Sacred Realm updated which means im actually so excited to be making this omg
Hi there Sacred Realm fans! :D
It is I, the one who makes the analysis posts on various comics on the internet. (With permission course) Because I love doing them and they bring me joy.
If you are unaware of what Sacred Realm is, it's a Legend of Zelda AU about a new Link who gets a little medallion that makes him a badass, also it can hold the spirits of heroes from across the realms (Including my fave boy ever okay)
Before I begin, I'll get the important stuff done, This is done with permission from @zelda-the-sacred-realm, and all art from the comics belongs to the comic artist. Please do me a favour and go and check it out because it's a wonderful comic and extremely well-drawn and written.
Now, grab some popcorn, and a drink and please enjoy me rambling about a comic that I enjoy so much. :D
Lets begin!
First, some sass
Damn, possessed Link got a mouth on him. Low key I love him, he looks like he could go for round two like right now. Wouldn't be surprised if he went for the hero of time next.
My eyebrows shot up at this.
Time KNOW's
let me repeat that
TIME KNOWS. HE KNOWS WHATEVER IS IN THE MEDALLION CAUSING THIS.
(More on this later)

I can hear the mocking voice of Link while he is saying this. Time has experience with this particular entity before.
Okay, so here is when it gets interesting.
Possessed Link or this entity I suppose, referring to Time and in turn Hylians as 'Your Race' Tells me a couple of things.
This thing in the medallion isn't a Hylian spirit. So as much and as fun as a dark link theory is, I dont think it could be.
Time arguing that we're not perfect, again referring to Hylians sounds very much like an "I'm speaking with a god speech"
I present my theory on what is in the medallion.
An extra spirit, a god of some description, from the spirit realm. Out to get revenge on Hylians.
Time has been to the spirit realm, in his games. (I am under the assumption that those still occur in this canon please do correct me if I'm wrong here.)
I'm convinced that this thing in the medallion is a deity of some kind because of the eye colour. I can't get over it.
This style of blue, with no pupils.
We've seen it before.
On Hylia.

And here is the first time we see it on Link for comparison, With Sky's alongside him for comparison for what Hylian eyes look like.

The colour isn't exact so it can't be Hylia herself I dont think, but, i believe that there is a spirit trying to escape the sacred realm and is using Link to do it.
Okay, enough of my conspiracy theories moving on!

OH BOY I LOVE THESE PANELS
You know those scenes in video games when you're fighting off something that's trying to possess you and you have that ominous-sounding echo that seems to reverberate through your head. But is also muffled at the same time?
(If I find a game example I'll link it)
This. Put that noise you think off over this.
KICK ITS BUTT LINK GET IT, GET BACK IN HERE.
These five panels tell so much when it comes to how much effort Link has to go through to fight off the medallion possession. I wonder if its going to be easier or harder for him to fight it off as he gains spirits in the medallion.
You can really feel his struggle and I just love it. The visual storytelling is incredible in this comic and I will fan girl about it all day because I just love it so much
I'm thinking he says this to gauge just how bad this possession is. time seems like the guy who would, especially as he already seems to know what this is.
I wonder if he really is the hero of realms?
Yes, Time. Yes, he is.
The face he dosent remember any time he's possessed by the medallion is a little worrying.
Makes me think that could be used later.
Like, Link dosent remember fighting this ice comet now. What if he fights an enemy while possessed, breaks the possession then has to relearn how to defeat it because as possessed link he's not gained any information.
Man Link is a cinnamon roll sometimes and I love him dearly okay.

Febuwhump 2024, Day 12: Sky & Warriors (Wind & Hyrule) - Semi Conscious
Fandom: LOZ/Linked Universe
Summary: When Sky went against a group of monster that shouldn't even exist in any Hyrule, he recieved a nasty gut wound from one of the monster's claws digging into his flesh and muscles. With his mind racing, he finds comfort in one of his brothers arms. With blood loss making his mind less aware, serious and silly things are said.
CW: slight blood and injury
Notes: Wanted to have some humor before devastating everyone with what's coming next.
Sky’s feet dragged across the forest floor as he tried to get back to where he thought camp was at. His right hand left a blood trail along the bark of the trees where he used them to stay upright.
His head was spinning faster than he could keep up with. He was exhausted from the fight he had won against a small group of Shadow Beasts. Not that they should have been there in the first place, but when had anything made sense on this adventure or any of them?
Sweat rolled down his skin as large beads, soaking his shirt's collar, his other layers clinging to his damp skin. Some of the sweat where his left hand was pressing on his stomach felt warm and was sticky.
As he continued to walk he kept hearing a ringing noise that sounded like Fi’s chime when she had news to report to him. He missed her dearly. Her silence was more deafening than ever now and right about now was when he would call on her. Just for simple encouragement that she would give… in her own way.
The taste of something metallic was at the back of his throat, but he swallowed it down. He needed to get back to camp, then he could sit and hope that the pain in his abdomen would go away after he got to relax. Maybe Wild made something good to eat.
Everything started to look the same. Had he already passed that cluster of flowers? Or was it that weird looking rock? His internal compass was pointing him in a different direction every few seconds, causing him to get deeper and deeper in the forest. He truly was lucky to not come across any more monsters.
“Sky?!”
Sky briefly stopped and leaned against the tree his hand was on, listening.
“Sky, where are you?!”
‘Why would someone ask where the sky was? Did it vanish?’
Looking up towards the heavens was a mistake. He became dizzy, disoriented, nauseous and was on the verge of falling backwards. That was until someone grabbed his shoulder. Suddenly on high alert, Sky spun around, drawing his sword against whoever or whatever was at his back. Little black and white floating dots streaked across his vision, but he pressed forward, only to drop the Master Sword due to it burning his hand.
“Sky? Hey, it’s just us.” A young voice filled with concern said.
“Link, can you hear us?” someone else asked. “Damn it. Wind, run back to camp and get Hyrule. Go!”
The pain intensified as Sky tried to catch himself from falling since he no longer had a tree to hold onto. He hollered out in agonizing pain, doubling over and headed face first into the dirt.
“Whoa!” The person that remained held Sky close, gently trying to get him to the ground. “Link, can you look at me?”
When he didn’t respond, he got a few small slaps to his cheek. His face scrunched up in annoyance until he could pry his eyelids apart. What he saw was Warriors looking down over him. “W-wars?”
“Hey buddy. We have been looking for you.”
“How did you find me?” Sky’s speech was just getting slurred.
“You left a pretty good blood trail?” Now Sky was all kinds of confused. “You have a gut wound. Did you not know?”
Sky removed his left hand from his stomach. It was soaked red, warm and sticky. It became overly clear that he in fact had a severe tear to his abdomen where the Shadow Beast’s claw had dug into his skin and muscle. As the memory filtered in, so did the pain.
Searing pain exploded across the torn area, bringing the fear of death. Not for death itself, but the fear of not telling his brothers goodbye, that he loved each one of them, that he was proud of not just the heroes they were, but the men they had become. His mind raced to Sun, his dear Zelda. Who was going to tell her? Was his body even going to make it back to his era? He promised to come back to her, to come back their little gir-
“Sky, I know that look, you’re going to be fine. Wind should already be at camp getting Hyrule.”
“How- how din’t I know?” He went to place his hand back on his injury, only to feel that Warriors had already taken off his scarf and was firmly pressing it into the hole.
To Wars credit, he never showed any other expression than compassion. If he was feeling anxious, worried or any other emotion, he was hiding it. “The mind is a powerful thing. Yours went into fight mode, blocking out everything except the will to survive. Only now, when you feel a bit safer, has it let you deal with it all.”
Sky’s chin quivered, tears finally building up. “It hurts.”
“I know.”
Sky gave a slight laugh as Wars thumb mindlessly stroked his cheek, removing the tears that spilt. “For s’meone w-who claims t’ not be very good with emotions, you… you do good with comforting.”
“Only because you lot have a tendency to get hurt. Guess practice makes perfect.”
“Mmm.” That was the only sound Sky could get out as his eyes drifted close. Maybe a map would help.
“Sk-. S-y! Sky!” Sky jolted awake. “You can’t be going to sleep on me, gotta stay awake.
“N’can’t…”
“Yes you can, just keep talking to me. Tell me more about Sun.”
Sky smiled. “Sh’perfect. So is Jemma… look like Sun.”
“Who is Jemma?” Sky missed the concern in Warriors tone.
“M’daughter. I told you guys… ‘bout her.”
“No, you haven’t.”
Sky blinked his eyes open rapidly. He could have sworn he had told them about her. Looking up at Warriors with extreme double vision brought a new question though. “Wars, you didn't tell me you had a twin brother.”
“That's because I have a twin sister, not a brother.”
“Oh… oh wow. Well, she's very pretty.”
Wars chuckled jokingly. “Me and her look almost exactly the same. Are you calling me pretty too?”
There was a brief silence
“Hey Cap…”
“Hmm?”
“You're pretty”
Warriors head turned when two people came crashing through the brush. “I think you two are late. He’s too far gone.”
“What?!” Both Wind and Hyrule asked, landing next to Sky.
“Yeah, he’s a goner. He called me pretty.”
Hyrule sputtered a bit, but it was Wind who fell over laughing hysterically. Sky just had the cheekiest grin on his too pale face, brain no longer lucid as Hyrule used his magic on him. He was finally allowed to drift, only catching bits and pieces of the conversation.
He could deal with what he said later. Both things…

I’ll do both.
Sky; Sky is embarrassed that he named his Loftwing Applesause as a toddler, but tells everyone his name is Crimson. Zelda knows, and lets him delude himself, his Loftwing gets fussy when he introduced him wrong.
Applesause; “Soul-bonded, why do you not share my real name! Why are you ashamed of me?!?”
The Chain finds out Crimsons real name when Wind uses a Hyoi Pear and it mind melds Wind with Applesauce so he can tell the Hero of Wind his real name. Sky is paranoid Crimson Applesauce just spilled all his embarrassing stuff to his gremlin little bro. That came later. Wind is glad the pears have a fun use.
My blorbos; Wild and Twilight.
Twilight loves hanging around Wild as Wolfie, because Wild gives the best head scratches, as he did it all during his first adventure with Wolfie, and doesn’t make fun of him for the head scratches like the others have. So it’s more relaxing.
Only other person allowed to give head scratches is Wind, and that’s because Twilight can’t bring himself to deny him.
Wild once gave Twilight head scratches as a hylian, and it was the most relaxing thing ever. No witnesses either, so bonus. Twilight secretly hopes Wild does it again.

New chapter new ramble here I am!
Sacred realm has returned with Chapter 4, named The hearald and the gorons, (Considering we start by climbing death mountain this brings me joy.

Okay okay okay Time to do my research. I'll go into it more when we get through the panels with him in.
This is so sweet, Interesting that he knew Twi when he was alive. (Note the lack of fun yellow glow that the other spirits have)
Calling him master. Considering what we know from twilight princess and the hero of time and the hero of twilight this makes a bunch of sense.
Oh he's so pretty
So from my understanding of Twilight's lore, He sees time as a mentor (Hence calling him master.) Twilight seems to be alive here, so i would say that this is either during his actual adventure or just after it, meaning that the area we see around them must be Twilight's time.

But the lines I assume are from the spirit barrier from before. Like he's fighting the barrier to be here? Is this gonna hurt Sky to do this? It looks like he's struggling.
I'm going to assume he can't keep this up forever and this is a last resort move.
And Time knowing Sky?! Hello? Makes me wonder if the spirits have been in contact like this.
But I've got a theory about this
I think Time may have not been the only one to aid Twilight. Hence why he knows Sky.
I dont have much to base this on right now but I'm hoping we will see more about this in the next chapter so I can elaborate on this further.
Also look at Link grabbing Time's scarf like he's a toddler, the little question marks are just so adorable and I love this man okay.
