I feel like I've complained about Tim's email situation in Gotham Knights before (edit: I have), but the truth of it is just so funny.

He's signed up for so many podcasts, video game streamers, and random news alerts; it's just a constant barrage of data going straight into his constantly whirring brain. Hell, he even floats the idea of the Batfamily having their own podcast as a way to correct misinformation about them (which Jason shoots down instantly), and it's made me realize something.

Timothy Drake would be a YouTuber.

In this universe specifically, Timothy Jackson Drake, the heir to Drake Industries and the foster son of the late Bruce Wayne would be a YouTuber.

Think about it. It'd be the perfect cover. Who would ever suspect that some 16-year-old nepo baby with a YouTube channel could ever be Red Robin? You'd have to be mad. I mean, look at him.

Red Robin just dropped out of literal thin air and garotted someone four times his size, and you expect anyone to believe that's the same kid who does 24-hour Minecraft charity streams and occasionally drops 6-hour video essays (his last one was on Lex Luthor's illegal bit mining operation on the moon)?

i love when people make parallels between law and robin + their reaction to luffy.

here’s us, survivors of genocide, who’ve forfeit our right to future, hollowed out, waiting for death — but we’ll have our last dance before we go.

I give you: The Navigator’s Map of Shanties for the Weary Voyager!

So my husband got the idea to make a timeline map of my Shanks x Makino series ("Shanties" for short), so that readers could better see how the different fics are connected, and while I should have been prepared, knowing full well how brilliant he is, I was not prepared for the end result. I mean look at it!!!

Some descriptions of key fics and planned updates below! The fics are listed in the recommended reading order on AO3, but feel free to chart your own course! My hallway flooded because wall behind my shower wall is so rotten and the quality of vinyl “tile” is so trash that bumping my heel into the wall near the floor is enough force to punch a hole into the SHOWER WALL without even noticing.

lol watching bagh's pov of today, she was just hanging out with bad and the eggs when rubius and the others logged on, so she asked basically who is this guy??? and bad gave the vaguest most unhelpful answers, "oh he hasn't been on in ages", "you ever seen an angel or demon around? no? oh well", "it might be a little chaotic if we run into them so watch out", like. great first impression bad 👍

later when they were gonna meet up at the museum but rubius's group got sidetracked at the cinema, like the second baghera walked in minero started blasting, so she stayed out with the eggs for a bit. bad was like "ok. just go in, and look at the angel guy. he's just floating there" so she did, snuck in the side, saw him sitting and singing along with his song, went "yeah that sure is an angel. anyways" and left. they danced outside the theater for a bit, then wanted to really quickly brb to put leo to bed, but right as they teleported rubius just. logged off. when she met back up with bad their convo was pretty much "so that was an angel huh?" "yeah sometimes it just logs in. that or a demon." "huh cool." end of story.
