I really am starting to believe that Dave Filoni just likes to read fanfiction. The plots of some of theses episodes be looking real familiar.

I am confused because did hae in know the extent to which her family humiliated hyun woo and treated him so horribly? And if she did why didn't she step in cause that's horrible I really need them to have a serious conversation about this issue and for Hae in to explain her reasoning here because I don't get it??
Honestly i don’t get it either??? Cause based on her conversation with hyunwoo in the elevator she understands that he put up with a lot (plus what she said to eunsong post divorce) and so I think at the time she either she didn't understand the full extent of the suffering they put him through or she knew he was suffering and thought he was strong enough to handle it -like she was.
Maybe she even believed that her family had accepted him deep down or that her quiet behind-the-scenes protection (yelling at her brother to leave him alone or telling her mother to not bother him) and her love for him was enough to keep him safe (it clearly wasnt).
It's a little unclear and they need to have a deep conversation about the whole thing but i think she just didn't know how miserable he was until much later.

Do you think that the bad kids ever realize that Ruben and Harry (the artificer teacher) have the same last name?
Idk I just feel like last names are not focused on except in specific circumstances (like 4dogs whatsherface) and Ruben and Harry’s full names aren’t often mentioned in a short timeframe of one another and the bad kids have so much stuff going on that I wouldn’t be surprised if no one’s made that connection
I see it going 1 of 3 ways:
- They clocked it from the beginning but didn’t think it would effect anything (a la Antiope and Corsica)
- They realize it at some point in the season
- They never make the connection and Brennan has to reveal it
I do think it would be hilarious for Brennan to finally reveal how they’re related and all the players are flabbergasted and Brennan is just like “I have literally been saying their names all throughout the season and none of you noticed that is not my fault”

The most heartbreaking part about the MohkDay break up, is that once again Mohk is all alone. And this time, he didn't make that choice. He wanted to stay, he wanted Day to be by his side. And he was still left alone
After Rung especially, we know that our boy has severe abandonment issues. And even though we can't be certain her death was preventable by him picking up the call, he blames himself for it. The fact that Day and Mohk have only ever spoken about Rung in surface-level conversations (hell I don't think they really ever spoke about Mohk a lot at all), it hurts sooo much more that Day broke up with him after Mohk laid his heart out in front of the whole family.
I saw a bunch of people talking about how Day refuses to do any emotional labour, and I see where they're coming from. But, i gotta disagree. He did not break up with Mohk because of his trauma. He broke up with Mohk because Mohk was willfully destroying his life to stay with Day. I don't want to say his heart was in the right place, but it was in the right area code at least. I genuinely believe that the "you also pity me" was an excuse because he didn't want to hold Mohk back. I want to believe that he didn't have the time to understand the implications of what Mohk meant when he talked about Rung and he regretted it later.
(I will live in that lie till I'm told otherwise)
But Mohk has never been a fighter for himself. He'll fight in a heartbeat for what Day or Porjai need. He'll put himself in harm's way to protect those he love. But the moment he has to fight for himself, he'll back out. I don't know if this is a post-ep1 flashback thing, but that is what the show has established for us. And so as gut wrenching as his "if that's what you want" is, it's very in character for him.
But just to be clear, now that I've been a rational adult about this analysis of this show and characters. FUCK ALL OF THIS. Like straight up wtf? Who asked for an ep11 conflict huh? Who? P'Aof?? I love you, but WHYYY. My absolute green flag of a man does not deserve this nonsense after everything he's done. So FIX THIS RIGHT NOW.

fuuuuck i loved episode 7. not without its issues (for example, the pacing felt weird to me) but the overall impression is just so so so good. like this is compelling writing that connects A to B, sets B to later reveal C, shows me instead of telling, makes me connect with the characters and understand where they’re coming from and it was very interesting for me as a longtime fan… good writing, you know?

So nobody's gonna talk about ep 8???
"Underestimating people only gives people the high ground."
"Because I thought it was funny that you were stupid." "People are intelligent in different ways." "I-I'm clearly stupid at knowing when other people are smart."
"You hate me because I tortured you to get what I want, but I only used you to kill myself!"
