Ligeia, Thatcher, and Ezra
I decided to try my hand at digital for my characters. Still trying to decide if the scarecrow character looks good in gray or green.
Among my many projects I am currently working on an animated series that I want to make. It's about a 17- year old vampire girl named Ligeia it's just starting film college and is trying to live life as normally as a vampire could. her personality is like Carrie White and Wednesday Addams. She lives in an old apartment with two odd housemates. A scarecrow named Thatcher whom she brought a life by accident. He's inspired by the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. And a ghost by the name of Ezra Cauldwell who is also known as the lantern ghost and has a bit of a drinking problem. His character is inspired by the hat Box ghost. As for his lantern, if you look into the flaming eyes of the skull you burn the ashes. This was inspired by the story of Vasilisa the beautiful. This weird trio manages to get themselves in the weirdest situations possible. And they are anything but innocent. This show is basically a weird horror comedy, but it's meant to celebrate classic horror movies and monster tropes. I personally enjoy writing the stories and putting these characters into crazy situations. for my style I take inspiration from Guillermo del Toro and Tim Burton.
