I want. Four to get appreciation. Because
Four gave a ton of unnoticed help when Twilight was injured
The fight with Wild was difficult, and I know we're all concerned about his negative view of the shadow crystal
But Four did something that no one else really thought of to help- He took care of Twi's stuff
From the beginning he told Twilight to not worry about them
Tumblr media
So Four took care of pretty much everything but the others (that Sky and Wars handled)
He took care of Epona
Tumblr media
Which is so very important- he took care of Twilight's horse. After her arrival at the stable Four followed up on her
And for Epona, a horse so attached to her human, having some company can help so much for reassurance
He took care of Twilight's stuff
Tumblr media
He got Twi's shield- his bags and equipment, and organized it into one place
And he was worried. He obviously found the shadow crystal while handling Twi's stuff, but his negative reactions to it were out of concern.
Tumblr media
Also- because of his placement in this scene
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm fairly convinced Four was ready to start cooking before Wild showed up (since he's beside the counter with food supplies). At the very least he had the basket of fruit out for everyone -but he was literally standing with food behind him- he thought of everything
And he did housekeeping!
Wars payed for the inn, so Four took care of the inn
Tumblr media
Realistically these boys were probably not too concerned with tidyness. Four got all of Twi's things on one table, and took care of the room they stayed in
Tumblr media
Organizing tables and Twi's things, having food supplies ready, and opening the curtains- overall he was the one tidying up the inn
Four helped in a huge way! He took care of Twi's horse (Epona is so important), his equipment and shield and bag, as well as the other rooms in the inn
Four filled in all the little tasks that others didn't think of. He helped in ways that were needed, but not obvious
There's a lot of problems with the shadow crystal and with Wild, and I don't know what's gonna happen in the future
But don't forget this- don't forget that Four was one who stepped up in an almost unnoticeable way
Don't forget that when everyone was barely holding it together, Four visited Twilight's horse and took care of his things
No matter what develops in the future- this amount of care shown is important ya know?
.
Art and comic from Jojo @linkeduniverse au :)))
#epona is so important#Lu four#linkeduniverse#linked universe#I work with horses and#Epona is INCREDIBLE- she's extremely attuned to humans and emotions. she doesn't scare easily and can keep her cool in a fight#but it's still super stressful to suddenly be in a fairly large and populated town- separated from her person#and for such an empathetic horse? Four going and TALKING to her- gently petting her nose and just being near her#means so so much! that literally matters so much to a horses mental state in a foreign situation- just having company#he checked on Epona and gave her company like !!!!!! it's so considerate and means so much for Epona! Four I love you !!!!!#uhhhh yeah!#with the food- I don't think the innkeeper would have free/complimentary food out- but wars wallet def had it covered#then wild showed up with potions in a cooking frenzy- but four was still shown with food behind him- he thought of everything#I don't know what's gonna happen with the shadow crystal and stuff. but no matter what happens in the future- this matters.#he did a ton of small things no one else thought of it matters he cares so much didjdkdksjfjj#I have a lot of posts I'm making/editing and trying to get to. I'm just a little gal trying my best :/#so many ideas and so little time... I love you guys and this fandom so much :))#(if I said anything off or offensive let me know... I'm always nervous about that but I want to hear from you if I'm wrong)#(also you are so so cool and valuable don't forget that ok? I love you and you are important)#:)

Linked Universe Character Guide
I made this LU character guide for my friends and I thought it might be useful for any new LU fans out there! And also for anyone else who wants to info dump to friends about LU. So here you go :D
These characters are of course based on @linkeduniverse by Jojo! But, disclaimer, this does include some non-canon stuff (primarily the fandom nicknames and some War of Ages things) that’s common in fanfiction :). I made this for fun and for my friends so it includes my favorite tropes, canon and fanon.
Edit 4/4/23: Alt text and image descriptions added. Alt text only describes the official character art image (descriptions of all the images were too long for alt text and they were being cut off by my screen). Image text and other image descriptions are at the bottom of the post.

More LU update commentary wahoo :D
Dawn pt. 9
Twi apparently loves shopping sales! If that’s the case, I bet he would he would love thrift stores too (I love thrift stores). And Four has chores to do, uh oh 😆
Tumblr media
Poor little Sky, I’m so sorry. He misses his Zelda so much 🥺😭 I wonder if that line was just for laughs or hinting at anything more specific. There’s no actual line in LU canon (that I’m aware of) that confirms they’re dating or anything. I hope we get some more backstory with him soon.
Tumblr media
There’s a common theory going around about what Time’s letter is about… If it turns out to be true, awesome. If not, hmmm…
Tumblr media
Twilight’s face here is precious! He goes from surprised and smitten to absolute joy right away. Even Epona has a big “!” showing that she’s just as happy to see him too. 🥰
Tumblr media
“You see how quick he turned?” Gotta love the brotherly teasing. Wars and Wild knew the “special lady” line would grab his attention right away XD. I do wonder, though, did a particular person come to mind when Twi heard that? Ilia perhaps? Hmm…
Tumblr media
Parkour!!!
Tumblr media
“Guys… come on, be normal” My man, Warriors, they are teenage boys with boundless energy, they don’t know the meaning of “normal”
Tumblr media
Legend STILL refuses to believe that Warriors has money 😆 Bro, he’s a royal knight, a recognized hero in his time, and the max amount of rupees you can get in HW:DE is like ten million or something. If anyone has money, it’s him. Though I wonder if this has any significance for the future. Is Wars’ career/ salary going to have some importance later on? Or is this just meant to be a running gag?
Tumblr media
Love a good group picture
Tumblr media
I like this little conversation between Wind and Hyrule… they may have been goofballs just a few pages ago, but they know their mission, and they’re not dumb. They also never interacted much in the past from what I can remember, so it’s nice to see them talking together.
Tumblr media
I also like this final panel of seeing the town from a distance. It feels like… when you finish the last page of a book and close it, being satisfied with the ending but still knowing there’s a sequel on the way.
Another great update and a fantastic conclusion to the Dawn arc. My utmost respect goes to Jojo on continuing this series for as long as she has been and at the amazing quality that it is. The story is only just beginning, and I look forward to the next chapter of this adventure ❤️

• Twilight • Sunsets •
Summary: Twilight surprises you with a ride through the forest to a little spot he’d picked out just for you.
Characters: Lu Twilight x GN!Reader
Warnings + AN: none, safe for everyone. Written by Mishwanders. Pls do not repost. Reblogs are appreciated though! @xxbuttercup and @wayfayrr have been filling my head with ideas lmao. Thanks for helping me break the writing drought!
“Come on, darling. I’ve got something to show ya.”
Twilight held his hand out to you from his position seated atop Epona. He’d been out patrolling the area while the rest of the chain were setting up for camp late that afternoon and it seemed he’d found something he thought was worthwhile.
You obliged him, placing a foot in the stirrup and a hand in his as he pulled you up to the saddle. He kept a hand on the reign, wrapping an arm around your waist. He reassured you that it was “just to keep you secure”, but with the playful smile lingering on his lips and the gentle yet firm placement of his hand on your hip, you knew he was enjoying the moment to have you close to him.
Epona then turned on his command and trotted through the dimly lit forest to the mysterious destination away from camp. Your mind wandered in curiosity to what he’d found, what he thought was so important to show you. The answer soon came to you when they brought you to a clearing at the cliffs edge.
The sky looked as if it were a painting with its vast array of purples, blues, pinks, and orange with drops of white stars settling into it, on the canvas of it all as dusk settled over Hyrule.
“It’s beautiful.” You admitted softly, eyes still turned upward at the sky in awe.
Twilight smiled at your words, replying, “You’re not wrong about that sweetheart.”
He leaned in to you, wrapped both his arms around you now, pulling you closer as he rested his head on your shoulder. You could have sworn you felt his heart beat racing faster in his chest as you leaned back against him and into the embrace.
It was nice moment, romantic even as you both stayed there in comfortable silence, watching the sun slowly descend down, revealing more stars. You couldn’t help but take subtle glances at him, admiring his handsome features in the soft light. The name Twilight was befitting of him, for he looked like he belonged here in this moment.
But you could tell something was lingering in his mind as he looked out over the horizon. His brows furrowed slightly, jaw tightened, indicating he was lost in thought.
You hand up to his arm, gently thumbing it to soothe him. “You alright?”
Twilight snapped out of his pensive thoughts, returning your question with a soft smile. “Yeah. I’m just thinkin’.”
“About?”
“About how this time of day used to make me feel lonely after everything I’ve been through.”
“Feeling a bit melancholy?” You asked, growing concerned.
He chuckled, nuzzling into your neck as he murmured, “Not even in the slightest.”
You laughed at the ticklish sensation, gently swatting his arm around your waist. Your reaction spurred him further, leading him to trail kisses up your neck, along the edge of your jaw, all the way to your heated cheek.
“Mmm, but you do make moments like this all the better.” He admitted, “It’s nice getting to watch a sunset with someone special.”
You turned your head towards him, surprising him with a kiss of your own. “I agree. It’s nice to just get to see it all like this. Do you think after this whole trip is over, that we might be able to do this back home?”
His smile beamed at the mention of home, the thought of it with you by his side caused his stomach to stir in gleeful anticipation for such a day.
Twilight kissed you back, his arms squeezing you closer to him as he replied, “I’d love that.”

Weird Horsegirl Ganondorf fun fact of today is that in Ocarina of Time Ganondorf rides without a bridle! Even in the concept art his horse lacks any bit or reigns (as does Epona, and every other horse).
What it mainly means is that the N64 didn't have the power to mess with an unnecessary complex item to render -- but what it could be interpreted to mean for the sake of fandom fun is that the horses are raised and trained to be ridden bridleless.
Not to be up my own headcanons about horses being a big thing in Gerudo Valley and Malon's mom being Gerudo and there being a reason that Gan's horse is specified as a pure black Gerudo Stallion because other Gerudo horses don't look like that but -- have you seen the dressings on the other horses?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of them, even Zelda's horse, have a call to Gerudo patterning. Except for Epona, who was only able to be approached, touched, and ridden by Link and presumably Malon herself.
It's no secret that the Gerudo are more or less pulled from African and Arabic cultures, but fun fact about Arabian horses, they used to be given as prized gifts to royalty and important political figures.
So if they are inspired by Arabian horse history --
Although the specific area of the Arabian Peninsula where the breed originated can’t be pinpointed, it is widely accepted that around 2500 B.C., the Bedouin people were responsible for developing the desert horses that became the ancestors of the Arabian horse. The nomads’ keen horse sense and meticulous attention to proper care and breeding created an animal that could withstand the harsh environment of the desert, surviving extreme heat and cold with little water and the food they shared with their handlers. A life of travel also required horses with great lung capacity, endurance and stamina. (x)
It's very possible that all of the horses in OoT have ancestry in Gerudo Valley!

Calling him master. Considering what we know from twilight princess and the hero of time and the hero of twilight this makes a bunch of sense.
Tumblr media
Oh he's so pretty
So from my understanding of Twilight's lore, He sees time as a mentor (Hence calling him master.) Twilight seems to be alive here, so i would say that this is either during his actual adventure or just after it, meaning that the area we see around them must be Twilight's time.
(Also Epona beloved)
Tumblr media
OH MY GOD HE DID IT THE HERO
WE GOT A TIME BOOP IN COMIC IT IS CANON NOW
Tumblr media
link will 100% do it again, maybe even Twilight will get involved.
Tumblr media
Trying to decipher what Sky was saying here was fun, also Sky being protective of Link gives me life okay
Sky truly is the best
Tumblr media
God these enemies are so cool!
Tumblr media
The cinnamon roll needs assistance, is that why he's in orange? Cause he's a little cinnamon roll?
(New headcanon you can't stop me)
Tumblr media
Save him
Tumblr media
SKYYYYYY
Protective Sky is the best Sky alright
He's so cool!
But the lines I assume are from the spirit barrier from before. Like he's fighting the barrier to be here? Is this gonna hurt Sky to do this? It looks like he's struggling.
I'm going to assume he can't keep this up forever and this is a last resort move.
Tumblr media
And Time knowing Sky?! Hello? Makes me wonder if the spirits have been in contact like this.
But I've got a theory about this
I think Time may have not been the only one to aid Twilight. Hence why he knows Sky.
I dont have much to base this on right now but I'm hoping we will see more about this in the next chapter so I can elaborate on this further.
Also look at Link grabbing Time's scarf like he's a toddler, the little question marks are just so adorable and I love this man okay.
Okay, I think thats everything! Thank you so much for hanging out with me as I go through this comic and yell about my faves and the cinnamon roll that is this iteration of link.
And thanks again to the artist for letting me do this!
Hope you have a wonderful day! :D

Could you possibly write a platonic scenario with the chain reacting to the reader who is sick but refuses to rest because they don't want to slow the group down.
Absolutely! That seems easy enough. (watch me take forever to write it)
Masterlist
Content under the cut!
You were sure you were sick.
At first it started with an itchy throat but you didn’t want to think too much on it. But then it started to get warmer for you despite the fact that you were traveling where there was frost still on the ground. And then came the slight trembling in your limbs and the slight pain that came with eating and swallowing your food.
But you tried to hide it.
You had tea.
You put on more layers, trying to sweat it out.
You walked behind the group and tried to keep up with their pace.
And then there was just trying to keep everything down even if you felt like it was tumbling and turning even as you were sitting completely still.
But none of these worked. If anything, it got worse.
You couldn’t let the group know about it though. Everyone else was fine. everyone else was counting on you. You needed to be strong. You needed to be able to keep up. You needed to be able to defend if need be.
And a need there was.
You knew you got looks every now and then. Wild noticed your decreased appetite. Warrior noticed that were isolating yourself from the others. Four noticed your jitters. Time noticed that you had gone pink and then red in the face. Twilight could smell it.
And he had enough after you nearly collapsed on yourself from over exerting your body.
“That’s it.” He growled and picked you up effortlessly. “You’re done. We need to get to a town. You’re sick and need a real bed.”
You growl back and try to push yourself away. “I’m fine! We can’t just stop the group.”
“Yes we can and we are.” Twilight (gently) tosses you on top of Epona. The motion makes you feel sicker than you had before and now the whole group can see that something is worse than you were letting on. Twilight turns to Time and calls out. “What say you, Old Man?”
Time nods and gestures toward the village they were about to pass. “Kakariko Village is just this way. We can be there within the hour and them taken care of.”
Warrior nods, a little disappointed in himself for not calling you out earlier.
It’s Legend who actually looks betrayed though. “Why didn’t you say anything? Are you stupid?”
You turn to him the best you can and the truth is, you’re off by a decent margin. You can’t even see straight. “For your information, in the middle of a potential threat to reality as we know it. We can’t slow down for a stupid cold. I’ll be over it soon.”
“It’s been days!” Twilight shouts. “And you’re worse.”
Warrior holds a hand up before you can speak. “He’s right. We’d rather have you up and functional than falling over and ill.”
“We can’t stop the mission just for me.”
“We are.” Wild takes out a potion from his magic tablet and gently takes your hand, making sure that you have it within your grasp. “Drink this. You’ll feel better until we can stop moving to get you settled until it passes.”
You take it but you’re not happy about it. “This is too much.”
“I’d argue it’s not enough.” Sky mutters. “You can’t just do this. You can’t disregard your health. It’s important.”
“The mission is important.” You stubbornly hold on. You’re so disoriented, you don’t even realize that you’ve been moving this entire time.
“Then what if you got the rest of us sick?” Hyrule interjects with a quiet snarl. “Then what would you do? With multiple of us out of commission how is the mission going to be completed anyway?”
The new angle stops you in your tirade, letting silence fall over the group. He makes a decent point and you hate it. You grunt, trying to keep the very little food you’ve had to eat down in your stomach where it’s supposed to be.
You can’t think how to argue what he says and so you’re forced to acquiesce. You’re very frustrated with yourself for failing to deal with this properly and thus making it everyone else problem. You cough, badly, and all but flop on Epona’s back.
It worries those known to ride horses. You could easily fall off but can’t seem to care any less.
“Just leave me in the village then.” You say. “You can go on without me.”
“You’re definitely sick. Do you hear yourself? You’re delusional.” Warrior scoffs.
You snap your head up and glare at the Captain but he’s leading Epona and on the other side. Another thing you fail to realize in your ill state.
“You’d never leave you behind.” Wind says softly, sadden by the very thought of it. “Why would you say that?”
You gulp, trying to will your emotions away. “It’s better this way.”
“Not happening.” Time grunts. “And that’s final.”
No one questions it, having come to a silent unanimous decision.
You can see that there’s no convincing any of them. Even if you hate to be the reason for the pause in travel, you have to accept a full defeat. You’re stuck with them through thick and thin.
And then your vision goes black at last.

Okay, so I'm writing things from Sky's perspective for the first time in what feels like years (maybe it has been years? the last notable Sky POV I can remember is from Feathered which I finished I year and a half ago) and I have thoughts!
Legend is not the person who resents the goddesses. My boy is literally besties with Din and Nayru, probably Farore too. Who knows about his thoughts on Hylia honestly, but you know who is salty about Hylia? Sky. Sky is so salty about Hylia. The goddesses toyed with him and Zelda like puppets with no cares for how it would destroy them, only that it would turn out how they want. Hylia is the definition of "end justifies the means" in Sky's mind, and he resents her for it.
Sky does not appreciate anyone making any implications that he is dating Hylia, in love with Hylia, or anything of the sort. My man will throw down with anyone who tries to say that Zelda is Hylia. They are two different people, thank you very much! His brothers are not him, and Hylia' incarnations are not her.
Sky finds relief in the Chain because he is not the only hero anymore. On skyloft, he's now an important person, a hero and not just a knight. He did not sign up for this, he's fresh out of school and he is overwhelmed by the expectations and responsibilities that come from being the hero. Being with the chain is a relief because they're all heroes too.
Sky is experiencing burn-out. The sleepiness? Yeah, that's the burn out, Gifted kid burn-out maybe, maybe just exhaustion from the expectations on him, but it's burn out. he's glad no one gets on him for it now. The others laugh at it a bit, but no one thinks he's lazy and it's nice to be allowed to have his rest without consequences now.
Sky is more used to talking to Fi than anyone else, so he's developed certain ticks and cues that he used on Fi to express things (like asking her to stop talking or to redirect her when he wa suncomfortable), but which don't translate as well to talking to Hylians. Most of this is because it involves fidgeting with his sword, not an acceptable method of communication between friends.
To continue the above, Legend, who also talks to Fi, DOES catch some of the ticks because he uses them too. Different, yes, but they're both pretty similar on that front (to the point it's nostalgic for Fi when she talks to Legend because he reminds her of Sky). Does this mean that they understand certain cues the others don't even notice? Yes. They don't even realize they're doing it but it's part of how they've learned to get along already; because they use similar communication styles that no one else does so it adds a whole different level of easier communication between them.
Sky has trouble with communication with Time specifically. he's wary about discussing some topics (their adventures, the goddesses, his sword) but also just struggles to read Time in general.
Sky admires Twilight's connection with Epona and views their dynamic the same way he would a fellow knight and their loftwing.
Sky is a bundle of unresolved and unprocessed issues that he hides under soft smiles and copious amounts of affection.
That's all for now, but yeah. Sky's got more depth than I'd initially thought and my gosh this boy has so many emotions? So many issues too, I don't know if he'll be recognizable compared to the sweet sleepyhead I usually write him as, but I kinda like him being more... mature? Aware? I like him being like a real young adult still finding his feet in the world :)

OOT Zelink is possible after Majora's Mask (theory 2024)
We don't really know what happened after MM so everything is possible until Nintendo denies it so here is my theory:
Everyone thinks that the only place Link could go after his trip through Termina is Lon Lon Ranch, but what if not? After all the last memories he had were about Zelda wishing she could meet Link again, she was THE ONLY PERSON who actually waited for him after his trip. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!
Tumblr media
So after his trip he goes to Zelda and tells her everything that happened to him, she believes him, in fact she might be the only person who believes him because he believed her when she had her visions of Ganondorf.
Link does not necessarily have to have worked on the ranch, there are many other jobs in castle town, I would like to think that he got a job near the castle so he could continue meeting Zelda.
As the years go by their relationship becomes even closer, unfortunately Zelda has to marry someone else so Link decides to continue his life without her. He meets someone else and they get along well, he decides to rebuild his life and marries that woman (Maybe that's why Nintendo never said with whom he had a child, because it was probably with a random woman we don't even know lmao). He has a daughter (I would like to think he has a girl) and thinks she is the most important thing he has now in his life.
Zelda does not love her husband but by the laws of nobility she has to give him an heir. Zelda becomes pregnant and although she does not love her husband, she loves her baby. She thinks it is the most important thing she has in her life now.
Link and Zelda rarely communicate because they already have priorities to maintain (each one with their children).
If you notice this is where the lineage of TP Link and TP Zelda is born!
As fate would have it Link's marriage doesn't work out and he gets divorced or she leaves him with his daughter.
The king passes away.
Do you see where I'm going with all this?
Zelda as queen can do whatever she wants now, so she goes to visit Link after so long. They both talk about their lives and realize they still have romantic feelings for each other. Zelda offers Link to be her personal knight and he unhesitatingly accepts, she gives him a special armor (the armor we see in Twilight Princess).
He becomes her prince consort.
However they have no children or maybe they had one but that son never had descendants Take it as you wish!
We don't know how exactly Link died, but everything points to the fact that he died in a war and lost his eye. Maybe he knew he wouldn't survive and that's why he went to the Lost Forest, dying there and regretting not having taught his techniques, so his spirit stays there until the other chosen one arrives to teach him his techniques.
Zelda is widowed again, that's why we see Link's grave in the castle graveyard in Twilight Princess (like why would his grave be in the castle?)
Years go by and both Link's daughter and Zelda's child grow up. Link's daughter decides to leave the castle and make her life elsewhere, she takes Epona with her, playing the song that HER FATHER taught her (because it is not necessary for Link to have married Malon to learn Epona's song)
Zelda's child takes the throne once she dies.
So with this we have the birth of TP Link and TP Zelda many years later. The reason I don't support the Link and Malon theory is because I find many inconsistencies: TP Link is an orphan, he lives in a tree not in the ranch (he doesn't even own it, the ranch belongs to Fado and he is a human) Link is the only Hylian in Ordon. It's probably that Jaggle or Pergie are descendants of Malon bc their sons are named Malo and Talo (probably she married a human knight or probably Nintendo just put those names bc yes lol)
Also remember Sheik's words? Young love become deep affection Link and Zelda spent time together before Link went on a trip to Termina, I think these words are a reference to them, how much they care about each other ♡
Of course these are my thoughts, you may agree or disagree with me!

The Almost Kiss
*Castle Town*
Link waited for you to finish your shift. He explained everything to Telma, leaving out one little detail, which was that you were a Twili. Telma empathized, as she was no stranger to what it meant to be Link. Once you were back inside, out of Link's sight, Telma whisked you aside.
"I'm going to venture a guess that the boy who is to be wed is Link."
Humiliation forced you to avoid Telma's eyes. The overwhelming need to defend yourself came to the forefront. "Telma, I swear I didn't do anything indecent with Link! We are both just working under Princess Zelda's order. That's all- I"
"Y/N, you just met me, so I'll let this pass. But don't ever think you can lie to me. I can smell a lie like a forest fire. I know you and Link didn't do anything indecent. Even though we have just met, I see your character. And I know Link's." Telma chided, "But don't think for a minute that if I hadn't found you both huddled behind that shop, you wouldn't have kissed! Don't think for a minute that that boy doesn't have feelings for you!"
Telma let out a 'tsking' sound of disappointment. "Poor Ilia. How is she going to deal with this? She's always been in love with Link. But I've never seen him look at her the way he looks at you. Or anyone else, for that matter."
"I meant no harm!"
"Shh, child. I know you didn't. The heart wants what the heart wants. The important thing is that you both do this the right way. You need to tell him how you feel."
What is it with this realm that hides their feelings yet expects you to talk about your own? How am I supposed to talk about what I don't understand?
Telma prattled on. "I can guarantee that if you tell him how you feel about him... you won't be rejected. Do not fear rejection. Especially where I am sure there will be none. A strong woman uses her voice for the greater good. Ilia, on the other hand, that girl has always been way over her head with Link. To be frank, the news of their engagement was shocking. I was happy for her. I just couldn't be happy for Link. Not when Link himself didn't look happy."
How do I tell Link what I'm feeling when I myself don't know what it is I'm feeling?
"I know you're right, Telma." You hoped your agreement would get her to abandon the topic of Link. She put her hands on your shoulders, clapping them supportively. "Why don't you go home then? If you need to stay here, you are more than welcome. We may as well talk about your work schedule. I can't very well expect you to work when Zelda has plans for you. So, take tomorrow off, and when you come in the day after, I'll leave early. Sound fair? I don't want to leave you alone just yet. Going forward, we'll say Monday and Wednesday will be your days off. Weekends, we need all hands-on deck."
"That sounds great. Thank you for giving me this opportunity." A tremendous feeling spilled forth, causing you to jump into Telma's arms. It reminded you of when Midna granted you permission to come to the light. A feeling you've come to know as gratitude. You held on to Telma tightly. "Thank you," you whispered in your sincerest tone. So much has occurred since you've been in the light. It's strange how quickly the current of time flows, along with the situations within it. Now you are employed and have made a friend in the process. You had a clear blueprint for your conversion. You met the much-revered Princess Zelda. Who gave you her benediction, which you so desperately sought.
Last but not least, you met Link. The Hero of Twilight.
Who you almost kissed. At least you think you did.
Within your short time here, you've experienced more than any book would have offered. As Epona strode back to Ordon, the same powerful force of gratitude began to stir within you. You had your arms secured around Link's waist. The sound of Epona's hooves clomping on the cracked dirt lulled you into a semi-conscious state. You dipped your head down, your eyes fluttering shut against Link's back.
"Y/N? You're not going to sleep on me, are you?" Link called behind him as he kept his eyes ahead on Hyrule Field.
"Of course not. Why would you think that?" You lied.
Link gave a hoarse chuckle. "I can feel your eyes closing against my back." You couldn't help it. Between the tranquility of the sunset fizzling out beyond Hyrule and the security of being with Link again, a deep sleep was imminent.
"You've had a rough few days." Link continued, "You're not used to working your body so hard. You should take a nap, so you're refreshed for dinner. Anything in particular you'd like to eat?"
You felt yourself weave in and out of consciousness. You were a tad sick of the simplicity of Hylian cuisine. You craved something hearty. Something that would stick to your ribs. As you would eat in the twilight. Sleep began to claim you, prompting a weak response to Link's question.
"Steamed keese wings." With your dinner requested, you went out like a light.
"Keese wings? Y/N? Did I hear you correctly? Is that something you eat in the Twilight Realm? Y/N?"
Link whispered to Epona, "Girl, I don't know about you, but no way am I eating keese wings. But if Y/N really wants them, I suppose I can hunt them for her."
Epona let out a defeated huff as she continued her steady pace towards home. Epona's dinner request was simple. All she counted on was her usual fare of carrots.
At least someone knew what they would be having for dinner.
*Ordon Village*
Y/N hung over Link's back as he gingerly carried her upstairs. She was out for the count since her dinner request. Link laid her down in his bed, smoothing half the quilt over her body. He had Y/N swaddled like a newborn's first-time home from the medic. He wanted to make sure she was bundled and secure. Protected. The memory of watching her fall as Fado failed to catch her still harassed him.
Once he was certain Y/N was warm and content, he made his way downstairs to make dinner. Link rummaged through his barren cabinets, ashamed of the specks of cobwebs that hung in the corners. Link gave his hair its normal ruffle of distress at the dismal lack of food in his house. Sure, for him as one, it was fine. But now he had another life to care for. One that mattered more than his own.
Maybe, in an odd sense, craving Keese wings means she misses the twilight?
Link pondered to himself about what magic he could work in the kitchen. He had rice and eggs on hand. He would be more than gratified with them fried up in oil with aromatics. Link looked outside; the sun had officially bid adieu, allowing the moon to greet the dawn of night.
It's Keese hunting time. If such a simple request will make Y/N smile, I graciously oblige.
Link grabbed his bow and arrow and headed out to enjoy some nocturnal hunting. He got the rice ready to steam, preparing it for when he would return home. Then he'd simply have to fry his food and steam Y/N's Keese wings.
Despite the moon's guiding light, the only thing truly guiding Link was the image of Y/N's lips excruciatingly close to his own.
*
Y/N groggily padded downstairs, just as Link had set the table. Link sat, watching her rub her dreary eyes with the sleeve of her top.
"Something smells good." She yawned; a trace of her deep slumber still portrayed in her voice.
"You need to eat and get some more rest. Telma really put you to work, didn't she? Just a fair warning, the Arbiter's grounds will also be tiresome." Link began shuffling his egg around his plate, breaking the yoke over the rice.
"Link? Did you... did you make me Keese wings?!"
Once the rice was soaked with the yoke, he took a huge bite. The comforting carbohydrates were just what he needed after spending the day unintentionally running around Castle Town. Link watched Y/N stare at her plate in wonder.
"I don't know if I did a good job. You mentioned steaming them, so I steamed them with some rice. But I'd be happy to make you some of mine if it's not to your liking." Link offered.
Y/N shook her head. "No, it isn't that. I'm just-" Her bottom lip began to quiver. "Link, I don't know what I am." Link was stunned. For someone who wasn't familiar with emotions, she was portraying a lot of them lately.
Before he could say anything, she began to cry into her plate. "I suppose I am no stranger to crying." She gave a pathetic laugh through her tears. "I've been feeling so many things. I don't know what they are. How do I even explain them? But this dish is just so thoughtful. First, you bought me that beautiful dress. Now you went and hunted my favorite food. I really don't know what this feeling is. I suppose I just want to adequately thank you, and I don't know how."
"So, Keese wings are your favorite food? I thought you said carcasses were?" Link joked.
Y/N gave a congested snort across the table from her crying. "Yes, I mean, I knew cucco would be a safe dish here. But generally, in the twilight, we love hearty dishes. But our idea of hearty is different. Besides steamed Keese wings, which are very fibrous, I love stew with Moblin guts."
Link pushed his plate away from him. "Y/N, I'm happy to cook anything for you; just don't ask me to taste it."
This gave her the first sliver of a smile he'd seen since Lake Hylia. "To think you almost kissed a girl who eats Moblin guts."  As soon as the words left her mouth, they both sat up straight at the shock of hearing them out loud. Link felt the same heat he felt behind the shop trickling down his body. He began to gulp down his cup of water, unsure of how to respond.
Arousal that he hadn't felt in a long time had been prodding him. Y/N looked down at her feet. This was her infamous method of avoiding tension in the atmosphere. Or so he had noticed.
He thought back to the kiss that could have been. He felt the passion pushing them both together. He saw Y/N close her eyes. Some part of his brain thought he imagined it. Was she even sure what a kiss was or the emotions behind it? Apparently, she did know. Then the question remained: did she want it?
Did she want him to kiss her?
Link decided to do the opposite of what he told Y/N. He kept insisting she communicate with him, yet here he was running from that communication. He changed the subject. It was safer that way. He couldn't deal with the rejection he would feel if he asked her how she felt toward the idea of him kissing her. He also knew the timing wasn't right. He had to end the engagement with Ilia first, keeping Rusl's words of wisdom in the crux of his heart. Y/N deserved to have the purest first kiss. Not one coated behind secrets. Link also had one other worry. Because of his reputation in their realm, did she simply want to kiss him out of idolization?
If she did, then that wouldn't be enough for him. He wanted her to be familiar with what she felt. He wanted those feelings to match his. He deviated off course, circling back to something she said earlier.
"Y/N, I know you aren't familiar with the sensations of the light. Maybe it can be of some relief if you try your best to describe it. I can help you decipher what you're feeling to the best of my knowledge."
She seemed to consider this. She cautiously opened her mouth, giving Link a quick glance before resuming her gaze to the floor. "Well, I suppose I can try."
She took a Keese wing to her lips, sucking the cartilage clean off the bone. She closed her eyes, transporting Link back to Castle Town and the 'almost' kiss. He was ogling her. He quickly looked away.
"This tastes like the twilight." Her voice was dripping with pleasure. She delicately patted her mouth against a napkin. Link loved the deliberate way she made gestures. He could tell they were foreign to her. Everything was done with extreme caution. This just made her appear dainty to the untrained eye. He knew it was because she was trying to blend into this alien realm with only her acquired book smarts, which he secretly admired her for. Even though Link possessed the Triforce of Courage, he wasn't sure he could be as daring as Y/N.
"Link, there is something I've been meaning to tell you. About Aryn." Link sat up attentively in his seat. The name of that idiot riled him up.
"I didn't want to go on a date with him. I did it because I thought..."
"You thought what?"
"I thought it would make you react. I wanted you to react." Her face was a blank canvas. It seemed it was up to Link to decipher what emotion would be painted on it.
Meanwhile, the poker face he so carefully perfected had finally ruptured. He felt his eyebrows shoot upward. His mouth slowly opened in disbelief. He simply couldn't believe his ears. Yet Y/N sat, eating her food without a single clue on her face. As if she didn't just rock his world with her declaration.
It seemed to Link that Y/N took his poker face advice to heart.
My how the roles had reversed.
A/N: Edited 1/10/23
Time to pick up where you left off and make your way to the Arbiter's Grounds. But not before divulging a tiny-weeny secret to Link. The path ahead looks clear. The emotions involved do not.
Where do you both go from here? And will it involve a certain kiss instead of an almost one?

Continue it with my ideas for flora and wild to have a time adventure after totk.
I think the first era they visit is the era of twilight. Twilight accompanied Wild on his first adventure and Flora had always wanted to met the wolf that traveled with her knight. Even more so after finding out who that wolf was.
They go back to Twilight’s era. It’s been 6 years since LU started so I think Twilight would be 30.
I think he would desperatly miss the chain. Ordon village is nice but he out grew it when he was 18 and saving the world. It’s hard to return home after the villagers attacked you. He gets it he was a big wolf and they had just been attacked by monsters but it’s still hard to know that your home village hates half of you.
He visits Dusk every now and then and does some odd job here and there around the kingdom but for the most part he’s either in Ordon or traveling.
He doesn’t know who he misses most between Midna or his brothers. But he knows he misses Wild the most out of the chain.
Until the little fire gremlin shows up at his door.
It’s a sweet reunion until Twilight realizes Wild being here means they have to go on another quest. Doesn’t his brother deserve to rest after he gave his life for hyrule?
Flora explains that there is no call from the goddess just the two of them going to visit Wild’s family. Which relieves a lot of Twilights anxiety until he asks how they were traveling through time. Neither Wild or Flora will meet his eyes and he already knows. They had been on another quest.
One horrifying story later, and Twilight checking Wild’s arm to make sure it’s still attached, farm boy is finally caught up to speed on everything that happened (or at least the important pieces)
Now they can start their vacation in Twilight’s realm. Flora definitely wants to meet Dusk so they set out for the castle.
I’d like to think that before they left Wild and Flora both picked a horse to go with them. Flora picked her golden horse, but Wild agonized over the decision. Does he being the dark giant horse? The white giant horse? The regular white horse? His blue horse? His spotted horse? His pink horse? All great choices but Wild’s trying to pick the best one to show off not just to Twilight but to Time and most importantly Malon. He wants to make Malon proud.
Anyhow the two arrive with their horses so when it’s time to set out to the castle. They’re ready to go. Twilight is confused on how there’s a metallic gold horse but hey stranger things exist and it’s a good horse. Wild is proudly showing off his horse. But as he’s doing so he mentions how he’s sure his horse and Epona will get along well. Only to look around and not see Epona.
When he asks where Epona is Twilight sighs and tells him that she’s okay, but she older now and can’t keep up the way she used to. Right now she’s relaxing at the spring.
He explains this as they make there way to the spring. When they arrive Epona trots over. Flora reaches out and rests her hand on the old girl’s snout. And now Twilight’s seen a lot of things and he knows Flora now has time magic but he was not expecting to look at his old girl one minute only for her to be in her prime in the next.
Flora was able to use recall on Epona. Meaning Twilight gets a few more years with his beloved horse.
As they set out Twilight has to wonder, what other things can Flora restore?
(What else should they do in Twilights era?
Adventure with Dusk?
Visit the yetis?
Go to the arbiters grounds where a certain mirror once stood?
Or move on to the next timeline as soon as possible

Introduction post
Hello! I am the princess of Hyrule, Zelda, though I suppose that doesn't mean much here. I don't know how I came to this world? One moment I was sitting in Hyrule Field, and the next, I had woken up on Sunyshore Beach, as I've now come to know it as. Regardless, I've been separated from my friend, Link, and someone recommended to me that I should try blogging on Rotomblr, which is a very popular... er... app? - perhaps then, we will find each other. The logic here is rather ridiculous for multiple factors, but I will take whatever I can get to navigate this world.
Update: I'm no longer separated from Link! And I do know quite a lot more about Pokémon at this point, but advice is still much appreciated! And... Urbosa is also here, somehow.
Oh, almost forgot - my pronouns are she/her and I'm 23 years old. That actually... kind of depends if you count all the years time was stopped for me. Definitive... um... over 10,123 years old if you do.
maybe we should've introduced ourselves awhile ago on this post, actually... hey. name's Link. i don't have a gender, by the way. i like food and swordfighting.
My name is Urbosa, Gerudo Chieftain. And before you ask, the Gerudo are a people, from Hyrule. Also, I've somehow gotten myself four children since Falling - don't ask me how.
Here is a list (pending updates) of the Pokémon we currently own:
Me
Celebi (F)
Satori (Ponyta ✨, M [sie/sier])
Naydra (Dratini, F)
Link (he/they)
Madas (Honedge, X [they/them])
Epona (Ponyta, F)
Koshia (Ralts, M)
Fi (Ralts ✨, F)
Urbosa (she/her)
Naboris (Blitzle, she/her)
[OOC info under cut]
blog is run by @static-and-umbreon!
Zelda and Link here are from a couple months post-totk, so there will be totk spoilers (they'll be tagged accordingly with implied, regular, or major. block as needed!), but Urbosa is from pre-Calamity botw! no she hasn't died yet <3
important text color thing: anyone whose text is pink is a side character who will not actually join the blog, but they do have significant dialogue. hence why Fantina and Cynthia both have pink text.
please let me know OOC if any trigger warnings need to be tagged!
pelipper mail/malice is on btw, but please no magic anons! and mod is a minor, so please no nsfw!
anywayyy, this is the link to tag navigation!

My original Link carries all of his items on him as he travels around so he has his helpful pack mule (She’s actually a donkey but pack donkey doesn't roll off the tongue lol) Epona carry some more of their less important/heavy items.

also. i was going to ask this before but i didnt know how to word it: any zelda tropes you like/dislike? stuff like fairies being guides for link or the concept of sages/Legendary Sword or how link and zelda are always depicted or reoccurring characters like impa or beedle or epona. though theres probably not. a lot of tropes considering most games are vastly different from each other. uhh yeah if youve got nothing . things that were done from a zelda game that you liked?
OOH. tbh I had to think about this a bit (my gripes are usually with the fandom and how they depict the tropes as a Strict Narrative Rule) but! I do have some
UH ONES I HATE. this is gonna be long no matter what so it's going under a cut
Number one has got to be making link into a super special boy for basically no reason!!! being from a special type of knights is. so irrelevant to everything else about alttp link that I think a lot of people legitimately forget this. it barely ever comes up and it's honestly not that important to the story except as an excuse for why link's the only one that can grab the pendants and pull the master sword, which. why not just have him be the one to do this because he's just really determined? Ocarina of Time...tried this, sort of? almost completely irrelevant AGAIN. in twilight princess and wind waker they are just some guy basically and this is the best direction they could have gone with his character. except they ruined it in botw and ss and I will neverrrr forgive them for this. botw link beats up grown men at five years old he's like superbaby instant knight and I HATE it. it's just stupid. I don't even care that it applies pressure to him as a character and seems to affect him; they could have just made it an in-universe lie and it would have had the exact same effect so genuinely screw that trope
number two is calling random soldiers knights stop fucking doing this. i dont care that its fictional fantasyland it annoys me
number three! the 3D games' great fairies! I hate almost all of them the oot/mm great fairies are freaks, botw ones are so pretty but they're creepy as hell, and twilight princess is just a naked lady and it's stupid I hate her. wind waker minish cap and alttp fairies are gongeous though
number four. everyone thinking link is cool and or hot. I hate this in universe and in the fandom. I don't care that the devs wanted to make him """"cool"""" he's 100% always a LOSER!!!!
number five I hate the hijacked by ganon trope in zelda games so much. STOP ffs please let ganon/ganondorf take the spotlight we all love him. or let another villain be the main baddie
ok now for ones I like :)
nunberone...SENTIENT MONSTERS SENTIENT MONSTERS BABEY SENTIENT MOSNTERS ILVOE SRENTIERHSDJKFHSFHAAAAA
GRRAAA ITS A SECRET TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOE THE MOBLIN!!! KING BULBLIN SAYING HE FOLLOWS THE STRONGEST SIDE!!! THE ENTIRE DARK WORLD ITS SO
two. npc companions...rips off my shirt to reveal another shirt that says I LOVE MIDNA AND TATL AND EZLO AND KING OF RED LIONS AND GHOSTIE ZELDA AND MEDLI AND MAKAR AND TETRA AND SIDON AND YUNOBO AND
number three...I love random gods and spirits that are just hanging out because. keaton malanya zephos satori light spirits what have you. theyre great I need more of that.
number four incredibly weird npcs. need i say more
number five soldiers being extremely incompetent and dumb or getting possessed. soldiers as enemies or easily corruptible people
number six that one character that doesn't like link. you know what i mean (revali. groose. mido. iirc ralph? maybe? I haven't played much of the oracle games)
number seven hyrule with a dark and bloody past. and not only that but a fairly simple presentation of it that's clearly hiding a more complex underbelly. its just neat to see simple, clear-cut writing tell you so much with so little. it's a big reason I love alttp; it's simple but there's so much grief in it
number eight uh. clawshot/hookshot :] good stuff

The Most Wonderful and Magnificent Fairy Boy Farmer Husband a Girl Could Ever Ask For,
Hope the boys are reading this over your shoulder, they would have so much fun with that greeting. I wrote it specifically for that reason. Are your time shenanigans working out this time? Are you even surviving without me? You better be. Three meals a day, at least seven hours of sleep, a bath once a day, twice if needed, and you better be taking care of that back of yours. If it’s any worse when you come back, I will be very disappointed in you.
Since Sky is most likely the only one not reading this over your shoulder, let him know that the cuckoos miss him. They have not been even half as obedient since you guys left. Wind, we have not had the bags of feed stacked as nicely as you stacked them probably in the history of Hyrule. I miss having you here to help me. Legend, having you sit in the middle of the field and play music was so fun. It was the prettiest music I’ve ever heard. Twi, best harvester award. Four, the best at playing pranks. Warriors, watching you kick my husband’s but while you guys were sparring was perfection. Hyrule, best at getting lost.
I’m joking. Having you around was amazing. You were probably the most helpful out of all of them, helping out around the house.
Wild, dear, I promise I didn’t forget you. I want to tell you you are the best cook I’ve ever met and thank you for the hydromelon you left and the note you left next to it that let me know what it was called. I’m glad I have been remembered through history by a fruit.
Be safe, Warriors, continue beating my husband’s booty, Wind, keep smiling, and this last bit is for my husband’s eyes ONLY.
Link, how DARE you leave the ranch without telling me? Not even saying goodbye, when you get home you’re going to get a real talking to, you hear? Beds empty! No note! Epona gone- could have fallen off- out of my mind with worry- did you care? Never in my life! I had no way of knowing you were gone, none! You could have been dead for all I knew, I don’t care what Hylia wants, I’m more important than some goddess who thinks it’s okay to send people like you on fruitless missions that will just repeat themselves over and over again. I love you, Link.
Malon
Time: ...
Wild: Aw look he's cr-
Time: If any of you say a word I will not hesitate to put you on dish duty for the foreseeable future. Also don't pretend that you are not tearing up as well, Sailor.
Wild: NO I'M NOT!
Hyrule: ... is this what parental love feels like?
Legend: I think so? Also how did she know we would snoop?
Time: It's an instinct. Plus I told here y'all were nosy.
