The Queen of the Valkyries is surprisingly less formal than you had expected her to be. When Odin had recruited you from your mortal life to be one of the newest Valkyries to grace the gleaming halls of Asgard, you'd been more than honored.

You grew up a young fledgling hearing stories of them just waiting to take flight alongside them. They were the mistresses of war themselves, choosing who would go to Folkvangr or Valhalla - what a privilege! And here you were, chosen by Odin himself, to serve under his queen Freya.

You expected a lady of regal standing who had little time to work alongside those who she ruled over, but instead, you were faced with a goddess of true beauty. She was kind, and caring, witty and oh so sharp, but understood her power above you. She protected her sisters, and now that you were one of them, she protected you.

"Hold still," she chuckles, her voice sweet like honey and smoother than silk. "I know that it's a new sensation but it has to be done! I will not let a Valkyrie show themself with unpreened wings." Her fingers grip the special fish-bone comb, beak shaped for optimal usage, with a certain ease as she glides them through your long feathers.

She's gifted you the wings of a Tawny Eagle, something gorgeous in their own right. You adore them. It was a gift better than your wildest dreams. She had given you something truly beautiful.

"I don't know how you deal with these things," you playfully complain.

Freya laughs softly and shakes her head. "I have had my wings for centuries! You have only had them for a few months. In time, you will grow into them." She gently pats your shoulder as she continues to move the fish-bone comb through the tangled feathers on your back as the scent of the naturally sweet smelling oils they produce spread further across them. "They suit you well."

You smile softly at her maternal love shining through and nod. "If you say so," you reply as you stretch and fan your wings out a bit further for her, making the process just that much easier.

The dark haired goddess chuckles and nods. "I know so."

With a silly grin on your lips, you lean your head back slightly and relax, enjoying how her warm, gentle hands gingerly handle each individual feather. Though it's soft and barely audible, you can hear her humming. It's something old and ancient, whispers like the wind as it twirls between the trees, soft like moss, and smells like the earth after it's rained. Vanir, no doubt, and a sign of her growing love for you.

The stories about your appearance in the lives of the originals vampires are much discussed and contextualized. Some said you were a human who was kidnapped by them and forced to become part of their family. Others say they went mad and brought you into the vampire life as a way of redeeming the human lives taken. None of this is true, however. The true story is dated back to when they were still human and you were a close friend of the family and witnessed all the tragedies over a thousand years ago.

You, like them, were human. It was Rebekah, your closest friend at the time, who introduced you to the family and it didn't take long for you to become very close to her brothers, especially Henrik and Klaus. They have come to love you and treat you like part of the family. It didn't matter if you already had a family or not, you became part of theirs and they will not allow that to be changed.

You were very close to everyone, but you still didn't know their parents and that was on purpose. Klaus and Elijah in particular didn't want you to get close to his parents at all. They tried at all costs to keep you all to themselves, to the sibilings, but they couldn't hide you forever. In one night, you met Mikael and Esther Mikaelson.

It was a cold and restless night, you couldn't sleep and you left the ''room'' you shared with them. Since you didn't want to wake any of them, you got up carefully and left the small family hut. When you thought about it, you could still feel the freezing cold on your skin and the jump you gave when you heard the voice of a man very similar to your friends approaching you. It took a few seconds, but you recognized him as the Mikaelson patriarch.

Your heart leapt knowing who the man was and you didn't know what to do. You had already heard stories about him, how strict he was with his children, especially Niklaus. To your surprise, the man, Mikael, had been kind to you. A kindness you had never expected from someone like him and, feeling more at ease, you let your guard down and started talking to him. It didn't take long for him to introduce you to his wife, Esther, and they started to consider you their child and love you as their children loved you.

Everything was going well until tragedy struck the family and changed everything. When Klaus arrived with Henrik, dead, in his arms all chaos ensued. Your heart ached to see your friend, your brother, lifeless and Klaus in tears screaming for help. Everything changed the moment Mikael forced Esther to turn all of they children, including you, into something that couldn't be killed. And that's when everything fell apart, you were turned into an original vampire, unable to be killed in the traditional way. All of this was when the first vampires in history were created. Your family of overly overprotective, murderous vampires.

Mikael and Esther were the most dangerous and murderous about you. The family patriarchs are protective and demanding. Mikael is calculating and strict, but is shown to be caring and kind to you even after the transformation. There is no doubt who his favorite child is. Although he is proud, Mikael is devoted to you and is quite close, even if he can act aloof and mean. Esther is very loving to you and has come to adore you like her child, although she is a bad woman at times and a powerful witch, Esther used to be a present mother to you.

Niklaus is considered the worst of the sibilings, although there is some doubt about this. He is cruel, insensitive to the pain of others and considered a sociopath. And maybe all of that is true, but you never knew him that way. You've always known Klaus as a protective and caring brother, and even after Henrik's death, his discovery of being a hybrid, and everything that followed for centuries, he remained the same for you. Others saw the change in him and how possessive he became about you, but it didn't matter to you. He is cruel to everyone else but you. You are the only one besides him who has never had a dagger stuck in your chest and confined in a coffin for decades. Klaus enjoys your company immensely and is the most possessive of them all.

Elijah is the quietest of his siblings in his obsession with you, usually being portrayed as calm and methodical. He is very polite and formal and he usually expects the same from his family. Elijah is very soft for you and a true gentleman, he has made a promise to himself to care for and protect you since he met you and he does his best to honor that promise after centuries of existence. Being very overprotective, Elijah is almost always seen in your company accompanying you somewhere and throwing distinct looks at anyone who approaches you more than they should. Although he is very calm, Elijah is dangerous to anyone who threatens his family and ripping out hearts will be an act of mercy.

Kol is the most spoiled of the family and the most troubled of all. He likes to drag you into his messes and carnage, even if you don't like it, he'll make sure you learn to like it. Kol is unpredictable and a bombshell, ready to unleash his murderous fury on anyone who crosses him, who crosses you. He loves to spoil you and take you with him, if he can and has the chance, he will convince you to run away with him.

Rebekah is your best friend, your favorite sister, well, that's her delusion and what she likes to believe. Rebekah is problematic but not as much as her brother, she is romantic and is always by your side at parties or family gatherings. She loves to take you shopping with her and take you out for drinks. Rebekah is very needy for your attention, for your love, and will sulk if you don't give what she wants from you. She is kind and loving, always looking out for you and doing her best to please you, but she has an unbridled rage and jealousy inside her that will become easily visible if you don't spend time with her.

Freya is the most reliable of the entire family and the most selfless of all. She always puts you above all her petty and selfish desires, genuinely caring and loving you as she feels she should. She is very responsible and a great listener, and has a habit of scolding her siblings when they get too annoying. Her obsession is strong but controlled and Freya never shows her possessiveness, usually she handles these kind of feelings as calmly as possible. She doesn't want to scare you and secretly wants to be her favorite.

Finn is the least close to you, though not by choice. He's never had much of a chance to stay by his side, not with the other brothers doing their best to get him as far away from you as possible. Finn is subtle in his obsession and prefers to watch from afar and protect you like that, but given the chance, he will physically approach you.

The Mikaelson family has its many problems and divisions, which have only been made worse after meeting you, but one thing they all agree on is that you are their top priority and that you must be protected at all costs. Any love interests will be quickly and effectively killed, and friends who are not approved by them will be far from your life. You don't need anyone but your loving family, don't you agree?

They would hate to put you to sleep for a while, but they will if they feel it necessary. They all can disagree and fight, especially Klaus and Kol, but once you enter the story is when they unite and will do their best to keep you just theirs. You took a vow, remember? Always and forever. And they will make sure you fulfill the vow you made.

This couldn’t be real! This isn’t real, it’s all just a really bad realistic dream!

You had walked to the house after a day of school. Your day had actually been pretty good, and your last class had been canceled. You had been excited to get home, to relax, but your plan didn’t go as well as you had thought.

You had walked in to see blood, so much blood.

And the bodies, all the bodies on the floor in pools of blood.

And Kol..., someone that you had trusted for so long. Kol who had another dead corpse on his shoulder.

And Rebekah sitting in an old armchair without a care in the world. Like this was normal.

You were close to throwing up and you covered your mouth with your hand, scared of making a sound and having the siblings hear your presence.

You could barely hear their bickering. It felt like their voices came from far away. The blood, the bodies, all of it was too overwhelming.

You pressed your back against the wall, frozen in your place. You couldn’t stop yourself from throwing up all the day’s food to the floor.

No sounds could reach you, no you must have been heard.

“Oh, angel, what are you doing here? I thought you had another class! Are you okay? Are you feeling sick? Have you eaten anything spoiled or something?”

Rebekah’s questions might have been comforting if not for the fact that there was a pile of bodies in the other room.

Tears pricked in your eyes, and you pulled as far away from Rebekah’s touch as possible. It was too much...

The rest of the afternoon went in a haze. You yelled and screamed and fought, terrified of the siblings.

But at the end you lost the fight, tired while Kol held you in his arms you fell asleep exhausted.

Waking up back in your bed was like heaven came true from a nightmarish day. It all had been just a dream...

You took a deep breath only to be brought back to reality by the fact that your eyes were itchy and your throat dry. The moment of happiness was crushed in a second.

You jumped off of your bed and ran to the door. It was locked from the outside...

You wanted to scream, to curse the whole family and their stupid corpse pile.

But before you could start any of it the door unlocked, and Elijah came in.

“Elijah, what the hell is going on?” You asked, backing all the way to the bed.

“My siblings aren’t very well versed in hiding their nature, I must apologize for what you saw.”

The warm Elijah was nowhere in sight, the Elijah who had practically worked as a father figure for you.

“Elijah please, I don’t understand what’s going on,” Your words sounded more like a plea, but you couldn’t help it.

Elijah walked closer to me giving my forehead a gentle kiss.

“Do not worry, in a few days the vervain is out of your system, and everything will go back to normal...”

Headcanon: The fate had always been cruel to Merlin. The fate's main goal in creating Merlin was for him to make Albion great and to make Arthur ‘the once and future king’ with the power of magic.

So, the fate killed anyone who could have threatened Merlin's devotion or love for Arthur. Like Will, his attachment to his old life, Freya, the one he wished to ignore destiny for and run away with, or even Lancelot, whom he trusted the most, even more than Arthur at times. The fate cannot risk him loving anyone more than Authur, that would distract him from his duty. So it twisted his destiny, and made Arthur the only reason for Merlin to keep living.

But it backfired because Merlin grew to love Arthur more than Albion. The love prevented him from making the right decisions for Albion, because he always put Arthur first, even before his other duty, before Albion's greatness and the world. He denied his own magic or even his people, because he thought that was the best way to protect Arthur and to stay by his side. Because more than Emrys the Great who would lead Arthur to become the greatest king, he was just Merlin. Merlin who was stupidly loyal to Arthur and just wanted Arthur to be safe and happy, king or not.

In the end, the fate realised that Merlin would fail to unite Albion, and Camelot would eventually fall, partly because of his mistakes made by his twisted devotion and unbearable love for Arthur.

So, the fate took Arthur away from him as a punishment.

KRATOS likes to kiss your abdomen although he is a man who is fond of every part of your body. he doesn't know why he loves there so much to put lots of kisses but at the end of the day, he is amused by how you put his head on your abdomen, caressing his back while he is sitting on the floor. then, his hot breath hit your abdomen and when he sees your flushed face, he thinks it is better to show his love through the kisses he put on your bare abdomen.

THOR is a hand kisser lover because he tends to show the love he has for you with a gentle way contrary to his massive physical look. he is for sure so strong but when he is with you, he just becomes so naive and delicate towards you and he doesn't mean to harm you with his strength in any way. so, he prefers to kiss you gentle and on hands in order to show you how you are being the most important thing in his life. he puts many kisses on your hands, fingers and palms.

BALDUR likes to kiss, mostly, your lips even if he can't feel it. not feeling your body's warmth under his skin is something he carves for so long but he can't help it since it is a curse for him. however, he finds you as a cure because you make him want to kiss you so much even though there is no such feeling except those he feels on his chest. it is not something he faces before and he loves to have it, so, he chooses your lips to show his affection of you.

TYR is a gentle lover who wants you to feel like you are the most magnificent thing on entire realms he can across to. therefore, he loves to kiss everywhere of your body but if he has to chose a favorite one, he will pick your shoulders because he likes to kneel down to your level and put some kisses on your left and right shoulders while you are working on something. he thinks he helps you to get rid of the exhausting works and gives some relaxation. he is a thoughtful lover.

FREYA is a lip kisser because even though she tries to deny it, she likes to show her dominance side through the kisses you two share. however, she likes to be dominanted by you with your rough but lovely ones as well. she likes how her and your emotions flows within these rough but also gentle kisses. and she even likes to bite your lips from time to time with a mischievous smirk on her face.

FREYR is a man of love, affection and friendship. he is a god who enjoys seeing his lover being so loved by him. therefore, he doesn't try to hide any of his emotions even though he can be shy from time to time except intimate moments. he is likely to have your all face as favorite kiss point because he loves to hold it with his palms and put kisses from forehead to chin. he finds you so cute trying to escape from his hold, trying to hide your liking with a blushed face.

MORE All-Father!Kratos headcanons because, yes, i'm still obsessed.

* kratos, as a diplomat, is incredibly stern with his tone when it comes to negotiation. this is not just because of his spartan nature: it's because he feels the need to be straight forward with the terms and conditions, otherwise war would break out again.

* the dwarves, as a thank you for freeing them from odin's grasp, crafted kratos an armour set fit for a king. he noticed the huldra brothers full brand on it - sindri had also joined the collaboration. he cherishes the armour with his heart and soul while looking after it, just as he should of done with his previous armour in the beginning. he refuses to take advantage of sindri any longer.

* speaking of sindri, kratos had managed to actually converse with him about mourning a brother. they both came to an understanding and while sindri can never truly forgive and forget, kratos always has his door open to let sindri come and go.

* in kratos' main home, many individuals of power - such as freya and sif - come and go using the 'realm room' as it's the most convenient point to travel to and from. originally, kratos had minded but mimir managed to convince him to think otherwise.

* mimir is now officially considered kratos' right hand head and advisor. the people of the (now) 8 realms as 'the all-fathers ultimate guider', as they knew he had counselled kratos and positively influenced his decisions.

* while atreus does come and go, he does act as a sort of spokesman for the jötnar. kratos wants everyone to be at peace and refuses to have a bias towards anyone because atreus is his son. atreus has deep respect for his father because of that.

* kratos had asked freya to teach him some enchantments and spells to help him have more independence in each realm. freya accepted. safe to say, kratos learnt 'falki' and can turn into a falcon for faster travel. he does not abuse it. atreus shit himself when he say a dark brown and white falcon fly towards him when kratos visited jötunhiem.

* kratos had a statue build for faye, freyr and brok to show that they were honoured individuals who did their best for the cause. kratos managed to ask sindri for permission, in which he said yes. brok's statue is in svartalhiem in a private place for close friends.

* kratos has braids and gold in his beard thanks to angrboda braiding them every time she visits. he cannot bring himself to remove them, and ultimately rocks the look.

* he returned artifacts taken by odin that he did not deserve to keep. the people were thankful.

* kratos makes mushroom quiche for his staff and close friends every friday simply because he can.

* everytime atreus returns, kratos bear hugs him in private. atreus doesn't mind at all.

What would you rank most to least HC’s characters for jealousy?

Okay, so jealousy is a natural emotion, and of course, that being said, a little bit of jealousy is okay and can be healthy in a relationship when not being excessive and controlling. 🖤

Now onto our fictional boys. Gonna do a few that stand out IMO :)

I think that even though Walter may not show it, he would be the most jealous of the bunch. Something about his silence and cold demeanour makes me see him as a man who bottles up his emotions until he can't handle them anymore. He would probably never tell someone how he feels about them and let things seeth beneath the surface to the point of voracious jealousy.

Next! Sherlock is not very different from Walter (call it a curly detectives thing!) We know Sherlock is a man who doesn't want to be controlled by his emotions, but this sometimes causes the exact opposite, and he can get very jealous when he can't have what he wants... (might have written a drabble about that)

One of my favorite observations from this season of The Witcher is how Jaskier can adapt to different personas depending on the people he interacts with, all while remaining true to his core self.

When it comes to Yennefer, Jaskier becomes the confidant she can fully trust. Despite their limited interactions throughout the season, it is evident that Yennefer confides in him. In one particular scene from season two, Yennefer opens up to Jaskier about losing her magic. Instead of mocking her, Jaskier responds with nothing but empathy and compassion. This proves to Yennefer that she can trust him, even though they may bicker like siblings at times.

For Ciri, Jaskier takes on the role of the fun uncle. Their relationship is built on playful banter, mocking others like Geralt and Yennefer and enjoying card games together. But amid the playfulness, there are also tender moments where Jaskier encourages Ciri and sings her lullabies before bedtime. Their dynamic revolves around bringing smiles to each other's faces.

With Geralt, Jaskier is not only his best friend but also provides a dose of comic relief. Whenever they are together, Jaskier adopts a more goofy and lighthearted persona. This deliberate choice is because Jaskier knows that Geralt tends to brood and he wants to show him that there is still goodness in the world. Even when it seems that their friendship is questioned, Jaskier's quick offense is followed by a joke, indicating his unwavering loyalty and desire to lighten the mood.

In essence, Jaskier's ability to adapt his role based on the needs of the people around him showcases his emotional intelligence and understanding of their unique personalities. Yet, beneath these varying personas, he remains the same loyal and caring friend to each of them.

Sparring Match

PAIRING: Freya x Male Reader, Kratos/Heimdall/Thor/Baldur x Female Reader (Romantic) (Separate)

SUMMARY: (Y/N), their crush, beats them in a sparring match.

Freya loves sparring with you since she sees it as a time to bond and help train each other. However, you always lose to her. You say it’s because she was the Valkyrie Queen, but she says it’s just bad luck.

Eventually you’ve had enough and plan out how to win against Freya by confessing your feelings to her. You even got help from her brother, Freyr, who gave you advice on how to be a “man worthy of Freya’s love” as he put it.

In your next sparring match, you used Freya’s mutual crush on you to your advantage. Flirting with her, playfully teasing her, making her lower her guard. All so that you can win against her and ask to be her boyfriend. Safe to say, Freya didn’t complain about losing to you.

If you instead win with pure strength, strategy, and willpower, Freya will be very impressed and congratulate you for your victory.

Even if you’re on par with Kratos, he will still hold back. The Ghost of Sparta wouldn’t dare go full out against you. This doesn’t mean that he lets you win; he wants you to be able to protect yourself.

There are two ways you can win, and one of them is quite cruel. You could pretend to be hurt by one of Kratos’ punches. This will cause him to frantically look over you for any injuries, and it will be your moment to overpower him.

Another way is to seduce Kratos. You’re an attractive woman and Kratos is very much in love with you. If you play your cards right you could trick him in a nicer way to lowering his guard, effectively giving you a chance to win.

If you instead win without playing tricks Kratos will momentarily congratulate you and then suggest that he up the challenging combat.

Heimdall is an obstacle not just anybody can overcome. He won’t go easy on anyone, not even you. The only difference is that he’ll humor you and won’t actively try to kill you.

No trick can work on Heimdall. If you have to think, then he’s already seen it coming. He won’t even give you the handicap of not reading your mind. You could try and seduce him, but it’s less likely to work since it won’t be a spur of the moment action; You’re a beautiful woman, but you’re also a scheming one, and he’s already prepared for that.

The only possible way you could defeat him is by going blank. Act purely on instinct, clear your mind, and let your body do the fighting on its own. Even better if you’re capable of fighting with your eyes closed.

If you beat Heimdall either with this strategy or just by fighting like you usually do he’ll congratulate you, but he’ll be a bit upset if you didn’t even do the mind blank strategy. It’ll cause him to think he’s losing his touch and convince him to train even harder.

Thor is incredibly strong; He even posed a challenge for Kratos. There is no doubt that unless you’re incredibly strong yourself Thor will have to hold back against you.

He doesn’t really care for sparring, he’s always kind of just been strong. But he’d rather up his chances of you becoming his girlfriend by getting closer to you than losing you to someone else.

Thor doesn’t mind giving you as many handicaps as you want. The fact that you’re capable of at least holding your own up to him means you’re already able to protect yourself good enough.

If you do beat him he’d opt to celebrate with a fun outing, just you and him. He might also consider confessing afterwards; seeing you best him made Thor fall in love all over again.

If Baldur hasn’t been cured of his curse then you’re going to have to “kill” him in order for it to count, since he can’t feel anything. This is the handicap he gives you, which he will boldly state is because he loves you.

And if Baldur has been cured then all you need to do is win in a normal spar against him. However, in both of these situations you’d have to be really strong to take him since Baldur doesn’t really know his own strength.

This doesn’t mean that he won’t try his hardest to hold back though. He’d even give you some minutes to get as many hits as you want in. As he puts it, “I don’t want my lady to struggle against me.”

In the event that you do defeat Baldur, wether it was with the handicaps or none at all, curse or not, he’d be very impressed since he’s still quite strong. He will once again confess his love for you and go on and on about how strong you are.

• So if this happens before she casts her spell to protect her son...

• She will make an even worse mistake.

• You're so little and frail, so sweet and beautiful. A true gem to the realms, and the fruit of Baldurs light.

• So in order to protect you, she impulsively casts the spell over you instead of her son.

• She was ecstatic to be a grandmother, and to care for you whenever you're father would allow her to.

• She thought she was doing a good thing by casting her protection spell over you.

• But when she comes to realize the repercussions of her actions... The side affects the spell had on you.

• She felt horrible, and tried her best to keep it from Baldur, fearing he would keep you from her.

• That didn't last long, he knew you so well already, and the moment he realized you no longer cared to eat anything, though the lack of nourishment never seemed to harm you.

• And you no longer reacted when he blew raspberries onto your pudgy little tummy, something that used to put you into a fit of giggles so strong you often spit up a bit.

• He immediately sought out healers to make sure you were not ill.

• And when he learned it was magic... Vanir magic... He immediately turned to his mother, accusing her of all sorts of horrible things.

• She tried to defend herself, and tried to make him understand that she was only trying to protect you.

• But her pleas fell on deaf ears.

• In Baldur's eyes, she had betrayed him in the worst possible way, she had cursed his child, his only child.

• He would never forgive her for this, and if he were strong enough, he'd have killed her for it.

• Baldur's light grew dark, but never against you, his little shining star.

• And he swore that no matter what it took, he'd find a way to reverse this, even if that meant traveling to unknown worlds.

• Even if he had to fight dragons, trolls, giants, or ogres with his bare hands, or even burn worlds to ash and ruin, he'd find a way.

• You were still a babe when she was cast out, and you don't actually remember her, but you do remember the lullaby she used to hum to you.

| After the falling out |

• She never knew about you until Atreus mentioned the young god/goddess traveling with Baldur.

• She tried to subtly ask Atreus about you, and with how close he describes your relationship, she initially assumes you're a lover.

• Desperate to know more she scours Midgard for more answers, and is astonished to find you are in fact Baldur's child.

• She's hurt that she was never told about your birth, or that she was there to watch you grow.

• She's also honestly surprised Odin didn't rub the news in her face, considering everything else he's done to her.

• Now that she knows about you, she's desperate to meet you. Even so desperate to go to Mímir for advice on how she could cross paths with you.

• And eventually that time comes, and you meet her while scouting for your father. Which is probably ideal considering he'd freak out if he knew.

• You're admittedly confused when this strange woman begins talking to you as if she'd known you your whole life.

• "Look at how beautiful you've become." She beamed. "You have your father's eyes." Her own eyes glossed over.

• "Do I know you?" You questioned, your hand placed on the hilt of your sword, unsure if you could trust this woman.

• She notices your unease, and hold her hands up a little to show you she means no harm. "I'm afraid not, but I know you."

• "Who are you?" You demanded with a growing fire in your eyes, it's then she realizes you've inherited not only your father's rage and distrust, but his father's as well.

• "I am your grandmother Freya." She explains with a sad smile, wishing she could embrace you in a warm and reassuring hug.

• You scowl in return. "You're the reason my father suffers." You hiss with venom, and she wondered for a moment if you'd kill her for it.

• She bowed her head in shame, you'd probably never understand her side of the story, as your father had clearly ingrained his side into your mind.

• "You better hope father doesn't find you. He intends on killing you if he ever does." You warned before stalking away, vanishing before she could stop you.

• She felt even worse now, than she had when she first found out about you.

• Because now she had met you, and she knew you cared not for her, you didn't sympathize with her.

• You merely pitted her, and that hurt so much more, than if you had outright hatted her.
