for the past few months, you and matt have been acting a bit differently on camera. normally, the two of you make an effort to stay decently apart so none of the his fans will notice that you're dating.

you've been friends with the triplets since middle school and you show up in their videos all the time. but last summer, matt finally asked you to be his girlfriend. you guys agreed to keep your relationship off the internet and since then, you two have been trying your absolute best to avoid eachother while on camera.

but it's harder than it sounds to keep a distance from the one you love. all you want to do it hold his hand, rest your head on his shoudler, or hug him. but you can't. and it drives you fucking crazy.

this morning, nick texted you and asked if you wanted to come over to film a baking video with them. seeing as you had nothing better to do, you happily agreed.

nick explained that you would be the one blindfolded. he and his brothers would be normal — able to speak, see, and hear freely. you were a bit nervous at first, knowing how horrible you are at baking. but you still agreed to film the video because you know their fans have been begging for you to participate in one of their cooking videos for years.

you're currently in the kitchen with matt as he sets out all the ingredients that will be used. across the room, nick is setting up the camera so you guys can film in a few minutes. chris is in his bedroom, searching for the bandana he set out for you.

"got it!" chris shouts excitedly as he rushes into the kitchen, waving the hot pink bandana around in the air.

you laugh at the sight of its bright colors before asking, "why the hell did you casually had that laying around your room?"

"don't worry about it." he responds, trying to be mysterious and dramatic.

he hands the bandana to you and you place it over your eyes. you wrap it around your head and end up fumbling with the ends of it, unable to tie it blindly. you sigh with annoyance but continue to struggle, too determined to ask for help.

suddenly you feel someone place their hands on top of yours. you immediately recognize them to be matt's. his fingertips are cold but his palms are warm, causing chills to wash over your skin like an ocean wave.

"you don't need to be so independent all the time," he tells you softly. "it's okay to ask for help every once in a while."

you feel his hands leave yours — meaning the bandana is tied. you turn around and blindly reach your hands up to find his face. you feel your hands graze his jaw and you smile, feeling the stubble of his beard brush against your skin.

you tip your head up and reach to kiss him. however, seeing as you can't see, you end up missing his mouth and kissing the corner of his lips. you feel his mouth pull upward with a smile before he moves his head to the side so you can kiss him correctly.

"i need to make this worth it." he says against your mouth. he pulls away to speak, but you lean forward to chase his lips. "i won't be able to kiss you until after the video is finished."

"then quit wasting your time talking and kiss me." you say. you feel his chest shake with an airy chuckle before he places his hands on your hips and pulls you closer against him, reconnecting your mouths to kiss you again.

"guys, what the fuck?" you hear nick's voice call out from across the kitchen. "you've been making out for the past three minutes."

"yeah," chris's voice agrees. it sounds like he's standing in the doorway. "we were trying to be nice and let you have your moment, but you just won't stop kissing."

matt lets go of your hips with a sigh. "whatever, let's get this over with."

"woah, kid!" chris exclaims dramatically. you can hear his voice move and his footsteps get louder as he makes his way over to where you and matt are standing in front of the counter. "don't sound too excited."

as unbelievable as this sounds, matt doesn't actually hate filming. he actually loves making videos for his channel. if he didn't, he would not be doing it as a job. what he hates is being away from you.

he's the literal definition of clingy. and you're like the exhausted mom who has to put up with his tantrums whenever you're torn apart.

"okay, the camera is set up." nick announces. "i'm gonna start recording, so get your coupley-ness over with so we can film."

it's kind of crazy how casual it's become for everyone to work around yours and matt's secret relationship. his brothers respect your guys' decision to stay private and they help you guys hide it from the media. it genuinely means a lot to you to know how supportive chrtis and nick are — even though they like to make jokes and tease matt for his clinginess.

"hey guys!" nick says to the camera. “today, y/n is going to be blind baking some santa-shaped cookies since it’s almost christmas!”

you can hear nick walk over to where everyone else is standing. he continues to talk to the camera when you feel matt’s knuckles brush against the small of your back — where the camera can’t see.

you smile, enjoying the physical touch. but you know how risky it is for him to do things like that. if you start blushing or acting weird on camera, the fans will easily put the pieces together and realize what it means. so you shift a little, causing matt’s hand to fall off your back and back to his side.

"okay," you hear nick's voice say. you jump at how close he is now.

"oh my fuck, nick!" you shout, turning to glare at him — hoping you're looking in the right direction. "you scared the absolute shit out of me!"

"i'm not nick." chris says.

you turn in the opposite direction and tilt your head dramatically, waiting for nick to apologize for scaring you. but instead of an apology, you hear matt say "i'm not nick either. sorry."

you huff out a scoff and turn to the last remaining direction where nick could be. this time you were finally glaring at the correct triplet.

you hear matt laugh from beside you and your stomach twists into a knot.

since you can't see, the rest of your senses have been heightened — meaning you're hyperaware of the sound of your boyfriend's laugh. everything in you is tempted to kiss and hold him and tell him how much you love him.

but. you. cant.

"as i was saying," nick continues, "matt set out all the ingredients before we started recording. so, everything is on the counter in front of you, y/n."

you nod in response, happily beginning your task. the first portion of the video is calm and kind of relaxing. you listen to the triplets' commands as you grab and pour random things into random bowls. honestly, you've lost track of what step you're on. it feels like you're just going through the movements of baking cookies rather than actually cooking a meal.

chris and nick have no problem with holding your hands or wrists to point you in the right direction. but matt? he hasn't touched you at all. he still talks to you and helps out when it's needed, but you both know better than to touch.

due to matt's intense clinginess, it's safest to stay apart. if not, nick will end up cutting out a large portion of the video where matt has to be pried off of you (it's happened before).

"now, you need to put the cookie tray in the oven." nick tells you. from the sound of his voice, you can tell that he's reading instructions off the back of the cookie box. you hear him set the box on the counter before he continues. "while you do that, i'll put the dirty dishes in the sink; chris will clean the counters so you can decorate the cookies when they're done; and matt can make sure you don't catch the house on fire."

"alright." you agree with the plan. you reach forward to grab the tray of cookies. you pat thepalm of your hands on the countertop, trying to find the metal board. but you can't find it. "what the fuck?" you mutter, knowing it was just right here.

"right here," matt's voice murmers against the shell of your ear. he reaches over you, his chest pressed against your back. you hear the cookies slide agianst the counter before you feel the cool material of the tray touch your hands.

you clear your throat awkwardly, trying not to think about him too much. "thanks."

"mhm," he hums. as he stands up straight, the warmth of his chest leaves your back and you're left feeling cold and empty without his presence.

you mimick his actions by standing up straight. you then carry the tray in your hands as you walk around the island to where you know the stove is. you're about to set the tray down to open the oven, but you hear someone come up behind you. matt tells you to just hold still and he'll open it for you.

you do as he says and wait for him to open the oven door. when you hear it unlatch, you reach down to slide the tray onto the rack.

apparently, you miscalculated the distance between you and the oven. because just as you were going to set the tray down, you felt a sharp pain in the knuckles of your pinky finger.

"fuck!" you shout in pained breath before dropping the tray to the ground.

"what happened? are you okay? are you hurt?" matt rushes out a string of questions, immediately taking your hand into his. he twists and turns it, examining the injury.

"yeah, i'm fine." you tell him. "i shouldn't have dropped the tray like that, it was kinda dramatic."

you hear him sigh, "what did i tell you? it's okay to ask for help."

"i didn't think i needed it." you tell him, dropping your voice to a whisper as you tell him your next concern. "plus, you might wanna get away from me. we're still filming."

"fuck the video, y/n." he says, pulling you into a hug. he holds you against him, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head. "you mean way more to me than a bit of speculation."

A/N: I'm back bitches

- nomin are like a bonded pair of pets - you befriend one of them and just couldn't avoid befriending the other

- you're definitely the middle ground in this relationship, bc these two boys can be quite the opposite of one another

- being very open and accepting of jaemin's physical affection while understanding jeno's feelings and concerns through his gazes and jumbles of words is a massive feat but they absolute treasure you for it

- it means that jaemin can randomly give you hugs to feel comfort at the physical contact and not really say anything at times, allowing his nonverbal cues to communicate his intentions as his embrace is ever so gentle and his eyes ever so soft

- it also means that jeno can freely express his emotions and frustrations without judgement, gaining release from negative internal thoughts, and gets excited at the thought of catching up with you to ramble on about how his day went, regardless if it was enjoyable or utterly crap

- whether it be strolling around late at night or trying to encourage each other to hurry up in getting to a certain place, linking arms makes it just that lil bit better huehue :)

- until, you guys run into a doorframe and suddenly you're all turning 90 degrees like a blade on a fan to fit through sideways, not even bothering to think of unlinking arms

- your group chat is used mainly for memes and confirming deets on your next get-together

- oh, it also consists of jaemin writing in paragraphs about the most random things and jeno responding with 'k' while you try to respond as empathetically as possible to prevent jaemin from moving out of the dorm lmao

- aND, sometimes with jaemin ignoring jeno's questions followed by jeno sending some words that seem very vulgar but surprisingly none of which are profanities, all ending with the (.◜◡◝ ) emoji

- i'd imagine you guys would facetime on a regular basis, but the timing is always really odd and, more often than not, at least one of you are in a less than publicly decent situation

- most calls aren't even proper conversations - it's just you guys showing each other something cool and then quickly cutting off, or jaemin calling you to tell jeno to turn the lights off

- "jaemin, i swear, it's 4am" "exactly, that's why i need you to tell jeno to turn the lights off so i can sleep" "newSFLASH, I DON'T LIVE WITH Y'ALL"

- but yet, you call the gamer boy anyway

- and alas, gamer boy jeno didn't pick up as he was, as expected, gaming, leaving you to give up and ignore jaemin's calls

you don’t have to answer this if its too discoursey but i’m too afraid to say it off anon cause I don’t wanna get yelled at, but I am not the biggest fan of emperor/king Callum fics, mainly since it feels out of character for me (since he feels more connected to magic than he does royalty as a whole, he’s only the crown prince because he & Ez don’t have any family left to take up that role)

and also because to me, as a black person, it feels really weird that it just sidelines Ezran, they always just kill him off for no reason except to put the white person in a position of power

Its okay as a concept, i suppose, say Ezran feels like he can’t bear the responsibility at his age, so Callum takes up the mantle, but it just feels Weird to me, and maybe I’m reaching but it does feel like there’s a hint of racism going on even if its not exactly the author’s intention

So back in like 2020 in the months following S3, Regent Amaya became a popular headcanon in the Janaya corner of the fandom (because they wanted to have to interact Politically with Janai rather than just personally? I don't know) and it never sat right with me for similar reasons. (Cue people complaining in S4 that Janay's plotline was more Janai centric than Amaya centric. Mmhm.)

Because here's the thing (and I've said this before) while Callum is not white (he is mixed, he's half Asian and half white) he is lighter skinned than his brother and I do understand why people think he's white at first glance (more discussion/perspectives on Callum's race in this tag) and Ezran very clearly is not, and it's also very clear how that can affect them sometimes fandom wise. Of the five like main Main characters (although that list is 100% expanding in S4), Ezran is one of two main characters of colour (bonus core protagonist points alongside his brother) and he is the only darker skinned character of colour, comparatively in the trio.

There are other reasons I think as well about why Ezran doesn't have as much fandom made about him (he's the youngest in the cast, most of the fandom is older; he's not part of a main ship, etc) but race absolutely affects a lot of the critique he (and Harrow) get as kings. I have seen people with their full chest go "I hate TDP's monarchy, they're such bad kings Viren was right" because their issue isn't at its core the monarchy, it's that their white fave's bloodline wasn't the one on the throne for once.

Also talking about race is never discoursey IMO so always feel free to drop stuff in my inbox about it. (I'll happily take getting yelled at for it, it's way easier to bear as a white person & it doesn't happen as often as a result.)

Since 2016, we've seen this mini trend of casts having one Black character, usually a boy who's a best friend of the protagonist, get routinely sidelined. Lucas had to carry Stranger Things on his back (although I think it's gotten better? Idk for sure I stopped watching the show after s2 for unrelated reasons), Finn from Star Wars deserved so much better (and I left the SW fandom bc the racism was so bad and he was my favourite after just six months), Bow from She-Ra got virtually nothing, and Gus from The Owl House actually did.

TDP, thankfully, does not fall into that trend (having more than like 1-2 Black characters in general also helps a great deal, JC) and I now no longer watch every season like a hawk to ensure that it won't, because I trust that it won't.

So. King Callum AUs. The first thing is that you're right, Callum isn't that interested in politics. While he has a mind for politics (he immediately realizes what the egg could mean globally) he's not motivated by them. In 1x06 he gets pissed & fed up because Rayla insists on giving him only the political reasonings for why she's travelling with them and not stealing the egg, and it's not enough (he wants the personal reasons). His Tales of Xadia bio reaffirms this, stating outright that he's "beholden to [his] inner circle, not some silly kingdom" in spite of being Crown Prince. I think in some ways if Callum was left alone as King, regent Amaya would be more likely, not less, even if Callum might resist out of a grief fuelled desperate "I have to do this" at first. Being King is genuinely liberating for Ezran in ways it'll just never be for his brother, thematically / personality wise

And Callum being king because Ezran died is, IMO, unnecessary and actually more restrictive for both of their characters. If you want Callum grieving but away from the throne off adventuring with Rayla in an angsty AU, you can just have him think Ez is dead and achieve the same aims. If you want Callum on the throne, you can just have him do it out of love/loyalty for his baby brother. Otherwise, Ezran actually being dead leaves Callum solely grieving and stranded away from magic (his true calling, or the temptation of dark magic). But if Callum becomes regent to try and shield his baby brother, it leaves a lot more for them to grow, disagree on and develop, etc. Just a lot more avenues. How I think this would go (honouring Ezran's role to play and how I think their dynamic would realistically develop with this addition) here.

Being aware of what does or doesn't displace a character can be tricky, but I always think of it in regards to "do you take something another character has earned and give it to another character with little consequence," killing a character off when it wouldn't change that much to keep them alive and just tweak other things (like the above), or "are you taking the challenge one character has set before them and giving it unequivocally to another".

For example I've thought about "is my theory of Callum sacrificing/handing over the Key of Aaravos for Rayla's life displacing him" but it's not, in my eyes, bc 1) all the repercussions that come from that action is still something he has to deal with, 2) he'd have a vested interest and arc in reclaiming the cube, 3) it highlights the tragedy of Callum regaining his agency from brainwashing and still being forced into Aaravos' tragedy, 4) still leaves Callum perfectly free and motivated to uncover the secrets of the key himself beforehand, it just won't end well for him. And if Callum was having big conflicts with Ezran RN, I'd probably swap in Ez as a possibility for who he'd hand the key over for too

Last but not least I do wonder if Callum will even remain his brother's High Mage. The symbolism of a brother on either side of the Border has always felt fitting to me, and I think Claudia would make a great high mage to Ez if/when she gets redeemed / she'll want to stick close to her brother. Now that Callum has Ibis' staff, I wonder if that'll also eventually include having Ibis' post, especially now that Soren has stepped up in S4 to really be Ez's protector (and Cal and Ez would still write letters all the time, of course <3 Ez checking in on him through his link with Zym).

But yeah I think if Callum did continue to be in a political role beyond high mage, he'd be best suited to be one of Ezran's top generals, and that would take its own interesting toll on Ezran's psyche

Anyway this is probs longer than you were expecting but thank you for sharing your perspective! It's something I think the bulk of the fandom has noticed and it's always good to look at areas of like, perhaps more casual than outright racism when it comes to characters of colour, and how we have a responsiblity to examine those areas when exploring things, even just in fanon

For any of my super niche fans curious how MY boys interact with taxation (based off this), here you go, under the cut bc *why do I have so many posts about taxes right now I stg*

Skyloft: doing the paperwork for Gaepora and Zelda wrt taxes, what's getting built and who needs help. He's honestly super happy to have stuff he can do at home to help out

Minish: dear Hylia please do not come near him with numbers, he will have fits but he CAN happily keep the store rooms sorted and he loves working with wire and other metals. His grandfather handles their taxes.

Kokiri: he's spent a lot of time helping Nabooru and Ganondorf with taxation among the Gerudo prior to this. His main use to Zelda is as a Threat against Lords that aren't paying their taxes.

Outset: he could not care less about harbour dues, and the fact that Tetra avodis them isn't a bad thing. The disaster in Gamelon happened because of the norms about letting people inspect the hold, so he's acquired some of her avoidance since.

Chief: If the gods could spare him from writing another budget about how much tax money they need for the Royal Engineers, he'd die happy. Unfortunately, Chief Royal Engineer means that's his life now. He WILL judge you for not paying your taxes. He will judge you hard.

Ordon: Mayor Bo handles taxation for the village, and Ilia ensures their herds (and children) have been accounted for, and Ordon honestly doesn't give a damn past that and doesn't have to.

Four: His father isn't dying anytime soon, so his only crime against taxation is not actually showing up for duty in the military... But fortunately, Zelda likes him and frankly nobody wants the chaos that would ensue if he DID. It just can't make the absence legal.

Prince: Legally speaking he's still a soldier who owes service for another decade and a half, but marrying the Queen has certainly redefined what that service looks like. He spends a lot of time doing paperwork about taxes. Most of his time, in fact. He would prefer to never have to account for acreage of wheat again in his life.

Rabbit: His uncle is still handling their household and he's quite happy to leave it that way, thank you very much. No further comment needed, thanks.

Smith: Upon becoming an apprentice to the castle smith, rather than the village smith, he's got a lot less to worry about with regards to guild fees and so on. Technically he's done his apprenticeship and could work on his own but he enjoys learning and also enjoys not having to pay anything but the head tax so he's happy to stay working for someone else.

Ravio: Gods save him from the ravages of doing numbers on yield from different fields. Please. It's gotten better but that just means there's more numbers. What did he do to deserve this.

Far: He sometimes does the tax rounds of the villages he knows to collect tax money because they'll trust him to be honest about taking it where he says he will. He also occasionally goes and deals with people calling themselves tax collectors who aren't. Zo and Zelt are a little hesitant, but in pursuit of legitimacy it's helpful. Just don't ask him to do the numbers himself.

Hateno: He has the uneviable position of paying taxes in both Tarrey Town AND Hateno Village, because he won't relinquish living in Hateno just because Zelda moved Flowerblight into her house. But it does cost him, and he's annoyed by that. He's been bugged about the whole 'aren't you going to do labour' before and rapidly shut them down, because everyone knows he's the guy who you ask to fix the really intractable problems not the general ones. He's also gotten into the "What kind of tax do you want anyways, I've got gleeok bits?" negotiations.

ANYWAYS THANK YOU I WOULD LOVE TO!! I can’t say there was TOO much thought out into it so this is gonna be a huge ramble that doesn’t make much sense but I will happily oblige ( ´▽｀) For the bloomed cards obviously they don’t have much to do with the story. I just wanted an artist/photographer set between them bc I think it’s a cute idea !!

I’ve wanted a fine ryuseitai event for the longest time bc Yuzuru’s friendship with ryuseitai never leaves my mind,, in jingle bells he says he had fun hanging out with them and he enjoyed the hero show in supernova :D basically I only care about the most niche and silly interactions in this game. the opposite of how it was meant to be enjoyed but it’s the secret to being filled with joyful glee. ANYWAYS I thought a variety show for the starpro idols that has unlimited potential by means of the Tenshouin fund could be fun. Yuzuru obviously doesn’t like a ton of attention and is just there to support Tori and get it done with (I mean. Maybe there’s like some kind of fighting/laser tag round he gets really into but for the most part he still sees himself as the least deserving of attention in fine and doesn’t make any scenes). However, in the starpro trivia section of the show, Midori keeps answering question after question right about yuzuru/fine (bc I feel like he might know that little trivia) which either picks up attention with the fans who question what is going on (if the show is live) or eichi + wataru notice and like to impose mischievous little plans on yuzuru. I think that either way through the powers of being in charge of the direction of the show those two get midoyuzu paired up for a ton of the games (I considered making one of the cards a pictionary game and ended up deciding against it but I still think it’d be silly). When drawing the last unbloomed, I had in mind them getting matched up for a lie detector game where they get to ask each other questions/the audience gets to send in questions. I didn’t think too much about what happened afterwards to be completely honest with you but it’d probably get yuzuru really flustered being 1. The center of attention 2. Target of whatever Midori wants to ask and 3. Having to actually be completely and utterly honest. And he’s just begging him to ask normal easy questions which midori obliges bc he doesn’t like all this attention either but then some crazy audience question comes in and then the rest is up to imagination bc I don’t want to end up mischaracterizing them or looking more delusional than I already have in this public post! but it would definitely end with them revealing/admitting something to each other that brings them closer together :>>

sorry to make you read all that but also the starpro variety show is all i ever want ,, PLUS it could be so much fun outside of my mdyz visions too. Imagine chiakana in teamwork minigames OR TRICKSTAR hokke calls them all idiots but he’s the one that keeps making them lose all the games. Alkaloid in literally anything. your disdain for swifties transferring to Taylor is so real cuz i feel like that all the time and then start feeling guilty😭. Then I start getting annoyed bc they have the wonderful benefits of being a fan of taylor’s. the tour movie, great music, taylor being so successful that they’re able to lord it over fans of other artists. like some of them are such awful people that have been terrible to Joe for over 6 months now and it annoys me that they can just do that and go on happily with their day.

Hahahahah. It wasn’t always like this, though! Like, ten years ago being a Taylor fan was pretty horrible. Being an international fan was particularly bad, because I couldn’t meet her or see her in concert and yet I had to deal with people slutshaming her on Twitter and making fun of me for liking her. Right now swifties (myself included!) have it very good, but we kinda deserve it because we’ve “suffered” a lot in the past.

Now… another problem is that right now Taylor is so famous and untouchable that swifties just feel comfortable openly bullying anyone who doesn’t bow down to Taylor, whether it’s a singer who doesn’t compliment her or somebody who doesn’t show up at the eras tour, and that’s just bad.

Any Pokémon anime thoughts? Ik you haven’t watched all the series yet but I’d love to hear ur thoughts on what you think ash is up to since his anime series ended and idk general animeverse hcs. I remember you had an au abt ash opening a Pokémon sanctuary and I’d love to hear more abt it if you have more thoughts and ideas related to it

Btw what series have you watched or have knowledge abt outside of xy just for future ref bc I know u haven’t watched bw yet so I’ll hold off on my Burgundy rambling until you do so you can have some context.

Admittedly I have only watched a part of the very original series and a quarter of the XY series (Mainly because I've been watching Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal) So a lot of my knowledge of the series as whole is limited to what's fresh in my mind and whatever my brain death gripped from middle school. I'm working on it however! Honestly XY is your best bet to get convos about cause its my comfort generation but I think after XY I wanna watch Journeys or the SUMO anime (I like the artstyle)

But! I do have thoughts about where Ash and Co. are and what they're up too despite this.

I do remember talking about Ash either becoming a Professor or opening a sanctuary. Iirc it's because of how frequently Ash is willing to risk his life to save Pokémon. I stand by this idea. I think after he's satisfied with being a trainer taking on gyms and participating in Leagues he returns to Kanto to form a Sanctuary with the help of Sammy Oak, Brock, and Misty. (Unrelated but I wonder if Prof. Oak ever tells Ash that he was that kid he made friends with. I'm a huge Pokémon 4ever fan LOVED that movie as a kid).

I can see Ash calling his pals in other regions for help on this project. Some of his friends are specialists in certain Pokémon types or (Like in the case of Clermont and the aforementioned Brock) certain fields. Brock being a breeder can help Ash make habitats that are the best suited to house and rehabilitate Pokémon. Clemont could make Inventions that could both assist the Pokémon and/or the staff (by this point I'd like to think he's experience enough to keep most of his inventions from exploding prematurely).

I like to think that the goal of the sanctuary is rescuing Pokémon and rehabilitating them. Either to be released back into the wild, help with scientific studies, or to be adopted by trainers. We know that in the canon of the series there are abusive or negligent trainers as well as Pokémon that are difficult to raise or picky about the trainers they take too. I think Ash is the best at handling those kinds of Pokémon given his Charmander and his Froakie.

I can see the building being used like a trainer school. New trainers can attend classes to learn the basics of battling or even just Pokémon husbandry. There's a lot of little things to the world of Pokémon. What food is best for your partner, what berries help what conditions, what to pack for a journey, how to read a map, how to use your equipment, what to do in Pokémon encounters, ect. Maybe a retired professor oak teaches there. Maybe brock and Misty make special appearances to teach classes.

In my mind Bonnie is one of the first people to attend. Finally old enough to start her journey without her brothers supervision and eager to get started. Of course she's there with Dedenne her partner Pokémon and maybe a newly caught Pokémon pal (I think Clemont deserves to help bonnie with her very first official catch) that she excitedly shows Ash.

A retired rocket grunt James is hired there because lets be real James is also super compassionate towards Pokémon and if he doesn't get to live the rest of his life happily raising (and reclaiming his Pokémon from Giovanni) then I'm going to riot. I feel like that's one of his very first goals. rescuing Pokémon from Giovanni and finally reuniting with Growlie.

As for Jessie. I think she too is down to get her Pokémon back from Giovanni. But once that's settled I like to think she goes back to Kalos to continue performance. I always liked that she was a talented performer. And maybe even returns to studying nursing.

Meowth I don't think would like sticking around the Sanctuary all day despite how great of an asset he is given he's basically bilingual. So instead he ends up traveling with Bonnie and Max (the siblings of Ash's friends going on a journey together is the coolest idea to me). Meowth I think would enjoy the traveling. This time he doesn't have any evil plots to carry out and isnt 'blasting off again' every other day so this time he can really take it all in. He doesn't 'belong' to either kid but he's there to help keep them safe as they get a footing on traveling without their older siblings. Plus if the sanctuary needs him to play translator Ash or one of the staff can contact him he knows how to use a phone.

In a similar vein to Bonnie and Max travel companions I think Bonnie makes proper friends with Lyn (the girl who's bag got mixed up with hers). That's slightly unrelated but I love that episode.

I have a ton of thoughts about this Idea. Its not one that I think about often but when mentioned my brain runs wild and I can only imagine how far this pseudo Future au can expand as I see more characters

(Honorable mentions Because I love them but Trevor would become a professional Photographer, Shauna is a long standing Kalos Queen who's about to step down to try something new, and Tierno does successfully beat a league before switching his focus onto dancing but still battles for fun)

finished s&b season 2, random thoughts below (spoilers obviously)

THE CROWS but esp wylan bc he's my son and I love him

not the biggest fan of how they ended up combining the two series together, the crows definitely deserve much more than this, and also I kind of hate how they're just pulling things out of both six of crows and crooked kingdom randomly with no regard for how the scenes reflected the characters' arcs

kaz and jordie though? TRAUMATIZING

idk why they included jesper's mom in there either, it was fun seeing him using his powers but the books do SO much better at realistically handling him overcoming his feelings of guilt and fear over an extended period of time with support from people he loves, rather than him suddenly gaining clarity because of a poison trip hallucination

also the last ep handled everything weirdly imo, like inej already hunting down slavers when that makes no sense for what her arc was in the books, and right after the "how will you have me" scene too (still iconic though)

wesper should've gotten their slowburn, but I will still happily replay their scenes until I feel something because I'm still a sucker for wesper being couply even if their relationship was super rushed

thank god for kit and jack doing the "just girls" scene during promo because the show's effectively eliminated any chance of that <3

overall I just think the writers either didn't fully understand the crows' personalities and stories and picked whatever was most popular within the book's fandom, which, yeah, you have to do some fan service, but this has zero regard for what people who've read the books actually wanted, and while I did enjoy watching, I really would've preferred their stories getting handled with care (even if it meant less screentime)

also can we stop with the whole pulling shit out of our asses that have nothing to do with adapting the books faithfully and don't even contribute to the plot of the show thank you

enough about the crows ahjsgjkhfdhf let's move on to shadow and bone

still despise alina with either mal or the darkling, I'm sorry but they both do not deserve her and she had better chemistry with nikolai in five minutes than those two ever did

tolya and tamar were some of my favorites unsurprisingly, they're iconic and I would do anything for them (and tamar getting her sapphic love story oh my god)

I also loved alina's interactions with the crew and basically anyone who wasn't mal or the darkling, she's thriving this season and I'm glad she's becoming her own person

nikolai was so well portrayed, really hope he gets his king of scars arc and we get to see more of him, but I think they should've kept in the bit where he was basically a volcra for a while (probabaly got cut because of budget or smth but it added so much to his character)

why would they kill off david (I'm half-holding onto the show/movie logic of not seeing the body yet but STILL) it's way too early in the overall plot of the book series, and I can't enjoy the show when they pull things from different points in the timeline without any reasoning behind it, it's just lazy and stupid. also genya did not deserve this much suffering in one season istfg

I skipped most of the darkling's scenes because that man pisses me off so much, but ben barnes did a good job at adding depth to him after baghra's death

speaking of baghra she's an a+ character, no notes

that's it I guess? def forgot some thoughts that I might add later, but yeah this season was fun and I had a good time, there's just some huge issues with how they adapted the books to the show, and their handling of all of the characters

QOTS Rewatch - 5x10 - El Final

It's the end 😭😭😭😭😭 I can't believe it. Well, I still have my season 5 retrospective to do and then my FULL SERIES rankings hahaha so I'm not quite done yet, but this is the last episode. I can't believe it. I started this whole thing basically a year ago: I posted the first of my episode recaps on September 20, 2021. Now that I've rewatched the whole thing start to finish with so much attention to all the details along the way, I have a whole new appreciation for the show and our beloved characters.

I'm not going to do a whole big recap post for the finale; I did one back after it aired! But my few updated thoughts are below the cut :)

My feelings about it are pretty much the same now as they were back then. It is my least favorite episode of the season; we have known since season 4 when they tried to do a Pote-centric episode when Teresa was in the hospital that that format really doesn't work, it lags, Pote is too flat of a character and lacks vitality on screen. I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to do that again, for the finale no less.

But apparently there WERE sizable segments of the viewership who thought it was a huge unpredictable plot twist, and there ARE a lot of diehard Pote fans out there... so I guess the writers were catering to them. In some way that does satisfy me to know that. Like, as long as the ending landed as intended for some unknown segment of the audience, then that's fine. It's not how I would've ended it, and to give Teresa like 4 minutes of screentime in the finale of HER FREAKING SHOW is suuuuuuuch a weird choice to me. But complaining about that will get me nowhere so instead I'll put this to rest with this:

I FREAKING LOVE THAT TERESA GETS HER HAPPILY EVER AFTER. AND I FREAKING LOVE THAT SHE GETS IT WITH JAMES.

I don't care about Kote's happily ever after, I just don't, not one bit, but it literally feels bold for a show like this (an action/crime/drama show) to decide to end happily. I'm soooo here for it. And the fact that it ended like this means I get to relive it for the rest of my life lol. And I kid you not I will sometimes be going about my day and then I'm like "I wonder what Teresa's doing right now?" and I GET TO IMAGINE THAT BECAUSE SHE SURVIVED.

I just want to end this with the other things I appreciate about this episode:

the James Competence Showcase, including him sneakily evading Devon's hit man, getting shot, and still making it back to Texas in time to rescue Kelly Anne

how good James's hair looked while doing all of the above

the fact that Pote got to botch everything and get himself arrested so we got in our last laugh (I know he killed Boaz, whatever, idc)

Teresa leaving the waterfront property and all the money to build it out to Dumas 😭😭😭😭

and Dumas and Chicho walking off into the sunset together 😭😭😭😭 (I know, as business partners, but still)

Teresa's escape wig (who knew she could pull off blonde)

I love that Pote missed the first four years of his daughter's life bc it means hopefully she got seared into her the positive male role model of James rather than the sexist antiquated bs of Pote

I just. It still makes me so happy. All of it. Even getting to snark about Pote. And so even though 4/5ths of the episode annoys the shit out of me, in the end, it doesn't matter. My beloved Teresa got the life she deserves with the love of her life and that makes everything else worth it.

honestly, i have never been happier that he is leaving. how he acts as a person has always rubbed me the wrong way. i don't know what it is about him, but he does.

yup! i feel like there’s this misconception that the reason warren is so widely disliked is because he doesn’t like elliot, and while i won’t deny that that plays into it, he is genuinely just a dickhead. like for me first & foremost i don’t like his writing. when it’s not competing against itself to be the most offensive thing on tv it’s just hollow and heartless watered down performative #activism full of these speeches (usually from liv, because of course) that, let’s be real, sound like they’ve been written by an ai generator who just read the last 72 hours of news and now needs to perform a piece of shitty slam poetry about it (and it’s always presented as this uplifting groundbreaking ‘look at how progressive we’re being!’ thing when it is never any of that.) which is to say nothing of the ridiculous plot twists or his hard on for torturing liv. and i mean, i know svu isn’t a one man operation (and god knows 1.0 had issues too) so i won’t put all the blame on him, but like. his behaviour online is just as bad. he routinely ignores any genuine criticism and won’t address issues like the racism or the torture porn or how he had a convicted rapist on the show that one time or how more than one of his beloved “ripped from the headlines” stories have been called out by the real life victims they’re based on for re-traumatising them bc, of course, they were written without consent or any prior warning, but he’s more than willing to involve himself in the corners of the fandom and will happily do things like argue with 14 year old and queerbait for a laugh and post screenshots of fans w contrary opinions so his #diehards can go and bully him. and like, that’s just the tip of the fucking iceberg. so ya, it’s no surprise he rubbed you the wrong way. the widespread rejoice at his departure is both hilarious and deserved.

this fandom makes me feel so freaking guilty about being a Billy stan and shipping mungrove. I can literally make an entire book about all the tiktoks and posts I've seen about people bashing Billy stans because billy is racist and what not. (I am black myself) and honestly, I don't see anything wrong with billy yet people make me feel so guilty for liking his character. Don't even get me started on mungrove I really like the ship but people have called me disgusting for shipping it because billy wouldn't like eddie. i dont even know what to say anymore

Asahi was also really great #The pacing wasn't too bad considering season 3 and all #I really hope it has a good ending bc free is very important to me #I've been watching it since it first started airing and it was my first sports anime #it's just always been extremely dear to me. I've rewatched it many times #it's not that I really think kyoani would end it badly bc that's not really how they are. I just hope it'll be really well done and end #happily bc the show and the fans deserve that #it's really hard when a series you love so much (I can't remember the rest of the wording for this one and it's just making me mad because I #can't explain what I'm trying to say). Like what happened with season three and also (cough haikyuu season 3 cough).#At least the art is still good for free. and this movie still had a lot more good points than bad.#Sadly I'll probably get spoiled for the ending though I hope I'll be able to avoid spoilers. I doubt it'll come to a theater near me and #even if it did it wouldn't be easy for me to be able to go.#Luckily I managed to avoid spoilers for the most part for this movie until just a few days ago.#Hopefully part two will be put online soon after it's comes out. I'm looking forward to it #I'm sure there's more I want to say about the movie (and I'm sure there's more that was lost due to my lack of forethought and #fucking tumblr capping tags #sorry for all the swearing there was less originally but yeah #thank you to anyone who actually read all this #it was likely written better the first time. Yami | Fue | Zora (it's been awhile!) x F! reader

Kuroo | Bokuto x F! reader

Yami Sukehiro

You were both at a bar drinking together and this lady shows up and Yami says she used to work there that's how they know each other.

Bitch gave you that dirty look like you aren't allowed to be Yami's girl. She hardly even talked to you, just talking to Yami mostly like she was the girlfriend and you were the waitress.

Yami the wood-head was of course oblivious to the girl's advancements but thankfully he had his hands on you or around your chair. (or he'll be kneeling on the washing board when he gets home)

You ain't taking any shit from some other bitch. Hell, this man was yours to begin with anyway.

You sat closer to Yami, acting like you were a little cold. Your man had his huge biceps around your waist tight. Then you had your hand on Yami's huge thigh while you leaned your head on his chest.

Of course your man let you do whatever. He's a sucker for physical touches from you anyways, he's low key happy you're more touchy today than usual. (man thinks it's the alcohol you've consumed, but who knows)

You could see the girl scowling. You smiled at her with the most innocent face you could give.

Then she started being all rude and disrespectful. Using her sarcasm like, "oh? you're wearing too little, that's why honey. I'm not really that afraid of the cold."

And then she went "oh did you know Yami likes girls that can drink~" And she laughed like a little hyena and put her hand on Yami's forearm.

You slapped her hand away in a fit of anger. Of course she went acting like it was a big deal. You looked at Yami straight in the eye, "her over me or?"

Yami gave you a smirk and he pulled you onto his lap, "Sorry blondy, I don't even remember your name geez. But my girl wants you to get lost, she's possessive, sorry~"

"Me? Possessive? She was rude okay, Yami." you rolled your eyes at him after she left in a huff.

"Heh. I love it when you're like that baby~"

Fuegoleon Vermillion

This man had lots of suitors, ngl. But he made it very clear to all of them that he is already in a relationship.

But this vixen was just too stubborn to understand that he's happily taken.

She sent gifts to his office often, she sent home made bentos, cakes.

Thankfully your smart boyfriend gives them all away to his members. He doesn't accept gifts from other ladies that are making a move on him.

Once you and Fue were in the office, and somehow this crazy woman managed to sneak her way into his office. You were just chilling on his office sofa and he was at his desk but you were both shocked.

"Hello fue fue~ do you like the cake I sent today?" her voice sounded disgusting.

"Sorry I didn't have time to eat them." Fue cleared his throat, "but thank you for the kind gesture."

You rolled your eyes at your man from behind her. Fue knows that face. He's sweatin from under his robe.

"Who are you?" you suddenly asked her, casually sipping your tea.

"I'm his number 1 fan, who are you??" she gave you a menacing face. THE AUDACITY.

You stood up with the tea cup in your hand, your chin jutting a little higher than usual.

"Honey-" Fue tried to stop you but he didn't really dared to honestly.

"I'm HIS. Girlfriend" you said it slowly and clearly.

Bitch looked at you from head to toe, "you don't deserve it!"

It was the first time in your life you spilt tea in someone's face.

Girl was crying but thank god your boyfriend called security and dragged her crying ass out.

You sashayed to his desk and sat on it, putting one leg over the other and your hands propping your body up.

"Sorry you had to go through that honey,"

"you're not gonna nag at me for choosing violence?" you shot him your innocent face.

"you're really cute when you're jealous honey," he pursed his lips, trying not to laugh.

You rolled your eyes and was about to jump off his table when he pressed a kiss on your forehead.

Zora Ideale

This man absolutely does not care about anyone, let alone a girl hitting on him. He knows what they're doing, but he doesn't care. Even more so when he already has you.

But this particular bitch has been hitting on Zora and that red head doesn't seem to care.

She talks to Zora about spells and black magic and stuff and she loves standing way to close or have a hand on Zora's shoulders or back, it's insanely annoying.

"You Jealous baby?" Zora would raise his eyebrow when you confronted him privately, "but I ain't interested in her."

Too bad she just had to come look for him one day when you were around and already in an unpleasant mood.

"Zora~" she came looking for him at the black bulls' base. "Help me with a spell~"

"It's my day off, come back another day." Zora didn't even look at her while he was sitting on the couch beside you. You were playing card games together.

"Can I join?" She tried sitting beside Zora.

"No." you suddenly spoke up but before she could sit down.

"I didn't ask you~" she stuck her tongue out at you.

Zora chuckled as he shook his head.

"see?" she glared at you, "Zora agrees with me."

"No you idiot," Zora pulled one of his leg up, propping his elbow on it, "you're gonna get it from her."

You stood up and WHAM. you slapped her across the face. Zora gave a low whistle. This man just likes seeing the world burn sometimes.

She ran out from the base crying and you sat down with a huff.

This annoying masked man laid on your lap the moment you sat down, stretching his arms.

You crossed your arm looking at him with a glare, still upset.

"That's my girl~" he winked at you, "you're so cute, heh."

Kuroo Tetsurou

He does have his fair share of fan girls since he's the captain of Team Nekoma and all. But luckily, this man only has eyes for you.

The captain of the netball team has a fat crush on kuroo. Sent him love letters to his lockers, placed chocolates on his desk. It was painfully annoying.

But the mistake she made was coming up to you while you were hanging out with Kuroo and said "you and kuroo just do not match, you're pulling him down."

Bitch actually had the balls to say it to your face. Kuroo was about to speak up when you stood up and sat on his lap.

"Too bad he's crazy over me then."

Kuroo smirked as he leaned back in his chair, watching you go.

"You and him are a match then?" you questioned, "Who's the shameless one here?"

"You're the one throwing yourself all over him," her arms akimbo.

"Bitch please, get the picture right, we're an official couple. He chose me, I chose him, you're not even IN the picture SIS."

The classroom broke into cheers for you, She was so mad and embarrassed, she walked out of the classroom.

You propped your elbow on the table and sighed.

Kuroo wrapped his arms around your waist, "Jealous?"

This shit eating smirk made you roll your eyes. You wanted to stand up but the volleyball captain was fast, he pulled you closer and whispered, "I love it, kitten."

Leaving you mad blushing and smacking his chest.

Bokuto Koutarou

This oblivious boy had lots of suitors. He was the ace of Fukurodani afterall. Sometimes you even felt insecure, but your bubbly boyfriend would always reassure you that you're the only one in his heart.

Some fangirls would give you that dirty stare but you've already got used to it and learnt how to ignore them. After all, your boyfriend wouldn't care and he loves showing public display of affections to you.

Once a girl from the girls team had a crush on him but this boy had no idea. Silly boy thought they were good friends and nothing more. That's what he explained to you whenever you confront him.

Until she came up to confess to Bokuto.

Well, here's the thing, he always receives confession and you were more or less immune to it because your boyfriend would always reject them flatly.

But this time, you scoffed and went, "I told you so" and rolled your eyes.

And bitch told Bo to leave you for her.

You stared wide eyed at the situation in front of you but thankfully Bo went, "But I love y/n, why would I leave her for you!"

But you were not taking any more shit from this shameless bitch so you went up and stood in between them.

"Are you delusional to see that Bokuto and I are a couple?" you had your arms akimbo, "now, using my rights as his girlfriend, I'm asking you to stop pestering him or I'll slap you in the face, girl."

She quickly left, seeing that you may actually slap her across the face.

Your boyfriend looked at you with sparkles in his eyes.

"What?" you were still kinda pissed off.

"Baby owl! You're jealous!"

"And?"

"It means you REALLY REALLY love me, A WHOLE LOT!!" you swear his eyes were in heart shapes now.

"I always have, Mr Bokuto." you rolled your eyes at your dramatic boyfriend.

"ME TOO!!" he carried you and twirled you around excitedly.
