I started this illustration back in February after listening to the track The Liminal on Chelsea Wolfe’s new album. The lyrics made me think of Granger Taylor, a Canadian man who was never seen again after leaving a note for his family stating that he was going to leave his life on Earth behind and travel the stars with extraterrestrials. The concept also made me think of my late mother, who was fascinated by aliens and had a few anomalous light sightings herself! This drawing took me out of my comfort zone, but I really liked the idea and my mom has been on my mind lately, so I found the drawing process to be cathartic 🛸💚

I love each of my stories for different reasons, and they're all self-indulgent for different reasons. Geckos indulges in my love of prairie settings and steampunk, and I do love writing queer villains. ;) (And this one is for sale, if you can reblog this post it can get word out about my book and possibly help my sales! ;D ) Rascal was such kinky nonsense, and my favorite kind of ship was involved: an absolute idiot sweetheart masochist with an even bigger sweetheart dom who'll spank his ass until he purrs. Also... steampunk again. Seasons is letting my trauma run around in a sandbox game setting and letting it build whatever the fuck it wants to while I induldge in all the descriptions no one ever needed. Is it too long? Yes. Do I care? lmao not anymore, I'm gonna be working on side stories of this stupid series until I die at this point. The Elephants Always Come Back is me getting to work with horror and environmentalism, but also... I love writing healthy families. Mirza's parents are genuinely wonderful people. Then I have gay tailors and zombie animals and Moswen. Can't forget about dear Moswen. All my dragon universe stories just show I'm a dragonfucker, I'm not even going to pretend otherwise. Also, horny for geographical details and nature, again. Only I get to add space in some of the stories. SPACE. And rewrite science. Is fun! Dragons are born on stars and create planets and what if I imply time travel is a thing??? Anyway, I'm currently working on side stories today! I'm going to be releasing a published compilation of Geckos side stories eventually, but my guess is that it'll be ebook-only, and a couple of those side stories will remain public to read! You can just choose to also buy them (along with the other side stories that will be released). :) Geckos won't have a sequel. I'm also writing Seasons stuff. I'm bouncing between both stories today, which is... not what I had planned? I was going to read. I have library books I need to return in two weeks when I go back into the city for a safety course. I will do it all! I HAVE COFFEE AND SPOONS. Anyway, please boost Geckos, and thank you for boosting and/or buying, ILU if you do one or the other or both, and you can't change my mind. :)
