Dubble Life (ACTSV x Reader x Batfam) 3
A/n: I forgot to mention that the universe reader is in is earth-42. So, the Prowler is Miles, but he switches with Aaron here and there. and reader has the same last name as Miles.
Part 2, Part 4
Summary: Life with the Waynes so far was pretty good. Damian is still being a brat, so reader decides to be a good big sister. Someone from the past shows their face. In the need of readers help, for Spider-woman.
"I win!" Tim couldn't help but smirk in triumph. You stare at the 'Game over' on your screen. "Nah, nah. You gotta be cheating! Bro what is this!" This was the third time you have lost street fight with Tim.
"You two are acting like children." Damian spoke, watching two play video games for almost 2 hours. You rolled your eyes and gave Damian a look. "Cuz we are. You're like what, 9?" Tim chuckled as he packed his things.
"I am 12!" Damian argued. "Boy, like that makes any difference." Damian began to argue with you, you just stared down at him an announced you were getting a drink from the kitchen. You poured yourself a drink. Suddenly, your Spidey senses were warning you. You quickly turn around, just to see Damian. You scoffed.
It was funny how your Spidey senses always acted up when it came to Damian. You wondered if he wanted to hurt you so you couldn't take the Wayne throne. You turned back and continued to take a gulp from your cup. you paused for a moment before glancing to Damian you was eating a snack that Alfred made.
You thought that maybe the reason that you two haven't fully gotten along was due to both of you not even trying. So why not be the bigger person and try to be nice.
You slide yourself to the table Damian was at and set yourself in front of him. The boy frowns as he sees the smirk you had.
"What do you want, you bug."
You couldn't help but chuckle at that. If only he really knew.
"Look, demon. I think we haven't really gotten the chance to bond as siblings." You leaned in with a smile. Damian looked at you with distaste. "Did father put you up to this? What are you planning Davies?"
"No, I ain't planning nothing. What's wrong with wanning to hang out with you?" You arched your brow and leaned back into your chair. Damian sighed "I don't have time for you. I have work to do. So, if you'll excuse me." Damian stood from his chair and walked away.
"Alright, if you change your mind my door is open!" Literally, you leave your door open sometimes. You just forget to close it. A habit to try and get rid of.
After a few days. Damian did come to your room.
"Oh, look who's here. Is there something my little demon needs? hugs, kisses? whatever sisterly love can provide?" You smirked as you watched him give you a look of disgust.
"I don't want your useless affection. Father wants us to go with him to a meeting. Please wear something that doesn't look like a Hippe made it." With that, Damian walked out. He paused and took a glance of a picture you had hung on the wall; it was of a woman. Your mother no doubt.
You sighed and got yourself ready. Wondering why the hell Bruce wanted you to come along.
"Hey Alfred. Do you know why Bruce needs me at the meeting today?" you asked. Alfred handed you a drink you requested for
"It is a meeting at the Wayne enterprise. You will mistily be there to observe the working environment and understand what the Wayne family is about." Alfred escorted you down and helped you fix your dress up, so it was perfect.
Bruce couldn't help but smile as he watched you come down those stairs in one of the dresses Dick picked for you.
Once you reached the bottom, Bruce took your hand into his "You look beautiful."
Your smiled. Your smile faltered.
Remembering the time, your mother had a date with some man you didn't approve of.
It was cold out. Your mother was going to be with a man named Jim Bolton. You were happy she was happy. But you didn't trust this Jim guy. You asked, practically begged your uncle Jeff to do a background run on the man.
Jim was married at the age of 22, awfully young. He got divorced and has two daughters 3-4 years younger than you. he also had 3 DUI's. Your mother has told you he doesn't drink anymore. But you still didn't like him.
You watched your mother walk down the stairs, with a red dress on, her hair fixed up. Shinny jewels on. She looked amazing. You already saw her as a goddess, this just added onto the beauty you already saw in her. You couldn't help but look at her fondly.
"Okay, remember to lock all the doors. Your uncle Aarons going to be here in an hour to watch you and- . . . what?" Your mother noticed that small smile on your face. You were being silent. Just staring at her.
You chuckled and held her hands to yours "Nothing. . . you just look beautiful."
You missed her. You've been trying to not think too much of her. Not think of the time you two spent. Not think of her hugs. Her smile, her voice.
You have night terrors of what happened that day. At times you stay awake, too scared to close your eyes. Afraid to see every wrong thing you've done as a daughter. You make it worse for yourself by calling her number, only to hear no answer.
The Wayne building was big. Many people in uniforms rushing too somewhere. Rushing to get work done, rushing to get home.
You walked beside Damian. He has been quite this whole time. You wonder what was making your dear little weirdo so silent.
You sat in one meeting with Bruce and Damian. It was rather boring. But you did think Bruce was cool with the way he took over. Bruce had two other meetings that suddenly came up. He was going to take the two of you downtown to look around, get something to eat. Go to the movies even.
"It's alright. Me and De- Damian can go and hang around with Alfred. Can get a little Sibling bonding out of it." You held yourself back from calling the boy, demon. Almost let it slip for a second there.
Bruce liked the sound of that. When he agreed, you gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Bruce isn't the best with affection, but you have been doing these little gestures, hugging, the kisses on the cheek. You would even do the occasional 'I love you's Bruce is starting to think that you might just be getting closer to him. So, he buys you more things.
Sometimes you decline so he just gives you money.
Damian rolled his eyes as you dragged him to the car. Alfred Started the car and you two were now going to be closer than ever. Well, you hope.
"So, little brother, you have anyone that has cached your interest?"
Damian frowns "That is none of your business."
"I see, you must really her then. Or him, I don't discriminate on who you love." You felt a smirk creep up when you catch a glimpse of the look on the young boy's face. It just felt so fun toying with him like this.
"I don't have time for something like dating. Stop talking, you're giving me a migraine." Damian did visibly look tired of you, which made it even more enjoyable for you.
The first few weeks that you came to the manor. This boy has been activating the need for violence. You can't just cuss him out and flip him off like you did with Miguel.
You can tell Damian ain't stupid. He's sharp and very aware of his surroundings. One slip up and your done for. So, you decide to do what you did best.
Be annoying.
Damian ignores you more when you act like that. On top of that, you loved the reactions you got out of him.
You and Damian went to a music shop where they had those old timey records that you liked.
"Why do you need these things. You know you can listen to music like this on your phone, right?" Damian watched as you picked up a record and held it like it was precious. The most fragile thing in the world.
". . .The neighborhood I used to live in. Was loud. I could hear screaming, gun shots. And other things I wasn't supposed to hear." You gently put the record down and continued to walk down the aisle. Damian and Alfred followed behind.
"One night, there was a gang fight right outside. I got so scared. I ran into her room crying. She played a song. . ." You found a song you haven't seen in a while and grabbed it.
"She held me. . . and said, 'son solo sondios, mi amor.' and told me to listen to the music. Let that be the only thing you hear." You let yourself laugh, remembering at how much you cried.
"So, that's what I do. Instead of listening to sounds that give me fear. I listen to these."
Damian watched you happily go through the records.
Damian scoffed to himself. It was the first time he saw a real smile from you. Of course, you smile a lot. But everything was fake. You were putting on a facade. He didn't like fake people.
Lying all the time. People who lie, can't be trusted. And you lie a lot. he knows. You just haven't been caught yet.
But that, what you just did. You were actually being real. You don't seem too bad. For a bug.
"What's this?" Damian spoke up when he picked up a record that had big words on it with a blue background.
"Oh, Boney M. I love these guys." You know Uncle Aaron had full blown collocations of the band.
You looked down to see the look of confusion on Damians face. "Oh, my Go- Come on man. You really don't know these guys?"
"No, should I? . . . My mother wasn't like yours." Damian mumbled. He sets down the record. You stared at him, then glanced to Alfred. You don't know much about Damian's mother. Just that she left him with Bruce.
Due to the boy's uptight attitude, you assume his mother was strict. And based on Alfreds expression, she probably wasn't the best.
You put your hand on his shoulder. "Let's go watch a movie. Yeah?"
The movie was a comedy, it was funny to you. Even more funny that Damian couldn't understand the jokes in the movie. Just watching you laugh so much just because he wasn't understanding the jokes, Damian couldn't help but laugh himself.
"I liked the ending." Damian spoke as you two exited out the theater. "What? for real? . . . why? The ending was kind of butt." You say, Wanting to know why Damian actually liked the ending.
"Well, the main character, Lisa. She found out she was being played by that Moses guy. Even if he caught feelings for her at one point, he didn't have those feelings when he went with that dare. When he kissed her at the prom as some stupid form of an apology, she just slapped him. She knew her worth."
You just stared in utter disbelief. You couldn't help but giggle, then burst out laughing.
"What? Why are you always laughing!'' Damian was scolding you as you continued to laugh and try to explain why you were laughing.
Suddenly you felt your Spidey senses go crazy. Thats when an explosion was heard.
"Oh shi-"
people started running in panic. "It's joker. . ." You heard Damian mumble. You quickly grab Damians hand and try to get to the car where Alfred was parked. Damian let you drag him. So many people were crowding up in a panic.
Damian looked up at you, then to the multiple explosions Joker was dropping. Hearing his damn laugh echo. He was putting his Job as Robin first. And let your hand go. You felt him let go. You quickly turn around. Panic sets in you. You called out his name as you tried to shove people away so you could get through.
"DAMIAN!" You tried to help a few people who got hurt by the falling rubble around them. But all you could think of was Damian. You kept calling the boy's phone. But it would go straight to voicemail. You cussed multiple times.
You went back into the theaters, calling out for Damian, asking anyone if they had seen a little boy come back in.
You didn't know he had left to fulfill his role as Robin.
You were currently in an alleyway. Trying to get to Damian on the phone, no answer. You try to contact Bruce, you lost service. You got frustrated and decided to just run around like an idiot to try and look for the boy.
But you accidentally ran into someone and knock them down.
"Oh no. I'm so sorry Ma'am. Are you alright?" You were quick to help the girl up.
"Thanks. . . you look good, Y/n."
You paused. Who was this? how did she know your name. Your look of confusion started to fade as you recognized the voice. You began to step back.
The girl fully showed her face. Starring you right in the eyes.
"Gwen?"

An expert on costumes and naval uniform wanted: what does Dagon's new outfit demonstrate?
Well, my hyperfixation on Dagon is still at its peak and now i feel there are some interesting things can be seen on her new pretentious outfit. I am trying to collect all my finds here and asking you to help me explain it. Hope this meta will be replenished with your additions.
So, let's look at it closer:
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: i am not so good at color correction so if you know better please teach me to improve images.
Obviously she has some pirate (or rather lovecraftian, which her name directly refers to) vibes, hasn't she? Lite Davy Jones. Probably that her demonic form has tentacles who knows.
First: the coat as a whole. Blue color, embrodiered lapels and cuffs, collar (i dont know how this form is called), golden epaulettes. The coat is looking like a part of British navy uniform in Regency Era (hmmm what is it about Jane Austin??) We can see similar uniform in illustrations from the book Nelson's Officers and Midshipmen. I also dont know why her epaulettes are blank.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next: the sash. I dont know if the red color makes any sense, anyway i would like someone to expand the information.
Tumblr media
The sash looks shabby too:
Tumblr media
What i want to focus to is pins:
Tumblr media
Two saber pins. I dont think they make any sense, just a reference to navy/pirates
A blurry silver pin. Thistle? If so, it looks like Royal Scottish Reserve Regiment Cap Badge. Why does Dagon wear this?
A strange blue pendant with a horseman and circular inscription. It's very unreadable, and i have no idea what this pendant (medal?) means.
Two medal ribbon bars. This is most interesting thing. I have identified the only medal from this bars: Military Medal that is awarded to other ranks of the Army and Royal Air Force for acts of bravery in the field.
Upper bar seems also very intriguing but i couldnt find any info about blue+white+red strips in the middle of ribbon.
Next: random pretty stuff. Necklace and fragment of the embrodiery on lapel. Looks like it was once a luxury golden embrodiery, but now it has severely dimmed and soaked. As if Dagon took this coat from the sea floor. She is capable of it, I believe, I can expect this of potentially oceanic archidemon.
Tumblr media
And most likely she is wearing black dress under the coat and nails that are as blue as her makeup. Probably there is something to say about her hairstyle, but...i ran out of ideas. Hope you my brothers help me to disassemble this visual disaster.
P.S. especially thanks to @ninnikukawaii for checking my english texts. I just want to say, you're an angel (♡°▽°♡)
Part 2 is here

Stiles gets a call from Eli that Derek has died. He runs home in time to be at the funeral where Eli barrels into him crying shaking like he is five years old again after a nightmare. Stiles holds him tight looking up at the pack he walked away from years ago. The ones that hurt him and his family too many times to count. His eyes landed on Scott, who looked sad and sorry. Stiles didn’t care for his pity. Rage boiled in him at just seeing his ex-best friend. The man that almost ruined everything for them 15 years ago but it looks like he already did. Stiles pulled Eli away, handing him off to his dad. Stiles walked over landing a hard punch to Scott’s temple.
“What did you do?” Stiles shouted.
Stiles knew he had to bring back the love of his life and the father of his son, with the help of Lydia and the rest of the gang. Stiles must fight one last demon of his own to bring Derek back. By doing so, secrets of the past fifteen years will be told. His young son, Eli, will know more about himself and his parents than either Stiles or Derek was ready to share.

Derek grew quiet, eyes searching Stiles’ face. “It’s called True Mates.” “Do you think we…” he started, but cut himself off. He wasn’t sure he wanted an answer. “Maybe,” Derek nodded anyway, eyes cast down. Their hands were intertwined on the bed where they sat, and Stiles traced Derek’s knuckles with his fingers. “How would we know?” Derek sighed and leaned over to rest his head against Stiles’ shoulder. “There’s always a sign."

"Please, bring my nephew back" Stiles stays silent for a second, before clearing his throat and speaking again. "Well, let's hope the answer is still no".

Yoda Said It Best by OKDeanna, thePurebloodPrat
(21/21 I 99,128 I Explicit I Sterek)
Derek Hale knows he as a problem. Contrary to what some might believe, he isn’t stupid. He knows the Jeep has meaning to him, real meaning. The kind of meaning that he doesn’t want to think about, let alone stop and have to analyze. Except… his son keeps pushing him about it, prodding at him, and then before Derek knows it, Stiles is back in Beacon Hills, driving the one thing in the world Derek wishes he never had to set eyes on again. If Derek isn’t careful, he could open himself up to a fall, and that would affect more than just his son but also his own traitorous heart. Because with Stiles back, Derek finally has hope again, and its making him want the things he knows better than to ever crave: a home, a future, a life—love.
One-Sentence Premise: To find the happiness they both crave, a lonely stressed-out single dad and a disillusioned FBI agent must confront their shared past and accept the feelings that have always existed between them.

☾ A/N: Drabble 2 of the 100 Drabble Challenge is prompt #67, pirates! I had no idea what I was doing with this until I wrote it. It is obviously inspired by Pirate of the Caribbean with the whole Davy Jone’s chest thing, but I very much put my own spin on it. The ring is inspired by Solomon’s Ring, which is a Christian-centric mythology that Solomon had a ring that could summon the forces of Hell. So I did that but like… sea hell hahaha. I hope you enjoy this! I’ts very different for me!

Seokjin is used to the occasional knife in the dark. As one of the most notorious captains and thieves on the seven seas, he’s even been the knife in the dark himself.
When he feels the pressure of a blade against his spine tonight, he’s not surprised. His crew is too drunk to see the threat standing behind their captain, and Seokjin has made the ridiculous mistake of letting a pretty woman lure him to a dark table in the corner, away from the noise and celebrating.
Seokjin immediately feels like a fool for letting his guard down, the worst mistake he could ever make.
The pretty girl in front of him grins and looks at Seokjin’s assailant before nodding her head and slipping from the chair. He grits his teeth, realizing she is in on it. He clenches his fist as he starts to turn, but the knife digs into his ribs. A hard push would send it right between the two of them and into a lung. It would be a slow, gross death.
The raucous noise of the tavern buzzes in his ear as a hand taps his shoulder, signaling for him to stand. He does so slowly, looking around the tavern to see if there’s anyone he can appeal to for his plight.
No one pays him any mind, hands going up dresses or down pants, wine flowing, and crowd singing. His crew is too busy celebrating. And why shouldn’t they? They’ve just stopped at their favorite port after a successful three years of hunting a timeless piece of treasure. A power that puts Seokjin on edge.
The ring sits heavy in Seokjin’s pocket. Only Yoongi his firstmate and Namjoon his chronicler know of the power in Seokjin’s pocket, too dangerous to be left on the ship with the remainder of the treasure. He doesn’t enjoy hiding the ring from his crew, but he hasn’t quiet yet decided what to do with it. How to explain what it is that it does without scaring the loyal members of his crew.
Slowly, a hand turns Seokjin around and walks him toward the stairs, still at knifepoint. He grins as he goes, leaning his head to the side to see the person who holds him captive. The knife digs harder into his back, a warning that makes him chuckle and turn forward, holding his hands up in defeat.
“If you wanted to lure me to your bed, you just had to ask,” he says, going up the steps. His boots are heavy on the creaking wood as he goes. “I am the most handsome of pirates, but I’m also quite liberal with my affections.”
His captor says nothing as they reach the second landing. Doors line either side of the hall. Seokjin can detect all manner of lovemaking and laughter beyond each closed door. He does not typically favor staying upstairs or renting rooms for whores, preferring the rocking of the ship in the harbor and the canvas of the night sky. It makes him unfamiliar with the second floor, but he counts his steps as they go.
They turn and go down another hall and stop at the last door of the right. It’s not a far run to get to the stairs and sound the alarm. Once he disarms his captor, he just needs to sprint and scream. He’s pretty quick on his feet and-
The knife prods him and he realizes the door to the room is open. He steps over the threshold into the room, glancing around. It’s simple enough. A single bed stands in the corner with a chest at the foot, a nightstand to the left, and a candle burning, smoke drifting toward the ceiling.
When the door shuts behind him, Seokjin’s muscles coil. He prepares to spring, hand sliding into the front of his jacket pocket, inching towards the small knife there-
“Don’t bother,” the voice says, knife ever-present. Seokjin’s hand freezes, recognizing the rasp of your voice anywhere. “That’s not the right knife, Captain.”
You’re right. The knife in his jacket pocket would do nothing against you, but the knife in his boot would. He’d grown lazy, no longer keeping the adamas dagger at his hip or within close reach. Three years haven’t made him feel safe, exactly, but he had started to think that you were still captive in that little home he’d left you in.
Evidently, it’s a mistake that will cost him.
Now he’s nervous. You push him further into the room with your palm but remove the knife from his back. He doesn’t reach down to the weapon in his boot, stuck between fear and the desire to see you - to talk to you again.
When he turns, his heart cracks open and starts to bleed.
The last time Seokjin saw you is fresh in his memory. You’d been chained to the bed you shared in a small island home off the coast of the Americas. He remembers the smell of your skin, like salt and driftwood. The cool touch of your lips against his burning skin. You always felt like the depths of the ocean, every part of you fluid as you’d fucked him last night, your breath sea breeze against his mouth, cries a haunting siren song.
And your eyes. Seokjin sees the inhuman blue-green glow of your eyes every night.
Now, those same eyes are staring at him, glowing in the dark. You stand so far in the shadows that it’s hard to make out any of your features or expressions, but Seokjin has your face burned into every part of his memory. The bow of your mouth, the slope of your nose, the roundness of your cheeks. It’s all there along with the knowledge that he’d betrayed you. Chained you. Loved you.
When you step into the light, Seokjin holds his breath. You’re so beautiful. It’s what lured him to you in the first place, a sailor to a siren, but he knows you’re so much more than a pretty face and glowing eyes. You’re also incredibly smart and wicked, a ruthlessness in you as brutal as the sea running in your veins, an unpredictably like a storm destroying the tropics.
A pirate by trade. Daughter of Leviathan by nature.
“You must be talented to get out of those cuffs. We should have used them more” Seokjin doesn’t know what else to say. You’re not advancing further into the room, and he’s worried reaching for his knife will startle you.
Behind him, the candle casts an orange glow on your face. It makes the sneer much more twisted, the furrowed brows as you glower harsher. Your features are sharper than he remembers, your eyes burning with the unnatural glow of a demon of the deep. You are murderous.
“I’m the favorite daughter of Leviathan, King of the Depths, Destroyer of Seas, and Maker of Tides. You think he would leave me to rot?”
“No, I suppose he doesn’t want that pretty face to wilt.” He tries to appear casual, spinning and tossing himself on the bed. You don’t move, eyes tracking him. “I suppose you’ve been following me all this time, then?”
“I have far more important things to do.”
“Perhaps, but you’d always loved revenge.”
“I loved you.”
There. You said it.
Seokjin doesn’t say anything for a moment, shocked to silence. Usually, you like to spar with your words, dancing around what you want to say with quick barbs and turns of phrase. Tonight, you cut right to it, leaving all playfulness out of your voice.
It makes his heart squeeze painfully. In the years that you sailed together, he cannot recall a time that you’ve ever been so direct. Even when you loved him most. Even when you were at your most vulnerable.
Perhaps you are here to kill him after all.
“So you’re here to win me back over?” he tries, desperate to get on familiar ground. Desperate to goad you. To make you snap back, to throw an insult. “You’ll need more than a knife to do that.”
“Give me the ring.”
“What do you want with it?”
“The likes of you shouldn’t have the power to summon the demons of the depths.”
“What if I’m in peril and need to call you?”
“You had me!” You roar, the force of your voice shaking the room, the candle almost guttering, the window panes shaking. He hears the scream downstairs, the entire building rattle with the rage of the ocean in your voice.
Seokjin drops the act, sitting up and squeezing his fists to fight the nausea of guilt twisting his stomach. He can feel your rage fill up the room like a solid thing, a cold pressure pressing on his skin as the candle on the nightstand flickers.
“Humans are not made to command Leviathan and his children” you growl, stepping further into the room. Standing closer to the light, Seokjin realizes your eyes are watery. He sucks in a sharp breath. He’s never seen you cry. “You are weak and petty, your lives but a speck of sand in fathomless oceans. You are selfish and greedy and cruel.”
“Are demons not the same? Do you not fight amongst yourselves for power? Do you not cause chaos among the seas? Do you not hunger for power, lust, and riches?”
“Those things belong to us.”
Seokjin stands abruptly. “Now they belong to me!”
“Seokjin.”
“Now I will command the seas. I will have the power to rein in the monster of the depths when he wants to destroy innocent ships. When he wants to send storms against islands. When he wants to swallow the souls on the sea. He will bow to me, now.”
“This is madness.”
“This is fair.” He feels his heart rate speed up. Feels rage pumping through his system. Feels like the little boy clinging to a piece of driftwood as the sea destroys the ship he and his family were sailing on, feels the burn of saltwater in his lungs as the ocean drags him down, feels-
“You’d risk the world for a sense of vengeance for your lost childhood?” your voice is barely audible, a sea breeze. “The infamous Captain Seokjin of the Blue Moon, Scourge of the Seas, so afraid of losing control of the tide that he’d dare assert his dominance over it.”
“Captain Seokjin, King of Tides has a better ring to it.”
You glance at his pocket where you know the ring sits heavy. He can feel the power ebbing from the cool metal as thought it senses you in the room. Like calling to like. A tool to control Leviathan and all of his demonic children of the sea sensing one of those very creatures in front of him.
“The sea will bow to no one.”
A blade glints in your hand. Seokjin finally realizes why you refuse to jest. Why there are tears in your eyes. You’re not here to negotiate or to let him loose. He truly has fallen out of your favor, and you’re here to take what he used you to steal.
He slowly bends down, watching you all the while. You let him remove the knife from his boot, kind enough to offer him a fair fight. “The sea loved you, you know?”
He knows you’re not just talking about the oceans he sails. His throat constricts as he nods. “I love her.”
You appraise him once more, uncanny eyes flickering. If his admission that there is still warmth flickering for you has an effect, it doesn’t show.
“Your love means nothing. You betrayed her and now you will meet your death, King of Tides.”
He grips his knife firmly. The ring is heavy in his pocket. “I welcome the attempt.”

My Legendborn Cycle Musings & Theories
Tumblr media
May 2023 is when I first got into this series and I've been hooked ever since. I've read Legendborn and Bloodmarked at least twice and I have some thoughts about the books and series in general. So without further ado:
Spoilers ahead!
First of all, I'm glad I waited to make this post because recently more information has been revealed about the next upcoming book (Oathbound), and that instead of the series being a trilogy of books it'll be a tetralogy (4 part book series).
Oathbound
I strongly believe that the Shadow Court is definitely going to be unleashed that was part of the bargain Bree made with the Shadow King after all.
Vera’s warning to Bree at the end of Bloodmarked: “Chaos thrives on imbalance.” In Oathbound, is Bree going to become villainous or corrupted in some form? Since she doesn’t have her ancestors to balance or influence her since she closed the ancestral stream?
Since the third book is called Oathbound I wonder if this means oaths will be broken or removed. Obviously, Natasia's Kingsmage Oath to Martin Davis had to have been removed. Could the same thing happen possibly between Nick and Sel?
At the end of Bloodmarked, the main trio: Bree, Nick, and Sel have become separated. Since this is Bree's story first and foremost I think the book will still only be from Briana's point of view. I don't think we'll be getting multiple points of view. However, I'm not quite sure.
Selwyn Emrys Kane
There’s more to Selwyn Kane than meets the eye. One of the main themes in the Legendborn Cycle is ancestry and inheritance.
Theory 1: Erebus (the Shadow King) is Selwyn’s father. Erebus is described as a father-like figure towards Sel and he has a history and a clear fondness for Natasia (He knew where she was at the end of Bloodmarked). However, we know that the Order supposedly monitored Natasia closely while they ensured she gave birth to an heir. Obviously, since both her and Sel are powerful Merlins there must be more to discover about their bloodline. Also, it is mentioned how closely Sel resembles Merlin his ancestor not only in appearance but also in mannerisms. Sel is a prodigy and has the rare ability to transform into an Owl like his ancestor Merlin. Not to mention, the skill he used to craft aether constructs to hold Bree together after her injury which isn’t easy to do and most likely would’ve killed other Merlins attempting to do it.
Theory 2: Maybe Selwyn’s bloodline has ancestral ties to someone on the Shadow Court.
Nicholas Martin Davis
He's going to be leading the faction of the Order that's still loyal to the Knights of the Round Table.
Maybe he'll continue to forge a further alliance with the Line of Morgaine. Nick will then be further exposed to how they live and maneuver outside of the Order. He is trying to find a solution to stop the Legendborn Cycle without the Scion of Arthur having to die. In Bloodmarked, he found something out but he didn't get to elaborate on it further.
In General
I think the relationship between Sel and William is underrated.
There’s still much we don’t know about Cambions and unions. So far, we know:
Full Demon + Human = Cambion
Human + Cambion = Cambion
But what about: Full Demon + Cambion = ?
Cambion + Cambion =  ?
Are these unions even possible or allowed and could they produce offspring?
On the cover of Bloodmarked, I think Bree is wearing the outfit that she wore during the Rite of Kings ceremony.
Valechaz is clearly enamored and fascinated with Bree and he's such a wildcard. Valec at times can also be hard to read. Will he be a friend or foe going forward?
This may be an unpopular opinion, but in terms of a TV series adaptation of the Legendborn Cycle, I would prefer that it be an animated TV series rather than a live-action series.

It was 1558, and Aziraphale was ordered to keep a close eye in the new Queen of England. It had been 2 months since she took the throne. Both the kingdom and the court were still recovering from the death of the previous queen and the changes Elizabeth I was bringing to the metaphorical table.
Alas, life in court never stopped, and life moved one, with lavish dinners and parties to entertain the nobles.
He knew Crowley was also in court because of course he was. He had exactly the same orders as Aziraphale, just from the other side of the playing field. So there was no way they wouldn't see each other quite regularly. Even though they surrounded themselves with different circles of nobility, said circles mingled often, so they were pushed together constantly. Not that Aziraphale was exactly complaining. He would never say it out loud, but having the demon in such close proximity was like a reassurance. A certainty he wasn't alone amongst these very rich, very posh, very impersonal people.
"Lord Fell." Aziraphale was snapped out of his internal monolog back to real life. Just then, he noticed he had been staring at Crowley, who stood on the other side of the saloon, back turned towards him, talking to two other men near the window. "You appeared to have been transported to another place for a moment there."
Aziraphale offered his young companion a smile, turning his full attention towards him.
"Apologies, Sir Davies. Sometimes, I get caught inside my own head."
"Don't I know it." He chuckled, waving towards a corner of the saloon, near the buffet. "Unless you want the ladies to swarm you with requests to dance, I advise we move away from this spot. Lady Thomas appears to be looking in your direction and I would say it's a matter of time until she approaches."
"Heavens, no." The angel starts walking in the advised direction, Sir Davies right behind him. "I'm absolutely dreadful at dancing."
"Yes, you quite avoid it like the plague." There's music and laughter around as they push their way away from the focus of the masses. A man distractedly walking backwards bumps into Aziraphale, causing him to fall out of balance, but Davies reaches out for his hand, stabilizing him and dragging him the rest of the way to the far wall, trapping him between said wall and his own presence. "I always wondered if it's indeed the dancing or if you just don't like the ladies." Aziraphale blushed and opened his mouth, ready to defend his honour, but Davies looked over his own shoulder and kept talking. "Look at that, looks like Lady Thomas found a new target rather quickly. I feel for Baron Morgan. He won't leave that dance floor so soon. Ah, but it appears somebody else is interested in you, Lord Fell. That red haired fellow is clearly looking this way."
Aziraphale's head snapped up, following his gaze. Across the room, Crowley had apparently moved and was now in Aziraphale's direct lign of sight. The two other men also moved to accommodate his new position. He stared back at Aziraphale for a while before turning his attention to the man on his left, breaking the quick spell Aziraphale had fallen under.
As the night progresses, the men seem finally captivated by the buffet, while most women join in circles and pull on their fans, distracted with conversations amidst polite chuckles. Aziraphale and Sir Davies remain in the same place, talking about their first impressions on the new Monarch, their favorite dessert served that evening, how long did Lord Fell intend to stay in court. Overall, he is a great conversationalist, and the time flowed between them rather without notice.
At some point, Sir Davies seemed to eye something that caught his attention, and he excused himself, approaching one of the buffet tables. But Aziraphale isn't alone for long. Sir Davies quickly returns with two full glasses of wine and offers one to the angel, who eagerly accepts it.
"I'm quite enjoying my time in the court myself." He comments, smiling at Aziraphale in between sips. "Never thought I would be one to enjoy these types of parties, but one gets rather used to them."
Aziraphale smiles back, but his eyes are not on him. Instead, he is looking around, trying to place a head of auburn hair that had seemingly disappeared without notice, but there he was. Leaning against one of the mirrors on the wall, glass on his right hand, still talking to one of the men from before, the third one apparently gone. As if on purpose, the music picked up once again, and quickly, the saloon got flooded with dancing pairs, obstructing his view of the demon.
"Lord Fell?" Davies follows his gaze, not seeing anything in particular, before looking back to his companion. "Are you quite alright? You look a bit..."
He had no idea which expression had overtaken his face, but he was quick to school it, finally looking up at the man in front of him.
"I'm fine, my dear. Just got distracted with the music. Was trying to place where I've heard this piece before." Aziraphale says, taking a long sip of his drink.
Sir Davies raises an eyebrow, looking him up and down with a concerned expression. But apparently, he decides to ignore whatever thoughts were plaguing his mind because his shoulders relax, and he starts talking again. At some point the knight, with a bit more of alcohol in his system than he apparently could take, vehemently insists that 'Sir Davies' makes him sound like an old boring man and that Aziraphale should call him Oliver. Apparently, he wouldn't hear otherwise.
"No offense, but I'm of the opinion the nobility has a tendency to take themselves too seriously. Like the world revolves around their own heads, and whoever is on the outskirts of their vision is but a mere detail."
"Quite." He goes to take another sip of wine but finds his cup empty. "Excuse me, Oliver, but I might go fetch some more wine for myself." The young man was about to open his mouth, but Aziraphale lifts his hand, stopping him. "You've had quite enough, my dear. If I were you, I would lay down the wine for the time being. Wait here, yes? I'll be back in a jiffy."
With that said, Aziraphale ventured towards the buffet table, moving around nobles, trying not to bump into any of them, and, if he did, he was quick to apologize. Almost at the table, he is pushed and bumps into a lady he was not familiarized with. She bats her eyelashes at him, and he apologizes, receiving a chorus of giggle from her and her circle of companions in return. Offering her a soft polite smile, he turns around and once again bumps into someone, face first into a sturdy chest. Staggering back a few steps, a couple of hands came to his sides, stabilizing him. Just then, he looked up, meeting sunglasses.
"Crowley."
"Having fun yet, angel?" The demon let goes of him, but Aziraphale could still feel his warm hands on his hips. "I haven't seen you on the dance floor yet. You seem rather distracted with that man you've been talking to."
"You know I don't dance." He ran his free hand down his clothes, smoothing any wrinkles from the impact. "Besides, I haven't seen you there either."
Crowley offers him a smile, pulling the wine jug from the table beside them and topping Aziraphale's glass.
"You clearly haven't been looking enough." Someone behind them calls Crowley's name, and both look towards the sound. It was the same man he had been mingling with the whole night. He didn't look very impressed. The demon clicked his tongue and looked back at the angel. Their hands brushed against each other as he leaned closer, just so Aziraphale could hear. "Work to do. Don't forget to sober up before leaving for your chambers. You're very annoying when you're hangover." And with that he turned around and left, leaving the angel there with the ghost of his touch still on his hips and his breath against his cheek.
With a quick shake of the head, Aziraphale downed the whole glass and left it on the table, also returning to his companion that was now leaning against the wall, still half full glass of wine in his hand, but apparently two other men had joined him. By their clothing, they were also knights and Aziraphale almost had half a mind to leave young Davies to his colleagues, but then, he had told the poor lad to wait for him, hadn't him? That's how he got acquainted with Sir Murray and Sir Pearson. Two other fine young men with sharp tongues and quite a sense of humor.
It was another two hours or so when Aziraphale noticed the bell of the cathedral ringing, announcing midnight. Yet, the ball appeared quite away from being over. The musicians still playing, and the saloon still filled with dancing couples. That was when he noticed he hadn't seen Crowley for quite some time. He shouldn't feel uneasy about that, and yet he does.
Crowley was working, just like himself. It's not like they were always glued at the hip. Actually, doing so would be stupidly dangerous. With Heaven's eyes currently on the queen and, per consequence, on him, the fewer interactions they had, the safer it was...yet, it was stronger than him.
"Are we boring you, Lord Fell?" Sir Pearson asked when Aziraphale excused himself.
"Not at all, dear fellow. I just need some air, is all. I'll run to the balcony and be back before you know it." He looked at Oliver, who was half awake half asleep leaning on the wall. "Do keep an eye on him. I'm afraid he will fall on his feet if he doesn't find a place to sit in a couple of minutes."
Pearson nodded, and off Aziraphale went through the saloon in the opposite direction of the balcony. Eventually, he finds himself out of the saloon and in the corridors of the palace. The lights were mostly out, just a candle lit here and there to keep some semblance of clarity.
Aziraphale keeps walking, only meeting maids and other personal in the almost empty corridors.
He was on his way to Crowley's chambers, with no other idea of where to look for him, when he walked by the big doors of the library. They were closed, but the sound of something falling caught his curiosity. Everyone was supposed to be in the saloon. Maybe it was a maid cleaning? Offering a helping hand would surely be what an angel would do, no? No. He was looking for Crowley. Which he probably shouldn't be doing, but now he was determined, and it was too late to go back.
He was about to keep moving when he heard something else falling and what sounded like a gasp. Maybe the maid had hurt herself? Heavens, he had to check. He couldn't just ignore someone in clear distress.
Carefully, he opened the door of the library and peered inside. At first, he saw nothing but absolute darkness. He took a quiet step inside, and that's when he saw it. He recognized the jacket the man leaning over what appeared to be a desk was wearing, but even more quickly, he recognized the long strands of red hair the man's hand was hidden in...oh goodness.
Aziraphale was quick to give a couple of steps back and leave the library, a hand resting on his chest. He had quite clearly found Crowley, under that man from the saloon, leaning on the desk, a couple of books on the floor near the man's feet. They were kissing.
...Heavens, if someone caught them, Crowley would be done for. So, as quietly as he could, he reached for the door and quietly closed it, still in time to hear the man moaning against Crowley's mouth. His heart started beating terribly fast. He took some quick steps back until his back hit the opposite wall, trying to catch his breath.
Right.
This...this has been a terrible idea.
His mouth was terribly dry, and his head was pounding. The man's moan reverberated inside his brain, and he quite violently shook his head, trying to cast it as far away as possible.
A drink. That's what he needed. A drink that would, at the very least, steady his hands.
And that's how he found himself back in the saloon, new wine glass in hand. The first glass was drank in a single motion, and he was quick to fill his cup again, resting his hands on the table and leaning slightly over it with his eyes closed, trying to regain reign of his heart that seemed to gallop against his chest.
"Lord Fell!" Aziraphale spinned around quickly, coming face to face with Lady Thomas, who was offering him her hand. He quickly took it and kissed it, dropping it a bit more suddenly than what was polite. "I've been looking for you most of the evening! And you-" She stopped talking, running her eyes through his face very carefully. "Dear God, you are terribly pale. Do you need to sit down?"
Aziraphale takes a deep breath, closing his eyes for a second before offering her a quite ridiculous smile.
"Would you like to dance, Lady Thomas?"
She looks at him, quite confused for a bit. Aziraphale was known in court for never dancing, so that request was quite bizarre on his part. But she surely wasn't going to lose the opportunity. Smile on her lips, Lady Thomas offered him her hand, and he took it, guiding her to the center of the saloon. Angels were not supposed to know how to dance, but he wasn't the best angel around - or so Gabriel insisted on reminding him. He had watched enough balls to have picked up a thing or two, so he wasn't so terrible as that. Yet, he still allowed Lady Thomas to take charge. She kept talking amidst the music, and he responded to the best of his abilities, but his head was miles away. Well, maybe not miles, but surely a few corridors away. The moan sounded once again on his mind, and he missed a step, bumping against his pair.
"Apologies, Lady Thomas. Maybe I've had a bit too much to drink."
"Nonsense. I'm just surprised you had this sudden change of heart. Why did you decide to invite me to dance, if I may ask, Lord Fell?"
From the corner of his eye, he noticed the man that now kept plaguing his mind, re-entering the saloon alone. No Crowley to be seen. A pang of worry made his heart skip a couple of beats, but he swallowed it down, focusing on the smiling woman on his arms.
"Apparently, the trick is finding me when I'm drunk enough." He joked, but his heart was not in it.
Truth is, Aziraphale didn't see Crowley for the rest of the night. Or the day after. Or the day after that one. It had been a week and a half when he finally laid eyes on him, just strolling through the palace's back gardens in the company of two ladies.
He thought about approaching and acting like nothing happened, but his courage was failing him. So he just stood there, at the window, looking down the group.
Next time they talked was during a play at the Globe. The queen was in attendance, so so was most of the court. Crowley purposely seeked him and stayed beside him through the whole play, commenting on it...or, better yet, complaining. It was a tragedy, and he appeared not to be the biggest fan of the genre. Aziraphale tried to keep up the conversation the best he could, but every time he looked at the demon, his eyes would slip from the sunglasses to his lips, and he had to quickly look back at the actors, unconsciously licking his lips while his heart hammered heavily against his chest. Thankfully, Crowley didn't appear to notice how awkward Aziraphale was feeling.
The angel almost jumped out of his corporation when he felt Crowley's fingers brush against his, lingering for way longer than they probably should. So much so, Aziraphale had to be the one moving his hand away.
"This is boring me out of my mind. What do you say we get out of here? I found a tavern with a real good white wine from Belgium."
His hand brushed against his once again, but this time, Aziraphale didn't move away. He would swear for the next few centuries he had felt Crowley's finger hooking itself on his for a quite a long moment. Long enough for Aziraphale to look at him, feeling his finger be slightly squeezed.
"Belgium?"
"Yup. My treat."
Once again, his eyes slipped to the demon's lips. Feeling Crowley's warm hand on his was not helping the matter whatsoever.
"Are you sure you want me to go with you?"
Crowley raised an eyebrow, leaning closer, now his whole arm touching Aziraphale's.
"What type of question is that? Would I be asking if I didn't want you to join me?"
"No, I suppose not." Finally he moved his hand away, escaping Crowley's grip. "Alright. Show me the way."
He never really brought up that kiss on the library or Crowley's proximity at the Globe that day, but both plagued him for a few centuries. Up until a certain argument over Holy Water, and he forced himself to suppress anything Crowley related inside his mind for the good part of 2 decades. Soon, other matters started plaguing him, and those fell to the background, but from time to time, he would still see the man leaning over Crowley, and his mind painted him a picture of what it must have felt like to moan against those lips.
It would take more than a century until he figured that out for himself. Finally burying the jealousy he had felt for centuries towards a long dead man.

Lisa?
“Lisa?” John sputtered, the blood draining from his face in shock.
Lisa smiled at him uncomfortably, arms wrapped around herself tightly as she sat slouched into the seat of Garcia’s couch. She was dressed in John’s new clothes, an oversized sweatshirt, and sweatpants that seemed to swallow her lanky form. She nodded halfheartedly.
“Hey, John.” John took a few uncertain steps toward her and sat down next to her on the other end of the couch, still careful to keep his distance. He couldn’t help but smile at her.
“I’m glad to hear your voice, Lisa,” He spoke quietly, “How— How are you feeling?” Lisa certainly looked more healed from when they’d found her first and John hoped she felt that way.
Lisa twisted a strand of limp blond hair around her finger and sighed. Her wounds, though still stark against her pale skin, seemed a little better. She didn’t meet his eyes as she responded.
“I’m…” Lisa trailed off, eyes shadowed as she stared at the floor. John felt a pang of dread at her reluctance to speak. He felt his nails dig into his palms. My God, she remembers. She must hate me.
“I-I’m so sorry, Lisa— I’m so… How much do you remember?” He asked breathlessly. Finally, she looked up to meet his eyes, an unfamiliar expression in them, one he’d never seen in her kind blue eyes.

So . . . I was sent these.
A couple of you know I used to have a Beetlejuice x Lydia blog. Used to be into the fandom big time, since the movie first opened in 1988. Then, for reasons I won't get into, I lost interest in all things Beej.
But some people still read my Beej fics on AO3. And one of them sent me these photos from Beetlejuice 2. They also sent me the link to the article they appeared in.
So for you few Beetlebabes who still Follow me -- you know who you are -- here's the article.
“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”... Beetlejuice returns in first look at Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder
Nick Romano
Wed, March 20, 2024 at 9:00 AM CDT
Tumblr media
It's been 36 years, but once again, the juice is loose.
After reprising Batman in last year's The Flash, Michael Keaton returns to another iconic role in Entertainment Weekly's exclusive first look at Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to director Tim Burton's cult hit.
Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara also reprise their roles as Lydia and Delia Deetz, respectively, while Burton's Wednesday star Jenna Ortega plays Lydia's daughter Astrid, and The Leftovers star Justin Theroux plays Rory. Further details on Rory remain under wraps for now — unlike the titular "bio-exorcist."
The original Beetlejuice (1988) followed the recently deceased Barbara and Adam Maitland (Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin), who enlist the aid of the mischievous demon Beetlejuice/Betelgeuse (Keaton), to expel the current living residents of their home, the Deetz family. All hell, subsequently, breaks loose.
The sequel picks up decades later with a death in the family. "That's all I will say," Burton tells EW in an interview. "There's something that happens that sets things in motion." Could that be the death of Lydia's father, Charles Deetz (Jeffrey Jones)? The director plays coy: "We'll see." One thing's for sure, Beetlejuice comes back into play.
Burton describes getting Keaton back in the classic costume and makeup as "a weird out-of-body experience."
"He just got back into it," the filmmaker behind 1989's Batman (also starring Keaton) and 1993's The Nightmare Before Christmas recalls. "It was kind of scary for somebody who was maybe not that overly interested in doing it. It was such a beautiful thing for me to see all the cast, but he, sort of like demon possession, just went right back into it."
Tumblr media
Burton says he and Keaton have talked about a sequel on and off over the years. "Unless it felt right, he had no burning desire to do it," the director recalls. "I think we all felt the same way. It only made sense if it had an emotional hook."
Many concepts were floated around, some dating all the way back to the '80s, including a treatment set in Hawaii. "We talked about lots of different things," Burton says. "That was early on when we were going, Beetlejuice and the Haunted Mansion, Beetlejuice Goes West, whatever. Lots of things came up."
What they needed, however, was time. His actors, including Ryder and O'Hara, had all moved on to other projects after the original came out, and "nobody," Burton notes, "was really pushing for it." The filmmaker also admits he didn't initially (and still doesn't to some degree) understand the success of the first film, so he wasn't motivated to move forward with an idea that didn't excite him.
The hook he was looking for, as it turns out, revolves around Ryder's Lydia and bringing together three generations of Deetz women, including O'Hara's Delia and Ortega's Astrid. "I so identified with the Lydia character, but then you get to all these years later, and you take your own journey, going from cool teenager to lame adult, back and forth again," he explains. "That made it emotional, gave it a foundation. So that was the thing that really truly got me into it."
Other details on the film itself are being kept secret for now, other than the presence of Monica Bellucci (Spectre), Arthur Conti (House of the Dragon), and Willem Dafoe (Poor Things) among the cast. (Dafoe previously disclosed his role as a B-movie action star who died and became a police officer in the Afterlife.) Burton feels "a bit jinx-y" about revealing such things, given that he's still shaping the movie in the editing phase. But he does confirm he'll be using stop-motion animation to bring a lot of the classic Beetlejuice effects to the screen. "It needed a back-to-basics, handmade quality," he says. "It reenergized why I love making movies."
And what about that title? Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. "It's been, what? Thirty-five years. So it didn't feel like Beetlejuice 2 to me," Burton says. "It didn't feel like that kind of a movie. The other one I thought of, because one of my favorite Dracula movies is Dracula A.D. 1972, was Beetlejuice 2024 A.D. But this was a nice simple one."
Just don't say the name one more time, or you risk summoning the man himself.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will hit theaters on Sept. 6.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Addendum: Was sent the link to this, too.
I'm . . . fearfully optimistic . . . .

Thoughts after reading Carry On. I will be rereading Wayward Son next (and AWTWB after). I'm making this list after finishing the book so some of these thoughts were in my head the entire reread and some are from annotations on my Kindle was I went. (Also this is my second read the first time I read it on audiobook)
I forgot that Simon was defiantly a troublemaker and pretty ruff and tumble even before he found out about The World of Mages
F*CK THE MAGE, but also he does have a good point about allowing other creatures and low power mages into Watford
Miss Possibelf is "not exactly human" (page 95)
Lucy was defiantly in an abusive relationship and she was still defending Davy after death. i also don't really think Davy loved her :/ at least not like she wanted
i don't think that Simon every really thought he had a future. like he kinda figured between the Humdrum and the old families we wouldn't live to have a future and before the World of Mages he was a kid in care who was always getting into trouble
its pretty sad that the Kids where very aware they were gonna have to fight to the death and they really didn't want it and none of the Adults were willing to comment on it (i think Matali makes a quick comment later in ATWB)
Simons wand didn't not work because it wasn't blood related to him
Fiona had a normal job lined up before Natasha died (pg 173)
i have a half baked idea that the reason Simon can share his magic with Baz is because he is a Vampire, like the Humdrum can "give" magic to creatures so Simon can too
i was figuring out the age gap between the two adult groups (Lucy vs Ebb) and had it narrowed down to basically the same age when Martin straight up said he was a few years older than them...
Lucy was in the cottage with Davy for around 2 years ish before she got pregnant
"It was just flirting, it's not like I tried to feed her to a chimera." (page 277)
Baz sucks his fangs when he's thinking (page 330)
"I can't believe you're asking me this, Snow. You, who can't walk away from half a sandwich." (page 429)
"I can't believe there's a part of your body that grows when you need it." (page 391) i'm pretty sure this was supposed to sound spicy but i laughed either way
when Baz tells Simon to run after the Humdrum comes to the Pitch estate i think i cried, reading it the second time i know Baz isn't really blaming Simon but i remember the first time i read it i though Baz really though Simon did it
"Maybe it's not a spell, Maybe he transformed" (pg 426) i think that this is saying more than we give it credit for - another half baked idea that Simon is like half imp/ demon/ elemental (i think we all like the dragon idea but i'm realizing CO really wonders about the tail and how it isn't a dragon tail)
when Simon kills the mage previously i though it was because the mage couldn't stop physically hurting Simon but i think it probably had more to do with the emotional damage (i'm sure some of it was physical but...)
when reading fanfic i also realized that CO doesn't actually say Lucy's brothers name (Jamie) or most of Baz's siblings names

Cabinet of Curiosities Opinions
Roland (Lot 36) is not a neo-Nazi and the hair wreath is not made from the hair of concentration camp victims.
I didn't think this needed to be stated, since he called the Wolmar family evil, which he definitely wouldn't have done if he agreed with them. But apparently some people see "German guy talking about Nazis" and assume he's one himself. Weird.
As for the hair wreath, such things were popular in the 19th century, not the 1930s-40s. I went looking and couldn't find any extant examples from that era. Given the presence of other antiques from that period in the storage unit, like the summoning table, it makes far more sense for the wreath to be an earlier family heirloom. At the very least, even if it WERE some perverse latter-day craft project made by Dottie or her mother or something, there would be no reason for Roland and Agatha to assume that. So they'd probably believe it was innocent even if it wasn't.
2. Emilia is an avenging angel sent to test people like Nick.
This is a bit more of a stretch, but bear with me. When he gives her the lock, she says (in Spanish) "What kind of man are you?" An understandable response to him being a racist asshole, but to me it sounds like she's saying it in a measuring way, as if she's really wondering. Later, in her final appearance, the light behind her umbrella gives her a halo effect. And condemning him to be devoured by a demon he set loose seems like a pretty fitting thing for an angel to do if she's seen that he's past helping.
(This take brought to you by: whiny pissbabies on Reddit going on about "well he's not THAT bad and even if she couldn't see the demon, she KNEW the loan shark was after him so she should have REALIZED he was in real danger and let him out!!! the clearly symbolic racial-, gender-, and class-disadvantaged person in this 45-minute fictional story is the TRUE bad guy here, not the man who was listening to a white nationalist radio show and agreeing with it!")
3. Stacy's coworkers (The Outside) weren't actually that bad.
She feels isolated from them because they have nothing in common to talk about. We never see them actively being mean to her; just not being her best friend- and nobody is obligated to befriend coworkers if they don't want to. They invite her to the party, so clearly they do think of her. Sure, the one lady reacts badly to being given a taxidermy duck for Christmas, but...taxidermy IS a pretty contentious gift. Not something I would spring on someone at all. Stacy was just doing her best, so I don't blame her either. It's just an awkward situation all around, that's nobody's fault.
I feel like the point is not "this woman's bitchy coworkers drove her to change herself." It's that marketing and the media cause women to be internally critical on a deeply harmful level, even if nobody else is actually being critical of us.
4. The Outside has themes of sublimated homosexual desire.
Stacy has a tense relationship with her hsband, idolizes the women at work who are constantly touching and stroking each other, and literally makes out with the feminine-looking Allo Glo creature in the basement. I mean. Come on. This one seems like a no-brainer to me. I don't think that's the PRIMARY theme, but it's definitely there.
6. Nancy (The Murmuring) had something to do with Ava's death.
One theory I saw online was that she'd rolled over on her while co-sleeping, since the ghost she mistakes for baby Ava appears in the bed next to her. I'd believe it, and it definitely adds another layer to her sympathy with the mother ghost- who I just learned is named Claudette in the credits. Even though I very much doubt she did anything that purposeful.
7. Alternatively, Ava was not a baby when she died.
Edgar and Nancy are both on the older side to be new parents (Essie Davis was 52 during filming, though the character is probably somewhat younger), and Nancy has clear experience talking to older children when she addresses the little boy ghost. Ava's death was recent, so while I suspect the intention is that she was a surprise baby to a couple who assumed they'd never have any, she could have been any age within childhood.
8. Ava was named after birds.
"Avis" means bird in Latin and her parents are ornithologists. It just makes sense.

AN:
This post is formatted a bit differently from my other posts because I wanted it to be a bit easier to read without having change everything.
As always I hope this helps fanfic writers as well as other members of the fandom with wanting their OCs to be connected back to our favourite main characters.

Welcome to [Not Quite] Midnight Meditations (it's 2 am), inspired by boredom, bad choices (I just know I'm going to be tired at work in...6 hours), and that DP/JLU crossover snippet I posted a while back.
In this series, I'm basically gonna be posting stuff from my flash drive, and by stuff, I mean other fic snippets. These snippets are ideas/concepts that are not likely to ever become actual fics, but were interesting enough at the time to have me write a bit for them. I might eventually post something for an idea that will be a future fic, but that'll probably be rare. I'll be going in order of how my folders are organized, so we'll be starting with Digimon.
Tonight's snippet is a Gen 1 and 2 crossover during the whole Myotismon thing when Gatomon was still a "bad guy." Looking back at it, it seems my younger self was just as much a sucker for angst as my current self, because wow, I really made poor Davis go through it. I love him, though. I always thought his character had a lot of potential, story-wise...which is probably one of the reasons why I did it. I always seem to put my favorites through the wringer for some reason.
Anyway, let's get this show on the road, shall we?
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Gatomon tried her best not to fidget anxiously as group after group of frightened children was herded into a semblance of a line, all of them brought before her. She had no idea if Kari was in there or not, but she desperately hoped she wasn't. Although she was confident in her ability to keep her face straight with the knowledge that, should her partner pop up, she could lie, it vanished the moment Myotismon appeared through a portal to oversee the rest.
"Bring the next one," he demanded of the Bakumon.
Gatomon felt her heart race in fear at the sight of the small boy with maroon-colored hair, even though she had never seen him before. All she knew was that it wasn't fear of him rather than for him. Something inside of her screamed to protect him. To keep him safe because he was special…important…
Chosen.
She was barely able to hold back a gasp at the realization. Another chosen? Kari was supposed to be the last! Just what was going on here?! Despite the shock and the confusion, she grit her teeth and raced to come up with a plan. She hadn't expected this, but there was no way she could leave this boy, either, now that she knew.
It was made pointless when DemiDevimon announced that he'd found Kari.
Gatomon felt her heart sink at the look of triumph on Myotismon's face as he made another portal, and then felt it skip a beat in horror when- just as he'd been about to leave -he looked back. Gatomon hoped it was to address her but felt that hope drain as he turned right to the boy. It seemed he had sensed something as well.
"You, child, what is your name?"
It was obvious the boy was terrified, but that didn't stop him from glaring defiantly at the large demon digimon. "Why?"
Myotismon's eyes narrowed, and faster than Gatomon could blink, there was a sharp crack in the air, and the boy was on the floor, an angry red welt appearing on his chest through a tear in his shirt.
"Do not test my patience," he said, the calm tone of voice a complete contrast to the dangerous look in his eyes. "When I ask, you answer. What is your name?"
The boy sat up, tears streaming down his face as he gingerly placed a hand on the injury. It looked as if he was considering rebelling again, but finally looked away from Myotismon.
"D-Davis," he sniffled.
Myotismon regarded him a moment further before turning to DemiDevimon. "Bring him along."
"But we already found the last child-"
"Are you questioning me?"
"No! No, not at all!" He quickly called forth some Bakumon. "We're bringing the kid! Carry him!"
Each Bakumon took an arm and lifted the boy- Davis -into the air. To his credit, he seemed determined not to cry, and was even struggling somewhat.
"Such courage," Myotismon hissed, freezing everyone in place. "Perhaps…" He leaned down to be face-to-face with Davis, who had resumed his defiant glare. "…We shall see if I'm correct, I suppose."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
"I wouldn't be too sure of your victory," the demon sneered. "For while you have the advantage now, I hold the future in my grasp."
"What're you talking about, Myotismon?" Tai demanded.
Myotismon laughed cruelly. "It's ironic that you were the one to ask." With a snap of his fingers, the Bakumon reappeared, and the digidestined's eyes widened at the unconscious boy in their grasp.
"This child has brought forth questions. What is it that has granted him this power…? His personality? His resemblance to you? Or was it random?"
"What power?! Let him go and start talking!" Tai snarled, hating to see a kid within that monster's clutches.
"What power, you ask?" he smirked. "Ask Angewomon. I'm sure she sensed it as well."
They turned to look at Angewoman, whose head had hung low since the kid had popped up.
"He's a Chosen," she told them wearily. "He was among the children gathered at the convention center. I don't know how he was missed, but there's no hiding the feeling he has about him."
Everyone's eyes had widened at this information, unsure of what to think.
"How was he missed? It is because it was not yet his time. This boy is undoubtedly a Chosen, but his destiny awaited him in the future." Smug maliciousness shone in Myotismon's eyes as he approached him. "The future…I had no idea something like this was in store. To think that more would come along to take your place. No doubt I would have been caught unaware, thinking that you were the only ones that needed to be dealt with. But now that I have him, how will the future turn out? How will the future survive without courage?"
Matt was the first to get the insinuation and paled dramatically. "You don't mean-"
"Mean what?! What's he saying?!"
"Still don't get it? Not surprising. Still, it won't change that this is a rare find."
He reached out a bony finger and trailed it across the boy's face in a mock caress. As if sensing the ill intent, his eyes snapped open, and he leaned back as far as he could.
"Get away!" he managed to ground out, though his voice was raspy and weak.
"I see the Bakumon failed to break you," he hummed, the casual tone of his voice practically mocking them. "No matter. That will make this all the more fun."
"Fun?!" he yelled indignantly before breaking out into harsh coughing that wracked his small frame. "This isn't fun you-…you Count Chocula freak!"
Crack!
The girls let out stifled cries of horror while the boys gasped. Meanwhile, the boy howled in agony as the whip cut into already sensitive and damaged skin.
"You will respect me," Myotismon said with a deadly glare.
Davis was panting, tears streaming down his face, and his expression one of deep pain. With more than a few shuddering breaths, he lifted his head to meet Myotismon's glare straight on. "No."
A bright light suddenly engulfed him, forcing Myotismon to pull back and forming a shape that floored everyone but Matt.
"That's the Crest of Courage," Tai gasped.
A warm red glow lit up the older boy's chest as if reacting to the statement. From it, a beam of light shot into the sky, meeting the first and joining together before vanishing. Myotismon lunged forward with a snarl, taking a tight hold of the boy's throat.
"You weren't supposed to tap into your power yet."
"W-What power, you w-wierdo?" he choked out.
The response was a backhand that started to bruise almost immediately. Davis whimpered, reaching the limit of the limits he'd already pushed himself passed. With a choked sob, he let his head hang down, desperately wishing for someone, anyone, to help him. Myotismon smiled in victory, but before any more damage could be done, a flash caught their gaze. Looking up, they saw the sky was rippling, and from a small section, they could make out the image of a brightly lit cave.
Davis…
They turned their heads at the voice, wondering where it came from.
What's wrong, Davis…?
"Look, the cave!" TK pointed.
The image sharpened, and now all could see the cave as if it were right in front of them. On a small rock platform, a red egg with a bladed horn rested, the symbol of courage beneath it.
You're calling me…but it's not time to meet yet…
It began to glow softly. Davis coughed- his face red from the lack of air -but couldn't help but feel immense comfort from the voice.
"H-Help…" he gasped out. "P-Please…"
"No, you idiot boy! Don't call out to it!"
You're in pain…Why are you hurting…?
The group was surprised to see the nervousness that entered the vampire's face.
Digimon…There's a digimon there…You're not supposed to meet digimon yet…
The light pulsed around Daisuke. For a moment, nothing seemed to happen, but then, he gave a start, a shuddering gasp escaping him.
"V-…V-Mon…"
The Chosen all exchanged curious looks.
"V-Mon?…Could it be Daisuke's partner?" Izzy mused. "If he is a Chosen Child, it would make sense."
"But how does he know his digimon's name?"
"Special circumstances, I'll bet," Matt guessed grimly. "You heard Myotismon. The kid- Davis -isn't meant to be a Chosen yet. Then there was that symbol. I think…I think he was supposed to take Tai's place."
"So…does that mean there are other children that will take our place too?"
"I don't think this is the time to worry about that," Tai cut in. "It doesn't matter what he is, he's just a kid. We've gotta help him."
By this point, Myotismon seemed truly panicked. "Don't let him say any more!" he snarled at the Bakemon.
"V-Mon!" Davis cried, getting everyone's attention. "V-Mon, help!"
"Silence!"
The whip was raised once more, but everyone there could sense that if they let this blow hit, it wouldn't be good. Immediately, all the digimon rushed forward, hoping to make it in time. Before they could get very far, the egg in the cave shimmered and shot out of the portal, destroying the Bakemon and knocking Myotismon out.
Davis screamed as he fell.
Hang on, Davis!
The light, which had taken a winged shape, quickly caught him. The others watched in slight awe as it reached them. Up close, they could vaguely make out some slightly draconic features through the light. With great care, Davis- having finally passed out -was placed in a startled Tai's arms.
Myotismon is not yet defeated. Guard him well, Courage.
Tai blinked, a little panicked. "But- Can't you-"
I would stay, but it is not yet my time, just as it is not yet his.
"You're here now, aren't you?" Matt asked. "Can't you stay? We could use your help."
I am only here in spirit- my true self remains in the digital world. The form you see before you is a result of Davis's strength, aided by the power he will one day wield.
"That's what that light that came from me was? My crest brought you here because he's going to replace me?"
Dear Courage, no one can replace you. All he will be doing is continuing a legacy. A legacy that will continue for many generations. Never doubt your place in its noble line.
"That…doesn't really answer my question."
A warm feeling enveloped them, and they somehow knew the figure was laughing.
It is a partial reason. Mostly, I was brought here because Davis needed me.
"So you're his partner. V-Mon."
Essentially, yes, but I am also much more than that. I am the light of your combined Courage, Tai, mixed with an incredible amount of willpower and belief in the impossible. It is doubtful that I will ever appear to you in this form again.
The digimon reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair away from Davis's face, a slightly wistful feeling permeating the air. Davis smiled slightly, leaning toward the touch as dark bruises began to fade before their eyes.
This power you have given me allows me to heal some of his wounds but not all. Do not fret, for the scars he bears from this day forth will only remind him to never abandon his beliefs. By taking him in an attempt to destroy him, Myotismon has only succeeded in making him stronger.
"About that. When is he supposed to take my place? And does that mean there are others out there to take on the other crests?"
The figure was silent for a moment, considering the question.
I suppose there's no harm in telling you, seeing as Myotismon has already ruined the stream of events. There are two others meant to be Chosen with Davis. Together, with Hope and Light, they are to be the next group.
They looked at Kari and TK, who seemed surprised.
"But- that's still not enough people. How-?"
The virtues will be paired together in order to give the next Chosen greater strength. Hope and Light will grow to their full potential, and Friendship will reach for Kindness, who is lost in darkness.
There was a rumbling sound, and to their horror, Myotismon was waking up.
Now, however, it is your time, not theirs. Defeat this monster, and bring peace to the Digital World. Do not worry about future threats, for just as there will always be a threat, so must there always be those who fight against it. Take care, Children of Virtue, and good luck.
The digimon burst into light, and they briefly felt a warmth envelop them.
"He healed us a little," Joe noticed. "Just like with Davis."
Tai was looking down at the boy, his eyes lingering on some of the injuries that were still there. "So…you're the next Courage, huh?" He smiled sadly. "It must have been tough being Myotismon's prisoner…I'm sorry I couldn't help you."
"There's nothing you could have done," Matt said, placing a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Nothing any of us could have done. But we know now that this kid is going to be incredible. He has a stubbornness to match yours if he was still talking back to Myotismon after what he went through."
"Yea…and we'll have to make sure there's no chance of it ever happening again."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
"I've been thinking a lot over what V-Mon said," Izzy told the group as they rested at his house.
"About?"
"The next Chosen."
"Oh yeah, I forgot about it with everything that happened."
The others smiled at Tai's admission. It had slipped their minds somewhat too, but it was understandable. It hadn't really been until they'd come back and discovered that Davis had been picked up by his family that they'd given it any thought at all.
"What about it?" Sora asked, curious.
"The virtues will be paired together," Izzy quoted. "Before he left, he called us the Children of Virtue. I think he meant our crests, and that each new Chosen will get the power of two of them."
"So…Davis will have Courage…and something else?"
"He'll embody Courage and something else," he corrected. "The crests won't go to any random person, after all."
"That's true. But then…there's only going to be one new Chosen? Because of TK and Kari?"
"No, he mentioned that too, remember?" he mused. "He said there will be two more. Besides, Hope and Light are powerful, we've all seen that, so I think for them, it'll just be getting full control. The other six crests will be divided among three new Chosen. Then there's the other thing he said…I think…I think there might be another kid out there with a different crest. One that wasn't with us because they couldn't join us."
"Kindness," Mimi cut in, her eyes widening in realization.
"Exactly. Somewhere out there is a Chosen who's in trouble. I can't imagine the sorts of things being lost in darkness would do to a kid that embodies Kindness."
"Can't we help them?"
"We might not need to," Matt said. When everyone looked at him, he clarified. "Friendship will reach for Kindness, who is lost in darkness."
"So the one that gets the crest of Friendship will save them?"
"Not necessarily. V-Mon just said that they'll reach for them. That doesn't guarantee that they'll succeed. We'll just have to keep a lookout when the time finally comes."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
"Kari, I saw him!"
Kari turned at TK's frantic whisper. "Who?"
"Davis!"
"What?!"
"He was playing soccer outside, and I kind of thought he was Tai at first, but it was definitely him!"
Before she could ask more, the bell rang, and they had to make their way inside. TK stood at the front of the class, although he was surprised that Davis was there too.
"We have two new students today, Takeru Takaishi and Davis Motomiya."
TK quickly greeted the class, well aware of the whispers that had started about both his looks and the distinct scar that fell diagonally across Davis's right eye. If the other boy heard them too, he didn't show it.
"Hey!" Davis greeted with a smile. "I'm looking forward to being in class with you. Please treat me kindly."
At lunch, their plans to befriend Davis were hindered by the small group surrounding him.
"What happened to your face?"
Davis paused mid-slurp, a noodle still hanging out of his mouth, something briefly flashing in his eyes before he shrugged. "Accident."
"Did it hurt?"
"It's my eye," he pointed out with a good-natured laugh.
The one who asked smiled sheepishly. "Point taken."
"I saw you playing soccer earlier. You're really good, how come you're not in the soccer club?"
"I wanted to be," Daisuke groaned. "But after the accident, my mom got really protective. She pulled me out of the school I was going to and homeschooled me. I couldn't even go outside without my parents or my sister. I just managed to convince them to let me come here."
"Sounds tough."
"Oh you have no idea. I hate being stuck inside."
"I'd hate it too. Hey, now that they let you out, though, you could join the soccer team! We're short a player, and you'd be great!"
Pink tinged Davis's cheeks as a pleased smile spread across his face. "You think so? I didn't think I was that good."
"Not that good? Please. Coach is gonna have kittens. He's always complaining about how his best player had to grow up on him and graduate."
Another boy snorted. "You got that right. It's always 'Tai never made that mistake,' or 'Tai got that move down in just one week.'"
"Don't get us wrong, though," a third boy cut in. "Tai is actually really nice. He taught us a lot, and he still plays with us sometimes."
"Sounds like a cool guy. Maybe I'll get to meet him too."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Past me actually ended up writing a lot for this one, haha. Hope you liked it! Now, I really should go to sleep, so...later!

"Forest of the Dead" thoughts
i think this is my favorite davies-era moffat story. i mean, "blink" is iconic and tightly constructed, and "empty child/doctor dances" has a phenomenal backbone, but nothing can really compete with professor river song. sorry
we open with what my boyfriend called "runescape ass music" and donna wakes up in a dream world where she meets a husband and has two kids. it's all very nice and she seems quite happy. river says the doctor is "the only story you'll ever tell, if you survive him" which i think is a reasonable judgment. he wants to know how he's supposed to trust her and she whispers something in his ear and he agrees to trust her
donna gets a weird letter from the demon from "insidious" that basically says this world is a lie. the doctor is able to talk to mr hey who turned out the lights by using the neural relay in his suit and the vashta nerada inform him that this is their home, they were born here. they're found in forests normally and this is their forest, born from a million million books. donna is told by the demon that all the kids in that world are the same and we see that they are. the demon is just miss evangelista copied wrong
river is not so sure about the doctor bc he isn't "her" doctor yet, he's unfinished. they realize the "saved" 4k people were literally saved to the computer hardd rive. he says "i bet i like you" to river and she says "oh, you do" i would actually kill to see more tennant/kingston on screen, they could have amazing chemistry
donna's kids disappear bc they aren't real. i like the quote from miss evangelista where she said she had "the two qualities required to see absolute truth: i am brilliant, and unloved" mamma mia. the doctor beefs w the vashta nerada again "i'm the doctor and you're in the biggest library in the world. look me up"
he decides to filter the hard drive through his own brain to get the ram needed to bring everyone back but river says fuck no that'll kill him so she punches him out, handcuffs him to a post, and wires herself in. he begs her not to "time can be rewritten" and she's crying as she says "not those times. not one line, don't you dare" and it's revealed the word she whispered in his ear was his name. she explodes but it worked and the people are saved
donna tries to find her dream-husband but can't. we see he's real but can't call out to her in time :( the doctor realizes he gave river his sonic in the future bc he found a way to save her and uploads her to the computer where she can be w her dead friends and dream children and alex kingston looks so beautiful in that white gown i want to kill myself
yeah this is straightfowardly a gorgeous story with not a second wasted, an impressive feat for a 2-parter. river is such a good character it's unreal and the vashta nerada are used perfectly, explored just as much as necessary while also being mostly background drama/catalyst for the doctor/river situation. i assume it must have been known at this point that moffat would be taking over for davies, right? obviously he knew it would be his last season and i can't imagine river being introduced as anything except a teaser. but not too much cause it'd be spoilers ;)
god i fucking love this story. i've never heard a bad word about it, we all love it. and next up, the donna relaxes peacefully while the doctor has the worst day of his life

I KEEP FORGETTING TO ASK ABOUT THIS have u ever talked abt the alt swap au u have??? if u haven't i would VERY much like to hear abt it :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(dont mind the different fucking formats i switched from doing this on my phone to on my computer bc making tumblr posts on my phone is gross <////3 )
YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH I DONT THINK I HAVE YET!!!!!!!! i love this au i need to work on it more </3
so the basic idea i had for this au is that every alt from canon got swapped with a human.
here’s. the entire flow chart TNFNENRNMD
Tumblr media
it’s so fucking complicated who i swapped with who so. yeah you’re gonna need this xdddd
i do have some plot changes to canon too!!
cain and mabel (tv six and stanley) both live!!!!! however they have to carry a LOT of emotional baggage now, especially sonce cain spent three days of hell in his room and mabel now has wanted posters of her alternate everywhere.
they also run bps!!! their triplet seth and davis (intruder six and puppet) do the actual investigations, mabel handles most of the online shit, and cain is just the main leader. seth and davis also both live (davis bc fuck you, and seth bc. well DCFVGBHN) but ALS with extreme emotional baggage. seth being the obvious one because he's an alternate, but davis has a copy of him following him everywhere (though he actually is pretty harmless) and has to deal with the backlash of leaving seth at the house they were investigating.
dave still runs mandelatech, but it's mostly a hotspot for him to like. gain targets and stuff. adam and eve (yeah i call her eve in this au bc. evil ig DCFVGBHN) actually do the stealing of kids together as a tag team. they are almost never away from each other.
and yeah, we got lieutenant gabriel here too. however, he's just thatcher without the evil demon clone harassinh him. he still has the dead coworker (maria), however he wasn't as close to her as thatcher was to ruth in canon.
tiffany takes evelin's place here!!! however, she goes by lilith for au purposes. she's snarky, bitchy, and kinda hates her job and her boss. i think she still does find the tv in dave's closet, but dave is a liiittle more upfront about it while making excuses about it. and for au purposes, no she and seth do not date. they are definitely enemies tho from like high school, so yeah they do NOT like each other.
jonah does take stanley's place and works with adam sometimes, but he is actually very afraid of adam. he just kinda does what he says to not piss anyone off. ruth also becomes preacher, so she gets to be funky in vol 2. definitely fucks with seth's head a lil bit.
thatcher is actually just a cool guy!!! he wants to learn about people and be friends!!!! he's just a lil guy <333333 he hands around davis because he just found him interesting. they met before the events of vol 2, and they're kiiinda cool w each other. davis just doesn't want others knowing he has an alternate friend. i do feel like thatcher helps seth with accepting the fact that he's an alternate.
here’s some concepts i made for everyone!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i love these designs w all my heart <33333 THEY JUST. LOOK SO COOL!!!!!!!

Story:
Backstory: Zachary, also known as Zach, is the son of Jack Sparrow, his mother sadly died in childbirth so Jack doesn’t know who’s going to take care of his son knowing that if he take his son with him will be dangerous, so he ask his old friend Belle and his husband Adam also know as the Beast, to take care of his son while going out on adventure, he, of course, will visit once in a while. As he grows up at the age 7 he develop his superpower from his mother side of the family, his father Jack told him about his mother and her family about their powers and how they are not magic and involves more on the genetic side of the family. When he was at the age of 10, he has been excel on his P.E. class including his fencing thanks to both of his speed and agility, he even able to beat the adult even their strongest one, when Adam, Belle, and the current captain of the royal guard learn this, they decided that Zach not only will be the next captain of the royal guard, he will also be Ben personal bodyguard, and Zach has been training since then and became the vice-captain of the royal guard. Years went by as Zach attend Auradon Prep School and became the captain of the fencing team for R.O.A.R. When weeks before Ben coronation, Ben and Zach are having a conversation about the VK’s at the Isle, Ben thinks that the villian kids deserve a second chance and Zach agrees with him and made a list of villains kids that he was able to made during his stays on the Isle for a day. When Ben look at the list of vks he decided chose Jay the son of Jafar, Carlos the son of Cruella DeVil, Evie the daughter of the Evil Queen, and Mal the daughter of Maleficent. When Ben already pick his chosen vks, he wants Zach to chose a vks as well since he is his brother figure and his best friend, who always by his side and protect him, so Zach look at the list and see a certain name that he’s interesting “Harry Hook” if Zach remember he is the son of Captain James Hook interested on this pirate vk he pick him as his chosen, as well, from what he learns during his time at the Isle all of the chosen vks are in the gang so it would be a good idea for having someone they know and comfortable. Things went the same with Harry who joins them in Auradon, when they tried to steal the magic wand one of the items that Zach stole the moonstone necklace started to glow as if it’s responding to someone, and that someone is Harry Hook, who is part werewolf thanks to his mother, who is not only a former Alpha in her pack but also Zach auntie which means that Harry is his long-lost cousin. When the Core Five failed the attempts to steal the wand, the event went the same when FG suggest that Jay and Carlos to spent their energies on tourney while Harry spent his on the fencing team as well on the dancing club seeing that Harry likes to dance from time to time, after tourneys is done it was time for fencing practice, which Harry is pretty excited about it. Before practice started Zach made an announcement that since he is going to be officially become the captain of the royal guards during Ben coronations that means the position of the vice-captain is open, so he decided that the day after the tournament for the tourney are over there will be challenges for the fencing team so who could be the next vice-captain. The event is still the same in the canon when Mal asked Ben if they could be in the front seat on coronation but can’t ‘cause only him, Audrey, his parents, and the next captain and vice-captain of the royal guards, so when the Core Five learns this Mal decided to create a love potion to make Ben fell in love with her and have Harry to train for the challenges knowing that Mal has faith on Harry to win the spot. The rest is still the same after the tournaments, and now is the challenges the position of for the next vice-captain, in the end, Harry was able to won thanks to his werewolf ability without him knowing that he’s using it, but during that time is whene the necklace glow brightly at Harry when he using his power, of course, Zach notice this but decide to kept this to himself for now and will tell Harry his heritage after the celebration, so for now, he joins with the others and congratulate his cousin for winning. During Ben and Mal dating, Zach invite Harry on dance practice on his favorite place to dance where no one could hear or sees them. After having a little fun on their dance battle, Zach told Harry about his power and heritage, and gives him the moonstone necklace, as the necklace reacts to him and suddenly he feels all of his senses are in a whole different levels, and his canine teeth grew longer and sharper, proving that Harry is a werewolf. When Harry came back to his dorm and tell his fellow vk friends about this they couldn’t believe this and thought that his power could be useful when they’re going to steal the wand even though his full power could only work on the full moon his enchanted sense and strength could still be useful. The rest of the event are still the same in the canon in Descendants 1, as well in Descendants 2 & 3, well, except that in the final battle against Uma and Audrey that Harry joins the fight with Mal with his werewolf form, and after Descendants 2, Zach found Uma during his stroll on the beach when she see her and even though after what she did, he thought about her action and he understand her why she did it because not only her and the Wharf Rats but the entire kids on the isle wants to be free from the well as well, including the villains that wants to redeem for their actions and wants the second chances as well, so he decide to helps her hiding from the people of Auradon and secretly gives her food that he was able to steal from the kitchen and the cafeteria without everyone notice and during their with each other develop a feeling and fell in love after Descendants 3.
Current Life: He and Harry continue their life in Auradon as captain and vice-captain of the royal guards, and Zach help Harry his new found werewolf packs that he discover after the events of Audrey, and learn that werewolf are not the only monster, there is also zombies, alien, vampire, and etc, and like the children of Isle they want to help all the monsters to live peacefully not just in Auradon but the entire kingdoms as well.

I hope you all like my Descendants oc, in this Au Harry is in Mal’s gang instead with Uma because I really love Harry!! And not only that he is also part werewolf thanks to his mother side the only reason he wasn’t able to transform because of the barrier and he needs a moonstone necklace (like the one in ZOMBIES), as for who replacing Harry as Uma’s First Mate will be David Jones the son of Davy Jones.
This is gotta be the longest story that I write, I hope you all like the story ‘cause again, I suck at making a plot, so I let you guys tried to imagining it.
And like I said on on my last post of my Avatar x Avengers oc, I will be also making a list of the Descendants characters PKMN Team and Digimon partners but digidestined version of it.
I hope you all like it!!
