no ok one last post but lucan kinda popped off with the pompey&sons fated to die in the three continents pompey triumphed over thing because not only does it give those deaths a very cool generational curse sort of vibe, they also died literally "according to [their] triumphs" aka the pompey triumphs each would have first appeared in (pompey alone for africa in 79bc, gnaeus for spain in 71bc, sextus for asia in 61bc).

i love how when i draw TF2xDBD stuff people assume that its the mercs being brought to the entity's realm which, to be fair, does make MORE sense. however my mental image is usually that the mercs did something to accidentally kidnap the DBD characters from the entity's realm and into the TF2 universe.

Like Merasmus was trying to summon something to kill the mercs or whatever and accidentally stole an eldritch god's play things. that'd probably be something he'd do.

I was going skimming through VLR again to screenshot some scenes I wanted to talk about, but while I was doing that I suddenly remembered how bullshit the 9BP game overs were. Y'know, the endings where Sigma has enough points to leave but immediately gets jumped by everybody and prevented to leave? Yeah, those ones. I'm not surprised that they pounced on Sigma, he did betray their trust for his own gain so that feeling of betrayal leading to that reaction is all fine and understandable except why the hell don't other characters get this same treatment?? I swear, everyone else excluding Luna has screwed the group over at some point some where some timeline, but they all get off scott free. Especially Dio, and personally that is just an actual affront to justice and my sanity, I freaking swear. When Sigma, the nicest (albeit most perverted) guy in the cast attempts to escape, all love for the man is lost and he gets stomped on, his arm chopped off and abandoned and left to die in a heartbeat, just no hesitation, but when goddamn betray-happy cultish asshatish douchebag Dio screws everyone and attempts to escape, all of a sudden the characters forget that-- oh I don't know-- tackling that twink is a totally valid option but instead they just go "alas, there is no point anymore he's already won" so this man just gets to walk out that door all proud of himself like what the fuck?? How is that fair in any way??? What the hell are they all smoking to be fine with that????

i do wonder if Lewis was the one to get out of Ever After, either because Alyx had a last minute change of heart or if her betrayal backfired, and thats why the story portrays her more positively but still keeping her negative aspects somewhat intact.

Like, her negative qualities are still in the story, because Yang mentions that Alyx lied and cheated her way through the Ever After but if Alyx wrote it herself and made herself look better, why even include those bits? But it does make sense to me that her brother, who was grieving her loss but also aware of who she was and what she did, would soften those traits out of love for her but not remove them because they were still who she was and to pretend otherwise would be a lie and disrespectful to her memory. Because while Alyx was selfish and even cruel at times, she wasn’t a monster. she was his sister.

if sunbeam has kits at the end of this arc, that leaves us with 1 female protag who hadnt had kits (hollyleaf), and the only reason she didnt have kits is because she died first (bristlefrost i dont think counts in his category because its made clear if she had lived, she would have had kits)

twigbranch hasn't had any! i actually counted her instead of bristlefrost because i agree, the fact the erins wrote her DYING FANTASY was to have babies and like....not be surrounded by friends and family. drives me bonkers!! i don't think it's unreasonable to want more female character who don't have children, don't want children, and aren't demonized for it (twigbranch is the first but she's overshadowed by the sheer amount of "bad moms" in the narrative).

i'm expecting her to have next arc babies honestly, but i'd be very pleasantly surprised if she didn';t (please please please please please pelase)

Okay, so I have a lot of scenarios that I adore that just have GOOFY silly premises but that, like. require a lot of "cartoon logic" to make it work.

Like the idea of a Giant accidentally tripping over a parked car, but the driver is fine and the Giant is flustered and profusely apologizing. And it's just a funny, silly, goofy situation that might also lead into a meet-cute

teacher said our presentation was amazing and exceeded her expectations and that we did a great job creatively finding sources since she didn't realize how few there were when she assigned it to us 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

The Critical Role plot point that keeps me up at night is the corrupted portion of the Savalirwood/Molaesmyr and how it’s connected to the corrupted forest in Aeor.

BART ALLEN OUTSIDER POV FIC PROMPT: WAIT WAS BART IN A CULT?

Bart Allen, only 13 years old, ends up getting enrolled back into school to learn about modern history to unlearn the Reach’s vastly altered version of history that he was taught and to connect with non-meta kids his age.

He goes to central city middle school after jumping back to the future. The students there quickly notice that the new kid is a very weird guy.

- Bart said he came from Keystone city yet can’t name a single thing about Keystone.

- Despite being a class clown, he’s weirdly serious about certain topics and asking anything about the future causes Bart’s eyes to glaze over for a second

- He doesn’t know anything about pop culture.

- When asked what his favorite movie was for his “get to know you question,” Bart responded that he didn’t watch a lot of movies. He responded similarly for every other icebreaker question. Including favorite ice cream where when he replied, “I’ve never had ice cream” cue the class erupting in commotion and disbelief that took the teacher 10 minutes to calm down

- He doesn’t know about current social media trends. As a few months of him in school goes by, it becomes apparent that he’s almost never up to date on current or past social media trends.

- He’s absolutely horrible at history outside of some recent metahuman & JL events.

- He doesn’t seem to know how school works. Like, a kid goes up to him and offers to do his homework if Bart pays her because she noticed he was struggling with history... and Bart acts very confused. “Isn’t that not allowed?” And that comment confuses the shit out of the girl trying to get money out of Bart and they eventually continue talking and agreeing on her tutoring Bart free of charge. After a while he opens up to her about having difficulties remembering which history is which when writing essays but refuses to elaborate, leading her to think that Bart used to go to a Catholic school.

- in the lunch room, Bart said he didn’t know who Lady Gaga was and it began a trend of kids asking if he knew who [celebrity] was & bets were placed on if he did or didn’t (Bart caught on quickly and educated himself on this the day he found out so he wouldn’t seem too out of touch. It was boring quickly so he stopped keeping up with celebrity gossip quick)

- When interrogated about his lack of knowledge in media, he said he lived an “isolated childhood” and was homeschooled until recently

- Eventually in the locker room, when changing people notice his scars (unknown why them but they’re the results of The Reach’s reign and enforcement of control over the metas)

And the middle schoolers put the pieces together: Bart escaped from a doomsday cult.

- and the rumor spreads like fucking wildfire

- That’s why he has the scars, they must have punished him for defying the cult! That must be why he escaped!

- That’s why he said he had an isolated childhood and “can’t remember which history is the correct one”

- That’s why Bart has to have the worksheets for the lower grades given to him during worktime because he’s catching up on what he wasn’t taught while in the cult!

- That’s why his handwriting is famously awful to read! The cult must’ve not let him write so they couldn’t communicate to escape!

- That’s why he’s so touchy about talking about the future!

- That’s why he’s so awkward actually talking to people! He never got experience in the cult because he couldn’t talk to outsiders!

- That’s why he uses weird slang nobody’s ever heard of.

- That’s why he didn’t know what a giraffe was!

- That’s why he randomly disappears from school for weeks at a time, because he’s getting treatment from brainwashing!

- The brainwashing treatment rumor eventually devolves into that Bart disappears randomly for days or weeks at a time from school because he needs to pray to the gods he worshipped at certain times or is trying to escape back to the cult but keeps getting brought back; to he’s under the witness protection program and needs to be hidden from cult members trying to find Bart and bring him back (backers of this version claim that’s why they can’t find any records of a ‘Bart Allen’ anywhere online is because it’s a fake identity). and so the rumor’s light connection to reality devolves rapidly

- They’re middle schoolers so the rumors get a little weird (if not downright bizarre & essentially nonsensical because, again, middle schoolers. I only faintly remember rumors from middle school at this point but I remember they started relatively normal and then got fucking weird and most made zero logical sense ) but they center around one main thing: explaining away every weird thing about Bart on the fact that he recently escaped a doomsday cult
