPACE MUN!!! She was a total nerd for whatever the space version of MUN is. She was good at it too and it’s what got her interested in studying languages.

15. Did they graduate? High-School? College? Do they have a PHD? A GED?

She’s got at least one college degree in languages and poli sci and then after the Main Plot i think she’d work towards getting a masters and then later once she and Ramsay move to Praemia she gets a PhD too.

16. What does your character do for a living? How do they see their profession? What do they like about it? Dislike?

Sarah.......... you Know

She works for the bureau as a team leader/handler. Her agents handle what are basically RICO cases. They go undercover a lot but not all the time. It’s Emma’s job to keep them up to date on everything and to make sure they come home okay.

She loves her job, her coworkers, she loves being able to take down crime rings that people thought were untouchable. The best part is seeing the tangible difference she makes in the system. She really hates bureaucracy tho and the fact that she can’t do fieldwork anymore.

17. Did they travel? Where? Why? When?

Yes!! She stayed on all of the planets for extended periods of time as part of her college’s intensive language program.

18. What did they find abroad, and what did they remember?

She found her passion, tbh. She found that being able to communicate with so many people to be the best thing she had ever experienced and so she kept up with the language program even when it got super hard and intense.

19. What were your character’s deepest disillusions? In life? What are they now?

Well her fertility issues certainly fucked her up. The constant miscarriages messed her up but not nearly as much as her daughter. Because here’s the thing, yes she was attached to the miscarriages, she had names picked out for most of them, but she didn’t go to the hospital expecting to bring home a healthy baby like she did with Abigail. The fertility issues combined with the stillbirth really just destroyed any faith she had in a higher being.

Ted also did a number on her ability to trust. The fact that he left her after she was paralyzed fucked her up. The cheating fucked her up. He messed up her ability to believe in marriage which is why later on it’s Ramsay that has to bring it up (and tbh she wouldn’t have agreed if not for the adoption thing)

20. What were the most deeply impressive political or social, national or international, events that they experienced?

I mean, she was there for the first water riots. She got paralyzed in one of those riots. Then she lives through all of the Main Plot things that I won’t spoil for the general public.

as im trying to looking forward, a part of me is whispering failure.. can I make something, something beautiful, something inspiring, encouraging? to spread a heartfelt smile on somebody’s face, reassuring whoever is behind their computer screen there is reason, no matter how stupid or small it is, to laugh or smile. I want to remind people how video games are really meant to be played, what creates the pro environment and competition in the first place, showing them how to have fun with their video games, showing them how to enjoy spending their free time so that its at least not wasted. If I can leave at least one thing to take away and let people know they feel reassured, loved, supported, not alone then all the time I put into the videos im making have been worth my time. Acts of kindness, sportsmanship good cheer. Make them feel like holy crap this makes me want to play this game

Here i go as I just write down whatever im thinking about:

some of the funnest games I really enjoyed playing as a kid: Super Smash bros melee: at first had all my favorite characters from different games EVER , kirby, pikachu, mario, all these nintendo characters like Link, Fire emblem’s marth and roy, so much variety Pokemon: such a fun adventure, not having much access to the internet , the world was magical, every corner was a new surprise. There were random Pokeballs on the floor, instances where your in game rival would show up and challenge you to a battle with his own unique pokemon. the pokemon I had felt unique, the team I had felt special and I bonded with these pokemon. I didnt have in mind what my friends or any one else who also played the video game what strategies or pokemon they thought were good and were their own personal favorite. The competition element fair and exciting because there weren’t many popular guides or communities and forums that people were aware of. Internet spoiled the fun because it exposed many of the surprises and secrets of the game. It almost was as if there was a person sitting next to me telling me how they already beat the game, caught all 150 pokemon telling me which pokemon were trash and not worth my time, the perfect IVs and proper way of how to make the strongest team possible. Though they may be right it totally killed my joy for the game, stripping of the surprise and wonder element video games used to hold as this now apple is to almost every other video game. and altho the right answer is to not focus and compare my self to the people surrounding me its like someone standing right behind me saying video games are FAKE, WASTE OF TIME. So spending my free time trying to Man people need to pay less attention to how others are spending their time playing video games. MANNN you’re winning if you’re enjoying your time having fun whether kicking ass, accomplishing a hard puzzle or challenge, discover something rare on your own again i guess thats added to your personal merit, get a good laugh, listening to good music, reminds you of something important to you whether its through story telling and the music, whether its learning more about experiences and other people around you. Theres so much video games could teach you, what you could learn from. like many other hobbies or people like to do on their spare time, video games are another outlet of creating happy memories, memories that could be shared with the people we love. I find my self exploring all these different video games to try and remember why I fell in love with video games when I was a lot younger. What made it so exciting and fun, and when I let something else rob me of that joy. I remember when I was in elementary school my brother and I had our own Gameboy Colors. I had purple one given from my Auntie and my brother had a neon Green gameboy color that was given from our grandpa’s brother, i guess granduncle. Both of us had our seperate Pokemon version where Pokemon Red was my first video game ever and my brother had Pokemon Yellow. anyways my mom would only allow us to play for an hour or two a day and I just remember my sister wanting to play pokemon too and so I let her play mine, and althouhg i wasnt playing I really enjoyed watching them just play. I felt so happy that we were all able to play together even if I was just watching my brother thumb through his starting Pokemon team in Saffron city. Idk why thats so vivid. We had to share alot things growing up, rooms, 1 hour turns on the computer, hand me down clothes, Gamecube turns. i remember i bought a tv plugin game which was star wars/ spongebob that didnt need a console. it had 5 games in it , but crowding around the small tv in me and my brothers room playing video games together.. i miss that so much. i just wanted us to get along and have fun.

god i always hear people saying that their entire life they were losers and the bullied kid, but did they ever have a fanny pack with 100 calorie Special K bars on 1,000 diet imitating their favorite Taijustus specialist? (Rock Lee Image) I used to be obssesed with my eating only 1,000 calories a day because I was pretty chunky in middle school. One time in PE we had to do our quarterly mile run and I remember always dreading these big days. Every week we had to run around the track for 20 minutes, no walking, and see how many laps you could run in that time. We were graded on how many laps we could run, 6 laps was D , 7 Laps was a C , 8 Laps was a B, 9 and more was an A. I dreaded every single week for these 20 minute runs, but I celebrated super heavily after it we were done. I was always super nervous and anxious thinking about these days because I always forced myself to do my absolute best. I hated the thought of competing with the people next to me. I used to run 10 laps and my best being 11 laps, which I thought was insanely good. The fastest was I think 12 or 13 laps but they werent in my class. I suppose I felt proud of what I accomplished, my classmates thought I was fast. I would wear shorts everyday in middle school. In 4th and 5th grade I used to run 3 miles every day in the summer with my grandpa and sometimes my sister because I came home one day from a a Dr.’s Checkup saying that my cholesterol was pretty high. Seperate from my school’s 5k I only entered one 5k run with my grandpa who did the 7k run. I felt horrible because I was just overweight and I didnt find myself that attractive. God, especially when your older brother was more handsome had abs and biceps since 5th grade. ashjdkasld yeah this is where my self esteem issues come from, but anyways, I was complimented on my buldgy calves. They were pretty big, for a big boy like my self. I remember one time when runnign the 20 minute run I always thought about falling over and getting hurt so I didnt have to run, mentally I wanted to just stop myself from pushing my body. ashdbjnka My best mile time was 5:37 by the way. When it was raining and they made us stay inside our school’s gym, playing dodgeball. I WAS SO HAPPY. I would pray that it would rain enough so that the track would be too wet where we all the PE classes would have to walk around the basketball quarts and then the other half o the class would have to play basketball. I WAS ALWAYS SUPER EXCITED. Those were the best days regular days of school. of course not more exciting than Game days, honor-roll Bingo , or field trips of course AHAHA One time I brought I red chocolate balls that I got from people standing in front of safeway that were wrapped neatly in this plastic bag. I gave some to my friends before we ran, thinking wow we could be just like Choji and his ration pellets. Jesus. It was just concentrated choclate balls of sugar. -- It was pretty good tho. Middle school was awesome. I did whatever I wanted no matter how uncool people thought it was. I thought that just doing what I loved was the coolest thing ever. I used to read the Shonen Jump manga magazines and I was reading the YugiOh Gx weekly chapter and Jesus H. christ it looked so fun. The next day I talked to my friend who was fanatic about Yugioh and he helped me create a deck. The next two years FUHHHH our whole friend group was playing yugioh. It felt like some anime, going home editing decks, dueling in my friends garage drinking cans of Dr. Pepper and honey Twisted BBQ chips. Playing some Halo 3 and Pokemon Stadium 2 on the side. IT WAS SO FUN. When we would have a party in class or potluck I’d get 4 cups of Pepsi, Plateful of Doritos , Lays and Hot cheetos and my friends and I would whip out our decks. Living the life. At the time the Wii , xbox 360 and itouch were very popular. I didnt have a smart phone til the end of my high school and wasnt until my freshman year in high school that I bought my own prepaid phone and minutes and texting plans. anyways the only console my brother and sister i had was teh game cube so these consoles were treasures whenever I would go over to my friends house after school. there was also this one time in middle school where our homeroom teacher allowed 4 people from our AVID class, and at the time I thought AVID students were the smartest collection of indivuals in our school, to go around campus picking up recyables such as cans and bottles so we could sell and add to our class field trip fundraiser. At first our teacher assigned us only 10 minutes and expected us to comeback. 10 minutes of missing class was amazing. My group of friends and I felt so free, so powerful, passing the doors of other classrooms and students, walking where we shouldnt be. And when we would comeback she would reward us with homemade cookies. HOLY, our teacher was so kind. I cant remember if this was a daily thing, but we did this each time we had class. But every time we would come back deliberatly a little later. From intially 10 minutes we started coming back 15 minutes later, then 20. And I kid you not we started going out “recycling” for the entire class period which was about 50 minutes. IT WAS AMAZING. And we may had been in middle school, but we werent dumb. We were AVID students. Advancement via indpendent determination. We were the futures most brightest, up and coming. So we were thinking if we could somehow find more cans and bottles to fill up our garbage bags itd be more than enough reason to explain why we were coming back later than we were orginally suppose to. So initally we would invite ourselves to other classrooms tell the teacher ‘we’re reclying, dw , were supposed to be here’ and go through their blue bins and take whatever cans and bottles we can add it to our bags. Then we started looking at the larger reclye bins in the shcools court yard and just take all the bottles in their. Realistically it took no more than 5 minutes to fill a garbage bag filled with cans and bottles, but we would spend the rest of our vacation racing each other on our school’s track and kick each other on the school’s monkey bars. Jesus. it was so fun. my life feels pretty defeated right now, so I just wanted to share with

Appearing before the Dramacourt: Hwarang: Poet Warrior Youth Eps 13-14 (we decided to combine these two eps because yet again there wasn’t much happening in ep 13)

Issues:

Whether armies are useless when it comes to hungry peasants?

Whether the Hwarang are actually useless?

Whether it pays to be nosy?

Whether the best way to flush someone out is to start killing people?

Whether anything has really happened in this drama so far?

The Rule(s):

Always. Look up anything in history. Peasant Mobs > Armies.

Apparently so. What were you guys doing while Scarface/Peasant Mob was stealing your food and gifts?

It never pays to be nosy. Minding your own business keeps you out of unnecessary trouble.

Not really. There are much better, more effective ways to flush someone out than killing people. Carrots > Sticks.

Again, not really. It’s been 14 episodes and the plot has quite literally CRAWLED. Nothing earth shattering has happened.

Application:

RedRosette J: Guys. Honestly, this drama is really starting to get on my nerves. Whenever I think of Mondays, I now associate it with Hwarang and the annoyance of having to watch it. It’s not cute anymore and it’s just dragging its feet. When you have a very busy schedule, this snail’s pace plot doesn’t help. Episode 13 was especially brutal and slow except for the major plot development as far as I’m concerned being the kiss that we were Ban Ryu-Soo Yeon shippers were all waiting for! Yay! Finally. It was a bit of an awkward kiss, but I love these two so I’ll take an awkward kiss over no kiss. And omg smiling Ban Ryu will be the death of me. Thank you. Other developments in episode 13 was this whole thing to send the Hwarang guys on a road trip with the Pointless Princess and Sun Woo getting more of an inkling of Ji Dwi’s secret.

Jubiemon J: I agree too that Hwarang is beginning to feel like a chore. After I finish an episode, I always wonder whether anything has even happened. I keep asking RedRosette this question as well. Has the plot even moved along? Nothing major comes to mind. Episode 13 at least had that cute kiss.

RedRosette J: Episode 14 was even harder to get through. The whole robbery thing and the evil Crown Prince and it was all so meghhh. The only decent thing in episode 14 was we got to see Soo Ho and Ban Ryu bond and it turns out that Soo Ho knows about Soo Yeon’s crush on Ban Ryu. Super cute these two. We also got to see Ban Ryu making the choice to stick with the guys rather than follow through with his dad’s nefarious plan. You Go man! #teamHwarang. There was some other stuff with Han Sung and Dan Sae and a bunch of stuff with the Queen that I just skipped (Ugh!).

Jubiemon J: Episode 14 . . . was cringe-worthy because of that robbery. Hungry peasants vs army . . . hungry peasants win? All of a sudden . . . Hyungsik said not to kill them and then they run off. Later at night, the peasants steal food and Hwarang did nothing? Huh?! What a mess! And now from light-hearted bromance stuff we were promised, we have the heavy political things going on. Aiya.

Issue 1: Whether armies are useless when it comes to hungry peasants

RedRosette J: I would argue yes. Angry peasant mobs are quite effective in achieving results. If anyone has seen any episode of Spongebob, they would know that those angry fish people mobs are super effective achieving results. Similarly, hungry and angry peasants are way more effective than armies. I would think that it would also render an army ineffective against them. That is, a well disciplined one; an army led by a tyrant probably wouldn’t give a shit and would just kill everyone, but one led by a leader with half a brain would be unlikely to kill off all the peasants. Also, if people’s revolutions have taught us anything, its that common folk do have the power to get what they want. The only caveat to this is that is almost always involves some sort of violence. or Twitter. So yea, arguably an army would be useless when confronted by hungry peasants.

Jubiemon J: I think so too. In the end, they outnumber the Hwarang. What bugged me here was that the peasants spontaneously backed away after Ji Dwi was saying that they couldn’t kill them. That made me think that it was pointless for the peasants to have tried to steal food. The next day, Hwarang peeps were saying how all the food was stolen… Okay . . . so you guys were in charge of guarding stuff and you just let them take things . . . ugh…. I mean I know the peasants are starving, but the way they phrased it seemed like Hwarang was totally ignorant of people coming in to steal things in the middle of the night.

Issue 2: Whether the Hwarang are actually useless

RedRosette J: So there’s plot hole that bothers me in this. These guys are supposed to be the smartest bunch of people, yet they are outsmarted by Scarface and his posse of hungry peasants? Really? You expect us to believe that they left a whole carriage of gold and expensive treasures and food unguarded while they were on a road trip to a neighbouring kingdom who may have threatened war on yours. Hmmm. Let’s think about that for a second. Does this make sense? considering that these guys are supposed to be super educated and receiving all this warrior training that they would make such a rookie mistake? I’m sorry but if you really needed to advance the plot in this whole ‘lost everything while on the road’ direction, you could have done it so much better. Have the peasants steal while distracting them or something. This whole scene was iffy and wasn’t working. It made the Hwarang seem useless. If they can’t safeguard a carriage of gold, how are they supposed to safeguard a whole Kingdom?

Jubiemon J: Hwarang doesn’t seem to be very effective because as soon as they all hear that Aro is imprisoned, they start fighting the guards. Okay, Ji Dwi was like no, you cannot use your swords, but you are still fighting? Same thing as provoking some war? Ugh. Really, the evil Prince from the other country was right. They were all fighting for 1 woman that was accidentally imprisoned? Lol . . .

Issue 3: Whether it pays to be nosy

RedRosette J: No. This is like a basic grade school level concept: MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. Again, they have to go and make Aro a martyr character who makes friends with the “help” and tells stories to the “poor” and is so perfect and nosy that her nosiness gets her in trouble. Ugh. It doesn’t pay to be nosy. Why are you in everyone’s business? I think even if you had to be nosy, you need to think about it carefully before you act on it. Aro’s actions put everyone in jeopardy. There’s a difference between being a nice person and then putting an entire Kingdom at risk. I’m not a fan of Aro and her shortsightedness. *sigh*

Jubiemon J: I feel like Aro is the type of person that thinks she is super smart but in reality she is not. (Pet peeve here.) I mean look at V’s character. He knows he’s not as bright as others and accepts it. Aro, on the other hand, often has a know-it-all vibe. Unfortunately, she doesn’t think deep enough or far enough.

Issue 4: Whether the best way to flush someone out is to start killing people

RedRosette J: Not really. Killing people just creates so much unnecessary drama and can cause international incidents. It’s one thing to try to get someone to confess to being the ‘Faceless King’ or whatever, but it’s a whole other story when there’s diplomacy on the line. In this case, the delegation from Silla went to Baekje to avoid going to war and if the psycho Prince of Baekje starts killing off citizens from Silla for a pointless reason, I think that that would be a reason to go to war. But then again, this is when it’s looked at from a modern diplomacy point of view. I guess during Ye Olde Times, a few peasants getting killed probably wouldn’t warrant an “inter-Kingdom” incident. I still think that there are much better ways to try to get the King to show his face rather than killing people. They could have taken Aro hostage (which is essentially what happened anyway. Those poor peasants were collateral damage *shakes head*). Or they could have induced him with some kind of benefit (not that that would happen given Ji Dwi’s character, but still it would be worth a shot). Regardless of the strategy, anything has to be better than killing people. It’s so extra and unnecessary.

Jubiemon J: I guess what the show really wanted to illustrate was how messed up the Prince was? There’s just more drama when you start doing mass threats. It’s kind of funny in a way because he went from . . . Princess, marry me and then after a few mins, he changes to . . let me kill all these peasants. -0-”

Issue 5: Whether anything has really happened in this drama so far

RedRosette J: Jubiemon and I were talking about this because we’re both so frustrated about how slowly this drama is moving and about how nothing really seems to happen in the episodes. The plot is very very slow and as for the significant developments, I can count on one hand the major things that happened. We’re currently at episode 14 and nothing mind blowing has happened. *sigh* It’s very disappointing considering that there was so much hype around this drama. I also recently found out that there are 20 episodes and not 16 like I had initially thought. OMG. I’m not going to be able to write anything decent on these posts unless the plot picks up in the next episode -_-

Jubiemon J: Yup, I’ve mentioned this before but this drama is just so boring now. I liked the bromance between Do Ji Han and Choi Minho, but now that there’s so much heavy political tension . . . *yawn*. I also think Aro and Sunwoo’s romance hasn’t even been fully developed or nothing interesting or cute has happened between them. Sigh. Can’t we keep it lighthearted for once? Skip the politics.

RedRosette J Aside: The only other characters apart from Soo Ho and Ban Ryu that I like are Dan Sae and the Old Helper dude. Hands up for awkward friendships!
