You know what's funny?

One of my uncles is named Nico.

And he named one of his daughters Bianca.

(Also funny, another daughter is named Iris 🌈. Her twin is named Ines)

It was foreseen for me to be a PJO fan 🤣

May is Iris season in my garden and it does a showy explosion of colors. Without fail I will see a rainbow in May. I guess it makes sense as Iris is the goddess of rainbows.

I spent many hours researching, writing, and creating original artwork to bring the goddess Iris to life in a way that was both informative and inspiring. And the best part?

I did it all myself!

I am incredibly proud of the final product and I can’t wait for you to see it.

in my heart of hearts mike wheeler is absolutely an athena kid but i also have to offer up a concept that i think has extreme comedic and dramatic potential aka: repressed gay teenager mike showing up at camp half blood unsure of who his godly parent is and feeling insecure about not having powers and one day when he’s making not-so-secret heart eyes at his best friend and son of apollo will byers is when a bunch of glowing floating hearts show up above his head. and that’s how mike gets claimed by none other than aphrodite, the goddess of love and sexuality, and is in full denial about it for three days because he thinks it’s some kind of sick and twisted JOKE

(on aphrodite’s end, she’s upset mike is throwing away the gift of true love and keeps trying to trick him out of repression by making more and more improbable and hilarious gifts appear when he and will are hanging out. mike hands will a book and it turns into a box of chocolates and he has to fling it away like a frisbee before will sees it. they’re having lunch and romantic music starts playing. she gives mike the same blessing she used to claim piper and will can’t even look in his direction for a full day because he starts blushing so hard. fifty bouquets of flowers show up at the apollo cabin’s doorstep with a note that says love, mike and by the end of it, mike isn’t even repressed and unsure about his sexuality anymore — he’s just trying to not throw himself into the bonfire out of sheer embarrassment)

Me: I am normal about the internal political structure of nations on fire emblem Awakening.

Also me: Okay, so from the village dialogue in chapter 8, we know that despite Grima being the main deity of worship, average plegians don't seem to like the Grimleal. Implying that the Grimleal are either weirdo fundies that no one really likes but they have an out sized influence on the government or Plegia is polytheistic and they worship gods related to their occupation and Grima is the god you worship if you're a dark mage or you want their blessing in war (god of destruction and all). Awakening characters do say Gods (plural) when they sware, meaning that multiple gods are consistent with Archneaian theology. Chrom’s father is stated to have labeled the Plegian people heathens likely because the Grimleal gained influence in whatever hierarchy rules Plegia. We know it's likely semi democratic because Gangrel supposedly worked his way up from being a street urchin to the position of king. Because it's stated to be a theocracy, it's likely similar to how catholics elected the pope via the collage of cardinals.

Where does it say that Iris sleeps under Hera’s throne to do her job quicker? That’s actually fucking hilarious.
