DIVEST FROM BANKS FOR PALESTINE
.....Correct me if I'm wrong but allies to Israel would have no money to move around and spend if we and banks have no money to move around for them right?
Even the US treasury needs a way to offer collateral for the billions they give to countries like Israel. Do you know what that collateral has been thus far? Your paycheck. The future paychecks of babies that can't even talk yet. That's how they'll pay all this off.
The government has been giving us the biggest fuck you that they could. Let's return the favor.
"yeah but the banks-"
Have been bailed out every time they've asked for it since I've been alive. They love debt when they aren't the ones paying it. They'll know how heavy the weight of their arms dealing is. There's a reason they have been phasing out paper checks and money- they can't move money they don't have and digital bank accounts can't see the paper money in your drawer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So yes absolutely keep boycotting.
And we should pull all our money out of Major Banks.
It's incredibly accessible for most people who already have a bank account, even if you can't protest or strike. And you don't have to miss any work.
So let's hit em where it hurts.
Banks (from this list of Banks that heavily fw Israel)
Citibank
Bank Julius Baer & Co
Bank Lombard Odier & Co
Banque Pictet & Cia SA
BNP Paribas Israel
CBH Compagnie Bancaire Helvetique S.A.
Dreyfus Sons & Co.
Hyposwiss Private Bank Geneve SA
JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A.
Silicon Valley Bank
Union Bancaire Privee
HSBC
Barclays
BNP Paribas Israel
State Bank of India
Other banks that have supported the genocide
Goldman Sachs
Bank of America
Wells Fargo
Blackrock
AXA
Capital One
RBS
Marks & Spencer
Tesco
Scotia Bank
Bank of Montreal
No, you don't have to cancel your direct deposits (most places in the USA won't even pay you without an account anyway). But you should drain your account ASAP. Don't let the money sit in your bank. Pull it out and use cash for everything you can. Don't put money in the bank unless you need to.
The point is just to keep as much money as you can out of banks for as long as you can.
Yeah it's gonna be harder to order online which may be inconvenient until we readjust but thats good.
It'll be a natural way for the boycotts to evolve.
A lot of fighting in the Red Sea is being done because of how much money the USA, UK, etc have to lose if they can't get their products on time. The Houthis turning ships away cost these countries millions every time. If there are less ships to turn away cuz people aren't ordering stuff from overseas then Good.
Yeah we could have an organized day to do this but...why??? It's accessible, it's free, and the people across the globe experiencing a genocide right now, from north America to Africa to Palestine don't have the luxury of waiting a few months for us to spread the word and organize.
If you see this share it. Copy/paste, repost, retweet, idc. Spread like wildfire pls

‘Not in my Name’: how a new generation is divesting from Israeli apartheid
“Not in our name” has long been a rallying cry for Jews who protest Israel, but it is now being adopted by a new group as well – those with wealth who are joining the movement to boycott and divest from Israeli apartheid.

The same group of feminists who created their slogan "Our branch of feminism is the most popular in the global south 👆" to prove their point to sexist shitlibs/libfems...
...are nowhere to be found when misogynoir goes viral.
T-yl-r S-if-, M-r--t R-bb-e, S-dn-y Sw--ny. I have seen so many women of all colors clap back at sexist hate content against them (this is good)
But it's 🤐 from them when Zendaya, Twigs, Halle, Kayla, Ayo, and Francesca are senselessly attacked by moids of all colors.
But of course "Misogyny is only acceptable when it's done to white women" 🤣 👍

News. Didn’t sleep much last night so I’ll have to do captions and more detailed stuff later, my sincere apologies.
Here’s a sumup for Feb 22, 2024:
Norway has divested $500 million from Israel bonds. A huge win for BDS movements. More info and the original tweet thread can be found here.
Hundreds of protestors begin again in the Bay Area, directly to Biden’s fund raiser in SF. All of the standalone images are from this event, as reported by Kqed, found via Instagram here. Descriptions for images are attached to each. Entire post contents are as follows: “kqednews Protesters demanding a cease-fire in Gaza gathered Wednesday night near a fundraiser in San Francisco for President Joe Biden's 2024 campaign. Hundreds of activists filled Alta Plaza Park as part of the demonstration organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Protestors chanted "free, free Palestine" and "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" and urged the president to end U.S. aid to Israel. "How dare he visit San Francisco only to rake in cash, ignoring residents of a city which passed a ceasefire resolution with a supermajority?", said Suzanne Ali, a Palestinian Youth Movement member, in a written statement. "While Biden charges donors $100,000 for a ticket to his cocktail party, bombs labeled 'Made in the USA' are raining down on civilians in Gaza for the fourth consecutive month, killing over 13,000 Palestinian children and counting." "We are demanding that there is a permanent ceasefire now," said Party for Socialism and Liberation member Ramsey Robinson, who spoke at the protest. "That's our money, stolen from the people, stolen from the taxpayers, and we want to let Joe Biden know that we know that." President Biden is reportedly making multiple campaign stops in San Francisco and Los Altos Hills between Wednesday and Thursday. But Robinson thinks that other than "the tiny number of the super rich," Biden isn't popular in the Bay Area. Read for more details at kqed.org/news”
Girl Scouts have received funding from Raytheon Tech and has made “stay neutral” merch. We hates a neutral ass bitch, sorry Girl Scouts, not sorry. Full story, from @prem_thakker : “Wow—Girl scouts wanted to make bracelets to help aid Palestinian kids. @girlscouts leadership threatened them, saying they must "stay neutral." After it was pointed out there've been similar efforts for Ukraine, they pivoted, saying the troop didn't follow "approval processes:” Prem then displays another image which says: “The last sentence hit her hard: "Unfortunately, if this direct violation of the organization's governing documents and policies continues, Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri and Girl Scouts of the United States have no other choice than to engage our legal counsel to help remedy this situation and to protect the intellectual property and other rights of the organization." "I got a little scared; I'm not gonna lie," she said. "I wondered, what are they going to do to me?* For years, she had strived to give these girls the opportunities she had missed out on herself. The troop had formed a sisterhood, growing up together since kindergarten. Abuhamdeh reached out to the other parents. They decided the organization's values didn't align with what they were trying to teach their daughters.” I’m unclear where this image/quote was taken from, presumably from the original reporting of STLtoday.com
There’s additional tweets from Prem, which talk more about Girlscouts & weapons contractors here. The images at source are screencaps (from the girlscout website) which I’ll share here:

The last two images are the most important; the first depicts an image of a Palestinian boy holding a blanket he has apparently salvaged from rubble. The tweet from @Times of Gaza reports at 2:50 am of Feb 22, “Day 139 | During the past 24 hours: 9 massacres committed by the Israeli occupation • 97 people killed • 132 injured.” At 10:52 am @Times of Gaza reports: “UPDATE | 23 people killed in the Deir Al-Balah airstrikes. The death toll is expected to rise.”
This continued loss of life is irreplaceable and my heart mourns for them. FREE PALESTINE please God.
Eta: I added text to all images for my comrades who need it. I also added a couple new images for Girl Scouts info (I had to remove a redundant img of the Kqed insta, in order to include this info). Please LMK in the notes if it’s more helpful/ easier for yall for img notes or directly in my post. My brain is fried, I’m sorry this is such a haphazard post.
Biden and Raytheon info will have to wait til tomorrow. I also hope to get some info/ articles up about Israel and diamond trade - responsible for a huge portion of Israel’s GDP and stolen exploited resources from the Congo.

Would you agree that divestment was the 4B for Black women ? However, black women did not want to listen during the 2010s to the information that was given to them during the time
Kind of yes and no. Black women and especially younger Black women are very behind and always in a game of catch up for a variety of reasons.
So when other races of women are at the point where they’re talking about all males, Black women (are very segregated and don’t pay attention to other communities) are stuck on Black only and just now starting to see why they shouldn’t have been race loyal. That was something Black males realized since forever it’s everyone for themselves and it’s 160 years later after slavery, Black women just now looking around and realizing the situation they’re in. Everyone knows how unaware and brainwashed Black women are right now and takes advantage by getting them wrapped up in repetitive arguments about things that really don’t matter. So I like 4B because it SHOULD cut out the arguments and it’s straight to the point. I do think Black women need to stop using the name 4B, not post about it, and just participate from the sidelines quietly. 4B is a good message and lifestyle for Black women to live. It’s very direct and to the point. Korean women did it very well by moving in silence, and unfortunately western media got ahold of it and taking advantage of Black women never wanting to be quiet and strategic.
I think Black women generally have to have things explained very directly and clearly and it’s possible divestment’s message of “put yourself first” is too broad for Black women to know what to do. They basically need step by step directions and divestment just left a lot of room open for anything to come in unfortunately. I tag divestment and I am divested but I don’t feel strongly about using the word since it’s been intentionally co-opted.
Yes it’s a mix of Black women being hardheaded and not listening in 2010s and Black women being ignorant about the position they’re in and the intentions of others. Black women have a lot of power they don’t know about and have allowed literally EVERYONE to eat off them and wield that power for themselves and against us.
Like I said in that last rant of mine 😂 I really think Black women are lying about why they are clinging so hard onto that 4B name. They’ve been going at other races of women with their pro-blackness and really I would say out of jealousy because BM put them on a pedestal. Now that they’re being publicly attacked by the males they caped for, they’re hoping other races of women will also be in the same position so they have “women” to fall back on. It’s not gonna work because those women are already 3 steps ahead of Black women and setting them up for serious backlash. That’s why Black women need to be quiet and do their own thing and practice it from behind the scenes. There’s more going on than just dating issues for staying in those spaces and constantly talking about the same issues over and over is keeping Black women distracted from important topics like our history being erased, our resources being attacked, how they try to brainwash us, etc.

Chrisette Michele vs Kanye West: Why don’t black women get the same grace?
Kanye West has been spewing garbage for years and only now is he facing the consequences. In fact, he still has a cult following that’s convinced he can do no wrong.
Chrisette Michele performed for Donald Trump ONCE & was completely cancelled. Unlike Kanye, she didn’t actively campaign for him & neither was she anti-black or anti-Semitic. Her life has spiralled out of control since that moment in 2016.
Why aren’t black women afforded the same grace as black men?

EMORY IS EVERYWHERE
As the Palestine Solidarity movement rips across college campuses, college administrators and government bureaucrats are rushing to denounce anyone taking action as an "outside agitator". Those who grease the gears of the war machine think that this rhetoric will erode public support for bold actions at Emory. They are wrong.
45 years after the Camp David Accords - an infamously botched, imperialist plan for peace between Israel and Egypt with no input from Palestinians - was orchestrated by an Emory faculty alum President Carter, we observe that there is nowhere on Earth "outside" of Emory University. We want to say as clearly as possible - we welcome "outside agitators to our struggle against the ruthless genocide of Palestinians.
Emory University has the highest tuition, the lowest acceptance rate, and by far the highest endowment of any institution in Georgia. Economic barriers, infamously racist standardized testing, and nepotism have barred many from studying at Emory. To students in Atlanta and beyond - we invite you to struggle with us.
Local high school students dream of attending Emory, and many teachers encourage them to study hard and take up extracurriculars to increase their chance acceptance, knowing their chance of admission is slim. To local high school students and teachers, we invite you to struggle with us.
Just down the street from Emory Hospital Midtown is the site of the former Peachtree-Pine homeless shelter. In a bid to gentrify the city and evict its houseless population, the City closed the shelter and did not replace it, displacing hundreds and cutting off a last line of support for thousands of poor people in the city.
Emory University purchased this building, just one example of Emory's contribution to gentrification in Atlanta. To those without homes, or those displaced by gentrification, we invite you to struggle with us.
Emory's $11 billion endowment, the 11th highest in the country, is an outsized influence in Atlanta's economy. While economic inequality widens in the city, Emory remains a bastion of the rich. To the restaurant workers, house cleaners, gig workers, and all proletarians - we invite you to struggle with us.
In 2020, Emory University layed off or furloughed over 1500 employees. To those who are no longer affiliated with the university - we invite you to struggle with us.
4 out of 5 students at Emory are not from Georgia. While the Freedom Riders were heading down to Georgia in the 1960's to fight for Black people's right to vote, segregationist governors cast them as "outside agitators". To those from outside Atlanta and Georgia, we invite you to struggle with us.
1 in 5 students at Emory are from outside of the United States. The Palestinian students murdered by American weapons under Biden will never be one of those students. To those from outside of the country, we invite you to struggle with us.
In April 2023, Emory admin called the police to break up a protest led by students against Cop City on the quad. None of the pigs were Emory students. To all of those who struggle against police brutality, we invite you to struggle with us.
EMORY IS EVERYWHERE. THE PLACE FOR DIVISION IS NOWHERE. WE INVITE YOU TO STRUGGLE WITH US.

I’m here to tell the truth
People fail to realize that I’m not here to coddle your feelings. I’m here to tell the truth to protect black women and girls. Telling the truth might heal you it might make you realize what’s truly going on. I give grace but I’m here to tell the truth the truth is painful and real because what if we are living it is real.
Black women we have a target on our back. Black women we don’t have time for negative imagery. We need to be spotless a time like this. This hate that black woman is getting online is going to get extremely worse and black women are not ready for it and when you tell the truth about images and stereotypes that are being perpetuated, they don’t want to listen. U guys going to see it for yourself ………….
