ok i have GOT to make a halloween request. i don’t really care which characters (tho scarvio main cast + jacq or turo is preferred at the time of writing this) but how about them reacting to the reader having halloween as their birthday? bc ofc it’s MY birthday so i feel obligated to request this lol and ofc u don’t have to do this but i thought it’d be fun to make some kind of halloween themed request ESP after seeing the security breach one. anyways have a nice day!!! :DDD -galaxy

"Wow, little buddy..so does this mean we can only celebrate one or the other?"

He's joking, of course, but he finds it cool that your birthday also falls on Halloween.

Growing up, he never really celebrated either occasion himself....although that doesn't mean he can't celebrate them with you!

He gifts you your favorite sandwich (of course, it's what he does best) and sets up a picnic where you two hang out for most of the day.

By nightfall, you learn of a mass outbreak of ghost types and drag him around, trying to catch them all before dawn.

Although Mabosstiff has the clear type advantage should any of them wanna fight, Arven still gets spooked easily.

Especially as a mischievous Trevenant disguising itself as a normal tree scared the hell out of him.

Turns out you asked it to beforehand (with you promising to catch it should it succeed), and he's not amused in the slightest.

He doesn't stay mad forever, though. It IS your birthday, after all.

Nemona

Girl goes above and beyond tbh.

And by that, I mean she organizes a whole Halloween/birthday party for you in one of the classrooms (with the director's permission, ofc).

She got cute little outfits for her main Pokémon team and had them all surprise you when you walked through the door.

Honestly?

You expected nothing less from her.

So the rest of the day is filled with fun spooky activities that she (unwillingly) drags Arven and Penny into.

Her gift to you is a Dipplin!

Since it's like a candy apple and a super cool dragon type, she thought it was perfect (her connections in Kitakami came in handy this year).

She would def make sure to celebrate your birthday like this every year even after you all graduate.

Penny

She already knew long before you told her (girl does her research).

But she doesn't plan on making a huge deal out of it. Big celebrations were never really her thing, and you knew that too.

The most she'll do is send you a present and a card tied to her Umbreon (who shows up at your dorm in a cute little ghost outfit).

Team Star catches wind of your birthday being today and decides to throw together a little surprise-Halloween party, eventually convincing their leader to help them plan it out and get permission to use one of the old classrooms.

You love it, but poor Penny jumps like 10 feet into the air when everybody suddenly pops out wearing masks.

"Is this surprise party for you or for me?" You jokingly ask, although she just gives you an awkward smile before you all proceed with the festivities.

So when birthdays come around, how are they celebrated with Arven and Clavell?

I bet Arven would try to make an amazing lunch/dinner and a fantastic cake for his adopted dad.

But I also think they both would rather have a quiet celebration with just them. No crazy parties and fanfare.

Of course, when Nemona, Penny, and Riley come into the picture, Arven doesn’t really get a choice in opting out of a party.

For the first couple of years Arven's birthday is a bit of a taboo. The kind of day you don't know what to think of because of complicated situations, you know?

There is always the hope Sada will come out of that damned crater and actually be there for her son's birthday but it's always a call, a "I send you a gift, my Pokemon should be there in a minute" and an apology.

Clavell and Jacq, obviously, always tried to make something for him. A cake, some really cool gifts and a little trip somewhere fun. Arven appreciated, he really did, but he was always a bit tense. This would infuriate Clavell and really made him want to jump into Area Zero and drag Sada out of it but he always tried to look and sound quiet and happy.

As the years go by it becomes less and less upsetting.

They organize a dinner with Jacq, go somewhere around Paldea and they sometimes went to Kalos for a quick trip.

Once Arven started hanging out with Nemona, Riley and Penny, Clavell would organize actual parties (small, nothing much, but still fun) with Jacq and the kids' help. They try to keep it a secret but Clavell is a really bad liar and Arven always finds out. He doesn't mind, even if it's a bit embarrassing sometimes. It's still better than be alone with Mabostiff

For Clavell's birthday is way more simple. Arven would cook something, invites Jacq (and, later, Tyme, Nemona, Penny and Riley) and they would spend the evening together.

And then, one day, Arven said "You know what? Fuck it. This man raised me, cared about me like no one else did. I want to make something COOL."

And brought home the adoption papers :D

(it was Riley's idea. Started as a joke but Arven really went with it)

Clavell cried for the whole night, yes, but we love a softie old man

🎂Jacq 100% has an issue with forgetting things or being late, but not today! He had it marked on every calendar and was reminding himself the whole past week.

🎂He gets you a couple gifts, maybe 3 or 4, but that's not all. He literally took the day off work to spend the whole day with you!

🎂He would walk around with you at Mesagoza, take you shopping; honestly just spoil you for the day.

🎂If you wanted to go to another city (For example-) like Medali, he would call a Squakabilly taxi to come pick you two up and go there.

🎂Plus, he would get you tons of treats. In Medali, you would get ice cream, In Montenevera, he would get you sushi or a sandwich. Literally any city you visited you got something.

🎂It's honestly surprising what he was doing, it was so unexpected. He hadn't preluded to anything beforehand.

🎂He was so sweet, giving you tons of compliments and being very physical. Handholding, random kisses, lots of attention on you.

🎂I mean, what kind of person wouldn't? You're perfect! In the eyes of Jacq, you always are, but today's special.

🎂Finally, you go back to Mesagoza when the sun still had a little while to set.

🎂"Okay, so, I know you're probably a little tired... but let's go get one more thing, okay?" He sounded like a golden retriever, just so excited to go to another place for you.

🎂You laughed at him, happy to be with him no matter what you were doing.

🎂You walked down the monstrous steps of Uva/Naranja Academy and straight ahead. You knew exactly where you were going, it was the place you two had picked up food for your first date.

🎂You turned right and ordered your crepes, and sat down at a table to eat.

🎂"Te quiero." He told you while watching the sunset.

POKEVERSE HEADCANON DUMP

I still have Pokémon brainrot, and it’s given me a lot of ideas for Craig in his pkmn!verse. Not the most organized, but I’m just jotting things down as they come to me.

Craig’s yamper was given to him as a gift from his father on his tenth birthday. As a child, he was very shy and had a hard time connecting with others, and having a Pokémon of his own helped him come out of his shell a bit.

While Craig can battle decently enough when needed, he doesn’t particularly enjoy it. He is pacifistic and dislikes using violence to solve problems, even against people who are antagonistic towards him.

However, if a Pokémon he’s working with expresses a desire to battle, he’ll do what he can to accommodate them. Enrichment comes in many forms, and for some Pokémon, battling is an important part of keeping them stimulated and happy.

Though not a strong battler, Craig is a skilled Pokémon Photographer! In fact, several of the photos featured in Professor Jacq’s pokédex app were taken by himself, as part of a school project.

Prior to attending Uva Academy, Craig didn’t have much direction in his life. He never really attempted to do anything for himself, and always did things for other people out of a need to be useful. Professor Jacq seeing value in his photographs instilled within him with a new sense of purpose, and he made it his goal to take a picture of every single Pokémon.

Craig’s family goes on a two-week long holiday to a different region every year. So far, he has visited Alola, Kalos, Unova, and Johto.

His favorite childhood toy is a wooloo plush his uncle won for him at a carnival when he was a kid. Even though it’s a little childish, he still takes it with him whenever he’s going to be away from home for a long time. The push's name is Lulu.

Craig’s yamper doesn’t like being in her pokeball much, so he lets her roam freely outside of it most of the time. The only exception is when they’re travelling somewhere that requires Pokémon to be kept in their pokeballs. But he lets her back out as soon as he’s able to.

Craig always has berries and other snacks on him, ones that are suitable for both people and Pokémon. Because hey, you never know!

If given the right nudge, Craig would probably enjoy contests. At least casually. It gives Pokémon a chance to show off their moves without actually battling!

Adam Parrish’s 19th birthday (the summer of the Opal story) headcanons:

Adam genuinely forgets it’s his birthday at first

Until he comes downstairs and Ronan’s making breakfast and arguing with Opal, who wants to decorate them with grass and rocks and stuff

Opal made him a card with a family picture drawn in crayon and overloaded with stickers. Like every sticker she could find. Even the ones that come on fruit.

Gansey, Blue, and Henry video call and sing to him. It turns out they’d shipped his present -- a collection of little knickknacks and things that made them think of Adam throughout their trip -- and Ronan had hidden it until then

Matthew and Declan come by later. Matthew and Opal made him a cake decorated with his name and everything on it (and pointedly no grass and no rocks). It’s the first time Adam’s ever had a real homemade birthday cake. He’s very touched.

Declan’s gift is something that seems very pretentious and snobby (dress shoes or a tie or pocket squares, something like that) but it’s actually something Adam needed for Harvard. He genuinely appreciates it and makes sure Declan knows, despite Ronan’s heckling. He and Declan have some kind of silent mutual agreement/alliance and it’s reinforced with Declan’s subtly thoughtful gift

Ronan’s present is a proper case for his tarot cards (the original paper box had fallen apart and he’d been keeping them rubberbanded). As soon as Adam touches it, he knows it’s laced with both dream magic and love and he doesn’t point it out, but he and Ronan share a look that might as well say as much. It’s waterproof, heatproof, everything-proof. It’s leather and has Adam’s monogram embossed it so it blends in with his Harvard stuff.

When Declan and Matthew head out and Opal goes to bed, Ronan takes Adam out to the Barns where they had their first real Moment. They climb to the loft and throw down a blanket and stare at the stars. Ronan kisses him and they stay up there for hours, just talking about everything and nothing all at once. They accidentally fall asleep there, curled around each other
