awh your long review made my week! thank you so much for taking the time to write it! i smiled knowing it made you happy and that your experience reading it was so positive! i'm going to reply in the same format you used to make it easier c:
i'm glad you felt the tension of the fight! when i was first brainstorming, i just had some sporadic ideas and random dialogue lines. one of those original lines was from the fight: “I can’t stay any longer. My one o’clock fuck is waiting for me.”
to say "pretty please (stay with me)" might be your fave cheol fic is so kind of you! also, i loved that you were so invested in it and finished it in two days!!! D: that's so skfjds MY HEART.
i'm glad you could relate to the mc! she's refreshing to write since most of my mcs tend to be more... nicer? lol. i think cherry is still nice, but you just gotta get used to her! someone had said she was a tsundere, and i think that sums her up pretty well lol
scoups as a model would've been a hit! i actually have an idea about this that i may turn into a drabble or one shot hehe. i like how they met too! their relationship felt very organic in that it was gradual in its development c:
im happy you liked the storyline!. i really just wanted a reader x cheol fic where both characters are very different from each other (and that had lots of angst haha). my long (10-15k) one-shot idea turned into so much more.
i agree; it was satisfying to write heh! and then if you cut them off, you'd have to see them a lot since you'd both be in a lot of the same classes due to the same major. plus, things are always easier said than done.
usually, i wouldn't have the mc be the one to initiate violence, but i reminded myself that cherry is NOT like my other mcs so instead of hajun slapping cherry; cherry slapped her.
tbh, i didn't anticipate for hajun and hana to be so mean LMAO. like i wanted them mean, but not necessarily meaner than cherry, but oh well. i think they can all be mean in their own ways.
thank you again for being so kind and sending me your thoughts and reactions. i absolutely love seeing people's thoughts about my work! we all have different POVs, so it's nice to see other's thoughts.

I need codependent Danny/Jason as a little treat (for me) and I love the idea of them having some sort of instant connection the moment they meet (bc ghost stuff idk)
Danny who's been dropped in Gotham with no way home (alt universe??) and he's been here for 36 hours and having a Very bad time senses a liminal being and immediately latches onto them heedless of the fact that his new best friend is shooting at some seedy guys in an alley and goes off about how stressed he is and how he can't make it back to the ghost zone and what a bad day he's been having (and it's important to note Danny is a littol ghost boy literally hanging off of Jason's neck as he floats aimlessly) and Jason is like "who are you??" And Danny is like "oh sorry I'm Danny lol" and then just continues lamenting his woes
And honestly ? This might as well happen. Nothing about this Danny guy(is he human?) gives Jason a bad vibe and tbh he's never felt more calm and level headed before so he just keeps up his usual Red Hood patrol and doesn't even think about it when he heads back to a safehouse and feeds Danny dinner (breakfast) before crashing for half the day
The only thing I actually need is Jason meeting up with the bats for some sort of Intel meeting and they're like "uhhh who's that" and Jason is like "that's Danny." And does not elaborate (very ".... What do you have there?" "A smoothie" vibes)
And it takes them a while to realize that these two have known each other for less than 12 hours and are literally attached at the hip
#very remora fish with a shark#jason todd#danny fenton#danny phantom#dpxdc#dp x dc#this isnt super important but i imagine Danny's ghost form as young and unaged from his death so jason is used to this small whispy kid#who just hangs off him and talks literally all the time#so when something comes up and someone is like 'idk if we can bring danny looking like... that' (glowing and a literal ghost)#danny is like 'oh ok u need a human? ok :)' and transforms#its been WEEKS#jason didn't know he could do that#nobody did#and now theres this 20ish dude standing there#human form danny doesn't talk a lot (anxiety) ghost form danny can't stop talking (anxiety)#could be a ship fic and at this point jason goes from 'where is my little buddy :(' to 👀😳#i imagine theres a sort of feedback loop with them both feeding off of each other's ecto energies and vibes idk#so when danny is human its not as strong#batman is convince this strange entity is like hypnoyizing his son and like hes not WRONG#but it goes both ways#idk#i just need more codependency fics :(#i should go on a bender#ignore my 500 open tabs and go to town

Hello hello everyone!
We have started work on the next version of Deadly Revelation! We do not currently have an estimated date of release, so apologies for not being able to pinpoint that, buuuut...
In anticipation, we want to thank everyone who has played and run the game so far. Cecil’s gotten a lot of good data from running on their end, but we wanted to put out a little survey to gather feedback so that we know what things work and what things don't. situation ask game: joe hills for 16?
16. Meeting past/future self
"Howdy!" Joe Hills says.
"Howdy!" Joe Hills says back. "This seems to be quite the predicament."
"Oh god, there are two of them," whispers Doc. He'd just wanted to check on the log shop, man. Joe had said something about fixing some redstone (inherently terrifying to hear), and he'd just wanted to come check on it and inevitably fix the fixed redstone, and now there are two of them.
"I have to say," the first Joe Hills--presumably, the original one, given that he's insisting on saying everything through that stupid hand puppet he made this season, although Doc couldn't tell you--says. "I'm fairly certain seeing my own ghostly visage is normally considered a bad sign in most literature. Luckily, this isn't literature, so I can ignore the ill portent."
"Alas, I am, in fact, a bad omen," the second Joe Hills says, all too cheerfully. The second Joe Hills does not have a hand puppet and appears by all measures to be a ghost. Doc would generally agree that's a bad sign too, except for the fact that the Joe he knows is a ghost about fifty percent of the time, and oh no, he's already confused. There are two of them and he's already confused.
Maybe he should go get some coffee. The cafe Cleo set up is supposed to be good, and if he's this confused, maybe he'll manage to get himself to walk past the cats before he remembers he's supposed to be scared.
"Oh no," Doc's Joe says. "I don't have time for bad omens. For one, I'm not any good at killing pillagers. For another thing, I'm busy. See I was trying to help and I accidentally broke Doc's redstone and I feel bad because I think he's like, actually for-real mad about it, not fake mad, and we're supposed to be business partners, right, so I thought I'd come here and fix the redstone. Except then when I was hanging out with Mumbo at the end of our setup confessional Mumbo mentioned something and I just now remembered it and I think I fixed it wrong, so I'm here to try to figure that out, and that means I really don't have time for a bad omen."
"We never do," the ghost Joe says, shaking his head.
Doc, weirdly, feels touched.
"So if you could go away and give me dire warnings later--"
"Sorry, I don't have time to be put off for later! If you put this off for future Joe, you're putting this off to me! Then I'll have to do this all over again, and it'll be a closed time loop. Or, I guess mostly closed, because I don't remember this. But maybe you hit your head and forget everything! I don't know! I don't know how time travel works, but closed time loops were always the really confusing ones because they try to make sense. If we don't try to make sense you might still be able to change things."
"Oh no. What if this is a self-fulfilling prophecy?"
"I hadn't considered that," the ghost Joe says.
"I mean, everything I've ever read says that in trying to avert catastrophe, I am likely to accidentally cause it!" Doc's Joe says.
"Maybe the solution is for you to not believe my warnings?" the ghost Joe says. "No, that always ends badly too. That means there's dramatic irony!"
"Right, right. Maybe you just have to be as clear as possible, so I can't misinterpret your words?"
"No, I think the solution is to be vague," the ghost Joe says. "Good prophecies are normally vague that way. I mean, I'm mostly just here to tell you how to avert the nasty end of the world that kills everyone super dead, not anything too complicated! If I put too many details in, I'll leave in a dramatically appropriate loophole by accident, and then you'll never manage it."
"True, but Cleo says that I should always be given exact instructions, or I'll do the wrong thing on purpose," Doc's Joe says.
"We do that even more with exact instructions."
"That is true! And I guess it's harder to remember exact instructions?"
"Maybe the solution, given that I am going to vanish back to the past in five minutes," the ghost Joe says, "is that I should simply write down my instructions. That will make them harder to misremember or misinterpret."
"I will lose those too! This is too much responsibility!"
"I know! That's what I said!" ghost Joe says. "I said, why are you asking me. I mean I know the ghost thing is the only reason I can do this, but I don't want this kind of responsibility! I am not trustworthy! You all have known this since, like, day one, stop putting this kind of stressful responsibility on me! I do weird things when I'm stressed! I mean, I'm always stressed--"
"That's true, we are," Doc's Joe interjects.
"--but this is even more stressful than that! If I thought anyone else could do it, I would have said no! And now I don't know how to--"
"Man, if the world is going to end and kill all of us, stop worrying and just say how," Doc says, stepping out of his hiding place and throwing up his hands. "You're wasting time!"
"Oh, you're right," ghost Joe says. "So, the world will end when--"
He vanishes.
Doc and Doc's Joe stare after ghost Joe into the distance. Finally, Joe, with the world's most betrayed expression, turns to Doc.
"You scared me off!" he says. "If you hadn't shown up I'm sure I would have explained eventually."
"WHAT," Doc says as calmly as possible back. It does not appear to appease the Joe he's left with at all.

i see some videos like ‘you should never go to art school its a sham!!’ and then everytime its someone.. who went to art school and they go well i did learn a lot BUT. and i guess i just wish art school was cheaper and more accessible because it is clearly worth something its just not worth how much it fucking costs
#but i get really dubious when people say shit like ‘you can learn everything you need from youtube’ because i also dont think thats true#some form of mentorship is important and you need feedback and crits#i just hate that its so unachievable to get that without art school

i dont think a lot of people realize why separating the good and evil of someone isnt possible, so im going to try and explain it ^_^
to sum it up rq: what the good and evil actually are is the moral code and animal instincts of a person. having both is what makes us human. if one was taken away or separated, we'd lose our humanity.
firstly, there is no good and evil. the good and evil jekyll is referring to is his repressed desires and impulses. but, as i described in one of my previous posts, there's a reason for these desires and impulses. to sum it up, that reason is the animal instinctual need for whatever benefit you may get by doing it. there is no consequences or guilt when it comes to instincts. the reason these must be controlled is because some of these, especially jekyll's, instincts, impulses, and desires goes against society's morals.
i think a lot of people have already know that, but because the separation between them is distinct, why is it physically impossible? because having both is what separates us between animals and robots. animals only have animal instincts, experiencing very little guilt or fear of consequences, especially if they aren't domestic. their lack of awareness is what puts them lower in the food chain, what makes them 'stupider'. robots, on the other hand, have nothing besides the principles and ethics that they're programmed with. they have no instincts or desires to do anything outside of what they've been told is right. this is also why we fear them gaining any sort of soul or natural instincts, because of the power that comes with it. people have both, we have been gifted with both instincts and morals, nature and nurture. if either were taken away, we would no longer be human, wed lose our humanity.
