one of the weirdest things about pjo show criticism to me is how much of it is just based on people being Wrong about a series they claim to love. “The lotus scene was super exciting and meaningful” no it wasn’t. That’s from the movie. “Annabeth is too mean and too much of a know it all” yeah, that’s pretty much who she was for most of the original series. “They forgot how to SHOW not tell” bold words coming from people who love a book where 90% is Percy’s internal monologue telling readers what to think and the other 10% is Annabeth or Grover telling Percy what’s happening. “The pacing is bad!” Skill issue idk what to tell you.
people complaining about the lotus casino scene not being exciting 🤝 spider-man fans complaining that peter isn’t a nerdy dweeb bad with women 🤝 people who have internalized bad adaptations instead of the literal source material

i’m afraid of diving into good omens tumblr discourse but i just–i have to say
Aziraphale’s face. it’s. that is the expression of someone who does not want to be kissed, but knows it’s inevitable. though even more subtle than that, it’s the face of someone who does not want the thing to happen not because they don’t want it, but because they do, they really do, and yet it is not the way they wish it would be. Aziraphale knows something here. and he isn’t telling Crowley, nor us. he’s got some kind of higher pressure weighing down on him, forcing him to act against his nature and heart, forcing him to act against Crowley. he backs Crowley into a corner with his talk of joining Metatron in Heaven, and knows it. and that is what he wants, because that’s where he needs Crowley to be–away from him; but he pushes too strong, pushes Crowley to risk it all and end up cornering Aziraphale right back. all Aziraphale wanted, all he needed to do, was protect Crowley by breaking his heart and abandoning him, but you can’t undo 6,000 years of companionship without a miracle. it’s a failure.
whatever the Metatron told or did to Aziraphale that was hidden from us, it terrified him enough to make up a wobbly plan that could keep Crowley safe, if he would just go along with it. Aziraphale may have been strong enough, may have loved Crowley that much, to put his heart on the line and sacrifice himself if it meant Crowley could live on, but he underestimated Crowley’s love for him. underestimated Crowley’s courage and capacity for honesty.
the angel lied and the demon spoke his truth and everything crashed and failed.
and it is painful failure and remorse that i see on Aziraphale’s face.
it’s Please don’t ruin my attempt at saving you and Can’t you see what I’m trying to do and I’m sorry I’m breaking your heart but I have to if I want to keep you and To choose you I have to choose Heaven but I know you’re not seeing it that way and Crowley look at me I’m lying just go along and
Oh no, you believed me entirely too much, what have I done?
with the kiss, Crowley seals his fate as undeniably tied to Aziraphale’s. and Metatron will know.

I'm thinking about the fact that so many BBC Sherlock traumatised veterans ended up being huge fans of ofmd or good omens and I feel like. Nature is healing or something. Queerbaiting aside, Moffat and Gatiss were taking themselves sooo seriously like oh look at this very heterosexual dark genius and the fans were like "oh he's gay and autistic and in love with his best friend and he's smoll and cute" and that would piss them off so bad.
With ofmd and good omens it's so unapologetically silly and unserious and any interpretation could end up canon and everyone is cute and emotionally stupid and creators and fans are on the same vibe
Nature is truly healing

I'm still on hiatus, so this will likely be my last post for a while. I made some slime Laika's Comet emotes, and wanted to share em - they're free to use, I trust people will be respectable and credit when asked!
Idk I just make everything I like into goop and the furries are not immune.

Miss, it's time to go to bed.
Are you on your phone again?
Sleeping late will ruin your lovely skin.
This is the final warning.
If you don't fall asleep now,
We are going to dance.
- "잘자요 아가씨" by ASMRZ
found this song and i was possessed to draw @starriegalaxy's butler Eclipse dancing to it
(also i apologize in advance for my horrendous hiragana, hangul, and cursive)
Textless, effectless version under the cut!

one thing i want to make certain we are all clear on, as i see more and more theories coming out already in the wake of go2, is that you can love and enjoy many different theories- even contradictory ones!
i read one theory that made so much sense to me and i could see all of their points as laid out and i loved the idea of it and how it would come to be. and then i read a different theory that directly contradicted a lot of what was said in the theory i loved, and i loved this new theory too!! it was much more relaxed and didn’t have as many specific points to it, but it was fun and i could see it and i thought the idea of it was a joy!!!!
the good thing about theories is that we have no actual idea which one is true, so we can delve into all these different possibilities!!! and we can look at them and see the truth or possibility in all of them. and liking one theory doesn’t mean that you are only allowed to think this one is true!
so if you see me posting completely contradicting theories and saying “i fully believe in this” about both of them, there’s nothing wrong with that :)
