I’m sorry but to me the “Daemon orchestrated blood and cheese because he’s evil and bloodthirsty” is the laziest possible interpretation of his motivations. You don’t think he did it because he wanted Aemond to live with the guilt of being the reason his nephew is dead?? Or because seeing Rhaenyra grieving her dead son was too painful and drove him to commit an awful act of revenge??? Or that maybe just MAYBE he actually developed affection for the step-son he spent six years raising, and the loss of his brother, daughter and Luke made him want to hurt the Greens as much as they’ve hurt him and his family???? Idk I just think the option where Daemon is the moustache twirling cartoon villain who only does things because he’s the big bad monster on the show is soo boring and overused

one of his "wings" has suffered a blow for effectively ordering Erwin and a bunch of screaming new recruits to ride to certain death. he literally and figuratively has blood on his hand. one hand, because Erwin is the one who ordered the recruits to charge, making them a pair.
