Why I can't seem to finish the Six of Crows Duology

If you don't want spoilers look away - even just little ones

Six of Crows is one of those books I adore so so much but that I have a hard time continuing because of the ending - it's so impactful and jarring at times that every time I go, I need a mini break between books and then it's been two years so you reread the first one and guess what? the same thing happens. I love the book don't get me wrong, and I have solid knowledge I will love the second one but it just hasn't happened.

This headache is relentless. I wrote half of the first Whumpuary prompt and a little of The Dixon Chronicles’ next chapter before I just couldn’t take it anymore. I guess it’s bedtime for me even though I slept all day.

#i am feeling so ill rn for no reason and i need to shower and wash my hair so bad but i can tell if i do it rn it’ll make the #lightheadedness ten times worse and there is a nonzero chance i will just pass out in there 😭#best guess is bc my period started today and yeah the first two days suck but they’re not usually This bad #personal #also this is the last thing i need rn it’s tech week and all rehearsals lately have been going/are going to go till 10 pm and i have no tim #to do all my assignments and my probability prof assigned a lab today that’s due TMRW AT MIDNIGHT? <- we usually get a class period btwn #it being assigned and the deadline and he’s not even giving us until the next class period to do it now like why is it due at midnight #instead of noon the next day… also i have not one but two exams immediately following this weekend and i really want to see my family for #easter but that sounds like such a bad idea im so unproductive at home and i’ll be busier than usual when i go home on top of that bc easte #and one of the exams is circuits for which exams are worth 90% of our grade and im averaging a 74% at the moment which is NOT #promising and. I washed my face. I’m waiting for Murble to return so I can rush to the pharmacy and hopefully get my meds, one of which I need to take in the next few hours, the one that seems to have semi-effectively calmed my heart. Hope that’s the one they refilled. I’m nearing two months without a bucket incident. this will be my first outing in over a month. Will I get dangerously dizzy??? you'd think playing tons of tears of the kingdom would give me loz brainrot but no, something about link traversing hyrule alone has me back to my final fantasy crystal chronicles selkie and thinking about what her caravan would have initially looked like and how she might end up going it all alone in the end

rambling because I’m sick

the one good thing about being home sick is now i have a bunch of free time to write. i want to finish up this one request and maybe write a draft for the next chapter of my mass effect fanfic i’ve been neglecting.

i already started on the next chapter for tomorrow never came, but i’ve been putting so much energy into that and nothing else that i really should venture out and work on more. everyone is home today so i won’t be able to write uninterrupted which is annoying.

the bummer of missing work is depleting my sick time, so financially this sucks for the future, but i’m just glad i have enough to use.

These two, for me, are an amazing example of enemies to lovers. Especially cause they never stopped the banter and sass and everything. Yet when Cardan wasn’t himself, and the entire court was terrified and wouldn’t go in the room, Jude sat there with him. She was never afraid of him.

I want what they have in the lovers department (not as much the enemies because having enemies is just a lot of work.) Jude, even as a mortal could and would tear the entire realm apart for Cardan, and he would do the same. They saved each other - they are equals.
