What a productive day!! I spent an hour trying to figure out why one of the options in Final Girl was not working only to realize I had a pair of apostrophe's instead of a quotation mark that was fucking with the code!!! Seriously, that was mildly rage inducing. But I am also baking bread for the first time in six years and that feels great, plus I remembered my sisters birthday is next week and I am making her something. I also made some progress making a hair pin I have been designing based on Olivier's sword from FMA. So yeah, productive day!!! It will probably be my last one of the year 😋

I am not dead just severely busy! Days 74-109. I have so much to talk about this time!
So at work (Can't show that due to NDA) I've been bug chasing, and ultimately having to restructure many classes and methods to make one function work as intended.
Then for my C# final I'm still working on my .Net Maui project I finished the journals implementation, and added the event reporting function. I added the events to the journal entry for the day. If there are no entries yet it makes one. I am going to be using the library of microcharts that were used in xamarin (before Xamarin got depreciated into .Net Maui) now it can be used for .Net Maui. I'll be capturing data gathered in the journals to display on graphs to track progress in sleep disorders. At a later time I'll be getting it set up to grab information from sleep tracking apps on mobile.
In C++ my final is to make a game. I am making an adventure game where you can explore a village. It has lore, Easter eggs, and fun imagery (it's a console game unfortunately can't do Unreal). I have to change the code a bit but it has been fun to code!
I might have a contract role coming up for another game studio, so that's exciting.
My plans for the next few days is to get some functionality on the statistics tab in my Maui app, and get my C++ project more put together. At work I'm waiting on the senior dev to plan out how to fix the massive problem we have.

the good place had like. one of the only series finales i genuinely felt so good about and both cried and laughed throughout. and so many times shows end on a big change (whatever team disbands or someone dies or people move out or just all separate in general) but tgp was one of the few that felt like an actual progression of the characters and the story and not just “we need to wrap it up folks”?? idk i just loved that show

Having difficulty with the speech Gel gives the MC to convince them to team up. Before my crash back during the summer I had it written out perfectly and I really liked it, but I just can't seem to replicate it this time. So I apologize in advance if Gel isn't actually that convincing at first. It will be something I come back to and work on frequently but will not delay the next update.
Also have two more stories that take place in the Symbiosis world specifically Aeon Falls. One a few decades before where the MC is a former villain who has to team up with her old family to save her new one, and one that begins around the same time as Symbiosis and has the MC flung back in time to France in 1419 during the Siege of Orleans.
I've accepted the fact that I can't just work on one or two stories at a time...I'll get one completed, eventually, probably Symbiosis first, then Final Girl and In My Skin.

So I've had no time to write today bc work etc etc but I've been thinking about it like All day and
I have chapter 17 all plotted out, and tbh could potentially write it in a matter of days, brain willing. It's finally back to Not action, which as fun as action is to write its also fucking Hard. So it'll be nice not having to agonize over the sound of a fucking chain (Twice) etc etc. Add in the fact that it's gonna be angsty as hell (angst is always the Easiest for me to write) & I rly think I could knock this one out quickly.
And the Great news is that. Examining the timeline and what I have planned...
Wolfwood is definitely arriving in chapter 18. And not at the end like I'd suspected. No, he's probably gonna be there towards the Start.
I've gotten through the two most difficult arcs to write for early ITNL, so the ball is really rolling now. We are Finally getting places...
