I’m struggling a bit here.

So I have this friend, who I’ve known for about 2 years. We met in a drama class and we have a lot in common.

Recently I’ve been thinking about my feelings for her, and I think I might have a crush.

I’m demiromantic and demisexual so having crush is kinda rare for me.

Anyway, she’s really nice, we have the same music taste, and she pays attention to things other people are ignorant about.

She’s accommodating to my undiagnosed neurodivergence, and when I ask or tell her things (e.x “It’s too loud” “I don’t want to be touched right now” “I’m uncomfortable here”) She listens and immediately tries to help in ways she can.

She’s also affirming of my gender identity and sexuality, unlike my other friends and the other kids at my school (I live in a very homophobic state) she uses my preferred pronouns and name. She’ll defend me from the transphobic bullying and she’ll correct anyone that uses my deadname.

She also makes sure I eat. I have eating problems and don’t typically eat 3 meals a day (it’s more like a bunch of food late in the day) but during our lunch period she always makes sure I eat at least something.

Essentially, she’s absolutely amazing.

Just one problem.

She’s a lesbian.

I’m a nonbinary transmasc.😭

So, I feel like the identity of "lesbian" is hard, because some people take it as only liking girls, while others take it as liking nonmen. If you're nonbinary and don't consider yourself as a man (I wasn't sure based on what you said? I know it varies depending on the person.) then it could be a possibility?

I feel like honestly, there's a lot of nuance there, you know? Has she been very clear that she only likes girls? If so, then yeah, you might have to warm up to being friends with her only.

Which...she sounds like an amazing friend, you know? I think either way, you're so lucky to have her.

If I'm being completely honest, some of the best books I've read over the past few years are ones that come up on my Kindle storefront recommendations. The best part is that most of them I go in completely blind and with close to zero expectations, so when they are good, I'm blown away. I cannot tell you the amount of books I've read either through Kindle Unlimited or bought the ebook of for very cheap that I had to turn around and buy a physical copy of because they were so good that I had to put them on my bookshelves.
