Accidentally in Love Alec Volturi
Tumblr media
How we have not gotten caught yet was a mystery to me but I was grateful for it. I knew my sister, Bella, would never approve of it and she would get the Cullens to try and force me to stop seeing him. At first, it was just me acting out and him willing to go along and I don’t know when it changed, but it did. Lingering touches, soft kisses, it was no longer just sex, it was now sex with feelings. Even then I didn’t take it seriously, I didn’t know the gravity of the situation, of what having a vampire fall in love with you meant.
Not until some guy from school brought me flowers, it was a sweet gesture but not one I reciprocated but that wasn’t enough. The poor boy never made it home and was declared missing, the body was never found.
I hadn’t connected the dots, not even when the Cullens had pulled away or when Edward started to shield Bella from me like I was a danger to her.
I had been left home alone, Bella was with the Cullens fighting some newborn vampire army and Charlie was off on a fishing trip. I had spent most of the day laying on the couch watching reruns of some shitty show when I heard movement coming from upstairs. I debated not going to look but my curiosity won and I made my way up the stairs and to my bedroom door. Pushing the door open I was met with 4 figures dressed in black moving around my room, throwing my clothes and books into suitcases. Three of the four people ignored me as the fourth gently took my hand and pulled me from the room.
“Mi amor. I missed you.”
“W-what’s going on, Alec?”
“Sweetcheeks. I’ve come to bring you home. I’m tired of the sneaking around, of not having you at my side. Aro has granted you a special privilege, he will allow me to turn you and allow you to remain in Volterra with me during your newborn years.”
My mouth was dry, this was serious.
“I-I don’t understand. Why me? I thought we were just fooling around.”
Alec seemed hurt by my comment.
“In the beginning maybe, but now, sweetcheeks. You are my mate, I ache for you when we are apart and when we are near, my love, you make me feel things I have never felt before, things I never thought I could feel.”
I tried to pull away, to try and gather my scattered thoughts but Alec wasn’t having it as he took me in his arms.
“My love, my life. Please, don’t run from me now. I’ve staked not only my reputation on you but that of my sisters as well. I love you, and I will never stop loving you.”
My mind was having trouble keeping up with what he was saying, and a small part of me was even doubting him, but it was all squashed under the thoughts of all the times we shared kisses and all the times he was gentle and affectionate with me, all the sweet nothings he whispered in my ear as he took me in bed. I knew I was willing to risk it, I was willing to risk it all for the chance at a forever with him.
“I will go with you. I want to go with you.”
Alec seemed to gain some of his confidence back as he smiled at me before kissing me with such passion, putting all his love into it.

DayDreaming ~ Alec Volturi One-Shot
~~~
Tumblr media
A/N ~ Angst normally isn't my bag but this has been floating around my head for a while. Hope you all enjoy this little blurb :) I apologize in advance for the spacing and the grammar.
~~~
The sun had begun setting over the rolling Volterra hills, easing the heat that beat down on the city and the people that recided in it.
As if the tourists were following the sun, the road out of the ancient city was quickly filled with cars and tour busses. As the sun died so did the festives that drew people in every couple months.
Your back was pressed against the stone wall that wrapped around Volterra, keeping you cool as you watched the many people leave the city. A look of longing etched into your face as the vehicles grew further into the distance. You had day dreamed for many months to be in one of those cars. To just be a normal human on vacation, enjoying the beauty of a new city. Only leaving with a sunburn and an full stomach.
But that was just a day dream. One you would keep forever, close to your heart. Because you could never leave.
Movement out of the corner of your eye broke you out of your thoughts. Turning your head was a familiar black form sitting soundlessly beside you. A right hand slipped off his hood reveling the immortal who had kidnapped you to this city.
Alec.
"This is a very unexpected place to find you darling."
Keeping your eyes in the distance you pulled your knees to chest without a response.
"You had me very worried. Normally you stay within the walls." Alec's voice was gentle, but laced with worry. His finger tips gently caressed your shoulder, moving up to brush against your cheek. You flinched at his touch.
Alec truly cared for you and very much wanted you to be happy. Even if the situation at hand makes that difficult for the both of you. He knew you would never forgive him for stealing you from your home and family.
Tears prickled at your eyes as you thought of a response. Your mouth opening for a small moment before closing again. Alec didn't care he was hurting you now. Trapping you in this city you could never get away from.
"I just... needed some space... away from everything." Your voice began to crack. "I'm sorry for worrying you."
You waited for his response, but Alec never gave one. He mearly kept it gaze on you, trying to desphier the thoughts you often kept hidden from him.
You turned to face him, scooting closer to him, you reluctantly setyour warm hand on top of his. "I know you want to stay here with me. But I'd like to stay out here a little while longer.... alone."
"Please?" You asked softly, letting a few tears fall as you looked into his red eyes.
Tears were one way you've learned for Alec to give into you... on small matters of course. It used to cause you guilt, manipulating a vampire who just desperately wanted his mate to love him back. But after today, there was no guilt left to feel. He loved you, yes. But he would never let you leave, no matter how much he knew it was your deepest desire to go home. If he felt no remorse then neither would you.
Alec gazed at you for a second, the emotions in his eyes unreadable as he stood up and nodded. After placing a small kiss on top of your head, you were left alone again. For now.
You leaned back against the wall, settling your gaze on the road once more. Slipping back into your daydream that had been interrupted.

The grand entrance hall of Volterra, Italy, echoed with the weight of centuries-old secrets and power. It was within these ancient stone walls that the Volturi, the ruling vampire coven, held their dominion. Aro, Caius, and Marcus, the three elder vampires who led the coven, sat upon their thrones, their crimson eyes filled with an ageless wisdom.
Their previous secretary had met an unfortunate end, her fate sealed by a single, costly mistake. Now, it was time to find a new secretary, one who could handle the delicate matters that crossed the Volturi's path.
(Y/n), a human with a reputation for competence and diligence, stood before the Volturi leaders. She pushed her glasses up on her face, the light catching the lenses and reflecting an intense determination in her gaze. She had no intention of failing in this prestigious role.
Aro, the most talkative of the trio, addressed her with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "I trust you won't follow in our previous secretary's footsteps. Her errors cost her dearly."
(Y/n) met Aro's gaze with unwavering confidence. "No need for the warning, sir. I take my work very seriously. I'm here to ensure that every detail is meticulously attended to."
Caius observed her with a critical eye, his expression stern. "You are aware that our affairs are highly confidential, and discretion is of the utmost importance?"
(Y/n) nodded, her resolve unshaken. "Absolutely, sir. My lips are sealed, and I understand the consequences of breaching that trust."
Marcus, the most reserved of the three, merely regarded her with a measured gaze. "We shall see if your actions align with your words."
(Y/n) straightened her posture, ready to take on her new responsibilities. "You won't be disappointed, gentlemen."
With that, she accepted the role of secretary for the Volturi, stepping into a world of secrecy, power, and ancient vampires. As she walked away, she knew that she had taken on a role unlike any other, one that demanded her utmost dedication and discretion. The reflection of her determination in those glasses was a symbol of the resolve she brought to her new position, one that she intended to uphold at all costs.
(Y/n) settled into her new role as the secretary for the Volturi with a fierce dedication. Her efficiency and attention to detail quickly became apparent to the coven's leaders. Aro, always one to appreciate those who could fulfill his demands promptly, decided to put her to the test.
One afternoon, he strolled into her office, his graceful presence demanding attention. (Y/n) looked up from her desk, her fingers flying across the keyboard of her computer as she organized files and scheduled appointments.
"Ah, (Y/n)," Aro greeted her with his customary smile. "I have a task for you."
(Y/n) nodded, ready to take on any request from her employer. "Of course, master Aro. What do you need?"
Aro explained, "I need you to post an aid about a tour for fifty people for tomorrows feeding, a rather impromptu event. I would like you to schedule it for me.”
(Y/n) didn't miss a beat. She continued typing on her computer, her eyes darting across the screen as she worked her magic with scheduling software. "Consider it done, master Aro."
Aro was taken aback by her speed and efficiency. He had expected this task to take some time, but within mere minutes, (Y/n) turned her screen toward him, displaying a perfectly organized tour for fifty attendees, complete with dates, times, and an itinerary.
His crimson eyes widened with a mixture of surprise and admiration. "You work remarkably fast, (Y/n)."
(Y/n) looked up with a confident smile. "I pride myself on being efficient, master aro. Is there anything else you need?"
Aro chuckled, clearly impressed. "Not at the moment, my dear. Carry on with your excellent work."
As he left her office, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. She had proven her worth to the Volturi leader, and her efficiency would undoubtedly serve her well in this world of secrecy and power.
In the serene garden of the Volturi castle, Marcus often found solace among the flowers that his late mate had once lovingly tended to. He wandered the garden, lost in his own thoughts, the weight of his immortal life bearing down on him.
One day, as he strolled along the carefully manicured paths, Marcus noticed something extraordinary. The flowers that had once withered away had begun to regrow, vibrant and beautiful as if brought back to life by some unseen force. He couldn't help but be struck by the sight, the memories of his mate's love for these flowers flooding his mind.
Marcus approached a lower guard who was on duty nearby, his curiosity piqued. "Who has been taking care of the garden? These flowers, they are flourishing once more."
The lower guard, a vampire who had served the Volturi for centuries, nodded respectfully to Marcus. "It is the human, my lord."
"The human?" Marcus asked, intrigued. "What is their name?"
The guard, who knew the human by the name the Volturi called her, replied, "The secretary (Y/n), my lord."
Marcus considered this revelation, the name sparking a distant memory. He had heard the name (Y/n) mentioned in passing, but he had paid little attention. Now, it seemed this human was not only tending to the garden but also reviving the memories of his lost mate.
With a nod of appreciation, Marcus continued to admire the blooming flowers, a silent acknowledgment of the human named (Y/n) for her care and dedication. In the garden, among the resurrected blooms, he felt a connection to his past and a glimmer of hope for the future, all thanks to the efforts of this mysterious human.
In the dimly lit halls of the Volturi castle, Caius, one of the coven's leaders, was growing increasingly frustrated. He had been searching for his favorite cloak, a luxurious garment of deep crimson, for what felt like an eternity. His irritation had escalated to the point where his voice echoed through the corridors as he yelled at everyone in his path.
"Where is it? Who has taken my cloak?" he bellowed, his tone venomous.
Vampires scurried to avoid his wrath, their wide-eyed expressions betraying their fear of their temperamental leader.
In the midst of the chaos, a soft and calm voice cut through the tension. "(Y/n)," Caius snapped, his crimson eyes narrowing as he turned to face the human secretary, "(Y/n), have you seen my cloak? I cannot find it anywhere."
(Y/n) stepped forward, holding Caius's missing cloak draped carefully over her arm. Her voice was composed, unruffled by his outburst. "Master Caius, you left this in your office. I've noticed it had specks of dried blood on it, so I've had it dried clean."
Caius was momentarily taken aback, his anger dissipating as he processed her words. He couldn't believe it. The usually distant and indifferent human secretary had not only found his cloak but had taken it upon herself to ensure it was cleaned.
"(Y/n)," Caius said, his voice softer now, "you did this for me?"
(Y/n) nodded, her gaze steady as she met his crimson eyes. "Of course, Master Caius. It's my duty to assist in any way I can."
Caius, still in disbelief, reached out to take the cloak from her arm. His fingers brushed against hers, and he felt a strange, unfamiliar sensation stir within him. He couldn't deny that her thoughtfulness had left a mark on him, one that he couldn't easily dismiss.
As (Y/n) excused herself and left the hallway, Caius watched her retreating figure with a newfound appreciation. It was a small gesture, but one that had touched him deeply, and he couldn't help but wonder if there was more to this human secretary than met the eye.
The grand trial room within the Volturi castle was filled with a weighty silence as the three kings, Aro, Caius, and Marcus, gathered for a discussion. The subject of their conversation was none other than their human secretary, (Y/n).
"She's good at her job, almost too damn good," Aro commented, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. "I can't seem to find a simple mistake in her work."
Caius nodded in agreement. "She's quick, and her work is effective. It seems we'll be keeping her around long-term."
Marcus, who often remained silent, offered his approval with a subtle nod.
The kings reached a unanimous decision. They would offer (Y/n) a gift, one that would bind her to the Volturi for eternity. They sent their most trusted enforcers, the twins Alec and Jane, to fetch her.
Alec and Jane, swift and efficient as always, found (Y/n) in her office. They approached her with the precision of a well-practiced routine.
"(Y/n)," Alec began, his tone even, "the masters request your presence in the trial room."
(Y/n) blinked in surprise but complied, following the twins to the room where the three kings awaited.
Once inside, (Y/n) stood before the Volturi leaders, her heart pounding with anticipation. Aro spoke first, his voice dripping with charm.
"(Y/n), in the short months you have been with us, your dedication and efficiency have impressed us greatly," Aro said, his crimson eyes locked onto hers. "We value your contributions, and we would like to offer you a gift."
(Y/n) couldn't hide her surprise. "A gift, masters?"
Caius stepped forward, his gaze unwavering. "We offer you immortality, (Y/n). A chance to join our coven as one of us."
The offer hung in the air, a life-altering decision that (Y/n) had never expected. She considered her options carefully, her thoughts racing. The weight of eternity was a heavy burden to bear, but the allure of becoming part of the Volturi coven was undeniable.
After a moment of reflection, (Y/n) finally spoke. "I'm not sure what to say, masters, but thank you for the offer."
With her acceptance, the kings nodded in approval. The twins, Alec and Jane, moved closer, their hands lightly touching her body. “Alec -“ aro calls out and in second Alec has (y/n) wrapped in his dark smoke, her senses numbing within seconds. “Don’t worry dear, it’ll be over in no time.”
Over the course of three days, (Y/n) underwent the agonizing process of the vampire transformation. She endured the fire of change, sometimes which were numbed by Alec per the kings request and now she was emerging from the ordeal as a newborn vampire, her senses heightened and her existence forever entwined with the Volturi.
As her eyes fluttered open in her new immortal life, (Y/n) realized that she had become a permanent part of the Volturi coven, her loyalty and dedication recognized in the most profound way possible.

Healing in Time
Demetri Volturi x reader
Summary: Demetri driving his mate to therapy, as he expresses how proud he is of them for healing.
A/N: I’m back… I wrote a comfort fic as I’ve been away dealing with things so yay I’ve returned!! I wrote this in first person which is different than my other fics. I apologize !!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There I was, sitting in Demetri’s car. It was raining that day. The clouds covered the beautiful sky, yet it somehow made the world look poetic every time it would rain. It was slightly colder outside, it made the leather of Demetri’s seats feel colder against my skin through my hoodie. It was that time of the week again, where I had therapy. I looked over to see Demetri’s eyes focused on the road navigating through the rain. He always had the most beautiful concentrated face. His eyes were narrow, he clenched his jaw at every red light with his lips slightly pursed. I knew he always hated waiting. He was wearing blue contacts with a tight black t-shirt paired with black jeans and his Trenchcoat. His free hand held mine tightly as he ran his thumb across my knuckles. It’s amazing how he was always so good at instantly calming my nerves. There was nowhere I wanted to be other than in his arms, I felt the safest when he was holding me. I always wanted to be near him, and I knew the mate bond made it painful to be away from him, but I could never stop myself from needing him around. He was my protector, my sunshine.
“So darling, I know you’ve been going for around six months now, but I’m really proud of you. You’re so strong, you know that? It takes courage to do this… Hell I never would.” He said in that low accent of his, but he mumbled the last part and let out a soft sigh as he parked and wrapped his arms around me for a second. “I know it works for you, and I’m proud of you for getting better, I love you so much. You know I’m here for you through your healing process, okay? You’re even moving in the castle with me.” He said with a soft smile forming on his perfect lips. He brought his cold hand up to my cheek and softly as he stroked it. “I love you too Metri… and I know you are. You know how much I appreciate you, it’s more than life. You rescued me. You saved me, and I know I’m safe with you.” I whispered, as I couldn’t help feeling the tears begin to well into my eyes. He was proud of me, god I haven’t heard those words in so long. I felt his thumb run across my cheek wiping away the tears as I sniffed “I’ve got you. Forever.” He whispered back as he pressed a soft kiss to my head “I’ll be right here for when you get out of therapy, it’s just an hour, I’ll be here.” He says with a soft smile taking off his jacket to give to me. I slipped it across my shoulders, and for him being cold, it felt quite warm. It smelled like his cologne and that was more than comforting, it felt like I had him there with me.
I gave him one last smile as I said “I can do this! I-I got this!” I exclaim with a nod. With that, I stepped out of his car into the dreary weather and headed into the building.

I found this writing of mine from February, inspired by this post. Of course, this is an AU where Twilight vampires sleep. You can find this on AO3 as well!
PLEASE DO NOT REPOST MY WORK.
You had woken up hours before him and were thankful your room was facing East. You loved watching the sun rise as your mate, Felix, slept.
His mild snores were the only sound in the room as the sun shone through the large window. When the angle was just right, his skin and the sun would create the most beautiful prisms of rainbows and light that would slowly dance across the room as the sun traveled through the sky.
You sat up against the headboard, taking in the sight of Felix’s large, muscular arms wrapped around his mound of pillows. He enjoyed sleeping on his stomach, and you could see the muscles in his back contract whenever he shifted in his sleep. His black hair stuck out every which way and you couldn’t help but to reach out and run your hand through it.
Felix inhaled deeply, his dark ruby eyes fluttering awake at your touch. When he saw you he smiled into his pillows and yawned. “Good morning, my love.” He murmured sleepily. He grabbed his pillows and threw them to the foot of the bed and crawled to you. “My dreams missed you.” He buried his face in your lap and wrapped his arms around you. A small grumble left his mouth as he briefly stretched before relaxing onto you.
“I’m sorry,” you frowned, petting his soft hair with one hand and rubbing his smooth, firm shoulders with the other hand. “I didn’t mean to wake you, my sweet.”
He smiled and nuzzled his face against you, peeking up with one eye. “I have woken up to you every day for over a hundred years, agapi mou.” You smiled, loving when he slipped into his native Greek. “And I will wake to you for thousands more. It will never be enough.”
You couldn’t help but to smile, feeling your chest swell with love. “I love you, my Felix.” You sighed, still petting his hair. “You will never know how much.” You hugged him close for a brief moment before he moved.
Felix rolled onto his back, rubbing an eye with one hand, the other still under your legs. “Come, let me hold you.” He turned his head to look at you expectantly. He waved his hand for you to hurry, flashing you a charming smile.
You wrinkled your nose at him playfully. “I wasn’t done holding you yet.” You pushed yourself away from the headboard and crawled to him, nestling yourself under his arm, resting your head on his chest.
“Well, you got to watch me wake up this morning, so I think it is only fair for me to hold you. An honest trade, isn’t it?” He planted a soft kiss on the top of your head.
“Hm.” You hummed softly, nuzzling your face against his chest. “I guess.” You teased, smiling wide.
Felix began to quietly sing his ancient Greek lullabies to you, his long fingers gently playing with your hair. He did this every time you woke earlier than him. He knew it would put you right back to sleep so he could have his own turn to watch you sleep and later wake up, groggy and smiling up at him.
You did not fight the feeling when sleep began to blanket your consciousness, smiling softly knowing you would have the privilege to wake up to him.

In Another Life (Twilight x Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You had went to the bank in hopes of answers. You woke up in the hospital and narrowly escaped- with the report on you- which had an address you didn’t recognise. Therefore you got a change of clothes, your stuff and fled. "Your name is down as the person of residency but in terms of ownership, that is to your sponsor." The lady said flatly. "Sponsor?" You repeated. "Yes." She replied before looking at you. She noticed your distress. "Honey, is it time to make the call?" "Call?" You asked incredulously. "Your sponsor has made precautions for this." "Who is this sponsor you speak of!?" You cried out. The woman looked at you with surprise. Shaken you quickly contained yourself. "I'm sorry, I...I had an accident and the hospital said I have amnesia. This all just... I'm confused." You said shakily. Whilst the accident was made up, amnesia was possible and even more so the confusion was very real. The woman looked at you and seemed to feel pity. She sighed. "It's not protocol to do this but it seems like you would need it." She said quietly before typing on her computer, clicking her pen and scribbling down some information. "I'm giving you your address." She said quietly and a cash withdrawal of thirty dollars. I cannot give his name but I can give you where to find him. He works in Forks Hospital, his name is Dr Cullen. Dr Carlisle Cullen." She looked up at you slightly uneasy and pleading. "I'm really going out of my way for this. If you are asked. It didn't come from me." You nodded.
The first place you went was back home. You weren’t surprised given the situation at the bank but it made you wonder how long it had truly been. The unpaid bills told you that you hadn’t been around for a while, as well as the power being shut off to the house and the layers of dust. However now that you knew where to find this sponsor it didn't take long before you decided to go to Forks Hospital.
Dr Cullen looked very young- mid twenties. He either came from a rich family or he was a wonder kid growing up. He seemed a little young to be so far ahead in his profession. However he seemed to know you whilst you had no memory of him. "(Y/N)-" You cut him off. "How do you know my name?" You said quickly. "I can't explain right now." Carlisle said hurriedly. "You better. I need answers." You retorted. "You're my sponsor? What does that even mean?" "We can't discuss this here...come with me to my house and everything will become clear."
Usually under any other circumstances, you wouldn't go anywhere with someone you don't know, especially to their house. Or at least that's what you thought. Truth be told, you didn't really know if you would. You couldn't recall a situation similar...or different for that matter. You were fairly certain you had found yourself involved with the wrong people. Carlisle had told you that he along with others are vampires and that another group of these so called vampires wanted to meet you. That left more questions than answers and by two days had passed, you were faced with the shock that all of this was not a dream. It was very very real.  They looked at you. The beings with red and gold eyes. You couldn't bring yourself to be afraid of the supposed vampires. You weren't certain if they were real or not.
"How is this possible?" Caius asked the room. Aro looked to his friend, Carlisle. Only Carlisle could give a response. The best response he could give. He leaned against the fireplace, arms crossed over his chest. He straightened. "Scientific breakthroughs happen all the time. In medicine, every rule and regulation dealing with human was discovered with breakthroughs. You need to scrub in so that bacteria doesn't get in the patient before surgery. People have medical conditions that we'd have thrown them into asylums for. Yet now they live among us, managing those conditions. You have a cold and you take a couple of pills and recover in a few days. That same cold was deadly when most of us were human. Humans just seemed to create an imprint on it to remember the illness. An immune system. There are conditions that make no sense. Foreign accent syndrome. Someone from Forks could fall and hit their head and for some strange reason, when they wake, they have a speech impediment that sounds like a foreign accent such as a British accent. Some humans, sit up and walk around completely asleep and talk. None of this was understood in eras before. Some considered impossible. Some would laugh at the idea of germ theory if they could see it today. Some would consider the act of the devil." Carlisle looked around the room. "We are among them. We are not explainable. There is no knowledge of how we, vampires, came to be. Yet here we are. We are considered an impossibility yet here we stand and so I can't help but think that there is no reason at all. Just as there are medically unexplained symptoms, there are vampires and now we know that there is a human who does not stay dead. Breakthroughs. So I am fully with you. This sounds absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely impossible. However, I have said the same many times before." "Really?" Bella asked. Carlisle nodded as Caius made a noise at the seemingly stupid question. "I wouldn't have believed you, Bella, if you had told me one hundred years ago that there is a condition that has a patient looking at their own arm and is determined it's not theirs. So much so that they want it removed. Here we are. I've come to believe in this life that very few things are impossible." He replied to her. "We've had them with us before.” Aro finally spoke. “Someone who got us our sustenance. You have too?" Aro asked. Carlisle nodded."My assistant in the 1700's." "Will we back-track them?" Caius asked and Carlisle shook his head making him frown. "They have no memory each time. We couldn't find a clear trail unless we draw attention to ourselves. If we notice, there is a chance the humans will notice that there is a human who looks the same with the same name prior." Marcus rose to a stand. "Perhaps there is no need to fear where they have been." Marcus said quietly. "It seems unnecessary."   Listening to all of this, you finally sighed with exasperation. "For the love of- will someone please tell me what's going on!?" You snapped with exasperation. Carlisle sighed deeply. "I know you." He began. "I know who you are. I know the truth." Fear remained upon your face as confusion grew. "What?" "I've known you longer than you know. I met you before I had in the hospital. You just didn't remember me." Carlisle explained. "Carlisle, what are you talking about?" You asked as a tear ran down your face. "I met you in 1775." Carlisle said hurriedly making you stiffen. "It was in the American Revolution. I was a doctor in the war zone and you were a nurse. You, Hilde and myself. That was when I met Garrett. That's how Garrett knew you. He had met you before." "Carlisle, do you hear yourself?" You said through tears. "I couldn't have been alive in 1775." "Then answer one simple question. Forget that many in this room know you and answer this one simple question. What year were you born?" You inhaled, opening your mouth to answer but suddenly paused. The vampires around the room watched you, waiting for your answer. As time went on, you grew frustrated at your inability to remember something so simple. "H-How is that possible?" You asked shakily. Carlisle shook his head. "I don't know." He said softly, taking a step forward. "I've been trying to understand that answer myself but all I know is that this isn't your first life, (Y/N). I've spent time trying to piece what I could together. All I know is that you don't grow older, you die and then you get up with no prior memory. You have been for a very long time." Carlisle finished as the vampires noticed you tremble. "Let me help you." Carlisle coaxed gently."I'll show you what I’ve found so far. Maybe it'll help."
More and more people seemed to flock to Carlisle, word had gotten around fast. Each one was introduced. This time, the Denali and Romanian coven had come to meet you. Although none seemed to give any hints as to whether they recognised you.
"I hope you found the place you were looking for." A voice said to you and you jumped. You looked over your shoulder to see Vladimir, leaning against the door frame, arms crossed. "What?" You frowned slightly in confusion. "The last time we met. You told me you were looking to be somewhere. Did you ever find it?" He asked with a knowing smirk. He knew your answer just as you did. "I don't know." You said slowly. "We've met before?" "Indeed we have." Vladimir replied. "Twice. You didn't survive the first time but by the second time, you certainly had my attention."
Life before the Volturi was certainly sweet for Vladimir and the Romanian coven. They, much like the Egyptian coven were treats as Gods to the humans. They would sacrifice their own people to please the coven. The humans were nothing but food and other of those considered lucky or - to the coven- fitting to be slaves. Even the slaves only had limited time. None of the humans were permanent. Your face was one of many. A meaningless face of existence that was gone just as quickly as you had entered. You lasted months as a slave before one of the coven decided you were the next meal. However Vladimir didn't anticipate seeing you again.
It was 810 A.D. The Romanians had just tried and failed upon their last attempts to regroup and destroy the Volturi. Despite their numbers, despite experience, the Volturi remained and Vladimir had just lost his mate. He along with Stefan had no other choice but to roam and figure out what to do next. Soon enough he found a familiar face doing the same.  Vladimir had no idea how you were alive. Yet in his grief, he couldn't bring himself to ask much questions. Yet when he spoke to you, you seemed to have no recollection of who he was. Had it really been that long? He wasn't sure. Then again, he had forever. For him such a thing didn't matter. Although it seemed as though you did too- or you were just incredibly lucky.
You seemed dissatisfied and unimpressed with everything around you. You didn't belong here either, he recognised the look all too well. Seeing that you didn't recognise him, he reintroduced himself. You didn't see the harm and gave him your name. However you said something that always stuck out to him after he made a comment of being far from home. "Everywhere I go, I just want to leave." He looked at you. That same dissatisfied look remained. "Are you looking for something?" Vladimir didn't take notice of human business but the question left him before he could decide against it. "Yes. I think I am." You replied, your face twisted in uncertainty. "What are you looking for?" He had never known anyone to have been uncertain they were looking for something yet pursuing it. "I don't know." "Then how will you know if you found it?" Vladimir pressed. "Have you ever felt like you were forgetting something? Something important?" You asked. Vladimir thought momentarily. Forgetting in this life was a gift. An impossible one. You either overlook it or you don't experience it, but you never forget things. Not as an immortal. Not ever. "No. I only wish to forget." Vladimir answered. "Forget what?" It was your turn to ask. "The pain. I lost the love of my life." Vladimir answered. The love of his painfully long life, now. "You have my condolences." You replied softer. Vladimir simply cast you a glance. "Pardon my confusion," Vladimir asked, immediately bring the topic back to you. "but why don't you head home? If you have no knowledge as to what you're looking for then why search for it?" "Well, sir, I don't know where my home is. I can't seem to recall. Perhaps that's what I'm looking for, the place I call home...the people." You frowned, suddenly drowned in your thoughts. As though your sentence caught you off guard. Vladimir's next words brought you back to the world around you. "I wish you luck looking for that place then."
None of Vladimir's story sounded familiar, yet that was becoming a frequent phenomenon.  Although it was new for Vladimir to have not just met you in one but two lifetimes. All the while you had no idea how either of them ended and before now, that they had ever even existed. "I've been thinking about stuff. Trying to see how much I remember?" You began. Carlisle hummed. "Any luck?" "Nothing concrete but I...I have thoughts, images- brief ones. I'm not sure if they're memories or just images my brain comes up with to fill the void." Carlisle nodded in understanding with a smile. "Would you like to talk about them?" You paused. "I had a husband once." You began slowly. "Many actually but, one of them, one of them come to mind more prominently. I can't remember his face. He meant the world to me." You continued quietly. "We knew each other for years, growing up together. It was practically fate that we were to be married before he left for war. I don't remember his name. Just...just what he'd call me." "Which was?" Carlisle asked lightly. "Sweet-face." You replied, unable to hold back from smiling ever so slightly.
Later that night. Carlisle approached you with Alec and Jane. "Do you have a moment?" Carlisle asked and you nodded. "Yes." You replied. "Jane and Alec overheard what you had said to me earlier. It stuck with them."  Carlisle explained as Demetri, Felix and Aro moved into the room. "Oh?" You asked. Carlisle nodded. "We were born before 800 A.D." Jane spoke up. "For our human lives, we lived in England. Our father was an Frankish soldier. Our mother an Anglo-Saxon woman." "We're telling you this...." Alec continued on from his sister. "...because our father would call our mother 'sweetface'." "So much so that it rubbed off on Alec." Jane finished. You were silent for a moment. "Do...do you think that I'm your mother?" You asked. The twins stayed silent. "It would match. It could be coincidental but their mother died the night they were changed." Carlisle finished. "Do you recall having children?" "N-No, I-I don't know." You said hurriedly, the shock finally setting in. "I can find out. They might not have blood anymore but they still have DNA. I could look into this." Carlisle began. "Carlisle, slow down. That's extremely unlikely. It could just be a coincidence. For all I know, I can't have children." You turned to the twins. "I'm sorry but I don't want you to get your hopes up over this. Surely I'd have known-" You were interrupted by Demetri. "You did." Everyone turned to him. "You were always looking out for them, caring for the twins as though they were your own but couldn't understand why. Just as the twins always were drawn to you." Your brow furrowed. "What?" You asked. Demetri looked at you with unease and worry. "I asked that this wasn't brought to your attention but it can't be helped. You spent time with us a couple of centuries ago." Your eyes widened. "You made us promise not to say anything, just to say it yourself?" Alec scowled slightly. "You were right. (Y/N) needs to know. It's better that we don't lie." "Why would you lie?" You said shocked by the admission. Demetri looked away without an answer. "(Y/N)...the twins." Carlisle prompted.  With a sigh, you nodded. "Alright. Alright, we can look into it." Your hair was collected, as well as the twins.
As the radio played softly in background, Demetri's eyes wandered and trailed to you. 'I wouldn't change a thing. I'm so glad, you're back again. I'll never forget you. They said we'd never make it, my sweet joy. Always remember me.' Well that was a kick to the teeth if there ever was one. Was the universe laughing at him? Was it fate? How could a song be so accurate to that very moment?
Truth be told, now that he had moved on, he wouldn't have changed one second of his time with you. It was temporary but perfect. As much as it hurt, it was nice to see you again. Even if you had no idea who he was. You two would have been a very strange couple. A human and a vampire? Even the thought made him smile in amusement. That was silly. Or at least that's what Demetri had told himself all these years. Demetri could even admit to himself now that he'd never want to forget you. Now that the wounds had mostly healed from losing you, he could really appreciate your time with him and hold it to his heart. He'd always remember you, even if you couldn't do the same.  Truth be told this wasn't the first time he had seen you in this confused and stressed state. He remembered one of the times he knew for certain that his feelings were mutual.
It was an easier time, much more carefree and rewarding when you were around. Demetri took your hand and brought it closer to him upon the desk, interlocking your fingers with his. Your hand was smaller than his and fit perfectly within his. Warmth radiating onto his skin. A piece of him wanted to hold onto your hand forever. However, it seemed too sudden. Too much for you considering all of the confusion you already had in your mind. So instead he'd enjoy the opportunity. You knew how he felt and for that time. That was enough.
Demetri had captured you in his memory. His perfect memory capturing you just the way you were. Perfectly solidifies in his memory forever. Demetri ran his fingertips along your neck. He felt some of the muscles twitch under his finger upon instinct and even the light thumping of your pulse in the slowest, yet most gentle of touches. You were perfection, if not the closest thing to it. The loveliest thing he had ever seen. It was hard to think you hadn't been around for long. Aro still had no answers as to why your past was such a conundrum but Demetri had begun to wonder why your past was so important. Why not the here and now where you are with him and the future where a piece of him had hoped you'd remain.
Demetri was brought back to reality. You were gone not long after that and he never expected to see you again. It was either a cruel joke or a painful blessing. He could have loved you. Maybe he did. Perhaps that's why it hurt so much to see you again. This time, you had no recollection of him. The memories of how your hands touched, how you smiled in joy as he twirled you when you danced surrounded by the Volturi guards clapping and smiles. Those memories were meant for him and him alone. He'd keep them locked away safely for you and Demetri. The small piece of forever that simply wasn't meant to be.
You desperately wanted to remember what Demetri was telling you. Yet it was all brand new. You thought hard, so much so that you were certain a headache would be the least of your worries. Though you wanted to remember. Or at least try. Call it imagination or memory recall, you thought hard and something came to mind.
There was a laughter, the more you focused on the sound in your head, the more familiar it became. It was yours. Demetri spun you, his attention on you as you danced with him. Heidi behind him, as well as many other guards. Heidi, a name you had only a face to recall but didn’t recall who she was or even a conversation. The picture in your mind meant nothing to you. Although you did believe him. After all, there was no reason why you shouldn't have. It wasn't as though you could recall it at all, never mind differently.
Although the more you looked at Demetri, the more he refused to meet your gaze and the more time passed, that frustrated you. Dare you even think it, perhaps that was a reason to not believe him. You challenged him before you could even think it through.   "You won't even look at me." You said. "You look at me for a moment and then look away like I broke your heart." Demetri swallowed, unable to meet your eyes momentarily. That wasn't good enough. Not for you. "Was I really so meaningless to you that you can't even look at me, even now?" You asked. "No. You meant more to me than you could imagine." "Then why do you look at me like that?" You asked. "Because whether it be twenty years for two hundred years from now, I'll remember your name but you won't remember mine." His words stunned you into silence.
It was a painful truth for yourself so you could only try to imagine how painful it would have been for Demetri. Demetri couldn't help but imagine what he had wanted to say after all this time. He let his imagination run wild. He imagined grabbing you by the face, kneeling in front of you as you mirrored him. Both overcome with emotions. Tears spilling from your eyes as you smiled at Demetri. "I have so much...to tell you!" Demetri managed out through his own emotion before the two of you pressed your foreheads together.
Truth be told when you were gone all Demetri could think was 'oh well that's the end of that.' The thought sounded passive, like he could shrug you off and carry on with his life like you were never there. That wasn't the case. It was a sad thought. Sadness because it ended prematurely. It ended before either of you could say goodbye or even grow into something more. Now that he knew you died after leaving, he wish he never had let you out of those doors. He wished he had fought for you. Even now a piece of him yearned for you to have said that if things were different, you'd have dropped everything and went with him. You never would say those words. You didn't remember him or anything else. It was a different world back then. It was so easy to regret in hindsight. It was so easy to regret in this life.
Carlisle watched you like a hawk, worried that this was becoming too overwhelming. It was. You felt yourself begin to shut down at all the new information that just didn't seem possible. It was when Carlisle interrupted to check on you that everything came to the surface. "You want to know how I feel?" You asked incredulously. "Angry!" You suddenly yelled. "Hurt! Confused! I have lived countless lives and I don't get to remember any of them!? Not one line!?" You lowered your voice. "Jane and Alec are my children and I lost every little memory I could have had with them. What's the point in living so much if I don't get to keep those memories!?" Tears welled up in your eyes. "I hurt everyone around me because I'll never remember any of them. I'll leave without even knowing I left!" You sobbed. Carlisle looked at you for a moment. "You're right. You're absolutely correct but you are missing the other side to that." This made you pause. "You might have no memory of it but you birthed and raised two children who have survived all this time because of you. You gave them each other. You gave so many people love and commitment. People can only ever ask to know what it's like to be loved and you did that for so many people. You've saved lives, allowed families to reunite and grow. You've done countless good things in the world. You might not be able to remember them and maybe they don't last forever but they happened. You happened and isn't that what's important? To this day, centuries later, you happen again and again and again. Over and over again, never changing and good. There are many in this world who are good people and don't know it. Some might never know but it doesn't change the good in them."
Demetri shared a similar sentiment when he got you alone that night. "Don't you see? That only makes you all the more special." Demetri said softly. "I couldn't keep you forever. Your children couldn't keep you. Your friends and family. Everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing you, lost you. Even those who didn't know you, lost you. They lost the opportunity but you didn't die. You see, that's where a lot of the pain comes, (Y/N). Knowing that the one we lost will never return, that such an event cannot be changed. Our pain is no different but you will never know the relief that you aren't dead, (Y/N). You have been so many and done so much and we are merely chapters in your life. Perhaps it's sad that you don't remember us but we'll always remember you. The gift is in knowing you and that so many others will know you one day. The privilege can't be told, only shared with the ones that knew you." Demetri cracked a smile. "Precious jewels never know how beautiful and cherished they are. I believe you to be no different. You won't remember how important you are but that makes no difference."
You took a few days to gather your thoughts. Demetri's seemed to keep his distance and the past strictly in the past. He knew how difficult this all was, he didn't want to push it further with his own memories of you. Besides there was something more important than all of that. You had been a mother to the twins that they had thought they lost. Meanwhile you never knew they existed. You didn't know the first thing about being a mother, not to mention interfering with their lives. Somehow the knowledge that your children were with Aro as guards made you very uneasy. So you spoke to him when you could get him alone and out of earshot of the twins.
You turned to Aro. "Thank you for taking care of my children." You began. "Why of course, they're wonderful children." Aro smiled. "I don't doubt that." You replied, not returning the smile. "Although I can't help but feel you have other motivations for them. Even now, my gut tells me that you are not everything you appear to be. Regardless, you took care of my children when I wasn't there. So now I have a favour to ask of you, as their mother." Aro tilted his head. "Oh?" "Take care of them. They look up to you. So I ask that even now, from this day on, please look after them. They are nothing less of magnificent and they've been through so much. Please do not add to that list." "Why of course, my dear." Aro grinned and it made you grow uneasy. His smile seemed so sinister. "They are like my own. A valued asset, I assure you." "They aren't assets, they're people. I understand their use just don't hurt them, don't take advantage." "You have my word, my dear." Aro smiled.
Next, you wanted to speak with the twins and warily, they followed you and then led you to somewhere private. The two looked slightly concerned, neither hopeful for what you had to say to them. You let out a shaky breath staring at the twins before you mumbled to yourself. "How do I do this?" The twins looked back at you, slightly nervous as to what you were about to say. "I just...I wanted to say that I'm sorry." The twins seemed confused and surprised. "I am so sorry that I failed to protect you. I'm sorry that I don't remember you and I'm sorry that I haven't been there for you." Tears began to well up in your eyes. "I always knew I was missing something but couldn't figure out what and to think it was me forgetting my own children-." You covered a sob with your hand, turning away from the slightly. "I should have been there for you, through everything. Yet when you needed me the most. I wasn't and I'm so sorry for that. I'm so sorry that I have failed you." "But you didn't. You were there." You looked at Jane due to her soft remark. "It's difficult to remember but I know you were there. You protected us so many times. So much so that the village-" Jane swallowed hard. "You died for us." Alec said quietly. "After that, it wasn't your fault." Jane continued. "You didn't know and we didn't know about you either. We've been okay ever since. Aro looked after us." You looked at them through teary eyes. "It should have been me." You said quietly. "Look at you two now. You're beautiful. You're more than I could have ever imagined. That much I do know." The twins gazes softened even more. Even now, after everything, they got their mothers approval. "You took care of each other. Even after all these years you two are inseparable." You smiled. "We did promise you that." Alec responded. You took a calming breath. "I find it unbearably sad to have met you now, my own children and to think I'd never recognise you. That I had forgotten I ever had children. Yet I look at you now and I can't help but feel angry at myself." "Don't." Alec said. "Don't blame yourself. This happened to us. You didn't do this to us. The village did." "You experienced pain just as we did. We knew you loved us. We always knew our mother loved us." "I know it's been so long. I know it might be difficult to forgive me." You said softly. "There's nothing to forgive in our eyes." Alec replied. "There never was." "I've forgotten how to be a mother, or if you even need one anymore. I don't know what to do with this. So I will ask you this. Are you happy? In Italy, with the Volturi, are you happy there?" "Yes." Jane replied quietly. You nodded, wiping at tears that threatened to fall with a smile. "I'm glad. You don't know how much of a relief that is. That even with all of this, my son and my daughter ending up being okay in the end." "Maybe one day, you could come to us? Stay with us in the Volturi...we could convince Aro." "I don't think he'd allow that, honey." You said softly. "If you want to see me. I can keep in touch. You can visit me when Aro allows you. If you don't want me in your life... I'll understand. Tell me what you'd like." "We don't want to lose you again." Alec replied.  You smiled slightly. "Then I'll do everything I can to ensure you don't." Before you knew it, Alec hugged you tightly. You cradled the back of his head as you hugged him. "...My son." You whispered, feeling a wave of tears rush over you again. "Mother..." Jane said quietly, as she slowly moved forward. You looked to her, continuing to hold Alec tightly. It seemed as though Jane finally let go and she moved towards you before hugging you. You maneuvered an arm from Alec's back to wrap around Jane. "I'm going to try, okay?" You said through your tears. "I'll try to be the best mother I can be to you."
After a few days, the Volturi had to leave. The twins left with the promise it wasn't goodbye. It was 'see you later' at the very most and so that’s what you said to them. You would see them later. Months passed and you kept your word. You kept in touch with the twins. However the most recent contact was delayed. They couldn't get a hold of you.
It took a lot but Carlisle asked that everybody be present at the link that he had sent. For those like the Volturi and the Romanians this meant Carlisle went out of his way to send laptops to them. No one was happy about it sent into one big video call together but all in all were the Cullen's, the Romanians, the Volturi and the Denali.
After a moment, Carlisle's words made everyone fall silent upon their grumble and snarky comments. "I have news to share with you all." Carlisle appeared to be in his office. However everyone was more focused on how something seemed to be wrong, given Carlisle's expression. It was sympathetic, much like a doctor is trained to be. Precise, clear and having their full attention to their patient. "Precisely five weeks ago, (Y/N) was no longer living with us and had once again returned to their previous home. Three weeks ago, (Y/N) was in a terrible car accident and sustained life threatening injuries to vital organs." Demetri turned his head away, a hand moving to his face. The twins had gone rigid and Aro had his hands on either of their shoulders. Carlisle continued. "After some examination, (Y/N) was immediately moved to our intensive care unit for treatment as doctors attempted to determine if surgery was possible. It was determined that this was not possible and that (Y/N)'s chances of survival were around ten percent if we proceeded with surgery. So that everyone knows, I have had minimum involvement with (Y/N)'s case and have been respectful of previously discussed wishes under the circumstances of severe injury or death. (Y/N) asked that if anything were to happen to them, I would not inform anyone of these circumstances until their state has been fully investigated and final." No one saw Alec take Jane's hand as the two looked at each other in silent conversation. "(Y/N)'s condition did not improve and they sadly passed away on Friday at 3:34pm." Garrett immediately stood up, trying to process the situation. The twins immediately stormed off before two very distinctive, animalistic screams were heard. Carlisle paused for a moment and Felix out a hand on Demetri's shoulder who had since huddled over himself, covering his face. He wasn't prepared to lose you again. You were in his past. So why did he once again feel his heart break in half at this news? "They were transferred to the morgue and as of now their body is considered missing. As of yesterday I have been altering paperwork to have humans assume their body has been transferred on and cover tracks." "So where are they?" Kate asked as she took her mates wrist in attempt to comfort him. "I do not know. They have no memory of any of us. I can only assume they have done as they have done before got up and left." "Thank you for informing us Carlisle." Aro said smoothly. "If you excuse us..." Carlisle nodded.  "That's all I can give you. In the mean time to those I sent devices to...you can simply discard of them or do as you please."
The twins took matters into their own hands and came to you thanks to the help of Demetri. The twins watched you upon a grass hill. A small breeze rushed by them. it had been ten months. The driver was mortified to discover your body was gone. He was already riddled with guilt. As he should have, in the twins eyes. Another reason to hate humans.
You weren’t certain how you got to the middle of a road in a forest.  Your lack of knowledge frightened you and made you flee the scene. The twins made a plan, the news hurting them more than the two anticipated. They were determined to bring you back to Italy where they could keep you safe. Now that they had arrived and Alec laid eyes upon you, he had second thoughts.  He didn't know if he could bring himself to put you through more anguish than you already had. He recalled your reaction to the confirmation that you were in fact their mother. The guilt you felt for not being around all this time and furthermore, not even remembering your children had upon you. He'd be doing it again.
When Jane went to move forward, he caught her. "Wait..." "What is it?" She asked, looking to her brother. Alec looked at you. If he said it, his sister would be distressed, but it was almost like saying goodbye, a goodbye he originally never got to give. "We shouldn't. We shouldn't do this." "What!?" Jane demanded in bewilderment. Alec's voice was quiet and showed his best attempt of speaking without emotion but he failed. Of course he failed. He was talking about his mother. One of the people he had loved the most. The one who died trying to protect them. Of course, he'd love nothing more than an eternity with his sister and his mother. He knew exactly what Jane was thinking. It would be the best gift they'd have ever received but for once Alec didn't think of just himself and his sister. He thought about you, his mother. He had seen, first hand, the distress you went through of forgetting. The confusion you were cursed to face with a new life and no understanding as to what led you to that point. He recalled your tears as you remembered crawling out of a morgue. Your pain from forgetting your children. He loved you. He could he not?  So as much as it hurt, he wanted to do what he thought was best for you. Let you live out your lives and let you forget them. To them, you'd always be their mother and nothing could take that from them. Even if you wouldn't remember it. "That is our mother, Alec!" Jane seethed, her eyes darkening. "We don't get another one!" She cried out. "Sister, you've seen the pain our mother had been through remembering. It's a painful process that doesn't need to be anymore painful than it already is. We love our mother and deep down, our mother loves us. Even if they won't remember it. We'd be torturing them if we took them with us, forcing them to know us over and over again. Our mother raised us, it's time. Let them go." Alec said softly, he wished he could cry. If it eased some of the pain, he'd sob to the skies above. Shakily, Jane replied with a quiet growl. "I'm getting our mother. Whether you like it or not!" She stormed off. Alec didn't stop her. He simply watched. He recalled what he thought to had been a memory. There was nothing but hazy colours. Alec simple couldn't remember it. However, since he had heard your voice, it was enough to remind him of something that hit Alec hard as he watched his sister. "You two promise me that, no matter what, you will always look after each other." He could hear the smile in your voice. "Your bond to each other is a gift. A companion for always and forever." We promise. Alec thought. Of course we will.
You hadn't noticed Jane, even as she stood feet away from you. Slowly she reached out to you, hesitant. Just as her fingertips were inches from your back she recalled your words to her long ago. She was certain she was human when you had said them. "Jane, you and your brother are the strongest people I have ever known. You'll be absolutely fine." Jane couldn't remember what she had to do that made her so frightened, only her mother's encouragement. "What if I need you and you're not there?" "You don't need me, sweet girl. You're braver and more powerful than you know." You could hear the fond smile in your voice. "I'll always need you, you're my mother." She remembered her own response but couldn't agree with it. Alec's previous words still fresh in her mind. The twins had lived with only each other for centuries. They had become more powerful than they could have imagined and all they really needed was each other. Jane didn't need a parent. She had one until the bitter end. Now a vampire who had been around for at least a thousand years, she couldn't really say needed a mother. She thought of all the lives you must have lived since. Some longer or shorter than others. All without Jane and Alec. All without any recollection of the one before or knowledge of the next. Perhaps her brother was right. Perhaps it was enough to simply know that she had one rather than selfishly put their mother through repetitive suffering every time they die and start again. That's already confusing enough. Jane's fingertips hovered an inch away from your back. You still had no idea. Slowly, she lowered her hand. She took two steps back.
You had a feeling someone was watching you, wanting your attention and that was when you heard a scraping noise on the ground directly behind you. You looked over your shoulder to find nothing. Nothing but the grassy hill behind you. You turned back to the phone you had dug out of your pocket. Was it yours? You didn't remember. However the phone could wait. Now you had to figure out where you were and where you had been before.

demetri's cats:
first of all you should know he has a tortie, two orange idiots, a grey bastard, and a tabby. also he knows each of their personalities so well that he can track them using his gift
the tortie:
Tumblr media
anne
she's one spicy kitty! known for her sass and being highly opioniated, once you're on her bad side you best know she has a vendetta against you (the only exception to date is demetri, who she'd lie and say he's just her can opener if she could talk).
she's also been known to carry out revenge against demetri just for being given the wrong food (she constantly changes her mind about what her favorite flavor is) and when he tried to reverse-psychology her into learning tricks, she spent a whole week holding a grunge against him... until he came back from the market with fresh shrimp for her.
she is by far his favorite, though he'd deny it if you asked. she knows it too! she's even got the bejeweled collar to prove it. plus, she's not even expected to hunt, just sit pretty! (though when she does, she's not afraid to get her murder mittens bloody. demetri just praises her and cleans her right up)
the two orange idiots:
Tumblr media
elagabalus
Tumblr media
caligula
demetri found these two brothers as kittens on a return from a mission. he quickly scooped the pair up from the gutter, soaking from the rain and proceeded to bottle feed them every two hours right on the dot until they could hold down solids.
like most orange cats, these two share one communal brain cell with the rest of the world's population of gingy boiis. they've been known to get stuck in the strangest and highest of places, requiring felix's rescue. however, don't be fooled! these two are menaces prone to mischief (about the only thing felix finds entertaining about them).
unlike anne, these two will eat anything, including plastic, electrical wires, spiders, and the secretary's lunch if left unattended. they're not the brightest, constantly requiring supervision. if these cats were vampires, they'd be the romanians: never capable of getting anything done.
however, there's a few notable distinctions between the two: caligula, in the off chance he has the communal brain cell, is known for his occasional evil genius. a great hider, he'll climb up high where he isn't visible and swipe at the heads of passing vampires, even capable of striking an invisible afton. elagabalus, on the other hand, doesn't even need the communal brain cell to be a true garlfield - he creates a distraction just to make the secretary abandon her desk just so he can gorge himself on their lunch. hey, if it worked once, surely it'll work again, right? (each secretary catches on quickly, but they're replaced so often that this poor boy doesn't know the difference).

shadow
meet demetri's russian blue!
she's the castle's best hunter, single-handedly taking care of the majority of the rodents occupying the castle grounds. demetri found her in a forest as a roughly eight-month-old kitten in the forests of forks right after dealing with the cullens and their newborn fiasco. demetri, ever fond of strays, picked her right up out of the cold and brought her home.
this kitty is aloof and quiet, preferring peace and minimal company. her favorite person is demetri, but felix is a close second and she is known to prefer felix's company (and his room) when demetri has company or gets too extroverted for her tastes. if it weren't for the bell on her collar, no one would know where she is.
while being most loyal to demetri (she follows him around the castle), she is still known for being petty. she's bitten many secretaries ankles just for standing in her way and has even attempted to bite demetri for feeding her one minute past normal dinner time.
while her face is sweet, don't let her fool you. she's snuck into the basement to snack on the bodies of dead meals (demetri insists it was only once and due to her feelings of food insecurity, having previously lived in the wild).
the tabby:
Tumblr media
bandit
oh you thought the orange idiots were mischievous? meet demetri's tabby. no one knows what's wrong with her, but she's definitely got a few screws loose. her strangest habit is staring at you until you get paranoid or angry, then running off once you finally address her.
like all tabbies, she is hyperactive and prone to causing trouble if not given enough stimulation (and no dad demetri, chasing and killing mice is NOT enough). she's also known for staring at things no one else can see, zoomies at all hours, and chasing her own tail like a dog. her favorite toy happens to be hair ties, and a close second is plastic grocery bags.
did you know tabbies are highly intelligent? this is the only cat demetri successfully taught to play fetch. she also knows sit and stay, and is also very good at brain puzzles. despite this, her one failure is her inability to hide/be sleuthy: she will "hide" behind curtains, glass doors, and in tubberware storage boxes thinking you can't see her.

United by Eternity
Pairing: Vladimir x (y/n).
Summary: I had you once, but I lost you, so now I am eternally yours.
Warning: Clinically insane, lost you once, mentions of war and insulting the volturi.
Word count: 1109 words.
a/n: This took a while, but english is not my first language. I do hope you guys like it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vladimir's POV.
Past actions come to present actions trice what is understandable. It is a little too late to stand here preaching? Horrifying. Every time my eyes find (y/n) everything plays slow like the day couldn't get any worse. Back then when we ruled the human world to our advances; we took our job seriously. We had clans come from far and wide to established alliances, people joining us or wanting to be part of us, and food came from all over the world. When being from the Romanian Coven meant something.
(y/n) had my head on her lap running her fingers through his short blonde hair. She hummed a song between her lips no words spoken from them. Vladimir lowered his eyelids letting the atmosphere of his mate succumbed him.
He would give up all of him to make this moment last forever.
Despite the Romanian Coven choice of looking past Vampires with powers. His treasure has one calming everyone in the room no matter what. Vladimir embraces his hands surrounding his mate locking her towards himself. The atmosphere took a drastic chance now that the doors to the throne room have been open by Coronel. He strolls in with a couple others from the Coven worry about some new coven making little to no change in how we lived.
“We can't let them get away with it!”, One Coven member hidden behind a cloak shines out.
“We can take Aro out”. Xutopia speaks coming past Coronel. Her brunette long hair falls in cascades as she adds soon after, “they will disperse after the deed is done". She pleads as a second in command to Stefan.
A new coven member explains his frustration against why we are brushing off the Volturi.
Stefan opens his mouth to say something, but he stops himself closing his mouth. Xutopia raises an eyebrow at her brother not liking the fact she was ignored, “We are going to regret this”.
"Shut up", Vladimir mutters between gritted teeth annoyance bursts through his whole body. His eyes open, he removes his head from his mate’s lap.
“When have we lost?”. Vladimir crimson eyes fallen to each member in the room. His eyes glare intently to Coronel and then Xutopia, “We shouldn’t be so fucking confident”.
“Let me go ahead! Let me attack them when they aren’t expecting it!”.
His mate cuddles his side completely oblivious to what was spoken for her Vladimir is everything she has had. Vladimir eyes drift to her form resting (y/n)'s head on his chest. Everythìng fell in glorious praise with (y/n) stayed by his side.
"The Volturi are a scum!”. Xutopia shouts at the top of her lungs, many of our members screams after her confirming what she thought and a smile ran away from her face affirming pleased with a wide grin.
“They are just starting a war they won't win in the end. We are the Romanian Coven, aren't we coronel?". Vladimir drifted his attention to Coronel, who nodded before letting the words he held in his mind loose. Vladimir's calm but stern tone spreads his powerful energy, "I am not doubting our power, but The Volturi has convinced small covens! We should attack as soon as possible! We can't let them regroup. We could lose more if we let them grow". Coronel extended his hands as his voice filled the Romanian Castle Stronghold. He attracted crowds of Vampires and compelled humans to obey.
Back then we didn't mind. We didn't see the Volturi as a threat. Our worst mistake.
"Vladimir".
Vladimir's surroundings dissipate like a canvas getting washed over. His eyes drifted to his mate smiling at him as if he could cry. He would have, "Don't go, (y/n). Please". His last plead. He blinked the Romanian Castle meeting room was no more. It was replaced by white walls around him complemented by domino floors some type of hospital room. The stone walls were exchange with white walls and the stone floors were exchange with spotless floors. Each coven member disappear from sight taking form of tables, cabinets with other tolls and objects around the room.
Vladimir eyed the room, a sight escaping his lips trying to shake the memory away from his body. A hand-made contract with his cold ones. The contrast warmth to him, his eyes look up to (e/c) staring directly at him.
"Are you okay, Vlamir? You looked distant", (y/n) eyes soften in a welcoming manner with the nickname she gave him. He couldn't bring himself to tell her to stop; however, he did lose her centuries away, and he isn't starting on that note again.
No. He is not going to lose her ever again. No volturi. No coven will he let anyone take his human mate.
"Standing here looking at you takes all my breath away". Vladimir was quick to change the topic remembering how things used to be. How he lose her in the second retake battle with 100 new members. It is not something he can forgive himself that night he lost more than what he bargained for. We weren't prepared for a surprise attack.
"I will assume you are okay", (y/n) cheeks redden into next week. She pushes him playfully getting back to her job. It wouldn't be lying if he didn't say he missed her voice, her eyes going to him, her presence and if she is his other half his wishes granted, he is not going to let anything happen to her ever again even her scent every part of her is the original. He would cry with joy if he could.
He had constantly wished to have her return to him.
"I am good, (y/n)". Vladimir adds quickly so as not to worry her. Her eyes glance at him before her attention goes back to her job.
"I am glad", (y/n) whispers between her lips. A smile ran through Vladimir's lips knowing he did good. He will become her guard if he has to. Fuck the Volturi. His lips parted no words spoke staring at her. His eyes drifted to her like a magnet to a needle.
The room stood frozen looking at the machine that played in the background. (y/n)'s heart beats calmly her lips part. She moves back staring at Vladimir, "Did you say something?". She asks looking over at him. Vladimir runs his hands through his hair. He chuckles staring at her, "You are my mate, so now I am eternally yours”.
“What”
Alec’s Pet
Tumblr media
!!!!!!WARNING!!!!! GRAPHIC DEPICTIONS OF BLOOD
I always thought Bella was exaggerating when she talked about the other vampires, she had met besides the Cullens but when we met the Volturi I realized Bella had greatly minimized just how terrifying, red-eyed vampires were, but none terrified me like the brown-haired boy, Alec. He left me feeling petrified the first I glanced at him in the throne room of the Volturi palace in Italy. After narrowly escaping the jaws of death and managing to make it back home to Forks, Washington I never expected to see Alec again but after only a few short months he appeared in my room.
I stood frozen in the doorway, my heart hammered in my chest as he was sitting at my computer desk swiveling a little as he stared me down.
“Are you going to just stand there?”
His harsh voice caught me off guard, he had broken into my room and was now speaking to me like I was in the wrong.
“Ugh… um… hi?”
Taking a deep breath, I closed my bedroom door as Alec raised a single eyebrow at me, I could feel my skin prickle with anxiety. I shuffled my feet as I now felt unwelcome and uneasy in my own bedroom.
“Stop fidgeting and sit down.”
Jumping I all but ran to my bed and sat on the edge, facing him as he stared me down with a blank expression on his face.
“You are mine, so I have some expectations and rules for you to follow.”
I was completely caught off guard again, almost choking on air as Alec sounded so casual at the proclamation that I belonged to him.
“Ugh… i-I don’t belong to you. I’m a human, you can’t own someone.”
That was apparently the wrong thing to say as he stood up, towering over me as I had to look up at him.
“You owe me your life, you stupid pet. If I had willed it, you would have never left the throne room alive.”
I leaned back as he bent down, getting in my face as his voice deepened to an almost threatening level.
“So, I expect some gratitude out of you, pet.”
My breath was caught in my throat as he stood back up, giving my head a condescending pet to prove his point. He ran his fingers through my hair before grabbing a fist full and pulling on it harshly, forcing my head back so I was looking up at him again.
“Be a good pet and I’ll treat you good but be disobedient and I’ll make you wish you were never born.”
Letting go of my hair Alec harshly pushed me down to lay on my back as he got on top of me.
“I thought about getting you a collar but that can easily be taken off, so I thought of something more permanent.”
I whimpered in fright as Alec pulled a knife out, waving it in front of my face before cutting away my shirt, exposing my bra clad chest to him. Alec’s red eyes gleamed joyfully as he drags the flat side of the knife down my chest, taunting me. I didn’t know if begging would just entice him more, but I was desperate for this to stop.
“Please, I don’t want this.”
Letting out an animalistic growl, Alec roughly grabbed my face with his free hand.
“I don’t care what you want. I want this, and I always get what I want. You should remember that.”
Turning my head to the side he leaned over, stuffing his nose into the side of my neck and inhaling as his tongue darted out to lap at my skin. It felt like my heart was going to combust with fright as I started to physically shake. My eyes were closed as I waited for the venom filled bite that would end me, but it never came, instead I felt the cold steel of the knife in the middle of my chest. A scream ripped through my body as Alec carved letters into my chest, hot pain seared through me and when he finally pulled the now bloody knife away, he leaned forward again and licked my chest clean of blood. Fat hot tears streaked down my face as Alec finally got off of me, giving me an obnoxious smirk as he eyed his work.
“There. Now everyone will know who you belong to.”
My chest heaved with every raggedy breath I took, trying to calm myself as I dared to look down and see what he had carved into me.
In big bloody capital letters, the letters ALEC were carved into my chest forever.
Welcome Home ~ Felix Volturi One-Shot
~~~
Tumblr media
A/N ~ My first one-shot for our lovely gentle giant, Felix. He has always needed some more love in this fandom. I also apologize for any grammar or formatting errors. This is posted off of mobile and I am absolutely terrible at grammar.
Summary ~ Felix coming back to your shared room.
~~~
A small sigh escaped Felix's lips as the door to his room clicked shut behind him. With each step into the lavish room a piece of clothing came off, and his body started to relax. But only true comfort came to him, after you entered his sight.
Almost his entire immortal life, Felix has been a critical member of the Volturi. Even now, thousands of years later that remains true. The only difference now is he finally has a mate to come home to, something he had craved since his new life began.
And there you were, asleep with your curly hair scattered on the couch pillow, in a way Felix could only describe as angelic.
His steps toward your sleeping form were slow as he took in every detail of you. The way your legs tangled in your favorite blanket, the curves of your waist up to your breast. The set of glasses your human eyes needed to see, sat neatly on your face.
The only thing his mate wore apart from the many blankets on the couch, was a soft black shirt. The one you had taken immediately from Felix the last time he changed. The smile that had already begun, just grew bigger the longer he looked at you.
The past couple weeks has been chaotic within the Volturi. Due to his position within the coven, this effected him more than some of the other members. Which had greatly reduced his time with you, much to his displeasure.
 But, Felix was forever thankful for your understanding nature, and the respect you had for what the Volturi does and stands for in the vampire world. Especially in the busy times that have come, and have recently separated you.
Those thoughts slipped his mind as he crouched his large body down next to yours. An adoring smile gracing his face, as he gently pushed a few stray curls behind your ear. Felix had memorized your face and your body the minute he saw you and every moment after. This time was no different.
Felix lightly traced his fingertips down your jawline, then slowly around your lips, his thumb gently rubbed your chin and then ran it down one of the veins in your neck. This action is what woke you from your rest.
The cool sensation sent a wave of panic throughout your body until your eyes met Felix's. His large hand, found your smaller one to press a small kiss onto your palm. Your love came home to you.
Even if only hours apart, words were not needed when you both reunited with each other. The adoring smiles and knowing looks spoke everything that could ever be said.
This time was no different. While still slightly asleep, you gently cradled your mates face in your warm hands. Taking your thumbs and rubbing his chilled marble skin, your eyes never breaking contact. Even as you carefully placed your forehead against his.
Not many creatures saw this side of the Volturi executioner. Normally stoic, with cool eyes calculating the situation at hand, waiting for an unfortunate outcome to play out in front of him. But now, he was completely at the mercy of the little human in front of him. Felix could let himself melt into your warm hands, the cool exterior he often wore did not exist in your presence. Your scent washed over him, relaxing every part of his body, with you he had no reason to worry.
Felix's secured his hands around your arms, and rubbed the exposed skin. Goosebumps following after them. Not wanting you to be chilled against him, he used his speed to pull a blanket around your soft body. Switching your positions, so Felix had your strattling his lap on your shared couch.
A sqeak followed by your laughter filled the room as he pulled your closer, his cool hands now trailing up your sides.
"You're supposed to give me a warning before you do that!" Your voice was light with traces of laughter as you playfully scolded him. While your warm hands lightly smacked his chest.
Felix grinned, but didn't have time for a cheeky remark before you surprised him with a long overdue kiss. If he was human, it would have taken his breath away. Your lips mixed with your close proximity was intoxicating. His hands squeezed your sides slightly harder before wrapping his arms around you. Wanting you as close as possible.
Feeling the same, you deepened the kiss. Hands trailing from his chest back up to his face. Before finally tangling themselves in his hair. A small moan escaped his lips as you tugged on the strands you could reach.
Pulling away for only a second, to catch your breath, and whisper "Welcome home, my love. I have missed you." And home Felix was.
Hey babyyyyy,
Can we do some more poly!volturi kings x reader where the reader has a great family bond with the guards? And the kings are so proud like "that's the kind of queen we needed."
This sounds perfect, hope you enjoy it ✨
↳ bonds beyond blood ↲
➘ summary : the three volturi kings are proud that their mate is getting along so well with their top guards
➘ aro x reader x caius x marcus, twilight x reader , volturi x reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the heart of Volterra's ancient citadel, where shadows danced and history whispered through the stones, the Volturi reigned supreme. Aro, the charismatic mastermind; Marcus, the contemplative soul; and Caius, the unyielding enforcer, ruled with an iron grip, their names synonymous with power in the supernatural realm.
But the immortal facade these kings presented to the world belied the intricate web of emotions they harbored for one human: (Y/N), a woman whose presence ignited a transformation within their centuries-old hearts.
The tale began on an unassuming evening, when (Y/N)'s fate collided with that of the Volturi. Lost in the labyrinthine streets of Volterra, she wandered into their world, unaware of the enigma that awaited her. Aro's gifted sight caught the glimpse of a mortal, a fragile soul amidst the immortal world. Intrigued, he beckoned her forward, a single interaction setting in motion a destiny no one could foresee.
As (Y/N) stood before the thrones of the three kings, her heart pounding, she couldn't ignore the inexplicable pull she felt. Aro's penetrating gaze, Marcus' contemplative demeanor, and Caius' unyielding aura seemed to draw her in, weaving a connection she struggled to understand.
The kings' curiosity grew as they observed her, each captivated by the essence she brought to their lives. Aro's laughter became more vibrant, Marcus' rare smiles more frequent, and Caius' stern façade softened in her presence. A silent understanding flowed between them, forging a bond that transcended human limitations.
While (Y/N)'s presence changed the kings, it also ignited an unexpected kinship among their loyal guards. Alec and Jane, the gifted twins who once struck fear into the hearts of enemies, found in (Y/N) a maternal figure they had never experienced. Her warmth and wisdom touched the depths of their immortal hearts, transforming their relationship into one of unwavering trust.
Felix, the formidable protector, discovered an unexpected gentleness in (Y/N), a trait that resonated deeply with his own spirit. Demetri, the master tracker, admired her determination, finding a kindred spirit in her unwavering resolve.
But it was Alec and Jane who held the most unique connection with (Y/N). With their childlike appearances frozen in time, they looked to her as a maternal figure they had never known. (Y/N) nurtured them with her wisdom, guided them with her love, and in return, the twins showered her with unwavering loyalty and adoration.
In the shadowed halls of the Volturi castle, an intricate dance of relationships unfolded. Kings and guards, vampire and human, became bound by bonds that defied tradition and expectation. (Y/N) stood at the heart of it all, an unwitting catalyst for change and unity.
As the days turned to nights, and (Y/N)'s presence continued to weave its magic, none could anticipate the challenges that lay ahead. Threats both old and new would test the strength of their bonds, and the very fabric of their existence would be shaken.
But in that moment, as the castle's stone walls whispered secrets of centuries past, the Volturi kings and their beloved human mate reveled in the newfound harmony they had forged. They were yet to understand that this harmony would become their greatest strength in the trials that awaited them.
In the heart of the grand Volturi castle, (Y/N)'s presence continued to illuminate the lives of both kings and guards. The bond she shared with Aro, Marcus, and Caius flourished, growing stronger with each passing day. It was a connection that transcended time, defying the very laws that governed their supernatural existence.
As (Y/N) navigated the intricacies of the immortal world, she found herself drawn into the lives of the twins, Alec and Jane. Their once-uncertain existence had transformed into one filled with warmth and acceptance, all thanks to the woman who looked upon them with the eyes of a guardian. She provided guidance, friendship, and a motherly love they had never experienced.
Alec and Jane, once feared for their devastating abilities, now wielded their powers with control and restraint, a testament to (Y/N)'s patient guidance. They had found in her the stability they needed, a figure of trust they could confide in and look up to.
Felix and Demetri, too, had been touched by (Y/N)'s presence. Felix's exterior, once unyielding, softened in the glow of her compassion. He had found solace in her calming influence, a touchstone of gentleness amid the tumultuous world he inhabited. Demetri, with his unerring tracking skills, marveled at (Y/N)'s strength and resilience. He respected her as an equal, an ally, and a friend.
As days turned to nights and the castle's halls echoed with secrets, (Y/N) embraced her role within the Volturi's inner circle. The kings, once distant figures of power, now confided in her their thoughts and hopes, their fears and aspirations. Their bond with her had opened a door to vulnerability, allowing them to share a side of themselves that had long remained hidden.
However, the tranquility that (Y/N) had brought to the Volturi world would soon be disrupted by shadows that lurked on the horizon. Rumors of a rising force, one that sought to challenge the very foundations of their rule, began to circulate. It was a threat that no one could ignore, and the unity forged among kings, guards, and their human mate would be put to the test.
As tension mounted, the intricate relationships woven within the castle walls would be shaken to their core. Loyalties would be questioned, and the limits of love and friendship would be pushed to their breaking point. The kings and their newfound family, bound by love rather than blood, would have to stand together to face the storm that approached.
And so, as the sun dipped below the horizon and cast long shadows across the ancient city, the Volturi prepared to confront a challenge that would either strengthen their bonds beyond measure or shatter the delicate harmony they had built. (Y/N)'s presence, once an unexpected thread in the fabric of their lives, would prove to be the source of strength that held them together in the face of adversity.
Within the towering walls of the Volturi castle, a sense of anticipation hung in the air. As (Y/N) moved through the grand halls, her steps were now accompanied by an underlying tension. The threat that loomed on the horizon was palpable, casting a shadow over the unity she had helped foster.
The kings, Aro, Marcus, and Caius, convened in their private chamber, their expressions etched with a rare mixture of concern and determination. (Y/N) was there, a steadfast presence amidst their deliberations, a living testament to the bonds they had forged.
Aro's eyes gleamed with his usual curiosity, though there was an edge of worry that betrayed his usual confidence. Marcus, ever the observer, seemed to contemplate the future with a weight that surpassed his years. Caius, the embodiment of authority, clenched his jaw, his resolve unwavering in the face of impending conflict.
Beside them, Alec and Jane stood, their faces a mirror of their guardians'. The twins who had found a maternal figure in (Y/N) were now mature beyond their years, their commitment to the family they had formed unwavering. Felix and Demetri flanked the group, their expressions a mixture of vigilance and readiness, ever prepared to defend those they held dear.
As the kings deliberated, (Y/N)'s gaze shifted to the window, her thoughts a whirlwind of emotions. She had become a part of this intricate tapestry, her life interwoven with those of kings and guards alike. The unity they had cultivated was a source of strength, but it was about to be tested in ways they couldn't predict.
News had reached the Volturi of a faction that sought to challenge their dominion, a group that believed their way of life was threatened by the kings' rule. The realization that their world could be on the brink of upheaval sent ripples of tension through the castle's inhabitants.
With a sense of resolve, Aro turned his gaze toward (Y/N), his voice steady yet tinged with urgency. "My dear (Y/N)," he began, "we are faced with a challenge that demands our unity. The bonds we have formed must not falter in the face of adversity."
Marcus, his usually somber eyes showing a glimmer of determination, continued, "We have faced countless challenges throughout history. Our strength lies in our ability to stand together."
Caius, the embodiment of authority, spoke with a conviction that sent shivers down the spines of all present. "We must protect what we've built, even if it means confronting those who seek to undermine us."
And so, a plan began to take shape, a strategy that relied on the unique strengths of each individual. (Y/N)'s role in this impending conflict was not to be underestimated; her presence had already proven to be a beacon of strength, a source of inspiration for those who fought beside her.
As the sun dipped below the horizon and cast long shadows across the castle walls, a sense of anticipation settled over the Volturi stronghold. Bonds forged through love and shared purpose would soon be put to the test, as the unity of kings, guards, and their human mate stood against the gathering storm.
And as the first drops of rain began to fall, (Y/N) braced herself for the challenges ahead, ready to stand by the side of those she held dear and face whatever trials fate had in store.
Would you ever write an Edward story where he cheats on Bella post Breaking Dawn or they break up because he falls in love with another human after her? Like a few years down the line, he starts to miss Bella’s human scent, softness, etc. and then he meets another singer or someone whose mind he can’t read and becomes obsessed with them. And it’s angsty because they realize he doesn’t really like vampire Bella and what attracted him to her was her “humanness” so now that it’s gone, he loses interest.
Pairing(s): Edward Cullen x human!witch!Reader, Edward Cullen x Bella Swan
Warnings: major regret, kinda feel bad for bella while writing this 😅, falling out of love, for the sake of this story reneesme doesn't exist, kinda creepy stalker vibe from edward?, but what else do you expect from him 😂, sorry this is short :( been suffering from major writer's block
Words: 1443
Tumblr media
There was no warmth of life to Bella, not anymore. Edward had fought against Bella's desire to be like him, an immortal. With her warmth went that oh so sweet honeysuckle scent of her singer blood. He missed nuzzling his nose in the crook of her neck, inhaling deeply and listening to her blood coarse through her veins. Everything was cold and hard and unwelcoming now that she was like the rest of the Cullens.
And while he was able to physically love her without restraint now, there was a gnawing dissatisfaction that burned a hole deep inside of him.
He tried smothering it, not let it grow and feed off his lingering thoughts. Just a harmless, passing thought. They'd taken vows, to love one another for the rest of their immortal lives in front of all their friends and family. Edward thought he got his happily ever after with Bella, his singer.
Never did he imagine that he would miss her mortality so much and so greatly. Profound was his distress over this realization as he experienced grief for Bella's human life once more. This time it lingered. Resting on the precipice of his consciousness.
Try as he may, it creeps into his mind whenever he holds onto her golden gaze. Grateful that Bella's special ability wasn't telepathy like him. It would break her heart if she heard the doubting thoughts that grew louder each passing day.
Edward didn't know the exact start date of this swift change in his mentality toward someone he'd loved and cherished so much that he was willing to face both the wolves and the Volturi in order to protect her.
Immense shame rendered him speechless, unable to seek help or advice from his brothers. He'd never kept such a large secret before from them. They'd always held a sympathetic ear for Edward but. . . if he told them about this, Emmett and Jasper might add onto his guilt. Bella was their sister-in-law. His brothers have proven that they genuinely care for her and accept her as part of the Cullen clan.
The world around him was crumbling. Nothing for him to stabilize himself.
Errands that took him away from town were like a breath of fresh air to his undernourished lungs- well, metaphorically.
His outings lasted longer and longer each time. The distance he put between himself and Bella growing larger.
Until something odder happened to him.
He smelled the blood of a singer once more. Each inhalation a spasming jolt shot through him. A burst of honeyed, reduced him to damn near salivating. Edward had almost forgotten the scent. Almost mistook it for something else.
Akin to an apex predator, he's easily guided to the source of such an alluring aroma that has him blind-sided. He doesn't care in that moment who lay at the end of the trail or of the consequences that may befall him from this encounter.
If it hadn't been for your singer blood, you would have blended in with the rest of the crowd in Port Angeles. A typical human female hanging out with her friends; just like many others that night. Unaware of the glowing eyes of the animal stalking her.
But you weren't like your other friends. With his vampire eyes, he saw the glow of your skin; your aura was blinding. Even Bella's presence wasn't as bright as when he laid eyes on you. His honeypot.
He frantically rifles through the crowd's thoughts, tossing them away when they didn't belong to you.
In pursuing you, Edward was essentially damning himself. Each step he took closer to you was like walking into danger itself. A moth to a flame. For the first time in a long time, Edward felt utterly helpless. Weak even.
Then he heard the ring of your thoughts.
And he smiles to himself, listening in as you contemplate leaving early to go home and finish the book you'd started the other day. How it was getting to the good part. Torn that you were also having fun with your friends though.
Subtly watching you from a hiding spot, Edward simply closes his eyes and focuses on the flow of your thoughts in an attempt to get to know you better. Another human girl with the delicious blood of a god.
Bella checks the time on her phone again.
2 am
Edward had left eight hours ago, not bothering to tell anyone where he was going or taking his phone with him. His behavior was growing more concerning. She'd asked Jasper and Emmett if they had noticed this odd turn in Edward and they too agree that something was up with him. Alice did her best to offer a positive take on the issue. Not even Carlisle or Esme had an answer.
Not too long ago Edward had been so attentive to her, relishing in sharing immortality with her.
Deciding to wait in their shared little cottage home, Bella leaves the main Cullen estate and takes to the small pebbled path that led to her home. She remembers how happy they were when Carlisle gifted the cottage to them when they came back from their honeymoon.
Her fingers lazily trail along the rugged bark of trees. Nails lightly dragging across it.
Their life was perfect now. She fit into his world. So. . . why the sudden distance? This was going on to four months now and the decline was becoming more evident.
Her other hand is anxiously drawn to her chest in an effort to comfort her. Bella could hear the cracks in their marriage and overall relationship.
Edward growls in irritation with himself. What an idiot he was following you home. Stupid that he put everything on the line just to be around you a little bit longer.
He kept bargaining with himself that he was only going to stay for an hour. An hour turned into two, then three. . . Until he was perched atop of a tree across the street from your house.
Exasperated he runs a hand across his face, making his way up the brick steps of the cottage.
He shouldn't have followed you back to your home. Now he had that knowledge of your address.
That meant. . .
So consumed in his inner turmoil, Edward was caught off guard by Bella's voice "Where have you been?"
His eyes round in alarm, the only tipoff to his surprise. "Hunting." Well. . . kind of true.
That was not the answer she wanted. Bella's brows furrow with her disdain. "Edward, what's going on? And don't say that nothing is going on because even the rest of the family has seen the change in you."
Hell, why was he thinking about your fragrance? Likening it to standing at the threshold of the divine and savoring the ambrosial nectar that flowed through the veins of gods.
Had Bella's smelled like that? He couldn't recall.
He forcefully pulls himself back to address Bella. He couldn't keep lying to her. Bella deserved the truth. But it would hurt her once the words left his mouth. It would make everything more real to verbally acknowledge it.
"Bella. . ." Edward must have looked scared and pathetic in that moment. He could see his reflection in her golden eyes. Eyes he'd groan to begrudge. "I really don't know what's going on myself. . . but. . ." Sighing, he ignores the consequences that would follow. "I miss your humanness, Bella. Your softness. The warmth of your embraces. Your scent. . . It's-you're just- just not the same. And those were the parts that I fell in love with. Your humanity was what defined you. That delicate balance of strength and vulnerability that all comes with being mortal."
While he'd kept his tone as gentle as possible, that did little to stop the breaking of Bella's face as her lips curl and tremble. The delicate arch of her brows twitch in an attempt for restraint for despite all the emotions she was feeling, Bella's tear ducts no longer produced tears. As with all vampires.
A tremor passes through Bella. The essence of heartbreak etched itself on her face. "D-Do you still love me?"
In a moment of cowardice, Edward averts his gaze from her making the sorrow she felt boil into fury.
"Answer me, Edward. Do you still love me?" Her hands ball up into fists at her sides.
He struggles to find the words to encapsulate the complexities of his emotions.
The quietude of the cottage seemed to amplify the tension that hung between them.
Bella grits down on the back of her teeth, a burning force behind her eyes that made her desperate to cry. "After everything Edward. . ."
"I'm sorry Bella. . ."
