Enchanted ~ Caius Volturi One-Shot
~~~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N ~ this is probably my favorite piece I’ve ever written and I hope y’all enjoy it 💜 posting off moblie so I apologize for any formatting issues. Also this is dedicated to @felixschokehold and @mell1806-blog who helped hype me up to finally write something lol.
Word count ~ 1122
Summary ~ Your first kiss with Caius 💜
~~~
Caius had caught you walking home alone earlier in the night.
Again.
It had become quite a common occurrence for your roommate to leave you alone while she left different clubs and restaurants with strangers each night.
It did used to hurt your feelings getting left at various places, especially by her. But now you didn’t mind as much as it meant more time with your red-eyed creature who couldn’t seem to stay away from you. Just about every night he would find you, and walk home with you. Caius would gently loop your arm with his and scold you for how dangerous it was for a young woman to be walking alone at night. He never missed a moment to be alone with you, and tonight was no exception.
Sorta.
Demetri and Felix, who he described as his coven mates and in a way business partners were never far from his side. While they had been very polite in the few times you had met and gave you and Caius plenty of space, they honestly scared you more than you wanted to admit. But they were nowhere to be found tonight.
Thankfully.
Although deep down you knew they were close.
But as far as you knew, it was just you and Caius alone as you stepped into your apartment. A first time occurrence for Caius. As you showed him the small space he was quiet throughout, there wasn’t much to show. Two small bedrooms and one bathroom and then the kitchen that was connected to the living room. Caius was more curious about the space you occupied more than anything.
He curiously looked around your room as you got clothes for a needed shower, your voice filled the room as you randomly babbled about your day to him. His eyes scanned your bookshelf, which were mostly fantasy novels mixed in with various college textbooks. He ran his fingers over your unmade bed, along your notebooks filled with various subjects, and finally came back to your side to trace the bottom of your spine to the top. His cold hand made you shiver.
Setting your clothes down you turned around to face his direction. You couldn’t help but smile up at him. Eyes twinkled as you moved your hands to rest on his chest. “I’m really glad you are here,” You whispered to him.
Moving your arms you pulled him into a closer embrace. As his arms followed suit he replied looking down at you. “As am I, Mí Cara, you can learn many things about someone by the way they live. And you, for some reason, I cannot know enough of.”
Being so close to Caius almost made you dizzy. There was no heartbeat as your head rested on his chest. No warmth. Just his natural intoxicating scent. You had never been this close for it to hit you as hard as it is right now. You could stay here forever.
Thoughts of a shower knocked you out of the trance he had you in. You very reluctantly pulled away. “Let me take a shower and you can get to know me as much as you want.”
~~~~~
“It is quite rude to leave your guest waiting for too long.” He sighed, pretending to be annoyed as you sat down beside him. Caius lightly pulled you closer to his side, brushing a stray piece of hair behind your ear, before wrapping his arms around you. His amused smile came back as he looked down at your grinning face.
You couldn’t help but laugh. Time meant nothing to this creature.
“You’ve waited a long time for me, I figured a couple more minutes wouldn’t hurt.” You teased him back; Giggling as you pulled a blanket over yourself, and reaching for your phone to stream music on your TV.
Caius didn’t seem to produce any body heat or even retain heat, a blanket was definitely needed.
“Taylor Swift?” He questioned you. “I am not familiar with her music”
“Really? Never?” You were surprised, especially when he’s mentioned in the past he is a very old creature, with all that age, how could he be oblivious to her music?
“Well we will start out with my favorite song then.” Picking up the phone again, you put on Enchanted.
There I was again tonight
Forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity, shifting eyes and vacancy
Vanished when I saw your face
All I can say is, it was enchanting to meet you
A small sigh escaped you as you cuddled against Caius, letting yourself enjoy the moment. With one hand you grabbed him and intertwined your fingers. They were just as pale as the rest of his body, and just as cold. The longer you gazed at them the more you noticed what seemed to be… bite marks? Scattered all over. You couldn’t help the sudden worry that came over you. Who would hurt Caius like this?
“Those scars are very old and long since healed mía cara.” Caius assured you. His voice lifted your eyes to connect with his. They were a brighter red than when you last saw them. Similar to a flawless Ruby, if they could even compare to his beauty.
“These hands have seen many battles, and will possibly see many more conflicts to come. But I can assure you these hands will never bring harm to you.” He continued, while holding your gaze. His free hand came up to gently stroke your face.
“You have not been scared of my presence the entire time we’ve been in each other’s company, I would like to keep it that way. Which will be more difficult the more you see of me and know of me. Just know Mia Cara, you are one I could never bring harm to. You have my word.” Caius promised you. His red eyes were intense with emotion looking into yours. Those words genuinely came from his heart. It left you speechless.
Speaking of hearts, yours felt like it was going a million miles a minute. You could feel every beat, every rush of blood to different parts of your body. The mix of his words and the close proximity to you had such an effect on you. And he knew.
Caius kept his eyes on yours as he slowly moved in closer. His hand which had been stroking your face, had moved downwards and rested on your neck. Feeling your warm skin and the thud of your heart underneath. His breath was cool and intoxicating as it hit your face. You couldn’t wait any longer.
You closed the gap that separated your lips.
All I know is, I was enchanted to meet you.
The grand entrance hall of Volterra, Italy, echoed with the weight of centuries-old secrets and power. It was within these ancient stone walls that the Volturi, the ruling vampire coven, held their dominion. Aro, Caius, and Marcus, the three elder vampires who led the coven, sat upon their thrones, their crimson eyes filled with an ageless wisdom.
Their previous secretary had met an unfortunate end, her fate sealed by a single, costly mistake. Now, it was time to find a new secretary, one who could handle the delicate matters that crossed the Volturi's path.
(Y/n), a human with a reputation for competence and diligence, stood before the Volturi leaders. She pushed her glasses up on her face, the light catching the lenses and reflecting an intense determination in her gaze. She had no intention of failing in this prestigious role.
Aro, the most talkative of the trio, addressed her with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "I trust you won't follow in our previous secretary's footsteps. Her errors cost her dearly."
(Y/n) met Aro's gaze with unwavering confidence. "No need for the warning, sir. I take my work very seriously. I'm here to ensure that every detail is meticulously attended to."
Caius observed her with a critical eye, his expression stern. "You are aware that our affairs are highly confidential, and discretion is of the utmost importance?"
(Y/n) nodded, her resolve unshaken. "Absolutely, sir. My lips are sealed, and I understand the consequences of breaching that trust."
Marcus, the most reserved of the three, merely regarded her with a measured gaze. "We shall see if your actions align with your words."
(Y/n) straightened her posture, ready to take on her new responsibilities. "You won't be disappointed, gentlemen."
With that, she accepted the role of secretary for the Volturi, stepping into a world of secrecy, power, and ancient vampires. As she walked away, she knew that she had taken on a role unlike any other, one that demanded her utmost dedication and discretion. The reflection of her determination in those glasses was a symbol of the resolve she brought to her new position, one that she intended to uphold at all costs.
(Y/n) settled into her new role as the secretary for the Volturi with a fierce dedication. Her efficiency and attention to detail quickly became apparent to the coven's leaders. Aro, always one to appreciate those who could fulfill his demands promptly, decided to put her to the test.
One afternoon, he strolled into her office, his graceful presence demanding attention. (Y/n) looked up from her desk, her fingers flying across the keyboard of her computer as she organized files and scheduled appointments.
"Ah, (Y/n)," Aro greeted her with his customary smile. "I have a task for you."
(Y/n) nodded, ready to take on any request from her employer. "Of course, master Aro. What do you need?"
Aro explained, "I need you to post an aid about a tour for fifty people for tomorrows feeding, a rather impromptu event. I would like you to schedule it for me.”
(Y/n) didn't miss a beat. She continued typing on her computer, her eyes darting across the screen as she worked her magic with scheduling software. "Consider it done, master Aro."
Aro was taken aback by her speed and efficiency. He had expected this task to take some time, but within mere minutes, (Y/n) turned her screen toward him, displaying a perfectly organized tour for fifty attendees, complete with dates, times, and an itinerary.
His crimson eyes widened with a mixture of surprise and admiration. "You work remarkably fast, (Y/n)."
(Y/n) looked up with a confident smile. "I pride myself on being efficient, master aro. Is there anything else you need?"
Aro chuckled, clearly impressed. "Not at the moment, my dear. Carry on with your excellent work."
As he left her office, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. She had proven her worth to the Volturi leader, and her efficiency would undoubtedly serve her well in this world of secrecy and power.
In the serene garden of the Volturi castle, Marcus often found solace among the flowers that his late mate had once lovingly tended to. He wandered the garden, lost in his own thoughts, the weight of his immortal life bearing down on him.
One day, as he strolled along the carefully manicured paths, Marcus noticed something extraordinary. The flowers that had once withered away had begun to regrow, vibrant and beautiful as if brought back to life by some unseen force. He couldn't help but be struck by the sight, the memories of his mate's love for these flowers flooding his mind.
Marcus approached a lower guard who was on duty nearby, his curiosity piqued. "Who has been taking care of the garden? These flowers, they are flourishing once more."
The lower guard, a vampire who had served the Volturi for centuries, nodded respectfully to Marcus. "It is the human, my lord."
"The human?" Marcus asked, intrigued. "What is their name?"
The guard, who knew the human by the name the Volturi called her, replied, "The secretary (Y/n), my lord."
Marcus considered this revelation, the name sparking a distant memory. He had heard the name (Y/n) mentioned in passing, but he had paid little attention. Now, it seemed this human was not only tending to the garden but also reviving the memories of his lost mate.
With a nod of appreciation, Marcus continued to admire the blooming flowers, a silent acknowledgment of the human named (Y/n) for her care and dedication. In the garden, among the resurrected blooms, he felt a connection to his past and a glimmer of hope for the future, all thanks to the efforts of this mysterious human.
In the dimly lit halls of the Volturi castle, Caius, one of the coven's leaders, was growing increasingly frustrated. He had been searching for his favorite cloak, a luxurious garment of deep crimson, for what felt like an eternity. His irritation had escalated to the point where his voice echoed through the corridors as he yelled at everyone in his path.
"Where is it? Who has taken my cloak?" he bellowed, his tone venomous.
Vampires scurried to avoid his wrath, their wide-eyed expressions betraying their fear of their temperamental leader.
In the midst of the chaos, a soft and calm voice cut through the tension. "(Y/n)," Caius snapped, his crimson eyes narrowing as he turned to face the human secretary, "(Y/n), have you seen my cloak? I cannot find it anywhere."
(Y/n) stepped forward, holding Caius's missing cloak draped carefully over her arm. Her voice was composed, unruffled by his outburst. "Master Caius, you left this in your office. I've noticed it had specks of dried blood on it, so I've had it dried clean."
Caius was momentarily taken aback, his anger dissipating as he processed her words. He couldn't believe it. The usually distant and indifferent human secretary had not only found his cloak but had taken it upon herself to ensure it was cleaned.
"(Y/n)," Caius said, his voice softer now, "you did this for me?"
(Y/n) nodded, her gaze steady as she met his crimson eyes. "Of course, Master Caius. It's my duty to assist in any way I can."
Caius, still in disbelief, reached out to take the cloak from her arm. His fingers brushed against hers, and he felt a strange, unfamiliar sensation stir within him. He couldn't deny that her thoughtfulness had left a mark on him, one that he couldn't easily dismiss.
As (Y/n) excused herself and left the hallway, Caius watched her retreating figure with a newfound appreciation. It was a small gesture, but one that had touched him deeply, and he couldn't help but wonder if there was more to this human secretary than met the eye.
The grand trial room within the Volturi castle was filled with a weighty silence as the three kings, Aro, Caius, and Marcus, gathered for a discussion. The subject of their conversation was none other than their human secretary, (Y/n).
"She's good at her job, almost too damn good," Aro commented, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. "I can't seem to find a simple mistake in her work."
Caius nodded in agreement. "She's quick, and her work is effective. It seems we'll be keeping her around long-term."
Marcus, who often remained silent, offered his approval with a subtle nod.
The kings reached a unanimous decision. They would offer (Y/n) a gift, one that would bind her to the Volturi for eternity. They sent their most trusted enforcers, the twins Alec and Jane, to fetch her.
Alec and Jane, swift and efficient as always, found (Y/n) in her office. They approached her with the precision of a well-practiced routine.
"(Y/n)," Alec began, his tone even, "the masters request your presence in the trial room."
(Y/n) blinked in surprise but complied, following the twins to the room where the three kings awaited.
Once inside, (Y/n) stood before the Volturi leaders, her heart pounding with anticipation. Aro spoke first, his voice dripping with charm.
"(Y/n), in the short months you have been with us, your dedication and efficiency have impressed us greatly," Aro said, his crimson eyes locked onto hers. "We value your contributions, and we would like to offer you a gift."
(Y/n) couldn't hide her surprise. "A gift, masters?"
Caius stepped forward, his gaze unwavering. "We offer you immortality, (Y/n). A chance to join our coven as one of us."
The offer hung in the air, a life-altering decision that (Y/n) had never expected. She considered her options carefully, her thoughts racing. The weight of eternity was a heavy burden to bear, but the allure of becoming part of the Volturi coven was undeniable.
After a moment of reflection, (Y/n) finally spoke. "I'm not sure what to say, masters, but thank you for the offer."
With her acceptance, the kings nodded in approval. The twins, Alec and Jane, moved closer, their hands lightly touching her body. “Alec -“ aro calls out and in second Alec has (y/n) wrapped in his dark smoke, her senses numbing within seconds. “Don’t worry dear, it’ll be over in no time.”
Over the course of three days, (Y/n) underwent the agonizing process of the vampire transformation. She endured the fire of change, sometimes which were numbed by Alec per the kings request and now she was emerging from the ordeal as a newborn vampire, her senses heightened and her existence forever entwined with the Volturi.
As her eyes fluttered open in her new immortal life, (Y/n) realized that she had become a permanent part of the Volturi coven, her loyalty and dedication recognized in the most profound way possible.
If I were to hypothetically open requests for one shots/imagines for the Volturi, would anyone be interested?
I am a little apprehensive of how well I can write them, but I would like to give it a try. I tend to write on the longer side but wouldn't mind trying out shorter stories. I also... don't know if I want to write straight smut and post it directly to my blog, but I might.
Note: I will not write for Alec or Jane as they are minors, unless it is a platonic mate situation. Edit: I will consider writing for the twins if the AU is they're 16+, and no smut.
(Ok but like why is he like this, I am obsessed with this man, its not even funny anymore)
There I was standing in between Demetri and Felix along with the twins in front of the kings, apparently there's a last minute mission and almost all of the elite guards are going, except me. I tried not to show my anger but it seems Marcus noticed and he spoke up
“My dear, what anger’s you?”
I felt Felix grab my hand for comfort and I said
“Why can't I go with them on the mission, master?”.
Before Marcus could respond Caius took over
“You equal our four guards present, we do not need as much force for this mission, if the mission does take a turn then we will send you but as of now you are needed here”
I nodded and squeezed Felix hand in reassurance that I am okay.
The thing with me is I am a collector (as Aro has called it), with a touch I can have the gift of the vampire I touch without fully taking away the other vampire's power. Which is what makes me so powerful and what makes me a valuable member of the Volturi elite guard, I have so many gifts from the many vampires I have encountered in the past centuries.
Another thing to my peculiarity is my mate is Felix, the executioner and the prize fighter of the Volturi. We met many centuries ago when the Volturi was forming and he was the new member and just like any mate story when I saw him I knew we were meant to be. He is my other half and my reason for being.
Soon after the instructions of the mission were explained to the guards, they were preparing to go, I was sitting on mine and Felix’s bed watching him pack. This was something I have not grown used to even after the countless missions we would have to go separately, I hated being separated from him but duty calls.
Eventually he's in front of me on his knees since he is so tall and I'm really short, looking into my eyes. I rest my hands on his broad shoulders and said
“Even after centuries of countless missions, this is the one part I hate about them the most, being separated from you”
He gave me a small smile and grabbed my hand and gave it a gentle kiss with saying
“I know cara mia, it is never easy but I have no choice, but you know i'll be back before you know it”
I nod and pulled the same hand that is holding mine and gave it a small kiss, I gave him a smirk and said
“And when you come back we can have our fair share of fun”
I winked and he smirked in return
“Exactly mia amore”
I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him onto a hug. He wrapped his large arms around me in return and I smiled. We soon pulled away and he stood up, bringing me up with him and kissed me and then left for the mission.
_____________________________________________________________
Its been a month without Felix and its pure torture without him, there have been a number of trials I have been in and they all end up with me killing them in a second. Currently I'm in the library with Caius (he surprisingly took a somewhat liking to me), he is giving me ‘lectures’ about modern art and real art. I always listen and take notes while he talks because sometimes he does ask me questions on what he has said so far. I interrupted his lecture
"Caius, why do you think humans love modern day art so much?”
He stayed quiet for a minute and said
“I believe it's because it is closer to their timeline and the humans can make broader and deeper meanings when something is simple versus ancient art has a more easier meaning but has a more complicated but beautiful outcome”.
I nodded and agreed.
“I always thought ancient art is more exquisite and fascinating then modern art”
He looked at me with an intrigued look
“Why do you say that?”
“As interesting modern day art is, now a days you can splatter any color on a white canvas and it's called a masterpiece, when ancient art would take months or even years to complete but it is worth the result”
He nodded
“Yes, I agree with you, it is entirely mental to think such things are true with modern art”
I nodded, Caius, the most ruthless king of the three agreed with me, it's not a surprise or shock since it does happen quite often and we think alike sometimes. I think that might be why he tolerates me more than the other guards and his brothers. We continued with our talk until a lower guard came and said that the others had returned from their mission.
Once he said the "others" I ran toward the throne room and saw Felix standing in front of the kings with the other guards. He turned his attention to me and I had to fight the urge to jump in his arms at that moment for the reason we are in front of the masters. I instead stood next to Caius' throne which he sat in after I arrived. I gave Felix a wink and he had to fight an urge to smile in return.
Soon after the report was over and the guards along with myself were dismissed, and once we were in the hallway I jumped into Felix’s arms that were already opened for me. I hugged him tightly and I kissed him without a second thought, we must of kissed for a while because we heard Demetri teasing us
“Get a room you two” We pulled away from the kiss and I said to Felix “He does have point”
Felix chuckled but nodded, he set me down and we both raced into our shared room. Once we were inside I said
“Fe you have no idea how much I missed you”
“I missed you too cara mia, I almost lost my mind in the mission but Demetri knocked some sense into me and I remembered that you promised once I came back we would have our fair share of fun”
I laughed while he smirked
“Of course you would remember that Fe, I bet you just couldn't get it out of your mind but it motivated you to get the mission finished as soon as possible, no?”
He nodded “Of course, anything to be able to see you in all of your glory”
I wrapped my arms around him and looked up to him
“I also couldn't get the thought of what you could do to me when you come back from the mission”
He pushed me against the wall and he leaned against the wall with his arm and looked down on me with a smirk
"Oh yea? How about we make those thoughts realistic?” I nodded without hesitation.
In an instant we were both in bed naked and making those thoughts realistic, we did it for 5 days straight until we stopped and were cuddling with me resting my head on his chest with an arm draped over his stomach and he had his arms around me.
“5 days Fe, I mean i'm not surprised remember when we first became mates and we did it for 2 months straight”
“How could I forget cara mia, best experience ever but every time we make love its always the best and it feels like it's the first time”
“It does feel like it, I can never get enough of you mi amor”
We stayed in a comfortable silence until we heard a knock and a voice say
“Are you two done yet? The twins are no fun and I missed you two already”
Me and Felix chuckled at Demetri's whining and I said
“Yes we will meet you in the lounge in 5 minutes”
We heard a cheer and then retreating footsteps.
We got dressed quickly and ran to the lounge room where Demetri was at waiting for us like a child, he saw us and said
“Finally, I was starting to think you forgotten of me”
“How could I ever forget you Dem, your my best friend”
He smiled and Felix went to sit on the couch with Demitri while I sat on the coffee table facing both vampires. We just talked for hours until the twins joined us. Demetri kept the conversation going
“Can you believe that human that the Cullens have, she had the audacity to speak to us like she had some power over us”
I raised an eyebrow when he said that
“Bella? The human swears just because she's with the Cullens she can't be killed, one day she might just get killed and I might as well be the one”
Both guys smirked and Felix spoke up
“Of course you will be the one cara mia, after all the crap she's put you through and given you attitude, when we first meet her and she addressed you in such a way I would of killed her on the spot if it weren't for the masters”
I nodded “She does have some gut, I'll give her that but that will get her killed easily”
Jane piped up “Yes I agree, it makes me mad I can’t use my gift on her”
I smiled “I know Jane, but someday she will get a nice karma”
They all nodded and Alec spoke up “You know I never got the chance to use my gift on her, you think it would have worked?
“I'm not sure, maybe”
______________
Me and Felix are once again relaxing in our private chambers cuddling. I love to cuddle with him, with our height differences I always feel so protective and safe in his arms, I love to lay my head on his broad chest with an arm draped over his stomach with my leg over his waist.
Sometimes when Felix has a tough day with training newborns he likes to lay on my stomach or chest and he wraps his muscular arms around my waist, in his words 'You're so comfy mia amore and I feel at peace and closer to you like this”. When he said these exact words to me many centuries ago I literally melted, if I had an actual beating heart it would've skipped a beat. Sometimes he doesn't even have to tell me he wants to cuddle or I to him, we just know or I read his actual thoughts.
In a soft voice I said “Fe, can I ask you something?”
“Of course mia amore, what's in your mind?”
"Have you ever thought about wanting a kid, a baby maybe?”
There was a thick silence but I heard his thoughts “More than anything, i wish I could have a biological child with her, give her something she has always wanted” at hearing his thought I smiled sadly but he soon spoke up
“I have thought about it mia amore, I would love to have a kid with you only…”
“You wish we could have a biological kid together”
He stayed quiet for a minute “Yes but I would not mind adopting a child with you, it would mean we would raise a child together as our own”
“You think the masters would let us adopt a kid? you know how master Aro is when it comes to things like this”
“That's why we talk with the masters together”
I sat up looking down on him with a smile, “You really want to do this my love?”
He reached a hand out to my cheek caressing it “Of course tesoro, I always want to give you everything you ask of me, and I want this also”
I leaned into this touch “Ok then, let’s talk with the masters then my love”
I smiled at him and I felt like my eyes twinkled. He smiled in return and pulled me into a deep passionate kiss which I returned, he pulled me  on top of him and rested his hands on my waist while my hands ran into his hair. We pulled away and I said looking deeply into his bright red eyes
“I love you Felix, so much”
“I love you cara mia, forever and always”
As said before later in the day me and Felix went to talk with the Masters about wanting to adopt a child. I'm a bit nervous but I think they might say yes, me and Felix are the ones who do all of the heavy work around here.
We arrive at the masters library and we walk in holding hands. I saw that Aro looked up from a book and he gave us that creepy smile
“Ah dear y/n and Felix, what brings you two here?”
I felt Felix squeeze my hand and he spoke up “Me and y/n have a request, well more like a wish masters If I may say”
I saw that Caius looked up with a sudden interest in the conversation “Well go on, what is it that you wish for”
I spoke up with a small smile “Me and Felix have been talking about adopting a child”
There was that tense silence and I looked at all three masters waiting for them to say something, I even saw Marcus' eyes sparkle with interest.
Aro spoke up “A child you say? Why the sudden interest or why the request?
“Me and Felix have always wanted a child but with the status of being vampires we just lost hope on it a long time ago but with recent events we thought about adopting one (I saw that Aro was about to interrupt but I gave him a quick look) and before you say anything about our duties me and Felix will keep up with our duties and stay here still, we would raise the child here and with time when the child is of age we will turn them”
I saw Caius had an impressed look
“It seems someone came with a valid and persuasive speech, I taught you well y/n” I saw he had a very small smile.
I nodded “I learned from the best after all (smiling at him), so then what's the final answer then”
I squeezed Felix’s hand which he returned and then Aro spoke up
“I grant you permission to adopt a child, if you stay on top of your missions and duties as guards”
My eyes widen slightly and I looked at Felix who was already looking at me with a smile
“We both promise on your request masters”
All three of them nodded and then we ran out laughing happily, Felix even lifted me and spinned me around and he yelled
“We are going to be parents cara mia”
A/N: Should I make a part 2? I simp over Felix big time, he is the BFHG (Big Friendly Handsome Giant :). Anyways let me know if you want a second part. But the next one is going to be Alec (I also simp over this vampire).
It's all in the Costume
Tumblr media
It's all in the Costume : a poly!Volturi kings one-shot
Response to a request from @iloveslasher
Warning for four-way smut, 18 yo+ please.
You are the mate of a trio of very powerful vampire kings who co-rule the vampire world with an iron fist. To them though, you are their beloved human mate, the one who joined with them a year ago, willing and unafraid. Why would you fear them, when you love all three with all your heart.
They allowed you to remain human, but will soon discuss the need for you to accept the change. They love and care about you, and know your vulnerability as a mortal. They never wish to see you harmed in any way.
One day, you were in your room trying on your costume for an upcoming science fiction convention being held in Rome. You'd specially ordered the entire costume, your mates never denying you anything where money was concerned. You tried on the red satin dress with a full skirt that ended just below your butt. There was an overlay of black velvet that gave you small flairs hanging behind you, sure to draw attention to your backside when you walked. The finishing touch was a "Dracula" collar that wasn't attached to the dress, leaving your shoulders bare.
You pulled on a pair of black silk stockings that reached mid-thigh and tied to a garter belt with thin, nearly invisible garters. The length of the skirt and the height of the stockings left a few inches of bare skin showing. Lastly, you slipped into a pair of stiletto black heels. Your costume was complete. Only your hair and make up would need to be done on the day of the convention.
You twirled in front of the mirror, feeling very much like a gothic vampire. You needed to get into character though and had no one to play off. Maybe Felix would allow you to practice with him.
You were deep in thought while looking in your full length mirror, when you noticed the reflections of your mates standing behind you.
You turn to face them, then go to each to give them a welcoming kiss. "Good morning. Why are you here, Aro?"
"Do we need a reason to come visit our mate? We thought to see how you are, and find you dressed in..." He waves his hand up and down in front of you. "...this."
"I'm going to attend a science fiction convention in Rome Saturday with Felix as my guard." You smile at all three of your mates. "I'm a Gothic vampire," you explain cheerily.
"Who said you could attend this...convention, and in Rome?" Caius demanded. "We should be accompanying you."
You walk over to the blonde vampire and play with his shirt collar., kissing his cheek "Love, you would not enjoy yourself. In fact, I'm sure you would all hate it. Please, my darlings, Felix will be going with me, and he will protect me. He won't even need a costume. Anyone looking at him will think he's something...alien. He won't even have to wear contacts."
Noticing the sudden silence, you see all three of your mates looking over your costume, with the satin and lace dress barely holding in your breasts, and with the very, very short skirt and the thigh-high stockings that leave a few inches of bare thigh showing.
Aro tsks as he examines your outfit. "This is unsuitable clothing for the mate of the Volturi masters." His words don't match his reactions. You see him clenching and unclenching one hand. His eyes are dark crimson, telling you he does not disapprove of your appearance at all.
Marcus moves around you as if inspecting a prize horse. You follow him, turning with him until he stops in front of you, his eyes looking at you appreciatively. "It is a charming costume, my dear, " he says, his eyes darkening. Marcus is feeling sexually needy, but he is less inclined to show his need as overtly than either Aro or Caius.
You notice Caius staring at you, unblinking, his eyes having darkened to a deeper red.
"Is something wrong, my love?" you ask him.
His eyes rake up and down your body. He's made no secret of his desire lately to bed with you, but Aro has kept you busy with administrative tasks he allows you to work on around the castle to keep you from getting bored. Caius reaches down while you're trying to sway him, his hand caressing the skin bared by the short dress.
"The dress suits you, amore mio." Caius' actual goal is to remove it from you, and take you with all the pent-up passion built up over the past week.
Their passionate need for you is not hidden. Aro comes over to slip his arm around your waist. He gives you an all too innocent kiss on your cheek. Caius, on the other hand, stands on your other side and places his hand on the back of your neck, pulling you closer to kiss you with a desire that imparts his message. He wants you beneath him, his hard cock buried inside you while he teases your neck with his sharp teeth.
You look at all three of your mates. They have never taken you to bed as a group. Always, you spent time with each alone. The very idea of a foursome is already making you wet.
You need no words to tell your mates what you want.
You walk over to Aro and nuzzle his neck, the cold of his skin pleasant against your flushed skin. While you kiss him, your hands begin to unbutton his shirt, fingertips running down his chest, before you pull it off him and let it fall to the floor. When you pull back, you see his irises are black as night.
While Aro kicks off his shoes and socks, you move to Marcus, who has not budged at all. You offer him your lips which he takes with his in a passionate kiss. Your hands immediately divest him of his shirt as well. You feel his cool hands slide up and down your back. Turning away from him, you teasingly bend over to pick up both shirts and lay them on a chair. His eyes are now as black as Aro's.
Facing Caius, who has surprisingly proven to be more patient than usual, he pulls you to him with both arms, trapping you within his embrace. His mouth captures yours, sucking your breath inside his mouth. The soft noises you make spur him on, until he hears a protesting Aro.
"You may not keep our mate to yourself, brother, if she is willing to have us all." He holds out his hand to you and leads you to the massive bed the masters ordered for you on your arrival here a year ago. Up to now, you only ever shared it with one of your mates. Now it was going to be used for what it was built. You smile to think that it could be true.
"Caius, you prevented me from removing your shirt." You proceed to unbutton it, kissing his chest after each button is opened. "Kneel in front of me." Your eyes tell him its not a request. A smile slowly forms on his face as he complies with your command. Without warning, you place a shoe on his right shoulder and push backwards. He was unprepared for this and falls on his butt. He can see up the length of your legs and beneath the skirt, noticing the dampness on your red satin panties. The scent of your arousal wafts to him, causing his eyes to narrow in desire.
"Take them off," you tell him. You extend a leg whereupon Caius removes your heel and tosses it across the room. You repeat with your other leg, his hands removing that shoe and tossing it aside. This time he kisses the top of your foot before releasing it.
You turn to Aro, holding out your hands to him, your eyes demanding he come to you. When he does, you tell him to kneel and remove your left stocking. While he undoes the garter clip, you see Marcus standing to the side, jealousy written on his usually passive face. You wait until Aro has rolled your stocking down and off your leg.
Without a word, you step over to Marcus who knows what to do. He releases the garter clip and rolls the other stocking down while placing a kiss or two on your now bare leg, inhaling your sweet arousal. He takes the stocking and throws it over his shoulder. Placing his hands on your waist, he kisses your neck, grazing your skin with his teeth. You proceed to unbutton his shirt, and once it's open, you lick and suck on his nipples. Marcus throws his head back and groans, then tears his shirt off himself.
All your mates are nearly naked except for their black dress slacks. You have only the collar and short dress on. You reach up and remove the pointed collar. While all three men stare at you, you untie the bodice of the dress and let it all slide down your body to the floor. You're now clad only in your red satin panties with the garter belt.
Walking back to the bed, you crawl across the mattress, giving all your mates a tempting view of your rear. You lie back on a couple of stacked pillows to allow yourself to see everything. Caius is the first to approach the bed, with Aro and Marcus close behind. The three vampires join you, their hands caressing your bare legs, arms and torso.
Marcus lies on your left while Aro lies on your right. Caius is at your feet, his lips moving up your legs, kissing your warm flesh. When he reaches the center of your body, he takes off the garter belt and slips his fingers into your panties, pulling them off. You help by raising your hips off the bed briefly. You are fully exposed to your mate, who moves closer to your mound, inhaling deeply.
All you see now are three horny vampires with eyes black with desire and all hungry for you. When you feel a cold tongue slide between your lower lips, you arch your back and gasp. Aro leans over you and kisses you, his tongue between your lips since it is too dangerous for you to use your tongue in this manner. Marcus leans over your body, one hand caressing your far breast while his mouth carefully laps and suckles at the breast nearest him.
You twist your body in need, your senses beginning to become overwhelmed by what your mates are doing to you.
Caius has you so close to an orgasm, all you can do is breathe hard and whimper. "God, Caius, don't stop. I'm...so close." While he laps at both sides of your inner lips and sucks the hard bud of your clit, you feel him slide two fingers into your wet core, thrusting them in and out while his tongue continues its torture.
Finally, you cry out his name, your hips unable to stop moving while your inner muscles clamp on his invading fingers. You collapse back on the bed, your heart pounding in your chest. You reach up your hands to entangle themselves in Aro's and Marcus's hair.
Caius is about move to your side when you say, "Pants off!" Marcus moves the fastest and you grab his arm. In a low whisper, you order him to take you. "Fuck me, Marcus. Caius has prepared me for you. Now!" He needs no prodding, and positions himself over your body, then plunges into you, taking your breath away. He usually likes to get you used to his size, but not this time. He fills you completely, thrusting deeply.
You wrap your legs around his hips, pulling him down whenever he starts to rise off you. Aro kisses you, knowing he will be next. You feel Caius' cold hands kneading your breasts and arch your back into them.
An orgasm slams through you just as Marcus fills you with his cold seed. He is careful not to let his full weight on you, then rolls off you, his hand on your stomach while he lies next to you.
With other ideas, Aro lies on your other side, and pulls you on top of him. He brings your legs on either side of his hips, poking at your core with his hard and eager cock.
"Brother!" Caius protests angrily at being usurped. You reach out to touch his thigh, then wrap your hand around his cock, and begin to stroke it with a steady rhythm, tightening your grasp. He thrusts his hips forward into your hand and hisses with every other stroke.
You rise and fall over Aro, taking him into you as deeply as possible. When you start to circle your hips around, Aro's hands grip them, guiding them, rolling them while he thrusts upward, closing his eyes.
Feeling left out, Marcus moves behind you and slipping his fingers into your wet cunt, uses it as lubricant to push a long slender finger into your back hole while Aro fucks your cunt. You gasp and move your hips forward, until Marcus' finger slips out of you. Feeling empty, you push back against him and let him excite you as he wishes.
You pant loudly when Aro's cock causes you to climax hard, his thrusts only stopping when he cums inside you. "Miei dei, amore!" he cries out, before smiling up at you, opening his eyes to enjoy your pleasure expression, as he calls it.
He has barely moved from under you when Caius takes his place, pulling you back atop him. He thrusts in hard, his hands caressing your breasts.
Marcus slides up the bed to your left while you ride Caius, rubbing your back until he can tell you're about to climax again. Your hands press on Caius' chest, your nails unable to dig into his hard marble-like flesh. You cry out once before collapsing on your blonde mate, feeling him cum, his cold emission filling you.
The four of you finally rest, although your mates are fine. They know they can tire you out when you enjoy sex with them. This was more intense for you, and they assume you need rest, then perhaps a hot shower later to relax you.
You ask each of your mates to kiss you, telling them how much you love them. Each in turn whispers in your ear that they will love and adore you forever. Caius dresses and runs to the kitchen to get you a pot of hot tea. Aro cleans you up with a wet towel, while Marcus collects your scattered clothing, knowing you will still want to go to Rome Saturday.
oooooooooo
Saturday arrives, and you're dressed in your sexy Gothic Vampire costume, surrounded by three handsome vampires attired in their battle dress. No one at the convention knows these are real vampires, but they make such a fascinating foursome, many con goers ask to have their pictures taken with the Volturi masters and their human mate.
You laugh happily when Aro agrees to the first request, enjoying the sudden fame. Caius scowls until a pair of pretty young girls stands on either side of him, asking for a picture to be taken by a friend. He smirks and agrees, his arms draping around their shoulders, ignoring the smell of their rich blood.
Even Marcus is finding he has his fair share of admirers. This is very unlike anything he has ever experienced, but when he looks to you and sees you smile and wink at him, he acquiesces and allows costumed fans to have pictures taken with him.
You turn to Aro at some point and warn him, "Do not tell Felix we had fun, or he will hate me forever." Then you grin at him, flashing your fangs, causing Aro to roll his eyes. "Really, my dear?"
The End
Req for the volturi :)
Domestic 'snapshots' of life with the kings (seperate or not) and with the guards if possible? By snap shots I mean like short scenes of a regular day, watching them get dressed for trials, spending time w them, them finding you after trials and greeting you... etc?
I really enjoy your volturi headcanons :)
𝖁𝖔𝖑𝖙𝖚𝖗𝖎 𝖐𝖎𝖓𝖌𝖘 + 𝖙𝖜𝖎𝖓𝖘
I LOVE DOMESTIC SNAPSHOTS SO MUCH YOU DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND I'M DOING THE TWINS TOO AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME! In some of these you're human and in others ur a vamp (ps I write from the movie not the book so twins are aged up like the movies)
Aro
Sitting next to him and leaning your head on his chest, half asleep as he keeps talking about all the history he's witnessed, fighting sleep desperately because 1, it's interesting, and 2, you love listening to his stories
but his voice is just such a comforting thing to you after all this time together and the low gentle hum has you so relaxed and enchanted that you can't help but fall asleep (almost like he's doing it on purpose)
when you finally fall asleep he pulls a cozy blanket over the two and you before going to do his own thing
the loss of his comforting voice has you stirring awake, but he notices and just continues talking, finishing his story before beginning a new one and eventually fantasising about what the future holds with you
Marcus
It's almost lunch time for you and you get up, about to get some food but Marcus stops you; he has a gift for you. As he's handing it to you, you realise with a gentle smile what exactly it is your holding
a box of chicken flavour 'cup of soup' packets, the cheap one too and you can't help but beam at him suprised by the thoughtfulness
he remembered
weeks ago now - perhaps even months - you had been rambling about your childhood, upset at the prospect of losing what you hold dear with the soon vampire status you would have
reminiscing over the late nights with your mother when you were sick or it was a rainy day, having cheap cup of soups and curling under her bed covers together with a comfort film on the background whilst you talked and existed together
maybe to others a gift of pearls and diamonds or gold would have been more impressive but he listened and he cared
Caius
Here you are, sat trying your hardest not to laugh in your lovers face as he insists that he doesn't look like grumpy cat
the resemblance is too close you you and you know if you were human you would be wheezing out of breath as he tries and failed to put up an annoyed facade, an offended facade, which ilny makes them resemble each other more
"how on earth did it get stuck with you" he'd mutter quietly despite knowing you'd hear him no matter what, as his face splits into a grin and he can no longer hold his own chuckle back
it's ridiculous and not even funny when you think about it but moments like these with you always warms his soul
Alec
A muffled scream left you lips as you buried your face deeper into the nape of his neck. Honestly, why was he so insistant on speeding around with you on his back scaring you?
it was when he jumped over a particularly large river ravine that you flailed around a bit before he set you firmly on the ground
"give me a warning next time Alec!" you gasped, glaring playfully at his unrepentant smirk. He was up to something, definitely up to somethi-
Without time to finish your thought he scoops you up before scaling a perticularly tall tower, reluctantly clinging to him and burrowing into him impossibly further and ignoring his weak attempts to comfort you through boisterous laughs
he was right though- the view of the sunrise up here was well worth it and the rush of getting up here to see it had you feeling just as giddy as a teen in love
Jane
This had to be the most relaxed she had been in a long time
sliding her arms into the sleeves of her cloak she had to take a moment to compose herself before leaving, unwanting to show others just how happy you made her simply by existing
here you were, hair tussled and an absolute mess, eyes almost glued shut in sleep as you groaned dramatically at the thought of getting out of bed
you wanted a goodbye kiss but you wrongfully assumed Jane would be pitiful of this and give in
but no
she's making you work for it, ready to walk out the door of your shared room as you whine for her to come 4 freaking steps closer before her duty starts, state only worsened by the smug and and teasing smile painted on her face
just as she's about to give in one of the lower guards barges in disturbing the peace and she straightens up, before turning to him
realising he's in the wrong room he bolts put with a half baked apology and Jane is left to simply roll her eyes and press a quick kiss to your cheek before leaving, masking her smirk at your complain that "that's not what I meant! wan' a proper kiss" with annoyance for the lower guard she's about to hunt down
Twilight - Them finding you crying 🌧️ pt. 3
Warnings: Mentions of $uicidal thoughts, depression, insecurities, angst topics, fluff
Twilight characters x Y/N (Your/Name)
Go read part 1 and part 2!!!! GO GO haha
Victoria -
Tumblr media
She would watch you and Riley argue and just stay entertained until he slapped you. An anger building up inside her and pinning Riley to the wall, threatening him. Afterwards she came to you and cupped your face looking at every detail to see if she can see how bad the smack was. Smiling at you and letting you know that Riley won’t be coming near you with such disrespect.
Marcus -
Tumblr media
His abilities allowed him to see mates and he knew you were his, but would wait until you fell for him. But knowing you were his mate made him protective. When Caius was blaming you for letting a human free, he could feel your anger, none of the others believed you and that shot a pain throughout you, he noticed it and shook his head, telling everyone you were with him that night so you couldn’t have done such a thing, even if you weren’t actually with him that night. He needed you to not cry in front of everyone, it hurt him. Later on when you asked him about it he just sat with you and let you play with his hair as he spoke.
~”I don’t know where you were last night. But I couldn’t have you standing there with that painful expression. I want to make sure you’re safe at all times”
Seth -
Tumblr media
You came to him. He was with the boys out in the woods playing around when Jacob pointed you out. He immediately ran over to you and pulled you into a hug, spinning you around lightly, but when he put you down to see you crying he froze up. He was quick to wipe the tears and kiss your cheeks, letting you know that he’s there for you and will listen if you wish to speak. Once you told him what was on your mind he kissed you hands and pulled you into a more soft and warm hug, whispering slight praises to calm your mind down.
Kate -
Tumblr media
She had been out hunting and came back, into the kitchen washing some blood off her mouth by the sink, that’s when she heard the sniffles from in front of her, you sat on top of the kitchen bench, staring out the window with tears just casually rolling down your cheeks. She felt bad and dried her hands and face. Coming over to you and asking what’s up. Putting on her lip gloss while listening, only to boop a bit on your nose with a little giggle. Trying to make you smile, which she accomplished.
Vladimir -
Tumblr media
When he spotted you sniffling and looking up at the night sky before the fight with Volturi he sighed out of annoyance for becoming soft for someone. But came over to you and smiled, kissing your tears away, getting shocked by you suddenly laying your head on his chest and crying. He was hesitant but eventually patted your back and when you calmed down he pulled you back to the camp fire and let you sit on his lap to feel safe and protected.
Tanya -
Tumblr media
She spotted you run outside having what one could call a panic attack. She was worried and didn’t know what to do when she followed you. Tanya gently made you look at her and take deep breaths. Reminding you to keep your eyes on hers and not look away. Being patient with you as you slowly calmed yourself down. She gave you the sweetest smile and kissed your forehead, letting you just stare into her eyes.
Carmen -
Tumblr media
You were both out in the snow by her home and as she looked down in the silence between you both, spotting little water drops falling into the snow. She looked at you instantly and felt worried. Panicking almost. She took her fur coat off and wrapped it around your body, kissing all over your face.
~”Tell me Princess. What’s the matter? What’s hurting you so badly?”
Angela -
Tumblr media
You came by her house to help with studying as she was very intelligent compared to most students. It made you stressed that you couldn’t get it but didn’t notice until she asked if something was wrong. That question had you breaking down on her bed. She hurried over and hugged you. Soon it just ended up with you both cuddling and her playing with your hair and making sure you sleep peacefully.
Eric -
Tumblr media
He was crying at the same time as you, you were both emotional at the cute couple dating in one others arms in the film. He thought he was the only one being an emotional puppy until he heard your little sniffles. Eric was a bit taken back but smiled and let you lay you head on his shoulder as he kept his hand on your waist. Both of you enjoying the movie and his always checking that you’re alright.
Based on this request: Hi ! Is it possible to request something with Aro Volturi, please ? With Aro’s mate (newly found/turned), basically being a smart-ass and sarcastically kicking buts, and Aro behind being so proud behind her (kind of like Jake Peralta, “Chills, literal chills”) ? Thank you very much !
Here you go! I did change it just a little bit to better fit the flow I wanted with the story. *Familiar characters are NEVER mine!*
Fandom: Twilight
Warnings: None? Mentions of training, some fluff. Reader is sassy. Post books/movies.
Pairings/Characters: Aro Volturi x fem!vampire reader, mentions of the other Volturi leaders, The Olympic Coven.
Tumblr media
Aro heard what sounded like two boulders crashing together. It didn't take long for him to realize that two vampires were fighting. Whether it was a real fight or simply training, he didn't know, but he needed to find out. After all, he and his brothers were in Forks to check up on the Olympic Coven. They needed to be certain everything was being handled accordingly.
          The three Volturi leaders followed the sound of the fight until they came upon a large open meadow. One of the Cullens was laughing, clearly engaged in a mock fight with another vampire that the Volturi did not recognize. "Come on, Emmett! I thought you were supposed to be the strongest vampire here!" the new vampire sassed. Emmett laughed again.
          "You've got newborn strength on your side," he playfully pouted. You scoffed and rolled your eyes. "Excuses. Excuses. If you can't handle me, why don't you just-" you cut off as you turned your eyes on the newcomers. Your red eyes met Aro's and the leader nearly sank to his knees.
          Aro prided himself on his composure in all situations but one look at you had his undead heart nearly thundering out of his chest. A sense of loyalty and possessive protectiveness consumed Aro in an instant. There was only one thing it could mean. After thousands of years, Aro had FINALLY found his mate.
          "Aro. Marcus. Caius," Carlisle greeted. Edward and Bella, who had been watching the fight, were instantly on edge upon Carlisle's greeting. The two of them were still sharing a "them.vs.us" mentality of the Volturi after nearly 20 years since the incident of the trial about Renesmee. The others had calmed a bit more and Carlisle and Esme had attempted to repair relationships between their coven and the Volturi.
          Aro heard Carlisle's greeting, but could not tear his eyes off of you. You cocked your head to the side as a dozen emotions crossed your features at once. Edward grew even more on edge after a moment and Aro was certain he'd read your thoughts. The emotions of newborn vampires are intense beyond measure and Edward was probably worried as to what was about to happen.
          "C-Carlisle?" The leader of the coven turned his attention to you, earning a soft growl from Aro. Carlisle froze, glancing between you and Aro for a moment. His eyes lit up in understanding. "Oh. Aro, is she…?" Aro didn't reply so Carlisle turned to Marcus, who nodded after using his gift. "I see. Y/N, this is Aro, a dear friend and one of the leaders of the Volturi. Aro, Marcus, Caius; this is Y/N."
          "Well, there goes my sparring partner," Emmett grumbled, causing you to raise a brow at him. "Surely the leaders of the most powerful coven in the world see the need for training?" Carlisle glanced at Aro again. "Of course they do, Y/N. But as Aro's m-" The vampire in question shot Carlisle a look telling him that now wasn't the time. You crossed your arms over your chest and frowned. "I don't like being kept in the dark. What is going on here?"
          Everyone in the Olympic Coven tensed as you stared at Aro. He was honestly surprised at your courage. The air grew more tense as you waited for someone to respond. Everyone could see that you were ready to run or fight if someone didn't say something soon. Your newborn emotions were beginning to get the better of you until Jasper sent a wave of calm in your direction. Aro had never been more grateful for the empath.
          "You are right, mia regina," Aro began slowly and softly, as if you were a frightened animal. "Stop messing with my emotions, Jasper. I'm in control," you stated before turning your attention back to Aro and asking, "What am I to you? Why are you looking at me like I hung the moon in the sky?" Aro wanted to chuckle. You were intelligent too, or at the very least, highly observant.
          "Maybe we should give them a moment," Carlisle softly suggested, "Though Jasper could stay, should he need to." You rolled your eyes again. "Dammit, Carlisle, I am perfectly capable of managing my temper. I'm not some hormonal teenage girl on her period, but if you keep walking on eggshells around me, I'm sure I could convince Jasper to make you feel like one." Used to your sass by that point, Carlisle chuckled and motioned for the rest of the Cullens to leave. Marcus and Caius followed, leaving you and Aro alone.
          You turned back to Aro with your arms still crossed over your chest. For a moment, neither of you said a word and Aro could see that you were becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the silence. He didn't want that, so he spoke. "How long have you been one of our kind?" You arched a brow. "A few months. I-I don't have a gift, if that's what you're after. Edward said-"
          "That boy is vexing at the best of times and overly dramatic at the worst. He is fortunate I respect my friendship with Carlisle. Yes, the Volturi pride ourselves on our guard and their gifts, but that has nothing to do with this, mi amore." Your face scrunched in an adorable manner as you processed what he said. "Then what is this exactly? Because I'll be honest, I am completely confused as to why one of the leaders of the Volturi is looking at me the way you are now."
          "How much have you been taught about the life of a vampire?" You shrugged and answered that Carlisle had taught you quite a bit. "I see, and has Carlisle spoken to you about mates?" You instantly froze. It was obvious that you immediately understood what Aro was getting at. "You don't mean that I-I mean…that I am your mate, do you?" Aro nodded. "You are. Surely you can feel it? Though, with your rather…intense newborn senses, you may not fully understand what it is you're feeling in the moment."
          You paused for a moment, staring at Aro intently. Aro, for his part, waited rather impatiently for you to say something. "What happens now?" you finally asked softly. Aro so desperately wanted to order you around. Tell you that you would come to Volterra with him without a fight. But something told him that would not go over well. He didn't want you to be unhappy or feel like you were forced into the situation.
          "I understand that the world has a lot to offer to a new vampire. It pains me to think about being apart from you, but if you wish to explore the world for a while after your newborn year is finished, you could. I would ask that you keep in touch, however. Not knowing that you are safe would be…It is not something either of us should wish to experience."
"Or, and hear me out, you could join me?" you suggested. Now that your mind had processed everything, you were able to think rationally. Aro blinked for a moment in surprise before smiling. "I suppose that could be arranged." You beamed up at him, but the smile quickly faded from your lips. Aro was about to ask why when Emmett reappeared, launching himself at you. You caught the bigger vampire by the arm and tossed him deeper into the woods. Then, after blowing a kiss to Aro, you chased after Emmett. Aro watched you go with a look a pride all over his face. That was his mate.
(a/n: I hope this is what you were looking for!)
Why cullen reader got her gift
Tumblr media
In your human life, your uncle had been a traveler and collector of animals
From domesticated animals to exotic birds he had owned them
And as his only niece, you received many pets for your birthday
Even at a few months old animals acted strange around you
Birds would gather outside your closed window where your crib faced and your uncles pet dog would lay near your crib and growl at anyone it perceived as a threat
This pattern grew more when you had grown older
Your father once took you with your brothers to witness him hunt deer in the local forest
You were extremely distressed at seeing the deer in a panic and when it was shot down you screamed bloody murder as if you had taken the bullet yourself
Your gift only increased after your sickness with Scarlett fever almost became fatal
Carlisle would observe you from afar as you wandered the woods and one day he watched as you approached a wild wolf only to pat its head and send it on its way
This sealed your fate in Carlisle’s mind as he saw it as another sign that you must be turned
When you were turned and locked away, your gift was one of the only things that brought you comfort as you would bring the birds to your window to sing you songs to ease your sadness
When you were turned you gained the ability to control and communicate with animals
The negatives to that was you formed a connection with these animals so if they were put under distress or injured while under your control, you would feel it’s pain and fear
You quickly found this out when your family forced you to force a deer to approach them so they could feed, once they sank their teeth in you felt it as if it was your own neck
You preferred not to use your power to hunt animals as you didn’t want them to to experience pain or distress
Carlisle would take this as a possibly punishment for you so if you committed a grave error in judgement, he would make you take control of a small animal and would then kill it
You were given this power because your soul intertwined with the spirits of animals as if fate knew before you that you would be treated like a pet too
With this power your face slightly adapted to give your eyes a more wide, doe like look which always made you look even younger
You slightly disliked your power because you saw it as you robbing the animals of freedom, something you always craved
The Volturi had a great interest in your power, not for battle but for their entertainment
Jane and Marcus liked the songs of the birds you would bring to their windows
Aro and Caius liked to see you control giant beasts of animals and talk to them as if they were simple house pets
Alec enjoyed seeing your kindness and care towards the animals, it was rare for him to enjoy anyones kindness but your gentle nature made you an exception to him
Felix and Dimitri loved to have you help them mess with each other by using the animals to prank each other
Caius and Alec would love to see you use your power in battle but the others forbid them
You didn’t know it at the time, but your power would one day aid your escape and the start of your new life
Tumblr media
TwiFicmas23 Day 5: Smoke & Mirrors
Tumblr media
Good evening!
Tonight is a snippet from an upcoming one-shot, Smoke & Mirrors. It's a canon AU where Alice ended up going South as soon as she wakes up, and ends up being a competing Southern Warlord. It's meant to be a fun little one shot, set around Breaking Dawn, but needs major edits and rewrites, so I thought a snippet from the OG draft might be fun.
I'm half asleep, so I'll bid you all adieu and I hope you enjoy this!
smoke & mirrors.
Here’s the thing about the Southern Wars.
You ended up knowing everyone who lives long enough. Jasper knows Matteo, Carmela, and Rodrigo far better than he’d like to know people he tried to kill for half a century. He knows Lyric from Baja is a chameleon who wefts and weaves herself into whatever army holds the strongest territory; he knows Tomas as someone who really needs to be put down for good but he’s just so likeable everyone ignores his less appealing ‘hobbies’. And Katya who has fought for seventy years yet never actually killed anyone (Matteo is a soft-touch when it comes to Katya, that’s an open secret.)
At any one time, he knows someone who can kill, kidnap, rob, acquire, destroy, or duplicate anything in the known world. He tries to keep most of that close to the vest, preferring for the Cullens not to know that if shit comes to shove, he can have Bella abducted and in a safe house in less than 12 hours without a single trace, let alone anyone linking it to the Cullens.
Hell, if Carlisle ever wanted a Pope’s skull to adorn his study, he knows a guy. It would cost a pretty penny and probably take the best part of a month, but he could make it happen. The same way he’s gotten more than just Cullen paperwork from Jenks; or that at least sixty percent of the cash he’s allocated annually goes towards helping those same old ‘friends’.
It should also be noted that ‘friends’ is used ironically - other than Peter or Charlotte, any one of those people would kill him without a second thought if he was no longer useful. He feels the same about them. At a certain point, all the shit they went through and survived created some strange kind of respect and understanding. Veterans on opposing sides of a war.
(It also needs to be noted that for all of the shit that has rained down on the family since Bella Swan tripped and stumbled into their lives, that he probably could have called in a favour for an extra set of hands. But Peter and Charlotte were unavailable, and calling in that kind of favour set a precedent he hadn’t wanted to deal with at the time, so he’d kept quiet and gotten the job done himself.)
Which is just a fancy way to say that when Irina bursts in and admits she told the fuckin’ Volturi about Renesmee, the Immortal Child, he’s already flipping through his mental Rolodex of assets to get them out of this mess. It’s a more practical option than, say, snapping Irina into bite-sized pieces to give her time to think about her actions.
This is a problem. A big one. The more he thinks about it, the worse it gets.
It’s the first public trial that the Volturi has held since the Wars (he was only a few years out of being a newborn, and he barely remembers in it through the haze of bloodlust and irritation, trying to keep the freshest newborns contained and civil as the Kings ruled Helena a dangerous criminal and scorched the entire coven from existence. He remembers Maria being quiet for a few days afterwards, but the specifics of the entire event were lost to him.)
And that trial was only Caius, Aro, Dimitri, and the Twins. The Cullens’ charges (exposing themselves with the van incident, telling Bella, Edward’s attempt at exposing himself in Volterra, the whole Victoria debacle, waiting more than a year to change Bella, Charlie Swan, and now a hybrid child) were… difficult to challenge.
The entire court was coming.
(Sometimes he wonders if his role in this family has become that of the fixer. The one that is constantly bailing out the sinking ship, patching holes, and making sure all arms and legs are inside the proverbial vehicle - St Cloud, Dell Rapids, Senoia… Thirty years of that and, well, he’s getting tired.)
He gets up and disappears when Irina arrives, make-up smeared and emotions pinging off the walls like super balls, even though he knows what’s coming. He can practically sense it now.
(The thing about the Southern Wars is that, even after you turn your back on it, you never seem to stop fighting some kind of battle.)
//
It’s less than six hours before everyone has to be informed of Irina’s faux pas, and it goes about as well as Jasper expected.
He sits on the stairs as Edward and Rose and Carlisle argue, Jacob making unhelpful comments as he eats some vile human snack, and Irina looks vaguely ill and he wonders what the fuck Irina was thinking. If she wanted answers, justice, she should have come straight to the Cullens. This wasn’t so much as overkill, as nuking the planet from space after an oil spill.
(He also wants to know how exactly she left Volterra to warn them. Did Aro dismiss her? Send her? Did she just slip out and hope no one noticed?)
The rot is truly set in with the Volturi; he’s heard Maria’s rants about them, about how power curdles and corrupts. How it becomes less about protection and more about control. And when you have vaults and vaults of money and jewels and artwork and books, you look for something much, much rarer and unique to collect. Something that cannot be bought or stolen. They are no one’s benevolent overlords, no loving fathers of their people - they are a bullet fired wildly into a crowd, striking down the slow, the ignorant, and the vulnerable.
Very, very rarely do the actually guilty fall. That’s why this is such a bitter pill to swallow, such a disaster - Aro is coming for a trial, with the biggest audience he can find, to cull the Cullens and pick over the carcass. Justice and honesty and truth have no place here.
(Helena was no criminal. Just trying to salvage a terrible situation her very best. Whomever fed her to the wolves was more of a criminal than Helena ever came close to being. She was nobody’s enemy.)
This is bad, very bad.
Emmett comes over to him, his normally jovial expression replaced with something that was both tired and solemn.
“This is a mess,” Emmett says, and that’s his brother. Always the diplomat.
This isn’t a mess. He can clean up messes.
He offers a nod, and they both look over as Rosalie sends something flying - an ugly ceramic egg the size of a soccer ball that is nobody’s favourite, so the only one who flinches is Jacob.
“We don’t have many options,” he finally says, and he feels the flutter of Emmett’s hope and relief against him; this is what his brother wants. Jasper’s bailed them out of the last… three of Edward’s debacles, of course the family veteran has an escape hatch already planned and built, a way that they get to keep their heads.
(He wants to warn Emmett, the eternal optimist that he’s really only flipping names over in his head, working out who will give them the best advantage. Who owes him and who he already owes and who is nearby and who he can get in touch with the fastest. Do they need witnesses or an army or some combination of both?  There are a million balls in the air, even though the answer is right there because he wants to double check and make sure that he hasn’t missed anything - a better choice.)
He heaves a breath and he doesn’t want to do this.
Of all the old friends he could call on, she’s the name that is right below Maria’s on the list of people he doesn’t want to owe a favour to. Calling her or Maria in right now is the equivalent of hitting the big red self-destruct button.
But he continues to roll that choice around in his mind and it’s the right choice. She’s the right choice.
And even if he thinks that a couple of decades in the catacombs of Volterra would teach Edward and Bella to be a hell of a lot less selfish and self-absorbed (and let the kid be raised by someone with a little more life experience, like Rose or Esme), the rest of the family doesn’t deserve to go down with them. Stupidity isn’t a crime. Carlisle’s love for his son isn’t a crime.
“Let me make a call.”
Peter is glad to hear from him right up until Jasper explains why he’s calling - Edward, the child, Irina, the Volturi.
“Is now a good time to mention that Yuri’s set-up camp permanently?” Peter asks, the strain in his voice obvious.
No. No it’s absolutely not, but it puts more pieces into place, that maybe the Volturi are looking for more than to simply put the Cullens into their place. Yuri’s little clan of followers that ebbs and flows have transitioned from Hong Kong to Tokyo to Osaka. One of the great smugglers, he’d done deals with Maria for centuries and the fact that Yuri has left his home for America implies many, many things about the Volturi’s reach.
He wonders if Li Jie is even still in China. If Li Jie has fallen, that would explain a lot.
(Politics is a dirty word in their world. Carlisle refuses to engage in it, and he understands - sort of. For all their
“He run into any kind of trouble?” He finally asks.
“Not that he mentioned. Just said something about American hospitality. Just a heads up - he might need papers or shit. Where do you need me?”
That was Peter - and Charlotte - in a nutshell. There was nothing they wouldn’t drop to help, to swoop in with an extra set of hands.
“I need you to track someone down for me,” he says, leaning against the wall. “We’ll need you at the trial, but there’s someone who I need to make sure this…” Doesn’t turn into an irreversible shit-show. Remember when Carmela tried to take Baja, Peter? That’s small potatoes compared to what the Cullens have brought down around our ears. We need a hail-Mary, miracle kind of help.
He explains what he needs carefully; what direction he thinks might work the best. He’s going to need to blackmail and bribe Tomas to make an appearance because if it comes to a fight, Tomas will go down with teeth and nails still slashing and take a very pretty pound of flesh with him.
Peter is silent on the other end of the phone. “Major, you’re asking for a miracle,” he says finally. “No one has heard from her since she fucked off. If she’s still alive, she can’t possibly be in the US anymore. And I can tell you that she’s been written off as dead for decades by almost everyone.”
“I don’t believe that.” He can’t. Both Plan A and Plan B involve her presence, no one ever wielded an army like she did. He needs her insight, he needs her skill, and he needs her reputation. “And neither do you.”
Silence and the sound of someone fumbling at the phone.
“Jasper.” Charlotte’s on the phone now. “Peter’s being dramatic, we can look but we’re going to need…”
“I’ll transfer the cash straight away. We need the fastest possible turn around, Char. We don’t have enough time.”
Charlotte sighs. “We’ll do our best, Major.”
It’s two days later when some semblance of… well, not a plan, but a direction is coming together. Tracking down the right people was half the battle, but he was nearly certain that he’d get confirmation today.
The rest of the family knew he was working on something, some way to get them out of this mess that wouldn’t humiliate Aro, or call into question the validity of the laws as a whole. Carlisle was very clear that they didn’t want some kind of political uprising or rebellion. Just enough time to explain Bella’s pregnancy, confirm that it was entirely unplanned and not some kind of master plan, and part as friends.
Jasper wasn’t holding out much hope for that last part.
Gathered around the dining room table - the family’s war room, when such a thing was needed. Jacob was somehow still eating, and Irina had remained in Forks  - she had clearly decided that Carlisle’s brand of ‘I’m not mad, just Disappointed’ was preferential to going back to Alaska, where Tanya and Eleazar would be waiting to rip her a new asshole - proverbially - for going anywhere near Italy. Let alone without even talking to the Cullens before she started throwing around wild accusations.
It had been a long week that was only going to get longer - which he could see in the tension of the rest of the family.
“The first thing you need to accept is that this isn’t a trial.” His voice is flat and unfriendly. The child is cradled awkwardly in Edward’s arms, holding onto some mercifully silent toy, fixated on it. He absently wonders if drowning it in the bathtub would be a suitable penance to stop Aro in his tracks.
But the look in Edward’s eyes at that stray thought is enough. And then Jasper wonders, idly, if this devotion and attachment to the child will last; after all, vampires don’t have offspring. They have no instinct for a dependent child - the connection between a vampire and their creator was nothing like that of parent and child (especially an infant), nor was the connection between coven members. There was every chance that any maternal connection to Renesmee that Bella had would fade after her newborn year, and decay the further she left her humanity behind.
If they survive this, it’ll be an interesting case study, if nothing else.
“There is every reason to assume that this ‘visit’ is intended to be an execution,” Jasper continues, and Esme flinches. “I can’t predict whether Aro will opt to sentence some of us, or all of us, or what his plan is. But the plan is for someone to die for this. To put us in our place. That is why he’s bringing an audience - to bear witness to our crimes. And before you say it Rose, we’re guilty by association - the fact we didn’t eliminate Bella after the van accident is a crime in Aro’s view.”
Rosalie frowned, and he could taste her worry on the air.
“Our best course of action is to gather our own witnesses so that the trial is fair,” he continued. “That the baby is not an Immortal Child, but someone who grows and evolves, and therefore can change and learn. And to remind all three of the Kings that Aro was aware of the van accident, Bella’s knowledge of us, and the incident with James when she was in Volterra. We were given permission to continue as we were to minimise notice from the community. We weren’t charged with any crimes then, and it would look… unseemly to retroactively charge us now.”
“So what do we do?” Jacob asks. Irina looks strained, her hands teasing at a piece of ribbon.
“I have a contact that I will be reaching out to,” he said grimly. “She’ll be an asset if she’s willing to help us and if I can find her - she’ll have contacts to other potential witnesses, insight into this visit from the Volturi, and stand as a completely neutral witness.”
“And a Southern Warlord,” Edward sounds aghast, and Bella scoops up the child, her hand smoothing down the red curls. “You’re bringing one of them here?”
“You aren’t considering bringing Maria to Forks?” Carlisle asked uneasily.
“That would be…” Rosalie began, already getting agitated.
“A slaughter,” Edward finished, and Jasper resisted the urge to roll his eyes at them. As if Maria didn’t have the control to move about the human world; generally, Maria only pulled a ‘Calgary’ when she was trying to make a point.
“It’s not Maria,” he said through clenched teeth. “I have some old contacts from the South who can assist us. I’ll need to be in Louisiana by Saturday morning to try and convince her.”
Carlisle still looked uneasy but Rosalie had backed off. Edward was still scowling.
“If you prefer, I can just drown it and hope that buys us some grace?” Jasper said, his tone prickly, and both Bella and Jacob let out sounds of horror - Bella thrusting the baby at Esme to try and approach Jasper with violence in her eyes, but Edward grabbed her before she could get any closer.
“That was unnecessary,” Esme said disapprovingly, her hand cupping the back of the child’s head.
“And dramatic,” Edward is gritting his teeth and resisting the urge to punch Jasper himself.
“I am trying to protect us,” Jasper replied shortly. “I am trying to get us out of this with minimal loss of life. Frankly, I don’t have much hope for Irina or Edward or Bella or … Renesmee, but if there is the slimmest possible chance that I can keep the rest of you alive and free, I will take it.”
Silence.
“I can get you a flight to New Orleans Friday night,” Rosalie said, and that thread of fear was back.
“Make it two,” Edward said, releasing Bella. “I’ll come with you."
“No.” Jasper said.
“Jasper, it might be wiser to go in pairs,” Carlisle said. “In these circumstances, I don’t think setting off alone is ideal.”
“No. It’s a bad idea.”
“Yes. You said it yourself - we have to convince her. If I know what she’s thinking, we can use it. And I want to meet our ‘saviour’,” Edward said, sarcasm and irritation pouring off him.
“She’s not known for playing nice with others, Edward,” Jasper felt tired, as if his brother was being as difficult as he knew how to be on purpose. “And she can sniff out an agenda before you’ve even opened your mouth. If you want someone to accompany me, Emmett’s the best choice.” Emmett wore his emotions on his sleeve, and the most complex agenda his brother had ever had was to replace Rosalie’s ruined Louboutins before she noticed they’d been destroyed.
Hell, he’d probably befriend her, and that could only help their cause.
“Edward is the best choice,” Carlisle said reluctantly. “He can give us insight, even if she refuses to help.”
Carlisle’s not wrong and Jasper hates it. She’s going to need delicate handling, and Edward rarely takes advice from anyone who isn’t Carlisle. The absolutely last thing they need is for Edward to make demands or threats and piss her off. Then they’ll be dealing with an angry veteran and the Volturi.
“Fine.” His tone is enough to let everyone at the table that he is not happy. “But I need to take the lead. Pissing her off with just make more trouble for us. And if we fuck this up, Maria is our next option. And you know Maria will want her pound of flesh if it works out in our favour.”
That is a proper threat, a tangible one that the entire family sans Bella feels the weight of; Irina looks wary and Jacob looks confused.
“We will follow your lead, Jasper,” Carlisle says finally, with resignation. “Edward will go with you.”
“The rest of you should reach out to any friends we have. Anyone who will witness the trial. No one is obliged to fight on our behalf or even stay - but they can meet Renesmee and see that she isn’t an Immortal Child. That we did not break the laws.”
He looks at them. “This isn’t so much about Renesmee or Edward and Bella. This is about the Volturi exerting their power. There is no justice in the Volturi, not anymore.”
just like me | one-shot.
Requested: I would love to see a one shot between twilight again (because I’m back on rereading them). I would like to see one between the Cullen clan and the reader where she is actually a blood bag for aro and them and when Edward goes to Italy to sacrifice himself they see her and realize she has the power to change reality despite being human and try to save her.
Warnings: fluff and angst
Pairing: Jasper Hale x black!reader
Word Count: 3.5k
Tumblr media
You supposed that it could’ve been worse. Not much worse but considering the other option was dead, it could’ve been worse. Instead, you were a living blood bag. It started when your parents got suckered into some tour for the whole family and were given very cheap, nearly free, tickets to explore Volterra, Italy with a guide. The family was already going to Italy because that was where your grandparents had retired to before they passed away. The tour was meant to cheer everyone up after the tiny funeral. Instead, it resulted in the funerals of everyone else.
You first entered Volterra when you were seven. Many years later and you never left. You hated being the baby of your family but it saved your life that day you went on the palace tour. Marcus had decided that it was wrong to kill you, to kill something so young. Aro placed a hand on your shoulder to guide you further inside the palace when he stopped.
“What is it?” Caius asked.
Aro laughed maniacally. “She has a gift.”
“She’s human.”
“She is but I’m not looking at our palace, I’m in the middle of a farm.”
The Volturi realized that scaring you so young had awakened a power that would have probably only been discovered if you were turned into a vampire. Whenever you were upset, your parents always said to think of your happy place. That was easy. It had always been your grandparents’ farm in Italy. The entire time that the Volturi was feasting on unsuspecting tourists, you were thinking of your happy place until it felt real and you weren’t scared. Now, it was real to Aro until he pulled his hand away.
At first, you had a place in the guard. They decided that they would turn you when you became Jane’s age. And then a few months later, when you were running through the halls, you tripped and scraped your knee. Jane had enough self-control to not kill you, she didn’t have enough to not taste your blood. You were, as described by the entire Volturi, delicious. And soon the date of your turning moved from Jane’s age to when you became Aro’s age. It gave them plenty of time to feast on you before they never could again.
With enough training, your powers developed to work without being touched. Not without a catch. You had been conditioned and trained to never use your powers against them. You never tried because the reality couldn’t be held long enough for you to escape. Over the years, escape wasn’t even a thought anymore.
You were sitting on Marcus’ throne in the large room, finishing up an essay for class. If you went to regular school, you’d be a senior. Your eighteenth birthday was celebrated with Caius drinking your blood before putting on a cloak and supervising you leaving the castle for a day out. But instead of Caius, it was Dmitri who came over to where you were sitting.
Edward had gone to Italy after hearing Rosalie’s thoughts. She didn’t mean to think about it but she was there when Alice suddenly said she couldn’t see Bella’s future anymore. It wasn’t anyone’s fault that Edward had decided at that moment to visit the family that he had been avoiding for weeks. They couldn’t get him to stay long enough to persuade him that trying to end his life over Bella wasn’t the way to go. He marched into the room after a brief hello to their human secretary only to pause as he saw you in Marcus’ chair at the end. Edward only grew more confused as Dmitri pulled your arm away from you and rolled up the sleeve.
“Go to your happy place,” Dmitri told you.
Edward couldn’t help but look into your mind when you didn’t scream out in pain as Dmitri bit you. It was like you weren’t even in the room. He was staring at a farm where you were chasing ducks back to a lake. He pulled himself out of your mind to watch Dmitri bite you again to suck out any venom from his first bite, earning a hiss and some tears from you. Aro finally came into the room as you came back to your senses when Dmitri shook you hard enough.
“Edward… where are the rest of the Cullens?” Aro asked.
“They’re home, in Alaska.”
“Alaska?”
“Carlisle felt people were questioning his age, we decided to move early.” He lied.
Marcus and Caius walked into the room followed by Jane who moved to stand next to her brother. Edward felt a bit sick as he looked through everyone’s minds trying to find more information about you. The only person, from what he could tell, that never fed on you was Marcus.
Marcus did everything to make your life as pleasant as possible since saving you. He was old when he was bit and never had much strength. Aro listened to him but only for so much. Because you knew about the vampire world, you weren’t allowed to leave them but Marcus fought to keep you alive and then fought to keep you human. The old man had a heart. Plus, he was tired of being a vampire— but was also too scared to beg for death. It was never a life he wanted.
“Then, how can we help you?” Caius interrupted Edward’s prying.
“I, uh, I came to beg for death but I think I changed my mind. I should go back to my family.”
Aro pursed his lips. “Yes, you should. You know we don’t like killing our kind unless absolutely necessary. But do tell Carlisle to come by and bring your sister next time.”
Edward merely nodded. Aro still thought he could get Carlisle to come back to the Volturi. He wanted Edward and Alice in his guard. Edward already knew that Aro would house the entire Cullen Clan if it meant he got the two vampires that he really wanted.
“(Y/N)!” Aro called. “Go with Marcus and make sure Mr. Cullen leaves safely.”
Edward huffed out a laugh. They thought he was going to do something stupid on his way out and force them to kill him. Before he saw you, he was going to. He couldn’t stand the thought of being alive while  Bella wasn’t.
But now, Edward had one thing to do before he killed himself. Call it his final act at redemption for his damned soul. He peeked into Marcus’ mind as the vampire escorted him down. It wouldn’t be hard to overtake him, Edward was sure of it. But it seemed the old man had other plans. Marcus pushed you towards Edward when you reached the entrance.
“Go.”
You looked back at the building.
“This chance won’t come again. Aro won’t move against me.” Marcus looked to Edward. “Your family will take care of her, right?”
“Of course.”
“Good. Go, go now.”
Edward grabbed your hand and left. It wasn’t the easiest to get you out of Europe. He knew that you had to leave Italy before Aro could start a manhunt to find you— Marcus could probably only hold him off for so long. So, you and Edward were on a train to Switzerland where Carlisle knew a family friend whose family was responsible for helping them forge papers and certificates over the centuries.
He already messaged them to have a passport ready when they arrived. All they would have to do is add your picture to it. He wanted to talk to you, find out more about whatever happened, but you seemed tired. Not that he didn’t understand. Edward supposed that he also wouldn’t have any energy if he was constantly used as a blood bag.
The rest of the Cullens were confused when the only message they got from Edward was to go home, their real home in Forks. Moving wasn’t hard when you were a vampire but they still were confused as to why. The only relief they got was the fact that he was alive and apparently so was Bella— Alice messaged Edward as soon as she confronted the Swan girl. Their faces immediately turned to the door when they smelled their brother and a human… that was Bella? Something seemed different about the blood they smelled. It was more citrusy somehow but it drew them in all the same.
Jasper realized that he still must not have had too much control because Bella’s blood was calling him more than it ever had before. Rosalie just huffed in annoyance. Her brother was back for all of two minutes and he already sought out Bella. She was ready with a snarky remark when the door opened only for her mouth to make no noise. Edward led you inside, saying it was alright. He took you straight upstairs and to his room.
While you got dressed, Edward explained what he saw to his family. You came downstairs in a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt— both things that Edward left for you. You just stood awkwardly at the edge of the stairs until Esme beckoned you over. All the vampires took in a breath as they stared at your bare arms. You were littered in scars of bite marks. Edward didn’t realize it was that bad. He immediately handed you his jacket after reading your thoughts— you always wore long sleeves because of the marks.
Jasper could feel your fear rolling off of your body. You didn’t feel comforted at all. You didn’t know these people or what they were capable of. You were given from one group of vampires to another. Carlisle went to place his hand on your knee when they noticed you flinched. He immediately pulled back.
“No one here is going to do what they did to you.”
Jasper couldn’t take it anymore, the way the fear kept rolling off in waves. It was so bad that even Edward could feel it through Jasper’s mind. The honey blonde vampire sent a sea of calm your way. All of the Cullens jumped when their living room was replaced with a farm. Edward was the only one who had seen it before.
“Jasper, stop calming her.”
The moment Jasper stopped, the farm was gone. The one question of why the Volturi kept you around was no longer a question. To have powers as a human was a rare and incredible gift. For someone who didn’t like to get too close to humans, Rosalie immediately took you upstairs to grab a new shirt and then go to bed. Jasper moved to sit next to Edward when you left.
“Is that what Bella smelled like to you?”
“Did you just…”
It all made sense why Alice didn’t try nearly as hard as everyone else to stop Edward from heading to Italy. She saw you coming. Jasper’s mate. The next thought Edward had was echoed by everyone. Jasper’s mate was human like Bella yet was both more fragile and more powerful at the same time.
Because Rosalie, Jasper, and Emmett were pretending to be a year older than their siblings, they didn’t have to go back to school when the weekend finished. Forks easily re-enrolled the others and— much to Rosalie’s dismay— Edward was back with Bella before the end of the week. You were in your room. When they found out that you were the age that Alice and Edward were pretending to be, they asked if you wanted to finish the last few weeks of senior year in a real school. You didn’t. You didn’t know people. Everyone new was either hostile or a victim. You didn’t want to see anymore victims. The Cullens heard you leave your room around midnight to eat but hadn’t actually seen you since the first night.
They had begun communicating with you with notes under the door and eventually text messages once Esme managed to sneak in a phone while you were sleeping. She tried to make meals for you and leave them outside your door. Jasper had taken to sitting outside your door and making you happy. He liked that whenever there was a flood of emotion that he could see the farm as well. However, your nightmares scared the Cullens. You were strong enough to turn the whole house into Volterra and they were forced to live the nightmare with you. That was usually when Jasper would go upstairs and stay outside your door for the rest of the night.
No one saw you come downstairs until it was time for a graduation party that was mainly thrown because of Bella. Alice had texted you that humans would be there as well as Edward’s girlfriend-recently-turned-fiance. You weren’t sure if you still trusted the Cullens but they could’ve broken down your door and bit you whenever they wanted. If they hadn’t then they probably weren’t going to feed on any of the party guests. The Cullens said that you were a family friend visiting, not that any of the other seniors cared.
Jasper stayed close to you the whole night. It was more for protection than anything. The last thing they needed was you sending everyone to some forest in the middle of nowhere or the dungeons of Volterra. He kept you calm but not too calm that you sent everyone to your happy place. You were ushered outside by Jasper, where he could still keep an eye on you while talking to Jacob and the others about what Alice just saw.
The wolves were only half paying attention as they focused on you. None of the Cullens were offering an explanation. You were human from what they could tell. And very shy. You didn’t speak at all and you didn’t seem fazed by the mentions of newborns and vampires in general. It was weird. They only caught your name at the end when Rosalie asked if you wanted to go back upstairs. It was something that they couldn’t let go when they showed up on the Cullens’ territory to learn how to fight.
“They want to know about (Y/N),” Edward said.
You were sitting in the Jeep, not wanting to get out of it. Carlisle informed the wolves of the latest addition to their family and the situation that you were found in. The pack felt angered. How could anyone do that to a person? Edward and Jasper couldn’t blame the wolves for the extra anger that came off of them. The Jeep had gotten a bit hot so you took off your jacket, not able to stand the heat anymore. Eventually the car was too hot and you got out to join Bella sitting on the hood of the car.
You drew everyone’s attention as the sun shined upon you. In just a tank top, they could see every bite mark that went from your wrists to your shoulders on both sides. Bella jumped down to talk to and pet Jacob. While the others continued training, Jasper walked over to where you were.
“I’ve got them too,” he said, letting his thick Texan accent slip out.
Jasper rolled up his sleeves. He let you grab his arm, your fingers delicately tracing the bite marks that littered his skin as well.
“Did they use you too?” you asked.
Everyone stopped what they were doing. This was the first time that you spoke. Jasper blinked. Your voice sounded like soft wind chimes, his favorite sound. They all heard their favorite sounds somehow. Your power over reality extended past sight ability. Jasper recovered after a moment.
“No, I got all these after I was turned. I was the youngest major of the Texas Calvary in 1861.”
You raised an eyebrow. “1861? That’s the Civil War, the Con—”
“I was a spy for the Union,” Jasper said quickly before you pulled your hands away.
“You should start with that.”
“Apologies, ma’am.”
You listened to Jasper tell his story. He didn’t seem to mind as you poked at his scars and compared them to your own. It shouldn’t have given you peace of mind to hear a story as tragic as his but it was nice to know someone out there shared a pain similar to yours. Jasper took a chance and grabbed your hand, tracing a scar on your wrist with his thumb.
“I was seven,” you said, feeling his hold tense up. “The first bite doesn’t hurt much but you can always feel the second when they’re sucking the venom out… I’ve always hated them.”
“They’re battle scars.”
“Yours are battle scars, I was just a blood bag. There’s nothing brave about that.”
“I beg to differ. Surviving all those years with the Volturi, I’ve never met anyone braver in all my time.”
After Jasper showed you the scars that covered his arms, you started wearing short sleeves more. The Cullens were excited to see you downstairs for meals. You often stuck by Jasper’s side. He found that he was able to control himself around you with no problem. Probably because he never wanted to see you get hurt again. When the battle commenced, you were told to stay home and not leave. The Cullens came back and Jasper immediately went to find you.
He sat on the edge of your bed as you examined his arms for new scars, not finding any. His golden eyes met yours. It was driving him crazy, being so close to you without making a move. He knew how you felt about him. It was a small crush, nothing compared to how he felt about you. It certainly wasn’t the rush of emotions that he felt off of Bella when she met Edward. You seemed to be taking your time in developing anything.
He had to admit that he kind of enjoyed it. It gave Jasper the chance to learn more about you. It certainly appealed more to Rosalie that you and Jasper were slowly progressing unlike Bella. She also liked that you had no desire to be like them. It was probably inevitable because you were Jasper’s mate. But you were content living for a few more years as a human. You had enough bites to last you a lifetime. On some level, Jasper didn’t seem to want to push it. From what Edward could read and from what Jasper told the Cullens, he was content only getting a single life with you. If you never wanted to turn into one of them then he wouldn’t force you. He’d watch over you until you grew old if that was what you wanted.
Jasper grabbed your hand. This was normally the part of the night where he poked at each bite mark before telling you goodnight. If he wasn’t hunting, he would spend half the night with his family before going to sit outside your door and get lost in your dreams. Sometimes, the others would join him and enjoy the fantasy worlds that seeped past your doorway. But Jasper couldn’t just let it go tonight. He took a chance and pressed a kiss to the bite on your wrist. He smirked as he heard your heart race a little.
Jasper moved to kiss the next scar, doing the next one until your entire left arm had been kissed. He moved to the right side, chuckling when you flopped over onto the bed. Your emotions were a mix but all positive. Jasper hovered over you as he kept kissing each scar until he reached the last one on your right shoulder, near your collarbone. He paused for a moment as he looked down at your lips.
The Cullens were reading— playing the piano in Edward’s case— when they smelled oranges and lemons. Citrus scented the air and soon they could hear wind chimes and birds chirping before the living room turned into a grove.
Jasper felt like he was touching grass rather than gripping the sheets of your bed. He leaned down, gently slotting his lips between yours. You smiled into the kiss as your hands slowly went up to cup his face. Your emotions were on one hundred and gave Jasper a sort of high, especially as he smelled the fruits in the grove. He pulled away feeling a bit drunk on more than just the taste of your lips.
“Goodnight,” Jasper whispered as he moved from on top of you.
“Goodnight.”
You covered your face with your hands and just laid in bed for a moment. You hoped it wasn’t a one time thing. Maybe you weren’t ready to make any official moves but you did want to be kissed by Jasper every night before bed. The grove turned back into the Cullen home as you fell asleep. The rest of the Cullens didn’t have to be mind readers to know what caused it— the look on Jasper’s face was enough to let them know.
And they didn’t have to go upstairs to get the little movie that was your dream. For once, it was seeping into the entire living room. Jasper’s entire family looked on in loving disgust as the living room turned into your bedroom and they were forced to watch Jasper kiss up and down each of your arms.
“We need to teach her how to control her powers,” Emmett commented. “I’m gonna die if I ever see you two having sex.”
Jasper shoved Emmett off the couch, going back upstairs as your dream disappeared but the scent of citrus came wafting from underneath the bottom of your bedroom door.
↳ bonds beyond blood ↲
➘ summary : the three volturi kings are proud that their mate is getting along so well with their top guards
➘ aro x reader x caius x marcus, twilight x reader , volturi x reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the heart of Volterra's ancient citadel, where shadows danced and history whispered through the stones, the Volturi reigned supreme. Aro, the charismatic mastermind; Marcus, the contemplative soul; and Caius, the unyielding enforcer, ruled with an iron grip, their names synonymous with power in the supernatural realm.
But the immortal facade these kings presented to the world belied the intricate web of emotions they harbored for one human: (Y/N), a woman whose presence ignited a transformation within their centuries-old hearts.
The tale began on an unassuming evening, when (Y/N)'s fate collided with that of the Volturi. Lost in the labyrinthine streets of Volterra, she wandered into their world, unaware of the enigma that awaited her. Aro's gifted sight caught the glimpse of a mortal, a fragile soul amidst the immortal world. Intrigued, he beckoned her forward, a single interaction setting in motion a destiny no one could foresee.
As (Y/N) stood before the thrones of the three kings, her heart pounding, she couldn't ignore the inexplicable pull she felt. Aro's penetrating gaze, Marcus' contemplative demeanor, and Caius' unyielding aura seemed to draw her in, weaving a connection she struggled to understand.
The kings' curiosity grew as they observed her, each captivated by the essence she brought to their lives. Aro's laughter became more vibrant, Marcus' rare smiles more frequent, and Caius' stern façade softened in her presence. A silent understanding flowed between them, forging a bond that transcended human limitations.
While (Y/N)'s presence changed the kings, it also ignited an unexpected kinship among their loyal guards. Alec and Jane, the gifted twins who once struck fear into the hearts of enemies, found in (Y/N) a maternal figure they had never experienced. Her warmth and wisdom touched the depths of their immortal hearts, transforming their relationship into one of unwavering trust.
Felix, the formidable protector, discovered an unexpected gentleness in (Y/N), a trait that resonated deeply with his own spirit. Demetri, the master tracker, admired her determination, finding a kindred spirit in her unwavering resolve.
But it was Alec and Jane who held the most unique connection with (Y/N). With their childlike appearances frozen in time, they looked to her as a maternal figure they had never known. (Y/N) nurtured them with her wisdom, guided them with her love, and in return, the twins showered her with unwavering loyalty and adoration.
In the shadowed halls of the Volturi castle, an intricate dance of relationships unfolded. Kings and guards, vampire and human, became bound by bonds that defied tradition and expectation. (Y/N) stood at the heart of it all, an unwitting catalyst for change and unity.
As the days turned to nights, and (Y/N)'s presence continued to weave its magic, none could anticipate the challenges that lay ahead. Threats both old and new would test the strength of their bonds, and the very fabric of their existence would be shaken.
But in that moment, as the castle's stone walls whispered secrets of centuries past, the Volturi kings and their beloved human mate reveled in the newfound harmony they had forged. They were yet to understand that this harmony would become their greatest strength in the trials that awaited them.
In the heart of the grand Volturi castle, (Y/N)'s presence continued to illuminate the lives of both kings and guards. The bond she shared with Aro, Marcus, and Caius flourished, growing stronger with each passing day. It was a connection that transcended time, defying the very laws that governed their supernatural existence.
As (Y/N) navigated the intricacies of the immortal world, she found herself drawn into the lives of the twins, Alec and Jane. Their once-uncertain existence had transformed into one filled with warmth and acceptance, all thanks to the woman who looked upon them with the eyes of a guardian. She provided guidance, friendship, and a motherly love they had never experienced.
Alec and Jane, once feared for their devastating abilities, now wielded their powers with control and restraint, a testament to (Y/N)'s patient guidance. They had found in her the stability they needed, a figure of trust they could confide in and look up to.
Felix and Demetri, too, had been touched by (Y/N)'s presence. Felix's exterior, once unyielding, softened in the glow of her compassion. He had found solace in her calming influence, a touchstone of gentleness amid the tumultuous world he inhabited. Demetri, with his unerring tracking skills, marveled at (Y/N)'s strength and resilience. He respected her as an equal, an ally, and a friend.
As days turned to nights and the castle's halls echoed with secrets, (Y/N) embraced her role within the Volturi's inner circle. The kings, once distant figures of power, now confided in her their thoughts and hopes, their fears and aspirations. Their bond with her had opened a door to vulnerability, allowing them to share a side of themselves that had long remained hidden.
However, the tranquility that (Y/N) had brought to the Volturi world would soon be disrupted by shadows that lurked on the horizon. Rumors of a rising force, one that sought to challenge the very foundations of their rule, began to circulate. It was a threat that no one could ignore, and the unity forged among kings, guards, and their human mate would be put to the test.
As tension mounted, the intricate relationships woven within the castle walls would be shaken to their core. Loyalties would be questioned, and the limits of love and friendship would be pushed to their breaking point. The kings and their newfound family, bound by love rather than blood, would have to stand together to face the storm that approached.
And so, as the sun dipped below the horizon and cast long shadows across the ancient city, the Volturi prepared to confront a challenge that would either strengthen their bonds beyond measure or shatter the delicate harmony they had built. (Y/N)'s presence, once an unexpected thread in the fabric of their lives, would prove to be the source of strength that held them together in the face of adversity.
Within the towering walls of the Volturi castle, a sense of anticipation hung in the air. As (Y/N) moved through the grand halls, her steps were now accompanied by an underlying tension. The threat that loomed on the horizon was palpable, casting a shadow over the unity she had helped foster.
The kings, Aro, Marcus, and Caius, convened in their private chamber, their expressions etched with a rare mixture of concern and determination. (Y/N) was there, a steadfast presence amidst their deliberations, a living testament to the bonds they had forged.
Aro's eyes gleamed with his usual curiosity, though there was an edge of worry that betrayed his usual confidence. Marcus, ever the observer, seemed to contemplate the future with a weight that surpassed his years. Caius, the embodiment of authority, clenched his jaw, his resolve unwavering in the face of impending conflict.
Beside them, Alec and Jane stood, their faces a mirror of their guardians'. The twins who had found a maternal figure in (Y/N) were now mature beyond their years, their commitment to the family they had formed unwavering. Felix and Demetri flanked the group, their expressions a mixture of vigilance and readiness, ever prepared to defend those they held dear.
As the kings deliberated, (Y/N)'s gaze shifted to the window, her thoughts a whirlwind of emotions. She had become a part of this intricate tapestry, her life interwoven with those of kings and guards alike. The unity they had cultivated was a source of strength, but it was about to be tested in ways they couldn't predict.
News had reached the Volturi of a faction that sought to challenge their dominion, a group that believed their way of life was threatened by the kings' rule. The realization that their world could be on the brink of upheaval sent ripples of tension through the castle's inhabitants.
With a sense of resolve, Aro turned his gaze toward (Y/N), his voice steady yet tinged with urgency. "My dear (Y/N)," he began, "we are faced with a challenge that demands our unity. The bonds we have formed must not falter in the face of adversity."
Marcus, his usually somber eyes showing a glimmer of determination, continued, "We have faced countless challenges throughout history. Our strength lies in our ability to stand together."
Caius, the embodiment of authority, spoke with a conviction that sent shivers down the spines of all present. "We must protect what we've built, even if it means confronting those who seek to undermine us."
And so, a plan began to take shape, a strategy that relied on the unique strengths of each individual. (Y/N)'s role in this impending conflict was not to be underestimated; her presence had already proven to be a beacon of strength, a source of inspiration for those who fought beside her.
As the sun dipped below the horizon and cast long shadows across the castle walls, a sense of anticipation settled over the Volturi stronghold. Bonds forged through love and shared purpose would soon be put to the test, as the unity of kings, guards, and their human mate stood against the gathering storm.
And as the first drops of rain began to fall, (Y/N) braced herself for the challenges ahead, ready to stand by the side of those she held dear and face whatever trials fate had in store.
Okay! Yay, if you're okay with it and would be willing could you write a one shot about Demetri's mate and they have anxiety and whenever it gets bad they scratch at their arms and then one day they're having an anxiety attack (maybe the reader is in school and is overwhelmed with all their homework?? or maybe there's tons of newborn guards and one tried to hurt the reader?) and Demetri is on guard duty so they have to calm down on their own instead of having him there and they start scratching and draw blood which obviously is noticeable given theres vampires and Demetri comes back to the room and calms them down and stuff?
Of course! Here you go :)
One Shot: Demetri Volturi x Mate with anxiety
TW: Anxiety attacks, self harm (scratching), name-calling, slight physical assault and mentions of bruises.
A/N: It’s been 4 years since the last one shot I wrote, so I’m sorry if it’s not the best.
You slammed your bedroom door behind you as your breathing became more labored and your vision was starting to blur from the tears welling up in your eyes. You had just wanted a book. Demetri was on guard duty and you were bored. You never had a problem wandering around the castle alone, you got along with everyone there despite being the only human- even Caius liked you- but there were a couple of new guards who were only about a week old and they didn’t like you. They thought it was unfair to them that a human could roam freely around the castle and they were confined to one room, and no matter how many times it had been explained to them, they still would throw insults at you whenever you walked by. You never were bothered by it and would usually just brush it off. Today was different though. You were on your way down to the library and while passing the room the newborns were in, you felt a hand grasping your arm. You looked up and saw the black eyes staring down at you. You remembered his name was Trevor, and before you could ask him to let go he yanked you closer before speaking.
  "You know, with Demetri on duty there’s no one around to protect you. Not that you would be protecting anyways. You mean nothing to him. He most likely will end up having you as a little late night snack. You’re just a weak little useless human-”
You flinched as he fell down, screaming in pain. You glanced behind you and saw Jane with her gaze fixed on the floor where Trevor was. You felt the familiar feeling of your heart rate speeding up and the tightening of your chest. You thought about staying there and thanking Jane, but instead you tore off before she could even take a step in your direction. You somehow made it from the bedroom door into the bathroom, as you noticed the floor had gone from a hardwood to a white marble. You leaned against the cabinet behind you and tried to focus on your breathing, but it only seemed to get worse. You felt like the walls were closing in on you. Was Demetri really just going to kill you? Did you mean nothing to him? You didn’t realize you had been scratching at your arm until you saw a few drops of blood fall on the floor. You wanted to stop, you knew you had to, given you were in a castle full of vampires but your body wouldn’t let you. Your mind kept replaying what Trevor had said to you, it was like a broken record. Your vision only got more and more blurred as you continued to cry. You kept scratching, not able to stop yourself until you felt a cool hand on yours causing you to jump a little.
  “Amore? Amore, look at me,” Demetri had his hand wrapped around your scratched up arm. “You’re okay, you’re safe. Can you tell me 3 things you can see right now?” He asked softly.
 "Um, um,” You struggled to even speak, trying to move your arm from his grasp. “I see you, and my towel hanging up on the hook,” You managed to take another breath before continuing. “And the stain on the wall from when I spilled hair dye on it.”
  "Good, good job cara mia,” Demetri leaned forward, placing a kiss on your forehead. “I’m proud of you. Jane told me what happened, darling. I’m sorry I wasn’t there but I can assure you they won’t be bothering you anymore.”
"Do you think I’m just a useless human?” You whispered.
"Absolutely not, amore. You’re not useless at all, you never have been. You are the love of my life and I would do anything for you. What he said wasn’t true and never will be.” He wiped a tear from your cheek. “But baby, we talked about the scratching. I know it’s hard so I don’t expect you to be able to stop instantly and I know there will be times you relapse with it and that’s okay. Just let me know and we’ll fix it and start back at square one, okay? Baby steps."
"I'm sorry, I’m so sorry for getting upset. It's just so hard to calm down sometimes and I find if I scratch enough that eventually the pain brings me back.” You bite your lip and keep your gaze down, trying to avoid eye contact.
You felt him place his fingers under your chin as he gently lifted your face up to make you look at him, you forced yourself to meet his gaze.
  "Never apologize for your emotions. They’re valid, and I’m not mad at all. We’ll find some ways to calm your anxiety down when I’m not around that don’t involve hurting yourself but for now let's get you all cleaned up and then we can watch a movie. Sound good, darling?”
"Can we watch The Lion King?” You had been begging him for weeks to watch it but he kept refusing since he thought the “singing animals” were not normal, as if he wasn’t a literal vampire.
  “I suppose,” He sighed. “If it makes you happy, then I will suffer through singing lions, but I won’t enjoy it.”
  "Don’t be such a Scar.” You tease, walking into the bedroom and jumping onto the bed.
  “Wait, who is Scar?” Demetri asked, following you and laying down beside you . “Is he the bad one?”
 You choose not to answer him and instead wiggle your way into his arms, laying your head on his chest as you press play on the remote.
  "Who’s that singing? Is that one of the lions?” He questioned as the first song began. “Wait, why is the monkey holding the baby lion like that? Is he going to throw him off?”
You roll your eyes, ignoring his questions and finally realizing what Felix meant when he told you watching movies in peace with Demetri is impossible.
Author's note: The drama is getting started 😏 _____________________________________________________
“He’s not making any progress, Aro.”
I stared down at the floor; Caius sat to my left as Aro sat stone still as the doctor’s words met his ears. “What does that even mean?” His eyes wide. “You’re giving up on him?”
The doctor let out a sigh, “No-“He paused glancing towards Caius. “But his body has been through so much and he’s still losing blood. The surgeon has gone in multiple times and after a while, enough is enough.”
It had been 6 weeks since Marcus was ambushed – his prognosis becoming worse as the days pressed on. It seemed like almost every day there would be a blood transfusion flowing through his IV. He was still in a coma-like state, his body starting to wear out from the constant stress. He had been to the OR countless times or had some sort of bedside procedure going on to figure out where the bleeding was coming from. When the surgeon thought he found the source, his blood work showed otherwise.
Aro stayed silent – the look of horror and sadness present in his dark eyes. “You just need to do whatever to make sure he comes back home.” His voice deep and threatening.
The doctor slowly nodded his head, already knowing that there was no way Marcus was going to come back home. Aro knew that his brother was far from recovery but the thought of not having Marcus around drove Aro crazy. He leaned on his brother too much even though he was the one that “called the shots.” Marcus was the older, wiser brother. He was the father figure Caius needed in his life – I could tell he really looked up to his older uncle.
The room turned silent as the doctor made his way out. A tense air filled the dark space, Aro’s body rigid with fear and anger. I glanced over at my husband, his blue eyes boring a hole into the floor, his thumb racking against his jean clad leg. I sat there just as awkwardly, not really sure what to say or to even talk at all.
“I know my brother-“Aro spoke. “He’s fucking strong and resilient.” Caius let out a scoff, pulling a cigarette from his blazer pocket. “Have something to fucking say, nephew?” Aro’s eyes directed on the blonde.
Sitting as close as I was, the anger could be felt as it rose from Caius’s body. During the past week or so, the atmosphere around Caius and Aro, especially while together, was problematic. They were more hostile towards one another – fighting and arguing more. Last week, they were practically at each other’s throats. “He’s fucking dying and you’re over here praying for a fucking miracle.”
“Caius.” I warned. His head turned towards me, shooting me a warning glare back.
Aro sat back in his chair, his arms folded as he looked at the future of the family. “Maybe if you were with him, you would have been the one that was shot. I guess then I would be saying the same about you.” His voice eerily calmer.
“If I was with him, he wouldn’t have gotten shot.” Caius forced.
“Trying to tell me something, nephew.”
Caius just shook his head, removing himself from the couch. I watched as he stormed through the office doors, the wood slamming back into place. I let out a sigh, turning to look back at Aro. His face showed no emotion, a trait that Caius inherited as well.
“He’s such a stubborn bastard.” Aro finally spoke after a few moments. “Can’t tell him anything.” I stayed silent – not wanting to speak on the subject.
“When was the last time you ovulated?”
My head snapped in his direction, “Excuse me?”
Aro settled back into the chair, “When was the last time you ovulated?”
“First of all-“ I started. “I don’t think that’s any of your concern and then secondly, I don’t track those kinds of things.”
A smirk formed on his face. “I guess a better question would be when was the last time you and Caius fucked?”
I was disgusted. “That’s definitely none of your fucking concern.”
His brown eyes turned dark, “When it comes to carrying on the Volturi name, it is my fucking concern.” I kept silent. “You were brought into this family to give my nephew the son he needs and deserves. You have one fucking job, Vanessa.” His eyes glaring in my direction. “If I were to hear that you’re taking birth control or having my nephew use fucking protection-“He paused, chuckling to himself. “Well - let’s just say it won’t be good for you, my dear.
“Are you threatening me?” Our eyes connecting.
The smile on his face widened, “Darling Vanessa-“ He slowly rose from the chair, stalking towards me. “I’ll make sure to have Dr. Miles see you this evening. You know-“ He stood over me, my heart pounding in my chest as he stood at eye level. “Just to make sure everything is in working order.”
“And if I say no?” I pushed.
He stood straight, “Wouldn’t want me to bring back Victor, now would you?”
His smile disappeared as he calmly walked out of the room, the silence swallowing me whole…
I watched as he moved his arms up and down, the heavy weights causing his muscles to strain with each push. Caius was silent for most of the afternoon – only grunting or having one-word answers when asked something. His outlet was cigarettes and barbells. I sat in silence as he walked around the gym, his eyes trained on himself in the mirror. The tension from before still present in his body, not giving up as easily as he would have liked.
“Aren’t you bored?” His breathing ragged.
I shrugged my shoulders, “There’s nothing else to do around here.”
Shaking his head, he released the weight, dropping back onto the ground. He laid there for a moment before I removed myself from the couch, crouching down next to his sweaty form. His hand reached out, rubbing my bare thigh. “What’s the matter?” He asked concerned.
I hesitated for a moment, “Nothing.” I gave him my best smile. “Just tired is all.”
His eyes searched mine, not buying my answer. “You sure?”
I nodded my head. My conversation yesterday with Aro was kept a secret between him and I. Caius and his uncle were already fighting about Marcus and I didn’t want to make it worse by telling him what was said. Aro did stay true to his word though – the doctor making sure to visit while Caius was at work earlier this morning. I laid uncomfortably as a nurse and the doctor made sure there were no inserted birth control devices and to make sure I was in the shape I needed to be in order to conceive a child. The surprise of it all was the small image on the screen during the ultrasound.
The days we spent just enjoying each other during our honeymoon seemed to do the trick. With all the stress revolving around what happened to Marcus, I didn’t even notice that my period was late. It was irregular to begin with, so it wasn’t uncommon for me to miss one here and there. I was definitely more tired, but I just chalked it up to being stressed. I wasn’t nauseous or craving weird things. I begged the doctor to keep the secret – not wanting Aro to find out before Caius. I wasn’t even sure when I was going to tell my husband. I was barely 4 weeks – from reading, this was the earliest you could find out you were pregnant. I didn’t have any body signs, my stomach still the same shape it was before. I didn’t need Caius stressing out any more than he already was. I also needed to find a doctor that wasn’t linked to the Volturi family to get an accurate result.
Caius’s body lifted off the floor, a groan escaping past his lips as he grabbed my hand, pulling me up to his sweaty body. “Let’s get ready for bed.” His lips gently touched mine.
“You need a shower first.” I spoke against his lips.
“Is that so?” He teased. “I thought women enjoyed it when men were all hot and sweaty?”
I broke from the kiss, his hands keeping me against his body. “Well, you are hot, and you may be sweaty, but you also smell a little too.” My face turning up. “It would be different if you were hot and sweaty but still smelled like body wash.”
He looked at me with fake offence. “I can’t believe you just said I smell.” His voice going up an octave. “I thought I smelled like fucking roses.”
“Yeah, if they were drenched in sweat and thrown in the trash can.” I muttered.
He stayed silent for a moment before pulling me back, flush against his body. He started moving our bodies together, our laughter’s filling the room. “Now you smell like sweaty roses, sweetheart.” I tried pushing away, my cheeks starting to hurt from smiling. “Looks like we both need to shower…”
“My goodness, Vanessa-“Charlotte smiled. “Looks like someone worked up an appetite overnight.” I blushed as she removed the plate from in front of me. I had asked for an extra helping of pancakes, not expecting to finish them and the two that were originally made for me.
“I guess I was just really hungry.” I lied with a smile.
She nodded her head, smiling back as she headed towards the kitchen. I wiped away any excess syrup that may have lingered before standing up to go back to our room. Caius had left for work early this morning, a soft goodbye kiss greeting me as he was leaving. I softly closed the bedroom door, walking towards the bathroom. My tired figure stared back at me as I turned to the side. I lifted the old t-shirt, my hand cradling my stomach. It had been a week since I saw the ultrasound and I still hadn’t told Caius. I managed to find an OBGYN that was taking new patients, my first appointment being in two hours. I couldn’t help but smile slightly as I rubbed my belly. I was still in shock. I didn’t expect to get pregnant so fast. I at least wanted to wait a couple months, but my body had other ideas.
I took my time in the shower before pulling on a pair of jeans and one of Caius’s flannel shirts. I didn’t bother putting on any makeup, simply pulling my hair into a high ponytail. I retrieved Caius’s keys from his office, making my way to the garage. The Range Rover was blacked out – the windows so tinted that it was impossible to see inside. I plugged in the directions to the clinic, the sound of country music played softly from the stereo. The car smelled like him. Cigarettes and aftershave lingered on the upholstery. Thoughts of how Caius would take the news rambled in my mind. Would he be happy, upset? What was going to happen if and when Aro found out? I was a bit surprised that he didn’t know by now – the medical staff keeping their word. The looming thought that I tried desperately to push into the back of my mind was what would happen if I do have a son? He would inherit the Volturi legacy and take over the family business of murder, greed, and tragedy. How was I as a mother supposed to sit back and allow that to happen? What if the people that are after Caius and his uncles turn the cards and come after my child? My first priority as a mother is to protect my child and if that means taking him or her away from their father, then that it something that would have to be done.
(My love🖤)
I have never been a morning person, just the thought of having to wake up early makes me want to cry. I applaud the people who wake up early. But when I meet my mate Alec, mornings have officially become my favorite part of the day. What makes it so special, is Alec wakes me up with a fresh cup of coffee that he made just for me. I'm not sure how he picked up on how to make coffee or how to make it how I like it but I guess he really does pay attention to my every move in the mornings.  I have told him before that for me to function as a human I need a cup of coffee or else I will not be a delightful person to be around.
He unfortunately witnessed that side of me and has made it his mission to have that cup of coffee ready for me when I wake up. But that's not what makes it special, when he wakes me up, the first thing I see is his face. He has this small smile and his eyes are full of warmth and love that makes me feel like i'm in a dream still. He's like my personal fallen angel that I have the honor to call mine.
This morning did not start any differently, the sunlight was gazing on me with its million mini rays hitting my face. I heard a small thud hit my nightstand, and I opened my eyes slightly to be blessed by the sight of my stunning mate looking at me already with his face slightly having that unhuman sparkle. His burgundy eyes also already having that intense but loving look he gives me whenever he looks at me, even if I probably look like crap he never fails to lose that look.
With his small warming smile already on his face, he again blesses me with his soothing voice “Good morning sunshine, the earth says hello”
I make “grabby hands” toward him and he comes closer to lay on top of me with laying his face on my chest. I bury my face into his hair and mumble groggily
“Someone’s been paying attention to the movies I make them watch”
“Always my love”
He tilted his head up and gave my neck multiple kisses, the temperature difference between his cold lips and my warm skin made me feel that familiar feeling of butterflies fluttering in my stomach. Being like this with him makes me forget there is a real world out there, almost makes me feel like we are the only two people on this planet. These small moments we share I hold dearly to my heart because I am the only person that gets to see Alec in such a vulnerable and relaxed form, not even Jane has seen him like this, the honor I have. While he continues to give me now soft kisses instead of multiple, I run my hands through his dark locks. I'm glad he has kind of long hair so I am able to run my hands through his hair. So soft and silky, makes me slightly jealous he has nicer hair than me but he tells me it's a vampire thing. The way his soft kisses leave me in a state of bliss that makes me mumble nonsense
“Better than a cup of coffee”
He lifts his face to looks up at me with a pure astonish look and exclaims
“Are you serious? But you said you always need a cup of coffee to be human”
I pull him into a deep gentle kiss that he reciprocates, I pull away and say with a small sleepy smile
‘Your my cup of coffee now”
A/N: So cuteeee. I like how I did a little reference of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005), its actually my alarm sound 🤭. I just wanted to say that Im working on a Caius one-shot, this one is taking a bit longer to get done because its longer than my usual ones and I was thinking of doing a 2 part to it. But also I have my finals this week so I wont be posting to often, I may have part one of my Caius one-shot out this week but I been having some small difficulties with it and I keep changing my mind in how to write it plus studying keeps me occupied the majority of my day. But I.m happy to have gotten this one out in the open because its so sweet and adorable, I almost made it a Carlisle one-shot but as I kept thinking about this it just screamed Alec.
