Small astro observations ☕️🤍

• Those with cancer moon in the 1st house come across “witchy,” some may even describe them as moody or reserved. There’s a certain kind of witchyness in them that I like 👀 my best friend has this placement, and she knows how to read peoples energy just by looking at them. I believe that’s her source of witchyness.

• She also has a youthful, round face. Being ruled by moon, her features are softer and delicate.

• Also, her moon is in Leo. This astrological polarity creates lots of unique sides in the native. Other people may think of these sides as “contradictory,” but the native can be very deep as a person. They explore all parts of themselves, and if they haven’t, part of their mission in their lifetime is to embrace all aspects of themselves, regardless of what others think.

• A capricorns loyalty is not one to be messed with, especially if the native has healed past wounds, and is self aware. They have the ability to hold themselves accountable and do better. However, I’ve noticed capricorns who haven’t worked through their past issues have no problem leaving you to struggle, and only coming back when they need help.

• Male capricorns, if your father figure was not structured and present emotionally, do yourself a favor and go to therapy ☕️🤷🏻‍♀️ it’ll help you tons. Especially those with Saturn retrograde in the chart, because Saturn represents the father. If the natives sun placement is afflicted, the same applies here.

• I knew a guy with Saturn in the 10th house retrograde definitely had daddy issues growing up, and still does. The father relies on his child to be cared for, instead of the other way around. The father finds himself struggling to provide basic living, so the child takes on the stress of providing for the parent at a young age.

• Virgo placements & libra…what’s up with wanting to be hidden? I’ve met a man who at the time was struggling mentally, was borderline checking out of reality. He couldn’t hold a proper conversation without his head being lost in some far land 🤣 every topic was too vague, and too abstract for it to make sense. And as soon as I asked his placement and guessed it correctly, he gave me a look and said he didn’t like what I knew of him. He was bothered and seen 👀

I have had some experience with this personally and with a few of my clients chats so want to talk about it

! disclaimer !

I have only personally worked with this energy in synastry charts between men and women so far so I will be talking about the dynamic between the females Lilith and the males personal planets.

Here I will be talking about when a woman limit interacts with an important part of his chart, this includes ascendant, sun, moon, Venus, mars and angular houses. These are the placements I have the most experience with so until I have further knowledge I will not speak for other aspects.

There is a great amount of tension between these two. She is everything he desires, she fullfills his darkest fantasies and wildest dreams he has about a woman. The attraction is immense

There is a marker side to this. The Lilith woman may trigger this mans wounds, especially with women. If he isn’t self developed and lacks self assurance, confidence and security he will find this connection very hard. He will want to handle it but will struggle, even when a man is developed she is playing with some of the darkest parts of him.

To her this can be fun, seeing how in some ways he is wrapped around he finger or dotes on her every move, how he does what he can to please her, this can be a placement where she will find it easy to manipulate him if she wants to. I repeats if she wants, she doesn’t have to and that is also dependent on how developed she is.

If the man isn’t secure this can take a bad turn, obsession is somewhat Inevitable anyway and isn’t always bad, however what can happen is he will start to try and control her. This often happens when he cannot handle the feelings she creates and triggers in him so he projects it onto her.

Desire is the big words that comes into play here. He sees her as someone who is highly desirable , not only for himself but to others. He finds her irresistible able but worries that other men feel the same way, this is where fear, jealousy and control arise if he is not equipped to handle such a woman at this point in his life.

Remember that Lilith is also a woman’s personal power which people, predominantly men have tried to undermine or take. This connection can go one of two ways and it depends of the development of the people involved and maybe how Lilith interacts with their own natal charts also. A man can either love and cherish his woman’s power or seek to control it, take it away or use it for himself.

If both people are developed this can create a powerful connection. One where he respects and values her in all her power without insecurity. She can help heal him of his female caused wounds, if she has the self awareness to see where he is being triggered and instead of use this for power use it for healing him.

Let's start this account of with introducing my two boys Saturn (the Moon) and Pluto (the Sun). (A full body ref will be made and linked here)

Saturn is based on Eclipse but in a Moon Body. Same goes with Pluto. He is a Lunar in Suns Body.

So is this basically just a body swap AU? Technically, yes. But it is a lot more!

Pluto and Saturn where the prototypes for Sun and Moon. But Pluto was the daycare attendant alone, taking care and putting kids to sleep. He was programmed to be friendly and carrying, to put the kids over everything. And Saturn was supposed to be the security, to make sure nobody was getting into the daycare when their not suppose to be there. And while that means that Saturn was more active at Night, he also was around while the kids where in the daycare. He watched over them and scared of the people who wanted to harm the kids, while Pluto calmed them down.

Or at least that was how it was suppose to go.

No one know why or how but Pluto just hated kids. He would scare them, make them fear him and force Saturn to calm down the kids what wasn't really in his program. After all, he was suppose to be the scary one. The one that the kids would be scared of. He was lost and yet he managed to take care of these kids, to keep them safe and entertained. He grew to be someone the kids could trust and feel safe with.

Pluto on the other hand... He just seemed to get more and more violent. Hurting kids and staff. He was not at all how he was programmed to be but nobody could figure out why. Part of the reason was, that he avoided Parts and Service or hurting the staff down there when they managed to get him down there.

That is also how he got his scar. A younger staff member had a wrench in his hand when Pluto attacked him out of nowhere. Especially since he just entered the room. He got lucky to get Pluto befor he got him. Out of reflex he hit Pluto with the wrench, causing his body to get damaged. It hit some vital cables which caused a shot blackout. And this was enough to get Pluto restrained for a check-up and repair. And while they could repair him - but still couldn't finding the cause for the way he acted - the parts where his metal broke are now forever discolored. Because no matter how much they try, the paint doesn't stay on there quite right, chipping off really quick. So they left it how it is.

But after that, Plutos temperament got worse. So much so that he seriously tried to hurt a kid. And Saturn couldn't let this happen, not after he learned to adore these little rascals. So he faced his brother. And while he got out of that alive, he was hurt bad with his body damage to the point where they decided to deactivate him together with Pluto.

They were forgotten, erased from all records. But because of them, Sun and Moon where put in one body. So that it would be easier to control them should something like this ever happen again. Years passend and then Gregory happened and that whole place turned into a ruin.

And then Saturn opened his eyes again. He was somewhat repaired with a big scar on his body and the disassembled body of Sun and Moon right next to him. Someone repaired him with the parts Sun and Moon still had to offer. But who was it? And where was his brother?

Questions he was going to find an answer to. Because he couldn't let his brother roam around freely. Not when he would harm children without a second thought. Even if it means that he will have to die again.

FNAF DCA Slime Rancher AU

*cracks knuckles, squints at my dashboard and blows*

*hacks up half a lung at the sheer volume of dust flying in my face*

SO, we live :3 and have been watering the brain worm garden, writing… elsewhere that isn’t here and is our Ao3 as well as the uh, *glances at pileup of unfinished works in Google Docs* … actually, ignore that.

At the request of the lovely @sinnabee after watching her stream Slime Rancher 2, here is our list of I guess headcanons that we’ll more than likely end up writing at least a few scenes for :p

Also, Sun and Moon slimes from Sinna!!

Sun slimes:

Has lil nubbin hands to wave and pat things and hold on to Moony fins

Is friendly and vegetarian, fav foods are either heart beets cause they’re full of love or pogofruit cause in the wild they’re the most unproblematic things next to Pink slimes

Has gummy teeth that couldn’t even bruise you if they tried, they just end up harmlessly nomming away

Their rays are soft and very bendy

Will get along with any slime except Ringtails (they turn to stone in the sun and Sun is sad about their very presence freezing their new friends, so they try to bring apology snacks to the statues but as soon as they hop away, the Ringtails make a swift exit-stage-right)

Is infatuated with chickadees (cause Babey Birbs) and will protect them from Tarrs by swallowing as many of them as possible and regurgitating them in a safe place when the coast is clear

Will use their friendliness to their advantage if their Moon is hurt e.g. is so friendly that they can roll up and swallow a hen or two without scaring the rest of the nest, then bring them back to feed their Moon, wherever they’re hiding

Will also protect their Moon by luring threats away and close to a cliff before knocking them off and into the blimey deep (ehehe the slimey deep of the Slime Sea, ahem anyway) below, has absolutely no morality issue with doing this even to another slime or a human they’ve never met before

Suns are usually harmless, but if they're particularly excited or angry, their touch will burn

Their slime is also flammable and can stick to other slimes, but slides right off Moons

Moon slimes:

Have fins and a light like Anglers, slightly more dexterous front fins to hold on to Sun nubbins

Eats meat, but will help their Sun get food, even scaring off other slimes when their Sun isn’t looking to secure food (and only when their Sun isn’t looking cause otherwise they would get an earful to “be nice”. Pft, like being nice gets their Sunny the best food like they deserve)

Also brings their Sun wild honey as a treat

Does not get along with Anglers (they get jealous if their Sun interacts with an Angler, also the Angler's light hurts their eyes), Ringtails or Hunters (because they’re cheeky little sh-)

They have Teeth™ and will use them to protect themselves and their Sun

Their light also hypnotises other slimes and chickens, but Suns are immune to it. It makes a little jingling sound when the hypnosis is in effect

Will go toe to toe (or blob to blob I guess-) with Tarrs, especially if their Sun is in danger with them

Are extremely stealthy, especially at night. 

Is it part of their hypnotism or do they have something in common with Hunters? Viktor would like to know, but when he caught a pair, they were gone the next morning with a note in the corral that just said “better luck next time :p”

He spent the day hypothesising (read: having a minor mental breakdown scientific thought block) how in the hell they 1. managed to escape without breaking anything or setting off his alarms and 2. wrote. In readable English. Even BOb’s communications weren’t nearly as neat.

Facts about both:

They spawn together in pairs and only have the one pairing their entire lives

Rarely spotted, they seem to come and go and at most two pairs have ever been spotted at any one time, always in Starlight Strand

If you catch one but not the other, they will cry constantly (think sadge hungry boi and 'oshit there's a Tarr' sounds) and try to escape until they’re reunited in the same pen or free roam, not just adjacent pens. They will always be drawn to each other, so to find/lure their other half, just walk away with one in the Vacpack and the other will follow

Moon would try to free Sun by biting you and Sun will burn you if they bounce into you, so keep enough Vacpack space free for both

If an unpaired Moon is in a pen, they will start chewing through the corral walls. They’re smart enough to figure out that going for the barrier directly like other slimes do is much more difficult than attacking the barrier generator pillars which are much more solid than straining against a slippery forcefield

If an unpaired Sun is in a pen, a good chunk of your ranch may start to burn. I hope you have fire suppression and a good stain cleaner cause those burn marks aren’t coming out easy. Anything a distressed Sun touches will burn and the metal of your corral wall pillars is not heat proof

Even though Suns are so trusting and friendly, Moons are a lot less so, especially towards ranchers

They're smart enough to figure out that slimes disappearing into the suction tube and seldom being spit back out is Bad

Meanwhile Suns just want affection, trying to boop the rancher as soon as their Moon looks away cause Moon would try to nudge them away and scare/bite the rancher

Ogden swore he once saw a sick Sun, Viktor corroborated his account when he went to investigate and was attacked by an unnaturally dull and dark Sun. Unfortunately, he failed to capture it and when he returned with better equipment, it was gone. No one has seen it since, although Viktor hypothesised that it was a virus that could potentially spread to its Moon counterpart

What he actually saw was a Solar, a Sun which had forever lost its Moon for some unknown reason

Lunars are Moons that have lost their Suns, but no one in the community on the Range has ever seen one

If one is fired into the other with a Vacpack, they will form an Eclipse largo

Eclipse largos:

Because of the velocity requirement (aka basically has to be yeeted together with considerable force, there's no need for them to combine in the wild), Eclipse largos are considered rancher-made instead of naturally-transforming by eating plorts like other largos

As a fusion of the two, they have the combined memories and personalities of Sun and Moon. As such, it is recommended to first gain the trust of and build a relationship with both slimes before fusing them or the resultant Eclipse may be difficult to manage

It’s not hard to have a decent relationship with Sun, but if you didn’t have one with Moon before fusion, you might find yourself nursing your wounds post-spontaneous bite in the middle of pets. Eclipse’s teeth are much, much worse than a cat’s nibblers

They hate being confined to a corral, much preferring to patrol the ranch instead

If the ranch is safe and nothing escaped, there is a chance they will unfuse at dawn and dusk. The chance that they unfuse is much higher if they leave the ranch at these times

They will herd loose slimes into the nearest corral, although occasionally this results in them getting themself stuck until the rancher frees them or they wreck the corral, whichever comes first

If they spot a Tarr, they will fight it by dragging it around with their teeth until it beats a hasty retreat or using its tentacles to throw it into the nearest body of (unoccupied by Puddles) water

They are also sometimes seen just staring into the distance at or near the edge of the ranch, always towards the East

You are not going to be able to force them to go anywhere, they are large and in charge. If you try to, you’re at a high risk of getting yourself or your Vacpack crushed between those dagger teeth

Luring them back to the ranch with the promise of cuddles, a honey-baked hen, cubed cubefruit and a water lettuce salad to wash it all down hasn’t failed yet

They will eat anything, including other slimes although genus cannibalism isn't going to be their first choice

Has there been recorded history of an Eclipse eating tech or a rancher? Viktor might have the answer to the former, but as for the latter… there are no living witnesses. Key word, living. And if the Far Far Range saw one unnamed rancher with a bad reputation gradually lose his slimes and disappear, no one saw anything

Eclipses may not have nubbins, but they can produce long tentacles that appear dark orange in the day and dark blue at night

Those tentacles would be warm or cool to the touch depending on Eclipse’s mood

Overall, not much is really known about them within the community of the Far, Far Range besides for rare sightings, but every time someone manages to capture a Sun or Moon, they escape the next day with an unsigned note left in the corral. Even Viktor’s surveillance tech hadn’t managed to catch the intruder’s identity, but he has footage of a tall figure in a dark cloak walking into his lab in the middle of the night and hacking into the containment unit he had the Sun and Moon in. The slimes hopped out of the open door and the figure looked straight at the camera, holding up a slim finger to their face with the faint glint of teeth and a glowing red eye in the shadow of their cloak as they held up the note, dropping it on the ground before the camera feed got corrupted.

headcanons that live in my mind rent free

nekomura iroha's speakers can project holograms and levitate things. they also shoot sound waves that can pulverise solid rock.

yuzuki yukari was born on the moon as part of an expiriment to see if humans can survive in space, and moved to earth at the age of five. due to the moon's lower gravity compared to earth, she is physically weaker than others. she was advised my her parents to pursue sports in order to improve her health, and ended up taking a liking to baseball. she was bullied when she was younger for being weak, and now goes out of her way to beat up others.

the kagamines are filipino-japanese, and lily is their aunt. they both had a crush on miku, and this caused conflict between them for a while. the love triangle was ended when miku started dating rin.

otomachi una is a eel creature thing that resembles a human. her hair is constantly electrically charged, and she can spit blue ink. the reason for her unusual outfit is that she has no clue what humans normally wear, and just slapped some random clothes together and called it a day.

otone peke is mute, and she is seen as a disappointment in music-focused vocaloid society. the meme squad tried to find her a voice once, but they gave up once they realised that she was happy the way she was. peke is shy, and falls in love easily. she once had a crush on rin, but rin doesn't know about this and peke will never tell her.

hatsune mikuo works as a security guard at miku's concerts. he was close to his sister when they were younger, but drifted away after miku became popular. he helped her write the lyrics to her first song.

hatsune miku is an indie singer who unexpectedly became popular. she can be selfish and annoying at times, but her true personality comes through when her friends are in trouble. popularity has taken its toll on her, and she rarely acts like herself anymore..

amane luna is a sci-fi nerd, and is often seen with yokune ruko, the only person sleepier than her. her rabbit ears aren't real, and are clipped onto her headphones, her actual ears. she likes reading and secluded spaces.

fuuga koto is a very energetic girl who is easily influenced. she loves birds and can mimic bird calls very easily. she likes things to make sense and will stop at nothing to get answers. she has a similar mindset to kasane teto, and the two have an inside joke that they are long-lost sisters. she likes listening to audiobooks, especially stories about boarding schools and jungle adventures. she does not get enough sleep lmfao just like me

Dean Winchester (Rough) Natal Chart Analysis

As a gift for a friend, I did a gen rough analysis for the character dean winchester since one of their interests is supernatural. I on the other hand have only seen a few episodes from season one, so I was simply grooving here and if I can find their reactions I’ll add them lmao

Still can’t get over the fact that he’s supposedly a cancer rising beware, copy and pasting from google docs below!

There’s a few things that I want to look into and assess first (mainly career aspects because I’ve been focused on training my eye for that, but I find it interesting with the little knowledge I have of Supernatural), and a bit of his roots and connections to others, because that’s also interesting to me – however I’m going to try and go in my normal order so the important parts of the chart (asc, sun, chart ruler, moon, etc) aren’t forgotten

Cancer Ascendant

I’ve noticed that people with this asc tend to be great caretakers – which is due to their cap dsc. They want to make sure they have a secure place in the world and they can have a ‘sensitive’ approach to how they do things. Not in a sense that they’re easily affected, but they love/care for things heavily, so if they feel that it’s compromised in some way, they will take the proper steps to fix their shell so they are no longer hurt. I’m a bit annoyed because the Ascendant is very important but I have nothing else to say about it and more about his moon which is the chart ruler. There are no aspects being made to it, but his chart just has more important stuff for my eye besides this.

Chart Ruler - Sagittarius Moon in the Sixth House

A Sag moon is going to brighten his cancer attributes a bit. Internally it might cause some frustration (cancer & sagittarius naturally have friction, trying to balance elements that argue with each other within your chart will be a lesson to learn throughout your life) but on the other hand it can cause someone who seems very inviting, loving, or sweet. You mix the bubbly sag with the caring cancer and it attracts people naturally.

People with a Sagittarius Moon are going to end up being drawn to various walks of life and needing stimulation in order to feel comfortable. They will want to experience new environments or thrills, not just hear about them. So the more chances to do things, the happier they’ll be. They are also jolly souls, though they can sometimes have that blunt edge to them.

Having the Moon sitting within the Sixth will also mean that he is easily affected by his routines, work, environments, etc. For ex; he needs to watch his diet since he’d be prone to overeating if stressed out or upset. A co-worker he doesn’t like could make him act out at work more (especially with that sixth stellium). So all things dealing with the sixth house will in turn affect his emotions and internal cycle. With it being a fire sign, he will act first and think later, so it’s a bit helpful that he won’t sit on it and let it stew – ruining his body even more. However the downside is that if he feels bad, he will immediately act on it, and then process that it could’ve been solved another way. Sagittarius is a philosopher and enjoys higher thinking, but it’s still a fire sign. Also a smart-ass.

Sixth House Stellium – he could be prone to low self-esteem. Not just from this stellium, but planets here come naturally so they are hidden from the native. Unless the chart has help somewhere else, there’s a natural response to downplay compliments because the native doesn’t have physical evidence themselves.

Moon, Venus, and Neptune sitting here – this feels very healing in nature which I will come back around to when talking about both his career and childhood. His emotions are going to be visible to those that he works with or those that deal with him daily – even if he isn’t aware of it. So whatever habits learned from childhood, pure/facial reactions, things that go unfiltered, etc – they will be what’s remembered. Venus can show a person that has a natural charm or charisma – sometimes even being a natural beauty. This points to someone who is loved by a lot of their co-workers unless afflicted. It’s also someone who has high standards for themselves and can sometimes be awkward when trying to navigate their own love lives. Neptune is backing up that ‘emotions affecting the health’ issue. It can cause small hiccups that might not be picked up when going to get checked out. It can also be flare ups. They’re also a sign that they are easily influenced by outside forces so creating a good boundary between people and the self is Very important.

With Sagittarius being the sign here, it’s a sign that there’s a 50/50 shot he’s liked or hated. Sagittarius is charming but they have a mouth on them. However he has pleasant signs in the sixth, so it helps ease that up. Sagittarius also helps ease that awkward and tense energy it throws onto planets that enter that house.

Now they make some interesting aspects but I’ll come back to them.

So I spoke briefly about the Cancer Ascendant; they seek security within this lifetime. So in turn, they will want to provide security for others. They are great at providing it actually so much so that some of them want to be protected by others every once in a while. With angles, all of this energy repeats. They seek out security (1) > their home usually was domestic/peaceful for the greater good (4) > they become someone who can provide that same energy and end up attracting people who are older or mature for their age (7) > they become leaders, self-employed, or entrepreneurs (10).

The tenth house sits within Aries, which is co-ruled by Mars. When looking at traditional rulership you have to understand how the signs operate. Scorpio is ruled by mars as well, but it’s energy will store it, it will be methodical, it wants to go the distance, it’s in the background until it needs to strike. Aries on the other hand will come crashing in. It wants to fight, it will tackle the problem without a clear concise plan, but it’s going to make sure it’s solved. So they’re both action oriented, and they will both use their body, but in very different ways.

Using the body being the keyword.

A few things that Aries 10th house careers usually involve are: firemen, armed forces, rangers, welders, locksmiths, athletes, race car drivers, boxers, dancers, etc (and ofc, executives and the like). You get the point. Intense use of the body.

So we follow where his mars is going and it sits within the 8th! (sidenote: I don’t like how many house placements we share what does this mean for my career) So the eighth usually talks about loans, debts, shared money issues, inheritances, transformation/transition, and gaining/losses. For modern astrology it can also include the occult but that’s more the twelfth. However having Aquarius sit on the eighth, will still include things of that nature because Aquarius can share topics that are seen as obscure and at the time, the occult or astrology was seen as such (however once again, that’d be more Pisces or Scorpio) but they mainly talk of things like technology or science. SO basically this means that his career will be delivered out in a way that his energy is devoted to things of a give and take nature that might deal with science. Then we add the sun. Whatever this career is, it’s his identity. It’s an important part of him, and it will either bring drama or be a way of expressing himself.

So let’s bring in his actual Midheaven, which is a Pisces MC. So what did I say about Pisces lmao. We’ve already crossed out a lot of options for Pisces. It sits within the Ninth house which just slams down on Jupiter (Pisces and Sag are ruled by Jupiter, Sag sits within the Ninth). The ninth also can stand for a job that either involves the father in some way, it’s satisfying in some way as it’s a soulful career, or it’s the standard priest option because that’s the only path we have left. So let’s look at Jupiter, the ruler.

Jupiter sits within Leo in the second. Leo in the second is a sign that you should be selling yourself as it’s profitable, but we know any sort of modeling is out of the question lmao, it might just be a great asset in some other way. Jupiter in the second means there’s no issue with making money (maybe an issue with spending it if anything as it opposes mars, but that’s not a bad aspect in this case). The second house is once again pointing to a family business, it’s ruler is the sun so we just go back in a circle. In issues like these we look at the quality of the house. As I mentioned before – Leo should be selling the self. So this house wants to be able to manage itself and profit off of self-expression. So the career is pointing towards more of an entrepreneur like job despite all of it’s jupiter energy (lmao what is he a boss babe).

The only other thing we have to add is the energy of the sixth that is constantly fluctuating, plus with that Neptune sitting there it’s like what he does is truly not…it’s not usual. I’m watching The Blacklist and it feels like whatever they do, where they have to work in a secret site and not explain anything about their job – but it’s nowhere near that stiff. Plus Sagittarius means there’s no set routine and travel is abundant in order to be happy. Maybe not every day, but a lack of travel would make him restless.

FINALLY THE NODE. His node sits within the third house; communication, siblings, short journeys, etc. It’s also in Virgo which supports his sixth stellium – he wants to be of service, but needs to be able to be recognized for his work that he’s done. There is no doing stuff in silence and gaining no reward, which is slightly going against his tenth ruler.

Now the third house node is funny as hell I don’t have to spell that out. More importantly I think it’s interesting that Saturn sits alongside his Node. He has to ground himself and come back to be present, and that Saturn is showing up as being a responsible caretaker to the immediate people around him. Which works well with his Descendant as those qualities will pop up naturally. Mercury sits there so it’s probably more through communication (dryly, probably stiff, but it’s communicated). He’s battling the premise that his job is to be done not seen or heard, but his chart is urging him to understand that it’s okay to take the rewards after a hard job is done or to like pamper himself sometimes.

Mars is opposing his Jupiter so there’s a habit of pushing the bar. He might do too much because he believes he can achieve it and sometimes he can, sometimes he fucks it up. Also, Mars is a malefic (negative) meanwhile Jupiter is a benefic (positive). When they both sit in money houses that’s important to note, especially when they aspect each other. It’s like they negative the influences on the house – so mars could have him constantly ask for money or burn through it, but it’s hitting Jupiter which would mean it’s easy influx of money is also lowered. So income could come at the right time, but then he goes through it. So there’s an idea that he isn’t too worried about money because it works out as it’s worked out before.

Childhood

Okay last part because I’m talking too much honestly- Did you think I was going to ignore that pluto in the fourth lmao.

Pluto in the fourth is usually not very fun. It is a sign that something big happened during childhood and the native takes that with them. It’s changed their perception and how they walk through life and it impacts their tenth. The possibilities are usually an oppressive energy within the household, an unstable figure, being abandoned, feeling unloved. It’s possible that the family itself was fine but there was an external event that affected the home and it’s affected the native. In this case, since Pluto is squaring Mercury, it seems to be within the family and due to an event there was a shut down of expression. Act one way and that’s the only way. Especially since Pluto sits within an air sign and now Mercury sits within Cap who is usually snarky and more direct – expresses facts. I also wouldn’t be surprised if a traumatic event occurred because his sun is also in his eighth along with that Pluto in the fourth – so considering the show did this start at a young age? Those houses are known to be sensitive to this stuff. Anyway, I also see a natural channel to being a protector. In general, but mainly a big brother. Malefics within the fourth will make someone closed off but protective of others, and I already expressed my thoughts on Saturn in the third.

Saturn is also Squaring his Moon, so there’s another affect of restricted emotions or a sign of heavy responsibilities. There’s a scene from Always Sunny where Dennis talks about ‘how he’s feeling his emotions all the time like is that normal’ and that’s literally natives who have a Moon-Saturn aspect lmao. So there’s some sort of conditioning where it’s like…emotions bad control good, but it was for a reason (I wonder why).

Last bit is that Venus Squares his Saturn – which points again to having a conflicted sense of self. Some natives will hold off on love due to external factors, and then it causes a distorted view of the self. They wonder if they can ever obtain it or if they should give up on it, but it usually gets better with time (plus it’s sag influenced and he has uranus sitting in his fifth so like, this is long term not flings or whatever).

okay someone needs to fucking explain Fallout worldbuilding to me

OKAY SO

I'm a writer and my friends and I get maybe a little obsessed with worldbuilding. Like, famously had a three hour heated argument over theoretical Chinese empirical expansion, obsessed. So I tend to think a lot about worldbuilding when I interact with fiction.

I never played the Fallout games as a kid, I know, sue me, but there was cultural osmosis cause I'm still a video game nerd who hangs out with other video game nerds. So I understood that Fallout takes place in a post-nuclear-MAD world with a 50's aesthetic. You get some scifi elements but it's all that old "classic" scifi stuff like robot butlers.

I assumed, therefore, that the Fallout series takes place in an alternate universe where the Cold War went hot. At the most, maybe it was, like 1975? And the people who designed the Vault stuff were just Old and liked The Good Old Days.

So I was watching the new TV show with my husband when he says, casually, that in Fallout, the nuclear apocalypse happened in 2070.

2070!?!?!?!?!?!?????????

According to the Fallout universe, technology just ... went in a different direction after the Space Race, with little to no improvement in communications (so no cable TV or fax machines or internet) but had other big developments, like putting a colony on the Moon, and a lot of biomedical research, and robots with varying levels of AI.

This is absolutely bonkers.

But imo what's worse is the idea that culture either completely stagnated for over a century, or we hit a period of regression/nostalgia so hard it was virtually indistinguishable from that earlier time.

I'm sorry, but Fallout writers, what the actual fuck?!?

Let me list some of the immediately problems I see with this:

If you're saying all the scientists on earth focused entirely on robotics and medical technology, that STILL. DOES NOT. COVER. 120 YEARS. OF DEVELOPMENT. Especially in a modern fictional context!!!

Technological advancements drive cultural change, which drives technology. Even if we didn't get smartphones, there were changes, and even the most heavily nostalgic conservatives are not going to be the same now as they were 120 years ago. They might be worse, but still, they're going to be different.

Not to mention the culture that built the Vaults is one that's been living in a state of perpetual Cold War for multiple generations. They may be nostalgic for post-WWII picket fences, but that wistfulness is going to feel incredibly different than the relentless optimism that's at the core of the 1950's aesthetic.

This is also absolutely the wrong time period to pick if you're arbitrarily going to decide modern communication methods were never invented. The Cold War was a critical factor in the need for improved security of classified communication, as well as the quality and accessibility of propaganda. IMO a USA that never left the Cold War would have building-sized TV screen billboard ads before the personal home computer.

(funny enough the boom for chemical and biochemical science was already over at this point. There's a saying that WWI was the Chemists' War, and WWII was the Physicists' War, and that's very reflective of where innovators were looking, where funding was going, and thus, what technologies were being developed.)

The weirdest thing about all of this to me is that this is so atypical of all the genres Fallout is leaning on. The 1940's scifi aesthetic at the core of this concept is optimistic exactly because it came before the existential dread of the Cold War; it was that dread, in part, that punctured the post-war dream. Steampunk settings sometimes leap forward a century or two without technological advancement, but the cultural setting of Victorian England is very different and it's plausible that if ideas of the era like "aether" had been proven true, technology would have developed very differently. Then newer genres like Cyberpunk, the ones that came during and after the Cold War, almost always demonstrate how cultures have influenced each other, because the authors of the developing scifi genre had started to realize the future would be shaped by more than just ray guns and spaceships.

So yeah, it absolutely boggles my mind that this is a choice the Fallout writers made and have stuck to faithfully.

In the late evening, when the sun was beginning to fall into the sky and moods were dazed and dull, Marcus and Y/N settled themselves well at the beach. This wasn't anything new—it was their thing, their routine even, to stray towards the sand and sea when after hours arrived, choosing to pass the time in peaceful enjoyment and thrill every single time without fail.

They would take calm walks across the beach where loud conversations were created and shared, their volume range always drifting off course. They would play in the shallow waters of the ocean where the two would act anyhow seeing as they were experiencing wonderful contentment that was uniquely theirs to share as a two in those moments. They would take their place in the sand too, curling up in one another and encouraging comfortable silence as the moon began to find its place high in the sky.

With the kind breeze brushing against his face, Marcus let in a mild inhale before letting go as he openly took in the scent of the beach—one that felt like a breath of fresh air. He secured his arms around Y/N sitting in front of him and leaned in to kiss her head, earning a breathy laugh from her, before he set his eyes on the ocean before him and admired the natural movements of its water.

Sitting down in the sand with his dear Y/N—toes deep and relaxed in the sand, experiencing isolation with his lover, and being able to observe the beach and its nature—Marcus felt like this moment right here was a luxury to experience, something he would remain grateful for. It was something the couple got only once a week (twice if they were lucky) and lasted no more than four hours yet it still remained his favourite part of his usual routine.

You see, as a football player and a public figure Marcus had a lot of responsibilities and roles to attend to: the direct ones like training and playing matches every week and representing his club and country; but also the indirect ones like being a role model for the youth (from a local level to a national one), and carrying himself in a way that he couldn't be perceived in a negative light.

That's how it was for Marcus. And while he would never give up any of them for the world, they all came with their share of restrictions. This, naturally, restrained his innate inflexions and speech, his behaviour in the pitch and in person, and his presentation. Those responsibilities and roles, unfortunately, weren't selective—he had to attend to them which made them expectations, no way around them.

But even as expectations they were only temporary, specifically reserved for the daytime. 'Cause after that match was over, after he was dismissed from training, after he was finished doing press, Marcus would always take that as his cue to run off with Y/N and head straight to the beach nearing the hours of the night. The beach—the place where they could wander the infinite sand trails, swim alongside other creatures in the sea and do any activity that came to mind.

In that right there, there was calmness.

Embracing the natural body of the beach, witnessing the waves wrestle and roll around and over one another, Marcus and Y/N being alone together with the beach, knowing that all their responsibilities were put on pause and no one was going to stop the two from enjoying themselves, knowing that Marcus could drop his model persona for this moment alone and speak how he wanted, express himself to his partner and dress (and undress) without the fear of judgement trying to correct him—in that, there was calmness and security and belonging.

And Y/N loved how the beach was such an outlet for Marcus, understanding it was a way for him to peacefully unravel so so they could spend a peaceful moment together. For the scenery they were in, Y/N liked to call Marcus Blue, my Blue; simply put, blue radiated off of Marcus perfectly under the moonlight and dark sky, his person always shining bluer than any other person or object present.

But for his emotional intelligence Y/N, too, called Marcus Blue. In the moonlight, during the cover of the night, when the light fell directly on him, it was a shelter where Marcus could illuminate in the dark and place some focus on his true inflexion, behaviour and persona. He could be vulnerable and expressive as he pleased—with the night sky, with the body of the beach—and he was given the liberty to be and shine, in tranquillity and security, in the arms of Y/N.

Thank you for your feedback. I don't really charge as i don't do this professionally. I wanted to write a bit more but i reached the limit, heres a bit more from what I gathered. So in fact since he is a Capricorn Rising, Saturn rules his chart (for every sign there a planet that rules it), and having his chart ruler Saturn in Aries is really indicating to me that, that problem of his is highlighted in his life. So this planet anywhere it is, it shrinks that house and makes the native work really hard (pretty much a life long process) for whatever that house represents. I didn't really want to mention this the 3rd house also shows us the individual's relationship with their siblings, so I would be surprised in it was smooth sailing on that as well. He does have an aspect between Saturn and Neptune, they square(harsh aspect) each other, so he has this inner tension between reality and illusion and what's actually happening to him. So it does create feelings of inferiority and not being able to sort of meet the standards of whatever illusion Neptune wishes to create. He also has Saturn square his Venus, which would indicate to me a problem with relationships. His Saturn in the sign of Aries and it's what's considered debilitated which means basically that whatever that planet it meant to do is in exact opposite sign. Responsibility is a big part of Saturn and being in Aries this is someone that's always avoiding it/always changing up their mind. To me this is not someone you can depend on cause first of all they can't depend on them selves, they are rather running towards things that are igniting their passion(Aries, it's literally the God of war) which again not at all what this planet is about. What you said about the family's control over his career. 2 notes on that. Just like Saturn represents the father figure, the moon represents the mother. So everything I said about the 8th house here applies to the relationship with his mother, it doesn't necessarily mean that it was happening between them, it could be that his mother was going through 8th house matters(mental illness, etc)when he was growing up resulting to him feeling neglected, I am not surprised he wants older women with this either cause subconsciously his wants to be nurtured and cared for to feel the gap he experienced as a child. Now onto the career and family. Well his 4th house (family life,home,again mother relationship) is in Aries the sign of war. To me maybe his parents fought a lot, or maybe him and his mother did but overall this is an upbringing that was very competitive and yes you guessed it, his 4th house ruler (since Aries rules Mars, we have to look where Mars is placed) is in the 10th house. So for sure his childhood really played a significant role with him wanting to achieve more and more. People with this, strive to find a balance between the home life and their career. So a lot of the times for him to feel emotionally secure it has to be tied with his professional achievements. He would be responsible for representing his family to the public and will potentially seek validation for every 10th house matter from his family. So career choices yes most definitely are influenced by his home life especially the mother. She might have acted very authoritarian. Again do you see the pattern, a strong more in a sense masculine type of attitude from the mother, no wonder he likes girls that are either into sports/competitive, or a bit more on the masculine side. Definitely not I.U that's for sure. At this point I would like to point out that to me there's nothing really in his chart screaming at me womaniser, especially with all this Virgo going on but his Venus is libra and while it's actually on of the signs it rules and helps him tremendously when it comes to his career, in relationships this is a very idealistic sign, that in fact finds it very hard to work things out when it comes to hardships + with that Saturn square Venus he is way more insecure that he let's on and potentially is intentionally avoiding to commit..that's all for now!

I have picked up on him intuitively always being forced to change by the universe. Because he has to evolve here too like other souls. He can't stay the same.

hello! How are you doing? Feeling any better since you caught that cold? This ask is gonna be about Sunstar mainly so I’m gonna split this up into different parts based on the questions. Knowing that Duo attacked and badly injured him I’m curious as to why? Was it cause of the bad emotions that he gave off and effected the other stardroids? Or just a chance encounter that didn’t go well? And does he just stay at one NEC or does he get the other one?

Emotions and relationship wise: Does the NEC still effect his emotions or are they more apparent then before because he only has one of the NEC he had originally? Does this change his behavior in anyway than what he was like originally? Especially his relationship with Terra and Minx(the last ask with his and Does he have any other relationships with the stardroids or know any Navis?

knowing that he’s the leader of the stardroids what does he do exactly?

with his ability being effected by emotions which sorts of emotions cause a increase in heat? Excitement, love, anger, etc. and just an angsty thought that came up has he ever out of instinct tried to grab someone out of panic or reflex and ended up burning them instead? (I assume he’s very careful but the concept of it happening to anyone(Minx, Terra, stardroid) is just a curiosity)

I'm doing much better now, thank you! I don't get sick often, so I was a bit caught off-guard, but it also happened right before break when a bunch of assignments were nearing their deadlines. 

Hopefully I'll be able to dedicate way more time to shoveling out Brainrot AU stuff now.

This is a long one! I'll post my answers below the cut.

Why did Duo attack?

There’s a lot of lore for Duo in my AU, but I'm gonna try to simplify it here.

It’s canon in the MMBN anime that Duo began to see his creators and their civilization as evil, and that he eventually destroyed all life on Earth during that time before leaving on a rocket that mimics the appearance of a comet (which is powered by Negative Energy).

In my AU, he sees all NEC-Navis as inherently “evil.”

He uses this comet to approach sources of “evil,” and gives any intelligent life he comes across a “test” to determine whether or not they as a whole are evil and should be destroyed. This also means that Sunstar and the Stardroids are always on his radar. They have clashed several times.

Duo is the first and only Viren Navi with 5 GV-Crystals in his body, and Sunstar only absorbed the extra 3 NE crystals in his body to stand a chance against Duo when no other NE-Navi could. Unfortunately, he had no idea the consequences would be so dire, and was too far gone to stop by the time he realized.

Does he just stay at one NEC?

No. Sunstar is reduced to one NEC after Duo’s attack, but he does eventually regain up to 4 out of the 5 total.

The stardroids secure the two that go into his forearms before arriving to Earth.

Terra obtains the fourth, one of his original two that go in his chest, from Ra Moon after the Stardroids arrive on New Earth.

Minx finds the 5th later..but that’s not important right now =) 

Sunstar was never ”woken up” after the attack from Duo until Terra restored his other original NEC from Ra Moon inside his chest. All the Stardroids knew of the possible side effects from either losing or receiving damage to an Energy Crystal: there had been plenty of personal and historical references to use.

Had they activated him with one NEC, Sunstar would have been missing a huge chunk of his memories. In addition to this, he would have felt his emotions with an all-new intensity that he was unfamiliar with. Think of a usually calm and intimidating individual getting reduced to tears on a regular basis or verbally lashing out after an insult that wouldn’t have normally phased him. Positive side effects would be a temporarily clear mind and non-firey hands, but the downsides outweighed them tenfold. 

The change would definitely put a strain on his relationships. It’d be like having to learn about a person all over again.

What are his relationships?

Most Earth Navis Sunstar is familiar with he has met through/with Minx when he was still “Ra Moon.” He couldn’t/wouldn’t make many friends for several reasons, but some notable cases include:

Napalmman: Both love to talk about their respective netops (Nenji/Minx), and their shared love for explosions and anything fire-related. Friend!

Also occasionally talks with some coworker Navis Napalmman is friends with.

Sprout: Carson’s hilariously underwhelming but overpowered normalnavi. Carson is one of Minx’s older brothers, and due to plot reasons, Sprout is the only other Navi Ra Moon would see occasionally when Minx was a child.

Shadowman: Frenemies. He and Miyabi tried kidnapping him several times at one point, and Ra Moon loves to tease/annoy him whenever he gets the chance.

Shademan: Hate. Can and will fight on sight.

Forte/Bass: Sympathetic, but best to avoid. His relationship with Dr. Cossack (manga-based) is semi-mirrored by his relationship with Minx.

As for the other Stardroids…I hate to admit I have not thought of many specific interactions between Sunstar and all of them. This is the perfect opportunity to brainstorm though! Hmm..

Saturn would likely be chilly to Sunstar given his crush on Terra. Sunstar would probably dislike his poor work ethic and pull the occasional prank on him.   

Venus looks up to him, and while Sunstar finds her adorable, he regularly gives her physically harder tasks (like leading training sessions) to satiate her pride.

Sunstar is practically the only one who interacts with Mars–they both have a mutual understanding of the other, as each were deemed “monsters” by the Viren civilization. I wouldn’t describe them as friends, though.

Mercury annoys him to hell and back and Sunstar does his best to station Mercury as far away from himself as possible. 

Jupiter is one of the only Stardroids who will actively seek out Sunstar without going through Terra first. He has a deep respect for Sunstar’s strength, and finds him less intimidating due to his friendship with Uranus.

Uranus is terrified of Sunstar but plays it off with bravado by challenging him to fights. He has yet to win.

Sunstar likes Pluto and Jupiter maybe the most due to their sort-of friendship with Terra. Also, because Sunstar is absolutely a cat person.

I’ll need to think further on some of the other ones.

What does he do?

Sunstar was created to serve as a symbol of protection for Virens, but more importantly for NEC Navis. He shadowed Terra for three major things:

How to lead as a representative for NEC Navi’s

How to observe and deal with hostile rival alien civilizations that may pose a threat to specific Viren settlements 

How to prevent and manage NE-Navi-related disputes while striving for a positive social image

Admittedly, Sunstar shadowed Terra for a majority of his time after being created. He very rarely acted without first consulting or collaborating with Terra first. Terra had both more knowledge and experience than him, but he also commanded more trust and respect from the population and other Viren leaders/council members.

Before Duo mutinied against the Viren civilization on Earth, Sunstar wanted to implement at least two policies/practices:

Raising awareness of and liquidating misinformation surrounding the nature of Negative Energy Crystals and NE-Navis.

The removal of exclusively positive or negative energy crystals.

He had proof it was possible for a hybrid design.

Now, though?

His ship is stranded on Earth with Duo no doubt closing in. The civilization that he was responsible for previously before is dead. The only thing he can do is try to protect the life he has secured on New Earth with friends and family, new and old.

After reawakening with 4 NECs, Sunstar proceeds to lose the 2 in his forearms during a battle on Earth soon after re-arriving. They get shattered in the heat of the battle, and a decent chunk of Arc 2 is spent hunting down the shards before Duo can arrive.

What emotions cause an increase in heat?

Emotions like anger, fear, sadness, or any combination of those that can leave him feeling overwhelmed. Again, Sunstar’s emotions are more muted than regular NE-Navis, given he has two NECs. That means whatever he’s feeling has to be pretty intense for it to affect him so deeply, but he is most prone to anger out of any other ‘provocative’ emotion. 

Also! He kind of hates how his hands can be a “tell” for him. He may have a stoic persona, but there’s only so much you can hide behind an empty stare, or later, a mask, without your furiously flaming hands giving you away.

Has he burned someone accidentally?

It doesn’t happen often anymore, not like when he was first created, but my god does it devastate him when it does. He knows what happens when he touches things: they burn. He can’t help but ask himself, why does he still slip up? He knows his loved ones know it is never out of malice, that it’s an accident, that they forgive him, but he finds it hard to forgive himself. 

It’s safe to say Sunstar has accidentally burned nearly all of the Stardroids at least once. For specific people, though?

Uranus: weirdly enough he wants to fight Sunstar hand-to-hand. Close combat is his forte, and he wants to prove he’s strong enough to push through and kind of foe–or pain.

Mercury: he is absolutely enough of an annoying bastard for Sunstar to chase him down on several occasions until he either hands over whatever he has stolen from another Stardroid, apologizes to whoever he pissed off, or mans his station.

Terra: multiple times back on Viren Earth. A few scenarios:

Sunstar grabbing Terra by the shoulders to protect him from falling debris

Sunstar accidentally burned Terra when the latter passed him something by hand.

Without thinking, Sunstar tried holding Terra’s hand during a wholesome moment for both.

Minx: (so far) twice.

Minx tried holding his hand, thoughtlessly.

Sunstar grabbed and pulled Minx by the arm to prevent her from wandering into oncoming traffic at night.

He always apologizes profusely, but has a bad habit of isolating himself for hours and sometimes days afterwards.

He was apologizing for months afterwards.

Although - and forgive me if I ramble a bit here - this takes place in a Ruin equivalent time yeah? Wouldn’t Cassie be more banged up? It’d be sad but she probably would be right? :[

It’s okay, I’m sure Roxy could fix her up. She probably does her own car maintenance ‘cause she’s a badass.

Ooh, now I’m also wondering what a base-game Swap would be like…

Lol, it should take place during the day and Freddy’s trying to smuggle Gregory out, and shenanigans ensue! (Possibly Gregory is due to be scrapped, so Freddy wants to keep the clearly sentient, slightly feral-acting child-like robot from that fate. He got emotionally attached <3)

Of course, if Roxy and Freddy are visiting there then there is prolly some attraction attracting lone adult patrons.. idk what that means for changes to the theme of the Megaplex.. But that’s not important right now!

Also, the main obstacle for Freddy would just generally be that he is trying to steal a child-sized robot in broad daylight while the place is possibly open/at least has workers there that he has to dodge. Good luck to the big guy.

Actually, the now-humans could be workers at the Plex. Like say instead of having tons of bots all over, they only had a few (like Cassie, Gregory, and possibly Vanny?) that were designed specifically to seem/be completely harmless, and more childlike. Cassie and Gregory could’ve been made to attend birthday parties (especially of lonely/upset kids), and Vanny could be a playful and friendly older figure who helps lost kids and cheers up anyone who’s feeling down. (I’d probably include Vanessa as a security program assigned to Vanny because. Security guard. Plus we’ve already seen that with Moon.)

In this case Gregory would probably still be messed up and act weird and get retired and shut down to be scrapped for parts, leading to Freddy finding him and rebooting him and then deciding to take him home once he figures out what’s up.

That kinda begs the question of what everyone’s jobs would be in the Plex, ‘cause how would Freddy find Gregory? And why would Cassie and Roxy be close in this version?

Well I have some answers to that!! ….I have no idea what Freddy’s job would be! He has. Very little by way of interesting character traits. Same with Monty. Why are the men so uninteresting in this game. Maybe Freddy’s a manager, since he was the leader of the band? Maybe he was taking inventory when he found Gregory? Idk!

Chica is definitely easier to pick for because she actually has distinct traits, and gets the obvious choice of working in the kitchen/bakery. (On that note, this kind of feels like a lower tech AU with less automated jobs, so managerial work/cooking/other tasks that are automated in SB I’ll give to people lol)

Would it be a dick move to make Monty a janitor? Lmao I swear I don’t hate him but idk what to give him at this point. Night guard? He could be a night guard.

….do I need to assign Bonnie a job? Wouldn’t he technically be dead? (He’s associated with the wet floor bots right? He could be a janitor.)

Who I REALLY have ideas for is everybody’s favorite, Roxy!! Saved her for last cause I knew I’d go on about her. She would totally be the maintenance gal for the race track - keeping the karts in working order, making sure the track is safe to drive on, etc. I imagine she could also do general maintenance, but her main area she works in is the racetrack.

As for how she and Cassie met. Well. Roxy is shown to be a very insecure person in the games. So what if the people she knew were busy and forgot/missed her birthday? And a little bunny, built for accompanying lonely and upset folks on their birthday, sees how upset she is, and overhears Roxy talking to herself and mention her birthday?

Well, I’m just saying, that little bun might just go hunt down a spare small cake from the bakery to put some candles in, and saunter her way into the nearly empty room to place it right in front of her new friend, smile, and say “Happy birthday, Roxy!”

The thems <3 I hope any of this makes sense I am just Thinking About Them…..

OMG THESE ARE SUCH GOOD IDEAS ANON. BIG BRAINED !!! I love the job choices for the gang (Monty being a janitor/nightguard is so funny 😭) and Vanny being along with animatronic Cassie and Gregory is rlly good, it's something I definitely I thought of! (She would be a rabbit ofc)

And that last part IS SO CUUTE !! I need to draw young Roxy with Cassie.....

And to answer your first question: Yes, it takes place in ruin and she would be banged up. But!! I decided not to draw her ruined version because I wanted to show off her design, if that makes sense?? :0 when I do expand on this au, I'll change it in the future which will be PAINFUL :(

There's an AU where Ulla, Donella and Quirin fled to Saporia after Fred's father didn't listen to Fred and Varian was raised Saporian and also in full knowledge of who and what he is and uses alchemy and his powers to play pranks on Corona and tease the King and is called the "Blue-Stripe-Bandit". (Aged-up Varian)

Conqueror of Corona: Rapunzel returns to Corona to find Varian has taken over and has also seduced nearly every man and woman in the Kingdom, including her parents! Can she resist his teasing temptations, or will she give in? (NSFW, aged-up)

There's an AU that's an RP I'm doing with Viruna that features Rapunzel sneaking in and finding Varian has taken over her room and her bed and he has no intention of moving out OR giving back her Kingdom.

There's an AU where Rapunzel didn't think to use the decay incantation to free Quirin and Varian is pardoned but still alone without his father after she tried and failed to use the healing incantation on the amber and avoids people in his manor while translating the scroll for Rapunzel as part of his redemption.

There's an AU where Varian betrays Rapunzel during "Cassandra's Revenge" after Cassandra tells him that the spell that Rapunzel wants to keep from her will help her lower the rocks in the Kingdom and persuades him to her side, especially since Rapunzel forgot to tell Varian WHY, exactly, they couldn't let her have that power.

There's a Star-Crossed Lovers AU where Corona and Lunos are at war and the Sun and Moon (and their hosts) are fighting each other but the hosts don't actually want to fight and so they meet in secret defying their Kingdoms and their Celestial Powers to have a secret love affair and refusing to use their powers to help in the war. (aged-up Varian

There's an AU where Zhan Tiri realizes Varian has moon powers when he reacts strangely to the decay incantation during the battle and drops her whole plan to capture him for study and takes him away to a hideaway built of golden rocks.

I'll See You on the Dark Side of the Sun: An AU that has a fic I've been poking at where Rapunzel, shortly after moving to the castle, goes into the SunSpot by accident while sneaking outside of the castle and gets involved with a cloaked man with an aphrodisiac cologne and dark intentions. Lucky for her (or is it? She doesn't think so) there's a dark angel from the sunlit side of the Kingdom that is watching out for her, though his arrival is a little late. (Aged-up Varian, NSFW)

Two Men and a Demon Baby: An AU where Varian Tiri is a baby demon that hatched when Fred was grieving his missing daughter and Quirin took him to see his secret Kingdom-secret demon egg, which caused the baby to imprint on both of them.

Villain Teamup: An AU where Cassandra went straight back to Corona instead of wandering aimlessly and found Varian and Andrew recently broken out of prison. (This AU was made LONG before I came up with High-Security, Lucas, Varian being whipped, or Andrew's mistreatment, and also has Andrew being an asshole, but still a big brother to Varian.) The trio team up and later recruit Lady Caine as they plot to attack Corona once all the royals are in town.

Town Secret: An AU where Varian seeks out Gothel for help with a horrible sickness in the village and Gothel brings Rapunzel to heal them all, and they swear to keep Rapunzel's presence a secret from the Capital. (Aged-up Varian)

An AU where Varian and Rapunzel are swapped; age, stones, and roles in life. Varian is now the kidnapped prince and raised by Gothel to believe he's a flower turned human and lives with Gothel and his mother's cursed colleague Regulus. Ulla is Queen, Quirin is King, Rapunzel is the village weirdo, Frederic is in the Brotherhood and Arianna was an adventurous princess from another land that fell in love with the handsome knight and settled down in Old Corona with him. And Eugene and Cassandra are where they usually are.

Eye for an Eye: An AU where Varian goes COMPLETELY off the deep-end after being broken out of prison by the rocks and going to claim the Moonstone Opal before Rapunzel has even reached Vardaros and later returns into the public eye having recruited many criminals until his "Knights of the Moon" and a thirst for absolutely humiliating and destroying Rapunzel and Frederic, capturing Frederic and later luring Rapunzel into an impossible game to win her father back or be their captive as well. (Aged in-story, NSFW)

Little Demanitus: An AU where, following the events of "Cassandra's Revenge", Varian is approached by Zhan Tiri and enticed into making a Deal with her to help her remove the Sun and Moon powers from Rapunel and Cassandra, and to study them with her as she once did with Demanitus.

There's an AU where Andrew is abhorrently abusive that he keeps Varian inside, hides the fact the King and Queen are dead and the city is in ruins and, once Varian is sixteen, takes advantage of the fact he will do anything to make him happy. (Might trash this, I actually don't enjoy it and only wrote up an outline out of pure spite.) (Implied NSFW)

New Girl in Town: There's an AU where Varian escaped prison during an earthquake and flees the Kingdom, only to return years later disguised as a woman with magic (see the necklaces in "The Secret of the black Rocks") to sneak into the castle as a maid and seduce both Eugene and Rapunzel to cause trouble in paradise, as well as cause some trouble for the Kingdom in secret. (Another might scrap)

Make you Proud: An AU where Varian joins Rapunzel on her trip to the Demanitus Device because he collapsed from the long run and so wasn't thrown out and was with Rapunzel when she spoke with Xavier.

Arranged: An AU where Varian is arranged to marry Rapunzel but she loves Eugene who her father doesn't approve of and Varian has been carrying on a relationship with Cassandra in secret (aged-up)

I have a question.

Scraptrap and Max were alone for lord knows how long, right? At least thirty years of fighting the cruel world on their own. My question is : what did they do to stay sane? I mean big things and small. Did they dance? Did they sing? Did they make lists of what they appriciate about their situation? What did they do?

There is actually an upcoming one shot for Another Five Nights 2 to cover some of their adventures over the years.

It's pretty directly stated in the series --and this oneshot it will especially-- that their togetherness is/was what kept them sane. Max still had his radio, and music stations--although he only had one tape over the years, never stealing more than what they needed. (He would lift things to fix Scraptrap before he would try for things HE needed. Scrap often scolded him.)

They traveled, wandered, hunkered down. Winter was hardest on Max. Summer was hardest on Springtrap. Fall was their favorite, Halloween night was the one night of the year they could roam a neighborhood and be treated like people. It continues to be their favorite time of the year, even after returning to the Fazgang.

They lingered by bleachers around high schools, watching games. Max never finished high school, and some part of him would be forever pulled to that stolen teenagehood.

Scrap provided comfort, security, a best friend, and a weapon all rolled into one. Except all Max really wanted was someone to understand and have his back--so that's what the spare Springbonnie model became.

They stayed in barns, abandoned houses, skulked by docks and storage containers, wandered junk yards the most and for the longest. (They stayed in an not-so abandoned junk yard, but made friends the old codger who lived there, earning cash for repairing what he asked them and keeping their secret.)

Libraries were good places, although Max had to cover up and he would avoid any places with over-friendly librarians.

Max liked sleeping somewhere safe, Scrap liked finding interesting things to fiddle and play with. He would often find stray cats and kittens and make friends, causing Max to have to shoo kittens out of Scrap's cavity. (FMA reference XD) Max is afraid of dogs, but Scrap will try to make friends with them unless it comes down to defending Max. Then he's ruthless and often doesn't understand why he can't harm humans/anything that bother them. He knows he would always win. Max has to lecture him early on that "that isn't the point."

They did make friends, too. But they also made enemies--or at the very least, inspired local tales of horror.

And they never tolerated bullies, even if it did risk them being spotted. They never put down roots, but they never strayed too far from Hurricane, although some years they wandered more than others, and got lost. Neither much carried. Getting lost was a perfect skill after a while.

And yes, there was fighting with the world for survival. But the world was soft to them too. At least, softer in ways than Max expected when it was just him and a hollow animatronic that looked at him like he hung the moon.

The Fierce Deity: Dark vs Evil

In The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, there is a transformation Link can attain at the end of the game known as Fierce Deity.

People often assume that he is an evil god who is more powerful that Majora. One reason it is assumed that he is evil is the in-game text when Link receives the Fierce Deity’s Mask:

This leads to assumption 1: “dark=evil”

There is another reason many fans think he is evil. When directly translating the kanji for Fierce Deity Link into English, many translate it as “Oni God Link”

This leads to assumptions 2 and 3: “Oni God is the proper translation” and “All Oni are evil.”

I will begin by addressing the assumption that darkness is inherently evil. Is night time evil? Yes, there is danger in the night. Wild animals, harmful spirits, malicious humans. But there is also much that is good. It is a time of peaceful rest when one has shelter in a secure location. The night can also be rather beautiful when gazing at the moon and starlight rippling on the water. One could argue that dark in this case is neutral, having qualities of both the good and the bad. Is the day inherently good? Yes, the sun may nourish us, keeping us warm and providing energy. But the sun can also parch, burn, cause cancer, kill. In many ways, while the day time feels safer than the night, it can be just as dangerous.

Even in a more spiritual perspective, there are the people who focus on the light who are gentle and nourishing. And then there are the zealots who will burn you to the ground with their overly intense insistence on what the light means to them. No care or compassion. There are people of a darker nature who are aggressive or devious, seeking to steal and destroy. But there are also those in the dark who are capable of destruction but prefer to offer a glimpse into one’s own darkness like a mirror for understanding and also prefer to offer the rest of a peaceful and beautiful night.

As for Oni? Yes, many could be described as evil, torturing and devouring humans for fun and for their nourishment. But there are also Oni who are benevolent protectors. They are complex. Which brings me to the direct translation of the kanji for Fierce Deity Link. It is common for it to be translated as “Oni God” but the more proper reading is Kishin. A Kishin in Japanese Buddhism is a wrathful (or fierce) deity who is a protector of the Dharma. Probably the most well known of these Kishin are the Wisdom Kings who take on a frightening visage in order to chase away evil and utterly destroy obstacles in the path to enlightenment, harboring great compassion.

In the center of this painting of the Wisdom Kings is Fudo Myō-ō, the Indomitable Foe of Evil. He is an incredibly important deity in Buddhism, especially in Japan. Many schools of Buddhism and Shinbutsu, most notably the Yamabushi of the Shugendō religion. He is often revered alongside the bodhisattva Kannon, known as the goddess of mercy and compassion.

It is because of this that I say Fierce Deity Link isn’t evil but is instead a direct reference to the five Wisdom Kings. He is situated in the center of the four giants of Termina much like Fudo-sama is seated at the center of the Wisdom Kings.

He takes on a terrifying form to destroy evil and protect the people.

We all have light and dark within us. I intend to embrace my inner shadow as part of myself and love it until my light is like The Chosen Hero and my dark is The Fierce Deity.
