Test of adult!Ember from my Cymber Rivalry AU. Don’t worry, most of the blood isn’t hers.

Fun fact about adult!Ember in the Cymber Rivalry and other AUs where she appears as an adult: she has facial hair/a beard like her mother and other Shoutfire relatives. I decided in the Cymber Rivalry AU she would cut it short/shave it off so the enemy had one less place to grab, but as a civilian, she wears it in a magnificent heart-shaped braid.
I still have not figured out how to draw that magnificent heart-shaped braid. 💔

Fun idea for the rivalry AU if you're still interested. Neither Cynder or Ember are a stranger to the heat of battle and myriad of confrontations where it's either them or the enemy. So after a grueling campaign testing their mettle, the rivals/lovers are about to face their greatest challenge/competition yet... Attending a Fancy Gala, where they must dress to impress and practice etiquette.
Ohohohohoho yesss anon, your mind. Etiquette, dancing, smoldering glares full of passion across the ballroom…delicious. What if Cynder’s never learned to dance and Ember must teach her…

Just one more word on the rivalry Au scenario with Cynder and Ember both laid up in the same hospital tent (same anon) Just cue Spyro as one of the main nurses
Oh boy. Spyro is probably a volunteer nurse and a country boy in the big city for the first time, so he is in no way equipped to handle either of them-at least, not yet. He is very, very, aware he’s out of his depth, but people keep putting him in positions of responsibility because he’s the Purple Dragon™️, despite his protests that anything beyond fishing, punching Bulb Spiders, and Dragonfly folklore is currently beyond his area of expertise. He is one of the only ones who Cynder respects, other than Ember.

Where's Flame in your Cymber Rivalry AU? Does he eventually meet and fall in love with Spyro?
I’m not sure-I think Flame might be one of the random blacksmiths for the Dragon Armies, or he might be one of Ember’s staff officers. She picked him as one of her staff because she trusts him and thought he could handle the pressure, but it’s turning out he might not be able to, so she very well may have to dismiss him-I haven’t decided yet. Once Spyro shows up, if this AU is taking the course I think it is, his first encounter with Flame may be with a blacksmith absolutely Marinating in stress,  a staff officer for one of the Dragon Armies’ generals who is also Absolutely Marinating In Stress, or a disgraced blacksmith turned staff officer turned blacksmith again. It’ll be interesting, I can tell you that.

Imagine int he rivalry au, after a grueling battle, Corrupted Cynder and General Ember end up sharing a recovery room, the tension would go way up and they might even start fighting each other again.
You beautiful genius, you. They wake up in the same field hospital tent next to each other and since they’re both too injured to move or talk at first, they just glare at each other.  The Sapphic Smolder is off the charts. Then, as soon as they’re able to talk, they immediately start bickering and complimenting each other, sometimes in the same sentence. The nurses try to move them to opposite ends of the tent, then to different tents, but it’s no use-they keep getting up and dragging themselves over to the other to talk.

Maybe a good way for Flame and Spyro to properly get together could be through the Florence Nightingale effect (Patient and carer falling in love) Like with how much Flame stresses, he could worry himself sick, but will luckily have volunteer nurse Spyro to care for him, albeit originally to temporarily get out of his myriad of forced upon responsibilities
I’ll be honest, this sounds like an interesting idea, but I’m uncomfortable implementing it in my AU because of the imbalance between doctor/nurse and patient relationships. Please don’t take it personally.
