the luggage he had been missing finally arrived, stuffed into the back seat of a bentley. he’s waiting for his personal driver to take it, but seeing that he’s on the phone, he opens the door to try and get it out himself. the only thing is that whatever he had put into that luggage weighed a ton and he was struggling to even get it out of the car. “roberto! ayúdame, no?!” he shouts towards the other, to which he puts a hand over the phone and brings it down from his ear. “ahora voy, es que estoy hablando con tu mamá!” he replies, bringing the phone back to his ear. camilo rolls his eyes, “estúpido.” he mutters underneath his breath, trying, and failing, to get the luggage out of the back seat. it’s then that an arm from behind grabs the luggage out of the car and places it on the floor beside him, and at first, camilo assumes it’s probably roberto. “tanto te demoraste para...” he’s cut off short when he turns around, and realizes it’s not roberto, but someone he hasn’t seen in years. someone he never thought he would see again. someone he kind of, sort of wishes he would have never even met to begin with. he’s quiet at first, just staring at the other without muttering a word, but after another moment passes, he finally musters up the courage to say something. “thanks.” is all that leaves his lips, feeling somewhat uneasy now, and nostalgic.

he was glad when the other male had agreed to meet him for a beer or a drink. it’d seemed too long since the two had had a real chance to catch up and talk. “so, dude, really, what’s been new with you lately? it feels like it’s been too long.” dani was one of the few people who were far too decent, they could never rub cieran wrong, so his moodiness tended to stay in his back pocket around the other male. “you haven’t been avoiding me, right?” he decides to joke, lightly, “just working hard? although, i think i saw an instagram update or two that you might have one other distraction,” he hints. aside from being surprised that isabella would be in a full-blown public relationship and hoping she didn’t break dani’s heart, he thought they’d be good together. thought dani would honestly be good for her. not knowing a thing otherwise about the agreement.

Of all the short works and collections I read this year, these most understood how to tell a tight, rich tale!

Gave myself a mini heart attack

I opened my story I’ve been on a roll with, which I had just finished removing the 2010ish fanfic roots literally two hours before, and every all 8 new pages and every edit was gone.

A month or two of work just gone.

I started clt-z like crazy and that doesn’t work. This story is trapped on a 14 year old laptop that I’m locked out of the admin on so can’t get to the internet so it hasn’t been backed up on a third location in…ever

So I opened the folder with all the spy stories in it and pull up the file that has the same name as the one that’s already open

And when I tell you THAT WORKED

There where just two files with the same name *somehow*

So I took pictures of the fic so I’d have something to rewrite from if I ever did lose it and emailed them to myself

I'm gonna just.. talk about my spider characters Nicky and Daniyal for a moment.

Daniyal is a trans man who was mutated with spider dna in a lab. Daniyal looks more monstrous than the others cause he's mostly Spider than even Miguel. He's 7'4 and he's 350 pounds. He's more on the heavy weight size and he's still active and muscular like other spider people. Tho technically according to Lylas model, he's the 'radioactive spider' that bites whoever. Nicky is the spider kid of her universe. Daniyal escaped from the lab because a freedom fighter named Miguel found him and baby Nicky in a cell..and got them out to safety. Hiding him in his base. Eventually this universe's Miguel and Daniyal began a very romantic relationship, marrying and adding Gabriella later into the family. Sad when Nicky was seven, Nicky's spider powers exposed their location to Osborne (the scientist that held Daniyal captured) Miguel, Gabriel and a few other adults in the freedom fighters group were killed. Daniyal was detained and mind controlled to be used as a weapon. Detaining the other parents of the freedom fighters group and basically we're going to let the children starve and wither away.

Osborne didn't really think Nicky, at age 7 would regroup the kids and start her own freedom fighters movement.

Tho Nicky struggled a lot. Many kids did die, either it be from lack of food or Osborne literally bombing their hide outs cause he's THAT kind of petty.

Nicky tried using the red symbiote to just charge Osborne..that didn't work. So she went to doc ock because he has a machine that.. supposedly can help her find other universe..she goes to get help.

Finds Miles and eventually Miguel gets involved cause goddamnit there is an anomaly in Miles' universe AGAIN.

Blah blah blah still trying to figure this out.

Day 2/30 - 30 days of Movies Challenge

| August 6th, 2022 | - Phantom (2015) - 8.5/10

First Impression: Right off the bat, I’ll tell you I’m not much of an action movie fan, so I had been putting off watching this movie for weeks. I was obsessed with the song “Afghan Jalebi” for the last 2 weeks and that did a better job promoting the movie than any trailers (since there are none!). Usually when I watch a show/movie because I love the OST, I end up disappointed (*cough* Heartstrings). So I had low expectations going in as this movie isn’t popular and if it wasn’t for the song I would’ve never encountered it. 

Spoiler-Free (ish) Review: I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very well-made movie. There were multiple connected missions each with a “climax” so not a minute passed when I wanted to pause the movie and put it down out of boredom. My biggest issue with thrillers (or action thrillers in this case) is unanswered loose-ends. And there were none in this movie, so that gave it brownie points alone. Plus, there was an extended version of Afghan Jalebi ✨ in the movie which I didn’t know about. 

I’m a big fan of the fast pacing in this movie too. No scene seemed unnecessarily elongated, including the 1 minute worth of romance. The romantic aspect was very tastefully-done, and actually connected to the main plot instead of being thrown in as a convenience between the main characters. Saif carried his independent scenes well, and Katrina’s character was the cherry on top. Her life, her demeanour, the way she dressed, etc., made her seem realistic and likeable to watch on screen. No over-the-top acting or drama.

My only complaint is, I wish there was more explanation on how the different culprits related to one another and the event. It was easy to follow for the first 2 targets, but once we got to the 3rd one I was unaware who he was and why he was in Syria; or who the last target was in relation to the event. Moreover, the final scene reminded me of the Titanic, and there were similarities between Phantom and A Taxi Driver (2017) in the last 40 minutes - but to be fair, Phantom was released 2 years before 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Final Thoughts: One of the better movies I’ve seen this year. I wish I watched it sooner. I’m adding the Ek Tha Tiger franchise to my watchlist after this movie - I’d like to watch more action movies with Katrina in it after this one left a sweet taste in my mouth.

okay so pakistan + india is very diverse in terms of culture, ethnical groups and range of skin. so if someone asks me why he’s so dark in a negative way i will seriously toss u in the trash. and if in a genuinely curious way, well the more u know!

i have gone crazy over him and still am going crazy. i literally had to clutch the wall when i first saw him. i fell to my Knees. i have made my friends see the light and they’re all obsessed with him too. i need to drape myself over his arms like heroines do in bollywood. u don’t understand i have the very Deep and Feral urge and need and want to bite him. he’s literally how it’d feel when u touch a cloud. he’s so Meow. so Meow. in the cats clawing something and their mouths twisting way. he leaves me faint i can never get over him. i’ve driven my friends up the wall w the way i’m fawning over him they’re probably sick of me 😭

i hc that he grew into jack’s mass and build due to genetics although they can be very funky. the shoulder-to-hip ratio is high bc he has a male ballet dancer’s physique and their shoulders have to be wider than their hips. i hc him to have done ballet. that and add in jack’s figure, u have the perfect recipe for broad shoulders. he isn’t supposed to have that broad shoulders but the artists style is like that. no complaints tho! he’s got lean muscles bc of his ballet and fighting background as phantom. u guys should read up on their strength and all the intense training they have to do to be so controlled and strong it’s crazy.

and he’s an adult man in my fics: so let him be flirty and dress whatever way he wants. let him be slutty. he’s Serving Cunt. idk i have this hc that as he grew older and more comfortable in his own skin he’d have tons of game. and i know this from person experience i have a friend who was an awkward mess and very like danny turn into a Huge Flirt after time and i’m like bro ???? how much did u change? good for u !! that and me and danny r like this 🤞🏽 i grew into my own skin too after some time and grew comfortable in dressing in diff ways and showing off skin + other things. danny would go thru it too

and yes i gave him piercings bc i Loveee piercings. i gotta give all my fav characters piercings

look at the jhumkas!!! the traditional nose ring!!!! Insane !!!!! so whenever i write abt him… keep this vision in ur head ty and gn.

(he doesn’t look so desi ik but the artists style is like that and they didn’t know how to make his skin brown and etc)
