I’m honestly curious to know how you came across G/t and got into it
Wow ok this is pretty much the first time someone asks me about it djskdjs saying in advance that this will be a long answer.
It's not a interesting story though, it happened in a very casual way and it has always been related to me being extremely curious and captivated by G/t.
I think I can say I like G/t since I was a kid. I was about 6 or 7 years old when I had my first encounter with size difference. My parents were watching a comedy show on television and one of the sketches was about a giant cowboy (don't ask me why). I was watching it with them and when this sketch started I remember being completely fascinated by it. I was so dumbfounded that I kept asking my mom stuff like "Why is he so big? How did he got that big?", now I know that it was mostly me trying to understand why I was so interested in him being a giant.
I used to have these very tiny Polly Pocket dolls that were, like, 1 cm tall at best and I liked to pretend that I was a gentle giant and they were my friends. I had imaginary friends who were borrowers, I loved Clifford The Big Red Dog, Arthur and the Invisibles, The Ant Bully and essentially anything related to size difference had me completely curious, enchanted and OBSESSED with it.
I started to do drawings and stories with size difference characters since I was a little kid. I remember to spend hours daydreaming about a little girl who was very small and lived with a normal sized family, I had a lot of fun drawing her living in a world so much bigger than her.
Eventually I grew up and these things were left behind and forgotten in the middle of my pre teens, other interests appeared until it came a time where I barely remembered my fascination for size difference.
Until I found the G/t fandom on Tumblr.
I was 14 and I had just joined the Undertale fandom, I'd search and scroll through a lot of fanart on Tumblr. Then, out of nowhere, a drawing of G/t Fritz and Sans from rockonewjeans (who appears to no longer have an account here) popped up in the middle of the feed.
I still remember to this day looking at it and feeling all that nostalgic curiosity and fascination from when I was a child emerging to the surface again and being like "Oh my GOD wait- I remember that, I used to LOVE that... Wait there is a whole fandom about it????". Like, for real, I just felt super euphoric (see where I got the name now? haha) in a way I hadn't felt in a long time. I just suddently remembered how I used to find size difference so interesting since forever.
I spent the rest of the night scrolling through her blog and I learned that there was an ENTIRE fandom about it and stories and art and wow I was extremely amazed. After that I created my blog, started searching, reposting and following artists and writers, thus effectively joining this weird but special corner of the internet lol.
So essentially, I've liked it since I was a kid, I didn't know it was a fandom and a thing until I saw rocknewjeans art so it's basically her fault that this all happened LOL wish I could thank and blame her for it someday.
Sorry for the long answer, but I think it was worth the tale!

Plot idea Sans au x reader
One day when you were cleaning out your old drawer, you found your 2016 old fanart and fanfiction of you and sans being lovey dovely. you made this way back in middle school before you fell out of the fandom, man you were obsessed with this character and that alone made you cringed.
You laughed as you made fun of yourself inside your own mind, going through the drawings and writing. Cringing at every word mistake and not very detailed parts like first meeting then straight towards dating? Kid [name] really wanted to go to the part they wanted.
"Thank god, nobody had to see this dumpster fire."
Even though you hated your own old writing and drawings, you were charmed by it. It gave the embarrassing feeling yes, but also made you feel nostalgic..
So you grabbed a Black shoe box and threw in the "sansxreader" trash and stored it away inside your closet. Hoping to god that nobody can ever find it and be lost in time forever.
After you finished cleaning out your old dresser, you cleaned yourself up and went to bed, But before you could even settled into bed
you heard voices and groans from your closet.

The result of Goku's training with Shenlong when he flies off at the end of GT...? Goku using Shenlong's small amount of dragonly god ki? Why not both!
I started drawing this before the news about Toriyama's passing became public, so it feels kinda weird. Weird as in posting it in general, and posting it a couple days later.
I was inspired by a screenshot of one of those "what if" videos that showed Goku in a dragon form that was blue and purple with wings. I guess he was supposed to look like the evil smoke dragon? I went for a more traditional Shenlong-based look.
I wouldn't say my form(?) is a Goku/Shenlong fusion though. I'd dragon him up more if that were the case.
Anyway.
I used to watch GT a lot as a kid because i had easier access to it via DVDs (my rental store didn't have DBZ) and there were more reruns on. I watched DBGT more recently, and of course there are tons of problems. Pacing being the biggest imo. I think they didn't know what to do with the series.
But a lot of my early db fanart as a kid circled around GT and its ending. I think they stuck the landing there, although a little abrupt. Yet it's very precious to me. It had that mysterious air around it, and like the original DB og ending of Goku flying off with Chichi, or flying off with Uub at the end of Z, I think him flying off with Shenlong implies there were of course more adventures to be had for Goku.
Now that i think about it, that's kinda what Super was missing, huh... Of course he has Beerus and Whis' planet, but it ain't the same.
...Well. I wouldn't have written this all about this drawing if i wasn't waxing nostalgic about DB in general. And i know Toriyama wasn't involved in GT's writing, but it was nice to get this out of my system.

Genuine curiosity: what got you here? What decisions in your life lead you ended up having brainworms for this funky spinning top commercial series? /aff /lh
it all started when I was but a wee lad in the second grade and saw Beyblade Metal Fusion on Netflix. The first time I watched it, I actually watched the third episode first because it had wolf in the title and I was a wolf girl growing up. After that I became enamored with the show. Created the first version of Essi on ms paint with a mouse (may god rest her soul (she died with the rest of my old art on my family computer one day 😔)), rewatched it a couple times, at least one of which I imagined essi in like every scene in the show, and was effectively obsessed with it. I didn’t have the abilities to draw ship art at the time but I did become very kyomado pilled during this as well. I actually didn’t know there was more after Fusion because Netflix didn’t have any of it (or I just never bothered to look for it idk).
After that, a couple years went by, and I think around 5th grade I decided to revisit it, had a blast, redrew Essi, and I was happy to leave it at that but then I was talking about it with a guy on my bus and he was like “oh yeah I really liked it have you watched fury?” and I was like “THERES MORE??????” and so I went out in search of More. I watched like half of masters on YouTube, but I didn’t retain like any of it. genuinely the only reason I know I got as far in as I did is because the only parts of it I remember at all were yu being more prominent and hikaru’s ptsd breakdown, but besides that, literally NOTHING stuck with me. I also discovered the existence of shogun steel during this time period from seeing adult gingka on google but knew nothing more about it.
That was the last of beyblade endeavors until summer of 2021. after splatoon 3 had been announced that year it had me very nostalgic for things I was into when I was younger, which started with me ranting about splatoon 1 stages I missed on twitter, which then led to me thinking about sonic underground and trying to find where to watch it bc it wasn’t on Netflix anymore. in doing this, I downloaded Tubi and saw fusion on there and I was like “omg I forgot I was obsessed with that!” I then similarly ranted my fond memories about it on Twitter and i ended up dropping my sonic underground rewatch and watching that instead. That is when the snowball began to form. I looked up the watch order and was telling my friend about it and how I was trying to find something that had all the seasons (bc at the time Tubi had fusion and fury but not masters) and then he sent me a pirating website I could use and I was like HOLY SHIT. And then from there, I watched the whole series, got obsessed with it, starting drawing fanart on my own time and looking up fandom stuff online, and then upon realizing most of the active fandom was on tumblr, dusted off my tumblr account and made my first post, and from there it’s only gotten worse.

Coming Back
I don't know if anyone will ever read this, but I'm laying in my childhood bed while visiting my family for the Thanksgiving holiday and reminiscing about all the years and holidays I used to spend on this site over five years ago.
I used Tumblr religiously from 2012 to 2018ish. It was my first social media experience besides Facebook and I felt so free here because with Facebook obviously it was all people I knew in real life. I started off just using Tumblr just to find funny posts and cool pictures and things like that and then I discovered there was a Fandom for my favorite show; Teen Wolf. What's more there was a Fandom dedicated to the relationship between Derek and Stiles on that show (Sterek) and I immediately became immersed within it. I loved reading fanfic and seeing edits and all of the fanart, I found a place I felt I wouldn't be judged.
I started posting things about history too, because I have been a history buff my entire life. Things about Napoleon, the War of 1812 and Age of Sail, periods and topics that I loved and loved sharing. I made so many great friends and even some that led me to cross the ocean to meet them in person. There was a great community that called ourselves "The History Peeps" and loved sharing about our own personal favorite eras with each other.
But, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. I think a lot of us just grew up and moved on to other places and different things, the whole debacle of Yahoo buying this site and the NSFW ban obviously didn't help either. That community of History Peeps I think is long gone now, many of the blogs and usernames I remember have become deactivated, some people have sadly passed away leaving their blogs as the only memory I have of them, and... Gods... Do I miss so many people and things from this time in my life. I recognize I'm obviously wearing a thick pair of rose-colored glasses, but there was a whole life I lived on here through my late teens into my mid-twenties.
I've found some of the usernames and blogs from then, and to my surprise a lot of people I remember are still around and active. In my short time back I'm also so happy to see that other history nerds have come along to carry on the banner of some of my favorite era (First French Empire, Age of Sail, Early American Republic) and I hope I get to know some of you for as long as I stay this time.
I won't share my old usernames or anything (except if you directly ask me in private) but if you see this post and you remember the old times on here and want to reach out to me my inbox is always open. If this gets and shares or likes I am very grateful as well. I've decided to revive some of the old tags we used to make use of to see if anyone is out there who is also nostalgic for these times. Woohoo!! I finally have the next part of my comic ready (finally).
I can't even remember how long it's been since my last update (too long, I think).
I changed up Gene and Alexis' designs because I think it was high time for an update in their look. I'll always kind of be nostalgic for the original, digital designs, but I feel as if I've improved a lot as an artist since then.
Tumblr didn't feel like cooperating with me today, so I had to use a Google Drive link to show this off.
[ID]: Paper fanart of Gene from Bob's Burgers and Alexis, an OC. Alexis wears large, curved glasses, and has a tall and skinny frame with a skittish demeanor. A comic can be seen, with the first page consisting entirely of Alexis. They are sitting sideways in a chair with a concerned expression and thinking God, I hope Gene never finds out I wrote that note... I could never live down the embarrassment... Can you imagine what his reaction would be?
On Page Two, an imagine spot of Gene can be seen with an angry expression. He's saying, "Us? Together? Pfffft, maybe in an Alternate Universe. No way, Alexis." Then, in the next panel, the actual Gene can be seen trying to get Alexis' attention. He asks, "Alexis? Do you want to come over after school?" Alexis has a shocked expression on their face on the next panel, and says, "You actually want me to come over? Me? Are you sure?" Gene responds off-page, "Yes, silly!"
On Page Three, the last page, Gene can be seen again, a grin on his face and sporting a casual pose. He says, "My sisters really want to figure out who's been sending me random, secret, sweet notes in my locker. When we got back from lunch, we found another one. They think you're a good mystery solver." The next panel shows a note to back up Gene's claim, and it says: I hope you keep playing your music more than anything. ~Your Secret Admirer. The note is also adorned with music notes, and there's a heart after the words Your Secret Admirer. The next panel shows Gene and Alexis together in a side view, and Alexis says while blushing, "Wow, it could really be anyone." They are thinking at the same time: Oh my God. We're so close right now. Gene responds, "I know, right? That's why we need your help. Are you in?" The next panel shows just Alexis, still in a side view, and looking very nervous. They're thinking: Don't say yes, oh God, I can't go to his house yet. But at the same time, they say, "I... uh... I'd love to." Then they think: Dang it.

i just finished the en anniversary event and got so shocked seeing this picture on grim's vignette i had no idea this was official 🗿 literally stared at this card last month writing that christmas fic with the first years as motivation thinking: god this fanart looks so good it looks official HOW DUMB CAN I GET-
anyways happy anniversary to the twst en server!! really, it doesn't feel like a year has passed since downloading twisted wonderland and getting sucked into the rabbit hole it is, but damn. who knew me pre-downloading this little game on my phone would affect my life so much lmao
