I think this is going to be my hardest one yet to tell you about, she has had and continues to have such a big piece of my heart. When I first was convinced to read the Throne of Glass series I never knew what impact it would have on me, yet now that I’ve read it, I can’t remember how I lived without these lessons.

Aelin went through a crazy amount of things that shaped her into the amazing person and queen she becomes by the end of the series.

The things Aelin went thorough were so so real, something you can vividly see happening. Something you or a friend could have gone through. Aelin got me through a really really hard time, by waiting so long to read the series I ended up timing it where it made the most impact.

Magical or not, Aelin will always be someone I look up to and want to become.

No spoilers please (sorry in advance if this question makes that hard😅😂) for the record I’m new to this, and on Chapter 24 of Crown of Midnight.

My question/concern that I’m asking Yes/No (or I misread) is this: if Elena married a Havilliard, and is already a Galathynius, & started both lines; wouldn’t that make all Havilliard’s & Galathynius’s related? (Including Aelin & Dorian).

The reason I ask:

Without going into detail on what ACTUALLY is (I don’t want to know if Dorian is adopted, Aelin is actually someone else, etc.) I just have one question to understand a previous chapter properly and am going to phrase it in vague hypothetical ambiguity to help make non-spoiling easier.

When Dorian says: Brannon is Elena’s father, Elena marries the first King Havilliard, and that line leads to him. He also says Elena starts all Fae line’s including the Galathynius line.

He then says in another chapter if Aelin Galathynius had survived then he Dorian Havilliard may have married her.

… Perhaps this is a Percabeth “we’re all related” DON’T TALK ABOUT IT “84th cousins twice removed” situation?😂 … not to be THAT person but we do live in a post-Star Wars world😅😅

Okay so you know how we have this big multi dimensional war about to happen? My biggest (well second biggest) hesitation to have Aelin there is; control of her court.

Rhysand and Feyre have a chain of command that is clear and does not leave their court defenseless. Rhys+Feyre, then Amren, followed by Mor. So for them to leave their world and their court it go likely to Amren to take leadership due to her loss of powers in ACOWAR. (Though she is still highly skilled in battle and with her mind - however I have a feeling this war will be very power driven.) Basically The Night Court/Court of Nightmares will be fine, all the while letting the duo take their best, that are suites from the job, with them.

Now that brings me to Aelin, now do NOT get me wrong I want to see her. I wanna know how her life is going, if she’s making her losses have a meaning. How is the gang? But I am on the side to also say that she has been through more than her fair share - more than any of the others. We would be taking her out of the first time in her life she’s not fights, where she’s in control of her life. Mind you her powers are also diminished.

That said my worry is about the control of her court as well as Dorian’s in a way. Dorian less so cause he probably has a plan in place due to being the largest kingdom, it likely does not include our people but still.

Aelin on the other hand;

Aelin would go, she would probably feel like she has too. Rowan if Aelin goes so would he. That takes out both rulers of the kingdom. Then we have Aedion who would demand to go with his cousin, one cause he has leadership and fight training - plus he has The Bane. Fenrys and Lorcan I’m hesitant to say what they would do. Fenrys would probably want to go due to his connect with Aelin, as well as Rowan. Lorcan I would want to say would stay with Elide unless ordered other wise, I do think I’m staying would be a good idea so there is a fighter left back home to protect. Now that would likely leave Lysandra and Elide to stay - I want to note I think Lysandra would be a great asset in the fighting but I also think Aelin would leave her court to someone she trusts beyond all else. Lysandra and Elide could joint rule with some help from Lorcan. But that’s best case. Also Lysandra has Evangeline to think about.

Aelin could call in some of the people from the past, the ones who came to help in empire of storms and kingdom of ash

My best case idea for what should happen is that Dorian and Manon go, Aelin can help in strategies but leave the girl alone. I honestly think she might going into PTSD upon the sight of another god like war.

She would live. She would live, and they could all go to hell.

A better world. With no gods, no fates.

A world of their own making.
