Here are a few things you should avoid in your first chapter!
• Slow opening. This gets the reader nowhere and won’t want to encourage them to keep reading.
• Cliché opening. Please don’t have your main character (MC) stand in front of a mirror and describe themselves from head to toe…
• Info-dumping. Reading every detail about the world you’ve created or even about a character isn’t exciting. Don’t toss readers every bit of information. Instead, sprinkle it in.
• No clear POV character. Don’t confuse readers by not establishing the narrator/who they’re reading from.

Ich: Fänge rein oder die Rolläden klemmen bei Sonnenaufgang!
Zack - Ruhe. Man muss eben nur mit den überzeugenden Argumenten kommen.

"Overcoming Writer's Block: A (Mostly) True Tale of Triumph, Tears, and Typing"
Writing a book is tough work, especially when you hit the dreaded writer's block. I've been there more times than I care to admit - staring at a blank page, waiting for inspiration to strike, and ending up with nothing but a headache.
But recently, I had a breakthrough that helped me finally come up with a new chapter of my novel, without losing my mind in the process. It all started when I realised that I was putting too much pressure on myself to write the perfect first draft. I mean, come on, who am I kidding? Nobody writes a perfect first draft, except maybe Brandon Sanderson or Nicolas Sparks, if you know what I mean.
So I decided to give myself a break and just write without worrying about whether it was good or not. I mean, it couldn't be worse than the last chapter of Game of Thrones, right? (Sorry, George R. R. Martin.) And you know what? It worked! My ideas became clearer and the words flowed more easily, and I finally wrote something digestible and satisfying.
So if you're struggling with writer's block, my advice is simple: don't take yourself too seriously. Give yourself permission to write a crappy first draft, with the understanding that you can always go back and fix it later. And if all else fails, just take a break and binge-watch some Netflix or anime. It worked for me, and it could work for you too (just don't blame me if you end up getting hooked on Wednesday or Attack on titan).
Writing a book is a tough journey, but it's worth it in the end. Just remember to have fun along the way - after all, if you're not enjoying the process, what's the point?

I want to wax
I want to wax,
like the moon.
Grow,
and give off an increasing light,
with each coming night.
But all I do is wane.
I shrink.
Until the hole inside of me,
is most of what I am.
And the tissue and flesh,
that I have left,
Is just a decorative border
on this otherwise
lifeless frame.

Inxieriea
Amongst us and in heads of state there has been a secret race of mankind that is capable of taking the form of specific breeds of canines, felines, and avians. They have been second-class people who have tolerated living in the shadows alongside creatures that were dead and lived off the blood of humans or animals.
They, the Inxieriea united by what they're capable of tolerating one another most times agreeing to an age-old belief that it's better we humans believed their existence remained in the realm of fiction, movies, myth, and folklore. Until recently when the heretic Pharaoh awoke and decimated his family tree threatening the lives of all the animals - the shifters within shocked the Inxieriea community.
Their secret is at risk as we, The Outsiders begin to look into the shadows around us. Do the Inxieriea come together to combat Akhenaten, one of the Firsts or do they trust his grandchild who's had her own sort of trouble within the community? Can the Shifters trust the vampires to remain aligned with them to remain in the shadows or is this leading up to one grand exposure of all of them in the growing digital age that they can't convince the Outsiders it's nothing more than smoke and mirrors.

Start editing for character name/description reasons... find one glitch in world building and a few dozen spots where I can clean up the writing from being a bit over the top.
I'm guess it's a good sign that this hasn't made me want to just burn the whole document at this point.

Those can do and those who are in the process of acting tell people what they are doing in hopes of learning from the conversation started.
Since I am in the middle of slowly writing my books as I keep getting more and more ideas in my head and that slows me down, I decided to instead go the route of other authors in the making I have seen: making writing advice to help focus my mind.
This apparently somehow makes them focus and make them release books after like 200 posts like that and I have around five posts down…so getting there.
So here is my completed unsolicited advice because I know you need it.

First line of the original draft VS the first line in the final edits. Original first line: The camera pans over the estate. Final first line: Thunder crackled in the distance as the trees whipped back and forth, dancing to a secret rhythm only they could hear. Though the idea behind the first chapter, the book itself, remained the same, this weird little novel changed a lot witthh time, experience, and effort.
