The Mr. & Mrs. Smith TV Series Almost Surpasses the Original Before Running Into the Same Problems
By: William Hume
Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the nearly 20-year-old movie (wow) is exactly the property that should be remade. A movie that will forever be known for its on-screen chemistry and off-screen relationships. It’s a fun movie that ends poorly but has such a fun premise to get itself there: Married Spies unbeknownst to each other are hired to take each other out. A lot of fun happens along the…
Where 'The Offer' really shines is with its brilliant ensemble cast. Seriously, this is one of the best casts you will see all year. Miles Teller (who is having a banner year) is great as the lead Albert Ruddy. Dan Fogler (who is largely known for comedy films) flexes his acting muscles as Francis Ford Coppola and fits the role surprisingly well. Juno Temple can do no wrong as is a key component of the show as Ruddy’s ultra smart, life saving assistant Bettye McCartt. The always reliable Giovanni Ribisi makes an impression as the mobster Joe Colombo. Last, but certainly not least is Matthew GoodE as Robert Evans. Anyone who knows anything about the producer or has seen “The Kid Stays In The Picture” will be floored by GoodE’s mesmerizing portrayal. If it were up to me, he would win an Emmy for this role.

After today’s stream, I feel the need to say this to Ranboo again. Dude, I’m all for keeping my hopes down, but this is just getting crazy now.
YOU HAVE MADE IT. THIS IS REAL. Stop acting like this is all some sort of fluke when you got yourself here. No one is gonna be "disappointed" that Genloss wasn’t "officially nominated" or won an Emmy or whatever. WHO CARES AT THIS POINT?? This has already gone way beyond all of our expectations. Why be disappointed over just missing the target when it was already a long shot to begin with?
Throw a party. Get fast food. Make this the only thing you talk about for the rest of your life. I DO NOT CARE. But for god’s sake, Ranboo, revel in what you’ve accomplished in such a short amount of time. And at such a small scale generation loss is planned to be, it truly can only go up from here. Do you know how inspiring that is? You and what you create are an inspiration to so many people, including me.
Never ever forget that Genloss wasn’t nominated because of our promotion. It’s because of the hard work and dedication you and your team put into making generational loss a marvel to experience. Cause trust me, if it were garbage, I wouldn’t have written all those essays. NO ONE WOULD HAVE SHOWN UP TO THAT GODDAMN PANEL OF YOURS IF IT REALLY DID SUCK.
There’s nowhere to go from here but up. Generation Loss to the Moon, baby. I expect an "I kind of got nominated for an emmy" cake in one of your next streams. Candles and all. Please and thank you. :)
The person I would like to thank most is the costume designer who decided that TK should always wear short sleeves for his uniform. That is a top tier decision
Both Foy and Colman won Emmys and Staunton deserves to follow suit. She's magnificent. It's doubtful three actresses ever played the same role with such glorious subtlety and feeling. The queen called 1992 her "annus horribilis" given the fire that partly destroyed her beloved Windsor castle and the personal crises that set ablaze the marriages of her three children.
Watch her in the stunning episode five when Staunton, without dialogue or histrionics, shows the queen drop her rigid reserve and allow the hurt to show through. ♚
