SO, today I got a message from a friend on discord saying the following;
immediately sus, no? well, I got panicky and then played into it because scammers deserve to be fucked with. so, they ask me to add this person and I do.
and then this.
long story short, be careful. check in with your friends. make sure your account is safe, don't give out your personal info and most definitely DON'T change your email to the one they asked you to changed it to.

Before I share everything that I'm legally able to how I found out my friend's discord was hacked, messages that were innocent would be edited after I had seen them to things she'd never say. They would be deleted later. This is the first I caught of them and the least vulgar. I can't legally show any others but the content would have been flagged inappropriate if I could share it.
This is the before edits. I'm not going to show her name. She's been dragged enough.
This is the after edits. I got the screenshots, took a moment to gather myself and came back to reply. The message had already been deleted.
Our conversation prior to that was our Halloween plans and her waiting for her costume to be delivered by Amazon. Asking an insane question like that was very out of character.

hi! what are your thoughts on the etsy pre-modded 3ds market? do they pose any security risks?
I wouldn't say they pose any security risks, but it's basically one step removed from the people who sell spoof amiibo cards. The only difference is that spoof amiibo cards are a bit more difficult to make and people also generally add custom art and printing techniques to make it worthwhile. (It requires specialized tools that not everyone will have access to) On top of that, they are cheaper than actual amiibos (for obvious reasons)
A 3DS however is really easy to mod, doesn't require any special tools (other than a computer with an SD card slot, something that you can access at most public libraries- and depending on the model, a screwdriver) and an etsy modded 3DS will be more expensive than just buying a regular one off of ebay.
On top of that, you don't know what version of hacks they use or have the backup files incase something goes wrong- so if you brick it by accident then it's going to be 20x harder to bring it back.
Never buy a modded 3ds for more than $200. A good price range for a 3DS is $150~$70. Modded 3ds's should be on the lower end.
TL;DR- it's a scam more than anything and it's better to hack it yourself so that you know exactly what you are messing with. if you are buying a pre-modded 3DS they should go for less than a non-modded one.

Jetzt wo der neue Spatort gelaufen ist und sich vielleicht wieder neue Leute dem Fandom angeschlossen haben, hier ein kleiner hoffentlich hilfreicher Tipp.
Da AO3 nur Tatort allgemein als Fandom hat braucht es einen kleinen Workaround, wenn ihr (fast?) alle Spatort Fics sehen können wollt (unabhängig von Relationships etc.)

I opened Pinterest for the first time in months.
That made me realize a lot about how bad I was actually doing and how much of a Waffle House Index use of Pinterest is for adult me, apparently.
I hadn’t realized it had grown that foundational to me in a healthy-brain-exercise-and-hobby-joy way. Nice to know moving forward! It’s another sign I can keep track of and use to spot correlation/indicator patterns earlier my behavior.
I love this kind of thing, it makes me so excited!

Sooo...this little oneshot here was heavily inspired by @hacked-by-jake as well as @itsnotzka and her adorable Jake-AI (with whom I had a very funny conversation 🤭). It’s just a short little thingie - I hope you have as much fun reading it as I had while writing! 💙

'Jaaakeeeee...we have to go! Where are you?'
She impatiently waited in the hallway, looking at the clock on the wall with furrowed eyebrows, when she finally heard his hasty footsteps as he came out of his study.
'I'm here, I'm here, we can go...I just had to wait for that last test run to finish, and I deployed something and couldn’t leave it alone, and...what?' With raised eyebrows she looked at him, arms crossed and an annoyed expression on her face.
'W-what is it? Why...What’s wrong?' confused, he looked at her and couldn’t make out what the problem was. He glanced nervously at the clock. 'We're not late yet, are we? If we leave now, we'll still be on time, we just have to hurry a bit. Heh. Uhm. Love? Can we...go?'
'I don’t know, Jake, can we?' She waited, wondering when he would notice. They were late now anyway, so why bother and give him a hint - a few minutes more wouldn't make any difference now.
Worried, Jake looked at her and her annoyed expression for a moment, then he cautiously looked down at himself when it finally hit him...'Oh fuck! Crap! Of course! I'm sorry! I-I'll be back in a minute, alright? It won't even take me a minute! Ok? Just a second, I'll be back in a second! Sorry, I-uhm...alright! Love youuu!' and *poof* he was gone again.
She sighed, dropped her bag on the floor and leaned on the wall to wait for Jake, not able to suppress a little smile. Adorable dork!
She heard him rummage through their closet and bump into furniture, like always when they were late (because of him!). But she had to admit that she kinda liked that, it was fun to watch and witness the else so concentrated and serious man being clumsy and hasty and in such trouble. She heard another bump and it sounded as if Jake stumbled over the clothes that probably were scattered all over the floor, followed by an annoyed groan. She quietly giggled and shook her head.
When they finally arrived, the group was already waiting.
'You are late. AGAIN!' Lilly huffed annoyed, while Hannah softly asked in a whisper 'His pants again?', causing Jake to scrunch his face and blush furiously. Fortunately for him, no one else listened to that little conversation or heard MC's exhausted whining 'Yeah...again...it's always the same. Every single time...', accompanied by a deep and dramatic sigh.
While Lilly patted MC's shoulder encouragingly and clumsily tried to comfort her by assuring her that Jake will learn it one day (hopefully!), her beloved finally dared to say something - or more precisely, mumble something: 'At least I had my boxers on...' At this, she turned around and looked at him with a mischievous smile that meant danger. Oh no...Oh fuck, please, no... 'Yeah...THIS time.' dammit! ...well, attack is the best defense, right?
His embarrassed face turned into a sassy one. 'Why so annoyed, my precious? You weren't that annoyed last time...'
And then he winked. That bastard winked at her with a suggestive smirk!
'But we never showed up to that family gathering! You don’t want to know what I had to come up with to excuse our absence...!' Jake was about to say something when they suddenly were interrupted by gagging noises. Oh, right, Lilly and Hannah were still there...
'Eww, you two! That’s waayyyyyy too much information! Seriously, don’t...just - please, never talk about this again, ok?!' Lilly stuck her fingers in her ears and fled to the rest of the group.
'Well, that was fun...let's do that again, please!' Hannah said cheerfully and followed her little sister with a big grin and a nasty giggle. The next meetings with the group or Jake's family would be a lot of fun - for Hannah, at least. Jake and MC on the other hand were already thinking about possible exit strategies.
'What about...uhm...urgent emergencies? How many are realistic before they notice that these are just an excuse? Or we could...uhm...we could have a transportation problem? You know, no car and public transportation is out of service or something like that?'
To their misery, Hannah heard that. 'If you forget your pants and boxers again, you can come with your helicopter - chop, chop!'

So Your Discord Got Hacked
A few days ago, my discord got hacked because I fell for the good old fashioned "friends working on a game" scam.
FIRST UP if any of your friends want you to try their new game, ask them identifying questions. I fell for this and feel like an absolute MORON.
BUT say you did fall for it, your discord went down and logged you off. HERE ARE THE STEPS TO TAKE.
DO NOT Log in on your computer. The virus the scammers use has a keylogger in case you have 2FA already. They need you to input your code to change the password on you. ALSO reroll any of your 2FA generated codes from the secondary device. The hacker will copy these in case you set up 2FA.
If you don't have 2FA and the hacker turns it on, IMMEDIATELY go here and submit a ticket. I will show an example ticket below, with the language I used.
Go to paypal, and if you see any charges, click on the discord charges and disable automatic payments. If you don't already have 2FA on paypal, turn that on, and once again, DO NOT use the device that got hacked.
Keep your email open. As soon as you get a response from support, you need to reply to that email.
UNINSTALL discord from the hacked device, along with anything you may have downloaded in the past 24 hours (like the unzipping program. And delete the hacker's program). Also delete the discord.exe file from your downloads on the computer.
RUN A VIRUS SCAN WITH DISCORD UNINSTALLED. Just in case they set the worm to jump out then worm back in. I used Malwarebytes - windows defender cannot catch what they are doing.
Restart your computer.
Run a second virus scan.
Download discord again directly from discord. Install from the new EXE file. Run a third virus scan just to be safe.
IF IT WORKED, the QR code login will load properly. The worm the hackers use blocks the QR code - this is so you type your password/the 2FA code. They also block your computer from seeing what other devices are accessing your account - because you'd be aware they're logging in.
WHEN YOU GET YOUR ACCOUNT BACK - change the password via a secondary device. My computer discord was hacked, so I changed the password via mobile. I also rerolled all the backup codes just in case. Discord staff turns off 2FA when they get you back into your account because it's very common for hackers to turn it on to keep you from getting in.
Log in via the QR code scan (if it was your computer). This is just a secondary precaution, I don't want my computer to know the password at all.
CONTACTING DISCORD SUPPORT:
Note: you want the first email or an email prior to the last 24 hours just in case the hacker changes your email address. When staff is looking at your ticket, they use this as a confirmation, if it was changed today, that could be the hacker trying to use support to hack you back.
(Here there's a popup of recommended articles, I'm skipping that.)
I don't know if I said any magic words but discord got me back into my account VERY quickly.
I got rehacked before I went through the steps of uninstalling and virus scans, but I quickly got the hacker out by doing mobile only on all the resets.
You can also tell if the hacker is there because your discord will keep logging you out randomly! This is (from what I figure) the hacker logging out your hacked device to get your 2FA codes, but they have to be fast, so if they miss it they log you out again.
