A Song of Ice and Fashion
Tully Dresses
I wanted the Tully’s to have big voluminous sleeves, layered skirts, and tighter kirtles across the bodice, I also thought that they would keep most decor on their bodice. I included river embroidery and lots and lots of fish, including fish whose bodies are made from river stone.

my imagining of the tully girls, cat in blue and lysa in green :]]
i took most elements of their outfits from polish silesian traditional dresses, from the bytom region!!! i image they would only wear those costumes on rlly important occassions and usually wear much more casual wear, maybe more south (KL?) inspired :]]
im rlly hppy with this one !!

Hello bestie,
Now, I have to know your fashion choices. What would you wear to a tea party held in the Red Keep's gardens in hotd/asoiaf universe?
It is a nice sunny but cool day and you are sitting in shade so choose without restrictions! ❤
Your fashion bestie,
Mera
🙈🙈 thank you so much for this ask Meraaa💕
So I've come to realise I actually own a lot of blue in my closet, especially in lighter shades so I'd probably wear something similar because it's sunny and cool. I would also want to wear something flowy and breezy with long and airy sleeves much like the second and third picture, not exactly translucent though but just enough to be considered "court appropriate". I'd go with a squarish but slightly higher neckline and lots of embroidery around the bottom of the dress because I love heavy work, kind of like the first picture. Lastly for the accessories I'd wear a necklace, either pearl with matching earrings or pearl and gold. If not that then something like the sixth picture with a sapphire pendant because that would be like my staple, defining jewellery piece along with a couple of dainty rings.
That's about it. Thank you so much for asking lovely 💙💙

Do you know what HotD did right that GoT missed?
Earrings. Fucking. earrings.
Do you know how it fucking sent me that noone wore them? No One. Not even Cersei fucking Lannister, the wealthiest woman in Westeros.
I don't know why but this bothered me so much in GoT but I'm really glad they changed it

What kind of jewelry accessories that you think the Targ men from Hotd could (in that era) and should wear?
(Special emphasis on Aemond and Aegon 👀)
Oh I love this ask! So Im going to focus mostly on Aegon and Aemond here:
Generally I think the men in Hotd focuss on chains, brooches, coat and collar pins, rings and belts as accessories. You can see Otto wearing the chain of the Hand and the pin as part of his ootd, ( probably the longer one as we see criston wearing that in season 2)
Similar to Tyland Lannister who adorns himself in gold.
They'd mostly wear noble metals like that because of their status or something studded with a jewel significant to their house for example Daemon wearing what looks like a Valyrian steel ring here
For Aegon I think he'd wear chains with emeralds or plain gold.
A ring like the dragon scaled one here
And belts. The buckles could vary. You could have plain gold or ones with the three headed dragon insignia and once he becomes king kind of modified to his own sigil.
I think he'd focus a lot on Sunfyre and wearing gold that matches him, so you could see him with a brooch of sunfyre around a tower too to pay tribute to both sides of his family. (This would be similar to the show canon green and gold flag of his) or a combination like this (the sun, a dragon, a seven pointed star)
Another thing I could see him wearing or having when he was younger and more rebellious is a ear piercing. A single one, very out there and eye catching. TGC has talked bout how Aegon cut his hair because he despised having to live up to that "Targaryen image" so I can see him opting for styles which his family would definitely disapprove of when he was younger.
For Aemond.
I think he would keep it pretty simple. I think he takes pride in his appearance but also doesn't want to be flashy so he'd go for something that grabs your attention but doesn't distract from his abilities, kind of like a "you notice him for himself rather than what he's wearing" look.
If he forgoes the eyepatch then he'll probably only keep to the sapphire in his socket, otherwise his eyepatch could have fancier clasps at the back, mostly a flame or a three headed dragon, with a few gold buttons on the side.
I think he'd also generally prefer silver and Valyrian steel rather than gold. Since it's not a common metal that can be acquired easily he could use silver clasps and buttons on his clothes and eyepatches and match them to the other accessories in steel.
I don't think he'd wear rings personally, because it impedes grasping and movement but maybe a single one for occasions that is again tied to his roots, a three headed dragon or something of historical significance.
His main focus would definitely be on his belts apart from the eyepatches (I've linked a few here)
So the belts apart from being required to snatch that slender waist need to be ranging from holding daggers visible and hidden alike. He probably has weapons stashed for an emergency after losing his eye, so many holders, and many belts maybe 2-3. The outer could be for show and the rest could be utilitarian.
That's all I can come up with at the moment. Thank you so much for this ask Mera💕
