Summary: The Blue Lions react to you catching a bouquet at a friend’s wedding

༓Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd He watched you catch it without blinking or flinching, mainly just confused as the realization slowly took over your face as you finally met Dimitri’s gaze. There was something about how the flowers looked in your hands and the look that you gave him that made Dimitri feel so flustered. So pretty, is his single thought as Dimitri’s made his way to you, feet on autopilot.

༓Dedue Molinaro Dedue’s eyes were completely on you, holding the colorful flowers that all mean a term of love in language as everyone else is looking between you and him. He doesn’t flare up in a blush or appear startled but you can see Dedue is feeling embarrassedly flustered by the awkward stiffness of his movement as the tall man makes his way to you.

༓Felix Hugo Fraldarius Felix does not want to be here with unimportant people, if anything he wants to be comfortably at home with you. But he will admit that the other wedding is pretty. Felix wonders if you’ve ever thought about marriage, but any further thought of the subject changes when you catch the flowers that nearly smacked you in the face. The image of what you would look like holding yours flashed quickly in his thoughts as for once Felix quietly watched you.

༓Ashe Ubert A blush marked his freckled face with a happy smile but a shy expression at the teasing that Ashe knows his friends and siblings will give him as you walked over to him. Subconsciously Ashe reached out his hand for you to take, gently pulling you closer to his side as Ashe studied the flowers. The bouquet was pretty but it wasn’t your favorite, he thought to himself. The following thought is how beautiful you would look, holding your favorite flowers while neither Ashe nor you let go of each other’s hands because it felt like two missing puzzle pieces found a place to fit perfectly together.

༓Sylvain Jose Gautier Immediately starts to sweat nervously as the flowers are perfectly in your hand while his hand subconsciously touches his pocket where the ring is that he’s planning to ask your hand for later. He had been carrying it, not having a day or place in mind until right now. This is a sign, he thinks as you lock eyes with him and smile which he returns.

༓Mercedes von Martritz She was standing right beside you when you had caught the flowers, she leaned over to sniffle the flowers with a smile growing on her face as she looked up at you, pulling away from you but not before kissing your cheek. She giggled quietly at your reaction to the flowers and the kisses. She is going to tease you but this will bring up the thought of marriage and the future with her.

༓Annette Fantine Dominic Instantly a crimson blush blooms on her face as endless giggles of excited bundles of nerves, reaching how to touch one of the flowers’ petals. Annette went quiet, wondering what flowers she would pick for her wedding, she subconsciously looked at you. She isn’t going to say anything immediately today or tomorrow but there will be hints of marriage, hoping that you’ll catch on and talk about it with her.

༓Ingrid Brandl Galatea She never really thought deeply about marriage, it was just something that her father wanted for her. But when Ingrid saw your reaction to catching the bouquet to look for her and finally smiling when you found Ingrid, she wondered for a fleeting thought if you would smile like that at the altar. She can’t explain why it made her face blush although Ingrid didn’t hate that idea at all because without question she knows that Ingrid would say yes if you asked her.

Fandom: Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Character(s): Claude, Annettte, Ferdinand, Lorenz

Note(s): These are such cute prompts, I'll happily write these!

Annette

It started with study dates and you two being paired together to clean the classroom or other parts of the academy. She'd always be sure to happily talk with you about this and that too.

And then she'd start to notice more things about you, remembering little details you mentioned before. Can't help but buy you a gift at the market at some point because you're good friends.

Then her clumsiness gets her in trouble. She's trying to clean a shelf when the contents of it start falling, but you're there to shield her. You're very close together and she notices more about you before realizes that "Oh, I like you as more than a friend."

Claude

He originally asked you to help him in the market. He noticed some of the moral not being the greatest so a trip to the market to get some trinkets and food would help things along. And he figured that he could also improve your mood while he was at it by having this outing.

Claude noticed that things seemed to go rather well when he had you around that first time so he asks you to join him for other things. Walks around the monastery, more market visits, trips to the library, things like that. He did notice the growing chemistry between you both and it intrigued him.

He slowly tries to do different things with the more outings you go on. He holds your hand if there are large crowds "so you don't get swept away", he holds doors open for you "because he's such a gentleman", he gets you more gifts like flowers and such... he doesn't really have an excuse ready for that.

Ferdinand

It started with Ferdinand wanting to show you that he's much better than Edelgard. Even if you preferred him to her originally, he still feels like he has something to prove. So he asks you to hang out with him, watch him spar (maybe join him too), study with him, just various things like that.

He doesn't realize that he tries to show off for you. Before it was mostly him showing off to prove himself. But now he's trying to show off to get a positive reaction from you. He wants to see your smiles, even if they're from laughing at him because he tripped or something embarrassing like that.

Now he starts asking you to join him to the market or to walk around the less busy areas of the academy together. Places that don't seem like they'd be super romantic, but where it will be the two of you together. Will get you something sweet or a little gift. As thanks for hanging out with him all the time, of course.

Lorenz

He always invites his classmates to tea so he can secretly (or bluntly) judge them under the pretense that he's giving "helpful" advice. And he has invited you to these tea sessions quite a bit.

It's just the two of you talking about schooling and the various nobility. Lorenz also does his judging of pointing out that you'd look nicer with some accessories or things like that. But as time goes on, he starts to notice other things.

One tea session, Lorenz mentioned a necklace looking nice on you. The next session, he got you a necklace. And then instead of his "judging", he starts to point out the shade of your eyes or how your hair is styled. His tone of voice does come across as a bit snobby, but he really does mean the compliments as he's realizing a lot more about you than he thought he would when these sessions started.

What do the Blue Lions do if you are a target of bullying at the academy?

Note: Reader is Gender Neutral

Dimitri

He observes for a moment, taking stock of the situation. Then he calmly intervenes. Your aggressors look up and freeze the moment they notice Dimitri standing there. How long has he been watching?

"Forgive my intrusion. It looks to me as though there is some sort of quarrel going on here," he remarks with usual politeness. Then he crosses his arms, narrowing his gaze on your tormentors. "I would be happy to mediate, if needed."

For all his courtesy and friendly demeanor, there is a sudden intensity in his stare. A power in his presence that commands all the attention and respect befitting of a future king. One who would someday be tasked to deliver judgment on all wrongdoing.

But there is something else in those eyes. Something unyielding. Something that promises much worse than simple punishment should these misdeeds continue.

The grip on your collar loosens. Your bullies waste no time with apologies or excuses as they flee to escape Dimitri's wrath.

Dimitri helps you onto your feet and offers assistance as you straighten out your uniform. Your belongings are scattered on the floor in the midst of the commotion. He gathers them up for you in spite of your protests.

"I'm so sorry that you have to endure this," he says remorsefully. "If it would help, I could accompany you between classes. Only if you allowed it, of course."

Dedue

He interposes without uttering a word, planting himself between you and those who would do you harm. Like a shield, he endures their insults, their jeers - all the things that he is used to hearing - but does not entertain their demands for him to move aside.

Facing the sheer iron in his stance and on his face, your tormentors are reluctant to retaliate by physical means. Only once are they out of sight does Dedue turn to face you.

"Are you hurt?" he asks, looking you over. When you shake your head, his shoulders sink with relief. "I'm glad."

The conversation tapers off into an awkward sort of quiet. Your nerves are still frayed, and you have trouble calming down. Of course, he notices.

"...Have you eaten yet? The dining hall is not far from here. Allow me to prepare you something."

The meal he serves you is delicious, of course. Grateful for the distraction, you fretfully stuff your face as Dedue takes a seat across the table. The two of you sit in silence as he attends you with an expression that is unreadable, but not unfriendly. There are no words - only unspoken empathy and understanding.

Sylvain

The moment it seems like there is nowhere for you to run, you feel a firm hand on your shoulder.

"There you are, I've been looking all over for you!" Sylvain is at your side, wearing his most infectious smile. "Don't tell me you've forgotten our plans to visit town today."

You stammer in response, unable to recall any such plan.

His eyes drift towards your aggressors. "By the way, who are these friends of yours? It sounded like you were having a juicy conversation." The air plunges to sub-zero temperature as his voice suddenly turns hostile. "...Any room for me to join in?"

With his arm slung firmly around your shoulder, you have no idea what kind of face he is making at your bullies. But it is enough to make them slink back with terror in their eyes.

"Was it something I said? Ah, well." Sylvain claps your shoulder cheerfully as he leads you away. "Remember that place I've been bothering you about all week? Let's grab a bite to eat and you can tell me how your day has been."

After everything he had suffered at the hands of his older brother, the least he can do is let you know in his own little way - you will never have to face your tormentors alone.

Felix

At first he does nothing, merely watching from a distance to see if you're capable of growing a spine. As the confrontation escalates, so does his dissatisfaction, until he can stand idle no longer.

Just as your aggressors are about to turn violent, Felix finally announces his presence - by loudly kicking over some nearby piece of furniture.

"What a pathetic bunch, ganging up on someone weaker than you," he sneers. He points with his practice blade, issuing a challenge. "Why don't we settle this by finding out just how strong you clowns are in a fair fight?"

The resulting scuffle is no contest. The vandals are sent fleeing, covered in fresh cuts and bruises. You are left with the task of having to physically restrain Felix before he outright runs them down.

"Don't think for a second that I'm going to make a habit of this," Felix chastises you once the dust settles. "Next time they corner you like that, you need to stand up and fight for yourself."

In fact, he drags you to the training grounds and finds you a practice sword to call your own. By the time he is done drilling you on the basics of armed and unarmed self-defense, you are more than ready should your aggressors return.

Ashe

On impulse, he steps out into the open and calls out your name. When all eyes are on him, his face goes red with panic. Even so, he musters courage and acts on the first idea that pops into his head.

"The Professor wanted to see you! They said it was an urgent matter and asked me take you to them. Hurry!" Grabbing your hand, he pulls you into a run. Your tormentors are slow to react as the two of you make your frantic escape.

Out of breath, you both take refuge within the greenhouse where plenty of school staff are present. It's uncomfortably warm and muggy, but there is no shortage of tall plants to hide behind.

"That was close! Are you alright?" he pants. "Oh... The Professor? That was something I made up." He laughs weakly. "Sorry that I couldn't be of any more help..."

Though your bullies are nowhere to be seen, you elect to hide in the greenhouse for a while. Ashe is determined to stay by your side for as long as is needed.

"...Do you want to tell someone?" he offers quietly. "Surely the Professor will understand. I can come with you to help explain what happened."

It's clear that he wishes he could do more instead of just running, but even true justice comes in small steps.

Mercedes

Though she is aghast at your plight, her solution is both simple and effective. The moment she sees you being menaced, she drops everything she is holding to cup her hands around her mouth and shout at the top of her lungs.

"Oh, Professor! Someone! Please come help, quick! There's a student in trouble!"

Mercedes is well-loved in Garreg Mach for her benevolent nature. As such, heads turn at the sound of her voice. Knights, the school staff, and even the clergy emerge from the woodwork to investigate the commotion.

Your tormentors immediately panic and turn tail, fleeing the scene.

Your savior rushes to your side and immediately sets to work mending your scrapes and bruises.

"You needn't worry. Everything is going to be alright now." She gives you a reassuring smile. "You should always yell out for help if you're in trouble. That's what I always do!"

Annette

Her face nearly as red as her hair as she rushes to your defense, confronting your tormentors with clenched fists.

"Jerks! You leave my friend alone right now!" she snaps at them with a ferocity that shocks even you. "You think I won't fight you? Is that it? Why don't you try me!"

Her hands suddenly flare with magical energy as the winds pick up, threatening a storm. Her face, ordinarily cheerful and sunny, suddenly goes dark. "Ooooh, you're all gonna be in big trouble if you keep this up!"

Your aggressors stammer excuses. This isn't worth it, they mutter in agreement, before quickly vacating the scene.

The winds settle, and Annette takes a deep breath to calm herself down. You've seen her get all worked up before, but never like this.

"Whew! That was a little too exciting, even for me! They didn't hurt you, did they?"

Her face brightens when you reassure her that you're fine. "Don't worry about those creeps from now on. The next time they show up, I'll handle it myself!"

Ingrid

The moment she clues into what is going on, she is filled with righteous fury. Oh, hell no. This is not happening. No way, absolutely not on her watch.

Your bullies know that they are in deep trouble the moment Ingrid marches over, crossing her arms with a look of reproach.

"Excuse me, but what gives you the right to take part in such shameful behavior?" she chides them. "You won't cut it as knights if you keep wasting everyone's time like this. If you would call yourselves students of the honored Officers' Academy, then start acting like it or pack your things!"

By the time she is done verbally tearing into your aggressors, they are begging her to relent, profuse with apologies. She continues to stare them down coldly as they make themselves scarce.

As you murmur your thanks, she gives you an encouraging smile.

"Think nothing of it - I can't stand bullies either. Lucky for us, they're all cowards. So, don't hesitate to call on me if you help, alright?"

Hilda Valentine Goneril

You fall, and all Hilda can see is red.

Red, where it shouldn’t be. Blood everywhere, on your armor, your skin, the grass. Marianne running towards you, and Claude gripping Hilda’s arm, urging her to look away, to keep calm, because it wouldn’t help you if she lost it right here--

Hilda shakes him off, her grip on her axe tightening.

This is real, she reminds herself. This is war. People get hurt, and people die.

This is nothing like the strategy lessons back in Garreg Mach where she watched Claude maneuver pieces on a board against Lorenz. This is no training drill, where you would pop back up, complaining about your sore arms.

No, this is real, and Hilda would simply have to slaughter every person on the field who dared to raise a finger against you.

Annette Dominic

Annette’s hands shake as she presses a rag to your side.

“You’re going to be okay,” she whispers, trying to smile. “You’re going to be okay.”

It’s a promise, a prayer: as long as she keeps saying it, it’ll be true. It has to be. Because you have a future together, so many things you haven’t done yet. She has a ring she has yet to slip on your finger. There’s a festival in Faerghus she’s been wanting to take you to, once the war is over.

Sweat beads your forehead as Annette tries to stem the flow of blood from your wound. The din of fighting rings around her, but it might as well be a million miles away.

The real war is here, as she begs you not to leave her.

Ashe Ubert

You’re by Ashe’s side when the spell hits you, and you crash into the ground like a broken bird.

The world goes on, regardless.

Dimitri shouts orders. Someone grips his shoulder, tells him Mercedes is on the other side of the field.

Ashe holds you in his arms. Is he strong enough to pick you up and carry you? Would he even make it? If only he had Sylvain’s cleverness, or Dimitri’s strength. If only he had noticed the enemy readying a spell in your direction and pushed you out of the way. If only...

No. There would be time for tears later. Right now, you need him.

He has already lost so much, and he will not lose you, too.

Now, we all know Annette would rather like, die or smth, if she hears anybody, and I mean anybody, humming her songs. Not because she hates them no, but because they're, in her opinion, silly. Usually they're to help pass the time with chores so she isn't bored out of her mind, with no real serious composition.

And from her supports with Claude and Felix, we've seen her literally be this close to throwing hands. You’re playing a dangerous game /j. Like maybe one day in a far off future where the war is over and done with and you and Annette are living the cottagecore dream (me when huh.) perhaps you’re doing some random chore around the house and Annette’s stepped out for something. You don’t expect her to stand in the doorway flabbergasted as you hum about dishes and soap bubbles similarly to the song she had been singing before.

insert kill bill sirens as you two awkwardly make eye contact-

in all seriousness though, if this was during the school phase TM then she would think that you were making fun of her, which can lead to Miscommunication, but this is a time for fluffy hcs, so we're gonna pretend nothing's wrong :) (cough), but once she knows that you're not making fun of her, she will still be a little embarrassed but she wont think anything too bad about it (she's sensitive okay, but she's doing her best).

But anyway, she's still embarrassed about it, but it won't be as much as when she was a student. (Somehow, somewhere, Claude and Felix are punching the air because while they're considered scoundrels, you are simply built different). Annette will try and be like "oh they're just silly songs they don't mean anything." wrong!! they are bops okay.

sometimes you may catch her humming along to your humming, so just duet with her. let Annie sing to her heart's content bc it's what she deserves. But that also means you get to be serenaded by her... lucky smh... take those serenades and cherish them bc it's one of the many things you two can look back on in the future and remember the memory fondly.

although if you get cheeky with the lyrics she may smack you so beware

To hold his hands is to accept him as he is. To accept his rage, his hatred. No matter the sins he has committed, no matter the blood he's bathed himself in, you'll hold him close. And it's all he could ever ask for.

➢ Dedue

To hold his hands is to reassure him, to let him know that you fear not the backlash he assumes is approaching. You hold him with such care and yet you stand firm, refusing to move whenever he pushes.

➢ Sylvain

To hold his hands is to love him- to truly love him. It had always seemed like everyone looked through him, only seeing his crest and not who he was- yet you.. you saw him, the real him, and never once did you make a remark about his status. You're a treasure he's happy to keep, if you'll allow him.

➢ Felix

To hold his hands is to be let in. His insults know no bounds and despite that he allows you closer than anyone before. He always reeled at the thought, but having you in his arms, being able to lean on you, feels better than doing it all on his own.

You, just as she has for those at the monastery and church, showered her in kindness; in love. She appreciates you more than any would know.

To hold his hands is to be protected, protected from all that wish to harm you; from all that wish to harm him. Through thick and thin you've had him and he's had you, all that may have struck him down, all that might have struck you down, was promptly subdued. He hopes he could hold you for a little longer, just as you hope you can hold him forever.

To hold her hands is to show her you will stay, no matter how difficult everything may get. Every touch reminds her that you're here, truly here, and that you'll always be there to pick her up when she falls down, just as she would for you. Lots of training and studying. Both Annette and Ingrid are serious about the school and getting better. You might have to be the one to get them both to take breaks.

What do the Blue Lions do if they receive an anonymous love letter from you?

Note: Reader is Gender-Neutral

Dimitri Well, whoever wrote this letter certainly had a way with words! He cannot help but admire your eloquence while wondering what he could have possibly done to receive such praise. Had he missed a special occasion? Or did someone send him this nice letter for the sake of niceness? Baffling to be sure, which is why he starts asking around in search of the original sender.

His more astute classmates are quick to point out that it is not just an ordinary greeting card, but in fact - a love letter. The moment he realizes, his face goes red.

Oh. Well now he absolutely has to know who you are, if only to convince you that he is in no way worthy of such admiration. Surely there is someone more deserving of your affection, that such words should not be wasted on him. ...Or so he tries to convince himself as he re-reads the letter every quiet moment he has alone.

Dedue There must be some kind of mistake, he thinks to himself as he quietly folds up the letter. Or a joke. Who in their right mind at Garreg Mach would hold such admiration for him, let alone emotion? He elicits no reaction and tells no one, not even Dimitri. Life seemingly goes on as normal.

What no one knows is that on some days of the week, he sits down at his desk with a quill and parchment, mulling over how to reply and struggling to choose the right words.

Eventually he gives up, deciding that silence is preferable to a clumsy response. Instead, he visits the greenhouse to select some freshly bloomed potted flowers. He arranges your letter amongst the blossoms and together they decorate his window sill where the sun lands gently every morning.

Sylvain By the time he is finished reading it, there is a big goofy grin on his face. He is no stranger to receiving such letters, having written a few of his own. In fact, he keeps a small stack of them in his room. The noteworthy ones, at least. Eventually, such letters all end up in the fireplace in a matter of days.

Yours though? It just makes him really happy for some reason. There's no way he'll let it get lost in the paperwork or toss it in the hearth. Instead, he keeps it on his person like a lucky charm.

In fact, he really wants to show it off and brag about it to everyone until they get absolutely sick of him. They do, but this is the first time he has ever truly not cared about how other people think about him (...well, maybe except for you, O mysterious admirer) and it is the best feeling ever.

Felix At first he scoffs and crumples it up after reading, tossing it into the paper bin by his desk. What a ridiculous letter, and a waste of time. So, why couldn't he get it out of his head?

Against his better judgment, he digs through his own trash to rescue it, even taking the time to smooth it out and clean it up a little. Someone clearly put far too much work into writing this silly note for it to be tossed aside.

He considers interrogating his classmates to find out who sent it, and if it was some sort of prank. But he also knows that certain friends would never let him hear the end of it if they found out. So he keeps it to himself and doesn't tell a soul. If you were brave enough to write him something so frivolous, then he hopes believes that you'll probably approach him in person on your own accord one day.

Ashe He leaps to the conclusion that the letter is meant for someone else, delivered to him by mistake. Naturally, when he goes looking for the intended recipient, people are quick to point out that his name is in fact written on the letter. That can't be right, he thinks as he rereads the heart-pounding letter for the hundredth time. And yet there it was, plain as day.

Thanks to his inquiries, word gets around campus such that people are congratulating him for having a secret admirer. The sudden attention leaves him incredibly flustered, but not terribly embarrassed. Maybe in a handful of days, he thinks with a red-faced grin, he'll write a response of his own. The only problem is whether he could write half as eloquently as you did, and how to figure out who you really are.

Mercedes She has received letters of gratitude for her service at the church before, but this is quite different. Your flowery words have captivated her, and with each re-read, she notices all the small details you included in the letter. Your elegant handwriting, the various anecdotes of all her deeds and merits, the pressed flowers, and even the faint perfume of lavender - her favorite.

It leaves her quite giggly and rosy-cheeked for the rest of the day, to the point where she has trouble concentrating in class. Even as her peers call her name and try to get her attention, she simply stares off into space with a giddy sigh and a dreamy smile. Her classmates are quick to suspect that she is lovestruck, and they might not be far from the truth.

Annette How curious, she thinks to herself cheekily as she opens the note. Could it be a love letter? Haha, no way. Unless...?

To her surprise, it is - in fact - a love letter. The moment it hits her, she panics. Freaks out, even. Burning red from cheek-to-cheek, her first impulse is to squeal out loud. Naturally, her outburst sends passers-by running over to investigate, and the cat is out of the bag before she can keep it a secret.

For the rest of the week, she is even clumsier than usual, causing a surfeit of accidents in both the kitchen and in magic class. By the end of each day, she is flustered and mortified. If only she could find out who you are, just to give you a piece of her mind for getting her riled up like this! But if she did end up meeting you face-to-face, she'd probably blush even harder then.

Ingrid She sighs, and tears it up. Except she doesn't, and the letter remains whole in her hands as she reads it again. Maybe a few more times for good measure. By the time she comes to her senses, it is too late. She has memorized your words from start to finish and still can't bring herself to get rid of the letter.

But what is the point in keeping it? She wonders. Between her dreams of knighthood and her father's designs at arranging a suitable marriage for her, there is no room in her life for a secret admirer.

And yet, whenever she feels down, your letter is a source of solace - even hope. She feels a little guilty that she would tear up her own father's letters yet keep yours. But reading your letter is like listening to a dear friend who knows the real her, even if she has no idea who you are.

DIMITRI

if you thought he was mad before, you ought to see him now

goes absolutely feral. more mad than he already is, as much as i hate to say it - he’s torn apart the entire monastery and he’s ready to advance to the town

everyone is just as worried as he is, but they can’t stand to watch this man fall apart for the second time

is the head of the search party for you, all battle plans thrown aside - he must be the person to find you and take you back

once he finds you, you aren’t allowed out of his sight for the rest of the war, and he becomes very fiercely protective of you from then onwards

DEDUE

much like dimitri, he also drives himself insane, except his is a lot more internalised. if you know him well, then you can probably tell that there’s a lot going on in his head

blames himself for your disappearance and won’t allow anyone else to take the blame for it.

goes by himself to find you, storming out of the monastery at midnight - of course, the rest of the blue lions and a few soldiers follow out behind him without him realising

when he finds you and takes you back, he gives you space, of course (he’s afraid he’ll come off as too clingy), but he’s always in the area to protect you if you ever find yourself in trouble again

SYLVAIN

is downright devastated and cannot make himself come out of his room due to how genuinely upset he is

like dedue, he blames himself fully for not being there to protect you, and for being selfish enough to let you go

of course, he’s at the front of the search party, still wiping tears from his eyes

holds you very tightly in his arms when you both get back - he’s crying into your shoulder and apologising for being a sad excuse of a man

it’ll take him a while to come back to his senses, but he’ll always stay right by your side from then onwards

FELIX

tries to act unbothered but literally everyone can see how bothered he actually is

even dimitri pointed out that there’s a light that seemed to have disappeared from his eyes, and that he doesn’t hold himself with a good posture any more

runs out in the middle of the night once he discovers where you are, yelling and screaming at the people who try to follow after him

his screaming probably alerts the guards surrounding the area you’re being held in, but he’s more than happy to just knock them all out and storm right through the doors

once you’re home safe and sound, he starts apologising, his entire body shaking from how hard he’s trying not to completely break down on you

ASHE

when everyone discovers that you’re missing, his first response is just to not believe them - after all, there’s no chance you’d go missing, right?

once he comes to terms with the fact that you’re not just playing some sick game of hide-and-seek with him, he breaks down then and there, and everyone has to just help him get back on his feet

leads the team trying to find where you are, and all of his suggestions are extremely helpful - you’re found within days

also won’t leave your side for a very long time because he just doesn’t want to lose you again. he repeats this fact to you every night when he walks you back to your room

MERCEDES

doesn’t know what to do with herself. you going missing and being kidnapped was never a possibility in her mind, so for a few days she’s completely shaken

the mood is dampened in the blue lions - because you’re missing, obviously, but the ray of sunshine that was mercie has also dimmed

is right by your bedside the second you come back, her hands holding yours and her face in the crook of your neck - she can’t bring herself to physically let you go

won’t let anyone else attempt to tend to your wounds and insists on doing it herself. of course, she apologises verbally, but she uses her healing skills to try and make up for it too

ANNETTE

doesn’t cry in front of anyone because she knows that she and mercie are supposed to be the happy ones in the house - she bursts into tears every time she comes back to her room and sees some of your things in there though

annette is one of the more rational people in the house too, so she waits until everyone knows where you are to leave. she runs ahead of everyone else and is excellent at motivating people

takes down any and all soldiers waiting inside and outside of the place you’re being held in. nobody’s ever seen her do this much & they certainly aren’t complaining

her face whilst mercilessly killing all soldiers guarding you was fierce, but she bursts into a smile the second she sees you - there’s tears, of course, but she’s more happy to have you back than anything else

INGRID

is in charge of the strategy to find you & literally puts forward all the ideas. nobody else has to do anything

her face doesn’t change, and is held in the same blank expression until you’re found. nobody has seen her cry or look distressed and it’s scary

has an even scarier look to her when she’s charging into the place you’re being held in and the soldiers literally move out of the way for her

breaks down once she finds you and everyone has to tear her away from you in order to tend to your wounds

Welcomes him with open arms (of course)

Like with all new recruits he’ll be curious. Why would you leave the deer for his lions? Not that he’s complaining but boy is curious

If Ignatz says it’s because of the unity among the lions, Dimitri will feel so humbled he may shed a tear

He’d most likely try his best to help Ignatz assimilate himself with the more...*cough* intimidating members

11/10 most likely to talk up Dedue and recommend him as a friend

He’s just very happy someone wants to join despite Felix being...well, Felix

Dedue:

Is neutral. He doesn’t know much about Ignatz as the boy doesn’t make his presence known

Dedue knows a good soul when he sees one. He had no reason to keep an eye on him aside from his talent with archery

Feels prideful that his class is receiving new members. He may be enrolled because of his highness, but he still cares for his classmates to an extent

which is hard sometimes because of certain people having their prejudices

If his highness wants him to be involved in Ignatz’s transfer than he sees no issue

Actually is the most likely to become fast friends with him next to Ashe and Annette

He is likely to listen to Ignatz’s tangents about art with no interruptions. He finds it en”deer”ing (get it lol)

Sylvain:

Eh

Guys I hate to break it to you, but Sylvain doesn’t care

He doesn’t know Ignatz, and beyond initial greeting he doesn’t really make an effort to learn beyond observation

The most they communicate is when Sylvain tries to stop Felix from laying in to the poor lad

He one time saw his art and suggested using it to get with ze ladies

Ignatz of course got flustered, and Sylvain realized that he was too pure to screw with. Yet another fledgling taken in by his Professor

Knows damn straight that he has potential. Ignatz talks like a poet, snipes like an eagle, and charms people with his awkward banter. The guy is a serious threat

Thinks he could be a good leader, and respects him. Sylvain just doesn’t feel the need to get too buddy-buddy

Ashe:

Instantly takes to him

He’s so happy to see another archer...and another commoner

Yes Annette worked her way to where she is but it’s different, you know?

Felix, Ingrid, and Dimitri grew up together. Dedue has his place with Dimitri. Annette and Mercedes are best friends...

Ashe has always felt a bit like the wallflower of his class, despite them all including him

Ignatz is an outcast here. Ashe is so ready to show him the ropes and make a new friend

He likes to hear about Ignatz’s family, both the good and the bad. They talk things that Ashe couldn’t normally discuss with his more blue-blooded classmates

Felix:

Won’t lie, he’s a bit annoyed. Just not for reasons you’d think

He’s pissed that someone who clearly doesn’t want to fight is in his class

He thinks it’s a waste of talent, the boy clearly has a knack to become an assassin. He’s just not 100% there for it

and Felix wants 120% if you get my drift

Why did you come here if you’re not serious? The fake-it-till-you-make-it misfit crew was much better suited for an artist wearing armor

He doesn’t warm up to him at all either. Not until after the reunion

He just doesn’t want someone without a backbone or want for one fighting with him

Annette:

She’s as excited as Ashe and definitely drags him around with Mercedes to get snacks

If Claude even t h i n k s about trying to steal him back she’ll be on him like butter to pancakes

She gets so giddy when he asks for help catching up on new material. She loves to teach and is excited to have a new member of the team

She doesn’t care about why he joined, just that he likes it enough to stay

Seems my brain can only process hcs rn bc I’m tired so like holiday hcs are very appreciated in terms of reqs! Also just realized I talk about winter weather which sorta isolates the Southern Hemisphere, sorry :(

Their favorite aspect of the Holidays || Part 1 || Blue Lions

Dimitri

Quality Time. He has many memories of the winter holidays with his family, and finds himself reminiscing over what he manages to remember, so he takes comfort in being able to create new memories with the Lions. He also particularly enjoys being able to learn and share traditions.

Sylvain

Mistletoe... as much as I preach the “Sylvain is a deep character with flaws who isn’t just a hoe!!” I can’t deny that he takes pleasure in catching the ladies under the mistletoe... Felix accidentally was caught underneath and.. well.. yeah that didn’t end well

Felix

Snow/Cold Weather. The holidays remind him of home when he finds himself away. Despite claiming to not be sentimental, he does like to reminisce about winters spent with his brother. Something about the cold weather is just so familiar and reassuring to him.

Dedue

Sharing Traditions. Sort of like Dimitri, Dedue enjoys the tradition aspect of the holiday season. Duscur doesn’t celebrate anything this time of year, so he likes to learn about and partake in all the festivities that his classmates enjoy. He says that they don’t have to bother including him but hes always really glad when they do.

Ashe

Despite me Loving Ashe the most, I honestly find Ashe the hardest to pin down a favorite for. He doesn’t strike me as the kind to ever be able to choose a favorite, as he enjoys many aspects of the winter holidays. He probably likes quality time spent with his younger siblings and the Lions the most though.

Ingrid

Ingrid also enjoys the cold weather, but for the opposite reasons. She enjoys staying inside by a nice fire, likely with a nice book (definitely another knight tale recommended to her by Ashe) and usually reaps the benefits of Mercedes’s holiday baked goods! Idk, I just think she deserves time to relax since she works so hard all the time.

Holiday Baking. I mean, she likes baking in general, but during the holidays it just seems that more fun. She also really enjoys baking with others, especially if she’s doing it in a teaching manner where she gets to see people new to baking happy with the outcome. Also, gingerbread houses.

Annette

She also enjoys the baking (despite not being good at it), but I feel like she enjoys the gifting aspect more. Whatever the Fódlan equivalent to Secret Santa or White Elephant is is her FAVORITE. Though she does have a hard time keeping things a secret sometimes, but the Lions are courteous enough to act surprised to make her feel better.
