$75,000 could do wonder in Palestine, Congo, and other places going through a horrible situation. It could bring medical supplies, feed families, help families evacuate, help bring education, etc. Btw that’s the amount you have pay to go to the met gala. 🇵🇸

They're also censoring people who use these tags on X. Sudanese creators and activists who are talking about their experiences -and often not able to share extensive details about their sufferings because if they do, they could be killed for sharing information. Saying 'genocide' is getting their posts flagged and accounts banned too. We need to be talking about this too.

$3,064/$30,000
This campaign was started by @/atute_insp on tiktok and her team Mutual Aim to collect money for the DRC, Sudan, and Tigray. The donations will be divided between the three causes. If you would like do donate but don't have the funds to donate to multiple campaigns, this is a great way to help both the Congo, Sudan, and Tigray.

Deaths in Sudan could reach 10,000 per day in the coming months if the mass displacement of people caused by a year-long civil war sparks famine. The dire projection, which represents a worst case scenario and would put the conflict on a par with the worst days of the Battle of the Somme, was being urgently debated by Western envoys and diplomats this week. Other actors, including the World Food Programme, say the estimates are exaggerated but accept that a major humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding.
It is already the world’s biggest single displacement crisis, with up to 11 million people, including four million children, forced from their homes and farms. Millions of refugees have fled into neighbouring Chad and South Sudan. And, across the region, some 25 million people are now unable to feed themselves properly, with at least five million on the cusp of famine, according to the United Nations.

one of those masterposts for Sudan 🇸🇩
Disclaimer: I am not Sudanese, and am in no way an expert on the ongoing crisis. Corrections, if any, are welcome.
LAST UPDATED: 26th April 2024 [Please try to reblog the original post as much as possible]
~
So what's going on in Sudan? Sudan was under the rule of the military dictator Omar Al-Bashir for thirty years. He came to power through a military coup in June 1989. His rule saw extreme economic decline, repression, and conflict. In the December of 2018, a democratic revolution began that eventually overthrew the dictatorship on April 11, 2019, and saw the beginning of a military rule by militant parties SAF (Sudanese Armed Forces) and RSF (Rapid Support Forces). This unrest is, of course, funded by western governments.
On the 15th of April, 2023, fighting broke out in Khartoum between the SAF and RSF. Clashes spread across the nation of Sudan, and the civilian populace is still caught in the middle. According to UN officials, Sudan is in “one of the worst humanitarian nightmares in recent history."
There is an ongoing war in Sudan, and it's getting worse. There is a health crisis along with the humanitarian crisis as well: around 2/3rds of the population do not have access to healthcare services. Around 15-20 millions suffer from hunger. There are 70 non-operational healthcare facilities in conflict zones. Thousands killed, millions displaced, and a dramatic increase in sexual violence and rape cases.

48 million people in Sudan still can not contact their families across the diaspora. They're cut off from the internet, which includes their online banking services as well. Thousands of displaced Sudanese people were also recently turned away as asylum seekers:

This continues to be horrifying. Please keep talking about Sudan.

Original post by @Kandakat_alhaqq on Twitter:
"My organization, Amal For Women (http://Amalforwomen.org), annually conducts a Ramadan food basket initiative for Sudan. Our nonprofit previously funded businesses for single mothers pre-war, alongside a successful orphan sponsorship campaign. Traditionally, we fundraised before Ramadan and our Sudanese representatives procured and distributed the baskets to families in need. However, due to the ongoing war, this year we're shifting to providing financial assistance instead of physical baskets, prioritizing safety and practicality in aid distribution. Typically, each basket costs around $70 and includes essential items like rice, sugar, tea, onions, wheat, cooking oil, pasta, dates, milk, and lentils. Rest assured, funds will be transparently and accountably distributed by trusted representatives. Your support directly aids those affected by conflict, so please share this initiative with your family and friends.
