We've had an Operation Ivy CD playing in our car for weeks. I'm convinced that being a non Mormon in Utah and finding punk rock in the early 90s, specifically Lookout Records style punk, formed so much of my understanding of the world.

I'm a philosophy major drop out. I probably have a year left towards a degree. meh. who cares.

Tonight, in the car ride home I propose that maybe I would have stayed in school had I thought to write a thesis on ethics and Operation Ivy.

Ian B is playing a show tonight where there is the house cat hanging out on top of a video poker machine and a guy doing paintings of the bands as they play live.

I brought the vacuum cleaner upstairs to terrorize the cats to clean the mess the cats made of the scratch pad. The belt was broken so I left it up there and ordered a new one. When the new belt arrived I went up to grab the vacuum to bring it downstairs to replace the belt. The cats were sitting our bed and just putting my hand on the vacuum that had been stationary in our room sent Buffy running downstairs and Jack having a full on arched back hissing episode at a vacuum that wasn't even functional.

My friend posted this and I can't stop laughing to myself about it.

Super smart me carefully wrapped some seeds in moist paper and put them in the fridge to cold stratify but didn't label one tupperware container. I *think* it is dartura?

I explained how difficult it would be and also asked if they would expedite the shipping because it's coming from our secondary warehouse and I need the books by Friday. At least they got back to me on a Saturday?

If Ian B is not helping me haul zines and books to vending events, I'm helping him haul band equipment out of the basement and into shows. Today while he cleaned the stove and mopped the kitchen I took apart our vacuum to see if the reason it was broken was an easy fix like replacing the belt, and it is! I did not know you were supposed to replace them every 3-6 months.

Today I got an Ingram bool order with completely the wrong books like they had just switched two orders. While I'm happy to have Bell Hooks books, I'd rather have the books ordered to sell at the event in Washington next weekend. I also got the hoops for our garden that I plan to grow our cucumbers on.
