Today's episode of "Why is Astarion covered in blood?":
He went to jail for a crime he committed and then he did even worse crimes while in jail.
Gale got kidnapped by a shapechanging cult leader with a murder fetish. I wanted to get our sexy wizard out of that situation ASAP, so I headed right over to the tombstone store that is actually a front so I could break in and start a fight with the aforementioned cult leader's murder dad-grandpa. Astarion picks the lock but- oh, crap, I forgot to check for the steampunk robot police! So he got caught by a Steel Watcher and thrown in jail. He misty stepped out of his jail cell with no trouble but then I realized the cops took his weapons and those were really good weapons that I can't replace. So he broke back into jail to find the evidence chest with his stuff but got caught. Too late, he already got his knives back. So he cast darkness, stabbed a few guards to death, and then ran out of the police station before a 20 foot tall robot could beat him into a pulp. From there, he leisurely jogged back to the fake tombstone store, where the rest of the party was milling about. This time around, we waited until the cops patrolled past us before breaking in. Astarion picked the lock with a nat 20 on the first try.
Please ignore his fuck ass armor.
The building behind him doesn't have walls because Act 3 of this game makes my computer panic when I change maps.

However fucked up Alex reveals Bill and Ford’s relationship is revealed to be in The Book Of Bill, Kenz and Bill’s is a hundred times worse.
Disclaimer: I am not glorifying abuse in any way shape or form. I myself have had nightmares similar to this despite never being sexually abused, both Bill related and otherwise. Some of these are based on personal experience (such as the nightmares), whilst others are a device used to show how fucked up shipping Bill with pretty much anyone is. Not even the Axolotl is safe in my opinion. If Bill was real, I’d guarantee he’d probably be a massive creep and with how thirsty his fankids are (and I’m calling myself out here) he’d probably use his magic to g*oom those kids like a church pastor. The thing that scares me the most about Bill being canonically real is not that he could catastrophically end the world, it’s his oversexualization in the fandom that got so bad, Alex himself had to make him unattractive. This will be along the lines of a Yandere Bill Cipher x Reader headcanons. With that being said, here’s a few content warnings:
G*ooming, Pedoph*lia, s*xual abuse and assault, physical and psychological abuse, mind control, cult-like things, psychosis, and general paranoia. I’m not saying these things actually happened, but knowing Bill’s character and his powers and history, if he was real, I’d generally be afraid for anyone in the Gravity Falls fandom. Especially minors.
This could be my most controversial post yet, and it could jeopardize any potential of getting into some colleges. This may sound like paranoid rambling, but I know that Bill is just a cartoon character. That being said, Alex like the blur the line between our world and the world of gravity falls with Bill’s character, dicing around the fact that he’s influenced history and wrote all religion on the basis of a lie. I’m not scapegoating him as “controlling global politics on a massive scale” because that would be stupid and I’ll sound like those tin foil hat rednecks that snort moonshine and burn pride flags. My heart goes out to all those who have been impacted by all forms of abuse as an abuse survivor myself. Alex, if you see this post (or any other of my posts/ read my fanfics), just know that it’s a critique on the fandom and the canon lore, and a cautionary warning to avoid lawsuits in case The Book of Bill Cipher causes mass psychosis.
As a kid (ages 7-9) I would watch Gravity Falls casually. At that age, the only thing I consumed online content wise was Skylanders and Minecraft content (Skylanders until age nine, then it was pretty much a lot of Team Crafted, Popularmmos, DanTDM, and other Minecraft YouTubers.) I didn’t invest in the Gravity Falls fandom until I was eleven (that’s when I first started writing my fanfics. The drafts are long gone because they were on school computers that were crammed with viruses due to kids installing Minecraft mods (this was just before chromebooks became mainstream. I went to a special ed middle school specifically for autistic individuals (it was pretty ableist, gonna make a post on that.) so the rules on what was allowed in school were pretty loose content wise. It didn’t have to be educational, as long as it didn’t have blood or guns. There were no safe search filters or Go Guardian (I remember one of my friends accidentally finding Iris from Pokemon black and white vore. I also found Pacifica vore.)) Before that, the February before my tenth birthday, my dad took my TV out of my room due to behavioral issues (undiagnosed autism go brrr). Around that time, there was talk in my town that the Disney channel was “rotting kids minds” with bad attitudes and crude humor (this could be said about any child’s television network (I mean, look at Nickelodeon.) but I lived in a pretty conservative area of Southern California and had a pretty conservative dad. So naturally, Disney was the scapegoat (this was way before the “woke” era of Disney.)) All of this talk of Brainrot made me stop watching the Disney channel during the peak era of gravity falls (2015 as a whole) and I didn’t watch gravity falls again until summer of 2016 when my tv was put back in my room (with intense parental controls so that I couldn’t watch my vet shows.) That’s when I had my first gravity falls dream about Bill cipher. It had to do with getting unicorn hair to protect my house from Bill Cipher. I had an interest in dreams previously due to warrior cats. It was at that moment when Gravity Falls was added to the obsession list.
As a neurodivergent eleven year old surrounded by other neurodivergent preteens and teens, we found common ground talking about Gravity Falls at school. I also would, whenever I didn’t feel the prying eyes of the grown ups or my peers would go off outside and act out my gravity falls x pokemon x warrior cats fanfiction (I’m not sure if those are signs of maladaptive daydreaming disorder or I simply had an intense imagination that would consume my body and make me want to just act out my fanfictions outside. I don’t do this anymore, mostly because of my own embarrassment and I can just write it out.) Yes, there were times where the discussion or action played out Bill Cipher being real. A lot of my “play” as I called it back then was me being kidnapped or possessed by Bill. I even wrote some really cringey fanfics involving my friends and Bill Cipher. To this day, I still involve my family in my fanfiction, but more final drafts will have their names changed. Weirdmaggeddon was a common topic, as well as Bill Cipher possession.
As time went on, I had more dreams about Bill Cipher, fueling the obsession and the fact that Bill could be real. During my middle school years, I never had a crush on Bill Cipher, despite what my friends seem to think. My parents just took it as whatever and as long as I was happy and just working towards going to a neurotypical non-sped school. My crush on Bill Cipher didn’t start until I was in high school. I remember it specifically being Valentine’s Day 2020 when I learned that I have a crush on the triangle. My dreams of Bill would only get more frequent and worse from here (involving the typical horny teenage dream that I don’t want to elaborate because I feel weird doing so (you’ll see why later on.))
Now there’s typically nothing wrong with having a cartoon crush. Given any other cartoon character that doesn’t have a canon history of influencing this world (Bill’s history of influence is vague but it still counts) I would excuse this as another silly cartoon crush like PurpleCliffe simping for Cynthia and the like. However, given that it’s in the show’s canon that Bill could be real and he crossed over to our world, do you understand what implications this could have? Bill is trillions of years old, he’s likely seen every timeline to ever exist. Meanwhile, there are whole armies of fankids who are down bad for him (including me.)
Notice how when I first started getting into Gravity Falls that I didn’t have a crush on him. How many other fankids felt the same way? It wasn’t until years of obsessing over Gravity Falls did I develop feelings for him. And of Alex says in the Book of Bill Cipher what I think he’s going to say (that Bill probably ab*sed Ford sexually with possible g*ooming involved), notice the pattern that is being presented here? Alex, if you blur the lines between fiction and reality with a villain who may or may not have canonically g*oomed and abused someone, possibly using mind control given his powers and his role as a dream demon, could it really be so far fetched that… (I’m not going to say it because it’s leaving a sour taste in my mouth, but use your imagination.)
If we take Alex’s word that Bill has crossed over to our world, then we can only assume that there are vulnerable kids and adults being… You get the picture. I’m not explicitly saying that it is happening right now, but this is problematic because revealing that Bill ab*sed Ford in that way means that Alex would probably imply that Bill is doing the same to MINORS. I may sound paranoid and this may just be a ramble, but considering the show’s canon and how mythology is filled with cases of degenerative acts from deities, this is a really fucked up situation.
It may be funny to say “haha, evil triangle man is sexy” but at the end of the day, Alex stated that Bill has crossed over into our world. For all we know, he could be taking advantage of the fact that people thirst for him, probably not in pleasant ways.

Pit Babe ep 13 initial reaction
Okay let’s do the final photo review. Okay ep 11 10 12 weren’t for me but I think 13 was good. My initial rating has to be an 8/10. A very surprising 8/10.
I was EXTREMELY upset that the racing bl that I had been looking forward to was ABO I like race car driving in general so I really was said abo was gonna happen. However this show didn’t take ABO in the creepy ways I hate mainly the sexism and homosexuality of it all. Honestly it’s straight girl’s fantasy most of the time. As a lesbian I am turned off by the sexism and breeding 🤮. But Pitbabe was interesting and bearable idk if there are subsequent seasons will lean into those tropes but I hope not. I love the actor for Babe he’s extremely talented ep13 only cemented this for me. I really enjoyed JeffAlan, PeteKenta, and NorthSonic I thought they had a good amount of side character relationships. JeffAlan felt very natural and sweet. I loved the characters of Kim and Kenta just interesting. What I didn’t like was how clownery the plot was. It was a little cheesy hokey. I think the writing didn’t do any favors for Charlie either. Charlie is very V A N I L L A I don’t think it’s the actors fault. I’ve decided it’s writing. Although I think the motivation of Tony was cartoon villain the actor really brought the evil to life I enjoyed his portrayal of a cult leader really. Anyways let’s get on to the photo review
Tumblr media
Babe in this scene is just chef kiss if people question can bl peeps act show them this. He’s hysterical to see Charlie again. I was worried Babe would just accept Charlie back or be Angry but this is better. You can see he’s hurt but so happy Charlie is alive and with him that Babe is healed in a way. Charlie was being weird but I think it’s the writing. So beautiful in his emotions omg.
Tumblr media
Wow… the three of them beating up winner and NorthSonic uploading the video. So cool. Really these scenes had me sitting on the edge of my seat rooting for them. ALSO WE ALL KNOW I LOVE KIM. I’m on board with Kim being a third for NorthSonic. Kim is also very fashionable. He fits in perfectly.
Tumblr media
A little fall of rain can hardly hurt me now
You’re here and thats all I need to know
I’m glad someone died. I do find it poetic and fitting that Way died saving Babe very full circle. I didn’t hate Way as much as everyone else. He was wrong for what he did but… I feel like he had the bones and the actor to make a compelling rejected love interest. I do think babe always cared about way in a true friendship which was beautiful.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pete and Kenta bad ass bitches getting shit done. I think Kenta might legit be Tony’s child. Like biologically. That would be a good twist. I was said we didn’t get any PeteKenta reunion in the end.
Tumblr media
Alan and Jeff are so…
Idk they have very high chemistry. Jeff really feels like a person who hasn’t been exposed to the real world really and he’s truly trying to comfort Alan. To be fair Alan has been through a shit ton but he does feel that pain and seeks comfort in Jeff. It’s very sweet even though we get the sexy scenes for them.
Tumblr media
Quick note is way buried at the race track or something?! Why is his grave on his own?! Way’s ghost is going to be lonely…. It’s pretty but still.
Tumblr media
The my kid is sick and so I need to sell him trope is sadly something I’ve seen before BUT!!!! I enjoyed the Dad’s acting he seemed really torn about it and he never ever gave up.
Tumblr media
North Sonic’s contrast pants and hyping up Kim was perfect. Kim being happy to watch Babe and Charlie is very endearing. I hope Kim and Babe can be besties who push each other. I know Kim isn’t a special alpha but I like the dynamic of him being the best human? Idk. He’s 10/10 I love him.
Idk why Babe is so shy about Charlie lol it was very cute.
ALAN AND JEFF’s BRACELETS AND SNUGGLING ONTOP OF THE CAR OMG UNDERSTATED MARRIED COUPLE THINGS
Tumblr media
How beautiful. I really loved this show and I enjoyed the ending. I wish Pete and Kenta had been there but I found this very beautiful and meaninful. Babe and Charlie crashing Alan’s intricate date so they can be found family couples together gahhh I really loved the family aspect to the series it wasn’t super loud or overdone but you knew Babe Alan North Sonic were truly family who added in Charlie Kim Jeff.
Anyways I had fun idk what I’m watching next. I need to catch up on 23,5 or I’ll lose my lesbian card hahahaha but I am quite busy. If anyone has a suggestion for what I should start on next plzzz tell me. Other people motivate me more than myself hahaha.

Playing bg3 right now. Got to the point with the druids and the tiefling city. A couple of opinions about the party:
Lae'zel: I liked her a lot when I met her first (competent, straightforward, my type of girl) but she's being very rude about the tieflings. Given that I'm playing a tiefling... well. Not keen on the way she compared us to cockroaches or the way she made the tiefling bow- granted the tieflings did have reason to want to stab her. So liking her quite a bit less now. Still, looking at her respectfully. She is hot.
Shadowheart: Never really liked elves all that much. Not super keen on the way she did a racism at Lae'zel as soon as we met her, but the moments of emotional vulnerability have me liking her a lot more.
Astarion: Stupid loser bastard. That man is clearly a vampire- I mean, look at the eyes/teeth/the literal VAMPIRE BITE on his neck and the ten thousand clues he's been dropping. Sexy of him to greet me by holding a knife to my neck I thought he was going to rob me. He's such a fucking idiot I want to jump his bones.
Gale: This man has bard energy. At least, the way I play bards. Also kind of single dad energy? Just a random wizard running around. Just a Dude, if you will. Had to put him back in the campsite since I'm a sorcerer and party comp will get fucked though.
Wyll: Thought he was a paladin at first. Then he started doing warlocky things. I like how he acts it's a nonstandard edgy warlock thing, I hope his storyline pans out well. Really like his back-and-forth with Lae'zel about ever doing nice things with her life. Immediately taken with the fight scene I saw him in first, looked fucking epic.
Overall, I really love Mind Flayers. They're fucking cool, that little starter scene when I converted a woman into one was fucking nightmare fuel. I did see the button saying perfect and press it knowing what it would probably mean. What the hell were they doing in Avernus though. And isn't Zariel the angel who fell because she wanted to kill demons with GREAT PREJUDICE?
I've also been save scumming whenever I steal stuff a lot because, habit. I just want to collect all the boxes and put them into the campsite. Also reloaded the same save three times because I wanted Asterion to take that one potato off a crying guard. (Probably going to try to see if I can do a revivify on the dead guard later? I don't know if the game has the 1 min timer on revivify or not.) Also I do like how yoinking just makes people do 'hey wtf' or 'you're getting arrested' because instantly trying to kill the party is. Weird.
Also reloaded the save once because I couldn't revivify Shadowheart because she died on stairs that were on fire. I know how to play dnd I just have a hard time conceptualizing it with game graphics.
Lower level dnd's always interesting. The take action to restore someone else at 1hp is also... inspired. Would be interested to see normal downing rules- that would force me to think in more dnd terms to play the game. I also keep clicking wrong and wasting attacks on the space right next to a person.
Weird how everyone can use scrolls.
I hate the 1/short rest mage hand it's a fucking cantrip and it can do, like, nothing. Going to download a mod for it later.
Going to have to use the speak with dead amulet a lot I hope. I love that spell. Not quite sure how I feel about your camp being a separate room- I feel like it trivializes inventory management and sending things there is. Weird. Where is all the weight going. I do like stacking all the boxes I find though.
Thought the Absolute people were part of a mind flayer cult so had to kill a few of them.
Current leader druid is a bit cringe. Don't want to kill her but definitely ousting her asap. Stop being a dick to my people (tieflings). Also really liking the tiefling responses so far.
Also wonder at the deal about the tiefling village. They seem to have a lot of hell stuff going on there.
Anyway, this is cool! Looking forward to what happens next.

Iff you haven't just up and read her story: Glory's dad was a fascist in a human-supremacist Christian gang-thing named for the Prussian Crusade. When it turned out she was magic, she got beaten a lot for being the devil's whore. She fell in love with a woman that got her wrapped up in a community based around one charismatic guy that was everybody's leader. She became his concubine, just like the woman she loved, but also his enforcer. The guy leads her down a path towards a spirit that she is 100% confident was genuinely Satan, but the cosmology of the universe is less clear on that (the one true religion is a highly exoticized mix of indigenous American notions of spirituality highly syncretized with whatever the developers find cool from other faiths but does not get anybody in trouble for selling as a tabletop game). Maybesatan validates her hatred of authority and need to overturn systems and reinforces it with a bunch of halfway-reasoned academic philosophy. She she helps them kill and convert a bunch more people, especially happy to kill Christians for established reasons. When she kills her own mom, though, she snaps out of it and decides to run away and get the worst, oldest cybernetic augments she can find. The clunkiness of your cyberstuff directly correlates to how much spirit-connection gets severed.
Presumably, your comparison is because being a sexy antihumanist bisexual with a neutral demeanor from a christofascist family since broken apart around its patriarch. And master-servant dynamics? Idk
Sounds like a cool character, though I don't think "antihumanist" really fits?
Like, I am not human and don't want to be, but I consider my values to be basically (trans)humanist. "Antihumanist" makes me think of something different. I also never got recruited into a cult.
Also I don't think I would feel worse about killing my mother than about killing anyone else. I think killing is bad in general, but killing family is not extra bad in my opinion.

A lot of those novels have spanking (of varying kinds) in them, btw...
Below a cut bc I'd rather not have this like out in the open on people's dashes haha
Brackish is mostly about spanking kink between Basil (Christian) and Cassidy. It's also the story that - aside from the prologue - I've written from scratch the most. Basil does go into his childhood spankings a bit, bc they even prompted him to run away as a kid. He hated them and has a rough relationship with his parents. He's the dom and I WROTE THIS BEFORE 50 SHADES DO NOT @ ME ABOUT "CHRISTIAN" HE GOES BY BASIL ANYHOW, and besides his name wasn't Edward first :P Geckos, Automata deals with a lot of themes of abuse, and there is one spanking that happens "on screen" but otherwise they're in the background. A background theme is that abuse fucks you up... it even makes some people try to end the world. None in Teacup. The Hostile Credence is not your medieval typical fantasy, but it does have the normalization of beating your kids. Though many characters are against it/do not get raised that way. It's all off-screen though, mostly just mentioned or implied. The Dragons' Cosmos... Roscoe's dad is heavily patterned after my own. Absolutely unhinged, and child abuse in many forms. But it's only implied/happens off-screen. Before our Ghosts is fucked up. Bertrand has a spanking kink, but it's hard for him to do anything about his fantasies since his childhood was so traumatic. He thinks this part of him is "broken and dirty" :( Adversary further goes into this... this is one I'm so afraid people will not understand, so I tend to be scared to go into it. But it deals with two kids who discover they're spankos when they're young. They're physically punished in a very fucked up and religious cult. (Parents are even permitted to kill their children without punishment, bc "the kid must have deserved it" is the assumption.) A lot of people report that when they were young, they'd look up the word "spanking" in the dictionary (I DID THAT) and search for books with spanking scenes (I also did this). I wanted to translate that experience bc... I hate spanking IRL outside of consensual adult kink, and Adversary is meant to drive home what it's like for it to cause childhood trauma. But I fear I might find pitchforks at my door instead if it ever finds the wrong crowd. I've already been told that children are the ones who are fucked up if they get off on spanking. Which makes Adversary so necessary of a story to tell... Rascal does touch on similar topics, but it mostly focuses on Hazel being comfortable as a spanko with Ferdinand as his dom. It's mainly meant to be sexy and cute. A counterspell, if you will, to the darker stories. (It does have a bit of angst in the main story, though.)
Stargazers' Hill has some threats and an off-screen whipping (that was originally on-screen, but I preferred to switch it over to another POV), but like other stories, it was mostly part of the background of such a rough childhood. :( Serrated Petals is... well, unhealthy dubcon/noncon stuff that has some spanking between the three men
Outside of the spanking erotica I've written, my short standalone stories don't have any spanking.
The Will of the Whispering does mention child abuse, but the main character, Lester, is breaking a cycle as he raises his children. So it's more about his own childhood and what he's definitely not doing to his babies. Good for him for trying his best? :) Planetary Boundaries has mention of Trace and Andy having abusive parents, but both are in new situations almost immediately at the start of PB. There is mention of abuse/neglect with Sigurd's background, but "we can't be bothered to supply these wards of the state with food on a really distant planet more than once a year" is more of a government-related issue.
In the Pleasure Seekers series, Xavier is an asexual Incubus who ends up finding disciplinary (nonsexual) benefits in being spanked by his boyfriend. Zach mentions getting punished by his grandfather sometimes and hating him for it, but it's mostly just about Zach spanking his partner...s... (They are poly later, no spoilers!) Where the Lanterns Glow is like many of my stories, where spanking is a background thing? Spanking is actually unheard of outside of witching communities, and Nolwen's father slipped a couple of times even within those witching communities bc he felt pressured when Nolwen acted out. (Later, he finds out why his son acted out and feels like a monster.) Nolwen and Evander have some spanking kink they experiment with, and this all started bc I liked the idea of potion spoons getting used in kink... Magic swinging swatters, anyone? They're adorable. Evander is the one who gets spanked, mostly, but Nolwen is sometimes curious what it's like, so they switch. Rarely, but they do.
So yeahhh anyway. Sorry for the ramble if you read that hahahaha

The Mighty Nein summary but I’ve only seen clips and the animated recap once months ago.
I am also likely trying to fill in blanks so I might be making stuff up.
Caleb and Nott, Yasha and Molly, Jester and Fjord and Beau meet and decide to fight crimes despite most of the being criminals themselves
Something happens in a circus???
I really have no idea. Someone recognised Molly as Lucien but he has no idea who Lucien is
Molly gives Caleb a kiss during a bad PTSD moment
Fjord files his tusks down but they tell him not to do that anymore, he is beautiful how he is :)
I think this is where they meet Kiri, a bird creature that repeats things?
Fjord, Jester and Yasha are KIDNAPPED by… a slave trader? Idk Laura was having a baby and Ashley is always away
Molly, Caleb, Beau, Nott and a dwarf they make friends with decide to attack but the advice is bad and Molly fucking dies. Permanently because Tal is edgy.
Later the gang meet Caduceus chilling in a graveyard who makes tea and he decides to help them for some reason. I think his grove is turning poorly? Because of bad magic. His family also disappeared years ago. He wants to find them.
They defeat the slavers (???) and free their friends but tell them Molly died :(
Something something. At some point they meet ‘the gentleman’ who is very cool and a water genasi. Later they talk to Jester’s Mum and they realise that was her Dad :o I don’t know if we see him again
For some reason they get on a boat and are basically pirates. There is a captain of a ship called Avantika and she is sexy.
This is something to do with Fjord’s patron Ukotoa which is a sea monster? Because Fjord fell in the sea and almost drowned and made his warlock pact then. Ukotoa wants to be freed and Avantika wants that. The Mighty Nein don’t do this. They also meet the plank king. I think they defeat Avantika.
Now at some point they find a magic beacon and find out they should really give it back to the people it was stolen from. There is a war going on and the return of the beacon heals some sort of rift. They meet Essek and I think Matt meant for him to be evil but he is sexy. And he knows dunamis and time magic and Caleb is into that!
At some point they meet a beast or something that Yasha used to know and he turns her against her friends. I think they get her back but not for a while I think as Ashley had to go lol. They probs get her back with the power of friendship.
Fjord at some point turns his back on Ukotoa (I think he throws his sword away?) and then he has no warlock patron but then the wildmother becomes his patron. And we realise he was secretly English the whole time.
Nott is also revealed to be a halfling cursed to be a goblin by… goblins. It takes a while but she eventually turns back to a halfling. She has a dweeby husband and young son.
Beau is a monk from the Colbalt Soul who is doing something and fuck I realise I know nothing about Beau. Her Dad basically sold her to the Cobolt Soul but she doesn’t know that. She is angry.
Caleb’s story is a lot and we find this out through the campaign and we also catch glimpses of Eadwulf and Astrid. Caleb wants to bring back his family but realises that Trent is the real problem. He has massive PTSD.
Caduceus at some point brings back his family who were petrified in the source of the bad magic but continues with the Mighty Nein
They meet up with Essek at some point and he reveals that he is on the run (?) as he stole the beacons and gave them away (including to the Cerberus Academy) because he wants them to be studied because in his… empire? They’re revered as religious items and he is an atheist. This made the war worse but the Mighty Nein don’t mind as he is sexy. The beacons are ancient pre-calamity tech I think?
At some point Jester hosts Traveler con for her minor deity the Traveler. I think they do a task on a beach for a cult for a volcano monster, one of whom is an amnesiac mother of Keyleth. After defeating this fake volcano god they host traveler con and the Traveller is revealed to be Artagan who is a fae creature from C1 (jester might have already known this by this point in the story).
At some point they decide to revive Molly and his body is gone and they talk to Henry Crabgrass (a very important NPC) that confirms that someone revived him. But they later realise that it isn’t Molly it’s Lucien who has taken over the body once again.
Caduceus WRECKS Trent with an epic put down about how no-one will mourn him RIP Trent
Yasha and Beau finally romance each other :)
Laura successfully romances her own husband
Jester tricks an old hat in a hut with a cupcake with the dust of deliciousness.
They hunt Lucien. He’s trying to do something with portals… and a city… trying to transport it somewhere. I think.
They kill Lucien and decide to revive Mollymauk but fail but then Caducues uses divine intervention and brings him back fucking EPIC.
Mollymauk is now Kinglsey Tealeaf as he forgot his memories but these guys are familiar (apart from Caduceus who literally doesn’t know this guy).
Caleb tells Essek he doesn’t want to try and bring back his parents cos they are dead. He becomes a teacher and some fans don’t like this. He and Essek are together until they aren’t and some fans don’t like this. Beau and Yasha are together and so are Fjord and Jester and some fans don’t like this. Fjord and Jester and Kingsley go on a boat? Beau and Caleb decide to take down the Cerberus Academy. The end!

Not gonna participate in the maid shenanigans much (because busy) BUT
I will say that while some of my muses would be all about the idea (Eichi, Chiaki - he'd be embarrassed! but!!! - and maaaaybe Leo - if he can hide his arm with some cute or sexy gloves, and Hinata) others might not be as receptive.
(cut for brief talk about bad stuff like child abuse, CSA/incest, prostitution and the like)
Yuuta cannot fathom why Hinata would go along with something as stupid as a maid event because of their history with their dad and their time on the streets - where Hinata was the one who got abused the most even, since he tried his best to protect Yuuta. Yuuta finds the very idea degrading and inane.
Kanata does NOT want to show off all the scars he has, because that will bring questions and the less people know about the Cult, the better. Same with Madara, naturally.
Tatsumi and Rinne are both mildly amused by the concept but Tatsumi would dress up and wait on others as a way of repenting to the non-special students at Reimei rather than because he thinks it's fun, and Rinne does enough dress-up and the like when he prostitutes himself, no need to sully his idol dreams with that shit.

1984 for the ask thing. :)
Well, this sure did become a thing.
Film
This Is Spinal Tap - Almost forty years later, I have not stopped laughing at this movie. When I saw it as a kid, the mockumentary style threw me for a loop in the best way, because I was so used to seeing comedy that was showy and carefully timed, and the humor here feels off-the-cuff and real. Everything in my home goes up to 11.
The Muppets Take Manhattan - This film does not actually hold up except for the music, but the scene with Miss Piggy and Joan Rivers turned me into a 5-year-old drag queen.
The NeverEnding Story - Am I too old to harbor a tiny hope that I will someday step into a book and become the hero of its story? And get to ride on a big fluffy white dragon?
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension - It has been a couple of decades since I first watched this in college - drunk and/or high at midnight in the college theater - and I still have no idea what the fuck I just saw. But I'm pretty sure it was awesome.
Ghostbusters - My dad took me to see this in the theater when I was four, and I lasted a full 15 minutes before I got scared and started crying. I don't think my dad has forgiven me. Anyway, I like it better now.
Stop Making Sense - David Byrne's big suits were my first drag aesthetic, and the music. The weird, jittery, post-apocalyptic, transcendent music. Someday I will step into a suit and live in David Byrne's head.
Books
Neuromancer (William Gibson) - I read this the way it was meant to be read, at age fourteen, to impress the upperclassmen on the literary magazine staff. It felt prescient in the '90s, and now it's just uncanny. Gibson is one of those authors who doesn't seem like he turns much of a phrase, until you step back and see how immersive his worlds are.
The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Milan Kundera) - I pulled this off my parents' shelf in high school because it had a cool cover and read the whole thing while I was home with a cold. When I try to explain to people why I find it comforting to believe there's no afterlife, I wish I could hand them this book instead.
The Illuminatus! Trilogy (Bob Shea & Robert Anton Wilson) - More weird cult stuff that you have to read in high school or never. It's not... good? But it's great.
The Butter Battle Book (Dr. Seuss) - Every parent should teach their young children that the problem with war is that it's banal and nonsensical, and we can all do better.
Comics
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Kevin Eastman & Peter Laird) - My friend got her hands on trades of the early runs of TMNT in middle school, and the revelation of this darkly satirical source text of the TV cartoon was a pop culture coming-of-age moment. It's about superheroes as people, and adolescents as people, and gentrification and marginalization and homelessness and family, and it made me want to move to New York immediately.
TV
Muppet Babies - My generation has collectively forgotten most of the cartoons we watched at 8 AM on Saturday mornings while building pillow forts and Lego spaceships with our little brothers, but we've all retained this one.
V - I watched this by accident on a hotel room TV when I was way too young for it, and it creeped me out and made me fall in love with sci-fi in ways that I was surprisingly ready for.
Theater
Sunday in the Park with George - One of the great works of art about making art, from the perspective that process is inscrutable but people are not. The score bangs on dissonant chords until the exact moment when you think you can't take it anymore, and then it opens up into beautiful, soothing melody just long enough to really fuck you up again. Assume that whenever you read my writing, I hummed "Look, I made a hat!" just before posting.
Music
The Pretenders - Learning to Crawl - Chrissie Hynde's voice is so sexy, and the songs are full of a uniquely Midwestern longing.
Robyn Hitchcock - I Often Dream of Trains - Side A is all pranking on Freud and Christianity, and side B finds things to have faith in, even if Hitchcock still sounds like he's snarling.
R.E.M. - Reckoning - Mostly mournful and lovely, plus two absolute bangers that are retroactive bi pride anthems.
Depeche Mode - Some Great Reward - I bristled at this in high school when I thought it was edgy (but too pop), then embraced it in college when I realized it wasn't that edgy after all (but stunning).
Madonna - Like a Virgin - I can perform an improv lip sync routine to any song on this album, on demand.
Prince & The Revolution - Purple Rain The best pop album ever made. I am not accepting criticism at this time.

Ok cuz I’m sure that’s how it works. Blood dripping from the ceiling? Not noticing it in your paint? not getting a gradual increase in the colour of your paint when the blood was slowly dripping in?
I own a boat! XD XD XD XD Johnny Vong this is hilarious & I love it but ryan is so dumb to fall for it like bro my dude girl come on (also apparently ryan's warm milk with honey really does help him sleep)
Ryan come on don’t fall for it
F yeah! As a Métis fiddler, uh 100/10 to celtic fiddlers. You deserve the world. I know that we have a lot of french/french canadian in us, but dang the scots & irish had the right idea & I’m so glad we took after them too.
As a Métis folk catholic, 10/10 to irish catholics. You deserve the world.
Yayyyyy Gil Mazzaro again!
Poor Lanie, she has to be the one to find out
Ryan seriously at work?
Wow that’s lowkey xenophobic but I’m glad he included texas
I’m honestly kind of sad it was sexy beckett. Ryan totally should have been the one to cut it open & give it a taste, he’s the ex-narcotics detective.
Ok walking on glass? Yes you want to be slow. Walking on coals? You want to run.
KR: & which boxes contain the secret path to financial independence. He says, while stroking the CD case GIRL WHAT YOU CAN’T BE THAT GULLIBLE THIS IS CULT STUFF BRO DON’T EVEN LOOK AT YOUR SHOES ARE YOU INSANE THIS MAN HAS YOU HYPNOTIZED LIKE MY DUDE YOU ARE ON A MURDER INVESTIGATION this is the best B plot ever. At least Esposito threatens to pepper spray him SHUT UP SHUT UP you’re just embarrassing yourself more, my dude, of course it is a scam, you literally already know it is a front for a drug smuggling company
I love Roy Montgomery.
I decided to text my dad because of this episode
I mean like yeah at least this gang is… preventing drug addiction? (& then in future episodes we have smth up with detective slaughter in like what s4? & then we have fenton oconnell in s5, & while finn rourke's gang prevents drug addiction bobby s's gang causes it)
Dick coonan. He’s surprisingly diplomatic
That’s a lot of dough
Esposito’s got a nice jacket tbh! also a nice gun & like they pushed down an old man so ew but still: fashionable
Captain just shoot the guy without revealing your position to like maim him or smth. Btw that’s a lot of blood, it takes time to get out. Like bro??? What is even going on?
At least she used the back of her hand to push her hair out of her face rather than her bloody hands.
Ok so it took me a bit less time to watch this episode, only an hour & 15 minutes. Last ep it took about 90 mins. Of course during both episodes I took a break, once to read smth another time to watch a video my dad sent me

Ninja (2009), dir: Isaac Florentine
I have a lot of affection for this movie: it's not great, it has silly sound effects, a little goofy, went with CGI blood instead of squibs which looks bad, definite power rangers influence and not always in a good way; but I genuinely like the characters and their relationships with each other
we start with various characters at a dojo in Japan, we meet Casey (Scott Adkins) and Namiko Takeda (Mika Hijii) sparring and they definitely have crushes on each other, they're generally very cute but aren't acting on the obvious attraction yet
so Casey is obviously an American white guy, seemingly the only one at the dojo, and that's implied to be part of why another student Masazuka (Tsuyoshi Ihara) is so hostile
he intrudes into Casey's personal room around bedtime (while Casey is lost in thought looking at a photo of his mom) seemingly just to push his trauma buttons
"must suck not to have a heritage :) shame your mom abandoned you and your dad drank himself to death :)", it nearly provokes a fight but Sensei Takeda (Togo Igawa) scolds him
later they have a sparring match, it's a good showing but Casey notably struggles, it widely escalates and Masazuka tries to kill Casey, Sensei exiles him and everyone feels bad about it; it's not a bully getting kicked out to applause, it's a favored student with potential who has lost the family's trust
presumably months later, Masazuka has become an assassin for the Illuminati-esque Ring, he returns to the dojo mostly to threaten them about he's the only one who deserves to inherit the Yoroi Bitsu (a box of ninja gear that's culturally important), he's also here to stare threateningly at Casey, but comes off less "I'm going to happily murder you later" and more a come hither look
so Casey and Namiko are sent to New York with the YB to hide it in a museum for safekeeping, Casey's definitely focused on the task but him carrying the photo of his mom suggests he has a second motive, they then contact a an old friend of Sensei called Professor Garrison (Garrick Hagon)
they have a nice dinner with him and Prof asks how Casey ended up at the dojo, Casey proceeds to trauma dump to professor, "yeah my mom left me when I was 12 :) dad drove off a cliff :) a family friend dropped me off at the dojo so I'm perfectily fine", our boy definitely has unprocessed trauma
Masazuka slaughters those at the dojo (unclear how many), has the advantage with a high-tech ninja suit with infra-red vision, angry about Sensei rejecting him (definite parallel to Casey's history of abandonment), kills Sensei but realizes that YB has been moved, realizes location thru Namiko's phone messages
Casey goes to find mom, learns she died of a stroke months before; quietly comforted by Namiko, romantic undertone but interrupted by intruders who kill the professor
they get away and hide in motel, Namiko has quiet breakdown when she realizes her father is dead, they end up sharing a shower but it's more of a keeping warm/comfort than sexy, more trouble with police thinking they're suspects
next morning Casey panics when she isn't there, although just went down to coffee shop, another ambush, train fight, first kill, arrested by police
this is about where the film loses steam for me, the story still works okay but a little less gripping, also wish Namiko got a better showing because she struggles more in fights than Casey despite the beginning suggesting they were on equal footing
there's an interrogation where Namiko sticks to the cover story of visiting then running because they were scared of the attackers whereas Casey basically tells the truth about ninja assassins and isn't believed; Masazuka breaks into the precint, kills police and kidnaps Namiko
Casey tracks down the cult and calls Masazuka to make a deal, the Yoroi Bitsu in exchange for Namiko (she's willing to die to keep it hidden but he isn't)
final fight: meet at a construction site, Namiko freed when box is handed over, turns out box is empty because Casey decided to wear the gear instead, Namiko gets a good fight but poisoned and taken out of commision halfway through, Casey wins the fight and gets antidote for Namiko
ends with beheading Masazuka, interesting tone because it doesn't feel exultant, more like a grim necesity
final scene is Casey and Namiko at Sensei's grave before returning to the dojo, implied they're now a couple

Title: Luke, The Profiler
Series: Men of PSI #1
Author: Stacy Gail
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: January 10, 2023
BLURB
Eden
Polite society referred to my father as a “motivational speaker.” Fact is, he’s the kind of cult leader that makes national news, and never in a good way. For years I was part of that world—Tru Steadfast’s darling daughter, living in the spotlight while helping dear old Dad sucker his brainwashed followers out of every penny they had. Ultimately I couldn’t take that way of life, so I struck out on my own, trying to live quietly and hoping against hope that I could balance the scales of karma.
Then the stalking began, and I had to ask for help. That “help” came in the form of psychological profiler, Luke Keyes. From the moment I looked into his eyes—eyes that could see all the way to my tainted soul—I knew he was more dangerous than any stalker ever could be.
Luke
When Eden Steadfast parked her high-class ass on Private Security International’s doorstep, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing… and not seeing. Maybe the statuesque blonde with kitten green eyes had knocked me off my game, but she wasn’t showing me any of the usual tells everyone else on the planet had. She was smart, maybe even smarter than me, because no matter how hard I looked I couldn’t see past her defenses. Who knew smart could be so damn sexy?
Eden was more of a mystery to me than her stalker, and I wanted to unravel her in the most carnal way possible. But before I could do that, I had to find the man who’d decided that if he couldn’t have Eden, no one would.
Private Security International is the one-stop shopping for all your personal security needs. From bodyguards, to private couriers, to an added layer of military-trained security for high-target events or items, the Men of PSI are the best private security that money can buy.
114,000 words
***MEN OF PSI: LUKE, THE PROFILER is a work of romantic suspense, which includes a genius Alpha male who’s met his match in more ways than one. As always, no cliffhangers, love triangles, or cheating. Due to adult language and several sex scenes—with a teensy bit of spanking and light bondage thrown in for giggles (you’re good with that, right?)—this book is not intended for readers under the age of eighteen.***

I'm just filling it out because I need input and my solution is to create output
Tumblr media
01. Jeremiah Jericho - yes that's a fucking lot of name. He's been around for a good 20+ years in little snippets of story that I've never quite made into anything substantial.
02. The newest character who is like ... genuinely an OC not tied to any fandom nonsense? I think it's probably Iris the flower person.
03. Either Rob Tierney, eternal fuckup, or Nando & Chente & JC, who exist only as a unit.
04. ??? They're almost all masculine. I don't draw/design them, they are created to fit into a particular stories.
05. They almost never emerge independent of some kind of larger story idea. So they develop to fit the story I'm trying to tell.
06. I just start writing and eventually I get to know them better. Sometimes it's fun to look at those lists of character questions and see if I know them well enough to answer like ... what music they listen to or what they'd do in a particular situation, but I don't necessarily feel the need to know them that well to write about them.
07. No? They exist in my stories. IDK why I'd ship them with someone else's characters. (This questionnaire might be geared toward more fannish stuff than I'm imagining as I answer this.)
08. I've never really decided whether there's something sexual going on between Chente and JC, but I like the idea of it. Also, Iris and their current partner/caretaker. I've never fully got a handle on their dynamic, but there's deep love there.
09. I mean ... obviously the genderless flower person who lies down in a field and "dies"/becomes dormant each winter and then pops back up out of the ground in a new human form each spring.
10. IDK, JC's dad? I don't tend to write stories with villains. I write stories where the characters need to overcome their own fuckups and hangups and personal shit. JC's dad is a shitstain, though.
11. I don't consider myself nice or mean to them. I don't tend to think of myself as doing something to them. It feels more like recording/figuring out what they're up to.
12. Chavela dies. IDK that I think of it as me killing her, but she dies.
13. The whole premise of Rob is that he's going to be a father and he's a fuck up who needs to get his shit together. Generally the characters that are my focal points don't have kids, but I also created their parents, so ... I have also created parental characters. Chavela has Chente and Nando, but she's not the focus because she's already dead.
14. I created this whole cult that was loosely based on the Book of Samuel, but creating the court of Saul and then David as a modern cult was more exciting than doing anything with them once they existed.
15. Iris. I fucking wish Iris came more easily because I really think there's something there.
16. Yikes. I write short characters only. Everyone is tiny.
17. Iris is both immortal/eternal and reborn every year, so they are always both the oldest and the youngest.
18. I don't think I dislike any of them because otherwise I wouldn't write about them? I'm literally doing this because I want to.
19. I mean, most every (lead) character is a self insert to a greater or lesser degree for me, but nothing overt since fannish stuff when I was in about 6th grade.
20. I regret not feeling comfortable writing about Iris's relationship to gender. I'm not sure if that's a development issue or what, but I find it frustrating and wish I knew how to go back and fix it. I also kind of regret not figuring out what JC's deal is with gender.
21. People found Iris sexy. I didn't see that coming, especially from my very straight teacher.
22. I have a deeper compassion for Chavela than I thought I would.

Okay here’s the next one. So,
Fairy Tail
Favorite character: Ooooo this is a tough one. Erik is very high up there, but Natsu is also very high up, and he’s got more canon material than Erik for sure. Honestly, I started watching the show because of Natsu’s pure love for his dragon dad and his ability to be reckless and emotionally literate at the same time, so he gets a special place in my heart just for that. Plus I am a sucker for the chaotic energy.
Least Favorite character: Richard Buchanan. I don’t understand. He gets literally magicked into being a good guy by something that’s supposed to turn somebody into the complete opposite of what they are, and now he’s just a swell guy that talks about love? And we’re supposed to be okay with that? “Oh dear oh me where is my little brother?” You were on the same island for years including after the cult was booted how do you not know where—?!
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Alright time to play the “how will the non-shippy person respond?” game. Ummm... Honestly, most of the FT ships depends on context for me? Sometimes it’s cool and sometimes it’s weird. Though if I had to pick some that I am usually down to see or read, I’d go with Gajevy, Albis, and maybe Jerza, Stingue, and Zervis? (Oh, and Seilah/Kyouka are sexy in a bad-guy kind of way, so good for them.)
Character I find most attractive: Okay so I’ve spent too long thinking of these characters as my babies, so I don’t think I can answer that question. But as far as who I think has a neat aesthetic/character design that I vibe with, it’s Loke’s human design. Lad’s in a parka, t-shirt, and jeans and that slaps. Good for him.
Character I would marry: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ur. (No I don’t want to talk about the inevitable tragedy, but woman knows what she’s about and she’s got that special honest brand of mom energy that’s not condescending, and I dunno, I vibe with that.)
Character I would be best friends with: Mystogan. We’d never talk and vibe in silence and then bond over the stray cat that we are definitely both feeding.
A random thought: The Magic Council is strangely efficient, despite seeming not to do anything, since they managed to become a global superpower when just a hundred years ago, mages were being hunted for sport. And since there’s not any lingering anti-mage sentiment coded into the law system, they technically did their job pretty well. (Yes this is probably just Mashima not world-building, but it’s an interesting thought nonetheless.)
An unpopular opinion: I mean, I have a lot, but let’s go broad here: the racebuilding sucks. (Well, the world-building in general, but that’s not a surprise. Mashima I love you man but we all know you didn’t plan out your world.) But this specifically crops up with the demons. We hear about demons mostly through the context of Zeref’s demons and Mirajane’s experiences, both of which paint them as bad scary evil things. This is fine! This is context! We see Lullaby, and it tracks, but then we see Galuna island—the only instance in the show where we see non artificially created demons—and they’re all nice! This is a pleasant surprise! We get to address societal bias, a bias that runs so deep that even the amnesiac demons that they were hideous and they had all adapted forms to hide— Oh wait nevermind that plot point is dropped entirely and all of Zeref’s demons are treated as evil bad demons despite being normal dudes that are just prideful shits occasionally (ya know, normal traits; see: every other FT villain) but they still get treated narratively like taking them down is no different than destroying ghouls or whatnot. (Torofuzar and Seilah were even at the beginnings of understanding their moral flaws! Some of them cared about each other!!!) And then Natsu has a big ~not a monster demon~ struggle, like wtf does him being part demon matter? Aside from the latent kill-Zeref programming there is literally nothing different about demons from other rational creatures and in this essay I will— *gets dragged away from keyboard*
My Canon OTP: Gajevy. It starts off very awkward, but Gajeel just does the normal ex-bad guy thing of trying to make up for what he did to Shadowgear, because it wasn’t personal before but it’s an awkward little gesture that gets the ball rolling, and it’s pretty slow at first but there’s a developing mutual respect that they get, because Gajeel sees how strong and smart Levy is, and Levy sees how kind he can be, aaaand then they choose to banter at each other’s expense and slowly start sharing a brain cell. Mashima’s inability to write redemption arcs aside (another hot-take, no time to go there) I found the process neat. That, and Levy kicking Gajeel in the face for dying was a great scene.
My Non-canon OTP: *slaps brain to try to boot up the non-existent shipping program* Stingue I guess? I’m torn on this one, because they absolutely have a dynamic going on, and they have a yin-yang balance while also being on the same brain cell and that’s absolutely amazing, but my ace gen-loving found-family brain kicks in with the dragon slayer sibling dynamic and that supersedes the shipping glasses and then makes it awkward because I’ve been two years into an AU where they’re 12-year-old adopted brothers so... Yeah, it goes back to the different scenario thing. I don’t feel strongly about ships but I can easily brotp things. Heck, I think I brotp-ed gajevy in my fic too; they’re just gremlins that tease each other so I dunno how to ship my dudes
Most Badass Character: I mean, there are a lot of them for sure, but Erza is definitely up there. She’s a one-man army and she simultaneously doesn’t give any flips and she cares greatly about justice, and she follows through. Her Pandemonium fight was one of the reasons I gave Fairy Tail a chance, and I certainly don’t regret it. She’s versatile and extremely skilled in a number of weapons and fighting styles; mad lad. She has my respect. (Shout out to Gajeel though; dude got a sword thrust through his arm and he kept trucking. Absolute machine right there.)
Most Epic Villain: Erik’s terrible at being a villain but he’s an epic dude and I love him. Um, Acnologia was shafted as far as villains/villain arcs go, but he had the build up to be a really great fight, and his attack on Tenrou was mad cool. So there’s that. (*Pencil ignores the question and starts to ramble about her favorite AU characters*)
Pairing I am not a fan of: A lot of them, tbh, but if I’m in the business of sharing unpopular opinions, I don’t like Gruvia or Fraxus for similar reasons: they are one-sided obsessions. Yeah, sure, they have room to be some decent ships, but I’m not a fan of the “learn to love” trope when it comes to good ships. That’s what you do with, I dunno, your estranged family member. Juvia projects adoration onto Gray, and Freed projects adoration onto Laxus, and the other side seems pretty neutral (or down-right uncomfortable) about it, and as somebody who easily gets squeamish with affection, I’m not a fan. (Also I don’t normally vibe with any ship that involves Natsu, but that’s definitely because I have associated him with my own aro let’s-hit-the-found-family-button-instead tendencies and I enjoy that.)
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): All of them. I could be here all day, tbh, because a lot of Fairy Tail characters are rooted in interesting and unique characterizations, but they can be written into archeyped positions depending on the scene. However, for the sake of argument, I’ll open one of my favorite can of worms: Jellal. Jellal is shown to be a caring and optimistic young lad, despite the awful conditions, and he’s protective of his friends. But then this eleven-year-old gets beaten, tortured and taunted, and he finally has this cracking moment by himself when he lets himself get angry, and then!!! he’s immediately brainjacked by Ultear!!! Kid gets sped-run through Brainiac 5′s mind poisoning arc, and unlike with Brainiac 5, there is absolutely no one who honestly tries to beat him out of it until years later. (And Simon! Who knew something was up! Just wanted to kill him!!! *deranged pencil laughing in the back*) So when he shows up later, amnesiac and back to being a self-sacrificial pure-bean, and I’m hyped. This was the Brainy recovery arc I was robbed of when the LoSH cartoon was discontinued. We get to explore the mental repercussions of being manipulated into having ambitions and feelings that are not your own! The magical representation of intrusive thoughts and emotional manipulation! Sure, the amnesia schtick was cheap, but okay Mashima just wanted to speed it along so— NOPE. Jellal gets plucked up by Ultear (the chick who manipulated him), and then all of a sudden he’s this edgy loner who has to ~atone for his sins~ and he’s all cool and mysterious (he occasional has dork moments and I treasure them like a starving dog gathers up crumbs) and he becomes focused on justice or whatever and my dreams of an emotional recovery and re-self-discovery arc are crushed and nothing but broken glass in my hands. *muffled crying pencil noises*
Favourite Friendship: Oooo there’s so many, but sticking to canon-land, I really liked Gray and Loke’s friendship??? Dudes were content to asking no questions and just passively supporting each other, and they way they interacted on Tenrou and tag-teamed, whether in fighting or teasing, so easily was so cute. And then we never saw it again. Gray and Natsu are also a good brotp, even though it has a....rocky start.... But when they got that “nobody can mess with him but me” brother energy, I dig it.
Character I most identify with: Low-key Rogue. Dude was wall-flowering social-chameleon-ing his way through life, sticking to the fringes of conflict with this little frog sibling, and he can bounce between being forced to have all the brain cells and be the voice of reason and being a chaotic and overprotective gremlin ready to fight people. I feel it so hard.
Character I wish I could be: You know what? Rogue. I’ll take his magic and I’ll gladly beat Sting (lovingly) over the head too. Plus, Frosch. (I would say Frosch, but I do not want their sense of direction.) He gets to be low-key in charge of a guild while having none of the actual responsibility for it, and I vibe with that position. It’s all about them tag-team skills.
