Muslims devotees of Krishna base their beliefs on a hadith (saying of the Prophet) which mentions that Allah sent down 124,000 prophets on earth, to every region on earth.
In this tradition, still common amongst Muslim families in the Doab region, Krishna and Rama were two prophets that were sent to India.
