Is it really possible for me and my family to escape from Sudan? I really hoped, after a few days, 5 months will have passed since the launch of my campaign and I have not even reached half of the goal. It is very frustrating. With your humanity, I hope you will not ignore my request to help me.🙏

Right now the militant group the Rapid Support Forces are preparing the next stage of a genocide they began in 2003. Over 800,000 people are living or seeking refuge in El-Fasher, Sudan, and the vast majority of them are members of indigenous peoples such as the Fur and the Massalit. These peoples have been the targets of genocide since at least 2003, when the RSF (then known as the Janjaweed or Devils on Horseback) began ethnically cleansing them from Darfur. Now, with so many displaced people gathered in El-Fasher due to the ongoing war, a massacre of horrifying proportions is imminent. Unless international pressure is successfully mounted against the RSF’s financier, 800,000 people are going to be murdered.

I have a post explaining the situation in Sudan and linking many other GoFundMes and charities you can donate to, but I think that boosting some links in particular might give more incentive for donations, so I picked these two in particular since you can always donate to them.
The aim of the first one is to deliver emergency basic needs, food and medicine. Funds will be transferred directly to local charities and organization who are managing those shelters to make sure that the funds are well received and is spent on the needs specified.
The second fundraiser helps provide women in IDPs camps with reusable pads. As of posting this, [26/04/24], they are less than halfway to their goal.
Even if you can't donate, please reblog and boost these links!
This is the link to Eman's gofundme, and it's where you can read their story. Please share, boost, and donate to this campaign so we can get their family evacuated to safety.
When the RSF militia overran West Darfur up to 700,000 African Masalit were able to flee on foot in to Eastern Chad given its proximity. In this clip from June is Chadian border guards urging refugees to run to the border as RSF militiamen were still firing on them, towards the end of the clip one of the border guards says they managed to shoot one.
El Fashir is no where near the border, if the city falls there is no where to escape to from the militia. I’ve posted a lot on El Fashir today but this isn’t hyperbole the situation is critical!
"Keep Eyes On Sudan. Write to your media org. Your rep. Your mother. Your group chat!!! We need people to speak on what is happening in El Fasher. Today!" from Yasmin Abdel-Magied, 25/Apr/2024:
Darfur Women Action Group is extremely alarmed by the disturbing news coming out from El Fasher, North Darfur. We are reaching out to you with an urgent appeal to seek your support to call on the US government and the United Nations Security Council to take serious action to protect civilians and avert the unfolding and deadly mass atrocities that are currently underway in El Fasher, North Darfur.
From the latest information on the ground, we just got the news that there is a huge mobilization among Arab tribes affiliated to the RSF to circle El Fasher and also mobilization from those rebel groups sided with SAF and interborder tribes from Chad and other parts of Darfur. There is already a blockade of fuel coming into the city and there are no water tankers operating to supply water for the large numbers of the Internal Displaced Person(IDP). The limited commercial food supply that used to come from Libya or Chad is now blocked from reaching those in need, isolating civilians from all survival means. People are already dying and all indicators point out the fact that the RSF is preparing for a new decisive attack on El Fasher and try to wipe out not only the SAF forces and the existence of African tribes who sought refuge there. The situation in El Fasher, if allowed, will be beyond any one can imagine.

They're also censoring people who use these tags on X. Sudanese creators and activists who are talking about their experiences -and often not able to share extensive details about their sufferings because if they do, they could be killed for sharing information. Saying 'genocide' is getting their posts flagged and accounts banned too. We need to be talking about this too.
