Smiling Critters AU: Dogday's Psyche

NOTE: THIS IS NOT RELATED TO CANON IN THE SLIGHTEST. An accurate description of this au is that I took every playtime.co poster art and promotional material from the game and lit up the rest of canon in a bonfire. Meaning that EVERY character is part of one big cartoon. Thats it. No bigger bodies project, no child souls, no experiments, just a depiction of a cartoon. PLEASE do not ask me to do anything suggestive with anyone.

OK I know it's been a while since I posted one of these but bear with me here this one was interesting to write

So dogday

In my other posts, I've already made him a constant in everyone's lives (as he's the main character) but I want to go into how he thinks because that explains alot of his actions and most importantly, his interactions with catnap.

Tldr, dogday is elation (que demoic giggling if you get the reference)

Now usually when you see a happy go lucky character you immediately go "they've either had the happiest childhood ever and are genuinely like this or they didn't and they're faking it" and that was gonna be my original assessment with dogday. But yk.....that's bland. So i decided to mix the two: pretty bad childhood but they're happy....unhealthily so. Hear me out here:

In my au, dogday was abandoned as a baby at a foster home. So they "raised him" (they just did just over the bare minimum, I don't wanna villianize the workers though because they did have like a bunch of other kids there as well, not excusing them of course) but he was mostly left to his own devices. Normally this would dampen a child's spirit but dogday is quite a fighter, finding joy or happiness wherever he could. Whether it be picture books or TV shows, he found a way to make himself happy. And All the media he knew subtly shunned sadness or anger or anything of the sort. So now all dogday knew was happiness, as anything else was 'bad' and needed to be fixed.

The people around him didn't help his mindset either. After interacting with the other kids there, they usually had some semblance of an uplift in mood for the rest of their day. It usually didn't last long, though, because while dogday lived there their entire life, the others were there due to...unfortunate circumstances. He also could notice how the workers felt like he was a breath of fresh air compared to the other children, who mostly needed consoling, while dogday was 'self-sufficient' (they try I swear they're just not good at it)

So all in all, after 13 years of this dogday... was in a very unique state of mind. If you want a simple explanation, then he has this mental limiter. Anything happy or can bring joy can stay, and any other thoughts get snuffed out immediately. So he's not faking happiness. In a way, he just doesn't know anything else. Present him a situation where someone is sad his first instinct is to cheer them up, and usually it works, but in the situation it doesn't, he'll pretty much blue-screen. Cuz after all, it's always worked before, what else does he know?

So enter catnap.

Catnap is essentially his foil, and his main purpose is to help him see the other side of things because sun and moon dynamic yk I had to do it

Someone like catnap won't be cheered up normally, catnaps sort of nihilistic when it comes to problems, believing nothing can be done about it, cause in his situation he had no control over what happened, so why try and fix what he can't, that's meaningless. So letting his emotions pass by and move on is his way of 'comfort' So dogday's attempts at cheering him up doesn't work, and as Dogday does in those situations, he blue-screens. Normally when dogday fails to cheer someone up and he visibly panics, they'll give him a smile or a laugh, and seeing that instantly fills dogday with relief, even though he doesn't see that it doesn't reach their eyes.

Catnap won't do that however, because of his own coping mechanism. So dogday will panic, quietly spiraling into thoughts like "why isn't it working, what do I do, how do I fix this" and catnap reads his face and tells him to stop, he just needs a moment. Dogday wouldn't understand, he's never seen sadness be good for someone.

And from there his learning journey begins (aka how to feel other things)

Art I'm Looking Forward To In 2023

I wanted to share the art that I think might be good coming out in 2023. I am not including ongoing art that I am looking forward to not because it doesn't belong here but because I might make another post about those things. I don't want this too be too crowded. Each of this will be given an SPS - Sapphic Potential Score which says how likely I think it is that they will make my lesbian ass happy. These are mostly goofs on what I think is likely not to be taken seriously.

Fire Emblem Engage

This is probably the thing I am most excited about, it's like my whole personality right now, I am obsessed. I really love the wild art style and the gameplay looks really solid. The concept of fusing with old Fire Emblem characters is really cool. The flying base is really awesome and all the fashion and side content looks really cute. I think this could be at the top of Fire Emblem games gameplay wise.

I do have worries about this game, narratively it seems rather basic, fight an evil dragon, maybe your half evil dragon, collect the mugffins and kill the big dragon. The game's DLC and Amiibo stuff is frustrating in the amount of content being gated off. The roster size sounds potentially pretty small seemingly going to tie around the same roster size as the smaller casts. I am also worried how Rosardo will be treated and I really hope we avoid a Forrest situation.

That said, I am way more excited then I am worried and I am a dirty little consumer who already pre-ordered the DLC knowing I will play the game day one and I want Edelgard with me. I mostly use my Twitter account to tweet about Fire Emblem Engage nowadays, I am just so excited and if you DM me to talk about the game, I will just gush about it for however long you'll let me. I can't wait and am glad we're getting it near the start of the new year.

SPS: Player Sexual and Historians will say they were besties/10

Arcane Season 2

While Arcane was far from a perfect show for me, I really love the breath taking style of animation and Jinx and look forward to seeing what happens moving forward and if they'll give Vi her terrible canon fate of becoming a cop. I think the character designs are all stunning and seeing the animation in motion is just so captivating I can't help but be enraptured in the show and want to watch more.

Not to mention the actual character interactions are all really engaging with brilliant voice acting from everyone involved really capturing the world. It's never boring when things are on screen even when the politics are mid at best. Ekko also presents what appears to be a solar punk anarchist alterative in season 1 but we'll see how that is handled by the show.

This show is a blessing and a curse, with the curse being now I know all this League OF Legend lore cuz I got really curious after and started playing Legends Of Runeterra but Legends Of Runeterra is one of the most interesting card games out there, so not a total loss. I know I'll be going into season 2 very different now knowing about all the things from the games where as before I really didn't think of this little war between countries in a wider nerd universe context. I am really interested on how I'll enjoy.

SPS: Directors Says It's Canon but not on screen/10

Assorted Entanglements, Vol. 1

I love myself some Yuri manga and while I prefer a more action forward Yuri I do like a Slice of life from time to time and having an anthology of stories bout women loving women who are adults or at least one story features an adult is exciting.

This little collection of yuri manga sounds really cute. I don't have a lot to say about it, I don't even know what all is in it, I just like the sound of it.

SPS: No Queer ID But Very Gay/10

Super Lesbian Animal RPG

[Technically this is out very soon but ya know, end of the year lists are already up and I won't beat this till next year]

I've been looking forward to this game for a long time, I've been backing the creator for probably 2 years maybe 3 now on the dev journey. Whatever the number from the first time I played the demo I was hooked on this sweet little indie RPG. The character designs are adorable and colorful, the kissing mechanic is so cute, and really this is just what I want out of a game.

I really love when games just sell their queerness on the tin, I hate having to go and just randomly play a game and hope to the goddess queer coded or characters I just like are gay, here, I already know I am gonna get gay after gay after gay. Also having the protagonist be a trans woman is really cool and super rare to this day in the industry.

This game looks like it'll be one of my favorite games of all time not just next year and I can't wait to finally start playing it. Please check this game out, support indie queer art.

The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady Season 1

This series has a delightful name but seems to be far from the typical isekai fair. The series is a yuri and it is far less focused on the girl being super awesome because her past life and instead kinda treat her knowing about her past life as a thing that causes her to have a disability in this world. The Genius Young Lady makes magical inventions because she can't use magic, so she learned how to make items that make magic happen.

The girl is super sweet and kind and it doesn't feel gross at all. It's more or less just a fantasy story with the Isekai seemingly thrown in for getting the book published. It's a really interesting series that I haven't gotten very far in but I think this is going to be a super special anime. I really think this year might end up giving me my favorite animes of all time.

SPS: Yuri/10

Asumi-chan is Interested in Lesbian Brothels! Vol. 1

[Technically this is out now but I haven't read it and won't get to it till next year] In terms of upcoming Yuri manga this isn't one I am sure I am gonna grab right away but it is one I am intended to grab whenever I can. Sometimes you want something a bit more horny then your chaste "do I like her" vibes. In particular what has me excited about this one because it actually is invoking Lesbian identity.

It is shockingly rare for sapphic manga in general but in particular yuri to talk about sexuality. We get homosexuality without sapphic identities, lives, problems, etc. I love when we are more zoomed into the real world way we use labels and we explore ourselves and communicate ourselves. While it's not "needed" to tell a sapphic story, I do think it adds a lot to bring in queerness.

Plus, I mean, a girl going to Lesbian Brothels, that's cool, i'm in.

SPS: Horny Lesbian's Wanted/10

Street Fighter 6

Of all the fighting game series, Street Fighter isn't my favorite but it might become my favorite thanks to this game. The massively in depth character creator seems to be beyond what any other game is providing in the whole industry. The utterly stunning range of possibilities is just so captivating that I am compelled to buy this game simply to dress up my character.

I really enjoy playing fighting games even if I am not particularly great at them. There was a time where I really strives to be a competitive level player and that did include playing SF4 a lot. While playing that game I fell in love with Juri and her returning here also really drew me in, plus following Chun-li's arc as a mother finally after so many years from SF3 where she adopted her child.

My only real worries for this is DLC prices and general business practices along with if I'll be able to use my OC creations in casual vs modes where I feel I should be able to use them. I hope the DLC isn't priced poorly and I really hope you can take your OCs to casuals even if they have to commit to one characters moveset instead of the custom ones from World Tour Mode.

SPS: Just say Juri is gay already/10

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 2

Technically this is an ongoing series but there will be a break between seasons so, it goes here, I make the rules. I love The Witch From Mercury so far, Sulleta is adorable, I think her and Mio are cute together, I think the cast is fun and the action is stunningly animated. I have loved season 1 so far, I only didn't include it in my list of art that touched me this year because season 1 isn't done yet and won't be done till next year too. Bad endings could for sure ruin this but ahhh I love this show.

This show has really great characters, so many shitty people I hate but I hate in a great way. Then it has characters I fucking love like Sulleta, Chuchu, and Prospera who are just fucking amazing top level characters, best characters in the biz. Then there is the utterly stellar action, I mean take my breath away, I love this shit. It really is just really fucking good.

I can't help but worry that the show will fail to deliver actual queerness but it really doesn't seem like it will. Still, I can't help but worry about it. I also worry about the story kinda falling off in season 2 but I really don't know what is gonna happen, all I know is I am locked in right now and excited every Sulleta Sunday.

Wake The Living 2

While I hadn't become instantly hooked on the original Wake The Living, the improvements to the game for the sequel is utterly thrilling. With the game already being very queer and having a fun more gothic edge to most SRPGs it really is setting up a familiar yet strange little world to enter.

What really sold me on this game was the developer talking about wanting to have canon polyamory as a major part of the story and about how canon queerness not just player choice mattered to them so it really pulled me in and I still really want to beat the original before I play Wake The living 2. The first game is out for free, right now, go get it, it costs nothing if you don't like it you can delete it from your steam.

SPS: Polycule Party/10

I'm In Love With The Villainess Season 1

[Warning, kinda spoilers except I don't say who does what]

I'm In Love With The Villainess has it all, I can only hope that the anime gets to go on long enough for us to see it. We got demons, trans women, lesbians who get married and adopt some kids, revolutions and so much more. The series is really good and gay and written with tons of passion by a queer woman.

This I suppose has long passed being an indie series but it was a little webnovel that good and made it's way all the way to being an anime thanks to fan support, which has also been a large amount of queer fans. This anime is really exciting and I honestly can't wait and hope this brings in way more fans to this amazing series.

SPS: A queer revolution/10

Granblue Fantasy Relink

I love the Granblue Fantasy's gacha game world, it's a totally unethical business' model and I hope it becomes Illegal but I love the game. Granblue Fantasy is one of the queerest games of it's scale around. Now most queer readings of characters are readings and they use the word friends but there is explicitly a few queer characters with stated queer desires, Vira Lillie is attracted to women, Katarina in particular but her bio says women generally, then Katarina as a level above. Cagliostro and Ladiva are both expressly trans women in their stories, they do not use the label of trans but both are explicitly trans, although only Cagliostro gets the "female" Gender marker from the game. Rosetta who is confirmed to be playable in this game is explicitly bisexual with her bio mentioning she is attracted to men and women. There is more and then a lot more subtexty characters.

This is to say that I really love queer characters in games and being able to play them in a really stunning action RPG is fucking exciting as hell. No gacha mechanics, no microtransactions [probably], and a full story that is playable start to finish. It also is gonna have online co-op! This game sounds fucking perfect honestly, like it's so cool and looks so good, I am frankly dazzled at the amount of work that went into this given it's a spin off RPG of a Gacha RPG.

I have worries about potential annoying DLC practices, in particular if in GBF awards will be locked to playstation buyers again leaving PC players in the dust. I also worry about the roster, right now we know all the Dragon Knights are in and the main crew of the Grand Cypher but that's like it. It isn't exactly an exciting cast. I'd like to see a lot more characters and hope a lot of popular ones aren't gated off to DLC like they were in Grandblue Fantasy Verus. Regardless, I am excited and look forward to giving this a stab.

This is what our cars look like for a long time it's kind of funny cuz I see it and I think wow that's awesome he sees it thinks that's great it's a competitor for Fiat which costs way too much and right now it's a kit car and it's only as one they're going to fix it up and it's going to be much better and then they'll make chassis designs and they will produce them for by themselves and but they're going to help with the design and I've seen the designs that they're awesome this is going to be a great car as it is it is a great car because ours don't go that fast and can't handle as well and probably don't last as long the ones are crap and his are Briggs & Stratton and when they go to the new chassis which will probably be soon because they won't have enough lawn mowers they still at The woodlands and really we're going to talk to billions instead of millions they have a Briggs & Stratton engine company so I want some involvement and if they need help they can come to me and then Briggs & Stratton engine is something we can get to a lot of and I need to make those and she's interested and it's a good idea and the chassis they can build and this will be engineered but they weren't interest cuz they're probably going to buy a ton of these and I mean it too they probably will by the time and it's going to be mass produced pretty soon and she's going to be world famous and she is a princess it's really nice I can't believe it's finally happening this is so awesome it's going to go to China and it'll go to Japan Google everywhere a friend will probably have one

We're going to publish he's having trouble with the screen but boy this is great this is a great car what a great idea he says it's like this sedan one with a bigger motor and it's just like a pickup they know about all that stuff and they look the same and different than the square one he showed but they will make them and he'll probably end up with one cuz they're going to be less expensive than he thinks and they're going into production now and we're going to help Mac is going to help in the McDonald's and minority warlock are into a big time and we'll work in the factories and foreigners and really our senses I can do something maybe you own one and that would save a lot of headaches but he needs money unfortunately cuz he would just be driving around right now doing nothing and he can't drive around now they say so they have to wait on the car so he's understanding that but small money would not allow it to have a car and it's about $4,000 every few months and you can't get a car but this is going to stop soon enough and the empire is the problem when the ship goes off the empire is a problem this nonsense will stop but four grand every month he says is not going to get him a car it's true too you have stuff to buy things to fix

I'm not very curvy and I literally have the body of a cereal box...lol but its fine because I have nice hips and thighs. I have thick brown hair that goes down to my back and it gets tangled pretty easily but its kinda fluffy. I have brown eyes and tiny freckles all over my face and body. I also have a very strong grunge style, like Flannels, band t-shirts, combat boots, leather jackets etc. But i'd also always enjoy a nice oversized sweatshirt or hoodie with a pair of skinny, ripped jeans and some converses or something along those lines.

For my personality.....this is where things get interesting. At first people find me very intimidating due to my resting bitch face and cold exterior but I promise i'm not like that ALL the time. When you get to know me, i'm goofy and about everything that comes out of my mouth is sarcasm or some dry humored joke. I'm also that one friend in a group where they literally will do the stupidest shit ever like for an example one time it was super dark outside and my other friend was there, while I was trying to climb a tree and I failed and fell out of the tree, and landed on my back. I got straight up after that somehow it didn't hurt.....like at all? But yeah i'm super reckless and sometimes people have to save me from myself if you get what I mean. I also have a very strong "I don't give a fuck" attitude and I will not hesitate to stick up for myself or my friends....like i'm the type of person where if someone glares at me, i'll glare right back.

I have bad anxiety and I can be very self destructive. This is where my feisty, stubborn, hardheaded side comes in. If I want something then i'll fight for it even if it hurts me and i'll get into a bad cycle of putting myself down and trying to do better even if I did great the first time but I always push myself too far and other people have to stop me because I usually can't see it when its happening. I also cover my emotions up and I have a lot of trouble talking about whats bothering me or what problems i'm having emotionally so I put up a wall and I act tough, or happy and sometimes i'll be the exact opposite but I try to hide it.

Weird things about me: I've grown up in the south all my life so sometimes when I talk a few words they'll come out sounding WAYYY more country and southern then I wanted, I don't have an accent but sometimes my words just come out that way. I also love the smell of cigarette smoke....let me explain. When I was a kid my parents smoked a lot and I was used to smelling it and now it reminds me of home and is sort of comforting. Sometimes in the middle of the night you can find me just staring at a wall or something because I can't go to sleep.....I have trouble sleeping.....

Things I like: I love swimming (I was on a swim team for about 9 years), I love horror movies, I like rain and the sounds of thunderstorms because its calming to me, I also love the smell of rain, I like cloudy days, cooking, listening to 80's and 90's rock but mainly 90's because 90's is the best, My favorite bands are Bush, Audioslave, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkoln Park, Pearl jam but i'm pretty open to anything.

Things I dislike: Spiders.......I will scream if I see a spider.

Midoriya Izuku

Of course. I’m lost. again. It’s my third week at UA, but I still get lost in Musutafu. Having come from a much smaller village, I still need to get used to living in such a large place. This is even more frustrating because I really have been trying to memorize places in the city, especially the places that are near my house, but it’s so big here! On top of that, there are a billion streets that look the same.

It would be a good idea to call Midoriya, but I don’t want to burden him… He has been studying a lot for our midterms and I know he gets tired after school. We also aren’t really close, so it feels a little weird to ask him for help. At the same time, he’s the only one that knows me well in our class. Knowing him, if he finds out I didn’t ask him for help, he might feel bad about it.

With a sigh I finally grab my phone. It’s a little hard, since my hands are full with both my backpack and a bag with clothes, but I finally did it. For a moment, my fingers hover above the screen but I shake my head and call him. I didn’t need to wait long until Midoriya picked up the phone.

“Hi Y/n!”

“Hey Midoriya..”

“Is something wrong?” he asks. I play with the bottom of my blouse and sigh. This is so embarrassing.

“You see, I got lost. Again.” I say and chuckle awkwardly. I could hear him let out a small laugh, but soon he cleared his throat.

“Can you describe what the area you’re at looks like?”

Let’s see… There’s a park!

“On the left side I see a park,” I begin and continue to name more of my surroundings. After a little, Midoriya speaks up.

“I think I know where you are. I’ll be there soon!” He says before he hangs up and I sigh in relief. Knowing it’s best to stay where I’m at right now, I just look around and slowly rock back and forth on my feet. It feels a little awkward to be honest.. I just hope he gets here soon.

After waiting for what doesn’t feel like that long, I see Midoriya from a distance. He is running and seems exhausted. How is he still running?

Once he finally gets to me, he stops to catch his breath. He rests his hands on his knees while panting heavily.

“Are you okay?” he lifts his hand up as a sign to let me know he’s alright, but the rest of his body tells me otherwise. “Why did you run that quickly?”

“I,” he takes a deep breath. “I was worried that something would happen since you were all alone.” my heart stopped beating for a short moment.

“It’s not dark outside though, I’ll be fine. I’m a UA student.’’ I grin and internally pray that Midoriya can’t hear my heart pounding in my chest. It seems that I’m right, because he doesn’t comment on my flustered state at all.

“Yeah, but I also know you sometimes have troubles with finding your way here.” He’s not completely wrong… “How about we go back to the dorms now? It’s winter, so it’ll get dark soon.” I nod. The walk is silent.

“So,” he breaks the tranquility. “Where did you go before you got lost?” Midoriya asks, his gaze ending up on the bag I was holding. I chuckle awkwardly and avoid his gaze.

“Well… I know the UA festival is coming up soon, so I wanted to look for something nice to wear. I kind of… forgot how I got there and ended up walking around, but that confused me even more and I also didn’t know where the stores were!” Without really thinking, my mind continues speaking on its own. “and so I just tried looking around, but I had no idea and I didn’t really want to ask strangers so…. yeah…” Shoot, I’ve just been rambling on and on. I look at Midriya, who smiles softly.

“It’s really cool that you thought of it already! B-but…” his cheeks turn red and he purses his lips for a moment. “y-you can ask me to come along next time? So you won’t get lost of course! I don’t mind joining you at all.” he laughs nervously. He’s so cute…

“I will do that next time.” I nod, to which he smiles. “Let’s go back now before it gets late.” I say before grabbing his hand. He yelps in surprise, but doesn’t try to shake off my hand. That’s good right?

“Sorry, this is okay right?” I ask, just to be sure. He nods frantically.

“Yes yes don’t worry! Uh…, let’s go back now!’

Todoroki Shouto

A dead end… Again. An exhausted sigh escapes my mouth as I turn back around to leave the street. Why does this city have to be this big? In two years I’ll still be trying to find my way here..

Okay, I have two options now. The first one is that I just keep doing what I’ve been doing for an hour; trying to find my way back to the UA dorms. The second option is that I ask someone for help. But that’s so embarrassing.. Everyone else in 1-A perfectly knows their way around, meanwhile I’m still struggling to even find my way back home. I should know this stuff by now.

Still, even though it’s embarrassing to ask for help again, I also just want to go home. Who should i call… Not Bakugou, not in the mood to be yelled at today. Midoriya went to study with Uraraka, so I can’t contact those two either. Iida would just lecture me.. Is Todoroki busy? I guess I’ll try to call him to find out.

While waiting for him to pick up, I anxiously tap my foot on the ground. I hope I’m not bothering him or anything.

“Y/n?”

“H-hey Todoroki!” I say a little too loudly, making me cringe at myself. “I’m so sorry if I’m bothering you, but you see… I got lost in Musutafu again..” I can hear the softest chuckle, which yes sounds like heaven, but Todoroki immediately clears his throat.

“Do you know where you are? I can come and get you.”

“Not really…” I reply, a bit embarrassed.

“How about you share your location on your phone?” he asks. Right, that’s a good idea!

“I’ll do that, but are you sure you aren’t busy?”

“I finished the homework and don’t have anything else to do.’’

“Alright… Thanks for the help!” I send him my location and he replies, telling me it will take about 10 minutes for him to get here. That’s fine, I can wait.

After a few minutes my stomach starts to grumble. My hands cover my stomach instinctively. I check the time, and see that it is almost dinner time. Jeez, was I really out for that long? I mean it’s already dark so I should have known, but still.

My face lights up when I see Todoroki walking up to me. I make my way towards him and smile.

“Hi!” I greet him happily. “Thanks for the help.” He shrugs.

“The dorms aren’t too far from here. Oh,” he looks down and I notice a bag, which he gives me.

“Bakugou was on cooking duty today and it seemed like everyone was really hungry, so I took a piece for you.” While it seems like a small gesture, I notice that my heartbeat speeds up for a moment when our hands touch for just a moment.

“Thank you.” is all I manage to say, and I swear he smiles for a moment.

“Let’s go. Iida wasn’t too happy when he saw you still weren’t back” I chuckle. Of course.

“Let’s go back then.” I open the bag. Ah, Bakugou’s cooking smells so good!! “Oh, do you want some too?” he shakes his head.

“I already ate.” he responds. “but I appreciate the offer. Let’s go.” The walk is quiet, but enjoyable nonetheless. Silence with Todoroki is never really awkward, but comforting. While I quietly munch at the lovely food, I look around, so I won’t get lost again next time (hopefully.) Knowing me, I’ll probably get lost again though.

“You sure you don’t want a bite?” I ask. He shakes his head again, but then his gaze lowers. Without telling me, he leans forward to touch my cheek. I let out a surprised yelp, not sure what to do.

“Todoroki?” he doesn’t reply, but brushes his hand over my cheek and then leans back.

“There was something on your face.” he deadpansbefore turning back around and continuing to walk. He’s just going to leave like that?

“W-wait!”

Tbh (this may be biased) but I think the Gotham tv show is literally the best dc comics adaptation of anything ever! it is superior to all thier shows movies animations and the arrowverse at least in my books lol

Love seeing him get that recognition! But yeah, the age is def off, like I cant remember how old they said he was in the show, maybe 16? but too young for red hood in live action form. Like its hard cause in reality 16 year olds and 19 year old boys typically don't look too different, for the most part, while comics you can get get away with it more. Huh, yeah, it doesn't seem like Talia is gonna happen, maybe just maybe a cameo or something? Cause we also weren't expecting joker but here we are(tho it almost looks like he wont be a big plot point/even see him much, it almost looks like it is just showing how brutal gotham is? But like its just the trailer and doesnt always give the full picture so who knows!)

Omg YES about Gotham! I 1000% agree! Im also biased cause its what got me into batman, again like exactly a year ago! It got me into the world like no other media of dc had before!(well, Shazam did, i guess tech thats the start of my interest in dc/first time i read the comics, but gotham is what really got me into this spiral). I hate how much hate it gets, like yeah its not perfect and they took creative liberties obviously, but i 100% agree that its the best adoption of DC yet! 100%! Its so nice to see the characters and rogues fleshed out more. I feel like it successfully did what Nolan tried to do in terms of making it dark and realistic, but in a way that was more accurate and true to the comics! I wish it wasn’t canceled so early and thus the last season had to be so rushed :(

thats smart, i typically dont look for spoilers and stuff anymore but I just got so hyper focused that I had to look at least what the stars were putting out on social media, but yeah, i use to get so caught up in all that that it took the fun out of seeing it live.

Oh my gosh, that would seriously be the PERFECT end to batman and joker story in this universe omg. Amen about all that! And like it would hopefully show Jason how much he cares? So maybe Bruce would kill him after red hood emerges? It will be interesting to see hat causes Jason to be so dang pissed in this version.

ahaha yes riddler is my fav! (my header gave it away didn’t it xD) I love most Riddlers but ESPECIALLY gotham riddler, Ed is like one of my fav character of all time. Oooh, I don’t know central city rogues all that well(well, way more than Metropolis rogues, I know so little about superman world), like I know some from the first 3 and a half seasons of the flash (I watched a couple years ago but got busy with school and couldn’t keep up and just never caught up/didnt have motivation to finish(plus i forgot so much id have to rewatch everything again), but I saw they finally just introduced Bart Allen, so I have have to randomly jump back in for a bit cause Bart is one of my favsss), and the ones in the cartoons and stuff

Ha! true, i dont mind it when its for character development or if I happen to be super into the ship(like Nygmakins in Gotham omg, I know they are super unpopular but they are like one of my OTPs omg), I feel like it has to be balanced right/not too much focus on the drama of the relationship over everything else. Like a minor subplot is good but don’t make it the focus of the show. And yeah , supergirl never appealed to me cause of that reason! i like drama and not JUST action (I like psychological drama, as long as there is comfort to follow xD) but yea i get what u mean by too much relationship focus . I think, for the most part, Gotham did that pretty well.

i feel as though whatever leenesh said to them about leaving, worked in his favour, because ruvya to me get equal amounts of emphasis and screen time as shivika. i don't know, it feels like this whole merger was a mistake. no one is happy with it and even though lee & kunal are saying they know what they're doing, eventually, I think they'll start to get annoyed at being pushed to the sidelines again. (more so than they already are / have been)

I actually think so too. And that made me so angry cuz when Andas started in DBO..they got so much focus and development. In mere weeks they seemingly got more development, “goals” scenes, and more importantly a semblance of a proper story that RiKara never got. Then there was them being inserted in every single RiKara scene toh matlab..! Theek thaak gussa kiya hai maine. But post merger even that has ended and it has become blatantly obvious that Ruvya is being literally shoved down the audience’s throat. It is literally the case of kal ke bache who haven’t done shit to earn their place standing on the shoulders of people who have worked their asses off to reach the position of popularity. EVERYTHING is being served to them on a platter and the old fans of the show can’t stand for this. Ruvya as a couple and Bhavya as a character don’t organically fit in with rest of the characters/story. I’ve said this before, ALL the characters have been compromised to make them look natural and not something that was added in last minute. The CVs may think just because they forgot about Rudra’s past, the audience would too. But that clearly isn’t happening. The more Bhavya is made to look like she’s the fated third angle of the ObBahus..the more people remember Soumya and how she just fit so naturally within in the Oberois dynamics. Sure, their jodi do have a fanbase but so do Priyanka-Ranveer. I’m just saying.

I can’t claim to know what’s going on in the actors’ minds. Initially even I was mad at Kunal for not doing something drastic like Lee to ensure his story would also get meat in the show. But post merger..RiKara have been SOOO on point that I can’t complain. So i guess whatever his strategy was..it worked. Right now the track is focusing on the ObBros with the baby. But individually Omkara’s track with Gauri is also progressing and THANK GOD for that! I don’t mind them getting 5-8 minutes of the screentime as long as those minutes count. And so far..every minute of theirs have counted. So I’m happy :)

#incidentally just now i was reading a thread #about how unnatural the girls' bonding is #and the current girls scenes were beign compared to the mallika track #and everyone was blaming Bhavya for it #too bad Gulneet don't care #they are happy with Andas so these Andas will be fried everyday :))#the hints of Gauri being Chutki have always been strong #but sit back and watch Bhavya somehow being the third sister happen #cuz GulNeet are hell bent on doing everything to make Bhavya a proper thing #shame really..#anon #replies
