Vader and Obi Wan giving off ✨Divorced Parents Coparenting Vibes✨ when they argue over what's better for Anakin.

Anakin lurches violently between "OMG I have a Dad??" and "Ew, you're not the Dad of me". Thanks to Vader's sudden appearance, Anakin forgets about the Padme situation for a loooooong while.

Which kind of was Vader's plan anyways. Now Palpatine can't blackmail or threaten Anakin with Padme or the marriage situation at all.

Dad Vader/Anakin and slowburn Obikin LEZZGO (although it's really just a compilation of random ideas in a document rn 😩)

“Peace, little one,” Anakin whispers, and the near-forgotten notes of a lilting warm voice almost floats in the air, harmonizing with his own broken timber. “I am here."

His gloved thumb slides back and forth on Luke’s forehead, smoothing out the lines over bunched-up muscles.

“Nothing will hurt you here.”

As he comforts his son, in his mind unfolds long ago memories and sensations. The anxiety and fear in a place so unfamiliar and unknown, full of beings that distrusted him. The determination to stay near the singular Light that felt safe and welcoming, and the cold hard floor on his back as he dared to get as close as he could to the source of the warmth. His mind skirting on the edge of consciousness and feeling engulfed by gentle touches and reassurance. Then the surprise when he wakes up and is greeted by the sight of two blue eyes crinkling at the sides with the strength of their owner’s smile, and soft words to greet the day.

He will have time for guilt later. For now, Anakin hopes that he can give the precious bundle in his arms the same measure of love that he was also selflessly given that night - and many other nights after - so long ago.

In my version of the popular AU, Luke is the Crown Prince of the Galactic Empire. The galaxy knows him as the son of Sheev Palpatine and Padmé Amidala (yuck!); this narrative was perpetuated by COMPNOR to garner wider support from those who idolized the late senator. The story goes that Padmé was murdered by the jedi because they were against her secret affair with the chancellor, but Darth Vader was able to save their child at the last minute.

Luke was raised at Varykino by the Naberrie family in accordance with Naboo tradition. They were his only true source of love during his childhood, and they helped him to be in touch with his culture. He grew up under the watchful eyes of his two Noghri bodyguards, Ahkelar and Arakhmil; despite their gruff exteriors, they are very caring. When he isn't on Naboo, he is often at the side of Darth Vader, his mentor and protector. Vader is stern and cold by nature, but he refrains from actually harming Luke. Luke both respects and fears Vader, viewing him as more of a father figure than Palpatine could ever be.

Palpatine's reasoning behind Luke being the Crown Prince is so he can be the poster boy for the Empire, as well as to torture Vader with his presence. Vader's son--the son he thought he lost--is alive, and Palpatine stole him. However, he is secretly training Luke to eventually overthrow the Emperor; as much as Luke hates the man he thinks is his father, he isn't elated about eventually taking his place. Palpatine's ultimate goal is to have Luke 'succeed' him while he would still be pulling the strings behind the scenes, but Vader wants him dead.

Vader was entrusted to train Luke in the ways of dark side, but not in the ways of the Sith so he wouldn't be a threat to Palpatine. This was followed to a certain point; while Vader didn't train Luke in the ways of the Sith, he also didn't exclusively train Luke in the ways of the dark side. Vader doesn't want Luke to be truly evil because he knows it would break Padmé's heart--he did it once, and he never wants to do it again. Ultimately, Luke doesn't see the force as being separated into the dark and the light, he just sees it as the force because that is what he was taught. Luke has multiple lightsabers that he made and collected--yellow, orange, pink, purple--but no red lightsabers, as he uses the dark side but isn't truly a darksider.

First would absolutely be, Fragmented Star Systems.

- Vader finds Luke at a very young age, in slavery, on Tatooine. It changes everything. (It is also the start of my Tatooine Slave Culture, which is something I am very proud of)

Second is very much Clones Have it Right with @ fiveshasarrived.

-Fives accidentally posts a video he shouldn’t have on the galaxy wide holonet. It saves the galaxy.

Third, To Living.

-The Force is really sick of all the clones dying. So it starts reincarnating them into other universes.

Fourth, What Dreams Are Made Of.

-teenage Anakin and Rex are sharing dreams. It changes the course of the Clone Wars entirely.

And Finally, Mar’eyir Aliit.

-Echo refuses to leave Crosshair behind on Kamino. He isn’t going to leave the rest of his vod’e with the Empire if he can help it, either. (Or, Echo starts a Clone rebellion)

The recent ask about Foundling Luke and your answer gave me a visceral need for a De-Aged Luke being fiercely protected by Artoo 😭 I'm just saying but in your WIP where both Luke and Vader are De-Aged i can see Artoo being ambivalent about Vader because it's Friend Ani but it's also Enemy Vader so he settles with Must Protect Little Angel (Luke) as a compromise and goes from helping Vader to mend things and all to purposefully fucking him over at the drop of a hat😭 i just need my favorite disaster husbands (namely Artoo and Threepio) to be given some love too

OT - Cursed into a dog

Summary: On Empire Life’s day, Vader disappeared. That same day, the Emperor paraded with a black dog leashed to his side, its muzzle forcibly shut and its fur darker than the blackest durasteel.

Characters: Firmus Piett, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker.

Main tropes: Non-consensual Animal Transformation, Angst, Happy Ending

Snippet:

One day his Superior in command disappeared and the Death Squadron was disbanded. The same day, the Emperor began to show off his new black dog. On the rare occasion Piett was unlucky enough to accompany his new superior to the throne room, he could see the beast snarl and bite as it struggled against its chains. The binds remained strong and each time, the dog’s struggle was in vain.

Piett wondered about the way the dog tensed when Palpatine gave it an order. He wondered about how sometimes the dog looked into his eyes and seemed to see Piett’s soul. He wondered about Darth Vader’s mysterious disappearance. Piett wondered about a great many things, but he knew better than to open his mouth. The Empire gave lethal rewards for free speech.

Months laters, the rebellion won and the dog disappeared from Piett’s sight. By the time his trial was done and any accusation dispelled under obeying orders, no one knew what happened to the late Emperor’s pet. There were whispers about the beast having turned the tide of the fight against the Emperor, giving the last blow. There were rumors about Jedi whisking the dog away, defending it against any who would try to put the beast down.

Piett pieced the events together well enough. A tension felt removed from his shoulders at the knowledge his previous superior found somewhere safe. He did not share the knowledge with anyone, rather keeping the secret safe in his heart. Yet, a doubt remains. Would the Jedi truly forgive the man who hunted them down?

One day, they see the black dog again. It’s dozing in the sun on a familiar-looking young man’s lap, looking much healthier than it had ever been at the palace. Piett remembers seeing the young Jedi face on the Holo. Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. He had been the figurehead of rebellion propaganda, before disappearing into nowhere.

The young man pet the dog. The dog’s tail wag happily in answer. A smile pulled on Piett’s lips. No matter the past, the two seem to have become good friends. There was no worry to be had.

While the Princess had certainly experienced Darth Vader in her own awful way, none of them had worked for him as Piett had. And he had no desire to see any of these young people die today. People he cared for.

The Princess was quiet for long moments, eyes distant.

“I cannot properly express how much I wish you were one of our officers, dear Captain,” she said at last. “But the fact that you exist even while serving…who you do, gives me some hope that this galaxy can know peace again. And I promise to tell you what you need to know when the time is right.”

He pressed his lips together, wondering just what she had planned.

A small hand landed on his arm lightly.

“I know I really shouldn’t have the right to ask this of you,” she continued, “but please trust me, Captain.”

He could see the crumbling walls of the deserted fortress above them now and angled the speeder toward it.

“My dear,” he said, “I am here based on Rebel intel, to face my Sith commander, along with two of the most wanted beings in the galaxy. I think we can safely say I am trusting you.”

And even in this serious moment, she laughed quietly as he took them the last mile up to the long abandoned building.

a protagonist says to another "from one fool to another, I hope you pick a better path". Unfortunately...it was not meant to be.

With his last dying breath, Darth Vadar - or rather Anakin - makes a force wish for a younger version of himself to pick a better path so that there would be a better future for his son.

Even if he's dying, Anakin is still very powerful and his dying wish is even stronger, fueled by his soul... so naturally if he wants to deliver this message to his younger self, well, the force moves him back in time and he gets a face to face meeting with his younger self...

Who's on Tatooine...

And just discovered his mother's dying body...

And Older version of Anakin still has a red lightsaber and all the trappings of a Sith Lord.

(Older version of Anakin thinks he's just been transported into one of his older memories.)

Younger Anakin gets the completely wrong message and now thinks that his biological father - because why else would this person cry so sadly over Shmi and why else would the Force whisper around him how this person is an older version of him? - is a Sith Lord - a fallen Jedi turned Sith Lord - warning him away from the Jedi path and the Republic government.

Older Anakin breathes his last breath and dies; but his body and all his gear is still there, in front of younger Anakin to explore and examine. One of the things that he finds is a datapad - a very advanced datapad! - about Darth Vadar trying to find and capture his son Skywalker before his Sith master Sidious can get to him along with ramblings about how the Jedi have been trying to corrupt his son.

Clearly, younger Anakin thinks, he is the son in question. Isn't it heartwarming to see how much his "dad" wanted to be reunited with him? But also isn't it concerning that all these people were so dedicated to keeping younger Anakin out of sight from the government? Maybe that's the real reason Anakin grew up in the Outer Rim, far far away from the Republic government's eyes...

*Holds an awkward silence for the Jedi Temple and Palpatine as Anakin comes up with a million insane conspiracy theories*
