A great way to keep your deadlifts improving is to switch your grip to an under over grip.... your welcome. Or you could just use straps, there is nothing weak about isolating your back to failure before your forearms give out. Iv manage to create a 90kg Barbell 😁 all up cost me about $40. Only because I had a pinch bar already. 5 Reasons Why The Deadlifts are the BEST! 🏋️‍♂️ 1.) It trains your WHOLE body from hanstrings, glutes, quads, back and core. It is arguable that aside from olympic lifts in engages more muscles then any other movement. 2.) Movements like the deadlift actually can cause hormonal changes which can help build muscle and strength over your whole body. 3.) Can translate to real world strength and speed. If you only train your upper body, you are literally like a sail boat with a cannon on it. Your legs and core are used for almost all athletic movements that usually start from your FEET! 4.) Since you are recruiting more muscle fibers, you are burning more calories so it is more condusive for staying lean. ✅DEADLIFT TIP When doing sumo deadlifts, focus on locking your knees your as fast as you can while maintaining position. 565 x 1. #patience is key. Anyone can get crazy and amped up when they lift, but remaining calm and patient is hard to do. You have to be patient in your set up because if you arent careful, you could hurt yourself or work harder than you should to complete the lift. #deadlifttips #deadlift 1. Lock lats in 2. Create tension in my quads and hamstrings along with keeping my position in my upper body. 3. The moment I grab the bar and utlize it to help pull me down into position and utlizing that pull to keep my lats right. 4. With my butt up, I reflex my glutes, hamstrings, and quads as tight as I can and try to get my hips under the bar. 5. Once that is set, you will notice the bend in the bar. Don't pull just yet. When this slack is being pulled, let it settle down into your shins. 6. When you feel the knurling set into your socks and if you pull, you know there is potential for sock ripping and shin bleeds, You pull the weight by splitting the earth like the way Moses split the red sea, and drive your upper back up. Due to my technique of trying to maximize ROM by being super flexible in the hips, its much harder to lock out, so I train my glutes really hard to make up for that weakness. Work hard, train hard, and be patient with your lifts. Be patient with getting stronger, and most importantly, be patient with yourself. (at American Strength)
