SaL anon here bestie and still feeling bitchy if you feel like indulging. So I've had a couple of issues this week and the first i'll get to came as a bit of a combination of reading @canonicallyobserving911 latest post and seeing the LS promo with Owen and Andrea (incidentally we've had like 3 trailers and a whole ass preview scene from LS this week alone, WTF is OG's promo dept doing??). I thought the parents-taking-over-the-wedding clip was funny, but made me think when was the last time we

had fun stories/episodes in 911 OG?? And I don't mean one liners or ridiculous emergencies or people making a joke out of one characters actions that actually carry pretty serious implications (glares at jokes getting made about BOTH Buck's cheating and sperm donor arc). I mean episodes that were fun because we know the characters, we know that of course this is how they'd react, and it's ridiculous but real because we all have a side of us that's ridiculous at times. Where did all the fun episodes go?? I tried to think of the last example and I guess you could count the Eddie and Chim with the cursed bracelet thing (which was almost immediately undermined by the fact Chim knowingly bought a murder house 🙄). But I can't think of the last time the show was really and truly being fun.

Second on my things-I'm-pissed-about list is the return of Ravi. Not because I'm upset Ravi is back, I'm thrilled actually, but seriously KR?? After completely sidelining his character in 5b in favor of trying to make L a thing, after literally cutting him out of the HenRen vow renewal photo, after not even mentioning once during 6a where he was but making sure we had a whole damn scene devoted to explain L's absence, suddenly we're supposed to be excited you’re promoting him in the BTS?? I just can't be grateful that it took 1.5 seasons of negative feedback for KR to give people something they want. I hope they have no budget for effects that episode because it all went to pay Anirudh to bother with this show again after his character got so disrespected. Anyway that's my bitchy thoughts for these last few days, enjoy!!

Hello my friend! You have definitely caught me in a salty mood because my family is occasionally infuriating 🙃 I am SO with you and everyone about how LS has gotten all kinds of promos, and official stills from set released by Tim, meanwhile, OG is continuing to languish with barely anything and who knows if what we DO get from the official releases is actually something we’ll get to see.

I also agree with the lack of truly fun episodes. Cursed was trying to be Jinx but where Jinx was all about the firefam and their dynamics, and a fun montage of them doing their jobs, Cursed wasted all it’s time showing us every aspect of some random starlet’s life with barely any firefam (and while Eddie talking to Bobby and Athena was great a) that story didn’t line up with literally anything we’ve ever seen or been told about Isobel and b) it didn’t have Eddie’s continual investigative partner Buck involved). Plus, it didn’t even have a good resolution like Jinx did which gave us a brilliant scene with Eddie talking someone down and into doing the right thing. Cursed spent the whole episode setting up a “the assistant colluded with that guy to cause accidents to her boss to make her believe she was cursed” and then just...didn’t do that and instead had the assistant just skimming money and the guy having some randomly flimsy reason to come after her. But like, who cares? In Jinx we care about the guy (Brian, right?) insofar as he is directly putting the firefam and people in danger by doing things wrong while trying to “help”, eventually making a good-faith call about something that wasn’t actually what he thought it was, and then ultimately stealing the truck from the firefam when they needed to get to a fire where their help was needed. We don’t care about Brian as much as we care about how his actions affect the 118 and their ability to do their jobs. Cursed has nothing to do with the firefam except that they keep getting the calls. We get a little bit from Eddie but it’s never focused on enough to be called the central story. The central story in Jinx is the firefam. The central story in Cursed, even up to the end which SHOULD have been focused on Eddie and Chris (and fucking BUCK because the tsunami came up), is Felisa who the audience doesn’t know or care about. Yes the episode had some laughs, but just like everything in s6, is lacking heart, depth, and focus on characters we actually know and love.

Same with What’s Your Fantasy which was SO wildly all over the place in tone from cute sisters talking female empowerment-turned emergency situation, to murder fantasies, to sex fantasies overlaying a conversation about a child’s crush, to a huge, misogynistic, terrorist plan running throughout the episode. Again, a few cute surface level scenes, but mostly just filler with no consistent tone or through-line for any of the characters. Even back in season 5, FOMO had some funny moments, but again didn’t devote enough focus to main characters and instead spent too much time on some random emergency character having a whole arc, and the episode had a whole tragic ending. Honestly I can’t think if a single other “fun” episode in the whole of season 5, which people can say was the “point” but given that almost nothing got any (on screen) resolution (or any that wasn’t immediately undercut/forgotten) it doesn’t feel like there was a point. Previous seasons did so much better balancing tone throughout episodes, and being able to cut the heaver episodes by moving towards lighter arcs, and then back again. An ebb and flow across the whole season vs a whole oppressive season followed by episodes packed with wildly different stories that tonally do not fit together and leaves the viewers with whiplash. I’m still sooooo frustrated with how the sperm donor (and the cheating) storyline has been turned into a big joke. Especially because we KNOW the potential that was there for a meaty, and emotional storyline and Oliver has consistently delivered GOLD on that kind of stuff. And instead we got masturbation jokes, and jokes about being accosted at work and literally every other mishandled aspect of the arc. 😤😤😤😤

As for your second thing, I’m right there with you in regards to Ravi. Like, they couldn’t be bothered to let Bobby or Buck or literally anyone drop a single line about how their probie had grown and was lent out to the academy for a few months?! Especially after the audience was begging for more of him and irritated that he got sidelined and lost out on screentime and storylines so KR could force L into every little thing. The show KNEW going in to s6 how the fans and the general audience felt about L, and about Ravi, and it definitely feels vindictive and petty on KR’s part to allow no mention of him, even after every single episode had the audience asking where he was, BEGGING for any line about what happened to him, and saying how weird it was that he disappeared without anyone saying anything. For the only mention of him to come not even in the show itself but in an interview after the whole first half of the season was over is such a slap in the face. I hope Anirudh got every single thing he wanted out of coming back (I also hope someone had to grovel at least a little bit) and I hope that the very loud chorus of “FINALLY” from the audience when he’s back will stick in KR’s craw because of how universally beloved he is compared to every other random recurring and one-off episode character she’s tried to force into focus so she didn’t have to actually deal with the main characters of the show. My only worry is that she’ll try to do something to his character out of spite because I absolutely wouldn’t put it past her. For now I’m going to hold on to the joy at Ravi/Anirudh coming back, and excitement at seeing what he’s up to.

Thanks for giving me somewhere to focus my other frustrations today! And in a few days we’ll have some Yehaw wee-woos to flail about. And since we still have some time before our OG team comes back, I’m always here to dig into the salt mine!

… Okay, I swear to the gods, if I have to sit through more Izu-based manpain or whatever…

It’s not Fumiya at all, but I have to admit I heard the drama-saturated ‘Izu…’ in the trailer and just… 🙄

To be fair… I don’t think we got it that much in the actual show, but I think the last arc just… Sapped any sympathy I might’ve had. And let’s be real, the fact that the trailer is taunting me w/ what looks like Horobi and Fuwa w/in ten feet of each other means I will sit through it, I just…

I’ve driven this into the ground, so I see no point in going into detail here, but I just do not see the difference between this allegedly ‘new’ Izu and the ‘old’ one. None of her memories changed her, she was just ‘everything as master Aruto wishes’ right to the end. Trying to make ‘drama’ out of her being ‘different’ is immediately gonna have me rolling my eyes. Nothing was lost, get over yourself, show. Aruto didn’t suffer anymore consequences than Gai did. (actually no, no: I’m going to call myself on that. He did see someone he cared about, albeit in a kind problematic way, ‘die’ and blow up, that’s more consequences for just bad decision making than Gai got for active malice)

And I’m… I’m gonna say it.

I’m tired of Aruto and Izu.

Additionally, I just, personally, do not see the appeal. They were literally… One of the most boring relationships in the show to me. And they were like… Always together in show. Like, I know that he’s the mc and she’s the ‘main girl,’ but… Would it have killed the writers to let them fully develop bonds w/ other characters? Izu it esp bothers me bc it just fed into the ‘only exists to serve Aruto’ thing. I wanted to see her interact w/ Fuwa and Yua, get proper development via Jin and Horobi, kinda curious about her and Naki, just a bit. (it’s showing that I had more interest in Izu than Aruto, isn’t it…)

But no, she essentially only appeared hovering at Aruto’s elbow, ready to serve him, and it… Irritated me. They didn’t feel like a real relationship? Bc Aruto was just all ‘Izu’s so perfect, she’s such an angel just like a HumaGear should be!’ and Izu was all just ‘my life revolves around Aruto-shachou!’

Like, there were some sneezes towards more rounded relationships for them in the start, but at the end… They literally had no relationships w/ anyone but the… Kinda ‘huh’ one w/ each other. And that’s, like, a) not healthy, for either of them, esp for Izu, but for either of them, and b)… Really… Boring. For lack of a better word. I found both characters much more engaging (setting aside other stuff) when… They were interacting w/ other people. I want to see them (esp Izu) be allowed to have relationships w/ other people that they actually, like, are invested in.

Fuwa and Horobi are getting shot at by a jet. Jin’s getting the damn jet dropped on him while saving Fuwa (I might’ve said he deserved it in another conversation but I didn’t mean it like that). Naki’s having a wonderfully photogenic day while sitting in the rubble looking rather sad. Ikazuch might only have one scene in the whole movie. Yua’s fighting an army on her own. There’s plenty of other people in danger and getting hurt. I don’t think we need more of Aruto whining and moaning and raging and going nutty again bc something something Izu.

And even putting aside my issues w/ the way their relationship was presented, the fact that I can’t sympathise w/ melodrama about Izu ‘dying’ bc she’s exactly the same, nothing was lost… The ‘designated damsel’ is a really tired trope, imo. Again, the manpain. Why is Izu’s only function to stand around gazing lovingly at Aruto and then to ‘get hurt’ and make him ‘rage,’ as an anon I am still working on summarised it, pretty much. Like… I know people were throwing the ‘sexy leg lamp’ at Yua (which I disagree w/, I think she fared slightly better than that), but that same ask I’ve yet to post pointed out that, ultimately, Izu was the sexy leg lamp, and I was like ‘oh my gods, you’re right.’ She started out pretty well, but in the end, even her ‘contribution’ was… Adoring Aruto like she was programmed to do? But I’m digressing into details again.

My point is that, even setting aside all my other issues w/ how they were portrayed, the bare bones trope of ‘girl who literally is only there to be the ‘pure angel’ and then get hurt to upset the hero for drama’ is tired. And they already played that card, and really badly. Now, if I thought this was going to be Izu taking responsibility for her part in the incident that led to her getting blown up, or even Aruto learning to take responsibility (or, admittedly, just… Anyone recognising their responsibility in that incident, rather than trying to pretend it was all Horobi’s fault, bc that was a case of everyone having a piece of the fault), then I might be swayed… But I find it highly unlikely (admittedly, like I’ve said before, I consider Izu and Horobi the least responsible for what happened, they should never have been left alone together, he was volatile and she did not have the wherewithal to properly talk him off the ledge, someone w/ emotional maturity should have gotten in there).

So it’s like… A perfect storm. I know I’m preaching to a choir and calling water wet to be complaining about this kind of overused sexism in KR, but… W/ the addition of how poorly handled it was at the end of the show and the way both characters were treated… It just increases my frustration and annoyance tenfold.

I just… I really hope we’re not rehashing for… Oh, gods, for a third time. Bc this happened w/ Baby Jin, too. Bc you know, it’s the five year old’s fault the homicidal satellite that brainwashed his father gave him weapons. -_-

And the worst part is, bc Eden’s human, what do you wanna bet he’s gonna be getting away w/ it.

Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER (2018 Movie) [Review]

I know no one asked for this but, I finally watched this and I thought I’d quickly give some thoughts about it! Kamen Rider is a series that is very important to me, and a series that I love, and I know a lot of my friends also love KR so I thought I’d give some thoughts. But not too many, I promise!

☆ I got emotional in the last 20 or so minutes of the movie because of all the nostalgia and seeing so many riders that I love!

☆ The ending credits has a great remix of ALL the theme songs mashed into one. I really liked it. The EC also has what they did in Generations Final: Legend Riders with all the images and shots from the previous series’ popping up during the entire credits so we all get emotional all over again xD

☆ SPOILER POINT: I was unfortunately spoiled for Sato Takeru’s appearance in this movie but I was super impressed with how much screen time he got when he finally showed up. He really has not aged that much at all! He was great! He was a great cameo and I loved his scene! I haven’t watched any of his recent stuff at all... now I really want go and marathon all his work from the past 3 years or so! xD

☆ Once again Inukai Atsuhiro completely FLAWED me with his acting. I cannot describe it but seriously, everytime I watch Atsuhiro I just watch in awe. How can anyone be so GOOD?!?! There’s a specific scene in the movie where he’s protecting a kid, and the bad guys are like ‘don’t protect that brat’ or something and just the anger and pissed off expression Atsuhiro has in that scene is PERFECT! It looks real! It FELT real! I don’t know WHAT it is about Atsuhiro and his acting but I am just completely amazed by him everytime!

☆ Also Atsuhiro’s hair was totally fluffy and adorable in the movie!! It was so cute xD

☆ The FINALLY did the Kiva line on Takeda Kouhei! A character in the movie, after meeting Kazumi, says ‘oh thank god it’s Kazumi. I was worried you were going to be Otoya from Kiva’ and Kazumi replies ‘eh? Who the hell is that? Course it’s me!’ and I absolutely DIED laughing! I am SO happy they finally addressed the whole him being in both Kiva and Build! I was so happy to see that meta-joke in the movie!

☆ I haven’t been Zi-o biggest fan so far but I really enjoyed Tokiwa Sougo in this movie. I feel like Sento is GOOD for him. In the tv show I just find hi brong but for some reason when he was with Sento in this, I really enjoyed their chemistry and I enjoyed his personality (he was much more rememberable in this movie than in the show so far) in this.

☆ MAIN PLOT: We have this kid, Shingo, who trying to run away from the bad guy, played by Daito Shunsuke (!!!!!), and Sento and Sougo try to protect him. Meanwhile, the people seem to think Kamen Rider is this ‘show’ so when the Riders are fighting, people are taking pictures and videos and cheering, as well as trying to get handshakes and stuff, almost like they were celebrities! We also meet one of Sougo’s schoolmates who seems to be obsessed with meeting all the Heisei Riders - how does he know about them?! Meanwhile, some people (Kazumin and Gentoku for example) are remembering they were Riders, while others (Gates etc.) are forgetting and just living normal lives. What is going on?!

☆ I really enjoyed the mystery in this movie. I really loved the twist reveals of who Daito’s henchmen are too! The mystery and the main plot for this movie is really interesting! However, the script was so poorly written and the story was poorly executed. The scriptwriter really ruined what was potentially an amazing story and plot! This movie really suffered from a bad script. The pacing was awfully slow, the middle part is such a drag, the gap and wait of meeting the past riders is so drawn out and so long. By the time we GOT to most of the Riders’ appearances, I had already made a decision on the movie and that it wasn’t the best. The timing for the Riders was way too late in my opinion. The story jumps all over the place (and not just in a time-space sense) that the mystery reveal feels sloppy when it could’ve been revealed so much better! The villain doesn’t even get a proper backstory or reason for his motives; he is just defeated and then ‘end of story’!

This story and plot HAS potential and an amazing concept! The story, the mystery, and the plot are not the problem here. I genuinely feel that in the hands of another writer, a better writer, this could’ve have been one of the best written KR movies we’ve had. Unfortunately, it turns out this writer is ALSO writing Zi-o, and that probably explains a lot as to why I not only didn’t enjoy this movie, but also why I’m not enjoying Zi-o. The pace in both movie and show is just slow, uneven, and not well done. The script and story in both formats is being handled poorly. But that is just my opinion.

☆ My only other problem is something that’s probably unavoidable so I shouldn’t really complain but every Kamen Rider movie, I go in and mentally note down who DOESN’T appear.

It’s no secret that Tokusatsu’s salary is absolute shit (apparently it’s 50,000 yen a month, but maybe that’s changed since more of the actors started speaking up about it), and we know people like Takeuchi Ryoma and Shimizu Fumika who have openly complained and talked about how poor their salary was and how much they did not enjoy filming the series. So I understand when and why certain actors do not come back years later for these kinds of movies. And I also understand that some of that actor’s company’s actually stop them from returning to the series too. I also know that some actors are just too busy to be able to add Kamen Rider Movie in their schedule for filming. And I assume some actors are just to expensive to get, or the actor themselves wants a high salary from it so they are rejected/refused and don’t come back. AND I also know they got a lot of actors to guest star in the TV Show rather than the movie. As well as I know the kids (the main goddamn audience xD) do not care about the actors, or who they are, the kids care more about the suit, the movies, and character. I know all this.

BUT.... it really does bother me when they don’t return. Especially in this specific movie, I felt it more prevalent than ever. This is the LAST Heisei Generations movie (unless they’re secretly making one. last. one. in the summer), and they barely had FIVE actors (four of those being Build actors!) from previous series’ show up. I am absolutely disgusted. Seriously, no one else wanted to come back (regardless of the salary)? Seriously, no one else had enough time in their schedule for ONE scene? Seriously, Toho didn’t have enough to pay the actors for both TV and Movie appearances? It just absolutely baffles me that in the LAST Heisei movie, the movie that was so UNBELIEVABLY hyped ALL YEAR LONG and hyped that ALL the riders were going to come back, that they couldn’t get even one or two more actors between Den-O and Build to appear?! Seriously, you’re telling none of the actors wanted to be in Kamen Rider just for nostalgia? Just because they actually fucking enjoy the series? Are we to assume Sato Takeru and his company demanded and wanted a wage so high that you couldn’t hire anyone else after that?? You managed to hire DAITO-FUCKING-SHUNSUKE but you couldn’t afford anyone else after blowing your entire budget on them two? SERIOUSLY? NOT ONE?!

I know I’m getting extreme and jumping into the deep end here, and there’s probably a billion reasons why the actors didn’t show up in the movie. But it really, really bothered me and really, really made me upset that for the last movie, this movie they hyped up so much, that they couldn’t get a billion of them (just like in the other Generations movie) back? It was the LAST movie. It just boggles my mind. It hurts, and I need a freaking press statement as to why no one else appeared, seriously.

☆ Let’s finish on a positive: There are two OC main characters in this movie: Shingo and Aruta and I absolutely loved their story! I thought it was such a cute story, and both of them did very well too!

And that’s all. Some positive things but I felt really passionate and really wanted to talk about the two big issues I had at length.

Also, pick up a square of fabric about 30 by 30 centimeters, something orange, preferably patterned. An argyle or stencil print, as well as some dark thread, maroon or violet. Once you do that, fold the square into a bandana and embroider the name “Constance” onto the back part of the bandana. We named the cat Constance. Also Amy, can you print that name in script, in cursive where each letter elegantly sweeps into the next? Don’t fret if you can’t do that, just do it in print, I guess. Thanks.

As I understand it, Karen Roberts relocated the entire Western European Labor Department into the Communications office. Congratulations on the increased resources! I hope you got a raise. I wish there a way to suggest this is a joke. Ursula doesn’t seem to have any sense of humor. Her letter was what, two sentences? I’m surprised she didn’t carve it directly into a block of ice. Amy, can you just draw a smiley face after my last comment? I’m not kidding. But most of my questions went unanswered. Perhaps you’re –pressed for time and if so, please let me know my best approach to Karen Roberts herself. She hasn’t returned my calls or letters. First, what is to become of regulatory protections for workers? The North and Baltic seas are filled with fishing ships, there are mines and textile factories all over the continent. Who is protecting workers from abuse if the entire region has no labor department? You can’t build a society without a well treated work force.

Second, Karen Roberts owned the largest construction firm along the Gulf of Mexico. Upon taking a government job, did she sell her interests in KR Development, Inc.? Calls to her Houston office suggest to me she has not. This is a violation of the new society ethics by-laws for bureaucrats. If she still owns any part of KR while administering all of Europe’s trade, then this is in direct conflict with our new society’s core values for governmental leadership. This is not a threat, but a fact. Also it is a threat. Don’t write that part. Uh, no write it, but then draw another smiley face. That was definitely a joke. No threats in letters, Amy, you know that.

Amy, on second thought, if you can’t embroider a nice cursive script, please just find a tailor or something to teach you. I dunno, figure it out. I’m positive you can figure it out.

Kim Roots (KR): I’m here with the cast of Midnight, Texas at TV Line’s Comic Con interview suite. Welcome! Yay! *cast cheers* Um, season 2 was not an easy get. It-we had to wait a long time. Were any of you guys sweating, like-like “What’s gonna happen?”

Arielle Kebbel (AK): All good things... come to those who wait? *cast laughs*

François Arnaud (FA): We knew, we knew it was gonna happen. Didn’t we? *cast laughs*

AK: Sure, yeah.

KR: You’re a little bit into season 2, right, a couple of episodes under your belt, here? You have some very exciting news, you have new people coming in. Um, I love that first season was- that Colconnar the demon was the big bad, and now it’s tourists are coming in and (inaudible)

AK: The worst! I’m someone from Florida, we know.

KR: Talk to me a little bit about, um, Kai and... Patience? Is that her name? Um... Nestor Carbonell and Jaime Ray Newman coming in- *cast cheers* Yeah, so exciting! And taking over the hotel. What is that gonna mean for-for the Midnighters? What’s that gonna mean for our group?

Parisa Fitz-Henley (PFH): Well they’re encroaching on Fiji’s territory.

AK: For sure.

PFH: I mean, with their crystals and stuff and, yeah, they’re getting in my way.

KR: Is she gonna be a little less tranquil than normal because of that?

PFH: Maybe... I feel like...

AK: That’s a good way of putting it!

PFH: *nods* Fiji is really sweet but she’s also got a little bit of a petty streak, I think that we might see a little of that.

AK: But per François, they won’t last long ‘cause of the ghosts, so we’ll see what happens.

KR: Oh, right!

FA: The ghosts might just help us get rid of them.

KR: That’s cool, um, if only the resident medium weren’t bleeding from the ears all the time. *cast laughs*

FA: I mean... they were bleeding blood, and not black goo.

KR: Oh yeah, yeah that’s true. So-

Jason Lewis (JL): How does that stuff taste?

FA: Uh, it’s really sweet and minty, actually, I quite like that.

KR: It’s minty?

FA: It’s minty, yeah.

Nicole Snyder (NS): We’re gonna gargle with it.

KR: How’s he doing as we come back into season 2?

FA: He’s, y’know, slightly more troubled than usual. Um, I mean, not great. He has, uh, demonic cancer, to put it lightly.

KR: Okay.

AK: (to Nicole Snyder) Are we allowed to say that? *Nicole shrugs*

FA: No? What are we allowed to say then? *cast laughs*

KR: Okay, so let’s table that for a second. Um, he and Creek had just kind of gotten together at the end of last season and cemented it. Um, Sarah Ramos is not a series rgular this season, but I know she’s going to be around.

FA: She’s around.

KR: So what does that relationship look like?

FA: Manfred’s coming to terms with the fact that maybe Creek deserves better than Midnight, I-I mean as a- *cast scoffs* no, no, no, different. I mean sh-she has more um...

JL: Are you deflecting off of your own character, like maybe deserves better than Manfred? *cast laughs*

FA: I think she has higher hopes for herself than just being a waitress in a small town and I think she wants to pursue, um, studies, and uh, literature studies, because then she has to become Charlaine Harris and write Midnight, Texas.

KR: Oh, that’s true!

JL: Well maybe possibly a place where she’s not constantly in threat for her mortal life.

PFH: Eh, I mean...

KR: Setting the bar really high. *cast laughs* There was kind of a band-aid stuck on all the cracks in the town, right? Like they stuffed the demons back and sealed it up, but that’s not gonna last forever. Can you guys tell me a little bit about how soon into the new season are we in mortal danger again?

AK: I mean, like, 30 seconds?

NS: I mean, yeah, pretty much ten seconds in.

Eric Charmelo (EC): Yeah, I-I mean, last season we played with the conceit that the threat to Midnight was lurking under the streets and this season the threat is amongst the Midnighters, so it’s kind of ferreting out, uh, who that threat it, and what the endgame is.

FA: It’s me. *cast laughs*

KR: Alright, so Josh Kelly’s character, Walker Chisum, who is... and there’s no way to say this in- he’s a gay demon hunter, but he does not hunt gay demons, he is gay-

EC: Correct, he is a gay cowboy demon hunter, he is.

JL: And he doesn’t necessarily hunt cowboys either.

AK: And he’s from Unreal, which we both worked on. *points to Joe Lewis*

KR: Yes, yes.

AK: So it’s all in the family, we had Breeda last season, from Unreal, so it’s a fun crossover.

KR: I need some webisodes of like, some like, bachelor-type (inaudible) Midnight show.

PFH: Oh my god, please.

AK: That would be funny.

KR: Walker has some attraction to Joe, I’m hearing. How is Chuy feeling about that?

JL: Chuy doesn’t know a damn thing. *cast laughs*

EC: That’s the way he likes it. *points to Joe Lewis*

KR: Wow. I mean, is this a thing, is it kind of, like, does Joe pick up on that, like, right away?

JL: No, I think, you know, Joe’s going through his own thing. He was hiding in Midnight for forever and hiding from Breeda’s character, uh, forever, and I think it’s kind of indicative of any of us that suppress a fundamental part of ourselves. It’s gonna come bubbling out and so, I’m bubbling.

KR: Are there any lasting effects from the vampire blood that Lem gave Olivia at the end of last season?

AK: I don’t wanna be a vampire, if that’s what you’re asking. *laughs* Love Lexi, I did it, no offense *motions toward Peter Mensah*, love Lem. *cast laughs* To be honest, I think that there’s a lot more that Olivia and Lem are going through than just the... are the effects on the vamp-sucking his blood. So season 2, uh, Olivia and Lem have a psychic connection, literally, so it quickly goes from, like, every woman’s dream to like, “Back the F off!” *cast laughs* So there’s a lot of that, you know? Like we had-there-there’s a nice little song and dance we have to work out.

FA: And maybe they’re thinking of, uh, expanding the family, aren’t they?

AK: *nods* A threesome. *cast laughs*

KR: How is Lem dealing with the psychic connection?

Peter Mensah (PM): Lem is busy shaking his head and wondering what the hell he got himself into (inaudible)

AK: Like every married man!

KR: Exactly, I love that. So it’s like not just like, “Oh honey, you’re, like, leaving wet towels on the floor” it’s like “You’re literally encroaching on my psyche”.

AK: It’s lit-I mean you wanna take this one since you know my thoughts? *motions to Peter Mensah* *cast laughs*

PM: Well I’m aware-I can’t say everything you’re thinking. *cast laughs*

AK: True!

PM: But yeah, it’s like y-you know, um, what do you do if you can literally hear someone’s thoughts, and feel their feelings.

KR: Oh, and feel their feelings too.

PM: And so, it’s a little bit more complicated than just, sort of, connected because emotionally, you’re going to react to the things they react to.

KR: My, like, not so smooth segue was “So like, speaking of connecting, over on the end here” that was like hot, sensual that just built to insanity at the end of last season between Fiji and Bobo. I mean, I watch TV, I know that when couples are that good, there’s always stuff that’s coming up for them. I’m very worried for you two, please put my mind at ease if you can.

Dylan Bruce (DB): Well at the beginning of season 2, they’re kind of like 21-year-olds again, when you first fall in love. Uh, very amorous, uh, they’re-

PFH: What do you mean 21 again? *cast laughs*

DB: They’re doing things-they’re doing things that Sting the singer would look at and go “Hm, haven’t tried that one before.” So, I’ll leave it at that, um, but yeah.

AK: Wow, he threw Sting in the mix.

DB: How could you not throw Sting in the mix?

FA: Is Sting famously adventurous? *cast nods*

DB: Yeah, but of course couples that are happy on TV can’t stay happy for too long so they’ll definitely- something could be happening to them down the road. It’s kinda scary, and uh, lovely, and-

PFH: Heart-wrenching, it’s heart-wrenching.

BD: Yeah. Sweet, cute, sad. Yeah.

PFH: Yeah, and surprising. I mean, that was the thing, you know. I thought “Okay, well this-this can’t possibily work out, like something’s gonna happen”. Nothing that is happening is anything I would’ve expected. Like I was like “Wh-What?! *gasps* Oh my god!”

DB: I’m always like “When’s Bobo gonna get to fight?” and Jason’s like “He’s a lover this season.” (inaudible) *cast laughs* I’m like “I wanna fight, man!”

AK: He’s gotta conserve energy.

NS: (inaudible) there’s nothing left in him to fight. It’s all love. *cast laughs* Oh! Oh! I didn’t mean it like that!

AK: Welcome to season 2!

JL: Bravo. *pats Nicole Snyder’s shoulders* Yes, you did.

KR: I hate to end this on a down note but where’s Mr. Snuggly, why does he not come to Comic Con?

AK: We hired my cat instead. *cast laughs* I’m just kidding, but I’m still fighting for her.

PFH: Why would you want him here?

KR: I feel like he’s like-he may be like, the outlier. Does he like, does he have his own trailer and he like, slams the door and smokes cigarettes in there between (inaudible).

PFH: He’s mean. If he shows up at all! He’s the biggest diva, he’s so rude, do you see him on Twitter? He-he won’t leave me alone, he’s-he trolls me constantly. *cast laughs* What is the cat version of bitch? Like I know that’s like a f-dog thing, but like he’s-

KR: I think it’s just cat. *cast laughs* I’m a dog person. Um, there’s no way I can wrap this up in a concise way, so thank you guys so much for coming.

When we last left off, an attempt to take back Gotham and Rescue Bruce resulted in a bridge getting blown up, Gotham is now in a mess, and just because Jeremiah Valeska is still at large, his bombs were set off in places across Gotham, evacuations were initiated and Gotham became free for the taken, long story short the city is in complete chaos and has been declared No Man’s Land. In an attempt to take their city back, The GCPD decided to place a light on their building to shine into the sky, a light that would one day become the bat-light in the future. It seems that Jeremiah Valeska has on the same threat-level as his late brother Jerome Valeska, he has gone back into the shadows even though we have not seen the last of him. With order now completely broken into a pile of rubble obviously anyone who wants to take control of Gotham have seized the opportunity. Bruce Wayne is still in the city, still chasing Jeremiah after what had happened to Selena Kyle, he joins Jim Gordon on the roof as they stare at the light in the sky with Gordon stating that the light in the sky will bring out what ever is hiding in the shadows. Whats do you guys think about what Oswald Cobble pot killing Butch for what Tabitha did to his mother? yes ladies and gentlemen, an eye for eye or in this case a loved one for a loved one. Towards the end of the episode, we see a preview of problems, and its not just Jeremiah Valeska that Gotham will be dealing with, Firefly, Mr Freeze, Scarecrow, and even Penguin himself are taken over turfs in Gotham, and lets not forget strange forces crawling through the streets of Gotham in the wake of this disaster, for example: a strange woman wearing a mask and hold a lamp, she walks into a room and stares at a child wearing a mask . Penguin has plans for Edward Enigma and Lee Tompkins as he has employed Hugo Strange to bring them back to life or revive them or wake them up from coma. In the start of the season 5 trailer, it picks up from where off, and yes ladies and gentlemen, Gotham has become a war-ground. One problem a lot of fans have with season 5 of Gotham is the appearance of Bane in Gotham. We know Bane is coming, that is when Bruce Wayne has officially become Batman, but why now when he has not even reached adult hood, much less Puberty?

1968 GT 500 KR Patina With Pride!

Greg Schimetschek developed an obsession for a certain local 1968 Shelby the minute he laid his teenage eyes on it. You see, the East Haddam, Connecticut, resident just wasn’t used to seeing cars like this muscular Mustang in his travels. “It was a big treat just to see it out; there weren’t many Shelbys around. We only ever saw them in magazines,” says Greg. One thing was for certain—the young, burgeoning car aficionado was not going forget about this particular car too quickly.

Greg was no stranger to Ford’s hot rides. He owned and drove a nice K-code Mustang fastback in high school and was quite fond of muscle rides, hot rods, and wild drag cars as well. But the Shelby-built cars, well, those were the crème de la crème as far as he was concerned.

On his jaunts through neighboring Old Lyme, he would spot this particular Shelby on a regular basis. It wasn’t long before Greg located the car sitting out in front of the owner’s house right there in town. Local resident Ron Purinton had bought the car used from the second owner and liked to drive it regularly. Then the car was parked nightly right in his yard, where curious eyes could easily check it out.

Soon after locating the Shelby in the owner’s yard, Greg started chatting with Ron about his car. The brazen youngster even asked Ron if he would sell the car the first time they met. The answer was a resounding “NO,” the then-smitten Shelby admirer remembers. But Greg forged on, always taking a peek at the Mustang while doing work in town, just keeping an eye on the “for now” out of reach prize.

Greg and his wife, Diana, had son Dean in 1987. “Some of my earliest memories are heading over to Ron’s to look at the car,” says Dean. In 1990 Greg had another chat with Ron about purchasing the car, but still, the car was not for sale. By now Shelbys had hit new heights in the collector-car market, and Ron started covering the car up when not in use to keep the car on the down-low.

The years passed by, and now Dean was turning into a young hot rodder and became just as intrigued with the Shelby as his father already was. The visits to Ron’s house continued, with the same question being asked over and over. It became apparent that the car would never part from Ron’s possession. But the Schimetscheks forged on. Once for fun the duo asked Ron if he would part with it for a million dollars. “No, I don’t think I ever would,” he replied with a grin.

Ron’s stance on the Shelby was certainly solid, so the boys took it in stride. However, they never forgot about the car. “We were in Old Lyme often, so we kept a lookout,” Dean says. In 2014 they stopped by to see how Ron was doing. The car was still under its tarp, and Ron was as solid on his stance as ever. Figuring that Ron would never sell, and even if he did, the car would have a multitude of suitors, Greg and Dean gave up the idea of ever owning the car.

In 2016, Greg received a tip about an early Corvette for sale in Old Lyme. Turns out it was one of Ron’s cars. He had saved a lot of parts from a wrecked Stingray and they were now being put out for sale. Sadly, Ron had recently passed away and his partner Dan was selling the contents of the garage. Greg and Dean bought the hardtop for the Corvette and then started talking about the Shelby. Dan loved the story and the history the twosome had with the car, but he felt it was too early to sell the Mustang. The parties decided to revisit talks in the spring for a possible sale.

They talked over the following months. The biggest concern was that Dan wanted the car to go to an owner who would appreciate the car as much as Ron did. After some thought Dan decided that Greg and Dean would become the Shelby’s next titleholders—if and only if a deal could be reached. A number was put out by Dan and the Schimetscheks accepted. The Shelby was finally coming home with Greg and Dean.

One interesting fact here is that Dean had never seen the car out from under a tarp. And Greg’s glimpses of the car were usually from a good distance, as it had been under that tarp for many years. Imagine their surprise when it was finally unveiled. For years they had thought it was just a G.T. 500. When the KR was finally revealed, the twosome had to hold in their excitement. “I was shocked to see “G.T. 500KR” on the rockers,” admits Dean.

Only manufactured the last three months of production in 1968, the Cobra Jet–powered “King of the Road” was the ultimate Shelby. The VIN was checked and verified that it was a true R-code car. The boys were treated to more great news: “It runs,” says Dan. The car was actually driven right up on the trailer. “Leaving that day with my dad and the Shelby, towing our prize behind us, was one of the greatest moments in my life,” exclaims Dean.

The Rundown So what did they actually purchase? The 1968 G.T. 500KR convertible was an early production car, built on May 22, 1968, and sold out of Al Grillo Ford in Lynn, Massachusetts. It’s one of 518 convertibles produced. The dealership only lasted for three years, as the owner had supposed ties to the mob. Al mysteriously disappeared in 1971, never to be seen again.

It originally came with a four-speed manual, which was changed to an automatic early in its life (they are sourcing an original Top Loader as we write this). It’s basted in Candyapple Red paint, matched with a black interior and white top. The paint is mostly original and presentable, with a few touch-ups and, of course, some New England rust. But to their advantage, the Shelby has never been restored or taken apart.

The interior is original for the most part, with a ’69 Shelby steering wheel being swapped in before the Schimetscheks bought it. The upholstery is original, and even the seats are in great shape. The born-with Kelsey-Hayes 15×6 wheels are on the car with a fresh set of re-pop Goodyear E70-15 Speedway 350 tires that the new owners installed. These wheels are contrary to the popular 10-spoke aluminum wheels seen on most 1968 Shelbys today, but all ’68-built examples were originally delivered with K-H steel wheels and hubcaps. The car had been riding on a set of Cragars since Greg first laid eyes on it over 40 years ago.

As far as its overall appearance, the sheetmetal is in very good condition for being a car that’s lived its entire life in New England. Winters alone there can take a severe toll on a car’s sheetmetal, with salt and heavy humidity causing havoc on the outer skins. Luckily, this car was stored on a hard surface, where issues are reduced when dealing with extended outdoor storage.

To make it roadworthy, the aforementioned tires were installed. Other needed repairs were a run-through of the brakes and an engine tune-up. It wasn’t long before the twosome had it out at its first local car cruise, showing the locals just what had been stashed right in front of their eyes over the years.

Today Greg and Dean couldn’t be happier. As co-owners of Jeremiah Johnson Trading Company, an antique firearms dealer, the car is always with the twosome and ready to take on the street. So now, as the future keepers of Ron’s beautiful Shelby, the Schimetscheks have adopted Ron’s motto. “Just as he said all those years, we now tell everyone else; the car is not for sale.” We get it, guys. We get it!

This Original-Owner 1968 Shelby GT500 KR Never Sees a Trailer

One of the difficult issues when profiling a car so well known, such as the Shelby GT500 KR, is figuring out what new information can be brought to the story. We all know the specifications, the production numbers, and competition history where it applies. But rarely do we speak with the original owner who has owned the car since new. More than a Shelby GT500 KR story, this is Bob and Audrey Greenwood’s story.

Bob lives in Wisconsin with his wife, Audrey, of 47 years. Over that time he’s raised a family of three children and now has five grandchildren. Bob’s KR has been a part of his family over that entire span of time. Retired after a career as an aircraft mechanic, skills that served him well in restoring the car, they now have time to enjoy their Shelby that he and Audrey have nicknamed “Cobra.”

Bob says, “My first car was a 1956 Ford convertible that I got from my Dad in late 1962. I worked part-time at a full service gas station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, while in high school. I drove that car hard, and that didn’t end well for it. I have owned very few cars, but the ones I’ve had I liked and drove until the wheels were ready to fall off. I would keep them running as long as I could. I still own a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria that I bought while in the Air Force. This car will be my next project.”

“While I was in the Air Force I had a nice 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL. After seeing the Shelby ads in car magazines, I knew I had to testdrive one. When I got out of the service, I wasted no time getting down to Northwestern Ford in Milwaukee to testdrive a Shelby. This was March of 1969, and the dealer had leftover 1968s and 1969s on the lot. A Candy Apple Red ’68 GT500 KR caught my eye. As a gas station mechanic at the time, I knew I couldn’t afford the car, but I needed to testdrive it anyway. On the testdrive the salesman who went with me said, ‘open it up.’ So I did! I was hooked and had to have it. The salesman figured out how I could get the money to buy it. After signing paperwork for two loans the car was mine. I married Audrey in May 1970, and the Shelby was our family car. By 1982 the car had 108,000 miles on it and was in bad shape, being driven daily in Wisconsin through winters of snow and salted roads. I took it apart in 1982 and had neither time nor money then to restore it, so it just sat and took up space (many of the parts were stored in boxes in our basement). After 30 years, in the fall of 2013, it was back on the road. Now it will never see snow tires or winter again.”

Bob restored the car himself spending more time on it as the kids grew up. He started out doing structural work, as it was badly rusted and required a lot of welding. He says, “I am not a welder, but through trial and error my skills at welding improved. This part of the restoration took a lot of time, but not so much money. After I got the structure repaired the body was trailered to RT Restoration in Fond du Lac to put on the rotisserie. Troy Oestreich welded on the new N.O.S. quarter-panels. I didn’t want to screw them up after what they cost me. Troy prepared and painted the body with PPG base/clearcoat Candy Apple Red, as original. The inside, engine compartment, and bottom of the car were all painted to factory specs as best we could.”

After the car was painted, it returned to Bob’s home for reassembly. “I rebuilt every part and component on the car. The whole car is restored to original, except a few items that can be easily be changed back to original. I installed a negative wedge kit and lowered the upper control arms, installed Flowmaster mufflers, and put real wood veneer in the center console.”

After being apart for almost 30 years, reassembly proved to be something of a challenge. “I had lots of pictures and hand-drawn schematics of how the wiring was routed. When I had questions and needed help with the assembly I contacted Jim Cowles of Shelby Parts & Restoration in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Pete Disher in Lake Mills, Wisconsin, who is an expert on 1968 Shelbys. Bob’s Shelby is unique. As in Bob’s words, it was equipped with everything in 1968 that Ford offered. It has the Shelby-installed rollbar and shoulder harness and custom center console, as well as all the fiberglass parts. His car lacks air conditioning or the option of the FM radio. For Bob, it’s just AM.

Bob’s G.T. 500KR is equipped with the 428 CJ engine rated at 335 hp, an 11.5-inch clutch, the close-ratio Top Loader four-speed transmission, 9-inch differential with 3.50 ratio Traction-Lok and 31-spline axles, all rebuilt during the restoration process by Bob himself. Engine machine work and balance was done by Tim Hjelle at Fond du Lac Auto Machine. “I found out the hard way that you need to install positive valve seals on the 428. The stock seals didn’t do the job.”

“I am old and so is the car. I love driving it and Audrey loves riding in it. The AM radio works, but who needs it with a 428 CJ humming as we drive down the road? Since the restoration was completed we have been driving the car about 4,000 miles per year. The break-in trip was to Las Vegas for the Mustang 50th Anniversary. We did the Pony Drive, taking Route 66 as much as possible. What a blast! We’ve also been to Sturgis, South Dakota, for the Mustang Rally and toured the Black Hills. Another road trip was to drive to Indianapolis, Indiana, for the MCA 40th Anniversary and then continued on the Pony Drive through the New England states. Driving the winding roads and hills through the mountains was total fun.”

Bob notes that compared to the new cars his Shelby is work to drive. “It shifts hard, power steering is to turn and wait for it to respond, and brakes leave a lot to be desired. At 12 to 14 miles per gallon, we visit a lot gas stations on long-distance trips. We enjoy driving this Shelby more than anything. No matter where we go people are taking pictures with their cell phones and many thank us for driving it so others have a chance to see a ‘real Shelby.’ The car has made it possible to meet many new friends.”

When asked about the car’s most unique attribute, here’s what Bob had to say: “In all the years I’ve owned this car since new, it has never seen a trailer except when it went to the restoration shop and back home again—about eight miles. This car also still has the factory hub caps, and we have owned this Shelby since new. We show the car all summer in Wisconsin and put it in the Show & Shine in Sturgis in 2015. A real thrill for us was when we received the Premier Award in the muscle car class at the 2017 Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance.”

With the passage of time, priorities change, as Bob notes. “The car is totally different fun now than it was when we were young. The experiences we’ve had with the car since restoration are priceless. Drive your Mustang while you can and enjoy every mile.” We cannot agree more.

More thoughts below! Warning: this is ESPECIALLY long! (please do not feel at all obligated to read the whole thing)

Sougo driving the bike off the road and then ducking beneath the curb to hide from Geiz reminds me of Emu, in full golden-dreadlock mode, hiding behind a corner from the people-turned-bugsters and peeking out like a little kid.

The small twelve year old--er... Sorry, sixteen year old--is playing hopscotch w/ the dead guy. That they just... Left there? I guess Geiz popping up did distract everyone.

And... As I suspected, he’s back. Well--suspected bc preview images, but... Ya know.

Woz! That actor is having a lot of fun and I appreciate it. I’m wondering if they had to do that scene multiple times bc he had trouble pulling the hood up smoothly.

The fact that he disappeared from the outside the temple just to appear immediately at Sougo’s house is both unnecessary and hilarious.

Also: ‘I Woz-proofed my house, but he still got in!’

Aw, Geiz is a good boo. I guess maybe he and Tsukuyomi were going back to find Another Build when... Another Build found them.

And another aw, she’s worried about him! They’re cute. I love friendship.

Oh! Baseballs this time! Does that mean he found a Best Match?

And Sougo’s here! Yeah, thinking about it, saving his life is probably one of the best things you could do to make Geiz pause about killing you--given that future you tried to kill him, it’s an antithesis, so... Did that make sense?

On that note, I think Woz told him were they were/that Geiz was fight Another Build? I know he said Geiz’ name while invading Sougo’s house. Where was Junichiro in that scene, anyway?

Oh my god, the dramatic music, and then the damn eye shine... If we could have seen Geiz’ face, I’m sure it would have been ‘WTF???’

Oop! He Rider Kicked! Congrats on the first one, Sougo! Though... It may not have stuck.

And then he just runs off, in full transformation. Oh, my baby, my loser. Well, Geiz and Tsukuyomi can keep it busy so there are no new victims.

Wait. Did he just run... All the way to Nascita? I guess... I guess they’re in the same city? Huh. ... Do all KR series take place in the same city? Is this all just supposed to be Tokyo? ... No, that can’t be it.

I love how he just kinda tried to dive into the fridge.

Aaaaaaand.... Here are the dorks! Wait... Shouldn’t Misora and Souichi be here? Eh, maybe they couldn’t get the actors back (or couldn’t afford to w/ everyone else they were planning/wanted to bring back).

You know, while I do mostly agree that maybe they coulda waited an ep before diving into the Build cameo, I think they may have been trying to use it to establish the ‘schtick’ of the season so to speak (at least the beginning schtick--like how w/ Build it was ‘find and fight Smash’ and w/ Ex-Aid it was ‘find Bugster Virus patients’) using a Rider that, as it had just finished, everyone was already familiar w/. Though in regards to that, obviously they start w/ Build bc he’s the most recent. But the point is, I’m thinking it may have been meant to be the ‘tutorial’ or ‘introduction’ incident of the series. I could be wrong ofc, and like I said, I do think would probably have behoved them to wait an episode, I think I get why they did it this way. That... May have made no sense. I’m sorry.

God, even in this small scene, the chemistry between these two remains amazing. Glad Eiji and Atsuhiro seem to be having fun.

So... I accidentally paused it at a moment where Sento looks like a scared rabbit and Ryuuga looks like he’s being protective. Cuties.

Also, I guess the Time Jackers are stealing the powers long-distance? Speaking of Evil Cutie Baby Boy (that’s his name, right?) there was a shot in the trailer of him freezing Build and Cross-z in time to harass Sougo. Wonder if that’s in this ep? (it probably is, and then I’ll be too lazy/stubborn to delete this bullet point later)

Oooooooo! And we get Geiz’ Rider Kick! That was interesting!

The teleporting Ride Watches strike again! Seriously, who made those things? They get around faster than mosquitos! ... Maybe.

So... What, it just had to get double-Rider Kicked, or just Rider Kicked twice to die? I am the confused.

Pfffft. Sento and Ryuuga screaming when they realise they’re hugging. Well, half hugging.

Oh! So... Something just rewrote time? So Sento giving Sougo the Build Ride Watch in 2018 creates a stable time loop for something that’s going to happen in 2017, which 2018 Sento remembers bc it’s his past, but that Sougo doesn’t understand bc it’s his future. Time travel.

Wait... Are we just completely nixing Sento’s actual first meeting w/ Zi-O? Bc even if it’s from Sougo’s future, it’s from Sento’s past (the movie), and the Sento of now should remember it. Maybe. Though maybe that got retconned so he forgot. Again. Time travel.

Oh! It did come back! Wait... Why did Sento and Ryuuga’s memories change when Geiz kicked it? Or... Maybe they just ‘reset’ like that every time it’s destroyed, and then when it respawns they get rewritten again. Or maybe talking is a free action.

Aw, poor Geiz has Rider Kicked too many times and worn himself out.

Oh. So they have to use the power of the Rider that the power was stolen from to destroy it?

Sougo correctly identifying Geiz as his secondary and handing him the Cross-z Ride Watch. Love them.

Speaking of which--have I mentioned I love Geiz?

I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I know I said I would stop doing that. I just really love secondaries, okay!

Geiz is taller than him and he’s gonna be the grumpy big brother and it’s cute! Fight me.

No, no, again, please don’t. I’m a mess rn, I’ll cry.

Aw! They ran Fast Like Sonic together! I think Sougo saving their lives is what’s making Geiz willing to work w/ him temporarily--not to mention the, er, Another Rider attacking people. Geiz is a good boy. But I’m sure he’ll get more hostile again once the situation is over.

It’s is Time Majin! I feel so deceived.

Oh! Hey, it’s the Best Match Boys again! Can they transform? Maybe. I honestly don’t care anymore. Not in a negative way, though. I’m more not bothered bc I’m enjoying this--if that makes sense?

So the format seems to be--they meet the Riders somehow (be it in the past, or in the present). A Time Jacker, meanwhile, goes back in time and creates Another Rider. So what our heroes have to do is find the Rider in the present and fix their memories--even temporarily--to get the Ride Watches from them and create a stable time loop of some kind, then go back to that time period (again, if they’ve been there before) and destroy the Another Rider there to set things to rights. So maybe more like the Riders are lending them a portion or piece of their power rather than it being ‘taken’ or anything, and they’re not really effecting the original flow of the previous story, just adding a scene were ‘monster that wasn’t a MOTW showed up and then some time traveler folks did, too.’ Ofc we’re only part way through the ep, so there could be other effects, I don’t know yet.

OH. MY. GOD. Another Build sees Ryuuga and then just... GLOMPS him. And shouting ‘BEST MATCH!’ While Sento just kinda is like ‘WTF?’

But oh boy is he probably gonna be mad at Ryuuga for rejecting him...

I guess the guy also got... Connected to Build’s memory somehow? Bc he was able to identify Ryuuga as Cross-z w/out any outside clues, and I don’t think it was common knowledge? After all, he was still a wanted criminal at that point, right?

Oh! They can transform, but it’s glitchy as hell. I see... But why is Ryuuga being glitched? I get Sento being effected, bc Another Build is, well, right there, but there isn’t Another Cross-z, so what’s happening w/ Ryuuga?

Well, either way, it’s still nice to see Cross-z’s original suit again. Shoulda said that last ep, too. That was a damn good suit. Glad they were able to keep it active, even just for these few eps. Might get scrapped after though. Still grateful, however.

HE EATS THEM???? OH GOD. HE’S ORGANIC. HE’S ORGANIC BUILD. HIS FACE MOVES. HE’S NOT IN A SUIT HE IS THE SUIT I AM DISTURBED.

The other dork boys! Are here! Yay!

Ah! Evil Cutie Baby Boy! Also, hey, there’s that scene I was talking about. No, I’m not going to delete that bullet point out of spite. Spite for what? Don’t ask me.

Geiz is like ‘... Oh. You.’ at Uhr. Like, that’s his expression. I love it.

Meanwhile, Sougo has no clue what’s going on.

I should note that I don’t actually know if Geiz knows who Uhr is, bc he didn’t say anything like Tsukuyomi did w/ Woz. I just drawing conclusions from my reading of his expression.

This boy has the cutest damn smile I wanna hug him to pieces I’m dying here. He’s clearly a shit but he’s got such a baby face and he’s just a kid and I’m feeling parental for evil murder children someone help me.

I thought only Schwarz could freeze time, though? Well, maybe he can just doing over a wider area for longer.

Well, Sougo’s response to Evil Cutie Baby Boy seems to have won him some points w/ Geiz... You’re doing a good job making up for your poor communication in ep 1, honey.

Actually, one thing that bothers me about Uhr’s appearance is that the strand of his hair w/ the feather in it (that all the TJs have--yes, they’re TJs now) just cross right across his forehead and never moves and it’s kinda distracting.

Aw, look, boys, you’re already synchronised in putting your Drivers on. Ya’ll are gonna be friends whether you like it or not!

Four Riders, no waiting!

Oh, no... They got de-Ridered!

Well, we now know that Sougo can’t swim, I guess. Or... Maybe just not in the suit? Also, awwwww, Geiz pulled him out.

Woz here on par w/ Kogure for unexplained abrupt entrances. If there’s a crossover between Zi-O and LuPat, I really hope there’s a scene where they do it to each other or something.

Sougo looking around like ‘Ah! Where’d he come from!’ is really funny, too. He even looks up at the damn sky.

Also, I’m just gonna assume he’s got a Time Majin hidden somewhere. Unless there’s another way to jump through time they haven’t shown yet.

He did it!

Ah, so this is the memory that Sento had earlier.

Oh and, hey, Woz smiled! Not sure if that was a good thing, but he’s got a nice smile.

And... There he goes again.

Oh, wait... Are we gonna get Geiz’ reaction to Woz? Admittedly, Tsukuyomi only got to act surprised and ask what he was doing there (and got no answer), but Geiz hasn’t seen him yet. Does he know him, too?

Okay, I’m really liking the trend of people ignoring Woz’s speeches to do other things. Like the first time when Sougo was wondering at his transformation, and here where Sento whispers to him. It’s funny and I hope they keep doing it. I’m also hoping one day (if Woz shows up to do this every time Sougo gets a new Ride Watch) that some day someone (probably Geiz or Tsukuyomi) is gonna shove him aside or at least tell him to shut up and he gets offended. Double funny if they cover his mouth.

Sento and Ryuuga just watching the math move slowly along. Sento doesn’t seem pleased. Ryuuga just looks confused.

Oooooh! I see! Now this adds to the formula. They give the Riders the Ride Watches in the past, so that they carry them w/ them and it... I dunno, learns about their power, or is just there and ready in the future present/when they’re needed. And that’s why Sento and Ryuuga had them in their pockets! Rest of the proposed format still holds.

Eh? Katsuragi? Though... His personality doesn’t seem different at all? And he’s still on good terms with Ryuuga... And... I don’t see how what happened there would change him into Katsuragi? Maybe... Something went wrong w/ the Another Build power return? Plus, when Sougo went to see them at Nascita earlier in the ep, it seemed like he was Sento then, didn’t it? I could have sworn Ryuuga called him that? So it’s not actually that big a change? I’m confused.

Geiz is just like ‘Tsukuyomi, I literally saved him earlier, I think it’s pretty clear I’m taking a pausing from being terminator for the moment.’

Oh god, he comes downstairs and they’re both in his house, I love it. I guess Geiz saw the sign at some point, and when he decided to hold off on the killing Zi-O plan was like ‘oh hey, that could be useful!’

Tsukuyomi, nailing the fake introduction. Geiz here being a grumpy bear (though he still nails the fake introduction, just as a grump). I love this so much.

Sougo has the ‘I just woke up’ excuse for any nonsense he might accidentally say.

Tsukuyomi denies the handshake and Geiz is just like ‘hi, I’m gonna threaten you now’ (I assume that’s what he’s doing).

And then Geiz and Tsukuyomi reacting to the food (I guess it’s not what they’re used to--can’t tell whether it was a positive or negative reaction though).

Oh, hi Woz! are you the narrator?

EMU! So you’re a full-on paediatrician! Good on you!

Excited for next ep! Looking forward to seeing my grouchy emo surgeon son and his gamer ray of sunshine again! Seems he’s calling Emu ‘paediatrician’ instead of ‘intern’ now, hee hee. More primary-secondary friendship, give me more, MORE! Ahem. I also just really loved that particular relationship and I hope they get friendship interactions. Though I don’t think there’s been a Brave Ride Watch? Maybe there has and I missed it.
