Healing in Time
Demetri Volturi x reader
Summary: Demetri driving his mate to therapy, as he expresses how proud he is of them for healing.
A/N: I’m back… I wrote a comfort fic as I’ve been away dealing with things so yay I’ve returned!! I wrote this in first person which is different than my other fics. I apologize !!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There I was, sitting in Demetri’s car. It was raining that day. The clouds covered the beautiful sky, yet it somehow made the world look poetic every time it would rain. It was slightly colder outside, it made the leather of Demetri’s seats feel colder against my skin through my hoodie. It was that time of the week again, where I had therapy. I looked over to see Demetri’s eyes focused on the road navigating through the rain. He always had the most beautiful concentrated face. His eyes were narrow, he clenched his jaw at every red light with his lips slightly pursed. I knew he always hated waiting. He was wearing blue contacts with a tight black t-shirt paired with black jeans and his Trenchcoat. His free hand held mine tightly as he ran his thumb across my knuckles. It’s amazing how he was always so good at instantly calming my nerves. There was nowhere I wanted to be other than in his arms, I felt the safest when he was holding me. I always wanted to be near him, and I knew the mate bond made it painful to be away from him, but I could never stop myself from needing him around. He was my protector, my sunshine.
“So darling, I know you’ve been going for around six months now, but I’m really proud of you. You’re so strong, you know that? It takes courage to do this… Hell I never would.” He said in that low accent of his, but he mumbled the last part and let out a soft sigh as he parked and wrapped his arms around me for a second. “I know it works for you, and I’m proud of you for getting better, I love you so much. You know I’m here for you through your healing process, okay? You’re even moving in the castle with me.” He said with a soft smile forming on his perfect lips. He brought his cold hand up to my cheek and softly as he stroked it. “I love you too Metri… and I know you are. You know how much I appreciate you, it’s more than life. You rescued me. You saved me, and I know I’m safe with you.” I whispered, as I couldn’t help feeling the tears begin to well into my eyes. He was proud of me, god I haven’t heard those words in so long. I felt his thumb run across my cheek wiping away the tears as I sniffed “I’ve got you. Forever.” He whispered back as he pressed a soft kiss to my head “I’ll be right here for when you get out of therapy, it’s just an hour, I’ll be here.” He says with a soft smile taking off his jacket to give to me. I slipped it across my shoulders, and for him being cold, it felt quite warm. It smelled like his cologne and that was more than comforting, it felt like I had him there with me.
I gave him one last smile as I said “I can do this! I-I got this!” I exclaim with a nod. With that, I stepped out of his car into the dreary weather and headed into the building.

Hello! So I had this Poly!Volturi Knights x Reader idea
Where (y/n) went to a “Red and Black ball”(you can pick the readers outfit if you want) made by the Volturi kings themselves.
And during their time at the ball they made eye contact with each of the knights as they walked pass by them
Almost like a slow motion moment Yknow😅
This is so cool I can definitely do this and I’ll even have it as each of their povs further down in this
↱ queen of the ball ↰
➘ summary : the volturi goes all out for their newest member, it’s a good thing they are hosting a ball tonight
➘ a/n : I don’t feel I did my best for this but I hope you enjoy it nevertheless :)

The grand halls of the Volturi castle were adorned with opulent decorations, a tapestry of black and red intertwining to create an ambiance of both elegance and power. The anticipation was palpable as guests from all corners of the vampire world gathered for the much-awaited black and red ball, hosted by the Volturi kings themselves.
In a secluded chamber within the castle, the newest member of the Volturi, (Y/N), stood before a full-length mirror. She was surrounded by a whirlwind of activity as skilled hands worked to transform her appearance. The dress that had been meticulously designed for her lay across a chair, a masterpiece of black silk with intricate red accents that mimicked the patterns of rose petals.
Marcus, known for his impeccable taste and eye for design, had overseen every detail of the dress's creation. He had chosen to infuse it with an air of enchantment, a nod to the fairy tales that humans so often told. The dress clung to her figure in all the right places, the red accents tracing delicate lines that emphasized her natural beauty.
Aro, with his flair for the dramatic, had arranged for a hairstylist and makeup artist to enhance (Y/N)'s features. Her (h/c) hair was woven into an intricate updo, adorned with delicate red crystals that caught the light and shimmered like stars. The makeup artist had worked magic with brushes and pigments, enhancing her eyes and lips in a way that accentuated her allure without overpowering her natural radiance.
As the finishing touches were applied, (Y/N)'s reflection stared back at her with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. This was a night of celebration, a chance for her to make her mark within the Volturi and to showcase her newfound place as a member of their family. She had been embraced by the kings, and tonight, she would step into her role with grace and poise.
With a final flourish, her reflection smiled back at her, and the transformation was complete. She turned to face the attendants, gratitude filling her eyes. "Thank you all. I never imagined I would be part of such an extraordinary event."
Caius, whose taste leaned towards luxury and indulgence, entered the room, holding a pair of red and black heels with a glass-like sheen. "To complete the ensemble," he declared, a rare hint of a smile tugging at his lips. The shoes were a work of art, a perfect match to the dress that had been crafted with such care.
Finally ready, (Y/N) took one last look in the mirror before stepping out into the bustling hallway. The whispers of admiration that followed her as she walked towards the ballroom were a testament to the effort that had been put into her transformation. The dress swirled around her with each step, the red accents catching the light and creating an ethereal glow.
As she entered the ballroom, the atmosphere shifted. All eyes turned towards her, the sea of black and red parting to make way for her presence. The Volturi kings stood at the center, their gazes filled with approval and a touch of awe. Aro's grin was infectious, and Caius's nod of approval held more weight than she could have hoped for.
Marcus approached her, his calm demeanor softened by a smile. "You look stunning, my dear. Your mates will surely love seeing you in this."
With each note of the music that filled the air, (Y/N) felt the weight of her new role lifting. She was not just a member of the Volturi; she was a part of a family that celebrated her, appreciated her, and had dressed her in a gown fit for a modern Cinderella.
Demetri's eyes were fixed on the entrance to the grand ballroom, his heart pounding with an excitement he couldn't contain. He had heard the whispers and the anticipatory hum that had swept through the castle, signaling the arrival of someone special. And then, like a vision materializing from his most fervent dreams, she appeared.
(Y/N) walked into the room, her presence captivating everyone in its wake. His breath caught in his throat as his gaze traveled down her figure, taking in the sight of the black Cinderella-like dress with its delicate red accents. The dress hugged her curves with a grace that left him momentarily speechless.
The red accents seemed to dance like flames against the darkness of the dress, creating an enchanting contrast that mirrored her captivating aura. Her (h/c) hair was elegantly styled, adorned with crimson crystals that caught the light and shimmered like stars in the night sky. The makeup that enhanced her features was a masterpiece, drawing his attention to her mesmerizing eyes and the curve of her lips.
Every step she took seemed to be guided by an otherworldly elegance, as if the very air around her recognized her significance. Demetri's heart swelled with pride as he watched her, a fierce possessiveness welling up within him. She was his mate, a beacon of beauty that had captured his heart and soul from the moment they had met.
Her eyes scanned the room, a mixture of curiosity and wonder reflecting in their depths. It was as if she was seeing the grandeur of the ballroom for the first time, and in a way, he realized, she was. This was her introduction to the world of the Volturi, and he was both honored and anxious to be a part of this pivotal moment in her life.
Demetri's thoughts raced as he continued to watch her. The way she moved, the way she interacted with the other guests—everything about her was a testament to her innate grace and charm. He knew that this was a night she would remember, a night that would etch itself into her memory just as indelibly as it would in his.
As the music swelled and couples began to dance, Demetri found himself unable to tear his gaze away from her. She was the center of attention, the embodiment of the beauty and elegance that the night represented. And in that moment, he knew that he was the luckiest man alive to have her as his mate, to witness her in all her glory as she graced the ballroom with her presence.
Jane's crimson eyes were fixed on the entrance to the ballroom, her usually impassive expression betraying a flicker of anticipation. She had heard the whispers and felt the subtle shift in the atmosphere, signaling the arrival of someone who held a special place in her heart. And then, as if stepping out of a fairy tale, (Y/N) walked into the room.
A rare warmth spread through Jane's chest as she took in the sight before her. The black Cinderella-like dress with its intricate red accents was a striking choice that perfectly complemented (Y/N)'s allure. Jane's lips curved into a small, genuine smile as she recognized the dress as a creation from Marcus's impeccable taste. It seemed that even the reserved Volturi kings could not resist the allure of such an enchanting design.
(Y/N) moved with a grace that demanded attention, her every step exuding confidence and elegance. Jane's gaze lingered on the red accents, noting how they seemed to capture the light and create a luminous effect against the dark fabric. Her (h/c) hair was styled in a way that emphasized her beauty without overpowering it, and the makeup highlighted her delicate features.
The transformation was remarkable, turning (Y/N) into a vision that was hard to ignore. Jane's heart swelled with a mixture of emotions, a potent blend of pride and possessiveness. This was her mate, someone who had captured her heart and whose presence held an undeniable significance in her life.
As (Y/N)'s gaze swept across the room, Jane couldn't help but admire the way her eyes sparkled with curiosity and wonder. She was taking in the grandeur of the ballroom, a place that was undoubtedly foreign to her. Jane felt a desire to protect (Y/N) from the attention and scrutiny that came with being a part of the Volturi, even as she recognized (Y/N)'s inner strength.
The music resonated through the air, couples twirling and dancing to its rhythm. Jane's attention, however, remained solely on (Y/N). She watched as (Y/N) interacted with the other guests, her genuine smile and the ease with which she carried herself drawing people to her like moths to a flame.
In that moment, Jane was overcome with a sense of gratitude. She knew that finding a mate was a rare and precious gift, and having (Y/N) by her side was a privilege she cherished. As the night unfolded, Jane knew that this would be a memory she would hold onto—a memory of the night she watched her mate, resplendent in a black dress with red accents, make her mark in the world of vampires and within the depths of Jane's own heart.
Alec's gaze was unwavering as he stood at the edge of the ballroom, his typically calm demeanor masking the rush of emotions that surged within him. The anticipation in the air was almost palpable, the collective excitement of the guests adding to the electric atmosphere. And then, like a beacon of elegance and beauty, (Y/N) walked into the room.
His breath caught in his throat as his eyes locked onto her figure. The black Cinderella-like dress adorned with delicate red accents clung to her form in a way that seemed almost poetic. Alec's lips curved into a rare, genuine smile as he recognized the elegance of the dress as a creation of Marcus's meticulous design.
(Y/N)'s every movement was a symphony of grace, her steps measured yet exuding a confidence that drew all eyes toward her. Alec's gaze lingered on the red accents that seemed to come alive under the light, casting a mesmerizing glow against the backdrop of the night. Her (h/c) hair, styled with a touch of understated glamour, framed her face in a way that enhanced her natural beauty.
Alec's heart swelled with a mixture of emotions as he watched her. There was a sense of pride that she was his mate, a feeling of possessiveness that he had never experienced before. Her transformation was remarkable, turning her into a vision that was both captivating and enchanting.
(Y/N) turned her head slightly, her eyes scanning the room with a mix of curiosity and wonder. Alec's heart skipped a beat as he imagined what thoughts might be passing through her mind. She was stepping into a world vastly different from her own, and he couldn't help but feel an urge to shield her from the complexities that came with their world.
The music filled the air, couples swaying to its rhythm, but Alec's focus remained solely on (Y/N). He watched as she interacted with others, her genuine smile and engaging presence drawing people to her effortlessly. He admired her strength and warmth, traits that had won him over from the moment they had met.
As the night unfolded, Alec knew that this moment would remain etched in his memory. Watching (Y/N) navigate the intricacies of their world, dressed in the black and red ensemble that mirrored her grace and beauty, was a memory he would treasure forever. She was not only a part of his world but a part of his very soul, and he couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude that fate had brought them together.
Felix's dark eyes remained fixed on the entrance to the ballroom, his usually composed demeanor betraying a subtle restlessness. He had heard the murmurs and sensed the excitement that hung in the air like static, announcing the arrival of a special guest. And then, as if emerging from the depths of his most cherished dreams, (Y/N) stepped into view.
A slow, appreciative smile tugged at the corners of his lips as his gaze traveled over her. The black Cinderella-like dress with its intricate red accents was a masterpiece that held his attention captive. Felix's usually stoic expression softened as he took in every detail—the way the dress clung to her figure, the red accents that seemed to shimmer like embers against the darkness.
(Y/N) moved with a regal grace, each step exuding a confidence that drew the eyes of everyone in the room. Felix's heart swelled with a mixture of pride and possessiveness as he watched her. This was his mate, the person who had captured his heart in a way that he had never thought possible. Her transformation was nothing short of breathtaking, a testament to the care and attention that had been poured into her appearance.
The (h/c) hair that framed her face was styled in a way that highlighted her features, enhancing her natural beauty without overpowering it. Felix's eyes lingered on the delicate details—the crimson crystals that adorned her hair, the makeup that accentuated her eyes and lips in a way that left him entranced.
As (Y/N)'s gaze swept across the room, Felix's heart skipped a beat. He admired the way she carried herself, the ease with which she engaged with the other guests. There was an air of curiosity and wonder in her eyes, as if she was seeing this world through a new lens. And in a way, she was. This was her introduction to the Volturi's grandeur, and Felix was both humbled and anxious to be a part of this pivotal moment in her life.
The music filled the air, couples swaying in time to its melody, but Felix's attention remained solely on (Y/N). He watched as she interacted with others, her presence commanding attention, her genuine smile captivating those around her.
With each passing moment, Felix felt an overwhelming surge of gratitude. This was the mate he had longed for, the one who completed him in ways he hadn't thought possible. As the night unfolded, he couldn't help but marvel at the image of (Y/N) dressed in the black and red ensemble, a representation of her beauty and the depth of their connection. This was a memory he would hold close, a moment in time that encapsulated the beginning of a new chapter in both their lives.
A sense of unity seemed to permeate the air as Alec, Jane, Felix, and Demetri exchanged glances, a silent understanding passing between them. Their posts were important, but this was a moment they couldn't let slip by unnoticed. As if guided by an unspoken agreement, they discreetly left their respective places and converged in a more secluded corner of the ballroom.
Alec's gaze held a soft intensity as he spoke first, his voice low and filled with genuine admiration. "You look breathtaking, (Y/N). The dress, the way you carry yourself—it's truly enchanting."
Jane's crimson eyes held a warmth that was rare for her, her lips curving into a genuine smile. "I must admit, I'm not one for compliments, but tonight you've managed to capture everyone's attention, including mine. You are a vision."
Felix's usually boisterous demeanor was replaced with a subdued reverence. "You've managed to stun even me, and that's saying something. The dress, the way you've carried yourself—it's as if you were made for this moment."
Demetri, who often wore a laid-back smile, looked at (Y/N) with a blend of fondness and pride. "You've brought a different kind of light to this event. It's like you've breathed life into the room, and I have to say, you've made quite the impression."
As (Y/N) listened to their words, her heart swelled with a mixture of happiness and gratitude. To have the attention and affection of these four individuals, each of whom was so integral to the Volturi, was a feeling that she couldn't put into words.
"Thank you," she replied, her voice filled with sincerity. "Your words mean more to me than you'll ever know."
Alec's lips curved into a small smile as he exchanged a look with the others. "We're not ones for public displays of emotion, but tonight is different. Tonight, we want you to know just how much you've enriched our lives."
Jane's gaze held a softness that spoke volumes, and Felix nodded in agreement. Demetri, always one for straightforwardness, offered a warm grin. "You're an exceptional addition to our family, and you've made this night unforgettable."
As they stood together, the Volturi guards and their mate shared a moment that transcended words—a connection forged by shared admiration and affection. And as the music played on, they returned to their respective posts, knowing that this night would forever remain etched in their memories as a testament to their unity and the strength of their bonds.

Demetri’s Newborn
Tumblr media
Being the only newborn in a castle full of century-old vampires was difficult, they all expected me to have the same amount of self-control as them and any sign of aggression was met with a week or a month in the dungeons, in isolation.
I tried to be a good vampire, but it seemed like everything I did angered someone, and I was punished for it. I had contemplated running away, or stepping into the town square, forcing the other guards to kill me but something always stopped me, maybe it wasn’t something, maybe it was someone. Demetri Volturi. He was the one who had plucked me off the streets on my way home from the library where I worked and turned me. Master Aro had been furious when Demetri showed up with me, only a few hours into my new life. Aro had sentenced me to death but with a touch of Demetri’s hand, Aro abandoned that idea, so I was stuck being forced to sink or swim and I was currently drowning.
The stars shined brightly as I sat on the roof of the castle, I had another full day of getting my ass handed to me in training and just wanted to be alone.
“Knew I would find you up here.”
Felix came to sit next to me, he had slowly become a friend, but he never held back during training.
“Am I in trouble again?”
“No. Why would you think that?”
I hung my head, it was embarrassing to talk about my shortcoming with one of the elite guards.
“Because I do nothing right and I just want to die or leave this place. I feel so alone. I have no one that is there for me.”
I felt like I needed to cry but I couldn’t so I just had this lump in my chest as I took deep breaths to calm myself. Felix was quiet as I did my breathing exercises and once I had physically relaxed a little he finally spoke.
“Have you ever asked Demetri why he turned you?”
That question threw me off guard, I had never asked Demetri but I had asked one of the other lower female guards.
“No, but rumor is I was a feeding gone wrong. Demetri was ambushed or something before he could finish me off.”
Standing up Felix offered me his hand to help me up. Once we stood next to each other he put his hand on my shoulder.
“I think you should talk to Demetri. Tell him what you told me.”
Deciding to listen to Felix I left the rooftop and made my way to the elite guard's wing of the castle. Knocking on the big wooden door it took no time before Demetri opened it, he looked shocked to see me at his door but silently stood to the side as I walked in. Once I heard the click on the door close I turned around to face him, speaking up before he could.
“Why did you turn me? I’ve heard rumors that I was a feeding gone wrong, or I am just here as a punching bag for everyone, or it's all just a sick game to torture me for no reason and you will kill me sooner or later.”
I took a deep breath, Demetri wood pine scent filled my nose, calming in a way before I continued as Demetri stood silent watching me.
“I just want to die.”
Demetri looked hurt at my words as he crossed the room, slowly he intertwined our hands.
“I had thought if I gave you space and time to come to terms with your new life it would be better but I see now that what you needed was my support and guidance. Mi amor, I didn’t turn you for any nefarious reasons, I turned you because you are my mate. I am so sorry for how you have suffered and I promise I’ll do better and support you. Will you give this life another try?”
I felt like I was going into shock as I nodded my head in agreement. This was not how I thought the conversation was going to go but I did like the idea of an eternity with Demetri by my side.

demetri's cats:
first of all you should know he has a tortie, two orange idiots, a grey bastard, and a tabby. also he knows each of their personalities so well that he can track them using his gift
the tortie:
Tumblr media
anne
she's one spicy kitty! known for her sass and being highly opioniated, once you're on her bad side you best know she has a vendetta against you (the only exception to date is demetri, who she'd lie and say he's just her can opener if she could talk).
she's also been known to carry out revenge against demetri just for being given the wrong food (she constantly changes her mind about what her favorite flavor is) and when he tried to reverse-psychology her into learning tricks, she spent a whole week holding a grunge against him... until he came back from the market with fresh shrimp for her.
she is by far his favorite, though he'd deny it if you asked. she knows it too! she's even got the bejeweled collar to prove it. plus, she's not even expected to hunt, just sit pretty! (though when she does, she's not afraid to get her murder mittens bloody. demetri just praises her and cleans her right up)
the two orange idiots:
Tumblr media
elagabalus
Tumblr media
caligula
demetri found these two brothers as kittens on a return from a mission. he quickly scooped the pair up from the gutter, soaking from the rain and proceeded to bottle feed them every two hours right on the dot until they could hold down solids.
like most orange cats, these two share one communal brain cell with the rest of the world's population of gingy boiis. they've been known to get stuck in the strangest and highest of places, requiring felix's rescue. however, don't be fooled! these two are menaces prone to mischief (about the only thing felix finds entertaining about them).
unlike anne, these two will eat anything, including plastic, electrical wires, spiders, and the secretary's lunch if left unattended. they're not the brightest, constantly requiring supervision. if these cats were vampires, they'd be the romanians: never capable of getting anything done.
however, there's a few notable distinctions between the two: caligula, in the off chance he has the communal brain cell, is known for his occasional evil genius. a great hider, he'll climb up high where he isn't visible and swipe at the heads of passing vampires, even capable of striking an invisible afton. elagabalus, on the other hand, doesn't even need the communal brain cell to be a true garlfield - he creates a distraction just to make the secretary abandon her desk just so he can gorge himself on their lunch. hey, if it worked once, surely it'll work again, right? (each secretary catches on quickly, but they're replaced so often that this poor boy doesn't know the difference).
the grey bastard:
Tumblr media
shadow
meet demetri's russian blue!
she's the castle's best hunter, single-handedly taking care of the majority of the rodents occupying the castle grounds. demetri found her in a forest as a roughly eight-month-old kitten in the forests of forks right after dealing with the cullens and their newborn fiasco. demetri, ever fond of strays, picked her right up out of the cold and brought her home.
this kitty is aloof and quiet, preferring peace and minimal company. her favorite person is demetri, but felix is a close second and she is known to prefer felix's company (and his room) when demetri has company or gets too extroverted for her tastes. if it weren't for the bell on her collar, no one would know where she is.
while being most loyal to demetri (she follows him around the castle), she is still known for being petty. she's bitten many secretaries ankles just for standing in her way and has even attempted to bite demetri for feeding her one minute past normal dinner time.
while her face is sweet, don't let her fool you. she's snuck into the basement to snack on the bodies of dead meals (demetri insists it was only once and due to her feelings of food insecurity, having previously lived in the wild).
the tabby:
Tumblr media
bandit
oh you thought the orange idiots were mischievous? meet demetri's tabby. no one knows what's wrong with her, but she's definitely got a few screws loose. her strangest habit is staring at you until you get paranoid or angry, then running off once you finally address her.
like all tabbies, she is hyperactive and prone to causing trouble if not given enough stimulation (and no dad demetri, chasing and killing mice is NOT enough). she's also known for staring at things no one else can see, zoomies at all hours, and chasing her own tail like a dog. her favorite toy happens to be hair ties, and a close second is plastic grocery bags.
did you know tabbies are highly intelligent? this is the only cat demetri successfully taught to play fetch. she also knows sit and stay, and is also very good at brain puzzles. despite this, her one failure is her inability to hide/be sleuthy: she will "hide" behind curtains, glass doors, and in tubberware storage boxes thinking you can't see her.

If I were to hypothetically open requests for one shots/imagines for the Volturi, would anyone be interested?
I am a little apprehensive of how well I can write them, but I would like to give it a try. I tend to write on the longer side but wouldn't mind trying out shorter stories. I also... don't know if I want to write straight smut and post it directly to my blog, but I might.
Note: I will not write for Alec or Jane as they are minors, unless it is a platonic mate situation. Edit: I will consider writing for the twins if the AU is they're 16+, and no smut.

(This scene is perfect, that eye movement was everything, I could watch this GIF for hours if I could. But like sir who let you look that good?)
I was sitting in the library with Felix and Demetri just talking about our latest mission that the three of us had recently.
“You know the satisfaction I had when I sunk my teeth into that human, she was such a pain in the ass, and it made it better that her vampire mate was watching, but….. I got to say Felix the amount of times I have seen you rip heads off, it's always more satisfying than the last one”
Felix smirks “Thanks y/n, you know it never gets old either and you are right that human girl was annoying, glad she got what she deserve”
Demetri spoke up “I never understood how a human and a vampire can be mates, it's just how can that be you know, like I feel if they ever had intimacy or something that poor human would be dead in a minute”.
We burst out laughing at his comment, “Dem you never fail to make me laugh”
He shrug his shoulders “What can I say it's a talent”
I roll my eyes at his comment and Felix says “Where’s your mate and Jane, I thought you were going to spend the day with him anyway or something”
I said casually with a hint of sadness“I was suppose to be with him today, but he canceled last minute, he said he had to do something important”
Both guys looked at me and Demetri was the first to talk
“More important than you? y/n that's been like the 10th time he has canceled on you this past month, how in the world are you not pissed at him, when was the last time you two spent quality time together?”
I thought about it for a minute trying to remember but then I realized it's been a very long time, maybe a half a decade already. We haven't even had sex in that time either. I looked at the boys
“Um…maybe a couple of years?”
Their eyes widened at that “A couple of years?” they responded in unison.
I nod hesitantly “I didn't even realize it's been that long, son of a bitch, has he been avoiding me or something?”
Felix shook his head in disapproval “You know that's not fair for you y/n, have you even brought that up to him”
I shook my head “I mean I just….You know your right Felix, this cant be going on like this, maybe I should I give him a piece of my own medicine”
Demetri eyes widen like a child who was given a treat“Oooo I like the sound of that”
I smile slightly but then I sense Alec entering the library which causes me to internally panic. I ignored him sitting next to me and instead I went to the bookshelves and looked for a book to read. In the corner of my eye I see that Alec looks at me with a bit of a confused look but then an idea pops up. My power is being able to move things with my mind but I could also telepathically talk to others. I use my power and send a message to Felix to improvise with the upcoming plan I'm about to do.
“Felix? Can you help me get that book that's up there?”
I look at the mountain of a vampire who is instantly by my side. “Of course cara, which one do you want?”
I could see that Alec’s eyes have narrowed at the sudden interaction “That one called Philosophy of Athens”
Felix nods and reaches over me to grab the book and I just look up into his face when he is reaching up, he looks down to me with a devilish smirk and I just wink in return. I knew Alec will be fuming with anger but he deserves payback. Felix hands me the book and he slightly brushes his lips on my jawline which catches me off guard for a minute but I fake an innocent look at him while he just winks and walks back to his previous spot. I stand there for a minute and I see that Alec has disappeared. I look around the library and Demetri speaks up
“He left after Felix gave you the kiss, you should of seen his face, if looks could kill, Felix would of been six feet under”
I roll my eyes and ask “Should I go after him or…?”
Demetri shakes his head “Y/n you got a reaction out of him, you need to keep going so he is the one that comes up to you, he is the one that has been pushing you aside, now it's your turn”
I nod “Your right Dem, this is the start of a new era”. They both smiled mischievously.
1 week later..
It's been a week since the library incident and Alec still has not come up to me, I know the game I am playing is dangerous. I mean come on he's one of the infamous twins who are the most intimidating and ruthless and yet here I am ignoring and pushing him away. It has been so hard to be this way with him, I love him so much that just being like this is torture, I think I would rather have Jane use her power on me then have to be like this with Alec and that is saying something.
On Alec’s part he still is acting the same, he has not even dared to look me in the eye or even been in the same room as me for long. I also noticed that recently I have been aching for Alec more than usual, I literally want him to be with me again, at this point I would take anything from him even if he just looks at me.
I miss his piercing burgundy eyes that always leave me in a trance or how his jawline tightens when I would brush against him slightly. Even to how he stands so elegantly when we are at our guard meetings with the Kings. Or how his smirk can literally make me feel weak in the knees but I would never give him the satisfaction in telling him the effect his smirk gives me because I know he would tease me for years to come. I miss how we cuddle either in our shared chamber or under the willow tree I am currently laying down, it was our spot that we would spend hours at.
I was so lost in thought I didn't even notice someone was calling my name until someone slightly kicked my foot and I finally sat up and snapped my gaze to the person. It was Jane and she had that emotionless look as usual, she was the one to speak first
“Why are you here alone, I thought you were going to train the newborns with Felix and Demetri?”
I was going to do that today but the guys knew I was not feeling it and noticed I am not in a right mindset so they gave me the day off
“They gave me the day off”
She nods slightly “Still does not answer my question”
I look down defeated “He doesn't want me anymore, he won't even look at me anymore or even leave those little love notes in my favorite books”
There was a silence and I thought she left but she talked again “You think my brother does not want you anymore?”
I nodded and if I could cry I would at that moment “He doesn't even come into our private chambers as often”
There was that tense silence again “Have you spoken to him about this?”
I shook my head “How can I when I don't even know where he is half of the time and he wont even come to me anymore, he keeps canceling our date nights also”
At that point I wanted to shake Jane to get her to tell me anything about Alec, I was that desperate but I used my telekinesis to hold me down so I didn't actually jump her.
She spoke up again “I don't know what is up with my brother, he won't say but I can tell there is something wrong, I would assume you would have an idea because when we part ways i thought he would always go to you”
When she said that my gaze snapped up to her again in shock “So not even you know what is up with him then?”
She shook her head and I said “Jane, if I asked you to do something for me would you do it?”
“Of course, you are my sister-in-law after all, your the second person I genuinely like, first being my brother”
I nod “Can you use your power on me?”
I saw her eyes widen at that and she instantly shook her head “No I will never do that to you, why would you ask such a request from me?”
I let an unnecessary sigh out “I don't feel anything Jane, Alec has been distant for a couple of years already, I can feel that sudden small rip in our bond, it hurts Jane, it really does, and at this point I don't think I can even go on in life without him, even when I spend time with Felix and Demetri, I just fake it so they don't question me to much”
She got down on her knees and what she did next would shock others but not to me, she hugged me tightly. I just let her hug me while I just sat there dully, she soon pulled away and said “Y/n I can't bare to see you like this, I haven't even realized that you and Alec have been like this for so long, I don't want to see the two most important people in my life like this anymore”
I don't respond but nod along mindlessly
“Wait here, I will be back”
She left before I can look at her, I decided to lay down again and closed my eyes as I felt my eyes burn with venom, the thing that sucked of being a vampire is not being able to let real tears out, I just feel this burning sensation in my eyes but I haven't felt like this in centuries already. Alec has always made me feel loved and happy, the way that man with only just a touch has me melting for him or when he did those rare smiles I love so much. If I had a heart it would be beating out of my chest every time we are together.
When me and Alec were told we were mates by Marcus, we absolutely loathe each other, we could barely be in the same room without one of us getting annoyed by the other. It took us a good year until we started to tolerate each other. Soon after that year I started to feel the bond with him, I couldn't stand to be away from him for long and I knew he felt the same way because the minute we were apart he or I would go search for the other.
One day he decided to take me on a walk in the gardens, and as cliche as this might sound he kissed me under the moonlight. The moonlight was literally on us when we were kissing, at that moment me and him accepted each other completely as mates. We were inseparable, we started to share a room together and the Kings were more accepting of me and Alec going on missions together without the fear we might rip each other's throats out.
It felt like we were in wonderland or in cloud 9, when he moved I moved, or when I moved he followed along. We also had a very long honeymoon phase where we couldn't keep our hands to ourselves, every time when we were hanging with the other guards, me and Alec would sneak away and have our intimacy or when we were in the hallways he would give me kisses out of nowhere against the wall, we been caught various times but that didn't stop us from doing it again.
We have been mated for centuries, and not a day goes by that I don't fall in love with him all over again or feel tired of him. He really is my other half but with the lack of Alec in my life it has taken a toll on me, it almost feels like HE is sick and tired of me.
Just that thought could break my non-existent heart, I would end up like Marcus in a way. If Alec were to leave me it's way worse than him being dead. I would still have to see him and be in his presence but not be able to actually be with him.
My mind must have wondered again because I didn't realize a certain someone was sitting next to me. I opened my eyes when I realized it was Alec from the pull of the bond. From that I sat up and he looked right at me, watching me carefully and intensely. He still has that stone face that makes him look so gorgeous, he really is the reincarnation of some Greek god. We stayed quiet watching each other for a while when he finally spoke, hearing his voice again would have made me shiver if I could.
“So you and Felix, huh?”
Even though it feels amazing to hear him talking to me, that question threw me off and made me change moods in an instant.
“Seriously? After months and months of not having full conversations or paying attention to me, you have the audacity of asking a question like that?”
He stayed quiet and I could tell his mind was blank because I couldn't hear his thoughts.
“Why would I ever get with Felix when I have a mate that I love deeply? words cannot describe the love I have for you”
That for sure caught him off guard because he blinked a bit from shock and he spoke up
“Just wanted to hear you say that and get a reaction out of you” and then he winks.
That bastard winked and it was so smooth that I didn't even give what he said a second thought, he left me flabbergasted.
“You really are bipolar, you never fail to surprise me after centuries of being together”
He smiles slightly at my comment
“And you don’t fail to amuse me with your words”
“Don't think with your wink and smile will make me forgive you that easily”
“Forgive me? For what?”
The way he genuinely looked surprises at my accusation really did set my mood off
“Are you really asking me that? Have you not heard what I said earlier or noticed the lack of us?”
I saw his facial expression shift to tense “So I was ignoring you then?”
 “Obviously, do you remember the last time we went on a date?”
He stayed silent and I knew he was trying to remember and at that moment I can also tell everything that what has been happening these past few years was hitting him.
“Too long ago…”
I nodded “And even then when we made plans you would cancel or say you forgot or are to busy”
He looked down in what I could assume was shame.
“Even if we didn't go on dates, you have been avoiding me like the plague, you don't even look at me as much or even hug me, you can't even bare to be in the same room as me for long, it's as if we are back to when we hated each other before accepting each other as mates all over again but worse”
His mind was still blank
“I have been miserable without you, I even asked Jane earlier to use her power on me because I don't even feel anything anymore”
He looked at me with shock “You really asked her to do that? But…”
“I did, but she refused of course”
He nodded “Cara mia, I been so stupid, I never meant to hurt you in anyway”
I looked at him “If you really never meant to hurt me what made you act like this toward me for so long?”
He took an unnecessary breath “I don't know, I felt like these past years I was feeling…..off, I felt like being away from everyone but I didn't even realize its been going on for a while until Jane came up to me and smack me and ordered me to come to you”
 “You could of just came up to me and talked or let me into your mind if you can't form words, I have always been there for you Alec”
He looked at me with remorse and in a soft voice he confessed
“I didn't want to be a burden to you or bring you down with me”
I reached reach for his hand
"Alec you will never be a burden to me, we go together in our darkest or lightest days as we always did in the past, there's no I in us”
He squeezed my hand “I never wanted to make you feel unwanted, I just wanted to figure this out alone but I realize I can't without you”
I nodded, “How could you let so much time go by like that without trying to get help from me or saying anything?”
He shrug his shoulders “We been immortals for so long that time kind of blurs for us in a way but that still does not make up for what I done to you, you are my whole reason for being here, my center and life, mi amore ti amo, I will never to this to you again, and if I do then I give you permission to slap me or something because then I would of broken my promise to you”
“Oh Alec come here” I reached for him and he instantly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his laps to deepen the hug.
Just being in his arms again was the best feeling. I fell in love with him all over again at that moment, he is my reason for being and I would not want it any other way.
A/N: This one was longer than the Felix one (it does not mean I love Felix less 😬) but Its cute. Anyways, Im debating to either do Jasper or Caius next. I have a Jasper one in the drafts but its not that good, I will see who's next.

Enchanted ~ Caius Volturi One-Shot
~~~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N ~ this is probably my favorite piece I’ve ever written and I hope y’all enjoy it 💜 posting off moblie so I apologize for any formatting issues. Also this is dedicated to @felixschokehold and @mell1806-blog who helped hype me up to finally write something lol.
Word count ~ 1122
Summary ~ Your first kiss with Caius 💜
~~~
Caius had caught you walking home alone earlier in the night.
Again.
It had become quite a common occurrence for your roommate to leave you alone while she left different clubs and restaurants with strangers each night.
It did used to hurt your feelings getting left at various places, especially by her. But now you didn’t mind as much as it meant more time with your red-eyed creature who couldn’t seem to stay away from you. Just about every night he would find you, and walk home with you. Caius would gently loop your arm with his and scold you for how dangerous it was for a young woman to be walking alone at night. He never missed a moment to be alone with you, and tonight was no exception.
Sorta.
Demetri and Felix, who he described as his coven mates and in a way business partners were never far from his side. While they had been very polite in the few times you had met and gave you and Caius plenty of space, they honestly scared you more than you wanted to admit. But they were nowhere to be found tonight.
Thankfully.
Although deep down you knew they were close.
But as far as you knew, it was just you and Caius alone as you stepped into your apartment. A first time occurrence for Caius. As you showed him the small space he was quiet throughout, there wasn’t much to show. Two small bedrooms and one bathroom and then the kitchen that was connected to the living room. Caius was more curious about the space you occupied more than anything.
He curiously looked around your room as you got clothes for a needed shower, your voice filled the room as you randomly babbled about your day to him. His eyes scanned your bookshelf, which were mostly fantasy novels mixed in with various college textbooks. He ran his fingers over your unmade bed, along your notebooks filled with various subjects, and finally came back to your side to trace the bottom of your spine to the top. His cold hand made you shiver.
Setting your clothes down you turned around to face his direction. You couldn’t help but smile up at him. Eyes twinkled as you moved your hands to rest on his chest. “I’m really glad you are here,” You whispered to him.
Moving your arms you pulled him into a closer embrace. As his arms followed suit he replied looking down at you. “As am I, Mí Cara, you can learn many things about someone by the way they live. And you, for some reason, I cannot know enough of.”
Being so close to Caius almost made you dizzy. There was no heartbeat as your head rested on his chest. No warmth. Just his natural intoxicating scent. You had never been this close for it to hit you as hard as it is right now. You could stay here forever.
Thoughts of a shower knocked you out of the trance he had you in. You very reluctantly pulled away. “Let me take a shower and you can get to know me as much as you want.”
~~~~~
“It is quite rude to leave your guest waiting for too long.” He sighed, pretending to be annoyed as you sat down beside him. Caius lightly pulled you closer to his side, brushing a stray piece of hair behind your ear, before wrapping his arms around you. His amused smile came back as he looked down at your grinning face.
You couldn’t help but laugh. Time meant nothing to this creature.
“You’ve waited a long time for me, I figured a couple more minutes wouldn’t hurt.” You teased him back; Giggling as you pulled a blanket over yourself, and reaching for your phone to stream music on your TV.
Caius didn’t seem to produce any body heat or even retain heat, a blanket was definitely needed.
“Taylor Swift?” He questioned you. “I am not familiar with her music”
“Really? Never?” You were surprised, especially when he’s mentioned in the past he is a very old creature, with all that age, how could he be oblivious to her music?
“Well we will start out with my favorite song then.” Picking up the phone again, you put on Enchanted.
There I was again tonight
Forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity, shifting eyes and vacancy
Vanished when I saw your face
All I can say is, it was enchanting to meet you
A small sigh escaped you as you cuddled against Caius, letting yourself enjoy the moment. With one hand you grabbed him and intertwined your fingers. They were just as pale as the rest of his body, and just as cold. The longer you gazed at them the more you noticed what seemed to be… bite marks? Scattered all over. You couldn’t help the sudden worry that came over you. Who would hurt Caius like this?
“Those scars are very old and long since healed mía cara.” Caius assured you. His voice lifted your eyes to connect with his. They were a brighter red than when you last saw them. Similar to a flawless Ruby, if they could even compare to his beauty.
“These hands have seen many battles, and will possibly see many more conflicts to come. But I can assure you these hands will never bring harm to you.” He continued, while holding your gaze. His free hand came up to gently stroke your face.
“You have not been scared of my presence the entire time we’ve been in each other’s company, I would like to keep it that way. Which will be more difficult the more you see of me and know of me. Just know Mia Cara, you are one I could never bring harm to. You have my word.” Caius promised you. His red eyes were intense with emotion looking into yours. Those words genuinely came from his heart. It left you speechless.
Speaking of hearts, yours felt like it was going a million miles a minute. You could feel every beat, every rush of blood to different parts of your body. The mix of his words and the close proximity to you had such an effect on you. And he knew.
Caius kept his eyes on yours as he slowly moved in closer. His hand which had been stroking your face, had moved downwards and rested on your neck. Feeling your warm skin and the thud of your heart underneath. His breath was cool and intoxicating as it hit your face. You couldn’t wait any longer.
You closed the gap that separated your lips.
All I know is, I was enchanted to meet you.
The Letter
Felix x Fem!Reader
Summary: A very important letter that holds the fate of your writing career finally arrives, hopefully with good news.
Warnings:
Fluff!!
Word Count: 1k+
Requested?: Yes! I hope you enjoy it @twilightlover2007 and congratulations to you!!
Hello! I'd love to see Felix celebrating his mate becoming a published author.(happening to me within the next 2 months!) 3rd person please and thank you!
A/N: This was so much fine to write!
Tumblr media
The letter shook in her hands. All the hard work she had put in over the last year, everything she had hoped and dreamed of could be right here in her hands. Y/N shivered with excitement, but her nervousness was getting the better of her.
"Darling." Felix rubbed his cool hands up and down her arms soothingly. "You have to open it sometime."
Y/N nodded, grabbed the letter opener from her desk, and went to open it before Felix's hand stopped her.
"Perhaps it is better if I do the actual opening bit. I would rather not have any blood spilled."
She looked up at him with a raised brow. "Babe, it's a letter opener. It's not all that sharp."
"Y/N. You have managed to cut yourself with a butterknife before. Pardon me, but a butterknife is duller than this letter opener."
Y/N swatted his hands away with a glare. "I need to do this myself, Felix. Besides, the butterknife thing was a freak accident."
"Freak accidents are supposed to be rare, darling." Felix grumbled but let her continue, eyeing her warily.
Y/N gave an indignant sniff before slipping the letter opener beneath the fold of the envelope, slicing it open with a quick jerk of her hand, as one would go about ripping off a band-aid. She took a deep breath before finally unfolding the little piece of paper that could, no, would change everything. Her eyes scanned the paper, her heart nearly beating out of her chest.
Felix watched her anxiously. The Volturi had connections, he could have easily pulled a few strings and she would have been published in a heartbeat. But Y/N had refused, nearly insulted that he had even suggested such a thing. She had felt so insulted that she hadn't talked to him for nearly a week. That week had been hell, and Felix had nearly ripped off Demetri's head when he started teasing.
He couldn't stand when Y/N wasn't talking to him. To the point where he had gone to Sulpicia and Athenodora in desperation after the fourth day. It had taken a lot of groveling to get back into Y/N's good graces. A LOT.
Y/N began to shake even harder as her eyes rushed back and forth over the page, her mouth turning up into a grin.
She turned around and practically tackled Felix with a happy shriek.
"It's an offer! They want to publish my book!!"
Felix felt relief flood through him, grabbing her by the waist and swinging her up and around in a happy spin. She laughed in delight.
"I think this calls for a celebration my love." Felix chuckled, pulling her into a hug, her feet still dangling off the ground as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He bent down to nuzzle into her own neck, placing a light kiss on her pulse point. "I am so proud of you, Y/N. I knew you could do it."
Y/N only grinned and hugged him tighter. After a moment he set her down and cupped her face, pulling her for a sweet, lingering kiss. Y/N let out a low moan causing him to chuckle once again.
"Not that kind of celebration, love. At least right now. Maybe later, if you are up for it." He winked at her as she pouted a bit. "Come, let's get you dressed. Heidi already has something laid out for you in your room."
Y/N's eyebrows shot up before squinting at him suspiciously. "Did you-"
"No!" Felix waved his hands back and forth frantically.
He didn't know if he could stand her ignoring him for another week. Well, he had his suspicions that it would be way longer than a week, but he did not want to test that theory.
He cupped her face again, pressing his forehead to hers.
"I just knew you could do it, so I had a little help preparing a celebration for you. Just the two of us."
She clasped one of her hands over his, leaning into it with a happy sigh. She really did love Felix. As terrifying as he appeared to everyone else, he was just a big teddy bear. His faith in her had her in tears and Felix began to panic again.
"Why are you crying? Why are you crying??"
"Relax, love. They are happy tears." She nuzzled into his hand. "Thank you."
Felix's eyebrows furrowed. "Thank you? For what?"
"Believing in me."
"I will always believe in you. Always. Come now, off you go. Get dressed and I will pick you up in thirty minutes, sound good?"
Y/N giggled and stole another quick kiss. "'Kay."
She took off, still giggling and clutching the letter in her hand. Felix grinned watching her go, his non-beating heart swelling up with love and pride. His girl was going to be a published author. Her dreams were finally coming true and he felt honored to be with her and watch it happen.
Tumblr media
Y/N eyed the outfit on her bed as if it might bite her. It was rather… revealing. She wondered if she get away with a different outfit. Maybe Felix didn't know what it looked like. But Heidi did. Would she be willing to chance Heidi's wrath? She tapped her finger against her chin, seriously debating before deciding against it.
Besides, Felix would probably go mad staring at her tonight. She did enjoy torturing him a little now and again. She slipped on the black dress, liking the way it hugged her curves and the way her leg peaked out from the thigh-high slit. Normally she would have considered this fine, had it not been for the plunging neckline that ran down the valley between her breasts, stopping maybe an inch or two below.
Makeup? Done.
Dress? On.
Heels? A little too high, but nonetheless.
Purse? Where was her purse?
Y/N looked back on the bed. Heidi hadn't left a purse with the outfit? Maybe she didn't need one? But Y/N never went anywhere without a purse. Even if it was just a small clutch for the basic necessities. Frowning, she began to dig through her closet. She had a small silver clutch that would match somewhere.
"Looking for this?"
She let out a small shriek, turning around to see Felix holding out a small purse.
"Felix! I could have been naked!"
His eyes wandered up and down her body in an appraising manner, happy with what he was seeing if his smirk was anything to go by. Then he quirked an eyebrow at her.
"As if I have not seen you naked before, love?"
She could feel the fierce blush working itself up from her neck to her cheeks, but held her hand out for her purse, only to be given a box.
"Uhm, Felix?" She looked at him suspiciously. "This is a box."
"I am well aware. I have eyes you know."
Her blush intensified as his eyes traveled up and down her body appreciatively again, a smirk on his lips.
"Open it, love."
Hesitantly, Y/N opened the box, moving aside the tissue paper to reveal a beautiful leather purse. She had to blink back tears again for the second time that day. The purse was fashioned to look like a thick, old-fashioned book with the title of her own book embossed on the cover and spine in gold, along with her name.
"It's beautiful Felix. How- what would you have done had my manuscript been rejected?"
"I told you, I believe in you."
She grinned up at him, standing on the tips of her toes to try and reach his mouth. Even then she barely brushed his shoulders, so she pulled him down to her level by the collar of his shirt. The kiss was soft and sweet, both of them pouring all the love that they felt into it.
Reluctantly Felix pulled away, brushing his nose against hers.
"Put what you need in your purse. We must get going or we will be late."
"Late?"
"Surely you did not think that you would get all dressed up just to receive a purse, did you?"
Y/N proceeded to stash a few things in her new favorite purse, rubbing her thumbs lovingly over the supple leather as she went along.
"Where are we going?" She asked.
"To dinner."
"Dinner?" She perked up in excitement before frowning. "But I will be the only one eating."
"Y/N." Felix put his hands on her arms, thumbs circling over her smooth skin. "I have already taken care of everything, I promise."
Her shoulders relaxed again. "I swear if you have a random human to drain at the table-"
Felix let out a booming laugh and she grinned up at him.
"I would never be so crass, love." He adjusted the hair framing her face. "It does worry me, however, that you are so blasé about my drinking human blood."
Now it was Y/N's turn to raise a brow at him. "I will have to do it fairly soon here myself, so why pitch a fit over it? You are worth more to me than that."
"You never cease to surprise me."
Felix took her hand and led her out of her room. "Hold on to me, love."
He lifted her into his arms before zooming off into the maze that was the castle of Volterra. Y/N squeezed her eyes shut, stomach turning queasy with the walls and paintings blurring past. Finally, they came to a stop outside of a very familiar door that led to a rooftop patio. Felix had taken her here since the beginning when they were first really getting to know each other, although, with all of his missions and her writing, they barely had time to come here over the past year.
Felix sat her down with a grin and opened the door. Beyond, on the patio was a candlelit table set for two. It was a perfect way to celebrate.
After the Confrontation Part Two : Aro's confession to the Guard
After the Confrontation Part Two : Aro's confession to the Guard
This one-shot details how Aro feels about leaving the Cullens on the Field of Snow less than a week later. He, Marcus, and Caius all feel the Guard are entitled to know why the Cullens and their witnesses were left to go home unscathed.
Be sure to read "After the Confrontation" first. This is a mini sequel to that fic.
oooooooooooooooooooo
Once everyone had returned to Italy and their castle home in Volterra, Felix and Demetri had changed from their battle dress, donning more leisurely clothing. They sat in the training room, neither wanting to say anything about the confrontation with the Olympic coven. They were soon joined by Jane and Alec who sat apart from the other two guards. They glanced at each other, but none of the four guards favoured most by Aro spoke.
Finally, Felix broke the silence. "Jane, what do you think of Master Aro's decision?
Jane looked at Felix, unused to being confronted by anyone, her gift terrifying to any vampire. Felix had already felt her power when he had once questioned her orders while they were in Seattle, America.
Before answering the tall guard, Jane looked over at Alec, her hand resting on his. Alec had always been there for her, supporting and praising her. He nodded at her, his fingers curling around his sister's.
Jane gazed at Felix, raising her chin in the air. "We could have easily defeated the Cullens and their witnesses."
"So you think Master Aro made the wrong decision?" Demetri wasn't sure how he felt, but if the battle had been stopped before it had started, there had to be a good reason. Alice Cullen had approached Aro and let him read her. A few minutes later, he had released her hand, his expression strange. What had he seen, Demetri wondered.
"I just wish Aro would tell us something," Felix murmured. "Anything."
One by one, the lower guards had joined their superiors, standing around the room, alone and silent, or in small groups whispering together.
"Maybe Master Aro knew we could defeat the Cullens, but didn't want to destroy his old friend," Afton suggested.
Chelsea reached over and smacked her mate. "Surely, my love, you don't feel Aro would let the law be flouted merely for friendship! Immortal children are too great a risk to our kind."
"What about the spoken rule, we give no second chances," Santiago remarked.
Heidi huffed. "What has the confrontation with the Cullens have to do with that? Master Aro believed them guilty of a crime. When he found out there was no crime, he still expected them to explain the child and any threat she might be. When he found there would be no threat, he let them all go. Master Aro is a man of justice, as the rest of the Volturi should be viewed."
Many of the vampires murmured their agreement with Heidi.
Just then, Caius entered the room, able to hear the guards even from a distance. He knew they were unhappy running out on a fight. Hadn't he been also?
"Aro wishes for everyone to gather in the audience hall in thirty minutes." The blonde vampire felt the guards staring at his back as he left the training room. Aro had ordered him to say nothing more to them.
oooooooooooooooooooo
The guards entered the more modern, larger audience hall that was reserved for such meetings and special affairs. They stood in relation to the circular wall, all facing the dais where the three masters now sat. Aro greeted the guards.
"Welcome, everyone. I have asked you all here to explain my actions on the Field of Snow. I have heard your vocalizations, but I will leave your thoughts to yourselves. I know many of you feel it displayed cowardice to leave the Cullens unpunished, but..." Aro stood from his chair, and stepped down the stairs while holding out his hands. "...had any of them committed a crime?"
Some of the guards were visibly happy to hear they would be left alone. They had feared Master Aro would want to read each one of them, their thoughts being less than complimentary.
"The reason I did not continue any attack on the Cullens is because Alice Cullen showed me a vision of our future if we continued on that path. In that vision, I saw our coven nearly destroyed. Only a handful remained. And I saw not only the final deaths of Masters Marcus and Caius, but myself."
The guards looked shocked at Aro's words. How could this be, they defeated instead of the other way around?
Aro walked up to Jane and Alec. "My dear, you and Alec are like my own children. I not only sired you, but I have watched you both grow in power." He touched her smooth cheek. "Seeing you die in Alice's vision...I could not let that happen for the sake of my pride." He turned to the group of his fellow coven members, his voice raised for effect. "I could not let that happen to any of you."
"Master Aro, how do you know it was not some sort of trick devised by the Cullens. How do you know the vision was real?" Santiago was unaware that in Alice's vision, his final death came from the actions of one of the shapeshifters. Aro had seen that as if he had been there.
Aro replied to his guard's query. If only he had the ability to show them all the horror he had seen. "Santiago, before I myself had been dispatched in the vision, I saw Alec, Demetri, and Jane destroyed in their own fashion. Caius, Marcus and so many others of you killed by the Cullens, their witnesses, and their guard dogs. Not to say you all didn't get your fair share of their side, but does the desire alone to defeat an enemy outweigh the survival of our coven? Caius, you still wanted to fight, feeling insult in the presense of the shape shifters. I could not tell you then how unimportant that had become compared to your impending destruction. We don't always agree, brother, but we serve the Volturi together, and that makes you as important to the coven as myself." He took several steps across the floor, his hands clasped together. "I trust Alice's gift enough to want her to join us. Why would I doubt the veracity of her vision."
Aro remembered the scenes so clearly. It had felt absolutely real, even up to the moment of his own approaching death by fire. When he had been pulled from the vision, he realized it had been only that, but Aro was shaken all the same. He had looked at the Cullens and his own people, still very much alive. But the feeling he had at losing everything remained with him.
"Regardless of what you may think of me, there is no way I will be able to share with you what I saw. It was either accepting your final deaths, or allowing the Cullens to leave in peace, ourselves surviving to return home."
The guards began to murmur among themselves. Perhaps they had judged Master Aro too harshly. It was believe him, or see the ancient vampire as a coward. None of them truly believed that. Aro had led the Volturi for thousands of years. Were they not the creators and enforcers of vampire law? Were they not the strongest coven, and the most feared?
Jane walked over to Aro, and after waiting a half minute, impulsively hugged him. When she pulled away, she looked up at her sire. The two spoke to one another without one word between them, such was their relationship.
Aro reached to brush her chin with his fingers, giving her a light kiss on her lips. He looked around the large room, knowing his people believed him and no longer thought ill of him.
To prove that point, Felix took a few steps toward his leader. "Master Aro, we of the guard respect your decision, now that we know there was a reason we left the Cullens and their witnesses alive. There is no purpose in fighting if you end up losing everything you have."
Aro nodded at his executioner. "Thank you, my friends. You may go now." Aro turned back toward the dais and returned to his chair.
Aro, Marcus, and Caius remained in the audience hall, waiting for the guards to leave. Some looked back at Aro with a new appreciation for the vampire who led them with such resolute determination. They now knew he would do nothing to put any of them at risk as each was integral to the strength of the coven.
When the hall was empty of all except the three Volturi masters, Aro stood and faced his brothers. "I believe they all understood," he said, his expression one of equanimity. His coven was intact. The leadership was secure. Aro was worried about Marcus, however, his one wish now exposed. Marcus had wanted to experience final death. To keep Marcus with the coven, Aro had to sacrifice his beloved sister, Didyme. This action had literally changed Marcus and dulled his desire to live. Aro decided he would have many, many years to make it right for his true brother. Somehow.
Okay! Yay, if you're okay with it and would be willing could you write a one shot about Demetri's mate and they have anxiety and whenever it gets bad they scratch at their arms and then one day they're having an anxiety attack (maybe the reader is in school and is overwhelmed with all their homework?? or maybe there's tons of newborn guards and one tried to hurt the reader?) and Demetri is on guard duty so they have to calm down on their own instead of having him there and they start scratching and draw blood which obviously is noticeable given theres vampires and Demetri comes back to the room and calms them down and stuff?
Of course! Here you go :)
One Shot: Demetri Volturi x Mate with anxiety
TW: Anxiety attacks, self harm (scratching), name-calling, slight physical assault and mentions of bruises.
A/N: It’s been 4 years since the last one shot I wrote, so I’m sorry if it’s not the best.
You slammed your bedroom door behind you as your breathing became more labored and your vision was starting to blur from the tears welling up in your eyes. You had just wanted a book. Demetri was on guard duty and you were bored. You never had a problem wandering around the castle alone, you got along with everyone there despite being the only human- even Caius liked you- but there were a couple of new guards who were only about a week old and they didn’t like you. They thought it was unfair to them that a human could roam freely around the castle and they were confined to one room, and no matter how many times it had been explained to them, they still would throw insults at you whenever you walked by. You never were bothered by it and would usually just brush it off. Today was different though. You were on your way down to the library and while passing the room the newborns were in, you felt a hand grasping your arm. You looked up and saw the black eyes staring down at you. You remembered his name was Trevor, and before you could ask him to let go he yanked you closer before speaking.
  "You know, with Demetri on duty there’s no one around to protect you. Not that you would be protecting anyways. You mean nothing to him. He most likely will end up having you as a little late night snack. You’re just a weak little useless human-”
You flinched as he fell down, screaming in pain. You glanced behind you and saw Jane with her gaze fixed on the floor where Trevor was. You felt the familiar feeling of your heart rate speeding up and the tightening of your chest. You thought about staying there and thanking Jane, but instead you tore off before she could even take a step in your direction. You somehow made it from the bedroom door into the bathroom, as you noticed the floor had gone from a hardwood to a white marble. You leaned against the cabinet behind you and tried to focus on your breathing, but it only seemed to get worse. You felt like the walls were closing in on you. Was Demetri really just going to kill you? Did you mean nothing to him? You didn’t realize you had been scratching at your arm until you saw a few drops of blood fall on the floor. You wanted to stop, you knew you had to, given you were in a castle full of vampires but your body wouldn’t let you. Your mind kept replaying what Trevor had said to you, it was like a broken record. Your vision only got more and more blurred as you continued to cry. You kept scratching, not able to stop yourself until you felt a cool hand on yours causing you to jump a little.
  “Amore? Amore, look at me,” Demetri had his hand wrapped around your scratched up arm. “You’re okay, you’re safe. Can you tell me 3 things you can see right now?” He asked softly.
 "Um, um,” You struggled to even speak, trying to move your arm from his grasp. “I see you, and my towel hanging up on the hook,” You managed to take another breath before continuing. “And the stain on the wall from when I spilled hair dye on it.”
  "Good, good job cara mia,” Demetri leaned forward, placing a kiss on your forehead. “I’m proud of you. Jane told me what happened, darling. I’m sorry I wasn’t there but I can assure you they won’t be bothering you anymore.”
"Do you think I’m just a useless human?” You whispered.
"Absolutely not, amore. You’re not useless at all, you never have been. You are the love of my life and I would do anything for you. What he said wasn’t true and never will be.” He wiped a tear from your cheek. “But baby, we talked about the scratching. I know it’s hard so I don’t expect you to be able to stop instantly and I know there will be times you relapse with it and that’s okay. Just let me know and we’ll fix it and start back at square one, okay? Baby steps."
"I'm sorry, I’m so sorry for getting upset. It's just so hard to calm down sometimes and I find if I scratch enough that eventually the pain brings me back.” You bite your lip and keep your gaze down, trying to avoid eye contact.
You felt him place his fingers under your chin as he gently lifted your face up to make you look at him, you forced yourself to meet his gaze.
  "Never apologize for your emotions. They’re valid, and I’m not mad at all. We’ll find some ways to calm your anxiety down when I’m not around that don’t involve hurting yourself but for now let's get you all cleaned up and then we can watch a movie. Sound good, darling?”
"Can we watch The Lion King?” You had been begging him for weeks to watch it but he kept refusing since he thought the “singing animals” were not normal, as if he wasn’t a literal vampire.
  “I suppose,” He sighed. “If it makes you happy, then I will suffer through singing lions, but I won’t enjoy it.”
  "Don’t be such a Scar.” You tease, walking into the bedroom and jumping onto the bed.
  “Wait, who is Scar?” Demetri asked, following you and laying down beside you . “Is he the bad one?”
 You choose not to answer him and instead wiggle your way into his arms, laying your head on his chest as you press play on the remote.
  "Who’s that singing? Is that one of the lions?” He questioned as the first song began. “Wait, why is the monkey holding the baby lion like that? Is he going to throw him off?”
You roll your eyes, ignoring his questions and finally realizing what Felix meant when he told you watching movies in peace with Demetri is impossible.
Hey really enjoy your writing. I was hoping if you could accept my request. Fem reader is human mate to the volturi kings . She met them while her friends and her where Ghost hunting it was night time and they friend to get in she’s ended up meeting them that way lmao she was 😳
Spooked but intrigued needles to says her life changed that day. She has had a blast getting to know the 3 kings and befriended the guard. She’s was always insecure and sometimes it’s hard to believe she gets to be with amazing people like they have so much knowledge and even been through a lot in life. One day she over heard a new guard talking shit about her. “Why is a human so important to the kings. The probably will just use her and toss her out. She’s so useless and doesn’t do anything. She heard it and got so depressed she locked herself in her room. It got so bad she sorta stoooed eating because she thinks he sorta is right compared to the kings she really does not grasp why they are with her she understands she’s their mate but wishes she could do more.
Cue the kings and the guard being worried /pissed because they can’t see her and got even more worried because she’s not eating and crying all the time. The twins are also mad they investigated and slowly found out how she heard some new guard talking shit. The vampire will now understand the phrases fuck around and find out.
Needless to says the guard is pissed with this vampire and the kings will take care of him soon 😡
But first their b loved need to understand how her work and her perspective as a human is so precious to them and to the her she’s that breath of fresh air that they need she makes their day’s joyful and they can’t see life without her. Marcus s all of them coax and explain how much she means to them. They get very vulnerable with her 🥹🥺
You cans add romance and fluff if you feel comfortable.
Now after reassuring her they take her so she can see them end this fool 😡😈
A trial is done to this stupid guard that dared to do this to their mate it’s not going to be a pretty execution 😈
️👄👁️ this is so long but at the same time 👁️🫦👁️ I like it, therefore enjoy 👁️👅👁️
➘ summary : a stupid ghost hunting trip leads to an unexpected meeting
The full moon cast an eerie glow over the ancient streets of Volterra as (Y/N) and her friends ventured into the heart of the city. Armed with flashlights and a sense of adventure, they were on a ghost hunting expedition like no other. Volterra's rich history and legends of the supernatural had drawn them here, but little did they know, they were about to stumble upon a world beyond their wildest imagination.
The cobblestone streets echoed with the hushed laughter of the group as they meandered through the shadowy alleyways. The atmosphere was charged with a mix of excitement and nervous anticipation. The tall, imposing buildings seemed to watch their every move, and (Y/N)'s heart raced as her flashlight flickered, casting eerie shadows against the ancient stone walls.
As they turned a corner, the distant sound of footsteps caught their attention. A chill ran down (Y/N)'s spine, and her grip on the flashlight tightened. The footsteps grew closer, accompanied by an indistinct murmur that sent shivers down her spine.
"Did you guys hear that?" (Y/N) whispered, her voice barely audible above the hushed whispers of her friends. They nodded, their expressions a mixture of excitement and trepidation.
Their flashlights converged on the source of the sound, revealing three figures emerging from the darkness. Dressed in attire that seemed both elegant and out of place, the strangers exuded an air of authority that demanded attention. Their eyes glowed with an otherworldly intensity, capturing (Y/N)'s gaze and holding it in a vice-like grip.
"Who are you?" one of (Y/N)'s friends stammered, her voice quivering.
"We are the Volturi," the tallest of the strangers replied, his voice smooth and commanding. "And you are trespassing in our domain."
A mixture of fear and fascination washed over (Y/N) as she studied the enigmatic trio. The Volturi - the name resonated within her like a haunting melody, awakening something deep within her soul. Unbidden, her eyes met the piercing gaze of the Volturi king, his crimson irises holding a promise of secrets and mysteries beyond her imagination.
Before anyone could react, the situation took an unexpected turn. A low growl reverberated through the air, followed by the emergence of another figure from the shadows. This newcomer was different from the Volturi, his presence radiating an aura of danger and wildness. His eyes locked onto (Y/N), a mix of curiosity and something more primal flickering in their depths.
"Demetri, Felix, we have guests," the newcomer's voice was a velvet whisper, sending a shiver down (Y/N)'s spine.
The tension in the air was palpable as (Y/N) and her friends found themselves caught in a web of intrigue and danger. The meeting of humans and supernatural beings was fated that night, setting in motion a series of events that would forever alter their lives.
The atmosphere grew electric, the very air around (Y/N) seemed to thrum with a hidden power. She tore her gaze away from the newcomer and back to the enigmatic Volturi kings, who exuded an unsettling mix of authority and intrigue. Questions tumbled in her mind, but the words caught in her throat.
"Forgive our intrusion," one of (Y/N)'s friends managed to stammer, her voice trembling. "We didn't mean any harm."
The tension eased slightly as the Volturi king who had spoken regarded them with an inscrutable expression. "Curiosity often leads mortals to unforeseen encounters," he mused, his tone measured.
"But now that you've seen us, you pose a risk," the newcomer interjected, his voice like velvet edged with steel. "A risk that requires management."
(Y/N)'s heart raced as the implications of his words sank in. What did he mean by "management"? The situation felt precarious, like a fragile balance hanging by a thread.
"We promise, we won't tell anyone about what we've seen," another of (Y/N)'s friends hurriedly assured, her voice quivering.
The Volturi kings exchanged a look that conveyed volumes without a word spoken. It was as if they communicated through an unspoken language that (Y/N) couldn't comprehend. After a tense pause, the leader of the Volturi spoke again, his gaze resting on (Y/N) once more.
"Your words are noted. However, secrecy is not the only matter at hand. There is something... unique about your presence here."
The intensity of the Volturi king's gaze sent shivers down (Y/N)'s spine. She felt like he was peering into her very soul, unraveling the thoughts and emotions she kept hidden even from herself.
"What do you mean?" she managed to whisper, her voice barely audible.
A ghost of a smile touched the corners of his lips, but it did little to ease the unease coiling within her. "Some things are better shown than explained," he said cryptically.
Before anyone could react, a swift movement caught their attention. The newcomer, who had been lurking at the edges of their conversation, now stood in front of (Y/N). His intense gaze bore into her, a mixture of curiosity and something far more primal.
"Would you allow me to show you?" he murmured, his voice like a seductive whisper.
(Y/N)'s heart raced as she met his gaze, her mind torn between fear and a strange attraction she couldn't explain. Her friends exchanged nervous glances, their unspoken concern palpable.
"Show me what?" she asked, her voice wavering slightly.
The newcomer's lips curved into a predatory smile, and a flicker of something unreadable danced in his eyes. "The truth about who we are, and who you are becoming."
As the moon cast an ethereal glow over the ancient streets of Volterra, (Y/N) stood at a crossroads between the mundane world she had known and the enigmatic realm that had suddenly opened before her. Unforeseen encounters had set her on a path of discovery, a journey that would challenge her perceptions and forever intertwine her fate with that of the Volturi kings.
In the days that followed that fateful encounter, (Y/N)'s life took an unexpected turn. Intrigue and curiosity won out over fear, and she found herself agreeing to the newcomer's proposal. What could he possibly show her? It was a question that echoed in her thoughts, driving her to embrace this newfound journey.
As days turned into weeks, (Y/N) discovered a world she had never dreamed of. The Volturi kings, Aro, Caius, and Marcus, each held a presence that was simultaneously awe-inspiring and intimidating. Yet, to her surprise, they welcomed her into their midst with a warmth and hospitality that shattered her preconceived notions.
There was something about their timeless wisdom and the stories they shared that drew her in. Aro's insatiable curiosity, Caius's unwavering determination, and Marcus's melancholic wisdom—each king offered a unique perspective that broadened her horizons.
But it wasn't just the kings who left a lasting impression. The main guards, Felix, Demetri, Jane, and Alec, became her friends. They possessed a camaraderie that was forged through centuries of loyalty and trials. Their stories, filled with both triumphs and heartaches, served as a reminder that even the seemingly immortal beings had faced their share of challenges.
Despite their extraordinary existence, (Y/N) found that they too were grappling with their own vulnerabilities. Jane's fierce determination masked a deeper longing for acceptance, while Alec's quiet demeanor concealed a well of emotions. Demetri's playful banter belied a complex history, and Felix's imposing presence shielded a heart of gold.
As (Y/N) spent time with them, she began to realize that they weren't just powerful beings, but individuals with their own struggles and insecurities. It was a humbling revelation that helped her see herself in a new light. Her initial insecurities, the nagging doubts that she didn't belong, began to fade.
With each passing day, (Y/N) embraced the friendships she had forged. They didn't judge her for her mortal limitations; instead, they celebrated her unique perspective and her willingness to learn. She found herself laughing more, exploring the hidden corners of Volterra with her new companions, and immersing herself in their world.
And through it all, the enigmatic newcomer who had introduced her to this world kept his promise. He showed her the secrets of their existence, revealing the intricate web of alliances, rivalries, and histories that shaped the Volturi's power. (Y/N) listened with rapt attention, her thirst for knowledge deepening as she delved into the labyrinthine tales.
As the weeks turned into months, (Y/N) realized that her life had irrevocably changed. She had transformed from a mere mortal into someone who walked among beings of unparalleled power. But even more importantly, she had found a sense of belonging, a place where her presence was valued and her voice was heard.
The grand halls of the Volturi castle echoed with footsteps, laughter, and murmured conversations. (Y/N) had grown accustomed to the rhythms of this supernatural world, finding comfort in her friendships with the kings and their guards. But one day, as she wandered near a corridor, her steps slowed involuntarily as she overheard a conversation that shattered her newfound sense of belonging.
The voices, though hushed, reached her ears with a clarity that cut like a blade. Her heart hammered in her chest as she recognized the voice of a new guard, someone she hadn't interacted with much. The words he uttered were like poison, seeping into her thoughts.
"Why is a human so important to the kings? They'll probably just use her and toss her out. She's so useless and doesn't do anything."
Those words echoed in her mind, a chorus of doubt that she couldn't escape. As if struck by an unseen force, she retreated from the corridor and fled to her room, her steps heavy with a sadness she couldn't put into words.
Locked away from the world outside, (Y/N) sank onto her bed, her thoughts a tumultuous storm. The echoes of the guard's words reverberated in her mind, amplifying the insecurities she had once managed to overcome. She had believed that she belonged here, that her friendships and connections were genuine. But now, the shadow of doubt loomed over her.
Tears welled in her eyes as she battled the emotions that threatened to engulf her. She had thought she was strong enough to face the skepticism of the outside world, but the venomous words had struck a chord deep within her heart. The weight of her perceived uselessness bore down on her, suffocating her spirit.
Hours passed like a blur as (Y/N) grappled with her emotions in the solitude of her room. The once-familiar space now felt like a prison of her own making. The world outside seemed unreachable, the bonds she had formed now tainted by the poison of doubt.
But just as darkness threatened to consume her completely, a soft knock on her door drew her attention. Tentative at first, then growing more insistent. With a heavy sigh, (Y/N) forced herself to rise from the bed and open the door, revealing the concerned faces of Demetri and Felix.
"(Y/N), are you alright?" Demetri's voice was gentle, his eyes reflecting a genuine worry.
Her voice caught in her throat, and she turned away, unable to meet their gazes. It felt like they could see right through her, past the façade she had constructed.
"(Y/N), you heard that, didn't you?" Felix's voice was quiet, tinged with a sadness she hadn't expected.
Unable to speak, (Y/N) nodded, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. She felt vulnerable, exposed, as if her deepest fears were laid bare for them to see.
Felix stepped forward, his large frame engulfing her in a comforting embrace. "You're not useless, (Y/N). You've brought light into this place, and your friendships are genuine. We've seen it, felt it."
Demetri joined them, his hand resting gently on her shoulder. "We understand that words can hurt, but don't let them define you. You're part of this world because you've earned your place."
Tears spilled down (Y/N)'s cheeks as their words sank in. She realized that she hadn't been alone in her struggle. The friends she had made here saw her worth, even when she couldn't see it herself.
Despite the support of Demetri and Felix, (Y/N)'s mind remained ensnared by the guard's hurtful words. Their reassurances were like a lifeline, but her doubts had taken root, growing stronger with each passing day. The castle that had once felt like a sanctuary now seemed like a place where she didn't belong.
The laughter of the kings and the guards, once a symphony that brought her joy, now felt like a reminder of her perceived inadequacy. She watched them with a heavy heart, wondering why they would choose to be with her, a mere human. In her eyes, they were luminous beings, powerful and wise, while she was fragile and ordinary.
As the days turned into weeks, (Y/N)'s insecurity morphed into something more insidious. She began to withdraw, spending more time in her room, lost in a sea of introspection. The once vibrant glow that surrounded her seemed to dim, and even her interactions with Demetri and Felix felt strained.
The guard's words had taken root deep within her, echoing through her thoughts even as she tried to push them away. Food lost its appeal, and her appetite waned as she contemplated her own worth. She wanted to do more, to contribute something meaningful, but the weight of her perceived uselessness bore down on her, sapping her energy.
Demetri and Felix's concern deepened as they watched her retreat further into herself. They tried to offer solace, to remind her of her place among them, but their words fell on deaf ears. Every reassurance seemed like an empty echo against the overpowering tide of self-doubt.
In the heart of the Volturi castle, a sense of unease hung in the air as Demetri and Felix stood before the three kings. The normally imposing presence of Aro, Caius, and Marcus seemed muted in the face of their guards' obvious distress.
"Demetri, Felix, you both seem troubled. What weighs on your minds?" Aro's voice was laced with a curiosity that never failed to unnerve.
Felix exchanged a look with Demetri, a silent understanding passing between them. With a deep breath, Demetri began to recount the events of the past few weeks—the encounter with the new guard's hurtful words, (Y/N)'s growing isolation, and her plummeting emotional state.
Caius's expression darkened as he listened, his fingers tapping rhythmically against his armrest. "And you say she's confined herself to her room? She's not eating?"
Felix nodded, his voice grim. "Yes, she's been locking herself away, hardly eating, and she seems to be in constant emotional distress. We've tried to reach out to her, but our words don't seem to reach her."
Aro leaned forward, his fingers pressed together in thought. "This is troubling indeed. We were aware of her insecurities, but we had hoped that she would find solace within our company."
Marcus, who had been silent throughout the conversation, finally spoke in his characteristic soft tones. "It appears that the shadow of doubt has taken a firm hold on her. She questions her place among us, her worthiness."
A heavy silence settled in the room as the weight of the situation hung over them. Aro's eyes glinted with a mixture of concern and determination. "We must not let this darkness consume her. We have seen her strength and resilience. It is our duty to remind her of the light she brings into our lives."
Caius's gaze was steely as he spoke. "Felix, Demetri, I want you both to find a way to reach her. Encourage her to open up, to share her thoughts. We cannot allow her to remain trapped in this cycle of despair."
As the guards nodded in agreement, Marcus offered a quiet suggestion. "Perhaps, the presence of the kings themselves might help break through her isolation."
Aro smiled, his expression one of reassurance. "Yes, we shall pay her a visit. Together, we will show her that she is not alone, that her place among us is secure."
With renewed determination, the three kings and their loyal guards set forth on a mission to bring light to (Y/N)'s darkness. The castle's grandeur and power faded in importance as their collective focus centered on the fragile human whose presence had stirred something profound within them.
As twilight settled over the Volturi castle, the air was charged with an unspoken tension. The kings had made their decision, and Alec and Jane, the twins known for their formidable powers, were chosen to investigate the events that had cast a shadow over their domain. The twins moved with an eerie grace, their gazes set with an intent that held an unspoken promise of retribution.
Their path led them to the new guard's quarters, and with a swift motion, Alec opened the door. Jane's crimson eyes bore into the guard, her gaze like a laser that could cut through steel. The guard looked up, caught off guard by their sudden presence.
"Mind if we have a word?" Alec's voice was deceptively calm, but there was a flicker of danger in his eyes.
The guard shifted uncomfortably, his bravado faltering as he sensed the aura of the twins. "What do you want?"
Jane's lips curved into a cold smile, her power radiating from her as she stepped closer. "We heard about your little chat the other night. About (Y/N). Care to elaborate?"
The guard's eyes widened in realization, but he tried to maintain his composure. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Alec's patience wore thin, and his tone hardened. "Don't play games with us. We know exactly what you said. We know about the doubt you sowed in (Y/N)'s mind."
The guard's defiance wavered, and fear crept into his eyes. He stammered, "I... I didn't mean anything by it. I was just venting."
Jane's voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. "Your words have consequences. You underestimated her strength, and now she's suffering because of it."
A tense silence hung in the air as the twins' words hung heavy between them. The guard's mask of arrogance had crumbled, revealing a hint of vulnerability that Alec and Jane took note of.
"We suggest you tread carefully from now on," Alec's voice was a chilling warning. "Because you've just invoked the wrath of the Volturi kings, and they don't take kindly to those who threaten their own."
With that, the twins turned and left the room, leaving the guard to his thoughts. As the door closed behind them, a sense of unease settled over the castle.
Meanwhile, within the chambers of the kings, the atmosphere was fraught with a simmering anger. Alec and Jane's report had ignited a fire within them, and the knowledge of (Y/N)'s suffering had only fueled their determination.
Demetri's eyes darkened with rage as he clenched his fists. "The audacity of that guard to undermine (Y/N)'s place among us. She deserves more respect than that."
Felix's jaw tensed, his expression mirroring the anger of his comrades. "It's clear we need to set an example. We can't allow this kind of behavior to go unpunished."
Aro's lips curved into a dangerous smile, his gaze glinting with a mixture of power and retribution. "It's time to show this guard what it means to cross the Volturi."
The kings and their loyal guards united in their determination. The guard had unwittingly invoked the fury of the most powerful beings in the vampire world. The phrases "fuck around and find out" took on new meaning as they hatched a plan to ensure that the guard understood the gravity of his actions.
In the shadows of the castle, a reckoning was brewing—a reminder that the Volturi did not tolerate threats to those they cherished. The guard's actions had set in motion a chain of events that would shape the fate of all involved.
As the days unfolded, (Y/N)'s sense of isolation began to wane. The support of Demetri and Felix, along with the kings' determination to mend the damage, had chipped away at the fortress of doubt she had built around herself. The light that had dimmed within her began to flicker once more, illuminating the path toward acceptance.
One evening, as the moon cast its silvery glow over the castle, (Y/N) found herself alone in her room. The atmosphere was charged with a mixture of anticipation and unease. The knock on her door signaled the arrival of unexpected visitors.
"(Y/N), may we come in?" Aro's voice was gentle, tinged with an underlying warmth.
Heart racing, (Y/N) opened the door, revealing the three kings standing before her. Their presence was awe-inspiring, yet this time, it didn't fill her with trepidation. Instead, a sense of belonging enveloped her, and she welcomed them with a mixture of gratitude and curiosity.
"Please, come in," she managed to say, her voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions inside her.
As they entered her room, the kings' expressions were a blend of concern and determination. Aro, the one most adept at voicing thoughts, took a step forward. "We want to apologize for any distress you've experienced due to the actions of one of our own."
Caius's gaze was piercing, yet there was a hint of understanding in his eyes. "We should have intervened sooner, defended your place among us."
Marcus's voice was soft, carrying the weight of his centuries of wisdom. "You are not just our mate, (Y/N), but a valued member of our family. Your presence has enriched our lives in ways words cannot convey."
Tears welled in (Y/N)'s eyes as their words sank in. They had come to her, not just to reassure her, but to affirm her worth in their lives. The fortress of doubt she had constructed crumbled, and she felt like she was standing on the precipice of a new understanding.
"I... I don't know what to say," she whispered, her voice catching.
Aro's smile was warm as he approached her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You don't need to say anything. Just know that you are cherished, valued, and loved.”
Caius's voice was a whisper that held an unspoken promise. "And we want to make amends for any pain you've endured."
Marcus's gaze held a quiet intensity. "Which is why we've decided to have a trial for the guard who caused you harm."
(Y/N)'s eyes widened in surprise, a mix of emotions churning within her. "A trial?"
Aro nodded. "Yes, a trial. We want you to be there, to see the consequences of his actions, to understand that the Volturi do not tolerate threats to their family."
Caius's voice was firm. "You will witness his judgment."
Marcus's words held a sense of finality. "And you will know that you are not alone."
Tears streamed down (Y/N)'s cheeks as she met their gazes, her heart overflowing with gratitude and a newfound sense of belonging. In that moment, she understood that her place among them was not just by chance, but by choice.
As the moon bathed the room in its glow, the kings and their mate stood together, bound by a connection that transcended words. In the embrace of their love and support, (Y/N)'s journey of self-discovery continued, her spirit rekindled by the realization that she was an integral part of the world she had come to call home.
Imagine Demetri Volturi reassuring you
Comfort fic cause I don't feel good at all
TW:Mentions of anxiety.
Tumblr media
You have been having a hard week,your self-esteem was so low and your anxiety was consuming you.You avoided all contact with Demetri,claiming to be okay and just needed some space.
It was clear he was worried,and tried to ask you and talk about it,but you just keep pushing him off,giving him death glares if he got closer to you and shouting at him when you felt like he was trying to annoy you.
You have spent all your day hiding in some hallway on the castle,sitting on the floor just thinking about how to handle this by yourself,knowing it wasn't Demetri fault.
You just couldn't control it,every time you saw Heidi she gets on your nerves,even tho she never did nothing wrong to you and just acted friendly.But you despised her,well,you despised how perfect she is, meanwhile you are just an human,with imperfections. Everything about you was wrong,your face,your body,the way you dress or style your hair,you couldn't stand being yourself and the mirror was your biggest enemy.
Demetri knew something was really wrong,more than it seems,when he opened the bathroom door and saw the mirror covered by a blanket, suddenly everything did a click on his mind,running up following your scent,needing to find you,hold you.
You turned your head when someone sit down next to you,his hand placed on your knee,looking at you worried.Your tears started to fall,not able to contain it anymore,your head on his shoulder while he holds you close for hours,finally taking you to your room when you calmed down.
He took you to the bathroom,the blanket was no longer covering the mirror,instead you and him where in front of it,him behind you,his hands on your waist.
"You see this?You see the person who is in front of me?It's the person I love,the most perfect human who can exist,leaving me without words everytime I see how beautiful your body is,how gorgeous you are.Theres nothing imperfect in you,you are the light of my dead heart,making it beat when I see you.You don't know how much it's hurt me seeing you hating yourself,I wish you could look through my eyes and see how pretty you are,making all your insecurities go away,so please,dont push me out,let me help you,I want to do it.I love you too much to see you in pain."
If tears could fall from his eyes, he would be crying,you turn around and hug him,not really knowing how to say everything you were feeling,but one thing was clear,you love him,more than you ever loved anyone.
Can you do Felix with a short, vampire mate that goes on a mission with him and demetri (for the 1st time) because she is very fast and has good combative skills (no gift). Sorry if this has been done before!
Tumblr media
//Sorry it took so long!//
It was supposed to be easy, that's why I had been granted leave to go along with Felix and Demetri, but the reports had been wrong. Demetri had tracked the vampire easily, but we were quickly surrounded by vampires. A newborn army. Fighting our way out was rough, they were separating us, herding us into a trap.
“Y/N!”
Ripping the head off a newborn I looked around but I couldn’t see over the heights of the surrounding vampires. Growling in annoyance I fought my way out of the group, pressing myself against the wall of the abandoned building. I was a good fighter but even I couldn’t fight all of them, looking up I saw an open window. Jumping I grabbed the ledge and slipped out of the window, soundlessly landing on the ground before running, I easily outran the newborns that had given chase.
Once I was sure I was not being followed I stopped, taking in the air I tried to detect anyone but I couldn’t. The protocol stated I go back to Volterra, but I couldn’t leave Felix. He was my mate, my life. Pain started to well up in my chest at the very idea of losing Felix, shaking my head, I started back to the building, prepared to kill them all until I found my mate.
“Y/N!”
Turning around I saw him. My gigantic mate running to me with Demetri next to him. We met in the middle as I threw myself into his arms wrapping my legs around his waist, peppering his face with kisses.
“As much as I love the view. We need to leave. Soon this area will be crawling with newborns.”
Felix gave Demetri a warning growl as he put me down but not taking his hand off me, Felix led the way out of the woods. Walking among the humans of a small town, Felix grabbed the back of my shirt, pulling me into his chest.
“You scared me, little one. I thought I lost you.”
Felix sounded almost in pain, something I understood as I had felt my own panicked pain at the thought of losing him.
“I know. There were too many and I could outrun them so I did. Come on, let's go home. I think we can squeeze into the bath together.”
Felix ghosted his lips over mine, igniting a flame in my belly, one that would have to wait till we were in the safety of our room.
“Race you.”
Pushing off Felix, I ran ahead. Running too fast for the humans to see me.
Outlet- Benjamin x OC
Benjamin x Ramona
Description: The beach has always been an outlet for Ramona, but after a fight with Amun she finds another, better one.
Word Count: 1.9k
A/N: I decided to put out a few fics before I start on yet another full length fic so enjoy!
Tumblr media
If there was one thing Ramona could count on to take her mind off of things, it was the beach. For reasons she couldn’t explain, she just always allowed whatever was bothering her to be swept up by the ever flowing waves of the ocean. She didn’t know if it translated from her old life as she didn’t actually remember much about her life as a human. Either way, it was something she loved to do. It was outlet to her.
Part of her treaty with the wolves of La Push allowed her to surf (something else that she absolutely loved) at night as long as no one was there and she stayed away from the wolves in general. She agreed readily because it meant she had easy access to a beach. She didn’t prefer to wear a wetsuit as she never felt a real temperature difference, so she instead chose to wear a secure bathing suit that wouldn’t come undone when she got wiped out by the roaring waves. That, mixed with the fact that her skin would sparkle in the sun in a way that she couldn’t cover up (even if most of Forks’ residents were rather oblivious), is why she chose to go night surfing.
And that’s exactly what she was doing tonight. Things had been tense for the Cullens after Alice received a vision of the Volturi and Irina coming to kill the Cullens. Apparently Irina had seen Renesmee and mistook her for an immortal child, something that her old coven member Sasha had been killed for. Alice instructed the others to gather as many witnesses as possible to testify that Renesmee was not an immortal child. Then, the next morning she and Jasper were gone to gather evidence.
So they went about summoning witnesses. And they actually managed to find quite a few who would witness for them. One of them was an Egyptian coven, Amun, Kebi, Tia, and Benjamin. It was obvious to anyone that Amun did not want to be there - the fact that he had accused Carlisle of trying to “steal” members of his coven several times over the duration of their stay thus far only solidified that.
But then something happened that no one had expected. Benjamin and Ramona were mates. Amun was even less pleased to learn that as he was worried that Carlisle would use that to his advantage to take Benjamin away from him. Ramona, despite not liking how he was talking to Carlisle, did her best to remain patient. She had been told by Carlisle about how prior to turning Benjamin, he had turned Demetri, who eventually was stolen away by the Volturi. While she didn’t believe that justified the way he talked to Carlisle or the fact that he referred to Benjamin similar to that of an object, she kept her mouth shut.
Unfortunately, it had all come to a head that very night when Amun finally blew up on the Cullens. His rants were normal by this point, so everyone was sort of taking his words with a grain of salt. But this time he said something that upset Ramona.
“You are trying to take Benjamin away from me and you are using this scarlet woman to tempt him away from me!” He exclaimed, pointing an accusatory finger directly at her.
Ramona was incensed by the accusation. Not only had he spoken and behaved rudely to her dear friend, but he had finally turned his anger towards her and insulted her beyond belief. She was normally a patient person, but Amun had finally pushed her buttons to the point of self destruction. She shot up from her seat, ready to lay into him with all the pent up rage she’d felt during his stay, but was held back by Emmett.
“Ramona,” Carlisle called in a warning tone.
The girl’s glare didn’t waver from Amun, who was merely staring at her with mixed emotions on his face. They had a small glare-filled stare down for a few tense seconds before the girl ultimately decided that he wasn’t worth the wrath she would feel from his coven if she killed him where he stood - despite how much she wanted to.
Without another word she broke away from Emmett and stormed out of the house, pushing past Amun in the process as she made a beeline for her jeep. The Cullens (save for Bella and Renesmee) had learned long ago not to question her as they always knew where she was going. So, when she left without saying anything none of them questioned her.
She could hear her tiles squeal in protest as she peeled out of the driveway, heading for La Push. Normally she didn’t drive as it was just quicker to run, but she hadn’t been thinking and it was too late to turn back now. She was surprised she hadn’t gotten pulled over at all with how fast she was going, but she supposed the fates knew that she wasn’t in a good mood.
Upon pulling up to the beach she quickly hopped out, untying her board from the top of her car. The beach was thankfully deserted, though it made sense considering it was nearing midnight and probably too cold for a human to withstand the water without getting sick.
All the better for Ramona. She wasted no time in grabbing her base wax and taking a seat in the sand, beginning to run the bar over and over her longboard.
Even doing that was enough to calm her (even if only a little). Listening to the waves crash against each other and the land had always been a soothing sound for her. Depending on how long it took her to wax her board she may already have calmed down from the serenity of the environment alone. Unfortunately her tranquility was cut short when she became aware of another vampire’s presence behind her.
At first she assumed it was one of the Cullens, but then the distinct and intoxicating mix of musk, frankincense and cinnamon entered her nose and subsequently washed over her like a warm hug or blanket. She knew who was behind her, but she was more surprised that he was here than anything. Benjamin had sort of frozen in shock when Amun made his accusation against Carlisle and Ramona, not doing much other than staring at his creator with his mouth agape as he couldn’t even think of something to say.
She hadn’t even realized he followed her here. But, to be fair, she didn’t exactly pay attention to her surroundings on the drive there. Either way she knew he was there, and he knew that she knew he was there. Yet neither of them spoke as Benjamin made his way over to her, taking a seat beside her. For a moment Ramona had a fleeting thought about how it would take forever to get the sand out of his nice black clothes, but she kept her eyes down. She set her board and wax to the side however, silently telling him that he had her attention if he wished to talk. And he did after a few minutes of staring at the water in front of them.
“Alistair has fled from us,” he informed her softly. “Said he cared too much for Carlisle to switch allegiances for self preservation so he fled instead.” Ramona shouldn’t have been surprised, but she still found herself sighing in disappointment. She thought he was making progress with gaining a glimmer of hope for their cause after seeing Bella training her vampiric powers, but apparently she was wrong.
“I can’t exactly blame him,” she muttered, almost too quiet to hear if she hadn’t been talking to another vampire. Benjamin hesitated before continuing.
“He wishes for us to leave too.” Ramona took note that Benjamin avoided saying Amun’s name in case she got upset again, which she appreciated.
“I wouldn’t blame any of you either,” she responded simply, her eyes refusing to leave her lap. “It’s no small favor that we are asking of you. Maybe Alistair is doing the smart thing, and Amun knows and understands that.” Truth be told, she didn’t want them to leave - she didn’t want him to leave.
“What the rest of my coven decides to do is up to them, but I am not leaving,” he said after a moment of thoughtful silence. That was enough to get Ramona to finally look at him. He was already looking at her, a small smile on his face.
“You…You’re not?” She asked confusedly.
“No,” Benjamin shook his head. “I know that Renesmee is not an immortal child, and I wish to help the people that my mate cares about. Not to mention that I know that you are in the right, and I want to do anything I can to allow that sweet child a nice life.” Ramona just stared at him after he finished speaking then hummed in response.
“You seem surprised,” he noted, almost amusedly.
“I just did not think you would be so willing to part from Amun or the rest of your coven,” she shrugged. “You are his greatest prize.”
“But that is the thing, I am no prize because it is dehumanizing. Granted, we are not human in the first place, but it's still not a good feeling to know that he keeps me around so I may be useful to him as a weapon. You, however, see me for who and what I am. To you, I am not limited to just my powers in the same way that I do not limit you to yours. I know that Amun cares for me like a son in the same way that I view him as a father, but that does not mean he gets to talk to you in such a disrespectful way, and I do not appreciate him treating you poorly. We are mates, bonded for eternity.”
Ramona couldn’t deny that his words brought a fuzzy feeling to her heart. She became overwhelmed with emotions, and without realizing it at first she leaned over and pulled him into a hug. Though initially surprised by the act, Benjamin was quick to return it wholeheartedly as the girl’s nose pressed against the crook of his neck.
“Thank you, Benjamin,” she whispered, knowing he could hear her either way. She couldn’t tell exactly what she was thanking him for, perhaps for staying in their hour of need, or perhaps defending her against his creator. Both were selfless acts done out of love for her and her family, so she supposed it didn’t ultimately matter.
A small smile formed on her lips as her mate began running his fingers through her hair, and she found herself settling into his arms. He leaned back a bit so they were more comfortable, and they just sat there in silence for a while. As she looked out at the ocean in front of her, Ramona found herself relaxing in a way she never had before. Even the beach or surfing couldn’t quite compare to what she felt at that moment. Surprisingly, she didn’t mind it. In fact she was happy that she found a much easier (and convenient) solution. She’d found another outlet. After a while (a.k.a. Almost five hours) they finally decided it was time to head home before the others grew worried - especially Amun. Speaking of which, Ramona wasn’t surprised to see that he, Kebi and Tia were still there. She was surprised when Amun begrudgingly informed her that they would be staying to testify against the Volturi. It seemed that he and Carlisle had also made up so things were okay once again.
