This plot bunny has been hopping around my head for months now
Sam de-ages himself to get Castiel and Dean together but ends up liking being their little Sammy a bit too much.
When they finally get together Sam doesn't really want to change back to his grown-up self, because he's never been so happy before and he loves being close to Cas and Dean.
So basically...
Sam wants his brother and angel to date so both of them can be happy.
He devises a plan to get them together.
De-aging himself is the solution, obviously.
Cas and Dean don't know that Sam has all his adult memories.
Sammy finally gets to be a child and be free all while performing his masterplan.
Dean has always been Sammy's daddy dearest and so when Sammy meets Cas he asks "Are you my new mommy?"
Yes, they're parents now. (Until they find a way to change Sam back of course.)
Even though Sam has his memories, he feels much more sensitive than usual and has difficulties controlling his emotions.
e.g. He starts crying when he trips.
Sammy having a nightmare and asking to sleep in bed with Dean like usual, asking confusingly why Cas isn't going to bed with them -> our little boy deserves to be sandwiched by Destiel <3
Sammy not liking salads anymore and sitting in Dean's or Cas' lap when eating because he can't get high enough to eat properly and needs to be spoonfed.
Dean enjoys spoiling Sammy in ways he couldn't before because they didn't have a lot of money back then or a proper home.
Dean missed seeing his brother so happy and carefree.
Castiel sees Sam's soul getting brighter everyday and finally healing.
Sam gets to ask Cas all the questions he always wanted to ask, but didn't have the courage for: "Dean says you're an angel, does that mean you can fly? Where is heaven? Are your wings white? Can I touch them? Do angels marry? Can you heal people? Does it hurt when you lose feathers??"
Dean calls Sam baby and Sam loves that even though he didn't when he was little the first time, Dean notices and wonders why it doesn't bother Sammy anymore.
Eventually Cas and Dean get together but by then Sammy doesn't really want to be big again because he doesn't want to stop being loved by his parents Cas and Dean.
Dean catches on to what's going on and together they all find a solution everyone is happy with, can be anything: Sammy growing up all over again the normal way, turning him back to his adult self but still caring for him and spending time together, having a magical ring so he can change his age at will in case they're on a hunt or there is an emergency... just anything happy.
Sorry, I have a very soft spot for Cas and Dean being parental towards Sam. You have no idea.

the silliest thing to me are people who argue staunchly against baby jack headcanons because it's "initializing" him or "taking away his agency" as if he isn't 1.) a fictional character and 2.) was literally going to be a baby before he was "forced to grow up fast" bc plot reasons. also when people are mad bc "you just want to give destiel a baby" like. yea and??? this is fanfic and fiction and jack can be their baby. also when jack de-ages himself in fics like. maybe the guy is tired of carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. maybe he just wants to literally be 3 and have other ppl deal w/ everything, who can blame him
edit to add: i very much view him as an adult in canon and canon treats him as such too. he's new to the world and aged quickly but he's not a literal baby or toddler, and people viewing and treating canon jack as a baby is something i can understand ppl taking issue with. but simply getting mad at baby jack headcanons / AU fics?? like, we can contain multitudes. i can both view him as an adult with agency in canon AND enjoy baby jack AUs / fanart etc

Hello! I love your blog, you guys are such lifesavers! I am searching for a particular type of fic. I’m looking for a story where Dean and Cas get together during the fic, and after they get together one of them gets hurt. I would especially love if it is a case!fic and if Cas is human and panics when he realises he can’t heal Dean. One that comes to mind but does not have human!cas is “One Cold Night” by xylodemon. Any others that come to mind would be greatly appreciated! Thank you xx
There's plenty of fics where Dean or Cas are injured and the other one is going out of their mind, but the tricky part here is that the harm has to happen after they got together. That narrows down possible recs.
Kung Fu Grip by 8sword - post canon, established relationship and Dean is de-aged by spell to his 17 yo body.
All The Nights by NorthernSparrow - season 15, they're opposite of together, rather, right after the divorce arc. But Dean is injured and they are isolated together.
On Drowning by domesticadventures - Cas almost drowned, Dean almost lost his mind. Season 10, human Cas, before the relationship.

Let's Fight Tonight

Summary: what says romance better than a good old battle where you're guarding your loved one's back?
A/N: beta'ed by the lovely @ohwowimlonley (so I'm blaming typos on her (no I don't))
Outraged shouts and guns going off filled the air.
"Jack!" Y/N whisper-shouted as she spotted the boy crouching behind a bookcase, gun pressed close to his body. He was unharmed though he turned and aimed at her with inhuman speed before recognition passed over his face.
Relief followed soon after. "They didn't get to you yet?"
"I'm faster than I look."
Jack nodded grimly and made to speak but stopped short and dragged her to the ground with him.
Moments later, his gun was going off at someone behind Y/N. Maniac laughter told them that Jack had missed though. Gabriel. He had been on Y/N's heels since this all began. Got Claire with a shot in the back before Y/N could save her. Jody would never let her hear the end of it for that - or Claire for that matter.
"Shit," Y/N voiced what they both were thinking when more footsteps approached, "any plans?"
"Shoot and hope?" Jack supplied. So pretty much their entire tactic for the day. And it had been supposed such a quiet day, spending time with people your own age for once. Oh what had become of that?
Yeah whatever. Wasn't like it would kill them or anything. "One last kiss?"
Jack smiled softly at the request and leaned over to press their lips together. His hand slid around her neck for just a moment and squeezed gently.
"I love you," Y/N breathed against his lips. She leaned their foreheads together as the steps grew louder, savouring the feeling of tender closeness before the fight would take them.
They had just gotten to their feet - standing with their backs to the bookshelf with just enough space between them to give the other room to fight - when a familiar voice echoed through the library.
"Told ya kids you can't win." Dean was coming from the left while Cas was rounding in on them from the right.
Both of them were walking the self assured walk of a warrior ready to take the win; their guns raised in perfect unison at the couple. Dean and his angel weren't here to take prisoners.
So Y/N and Jack had to be faster.
"What makes you think that?" Y/N stepped forward and deliberately drew their attention on her.
Worked like a charm too. Dean huffed, a smirk dancing over his face. "Oh I don't know maybe the fact the we've got you cornere-"
The hunter went down with a surprised sputter when Jack hit him straight in the chest.
And then all hell broke loose.
Sam - having heard his brother going down from some other part of the bunker - was suddenly right there, Gabriel at his side, and attacking Jack.
Meanwhile Castiel had turned towards Y/N who was determined to keep her stand next to her boyfriend. If they were going down, they were doing it together.
Guns were abandoned for fists and legs as the proximity didn't allow them, lest they wanted to accidentally hit someone on their team.
One shove sent Y/N to the ground, slithering to where Dean was laying. A grave mistake.
His hand was a vice around her ankle and pinned her to the ground with him. And here she had been thinking that he had been out already.
Jack - sweet Jack - noticed Y/N's peril almost immediately and bit and clawed his way over to her. "Leave her alone!"
"Yeah Dean-o no cheating," Gabriel sing-songed unexpectedly from the sidelines.
Wait, why wasn't anyone attacking them?
A glance to the prowl near the bookshelf confirmed Y/N's greatest hopes. Alex and Kaia were holding their own against two of the greatest hunters/warriors she knew. And that was saying a lot. Hell, they even were holding Gabriel back somehow - though he seemed more entertained than actually struggling.
Hey, whatever got them to the win.
Only that Dean had used her moment of observation to press his gun into her back.
"You tell me what you did to Charlie or I will pull the trigger," Dean threatened, his attention on Jack.
"You should be dead," Jack retorted and aimed again.
Which made Dean press harder. Y/N laughed. "You wanna know what happened to Charlie?"
She used the fracture of a second where his grip loosened and swung her free leg over his body.
"I shot her."
And then she shot Dean as well. This time, he stayed down.
"Dean!" Castiel lunged without thinking when he heard the body hit the ground for good.
His mistake.
Kaia took the opening as it was and shot him just as Alex got Gabriel.
Now only Sam was standing. With four victory high young adults turning towards him. He hadn't had the slightest of chance. He had been one of their best teachers after all.
"We won." The statement uttered with a sense of wonder came from Kaia. Her eyes were trained on the bodies around her, then slowly lifted to her team. Where one was missing.
"We did." Y/N nodded, a huge grin taking over her face.
They actually defeated them! A bunch of kids!
Jack was a step further already. Laughing freely. Without so much as warning, he drew her in and kissed her once again - in front of all of their family and friends. With tongue.
Y/N did not squak.
"Alright alright, game over, we do not need to see that," Claire said in that voice that clearly aimed for I-am-so-annoyed-with-my-little-brother-that-isn't-actually-related-to-me but didn't quite catch on that she was supposed to be, y'know, actually annoyed for that.
And with that, the spell was broken. Kaia flew into her arms, laughing and berating her for letting Gabriel get the drop on her.
"I still can't believe that you mojoed me to that damn floor," Dean grumbled and pointed his beer bottle at Gabriel.
The archangel in question was not impressed in the slightest bit and shrugged with his trademark shit eating grin. "Hey, you were cheating, I had to do something."
"I was not." Dean huffed indignant, "Jack missed."
"He didn't miss, I saw the freaking lights," Y/N stated as she re-entered the room. Beer bottles and glasses full of other beverages were handed to the grabby fingers of her friends.
They all let Dean complain some more while Jack pulled Y/N in his lap and rested his chin on her shoulder. This right there was his family. And Y/N loved it with all the parts that weren't already consumed by Jack.
The easy teasing that followed the aftermath of their laser-tag adventures was not-so-surprisingly aimed mainly at the adults.
"You're just a sore loser," Claire said and added smugly, "and still got shot the second time around."
"Yeah that was just sad to watch." Alex laughed and stretched out on her part of the sofa.
"At least I didn't get shot in the back."
"You really wanna go there Dean?" Charlie quipped, "your angel coming to your rescue?"
"Shut it."
Dean was getting grumpier by the second. It made Y/N want to tease him until he was as red as a tomato. But she was pretty comfortable right here with Jack and she didn't want one of his dads throwing her out for being giggly, thank you very much.
Turned out that she didn't even have to do anything to fulfill her goal. All it took was Castiel to look up from his own drink solemnly, nudge Dean's leg with his and say earnestly, "But I really was attempting to come to your rescue, Dean."
And there was tomato-Dean.
"Oh we are so doing this again," Gabriel proclaimed.

im roughly 65% sure ive made this post before but it rlly does confuse me how almost nobody in the fandom acknowledges Jack’s anger issues or “insane moments” or honestly any of his flaws in general, esp in comparison to the rest of team free will 2.0 and it’s like … what show did you watch. What show did you watch where the guy that attempted to strangle someone in a fit of rage, deliberately tortured a man as brutally as possible before killing him and ate raw human hearts that he himself ripped out of peoples’ chests is somehow always being depicted as the sweet innocent flower child of the group.
and like while this itself isn’t directly an ableism thing, i think it speaks a lot for how any character with autistic traits or coding is perceived as inherently innocent or childlike and infantilized/woobified as such. and look, i get that jack is canonically written to come off as very cute and adorable and sweet on purpose, but literally nobody can see past it on a surface level and recognize that Hey, Maybe The Guy Who Can Throw People Against Walls And Fly Into A Murderous Rage When They’re Too Upset Has A Reason For Being Super Nice All The Time.
idk . I mean this is like one in a million other things about jack that get watered down by the fandom because he fundamentally does not exist to half of y’all as a full character with autonomy outside of being a domestic destiel centerpiece — which itself also confuses me as someone who’s been deeply fixated on him pretty much since his storyline began in s12. And while I didn’t have a tumblr back then in 2017, I did see the posts made about him & I remember even then thinking “yeah I get it he’s cute he’s baby but can we like actually talk about him,” because almost nobody was and it drove me crazy, and to see that that hasn’t changed in the past six years (mind you, I was 13 when he appeared and im 19 now) just. Drives me even more crazy, but also exhausts me at the same time.
it’s like. idk, it’s like y’all are incapable of consuming his character unless he’s been made palatable to you , which for some reason seems to exclusively mean making him a baby or removing his actual personality to the point that even when he isn’t being de-aged, he’s still treated and depicted as a Large Child (which, by the way, is a directly ableist notion many autistics actually face irl!). And of course I can’t force anyone to stop liking baby-jack or stop making content around that because that’s just not how anything works, but at the very least i can ask you all to think a little more critically about why that specific content appeals to you and the harmful implications it carries, and if you’re unwilling to stop making/engaging with that content (which frankly I assume is the case for everyone, but again I can’t stop you) then the very least you can do is listen when someone says “hey this is actually kind of harmful.” thanks

What is old man destiel and shelter au 👀
Old man Destiel originated from a conversation about Dean's piercings in the Cas cult ages ago! It's actually super poorly titled because while it is post-series and age-based insecurity plays a role, they're not actually old and it's more about them getting body mods oops. This one's basically still just in my head, but I do have my rambling notes I first put down
Cas healed Dean's old piercings when he pulled him from hell. Most of them were done with lighters and sewing needles in motel bathrooms across the country in his teens and he's not stupid enough to do that again. he's in his 40s now, the idea of waltzing onto a piercing parlour and looking some guy in the eye and asking him to stick a needle in him for what would appear to be the first time is, for some reason, mortifying. Who gets their first piercing in their 40s?
He mentions healing his piercings in passing to Cas as a joke, and Cas is like "oh I didn't realise those had been intentional at the time, you didn't wear anything in them, I'm so sorry Dean", recognising the sincerity under the joke, and Dean all "what? Nah it's fine man" and Cas "let me make it up to you, there's a piercing parlour/tattoo shop in Lebanon. I've been meaning to go there for a consultation, you can come with me when I do & we can get some re-done" and thus begins the journey of them getting body mods together!!
Dean is doing/getting things that he would have been scared of when he was younger bc JW, toxic masculinity, etcetcetc (prettier jewellery, more delicate & sentimental tattoos)
Cas is making his vessel his own, taking ownership of himself. This isn't Jimmy's body and technically never was, but it is his visage. Cas wants to look like him, he wants to look at himself and see the physical evidence of the life he's lived, how far he's come
(Obligatory disclaimer that obviously there isn't actually anything wrong with getting your first piercing in your 40s, this is an insecurity of Dean's)
The Shelter au is based on a 2007 movie by the same name, which I watched twice a day for about a month straight when I was 15 bc I was gay and autistic and I found it comforting for some reason. For the fic, I basically settled on Cas as Zack, who is a college student and the de-facto primary carer of his young nephew (Cody, or Jack in this au), and Dean as Shaun, the older brother of one of Cas's classmates and best friends (Gabe in the movie, Sam in this), who moved away a few years ago but is back in town after a bad breakup (this Dean would be based closer to Dean Smith, all gay and seemingly put together). Honestly, because of how much I'd have to fiddle with Dean and Cas' characterisation in order to make this work, I'm thinking about abandoning it or doing the Shelter!au with a different ship, but I included it on the list because when I was trying to figure out which characters to put in which roles I wrote this down;
thinking about Zack and Shaun again should it be the other way around and if so who is Gabe. Is Gabe Gabe? I don't think Gabe fits as Gabe, especially bc then Gabe would have to be younger than Cas.
and I was hoping someone would pick it so I'd have an excuse to share that nightmare sentence lmao

sam has literally the most fatherless vibes of anyone on the show, he does not want that energy in his life, he doesn't even really see bobby that way imo like they dont fuck with each other like that (and jody is not his mom either :(.)
unfortunately for me, de-ageing fics are my guilty pleasure so i have to scroll through a whole lot of sam being destiels baby. like they put some magic on him to make him a baby so that dean and cas can raise him again?? hate hate hate

21 Jump Street x Destiel where Dean and Cas get de-aged for a hunt and investigate the goings on at a high school alongside their son, Jack. And Dean is super confident he can be top dog by end of the day but he's become a meme and has a target on his back from the bullies. Meanwhile Cas ends up being super popular and enjoys his social life. Cas is friends with all the popular kids meanwhile Jack takes pity on Dean and invites him to sit with the nerdy group he usually hangs out with since attending school. At some point both Dean and Cas forget about the case as the former tries to prove he can be popular and the latter makes up for a lost childhood. Jack has to wrangle both towards the task at hand.

Age: depends on rp..I generally like to do lower to mid 30s or 20s
Gender: non-binary
Pronouns: he/they (prefers they, but is cool with he)
Sexuality: bisexual (with a lean towards men.)
In any relationship, Dean is the bottom and generally pretty submissive. I don't write smut though, this will only be implied.
I love angsty rp and in character drama. I'm willing to ship with oc's, preferably male. Unless there's a lot of chemistry, I don't usually write a lot of m/w I prefer m/m.
Rp can range from very dark to extremely ridiculous crack content. 😂 Somewhere in between is always good.
