$3 Udon Restaurant in Osaka | Low Budget Travel Japan | Japanese Noodlesoup
Welcome back to Osaka! In this video, we're exploring an authentic Udon restaurant located in Fukushima ward – Udon Sanku, where you can enjoy a delicious meal on a budget while experiencing the true flavors of Japan.

As you step into the restaurant, you'll notice a vending machine to purchase your meal tickets. Don't worry if it's all in Japanese; I'll provide a description of the vending machine in the comments below to help you navigate through the ordering process.
Once you have your tickets, head to the kitchen area, present them, and choose a seat to relax. Like in most Japanese restaurants, you'll find free water available for guests.
Next, listen closely as your order is called, and then head to the counter to pick up your bowl of Udon. Customize your dish with toppings like tempura flakes or chili powder (7 spices) according to your taste.
I opted for the basic version, topped with a raw egg and green onions, which cost only around $2-3. The noodles are delightfully thick and mouthwateringly delicious, complemented by a flavorful broth that perfectly matches the Udon.
Udon has a rich history, dating back over 1000 years, and it's interesting to note that Udon is more popular in western Japan, while Soba takes the lead in eastern Japan. Surprisingly, Udon and Somen share the same noodles, with the primary difference being their thickness – Somen being very thin and Udon, as we know it, being thick and hearty.
Once you finish your delightful meal, remember to return your plate to the kitchen and dispose of the one-time-use items yourself.
It's important to mention that the exit is separate from the entrance in this restaurant, so make sure to head in the right direction when you leave.

Salmon Dynamite Boat (delivery pack) from Maison de Sushi, Doha, Qatar. I give this 9 out of 10 and I recommend it because their salmon is the freshest I have eaten! Look how nice the color of the Salmon Nigiri. Also in the pack, crab sushi, crispy dynamite shrimps, salmon sushi. Yumm.

I just randomly got a modern-AU H/C where Yue is a food vlogger, and is also Autistic AF in the most endearing ways that get people hooked on her channel
like that royal demurity isn't an act nor was it forced on her, it's just how she naturally talks - even when she's ordering from a takeout counter, even if she wasn't raised in any sort of royal setting
her voice and how she makes her videos is so relaxing, it's like only one more level of energy than ASMR
but also she has major sensory issues with certain foods and simply cannot eat them even though she has no food allergies
she knows how to order and what to avoid for the most part, but every now and then something slips through that she can't eat
and when that happens her eyes widen with near-devastation, not because that food item is in there, but because she's worried about ruining the integrity of the dish if she picks it out
"Oh my goodness... I'm so sorry, everyone... I had no idea they put corn in here! I really hope I won't upset the dish if I pick it out... *picks it out with a sad smile* ah... I'm so sorry..."
and when she eats everything is so deliberate
she barely moves the whole time, never puts her head down, takes her time to very neatly organize a bite in her utensil of choice, sometimes slowly moving it around to shake off any loose bits, and then ever so gently brings it to her mouth
but she's so peaceful and content the whole time, you can tell this is her happy place
never accelerates or raises her voice no matter how much she's loving the food
any "negative" comments are always phrased as "I wish _____"
e.g. "I love how they spiced the meat, I just wish there was a bit more moisture."
she ends every video with "Thank you so much for being a part of my day. I hope we will meet again soon."
SO many people watch it to unwind or go to sleep
there's a running joke among her fan base that she's a literal angel disguised as a human

Today has felt like the first true spring day and I was not ready for the huge surge of dopamine from the sunshine! Nevertheless, it powered me through and for that I am grateful.
Unfortunately, the cold I caught from my mother lingers but I was all too happy to begin my morning with half a teaspoon of honey to appease my claggy throat. I then welcomed in the morning with a creamy cup of tea with soya milk and researched coding courses until my empty teacup obliged me to get on with my half hour power flow with ‘Yoga with Allie Van Fossen’ on YouTube - a recent and golden find. After that, I showered with my ‘toasted marshmallow’ shower gel and put on a burgundy dress without fear of the cold. I made a breakfast I crave every time I see a ‘that girl’ post online - scrambled eggs on avocado toast - and felt in total bliss while I munched. I then completed half of my number theory exercises while digesting.
Mum and I had fun while grocery shopping this morning and we rounded off the trip with a coconut latte - the caffeine buzz strengthened while I was putting the shopping away until it was undeniably charged and ready for a jog. I haven’t been jogging while it has been cold but this is feeling so good. I need to remember that If We Ever Meet Again by Katy Perry and Timberland is a great song to run to.
Coming home, I did some strength work organised by a beginners workout plan I found on pinterest and had to stop for a second because I was getting so lost in the moment and probably not showing good form. Thankfully, I had a conversation with my brother and afterwards calmed down tremendously... and we did a few squats together. Timmon, you’re the best.
By the time I’d finished, my butternut squash was ready so I made a salad of that and accompanied it with a blueberry cheesecake smoothie using some powder from The Protein Works. It was quite tangy and grainy - if anyone has any suggestions to improve this, I’d be forever grateful.
Following this, I finished number theory and wrote up one of the homework questions but this took a while and afterwards I felt rather drained. I had just enough time to do a 15 minute yoga sequence from Yoga With Kassandra (which was supposed to be for bedtime but was the perfect remedy for my hunched shoulders and reeling mind) before my mum returned from her long afternoon. I was proud of my mum when she said that she still wanted to go for a walk with our dogs to enjoy the beautiful evening. 
After that, I cooked. I should have definitely taken a picture before I started munching but whoops... I should have definitely cooked the cod loin with more seasoning and for slightly less time but the baby corn and potatoes really pleased me. I don’t know why I rustled a cup of strawberries, mango, and vanilla ice cream up afterwards... If there was one thing which would improve today, it would be to eliminate the dessert and have a hug from my boyfriend but here I am without boyfriend and containing fruit... I did do some logic puzzles and write this post, though, and I am about to do some prebed skincare so life goes on.
